Oh no Kai died!

So. I saw a post here on tumblr (I didn't save it :c) saying "what if kai died trying to provide for nya and she took his place in the series" and smth took over me and I drew this

More info below

So I took the premise of him dying and Nya taking his place but that's it, bc the og post said Nya would inherit his elemental power, but since Morro kept his being dead I'd imagine Kai could too.

So this changes a lot of stuff, in this au Kai "discovers" his elemtal powers early on, but they just manifest as being inmune to burns and fire which helps since this kid works at a forge.

One day he goes deep in the town to buy food, but there is an accident and a house is set on fire, he was just about to go home and ignore all the chaos when he hear someone still inside, against his better judgement he went in and helped knowing his resistance to fire. He saves the person trapped inside.. but instead of a 'thanks' the whole townspeople just go 'A witch!' since he didn't suffer any burns.. And you can imagine what happens next

Either way Kai does not arrive home, when Nya goes to town to ask where he is she is told he ran away by lady and that she should leave aswell (Quick tangent. The lady told Nya that to avoid explaining that they basically unalived her brother and so Nya doesn't get the same fate)

She moves away and years down the line she meets a nice old man saying he is looking for something special.

Okay so here goes the timeline from Nya's side all up until season 5:

• Pilot:

She works in a small shop doing repairs and is very agrressive towards Wu since instead of asking where are her parents he asked if she had any siblings, so yeah open wound. Anyway there is no kidnapping motivator here, the skeletons steal the map and destroy the only home she had, she goes with Wu in order to get revenge. He sees she is lost and in need of family so he trains her, everything goes about the same, Jay's line changes to inmediatly be "Do you like blue?", and she proceeds to ignore him since letting people in her life hasn't been an option in a long time (also here Wu assumed she must have the fire element). They get the weapons and Garmadon still tricks Nya with Kai's voice, when she arrives she is so mad she attempts to lift the sword to attack Garmadon, but she can't, seeing she has no use to him he sends some skeletons to attack, but apparently out of nowhere the sword lifts itself up and lands in Nya's hands (she was fighting the skeletons at that). From there Wu arrives, leaves, Garmadon is free all that stuff.

Nya wants to leave since she feels she failed since she is not the master of fire, but everyone just doesn't care and want her to still be part of the family. And so we go on to rise of the serpentine

• Rise of the Snakes:

Okay so here everything goes about the same, Samurai X is still Nya but it isn't a secret (she does this bc still feels like she can't be a ninja). Jay's true potencial happens bc he is like "I can't show you who I am becaussse you're ssso cool! I mean you are Sssamurai X and a Ninja!" which to she responds that she likes him as he is and even if she didn't he shouldn't change for others.

And the fangblades stuff is bc if Nya can't be tha master of fire, and samurai x isn't a ninja (she wants to but feels useless without an element) she might as well be the green one right?

She still saves Loyd over the fangblade, creating a dome of water from seemingly nowhere, unlocking her true potential as the master of water. And everything carries on the same

• Legacy of the Green Ninja & Rebooted:

Everything is pretty much the same.

Nya loses another brother

• Tournament of Elements:

All the ninja are split up like in the series with Nya doing vigilante stuff instead of fighting in an illegal fight club. Loyd attemps to reunite his family and everything goes about the same.

Skylor and Nya definetly flirted much to Jay's dissmay

Nya "betrays" Loyd just like Kai did with Nya in the series except Garmadon is left alone with the snake pet and Loyd is taken to the ritual. When Nya lifts the staff she does go a little power crazy, not for wanting to be the green ninja but bc she wants this power to protect her family.

Anyways season ends. RIP Garmadon

• Possesion:

All goes the same for the first 5 minutes. Then after fighting a possesed Loyd a ghost with fire in his hands arrives to the Bounty, asking- no, begging, for the Ninja to help him

Nya recognizes him and the world stops

Marauders Fandom > "There is no canon !!" and other rhetorics

Guess who's back in their marauders phase after 2-3 years of being dormant lmao?? ((spoiler its me lol)). Anyways, a lot has changed since 2021 in this fandom so I just wanted to talk about the direction i think it's going.

I remember in 2020-21 the fandom started to boom in popularity on tiktok --> esp with the rise wolfstar + atyd. I remember people were so suprised with remus' characterization as 'rougher around the edges' instead of the 'soft boi' thing, and how that influenced the new wolfstar dynamic. [Just want to add that the atyd characterisation is much more complex than this and its one of my fave fics --> I'm more talking about the fandom at large's reaction to this)

And since fandom is incapable of having two nuanced and characters who are not stark opposites,, their roles were basically reversed and now Remus is the toxic dom alpha male and sirius is the cute girlyboy twink --- which um,,, the oc-ification is so real its embarrassing but whatever (omg don't even get me started on jegulus 💀)). I just assumed these would stay as headcanons. But now we have people saying, that 'we barely know anything abt the marauders in canon' or 'isn't the whole point of fandom to make shit up?' which i have sO many issues with so let me just try and compile my thoughts into dot points for the sake of coherency.

'we barely know anything abt the marauders in canon' ---> First of all, Remus, Sirius and Severus are fully fleshed out characters in the og series -- why do you think people would care enough to create an entire fandom based on their backstories if they were 2d flat characters in canon?? Like bffr. I saw a post on here (forgot who it was by, let me know if u know!) that said, 'I didn't cry over sirius' death in OotP just for ppl to say that we know nothing abt him in canon'. Like, its just mind-boggling to me lol.

