I am once again filled with sadness and I might implode in this cold office cubicle if I don't let it out immediately.

Solomon x MC and this quote. That's it.

Solomon who will go to unnecessary and ridiculous lengths to have you close to him, to show his affection, to have just a minute of your time even though it's probably wasted on him and you have better people to be with.

In a world which has labelled him as a demon, you are the sole reminder of his humanity. A reminder that he's not alone.

You are his favourite apprentice because you remind him of everything that is good about humans and why he spent his whole life protecting them. You make his purpose worth it.

And MC who acts as the best friend he never had, who tends to his inner child so desperately in need of healing, who holds him on his worst nights to show him he's no longer alone.

MC who was the catalyst that showed him that the demons he regarded as contracts could be potential friends too. MC who looks after him and willingly agrees to help him protect the world.

Imagine that Solomon doesn't like to show his body. In all his outfits (except “arabian clothes”) he is always covered practically up to his neck.

So from that thought, I have the headcanon that Solomon's body is full of marks (I think it's something practically consensual in the fandom xd), not only from pacts with demons, but scars of wounds, marks of magical healing, remains of curses, patterns of ancient rituals done on his own body, traces of his not-aging, and other remains of experiments on his own flesh, because we already know that Solomon had a turbulent life after and before meeting Barbatos. And those marks were another stigma for the other humans, so he started to hide them. He used to cover them up with magic, but there came a time when that was a waste of energy and he stopped doing that.

So imagine now, during Mc and Solomon's living together on the same roof during nightbringer. The sorcerer is comfortable, and he is in the residence where he stayed so many times in the past, so when he leaves his bedroom he forgets to change, coming out in a tank top and shorts, he finds Mc drinking coffee and looking at him with eyes like saucers. When the magician notices, he gets nervous, many people have rejected him because of those marks. But Mc had nothing else to say but:

Mc: *looking him up and down* Nice~

Solomon: *nervous* I can ex- What?

Mc: Your body, your skin, is nice *caressing one of his tattoos* so much history.

Solomon: *blushing* Oh…

Mc: *smiling mischievously* The rest isn't bad either…

Solomon: *redder than a tomato* Mc!!!

Now the sorcerer thinks about changing his closet every time he passes a store.

All of Obey Me! As ice-cream flavors!

Lucifer is of course coffee ice cream, he literally NEEDS caffeine to function, he’s bitter at first, but becomes sweeter the more you’re around him

Mammon is mango, he’s so sweet like mangoes and also yummy like them (I may be biased)

Levi is chocolate chip, pretty basic but a very safe choice, he’s liked it forever and we all know how much he hates getting out of his comfort zone

Satan is a caramel ice cream fan, and he may or may not think it makes him superior to other people who like more basic options, because he chooses a flavor you don’t think about everyday (as if his own isn’t also kinda basic)

Asmo is vanilla! Which is such a contradiction to his personality, but it’s sweet and elegant, always a popular choice too!

Beel likes ALL ice cream but if he had to choose only one, it would be birthday cake flavor! It’s so yummy and has such appetizing colors!

Belphie’s favorite flavor is cookie dough, but he always chooses mint chocolate chip instead because it was Lilith’s favorite.

Diavolo like rocky road! It’s the castle favorite actually! But he enjoys pudding more personally.

Barbatos likes butter pecan, occasionally he will eat rocky road with Dia but he tends to stick to what he’s particular to.

Simeon is old, he doesn’t know slang, he can’t use the internet, and he likes pistachio ice cream, end of story.

Luke likes strawberry! It’s a sweet and soft treat and fits him perfectly.

Solomon only eats coconut. Because he’s weird. Yeah.

Thirteen likes cotton candy better than any other flavor (her pronouns are diabetes and her diet is cavities)

Raphael likes the ice cream that Solomon makes homemade (coconut but worse)

Miphisto likes chocolate and chocolate only.

Solomon: Our OG S1 Savior

Disclaimer!

This post is my interpretation of Solomon’s scenes in ObeyMe OG S1. It is not concrete and I have a large pro-Solomon bia. I would recommend replaying S1 of OM to come to your own conclusions!

First Introductions

When we first meet Solomon it’s the moment two demons openly plan to eat us. This is when he introduces himself, in classic Solomon fashion he’s hard to write down. If you ask for help he questions why you’d need his help if you have Mammon, he then goes to questions why Mammon was assigned in the first place. He assumes Lucifer is messing with MC (although he’s plain wrong here it’s a reasonable assumption) and says if MC was in any actual danger then he’d step in.

