Our Podcast will be at CreatorCon '22!

Ahhh, this is huge! Jace, the team, and I will be hosting a booth at CreatorCon this year where we'll be hanging out with you, chatting about the latest on our fave ttrpgs, and directly engaging with the local listeners that've really outdone themselves in helping us get here! Our Studio Manager Rinn will be manning the helm for our workshops on sound recording, mixing, and editing, and we'll be running a limited release of first-ever merch just for the con!

I cannot physically express how excited we are to be doing our first con as a group and with all of you! And we're literally buzzing with anticipation for Day 2's Night Owl session, which will feature Jace, myself, Carrie Westwood (from the Run Amok podcast), and the entire crew from Eagle Meets Pine Studios in a completely improv one-shot Monster of the Week live sesh!

This is literally the coolest!

Just a reminder that CreatorCon '22 is being held at the expo center in Hydroelectric all week from Monday through Sunday, 9 AM to 8 PM general admission, and special sessions and live events from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM for After Hours ticket holders and creators w/ booked spaces and events. Our team will be running a booth from Tuesday to Thursday, but we'll be around the whole week!

General admission is $25/person. Children under 6 are free and senior discounts are offered for all customers 55+ attending both the general expo and After Hours sessions.

If you like to support us and any of the other local artists, creators, and businesses, this is one of the largest annual shows in the county, so definitely get out and give it a shot - 5% of all proceeds made at the expo will be donated to supporting the Maker Space Initiative for local creators and businesses, with an additional 2% being dedicated to the Young Ducklings Creator Collective, helping Duck County's youth to experience and engage in the arts!

"You ready to head out, we can take another minute or hang in the garden if you need it," Knightley offered. He was dressed for the Ren faire once more, though the bandana hung off his neck rather than cover his face. He figured letting Finch see his face would help with some of the anxiety he usually had. He set aside one day to help ease Finch into attending, get him use to the environment and hopefully he'd be able to go with others later on. "The main street is where most everything is, with stalls and booths. There's a few sections near the park that have less people if you want to start there instead."

Redhead Revival 2!:

Blake yells out in surprise,” What do you mean long story?!? Adam you’re supposed to be dead in a river!”

Yang backs that up with a retort,” Yeah! We didn’t kill you just to be alive again!”

“Again, I iterate it is a long story. Just trust me, or the very least Summer and Pyrrha,” Adam had replied.

Yang replied,” We will trust you and Thief there once we want to, I will trust my mom and my friend though.”

Ruby, Weiss, and Blake also stand in agreement with this statement by saying,” Yeah!”

With team RWBY ready to listen to Summer and Pyrrha’s story, Jaune is crying. Now of sadness though, but of joy and relief! Jaune is just hugging Pyrrha tightly saying to himself," Please don't be dream."

As he is saying this Pyrrha is uncomfortable, and say to him," Who are you?"

RWBYJ is in shock over the fact Pyrrha had forgotten her first love. Jaune lets go of her and replies,” What do you mean who am I? I was your leader, friend, crush…”

Pyrrha tells him,” I’m sorry? I don’t know you sir.”

Jaune in shock; looks over to Ren waiting for a response.

“She only really remembers the last person she saw. Same with Adam, Roman, and Summer. Adam remembers Yang and Blake. Roman remembers Neo and Ruby. Summer remembers Salem. We have been trying to make them remember there memories, but it’s been hard without key information,” Ren explained with a bit of sadness. After Ren had said that, silence would sink in the room.

“So… she only remembers Cinder the most,” Jaune said, breaking the silence in the room.

Ren furthering in explaining what happened,” Essentially yes but… since she did not know much about Cinder it ended with her having not much of a memory.”

Ruby curious asked,” So does my own mom not know anything about me?”

Oscar speaks up after being silent for a while,” Essentially yes, but if you can recover their memories by talking and interacting with them. Pyrrha remembers slight bits of Nora and Ren for example.”

Roman speaks up for this first time,” So Red, where’s my partner in crime?”

Ruby finches a bit, but composes herself to tell him. “Roman… she’s still there. She is reforming… she chased me down because she thought you died because of me. And now she is going to reform.”

“So she’s just stuck there? That seems like her.” Roman understood what Red had told him.

Ruby speaks to him,” She’ll come back once she is ready.”

Roman nods acknowledging this,” Well Red, at least she is safe.”

Ruby responded,” Yeah.” Ruby then continued towards her mother. “Do you know me or Yang, mom?”

Sunmer answer with confusion,” I have children?”