'isn't the whole point of fandom to make shit up?' --> Ok y'all. For a fandom to work, there have to be some guidelines, some kind of source material, some point of reference so people can build upon it and make content. I think we can all agree on that. One reason why HP is such a popular place for fandom is the world-building and potential plots/storylines. I see some people argue that jk rowling was a shit writer anyways so might as well contradict everything she says. Now, I don't disagree with that point in particular, Jo is a pretty mediocre writer and a terrible person. HOWEVERrr, I'd argue that it is a lot more fascinating when people expand or work on the concepts in HP. JK Rowling has a lot of great ideas but executes them terribly -- I love when fic writes do this, which prolly explain why I love atyd as it is still very much canon compliant but executes themes on class, disability and queerness that jkr could barely do in subtext. This doesn''t mean I only think canon compliant fics are valid. That's not the case! I think as long as the charcterization is consistent to the character and the particular circumstances/world they're in, its fine! In fact, I love seeing how the same character would function if in a different place! I also love seeing explorations of the magic and magic systems in aus or fix it fics (or even canon compliant ones) that still fit in with the canonnical system that we know.

I guess what I'm trying to say I wish the marauders fandom explored the world and charcterizations more deeply instead of creating shallow oc-fied version of the characters that fit into whatever's trending -- like just write your own book or smth lol -- booktok will eat it up i promise.

Also, kinda related kinda not but um,,, why are we romanticising fascists -- like babe no evan rosier is not your babygirl he canonnoically tortured multiple ppl and became a death eater soo... not saying that I wouldn't want an exploration of his character or even a relationship with barty -- (who's not some cool dairk-haired edgelord but a actually a cowardly fascist murderer with blond hair -- yes the blond hair is important) -- I'd just want them to be portrayed as the not morally good people they are. Like,, if u want to oc-ify a character like pick someone whos not a death eater or has little info on them like dirk cresswell or frank longbottom,,, or ya know,, one of the MANY female characters in the fandom ((This fandom also has a problem with women and sapphic ships in general but that's a whole other issue lol).

I know this 'babygirlification' of death eaters doesn't mean to do this, but it also ends up watering down the themes of oppression, bigotry, etc and leaves us with not nearly as complex characters. Also one of the issues I had with the og HP world is that JK will introduce concepts like wizard racism and slavery and then just like,, not really do anything about it or just have half-arsed redemption arcs whilst not ever actually exploring the root of the issue. And now i feel like the fandom is following in those footsteps unfortunately.

Anyways, i've been rambling for too long so I'll just leave it here. Sorry if this came off as mean spirited in anyway,, I just have a lot of thoughts™ and my family is sick of hearing them lol. These opinions are not set in stone however so I'd love to hear your thoughts on this subject! At the end of the day this is fandom and we're supposed to have fun -- so yeah !! thanks for reading if you made it this far!

I'll be honest, I don't hate IzuOcha, I don't have a loathing for it compared to some ships I do have one for. I think it's cute, I see why people would ship it.

But it's very undeveloped in canon and I feel like it's on purpose. I wrote a post for it so long ago somewhere...

I also feel like the whole "crush" thing could be seen as something else. Wrote a post for that, too. And that's not to say Uraraka having a crush on Midoriya is a bad thing, I don't think it is. (Some people will think I'm saying it is, has happened before, person just didn't read the post and wanted to be an ass.)

And it's not like Horikoshi is incapable of making a romantic/very close it could be romantic bond between male and female characters.

KiriMina is an example! Hell, Kamijiro is another.

It's why I say romantically in canon, IzuOcha is underdeveloped and probably on purpose.

It just feel so one-sided. They're good friends, yes. The ship itself isn't bad.

But let's be for real here.

Uraraka offered her blood to Toga. You know else did that?

Midoriya did the same to Bakugou in "Heroes Rising", the OG ending for the manga. Hmmm...

Oh, but you know who else?! Two girls where there's a blonde and a brunette where blood was shared when they were kids and they had a close relationship and there was a bi "bloodsucker" between the two and they're were enemies at some point, yet the other still cared for the other one?

immortal reader who didnt start or had anything to do with the doom of valyria and is basically just Some Guy(tm) with immortality who appears to the targaryens at random times.

like maybe she pissed off some mages back in the day and they cursed her with immortality or something so she decides to leave to Westeroes decades before the doom happens. And the reason she appears at random points in time (like every few generations/hundred years) is because she's taking a centuries long nap.

like imagine reader arriving in Westeros and deciding that a grove in the woods where future-king's landing would be is the perfect place to nap. then she gets woken up by the OG conquerors and she's like: "what the fuck, what happened while i was asleep?!" Targs go yandere for her obviously and everything spirals from there. She goes for another centuries long nap when Rhaenys dies and it's just devastating for Aegon and Visenya. like they build a statue of her on Rhaenys or Aegon's Hill after that and stories pass down generations.

THEN she wakes up in the last few years of Jaehaerys I's reign and goes through one of the most traumatic years of her life during the Dance of the Dragons. After those big events everyone in Westeros viewes reader as an omen or smth. Like everytime she shows up something Big is gonna happen and no one knows if it's good or bad. No one knows where she went to sleep to after the Dance either, so there's a lot of stories and myths surrounding it.

so when she shows up at the castle demanding to know what year it is the day after Jon Arryn died tensions are rising and every major player is at the edge of their seats.

obvs this version of immortal reader is nowhere near as heartless/playful as OG immortal reader, i picture this immortal as like- the chill type. also immortal reader sleeping in the woods for a thousand years like a disney princess is story material, like the Westerosi definitely depict Aegon I and his sister-wives finding reader as a fairytale moment. every little girl has heard this story at one point in their lives and it gets more and more romanticized as the centuries go by.