Which funnily enough, is exactly what he does in this scene. Because after we’re done talking the demons that wanted to eat us are gone.

Easily the best Solomon moment in S1!

Lucifer threatens us, demanding we tell him what we’re planning. No matter what we say he doesn’t respond kindly. Before the conversation can continue to escalate Solomon once again steps in to protect us from a demon.

Helping Us Forge Pacts

These are the scenes that are mostly up to interpretation. If your interpretation of these scenes is different than mine—that’s ok!

Levi

Solomon visits Levi in his room for whatever reason, he then says Levi’s secret phrase so happeningly in front of MC and Mammon.

You also have the option of choosing Simeon or Solomon’s help for the quiz. If you choose Solomon he lends you an extremely rare TSL item that even Levi assumedly doesn’t own.

He does this without asking anything in return.

Asmo

Solomon let’s MC borrow his powers out of sheer curiosity. Thanks to this MC is able to summon Asmo and lend him incredible power. Asmo then becomes very intrigued and wants to forge a pact with MC.

Interesting thing to note here, Solomon brings the conversation to Asmo. Who then says he wants to forge a pact with MC.

Belphie

Solomon runs into MC and Belphie out on a shopping trip trying to find Diavolo a birthday gift. Solomon comments on how close they have gotten suddenly and then he asks if Belphie is planning to forge a pact with MC. Belphie doesn’t answer the question initially, thinking it through. Solomon then asks if he’d like to forge a pact with him, which he immediately rejects. Solomon expected to be rejected yet he still asked, why?

Solomon then asks Belphie about how he was glancing at MC to gauge their reaction the entire interaction, and asks him why.

Solomon has just broadcasted to MC that Belphie is very interested in forging a pact with them.

Conclusion

While it’s more obvious Solomon in Nightbringer is looking out for MC, it seems he’s always been looking out for MC even from the very time they met.

Solomon's Jealousy

Currently farming the Chasseur event, and Solomon's words in the secret ending caught my eye...

Compared to other characters' jealousy, I would say that Solomon is more... chill about it. In this scene at least, you could argue his actions are being done more out of a desire to keep MC safe, especially since the vampire smell could remind him of the danger the brothers put MC through. I feel that he's only slightly aware of how jealous he sounds here, since he questions MC calling him jealous, but admits the vampire smell is more of a problem to him than one at large.

Also, note that he says "the" brothers here.

Solomon's jealousy stems not only from his insecurity, fearing that MC will choose the brothers over him, but also from a point of pride. He prides himself on being MC's teacher, fellow human, and now (only) protector while stuck in the past. He wants to be their most trusted supporter, and makes those feelings clear to MC. He also isn't above pushing others away, with how he says "those brothers", to make them feel more distant. A bit of a red flag, but it just goes to show how Solomon places his darling apprentice above everything.

Asmo: Not to be the bossy brother, but Lucifer, you aren't allowed to back out.

Lucifer: Wasn't planning on it. I know where I stand in MC's mind.

Satan: You know, I think I might chill with Mammon and Levi. I thought about joining in the fun, but I don't think I have it in me to see things through.

Satan: And before anyone chimes in, no, it's not because Lucifer confirmed his participation.

Belphie: We know. If it was, you'd be trying to one-up him.

Satan: Thank you, Belphie. I TOTALLY wanted that out there. *eye roll emoji*

Beel: I'm in.

Belphie: Quick question: would it be fair of me to participate?

Asmo: Actually, you'd be PERFECT for this. You can argue that you know MC more intimately than ANY of us. You'd know what buttons to push to make them really sweat.

Belphie: Okay, cool. I'll do it, then.

Simeon: Me too.

Levi: lol what

Mammon: ayo, do you even KNOW how to seduce someone, simeon?

Simeon: How do you think I'm able to write some of the scenes in TSL?

Levi: well okay then

Summary: The most powerful human, overthinker as every woman is, falling in love with the most powerful demon. No spoilers.

I remember I do, the first time I appeared here falling from the sky my eyes locked onto his with unwavering intensity. He exuded overwhelming elegance, his presence so immaculate, so radiant, so majestic. While I had yet to be informed of his royal status, it was a truth I instinctively grasped without needing confirmation.

"Skin of sand, eyes of honey, hair of fire" is all that filled my thoughts as his eyes captivated my sight whole.

"Eyes of honey" It's cold. "Eyes of honey" I'm adrift. "Eyes of honey" What strange realm is this?

