Ein Weihnachtsfilm. Allerdings kein besonders guter. Habe mich von den paar Leuten, die behaupten, er sei doch gar nicht so schlecht ablenken lassen, sowie vom jungen Robert Downey jr., der hier hingebungsvoll als Drogenabhängiger zugrunde geht, aber die öde geschleckte Welt, wie sie Bret Easton Ellis auch nicht wollte, lässt das eigentlich als eine gute Idee erscheinen. „Anti-Kokain Parabel versetzt mit sentimentalem Gedusel" schreibt (laut Wikipedia) die Los Angeles Times. Hätte ich mal lieber Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang geschaut. Das ist ein feiner Weihnachtsfilm mit Robert Downey jr.

Elderly former soviet spy Guy Burgess is being interviewed by an American journalist about how his life ended up on the path it did. In relaying his story, he focuses on the transition into his senior year at a prestigious boys school in Britain in the 1930s, his desire to climb the student hierarchy, his friendships, his first love, and his developing life beliefs. Based on the play by Julian Mitchell.