So basicaly the reader is the Sleeping Beauty of Westeros fairytales.

And the thought of her just waking up when everything is going through chaos reminds of something:

Also, the idea of the OG Immortal!Reader was to make someone who simply doesn't care anymore about anything but herself, since she lived through a lot of things and doesn't see valye on others.

This reader just seems more like "Fuck this, Fuck you guys, i am tired and i am going to sleep where you can never find me Bye"

While the Targaryens spent centuries trying to find her and some going crazy because of it. (The origins of the Targaryen insanity)

Should Rise as a whole be considered a Separated au? Because originally in the third season, the turtles were going to get two extra sisters. Actually nvm probably not because we never actually got the two extra sisters!

Anon you're gonna regret asking this.

This post is going to be rambly but the short answer is yes. Whilst there isn't alot of stuff to prove the existence of the sisters, there still is evidence none-the-less.

SO, I'm going to start with my definition of a separated AU: A separated au is where at least one turtle is raised separately from the others to a point where it makes a difference in how the turtles interact with eachother.

This would be appicable to the original plan for rottmnt because one of the sisters (Sister A) was going to be raised by Draxum to be his bodyguard then ended up in a different dimension and went a bit insane. The other sister (Frida (renamed from Venus de Milo?)) is Big Mama's Assistant and shes serious. idk why i explaied this (i wanted to)

Back to evidence, Ron Corcillo and maybe someone else have confirmed that the lost turtles are the boys' sisters. Plus evidence can be found in "Goyles, Goyles, Goyles" but I couldn't find the exact screenshot I was looking for.

If I were to be honest, I was somewhat expecting someone to submit rottmnt as a competitor. The only thing I can really think of is that the sisters (in the show) can't be in an au because its canon but woulod that then consider canon as the og au.

Now a complication I think of is if the sisters aren't turtles, do you consider them as a separated au. Personally, I would consider it to be a sep au as long as they are considered siblings. It is confirmed that they are turtles but I think of the possiblity since Big Mama's Assitant doesn't look very turtle-y to me but that could be because of alot of reasons

Under the cut my thoughts on if other iterations are separated aus because i think about this alot.

Batman vs. TMNT movies doesn't seem to be a separated au, they were just on vacation to Gotham from what I can tell.

In IDW, Raph was separated from the rest of the boys for a bit and it did impact their relations some so maybe. I haven't read that arc so I'm unsure how long Raph was gone. It also begs the question, was he surviving circumstances or was he being raised in some way. I think there is a certain age for separated aus vs like kidnapped aus or smth.

For 2012, my ansgty self likes to consider it a separated au because Miwa/Karai is the child of Splinter but then was raised by the Shredder. Then she realized familial love and was like seeya to the Shredder (i havent finished the series yet).

In Next Mutation, I guess its technically a separated au because the turtles were separated from Venus when they were mutated but they also used that the turtles "aren't biologically related maybe" to use Venus as a romance plot (Venus deserved better fr).

I was going to add more but then I forgor so heres these ones.

theory time!

so reasoning as to why i cant reblog the other one is just cause it doesnt allow videos when i reblog now which sucks but whatever so yeah! its a jrwi theory again, and whatever future info i have was 99% gathered from the wiki (the remaining one percent might not even show up in this theory so ye), and of course theres spoilers for the black rose one shot AND riptide pirates (dont have any exsct eps, all i can say is im at ep 101 now so anything before that is kinda fair game)

i think in my og theory post i talked on how gill was very connected to the black sea imo so how does all this tie in? lets do some quick lil notes first

ok so the scroll of legend lore has been held onto by gillion, the one closest to destiny's ties, and has not been used until now

chaos infinity while refering to the black sea could also be an undersea thing, what with the leviathins (nobody else remember how the pearl shard gillion has came from one? and how the pearl was never supposed to even see the light of day probs let alone be in some cat mans evil base? just me?)

while i wanna say aster mythborne aeiliana shes not real here so she cant be garden giant

BUT we do have a known leviathin(? could just be a dragon turtle) named duke who has plant shit and is controlled by a gollieth

nameless prince is everso chip coded but we looking all across our board here so yeah

it could apply that the "nameless prince" could refer to someone "unnamed" who holds power like that prince from edison kingdom or smth

it could also reference marshal jon, who's canon first name has been forgotten and canon last name is jon

unborn kings? honestly while i dont think chip's bit of mpreg is apart of this i think the lady inspiring it (aka aslana's mom) has some relations to this whole thing

whats the basic idea? this is def where the oath from the sword comes into play (murdering destiny), with the whole "the black sea twists you" thing we may get hints of killion or even dark gillion again, the thign about it being a "key" might imply like a 'this means that' type deal rather then being actually a key, the chaos isnt really referring to the black sea but the state of the undersea in general (lost champion becomign criminal, ally shit gone, oversea war, etc), unnamed prince is either someone we havent met yet or someone who we dont expect to have a return (ie: were deemed before as not really lore relevant), and the unborn kings are monsters, oh and the garden giant isnt arlin but something related to the duke! THIS HAS TO CONNECT TO THE LEVIATHINS FR

I've seen the latest comments from Rachel Zegler about Snow White and I'm just tired. Her rude attitude doesn't help either.

Keep in mind I'm writing this as someone who never dreamt of a wedding nor having a husband (actually my childhood dream for the future was living together with my friends, such an Aquarius + 11th house stellium thing to do), I was also never actively looking for love and often kinda cringed at the thought of being in a relationship. I was always quite the tomboy and I grew up loving strong female characters who can kick some proper ass (Lara Croft was my ultimate hero). But I also loved stories about princesses who fall in love, because, idk, one needs a healthy balance.