The room unfamiliar, the faces foreign, the attire surreal. "Eyes of honey... eyes of honey".

Limbs frozen, fists clenched "Eyes of honey... eyes of honey" where am I?

Diavolo: "Welcome to the Devildom MC. .. Oh, pardon me. Feeling a bit shocked are we?"

"Oh... it speaks..."

Diavolo: "My name is Diavolo. I am the ruler of all demons, and all here know of me."

"Eyes of honey... the tolling of bells."

Diavolo: "And someday soon I will be crowned king of the Devildom."

I read the other day in the RAD Newspaper that the hue of the next king's eyes, Diavolo's, is a unique emblem of his lineage, exceedingly rare even among their kin and the colours found in nature. Liars. Ever since I came here 3 years ago, It is all I see everywhere, all the time, on everything. I could swear my pupils have been coated with eyes of honey, for whenever I close my eyes, his gaze manifests without fail.

I am not naïve; I know what this is. He is undeniably handsome, a prince on the brink of becoming king. He possesses the charm, the intelligence, the chivalry, the wealth, the smile... and the eyes of a man with whom to fall in love. And I am a human raised on fairy tails. The equation might be complex but its result is unmistakable.

However, I am me. And me doesn't like embarrassment, rejection or a three realms worth of attention and gossip. It is the natural course of events to feel deep affection for Eyes of honey. But it is also the right course of events to relegate it to the realm of pre-sleeping fantasies, even if my mind refuses to adhere to this reasonable schedule.

I mean, I do feel the desire to seduce when I am around Lucifer or Mammon or Simeon or Solomon and others. Hell, I even flirted and went on dates. For the same reasons perhaps. Beauty, intelligence, talents, tact... or is it? I don't deny I was unwillingly comparing them to Diavolo all the time, I admit I imagined every flirt and every courtesy as if between me and Diavolo. But it still counts... doesn't it?

I blame this on Diavolo to be frank. Had he not summon me here to witness extraordinary power and charm, I wouldn't have invited him into my fantasies. Had he not call upon me on every events to be its centre. But then again, I AM the exchange student after all. Or perhaps hadn't he showered me with gifts, shown such care, and asked so kindly... He IS the ruler and I AM under his guardianship, aren't I? Had he not protected me so dearly? Again, he IS the most powerful. I don't know, I have no base but I blame him I do. I blame him for it all. And above all, his gravest sin remains... He looked at me with his eyes of honey.

The other night, at the ball, when we danced I could swear it was only the two of us dancing.

In the council room, when his hand brushed against mine, I could feel the heat from his flushed cheeks radiating across the air.

His late-night text and calls asking silly things amongst which is thrown the smallest sentences about how he wishes for me to be with him or for him to be with me. A future king cannot possibly be asking a human about muffins at 3am the eve of a world changing event, right?

The angry rumbling in his chest every time the demons and angels get too cosy with me?

Every time we found ourselves alone his voice carried the weight of a suffocated man in desperation of someone to set his lungs free. The urgency in his voice and the half calls for affection were real. I want them to be real.

Silly silly human. It's rather amusing, isn't it? For every time I tried to initiate even the most innocent flirtations or slightly intimate exchanges, he would deflect or evade. It's almost comical. And if not him, Barbatos or Lucifer would intervene... those sly serpents. Perhaps Barbatos sensed the impending embarrassment through his powers and chose to spare me the humiliation? AAAAHHHHH... This is so mortifying.

Whyyyyy? Why are you doing this to me Diavolo? Does it amuse you to toy with me this way? Spare me the pain and caste me away. For I cannot oblige myself to restrain from you. Be the bigger person, the adult in the room, the king in the kingdom and set me free.

Tears streamed down her face as she pondered all of this.

Lying on her bed in the dark at the house of lamentation, she was holding her phone above her face.

On the screen, a text conversation was visible, with the name of the correspondent adorned with a yellow heart: "Eyes of honey💛"

The text read:

Eyes of honey💛: "Your fireworks display tonight was truly spectacular. I had no idea your magical prowess had grown so strong."

MC: "Haha... Thank you. The sky was indeed breathtaking."

Eyes of honey💛: "I am sure it was, but the true beauty was seeing it reflected in your eyes."

In the chat box, she had typed "I love you" for the first time, acknowledging it as love rather than mere affection. It was the first time she had ever written those words, the first time, despite the consequences of it all, she had seriously considered putting an end to both their agony.

To be sent? To be deleted? Who knows?
