Crooked Cop

It is of little surprise to many that police officers are uniquely vulnerable to dark taint. They often blindly walk into tainted places with the intention of committing sin upon the innocent and malicious alike, with their government's approval of course. To say nothing of the cops who regularly commit full-fledged felonies and leverage their authority or that of their superiors to sweep their transgressions under the rug. But while mundane cops can be exceptionally awful people, a darkened cop is a different breed all together. Indeed, nearly every police force in the world has at least one clique of Crooked Cops who are banded together by a mission to indulge their most despicable desires with the iron fist of the law on their side. Crooked Cops are instinctually driven to abuse their authority in ways that will undermine the ability of untainted officers to make legitimate arrests against other darkened and to interfere in investigations that would expose Darkspawn and cult activity. Of course, like any organized effort by agents of the Outer Darkness, ultimately any group of Crooked Cops will fall apart over time if a Mnemosyne or Cataphract does not eventually take charge.

It looks really cool but I just scrolled through the whole tag is about a minute despite it being an incredibly Tumblr idea.

I'm currently thinking up a concept for a Champion of Diamonds.

Rereading the Princess: The Hopeful sourcebook, and it’s kind of funny to me that people stereotype the Mirrors in-universe as “the good ones“ among the Twilight courts, considering that the Lacrima/Tempesta spell list is full of relatively workable stuff like “set an alarm for Darkspawn“, “automatically know if someone’s hurt“, “attract Darkspawn“, “automatically shield others from damage“, y’know, stuff that suggests viable ways to build a Tears or Storms character that isn’t antagonistic and works as an uneasy ally...

...and then the Speccio charms are all shit like “enter someone’s dreams without consent“, “make your car look so cool it makes people feel crushed“, “racism”, oh yeah, and “physically PEEL THE BEAUTY FROM SOMEONE’S FACE to BOOST YOUR OWN MAGIC!“

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of Alharamba’s depressive cynicism, or Storms’ mindless vengance, but neither of them are as scary to me as the True Heir’s all-consuming egocentrism.

overlooking all the other reasons why the show went downhill: katara’s feminine rage missing, aang getting guilt punched every episode, bumi being ooc, almost zero gaang bonding episodes, three episodes compiled into one (done twice), azula being introduced too early + given too much screen time, the cave of two lovers being in s1 when it was a s2 episode— all of that is valid but the show can really be pointed out in two ways where they went downhill:

aang never waterbended once during a season where it is literally called book one: water.

one of the funniest things ml canon did was completely ignore the trope of "adrien loves seeing marinette dressed like chat noir, it drives him crazy" and instead go "actually, seeing chat noir in red and spots makes marinette go absolutely feral. it is actually a miracle that lady noire does not tear mister bug apart with her teeth and devour him at any given moment"