Also I'm invested cause I was once the Evil Queen in a school play lol.

Listen, Snow White is ultimately about having a pure heart and rising beyond the surface level, whether it's someone's "beauty" (Snow White) or "quirks" (dwarfs), so just, like, don't be vain and be kind, that's the point. It's not even a love story, per se, as Snow White spends majority of time figuring herself out, being resilient and minding her own business. In both the og fairy tale, as well as the animated movie, Prince is just a convenient plot point. But as usual it ends with finding "true love" cause that is just the universal way of saying that love conquers evil. And so you can have a victory in a full package fashion of self-fullfilment and a romantic partner.

So like, saying things like "the story is outdated" and "ugh @ true love and prince" is just??? I can't find an eloquent way to say it, so let's just go with: stupid.

My mom just told me the other day about her friend, who called off her wedding because she felt "too ugly for the pretty guy". Years later she met someone else and she married the dude because he treated her good and that's it. They have a daughter and don't really even live together now. My sister, on the other hand, has a friend who's in a relationship and she's not really that much into her boyfriend but he has a lot of money and so it's a convenient situation for her.

These are just examples but my point is, there's plentyyyy of relationships like that these days. I think the world actually NEEDS true love and a reminder that you can have your own fairy tale, like stop being so pragmatic about life.

Meanwhile the approach that's represented by Rachel is not only being way too pragmatic (because, apparently, everything revolves only around work and building empires and no one really needs a good support system and emotional intimacy with the other *read with sarcasm*) but also it's villanizing love and villanizing men. We'll never be equal if we won't stop putting one above the other.

Also? Side note, I was a fan of Maleficent and how they got rid of the Prince there, I think they've done it in a clever way. I liked The Huntsman, that was an interesting twist on Snow White. I liked Once Upon a Time's version of Snow as well. Mirror Mirror flipped the script as well. So I don't think we have to forcibly prove the same thing over again. And if they want, they can come up with a new story or reach for another fairy tale that has the female protagonist saving the day (there's a few, just do a quick google). But obviously Disney won't come up with anything new because it's easier to sell something that's already familiar, that's why they're making those remakes.

(And like, so disrespectful to hate on the first ever full-length animated movie, like wtf.)

DnD Ramble!

JUST got out of the most hectic session i have *ever* been in and i loved every second of it. Prior to the session i had been listening to "The Symmetry Wars" by DnDorks on spotify, in which they get a magic rock that they decide to lick, which is connected to a wild magic table. So my humble request before the session was to add some kind of fae curses/wild magic table, just for fun.

So we are currently doing kind of a spinoff stormwreck isle- this is the second last session of the campaign (and then i have to take over *sob*) , and for this session we're breaking into the clifftop observatory to free Jelly (a bronze wyrmling who is the friend of Pebbin, an Aarakocra). From Sparkrender (big bad lightning wyrmling). And the SECOND we step into the place, we get "so can everyone roll 2d10s." .....it was the fae curse table. And my character, Kalyre, now thinks he is a Robot on a mission to learn about this world. So when i end up running head first into a kobbold, my immediate reaction is to a) interrogate him on what being a kobbold is like, and b) give him a persuasive speach to convince him to rise up against Sparkrender. Which went something like this:

Kalyre: "Are you tired of this humble life on this planet? Then why not rise up against this "Sparkrender" fellow, ....whoiwouldliketointerviewlater......and make yourself better!" (in like a siri voice)

DM: ...Roll for persausion

Me: *roll* dirty 20 hehhe.

Kobbold: "Yk, i can't believe im saying this, but your strange, monotone siri voice ....idekwhosiriisbutyousoundlikeher..... you are very inspiring, you man."

Aaannnddd then i got advantage on all rolls when the kobbold was with me. I then proceed to keep walking, and lick a statue. So i then have 3 fae curses. Kal thinks he's a robot, is glowing like a lightbulb, and has grown a aligator tail and dog ears. (And as a fun bonus thing, our druid, Dae, is constipated, and Pebbin starts dancing whenever they talk.)

I then keep walking, directly into two MORE kobbolds. I try the same "rise up and defeat sparkrender" strategy and it fails miserably, but we beat their asses. And the og kobbold dies half way through the fight and yk what Kalyre does? Leans over him, holds out his hand (which the kobbold takes) and Kal just....licks his hand. And then mr kobbold just.....dies.

So we destory the rest of the cobbolds in combat, destroy the puzzle set out for us and sneak past Sparkrender into his prison. While attempting to free Jelly, Sparkrender hears us, and bursts down the passageway, knocks out Runara and Avonin (some side characters) and the final boss battle of the campaign begins.

For a bit of backstory, Kalyre is a horrible fighter. He's a bard, he doesn't fight, he just plots and does smart stuff. I have almost died....SO many times in this campaign, like, more than anyone else in the party. So naturally I am very on edge during this battle, because with my track record, Kal will probably die.

And thus the battle begins, and is going pretty well. And then it eventually gets to me, and upon looking at my spells, i find a decent looking damage spell, Hellish Rebuke. So i go for it, honestly expecting it to fail. And Sparkrender fails the Dex saving throw. I roll 3d10s, and he takes *23* fire damage. (His health was like, 53 or smth in total.) So i, the wimpy littler bard, take out almost half his health, in one spell. (He does end up being spiteful and hitting me back which took me down to 6 HP, but i'm allg) DM (@theboredasexual) is incredibly salty that we absolutely dessimated the final boss like it was nothing. It was fabulous.

