Shipping Hell v. 2.2
I long for the days that when someone said they wanted to ship with your muse, they meant it.
None of this: "Ship with my muse you cowards" then dipping out and ghosting your muse for weeks at a time after they got you to say yes to shipping, only to come back hard for a week or two, get everyone worked up again, and bounce out AGAIN as the spastic shipper chases a new, shiny object. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Remember when people wrote with you nonstop, bombed your DM's with headcannons and gushings, tagged aesthetics that reminded them of the shipped muses, etc? Remember when people actually knew how to juggle and be a partner? It was a double effort and we had LOADS of fun!
Now it's just: "I wanna ship with your muse SO BAD!" But that always translates out to: "I wanna ship with your muse for 5 solid minutes before I switch focus for months and then come back like a hero, letting you think I've given you some kind of boon to rekindle our ship only to dip out again for a new fandom or pet."
Don't do this.
Don't ask for ships and world builds with partners that take it way more seriously than you do. Go find another flake to ship with and leave those of us that want to gush, alone.
If I was to go Freud 101 on this situation, I'd conclude that the spastic shipper purposely seeks out a devoted shipper so they can get that immense high out of a very committed shipper in order to keep it alive and powerful while they spread their gnat-like attention span on others. Thus, keeping the devotee in their back pocket "just in case" they come back and have a built-in thread waiting for them.
Rude. And SELFISH.
Know what kind of shipper you are. And go find the writer that matches your stride.

Another break from current happenings to gush about a ship:
Literally nothing you can come up with will have the power and softness of Sun Wukong's debut, okay? Nothing. You cannot hope to match the romance, the dignity, in how Sun Wukong literally strutted into Blake Belladonna's life and made it better.
This dude gets off a boat he boarded illegally in an unfamiliar place, and pretty much the first things he sees are: a) cops and b) pretty girls. He blitzes it out past both of those and he has that flashbang wink at the ready. There's four girls there that are all standing right next to each other and pretty much equally beautiful, but he chooses Blake. Why? Because he knows the second he sees her that she's a faunus. He's got a tail he can't hide, it attracts attention, and he sees this faunus trying to keep her secret--and he lets her know it's safe.
(And then Blake gets her heart put on hold, and Weiss is like "We have to observe him!" and she's just standing there dizzy thinking "same").
He keeps going, leads the police past her and only jumps out of their reach once RWBY's chase is stalled by them smacking into Penny. And we don't see him again until that night (after Weiss mutates into someone's racist mom) and Blake has fled her dorm damn near in tears. We only hear his voice and he only says one line but it's enough.
"I knew you would look better without the bow."
He knew from the start she was a faunus hiding her race, and when he sees her all alone, emotional and compromised, the first thing he does is assure her that she looks good the way she naturally does--as herself. Not wearing something to make her look more white human.
The next time we see these two, this dude who doesn't even know her has stuck by her for almost two days so she won't have to be alone in a city that's hostile to people like her. He doesn't press her for details, doesn't try to make her talk, doesn't complain. He just waits for her to talk when she's ready, and when she does talk, he listens.
He doesn't ingratiate himself to her exclusively, either. The first question he asks is if she's told her friends any of this, friends he has laid eyes on exactly once--asking if she feels safe enough amongst her peers to be open about her history. She doesn't, so he stays. Even though he was initially ill about the White Fang, he accepts her as someone with ties to the organization and assists her when she wants to clear their name.
He keeps her fed, he watches her back, and he stays behind when she charges in, only getting involved once it's clear she needs help. They barely know each other but they quickly become a team, Sun working support for a girl who's headstrong and passionate but full of doubts. It just works.

Cybervampire Megatron feeds on Soundwave
Behold the yet worse pinnacle/ditch of my fall from grace.
I once made a drawing of cybervampire/not dead terrorcon Megatron (like it happened to Airachnid) for an exchange (it's horror type/dead dove I guess because of depiction of mild torture) and now it spawned an AU in my mind.
My old deeply rooted inclinations stemmed new branches and I intend to indulge into them to the worst/best of my ability. Thus, you'll be seeing this my otp, as well as other transformers content, painted in black with the fluids dripping of those thorned stems.
I love vampires, and my mind told me vampire Megatron was as alluring as vampire Airachnid. Furthermore, there's my fascination with Megasound/Megawave. In vampire lore, there's nothing as intimate and sensual as drinking blood, and then it's the perfect pathway to sexless/asexual creatures to get into a sort of not organic erotism (as well as other erotic/fetishist practices but I'll explore that dungeon later on), as I do not embrace the popular fan concepts of humanization (as in organic/primal-instincts derived attributes) in interaction between Cybertronians in love-like relationships.
In this Cybervampire Au, Megatron got infected during the events of "Thirst", but not killed. Then he's some sort of living terrorcon, a vampiricon if you wish (I can imagine Miko naming him like that), just like Airachnid, but, given his tolerance to dark Energon and his synthesis with it, he's now even mightier, and not infectious unless he kills. I explain this as Megatron's systems/biomechanism being somehow different, hence why dark energon works in him conversely to other bots. Given that the coalesced energon that Knockout made contains dark energon, getting infected by its resulting chemical disease/mutation also works out differently in him.
On another regard, the plot of gothic horror where vampire masters control zombies finds its parallel, since Megatron was already able to do that.
As for the Megasound element, I've already suggested the innerent deepness that can be attributed to the act of blood/energon drinking. Specially when its given willingly. The symbolism, the possibilities of sensorial play.
When circumstances lead to this, Soundwave is, of course, honoured to be source of food to his Master, and he submittes himself to an extreme regime of fueling: Only the most refined and purest energon enters his body, so he'll be in optimal condition, therefore high quality and scrumptious food to his Lord. Perhaps he eventually becomes too invested in it, while consciously ignoring the veiled zealousness. No one should take the responsibility but him. No one is more qualified, or as committed to Lord Megatron as himself, therefore is only befitting that his life is laid to him in more than a sense. Everyone else is dubious, capable or prone to betrayal, or inefficient idiots, and like the hell he's letting anyone else have that sort of intimacy with Megatron.
Every time Megatron gets overtaken by hunger and tries to take a prey he would be like: "no, my Lord, that scum is suboptimal and inadequate. Here's my neck"
I intend to create and write several works into this Au, with a collection of short stories in Ao3.

Eh. The ships that are canon to Flipflopped are the ships that were canon in Undertale, except for a possible relationship think going on with Sour Puss (Burgerpants) and Nice-Z (Nie Cream Guy) but Pbbbbt!! I dunno. Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows? I don't. Maybe it will be explained in due time. ;)