Yang and Ruby gasp at this. Yang starts to breakdown, not just because of the revelation that Summer forgot her, but at the fact one of the major influences of her life forgot her. Ruby on the other hand is distraught. Her mom, the person she idolized forgot her. Ruby broke for a second time. She fell to her knees and was crying, so was Yang.

Jaune having the courage to ask the big question, asked,” How hard is it to recover their memories?”

Ren told them with a simple answer,” It is hard, but not impossible.”

In my interpretation there's more dimensions than just The End and Nether. There's also the Twilight Forest and The Aether because those two mods register as Vanilla+ in my mind. (Also stuff like Glares, Mooblooms, Copper Constructs, etc. are here too because I'm a salty jackass and this is MY silly thing ♡)

People in this are more or less furry-esque due to exposure to magic. Scar lived in a more magical environment than Martyn, so he's more cat-like instead of more humanoid.

"Undeads" are just their own thing and not actually dead! They have light sensitivity to the point of burning/melting due to the sun leeching their magical energy. Skeletons are very thin naturally and have a high metabolism and very good eyesight. Their eyes are sunken and black but their pupils reflect lots of light like a cat's would. Zombies are slower and have a symbiotic relationship with a bacteria that helps them survive on less food but makes them smell kinda gross. Wither skeletons are similar to normal skeletons but are much faster, taller, and more muscular. Though, their bones are much more brittle.

Planets/Dimensions Radiate magic from within themselves, and Stars burn away their own magic and neutralize it with their light. (Hence why undeads burn in sunlight) The farther you go underground the more magical the lifeforms are. The Nether and Twilight Forest are both underground dimensions due to their planets being closer to their stars. The End is a gas giant with magic infused islands of rock that float naturally, though it is close to its star it's atmosphere is so dense that it isn't effected very much. Btw the Nether is Venus. I know this in my heart ♡ (the other three are just random high-magic planets that linked to The Overworld) The Aether is also a gas giant but is more linked to The Overworld's magic, thus when you fall into the core you wind up in The Overworld's atmosphere. Bedrock is infused with so much magic that it isn't breakable by mortal lifeforms.

Humans do exist! Btw! I know I only have two but listen... I'm a furry. Humans generally are more effected by magic than anything else, hence why there are so many human-like people in my interpretation.

I've been rotating Tojo and Sano in my brain a lot after watching the Imperer arc...

and I've been thinking about how both of them are really interesting to me as Foils/Reflections of Ren and Shinji.

you have a guy who's fighting for his idea of "heroism" and a guy who is fighting for one of the oldest reasons in the book (sick loved one, needed money). You have them working together, and living together at one point.

and. Sano asks Tojo, "We're friends, right?'

and I've been thinking a lot about what that means to SanoTojo (Sano seeing him as Caged Finch..2!, and as someone he can use, everything else secondary. and Tojo starting to care about him, which means he has to kill him, Obviously). and how despite how completely fucked both sides of that are, the answer can be "yes"

whereas if Shinji were to ask Ren that at this point in the story, he'd brush it off and refuse to engage, despite acting as a true friend to Shinji repeatedly, and Shinji viewing him as a true friend despite everything. he knows better than to ask that.

and because they're both introduced so late, developed so fast, and are this warped and fucked up mirror to them, their dynamic is even more extreme

guy who's fucked up in such a mundane way (nepo baby, parents cut him off, is operating at Maximum Hustle but kinda sucks at it), and guy who's fucked up in a way so far divorced from reality he's more of a Concept than a guy (guy who got an F- in trolley problem and is mid-killing spree about it)

Humongous Updates & Absolute Awesomeness! (Super Long Post!)

It has been a hot minute since my last post - there's been a metric ton of stuff going on in my personal and professional life, and there's just been this nonstop barrage of things happening all at once (all good, I swear), so I'm just clocking out of all of that this evening and spending a bit of time checking in with my friends and neighbors here!

Whew, okay, where to begin? Uh, well last we popped into the town forum, Jace and I were prepping for some big stuff over in Hydroelectric City; CreatorCon '22, a live show with a group of fellow podcasters, merch and signings, and all sorts of awesome stuff that we were super excited to hop into. CC22 went off without a hitch - we saw some incredible performances during the nightly sessions, got to meet and greet some of our growing community members, say hello to friends from collabs in the past (and a few upcoming in the future), and even ran into a couple of local friends as well!