So we win the battle, hurrah! Save Jelly. And then the final punchline of this whole thing, is "Can i get you all to roll 2d10s." MORE FAE CURSES. So I ended up with a brightpink, long-ass beard. But more importantly, Pebbin. Rolls a 23. Which on the table is "Victim becomes deathly afraid of birds."

Pebbin is an Aarokocra. Pebbin is a bird man. HE IS AFRAID OF HIMSELF.

ok, so, I'm seeing that apparently some folks are scared to use the yuinardo tag for the Yuichi x Rise!Leo ship bc maybe 1-2 ppl are now suggesting that it should be for the Yuichix12!Leo ship (which I wasn't aware of).

please don't do that. The tumblr tagging is confusing enough xD

Basically, it's ok to have multiple tags for multiple kinds of the "same ship". Basically, I made this ship tag specifically for the Yuichi x Rise!Leo ship back in october because I thought a funnier or light-hearted sounding name would be fun - it combines Yuichi and Leo's nickname Nardo cuz well, those are both unique parts of their names.

But I also I made it bc I wanna eventually write a tmnt crossover where both leosagi (03) and yuinardo (these younger ones) show up as pairings, and wanted something that sounded unique and - smth that's become a "discussion topic" now in fandom - separate the tags a bit! cuz I like going into one tag and seeing one kind of ship vs multiple different kinds. it's confusing after a while.

so if you want to use it too, keep using it and see if others pick it up! I'll prob keep using it bc the Leochi/Leoichi tags are confusing to use for my dumb simple brain.

i don't know what could be a good tag for Yuichi x 12!Leo, but imo the peeps who ship it should decide themselves. I guess something like 12!Leochi would make sense based on previous shipname conventions or maybe 12!yuinardo if it's smth people really like to use

I've seen one person tag the transfem version of both (?) as "Blue Sapphics" and that's valid, sounds like a nice tag.

Kai wakes up in his bed with a gasp. He blinks, hastily sitting up. Before sighing with relief. It was just a dream, he wasn’t a murderer.

He humorlessly laughs to himself, before remembering that his parents were home. That he had probably fainted during the fight and was brought back to his room, just to have that terrifying dream. It was a surprise in itself that they would take the effort to bring him back to his bed.

He dresses before slinking downstairs. Immediately greeted with an enthusiastic morning. He blinks once again, this time in surprise, when his mother greets him with a huge grin, if not a bit artificial and plastic. Kai, too shocked at the greeting, doesn’t notice.

He carefully sits at the dining table, where his father resides, peacefully reading a newspaper. Kai sits up straight with his hands placed neatly in front of him, after a while he slouches, fidgeting with his hands and doing the things that usually rises a reaction out of either of his parents. Nothing happens. His mother approaches the table, uttering bland sentence starters as she places the breakfast on the table.

Kai begins to slowly chew before choking on his food when the realization hits. For the first time in forever his parents worry over him, asking if he’s alright.

‘Yeah- I uh. Um, wheres, wheres Davis.’

They respond, telling him he’s upstairs fixing the rooms. Kai rushes out of the dining room unprompted, skidding to a halt when he sees Davis fluffing the pillows in one of the many living rooms. Kai collides into Davis, hugging him tightly. Davis pats his head and asks if he’s alright in his usual monotone voiced manner.

‘Yeah, everything’s perfect.’

Kai meets up with his friends on the weekend. Kais nervous due to the fact that he’s scared that his friends aren’t conscious anymore. Now fully NPCs. His anxiety subsides when his friends reply correctly when he asks them if they know that the world is digital. Earning a few raised brows and frowns, all of them having agreed they wouldn’t bring up the fact that they weren’t real randomly and without reason.

After a few hours, his friends notice that Kai seems happier and more lively, and pointing out their observation to him. Kai pauses before remembering that he never explained to his friends of how his parents were before. He goes on to say that his parents were back in an excited manner. His friends replying in affirmation and congratulations.

Days pass as Kais parents explain that they aren’t leaving and instead staying. Kai wouldn’t have a problem with this if his parents being around isn’t slowly mentally exhausting him. He still remembers how they treated him, and it’s hard to break the habit of flinching whenever they make a sudden movement or when he says words that would accidentally trigger them. It put him on edge.

The small pieces of glitch that he notices in the corner of his vision doesn’t help either, hiding under objects and appearing in dark corners. It also rubs him the wrong way when his parents voices almost went dead or robotic at the end of their sentences. But he just blames it on the code getting used to the new additions that he added.

Eventually The Hollow kids decid to meet up again at the donut shop. Noticing the glitching thats been happening. They each share their own experiences, trying to piece together what the hell is happening. Kai doesn’t say anything, eyes refusing to meet anyone else’s and hands fidgeting nervously. His friends ask him whats wrong and he practically bursts, saying he doesn’t know anything or why anything was happening. Being a terrible liar, his friends give him strange looks. He excuses himself before rushing out of there.

The glitching gets worse. NPCs, animals, plants, glitch and contort. Kai stays holed up in his room, telling himself that everything’s fine, that everything’s perfect, that he didn’t fuck anything up. Even though deep down he knows he didn’t do the recoding right. That he didn’t take any precautions and the quick switch stressed the code too much and wore it thin. He Ignores his friends calls and messages of them trying to contact him. The Hollow kids attempt to contact Weirdy but can’t seem to reach him due to the excessive glitching.

