Happy International Women’s Day!

In 1988, Japanese magazine Idea published a special issue “Women Designers of America.” 43 women are featured including Vignelli Associates’ own Lella Vignelli and Rebecca Rose.

This 1985 Annual Report for Girls Clubs of America, designed by Rebecca Rose, warning girls not to dream about finding a wealthy husband to take care of them.

Text: “When I grow up a rich man will fall in love with me and marry me and take care of me.” At Girls Clubs, girls learn that fantasies don’t come true except in fairy tales.

Scroll through to see more of this Idea Special Issue including the table of contents which lists all 43 designers featured in the issue.

“The intent is to collect and present phenomena involving how and what activities women designers are engaged in the upheaval of the American society of today. Therefore, designers presented here had to be artists having the caliber in one sense or another approved by the severe eyes of the present American society.”

Can't believe it's already a year...

I don't think I would be the person I am today if it wasn't for this show.

I'm serious, I understood I was nonbinary thanks to The Owl House. Raine Whispers, and their VA Avi Roque, were the reason I understood who I really was.

This show helped in a moment where I was really touching the bottom, and it helped me push me toward the surface.

So thank you, The Owl House. May us weirdos stay forever together.

I just want to say that I have my money on Darius and Alador being confirmed to be exes next episode.

You know sommat, I wanted to say I bet Alador and Odalia break up today after seeing the poster Rebecca Rose shared for today’s episode but I wasn’t sure how strong a theory it was.

I also let myself be convinced Lumity wouldn’t become canon during “Knock, Knock, Knockin’ on Hooty’s Door” by someone even though I knew “Eclipse Lake” wouldn’t make sense without it being canon.

So yeah, I’m trusting my gut that we’ll get a confirmation that Alador and Darius are exes next episode.

Rebecca’s promo art for the S2 finale is here! What I noticed is that King, Luz and Eda are all crying. King’s skull is fractured; Could it be possible that Luz’s tear is for Collector!Amity? And for Eda, she’s holding her wrist where the Bard Coven sigil is supposed to be, and does it relate to Raine somehow?

Gosh I’m super worried for this episode...