We absolutely sold out of our merch - all of it! We planned a limited release specific to CC22 and a lot of newcomers really got into the artwork and embroidery our friends Jeanine and Veronica did for the release. We were able to save some prior to the even for our friends and family here at home, so all of you should have received those by now!

We did take a quick breather from all the eventing to pop in for Sawyer's birthday celebrations and had an absolute blast hanging out with the big guy and the fam! Thanks for having us!

Towards the end of the week we met up for dinner with Carrie Westwood from Run Amok and the Eagle Meets Pine crew again, and were actually offered a network deal with their expansive creator empire, which we were super stoked to accept!

We're running a brief seven episode bi-weekly show starting next week as a test bed for our new ideas with the network, so you can imagine how crazy things have been getting everything in order for then.

As far as personal matters go, Jace and I have so many things in each of our lives respectively, so I don't think I can even to justice to everything by trying to compress it here, but to make several extremely long stories (slightly) shorter, Jace has slowly been working towards a cert in UI/UX Design with Google for the past several months, and is now officially through the program! He is (not so secretly) an extremely bookish person and absolutely loves engaging in new fields of study for the pure fun of it. I'm not sure how in heck he can do it, but he sure can, and this is maybe the third or fourth cert he's gotten in fields totally unrelated to his work or mine in the past few years. He's also been helping out with his parents as they move out of their childhood home into a brand new condo just outside of the downtown area! Both he and his siblings are all around LDP, so shuffling around some of the old furniture and miscellaneous bits and bobs has been pretty easy, it's just been a bit tough coordinating all of their schedules.

In some more huge news, Jace and I are celebrating 6 years together! The reason why we've made this more of a milestone than years 1 and 5 is because this year the date falls on a Friday, exactly like the one I first asked him out on! We were both inseparable best friends for a while (still are!) but I was the one that finally took the plunge on that Friday back in 2016, and the rest in history! It's still a little tough for us to figure out how to plan for the future, but the six years I've spent with my boyfriend have been some of the absolute best of my life and I love him so much! We're going right back to the beginning and doing dinner at Sail's and skating at the rink off the highway, before spending the weekend up North.

I do have a bit of a surprise planned for him, but I think he peruses the forum once in a while, so I won't drop any spoilers quite yet.

Otherwise, things have been going really well at home and in the studio, so I'm just trying to ride this wave and keep on the up and up.

Oh! I almost forgot! Toffee (our adorable lil' Norwegian catto) has been taking well to leash training and has actually been pretty receptive to traversing the quieter trails with Jace and I, and even Cloud (our Samoyed) in tow! How cool is that? Toffee is not the most outdoorsy, but she's a regular natural when it comes to trail hikes, so we're pretty hopeful we can make this a semi-regular fixture in her life!

I think one reason I’m so fond of my own version of Vincent is that, in the game, he is one of the only people who not only chooses to be good in multiple endings, but even apologizes. Ren never apologized, and Ren never got better. Lawrence still hurt, disfigured, and traumatized MC even in good endings. Cain... do I even need to elaborate? Vincent is the only one who has a chance in multiple endings to be good, and chooses that himself.

In my reclaimed version of him, he’s just in a tough situation. He’s a werewolf, he HAS to kill, to eat, he can’t help that nor save himself from his urges. He has instincts that manifest as anger and violence, and he tries really hard to just take those out on Finch (renamed but you can guess who that is). He tries to only take it out through BDSM, street fights, and sex. But he’s an animal. He needs more. He can’t help the anger and need to eat any more than any other animal can.

He regrets it though, oh god does he regret it. Finch has to hold him through body-wracking panic attacks after his transformation in the bunker, alone, is over. MC coming into his life was supposed to be an outlet. Something he didn’t have to care about that he could destroy. But Vincent is genuinely good, deep in himself. He cares for people, loves people, gets attached too easily. Everything he tries to take it out on ends up left in that church graveyard to be taken to a hospital instead.

MC was special to him though. They were soft and gentle, they even pet his ears, even in the face of an incoming violent animal-minded version of him. Sorry was enough. And Finch loved them too, just as much. He finally found something... good. He’d call what they have good. Yeah. Maybe he can be good.

Cain would mock him, and Vincent knows that, somewhere in his lost, foggy memories. He knows his trainer, his groomer, his... father, would call him a failure, all he ever was was a weapon and he cannot even manage to do that. But he tells that screaming, winged ghost that there are better things than fighting, and hugs Finch and MC instead.

Rough around the edges; traumatized, hurting, hypersexual, violent Vincent. But he is good, too. He is good.