Finally, Kai exits his room, trying his best to ignore the glitching and live his life normally. That is until he sees his parents. Horrified he stands stockstill, watching as his parents limbs contort into a nonhuman creature, glitching and fazing in through reality. Their heads snap towards him, eyes black and sunken. A distorted sound emits from their glitching mouths before they bound towards him.

Kai screams, running towards the front the door and slamming it open, skidding to a halt when he sees no ground. He looks up to see a blackish greenish abyss, his house and pieces of land floating around as the glitch eats away at it.

He glances over his shoulder back inside the house to see his family scrambling towards him like rabid glitching creatures, letting out ungodly robotic screeches. On instinct he jumps from his doorsteps, using his fire to maneuver himself midair and towards another piece of floating land. He crashes into it, scrambling onto his feet and looking back towards the mansion to see his parents also jump from the doorsteps before dissolving into pixels. With hazy eyes he spins half dazedly on his feet. Fully taking everything in.

This was all his fault.

He hears familiar voices and twists his head in the direction of the sound. He sees Vanessa flying, holding onto Reeve as she zips towards a huge chunk of land that seemed more solid than the others. His eyes flick a few ways over and watches Adam parkour onto multiple flying chunks, guiding Mira as well.

The adrenaline rushing through his veins scream at him to move and he activates his fire, also making his way to where his friends were grouping up on the stable digital road.

When they all make it there they check on each other to make sure no ones injured. Saying things like they’re so glad each of them are okay and such before asking what the hells going on.

They start throwing out questions and theories of what might’ve happened. Maybe the glitch from The Hollow transmitted to Hollow Life. Maybe this was inevitable and Hollow Life was always unstable. Maybe someone from the real world got ahold of the game. Kai stays silent, everyone words turning to static as his eyes dull out.

‘-Kai, Kai. Kai!’

He snaps from his daze to see his friends looking at him. His hands begin to shake.

‘Do you have any idea whats going on?’

The seemingly innocent question, only asked for his opinion on the matter has Kai hyperventilating.

‘I- I- didn’t mean for this to happen I swear! It wasnt, it wasnt supposed to go like this. I didn’t mean to i didntmeantoididntmeanto. Im sorry im sorry imsorry-‘

Tears begin to form and his whole body is shaking as he takes ragged breathes, chest heaving, eyes wild and flickering all over the place. His fingers that were digging into his palms go for his hair, clutching at strands.

His friends taken aback stare back at each other. Speechless. They try to gently ask what he’s talking about. Some more forceful and asking what he did. Kai takes hasty and paranoid steps back as they advance. They notice the glitch slowly eating away at the piece of land. Causing fear to make them grow angry and frantic as words are shot and screamed, not only at Kai but each other. Kai can only watch as he goes into a full blown panic attack, eyes fearfully trained to the floor.

His eyes snap back up when he hears screams of agony piercing his ears. He watches as the glitch reaches his friends and eat away at them, starting from their backs. He yells before rushing towards them, he reaches Adam and Mira first, hand stretched out in front of him, barely touching their chests before his friends turns into particles. Adams Hollow shirt and Miras Jacket fluttering to the ground, the only thing Kai was able to touch before they disappear.

He falls to his knees, hands fisting into the articles of clothing before he jerks to where Reeve and Vanessa stand. The glitch slowly descending from their heads and backs. He leaps back up, rushing towards them in pure desperation but unable to reverse a doomed situation. He collides into them, legs knocking into their bottom halves as their tops practically dissolve. He trips over Vanessas shoes and his knees land onto Reeves shorts.

Time stops.

He can’t breathe. He can’t see. He can’t think. His hands just blindly pad the digital ground, his eyes wide and staring straight forward, bundling all of his friends remains into his arms. His head slowly tilts down, and he sobs.

He keeps sobbing into the clothes as the world is destroyed around him.

Kai, being the last thing along with the headquarters when he recoded the world. He was more solid then the rest.

The headquarters.

He gasps in between his sobs, snapping his head up and frantically looking every which way, staring into the dark green void. His eyes finally catch sight, beyond the floating glitching trees. Stood the solid Hollow headquarters. He let out a wheeze, a breathless desperate wheeze before letting out a laugh. A full watery laugh.

He could fix this.

He could still fix this.

He stands on wobbly feet. His friends clothes still rolled up in his arms before he shifts it to only one arm. He braces his feet before speeding towards the edge. Leaping before using his free hand to maneuver himself in the air with his fire.

He clumsily reaches the headquarters, now the only lasting piece of Hollow Life left. He wastes now time, grabbing his bearings and runs inside. Mere instinct and memory rushing him towards the control panel room.

He stands before the panel and floating glitchy screen. Breathless, before he gets to work. Dropping the items on the ground, his hands reach towards the panel. He does the same thing he did before, erasing recent events. He resets to the world from before it was glitching and destroying itself.

His exhale comes out in a wheeze when he is finally sure that yes, he can bring everything back to the way it was. His expression turns serious when he sees his parents code. He doesn’t think twice before deleting them completely, confirming when a pop up box comes up asking if he’s sure. He hesitates before deleting the mansion as well.

He exits his personal life profile, before jumping in his skin, he rushed to The Hollow headquarters and deleted the building as well. There, now no one could mess anything up.

Now, he knew this process was delicate. He knew his friends would have their memories of what happened even if he did return the world to normal, Just like he had. He clicks onto them individually, erasing the memories of what had occurred. He stops, his hands hovering over the panel. He deletes the memories of how they got into this digital world in the first place.

They couldn’t know they were in a game at all.

He pauses. staring at the option of being able to delete a complete person from someones memories. He blinks a few times, his face streaked with tear stains but none falling any longer. His face hardens. Deleting himself from their memories. In an after thought he deletes himself from the NPCs memories as well, including Davis’s.

Suddenly an idea forms in his head, he scrambles to find him. To find Skeet, and there he is. Not even deleted, still whole as a piece of code, just not there. He grins for the first time since everything, the screen illuminating his face. He brings Skeet back, altering his memories as well.

He was done. Yes, there’d be a few holes in their memories but thats fine. His friends are never gonna know a Kai. His friends are never gonna have to bear the weight of Skeet dying. Of them dying. They weren’t even gonna know they were in a game. Nothing, could mess this up.

Other than him.

His hands fall to his sides. He would just somehow fuck it all up again wouldn’t he. Even if he tries to erase his own memories he would still find a way to fuck it up.

Just like he always does.

His fingers, almost as if they have a mind of their own pull up his profile and code. Just like his parents, on the side, theres the delete button.

The glitch inches closer, unbeknownst to Kai, eating away at the headquarters walls.

His hands shake, hovering over the delete button. He inhales deeply before exhaling.

This was for the best.

For everyone.

He wasn’t even real. He was agonizing over this shit for what.

That depressing thought releases a hollow chuckle from him.

He just hopes his friends are still sentient after all this. Still aware even if they aren’t aware, if that made sense.

He bends down before grabbing his friends clothes in his arm. Hugging them close to his chest. Imagining that he was telling them goodbye.

His hand reaches out and he presses the delete button before clicking on the ‘done’ button. He feels the world around him reform. The dark green particles reach him. Already having eaten the whole game. It inches towards him and the panel. The glitch climbs up him. Reaching his chest, he tilts his head up.

He felt empty. But, happy. He knew this was for the best. Even as he felt the glitch rip into his insides and a shot of pain ricocheted throughout his body. He closes his eyes, feeling at peace before the glitch consumes him whole.

Then, the world exploded into white.

In the white abyss, the headquarters flickered before disappearing. And then, everything reformed from the headquarters point. Trees exploded from the recreated ground. Birds and mammals reappeared as if they never left. People came back to life along with homes and families and friends.

Each and everyone of Kais friends (including Skeet) awake from their respected beds groggily.

Kai wakes up with a gasp. His chest heaves as his eyes immediately squint against the bright white walls and floors.

Kai sits up, pain shooting through his body before settling to a dull ache. He groans, pressing the palm of his hands to his eyelids.

He brought them back to his sides. He blinks, eyebrows furrowing as he steadily took in his predicament.

‘What-‘

He frantically pats himself down, as if checking to see if he was really there.

He shouldn’t be alive.

He got deleted.

He’s supposed to be dead.

Did he fail?…

Kais breathing picks up pace as he eyes the clothes scattered beside him. Adams shirt, Miras jacket, Reeves shorts, and Vanessas shoes. He tilts his head up to look in front of him. All he sees is a white abyss. Kai swallows the lump in his throat, trying his best to ground himself.

Then he sees something. He squints his eyes once more, peering into the distance. Far off, stands a building. He stands, holding the bundle of clothes before hesitantly taking a step forward. Then another. He starts walking towards the building.

He stops in front of the mansion and the headquarters, side by side. And the realization hits him.

He’s in the trash bin.

overall impresison: this was one of my favs back in the day, and it was easy to recall why! great setup of the characters and dynamics, overall good pacing, some rlly funny moments . . . we were all so happy that day . . . it’s hard to imagine how bad things were abt to become :(

Guess whos backkkkkkkkk with Episode 11 now

Since the last ep of my rewrite ended with Aphmau already having the key on her and offering to try and open the door, we're basically immediately skipping to them opening the door

I had something else written here originally bc I forgot that not!Zenix shot at the guys at the very end of the episode, so I'll do it like this: Aphmau goes down into the cellar to open the door while Brenden and Zenix stay at the entrance to make sure no one follows her down or smth

So yea, she goes down like in the OG and reads the previous Lord's journal and while she's reading that last line ("then... wait something is going on upsta"), she hears some noises from above and scurries up the stairs, she doesnt notice/take the old monarch's stuff ofc

Brenden got shot Uh Oh, and Aphmau tries to ask Zenix what happened, but he doesnt answer and instead runs off to pursue the fleeing not!Zenix

Aphmau starts panicking, her brain is kinda short-circuting bc shes shocked and doesnt wth is going on but she catches herself fairly quickly and tries to help Brenden as well as she can

Idk maybe as a little moment for some extra tension/anxiety she tries to pull the arrow out of his chest but it breaks so she leaves it be and instead tries to stop the bleeding somehow (she could do that cliche thing they do in stories where they rip off their sleeve in order to stop it idk)

Aphmau drags him over to the village, she's calling for help n shit and some villagers come out to help, Garroth gets there too a moment later. As I wrote that, I had the idea of maybe emphasizing how the villagers hide away at night a bit more, so that this can maybe be another moment where its like "oh! theyre becoming more active and self-aware!!" but we'll see

Garroth gives some orders or something and they carry Brendon away to take care of him before he turns to Aphmau to aks her about what happened and where Zenix is

Aphmau tries to explain everything but shes still panicking so its kinda difficult to understand but she gets the main points across; they were at the old Lord's house, someone attacked them and Brendon got shot, Zenix ran after the guy who shot at them etc

Garroth nods and goes to follow everyone else to check on Brendon but Aph stops him and asks smth like "Is he going to be okay?" and Garroth tells her that he's gonna do his best and that he's sending someone to go get a doctor and some special herbs from Brightport. Idk I found it kinda strange that Garroth had this whole thing about how its better for Aphmau to stay in the village bc theres some guy going around assassinating people, but then she just. leaves the village w/ no issues or second thoughts. This is another one of those things that makes more sense if this is basically just a Single Player Open World RP but would come across as a really strange inconsistency in any more conventional stories (or even Aphmaus later series, which are less Roleplay and more A Fantasy Drama Series-Thing but filmed in Minecraft)

He then tells her that she should probably go home and try to rest now bc its been a stressful night n stuff, which she does (maybe one of her friends accompanies her, or Emmalyn asks her if she wants to stay with her again but Aph declines idk)

Once shes there, she just kinda sits down on her bed and tries to process All Of That, maybe she can start crying if we wanna amp up the drama but im not sure abt that yet

Ngl I completely lost track of Meowki, her cat, but uhhhh i think I'd be nice if he came to her and she petted him and they had like, a lil bonding moment

Aph tries to fall asleep but cant, so its basically just her waiting for the sun to rise again for a few hours until she goes outside and runs into Donna who tells her to meet Garroth n stuff

From then on it more or less continues like in the OG, she goes to the farm house, Brendon is laying there with Garroth, Zenix and Kiki standing around around him

Garroth tells her that Brendon is in terrible shape, but that that Brightport doctor will get here soon with the herb and will hopefully be able to help him

Kikis dialogue stays the same, maybe Aphmau reassures her some more so that it feels more like an actual conversation

Aphmau goes over to Zenix and asks him if hes okay and his dialogue mostly stays the same, some minor tweaks; he doesnt say he and Brendan were about to go home, he says they were just casually talking before everything happened and he says that he persued the attacker for a long while until he lost track of him

(Maybe Garroth can add smth like "Yes, we cant risk losing you right now" to add onto Zenix' last line but I honestly still dont have too good of a grasp on his character, so I'll decide on that once im done w/ the season)

Aphmau just nods and swallows hard before telling everyone that she's gonna go out and try to ressure the others and keep everyones spirits up

Im gonna move her dialogue w/ Logan (that food merchant) to the next episode I think, judging by the title theres not much happening in the next episode anyway

MC in fire signs (especially Leo & Aries), air signs (especially Gemini & Libra) = The reason for this is because I've noticed that while these signs are rather very social by nature, having these in your 10H can really make you love being able to "let loose" sometimes! the fire signs love the thrill of the moment and the air signs loveeeee the connects<3

ASC in Sagittarius and Leo, Virgo(surprise!!), Cancer(surprise!!), Scorpio(HHAHAHA surpriseee!!!!) and Capricorn (yup) = for sagittarius and leo rising it's because they enjoy being the center of attention and they loveeeee the "yolo" feelings that partying gives them😆 Virgo rising can seem like very lowkey people but please don't forget their 12H is in Leo guys LOL and their MC is in Gemini too -> flirty asf when they're drunk there i said it;). Cancer and Scorpio rising is there for the drugs tbh they know they're too hot to be here, the highest in the room. Capricorn risings have two type of party people: 1. twerking on the table doing funnels or 2. on their 4th joints and still "don't feel anything"💀

Moon in Sagittarius, Libra, Pisces, Leo, Virgo, Aries, Aquarius, Taurus and sometimes, Scorpio -> imagine the party looking smth like this: Taurus and Libra moon are charming by nature and they're liked by everyone that's why they're here or they're hosting the party, chill and laidback people, might stop you from doing dumb stuff but will also throw up after midnight, Pisces/Aquarius and possibly Scorpio moon are snorting c*cain out in the balcony. They're the OG crackheads and are so crazy hype when there fav song starts to play! Leo,Virgo and Sagittarius busting moves like no others on the dance floor, thinks they're the main characters. Aries moon is either blacked out already or they're the one choosing the music🥰

Chart Ruler in 1st, 3H, 5H, 7H, 10H (yup), 11H – crave the feeling of adrenaline rushing through their veins. chart ruler in 5H are probably making out with someone in the washrooms tbh. 10H ruler is just here to "connect" and expand their circles(smartasses).

Jupiter in 5H = hOok Ups, flings and fun mEmOries >>

Mars in 1H, 5H = same as Jupiter but they also need some kind of emotional outlet rather than working out and screaming🖤

Mars in 11H = people's people. know everyone. liked by everyone✨

Venus in the 11H = LOVED by almost everyone so thats why they're always invited. might not show up that often though!

Sun in 5H,10H,11H = same as Mars in 11H, but they're also down for anything at this point. people gravitate towards them because even if they're relaxing, they still seem fun.

Moon in 11H, 5H, 7H = always need to be around others. live off the party's energy.

Mercury in 5H, 3H,7H,11H = too hilarious for their own sakes. charmed their way into shits. light-hearted convos. diplomatic people.

That one kid with a 11H stellium = everyone knows them, yet don't really ~know~ them, friendly and approachable so they're just get invited everywhere

That one kid with an 8H or 5H stellium = if well aspected+beneficial placements can create a freaking jock. talks their ways into ppl's beds.

Virgo anything. Mom friend that people confide in. It's so funny it's always that person with virgo placements who sober up within 2 minutes when someone started to show up. ( a friend of mine is a virgo rising and she stopped twerking because someone threw up and she just start to start mopping and obsessively cleaning, not giving into the stereotypes but she also has a 6H stellium LMAO)

Jupiter 7H/11H = connections and people are sooo important to them. so they learn to have fun;)
