*The queen excitedly opens the letter, and squints. It looks as though she's struggling to make out some of it. It was written...hastily. She looks over her shoulder as if to scold empty air, and quickly goes back to her task of reading it to Mary.*
"Dear Sparkly Gremlin,"
*She side eyes the same spot she scolded lightly before, but continues on*
"You are cordially invited to this year's Banshee Blossom Ball. My Queen has requested that you inform any residents of the hotel that you think may like to attend. Out of respect for my love and the event, I will remain civil. You have my word.
You are allowed to bring ONE special guest. The two of you will be treated as... VIPs. Much to my distaste."
*Another scolding look came from the queen to the empty air again*
"As a VIP, you will have a say on one of the scheduled events (prompts of the day). Please make your arrangements with my beloved Queen, as she is the event planner. You are the first to be informed of the ball happening. Further details will come in an official invitation in the very short future.
You have earned this title due to your...kindness and service to my subjects. I hate writing this. I HATE IT. But my Queen has barred kisses from me until I do, so I must.
This is the only time you will hear this from me, so listen well:

For now I sat against the walls in the halls,as a few other ghosts surrounded me. Boos,Goobs,Hellen…Hellen?! There was a soft look on her face.
“…Mary?? Whatever are you doing here by your lonesome-?? Huh-“
*She notices the letter in my hands,amongst my puffy pink sleeves…the writing is all but a scribble to her…but those initials…those…*

Several boos,those who lived in the hotel and those who came with you began to huddle up around me,knowing just how Hellen’s going to react.
“…Hellen,is okie!! I promise!! I thinks”
“…HE CAME HERE AGAIN-???? HE’S TARGETTING THIS PLACE FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME?! THAT PATHETIC WEASLE-!! HE NEVER KNOWS WHEN TO QUIT- HE- …What-??”
“Queenie gave dis to me!!!”

*She was doing her absolutely hardest to hide any sense of annoyance. What could she be here for NOW?! Rubbing it in that the King’s heart belongs to her?! HAH-!!! She doesn’t care less about being beloved by him!! Only introducing him to death once more if he even thinks about going near the hotel again…*

Treated like garbage and pushed away…in her OWN hotel…what kind of world does she have to live in…?! *Soon enough,Hellen found herself face to face with someone she hoped she wouldn’t have to see in a long time…or maybe…two? Not like she can see the other…while I found myself next to a few of the staff members,trying to calm me down about the whole thing!! And asking about the whole VIP thing. Also there were a few boos on my head. Stacked. You see several scoops of Icecream stacked on eachotjer? PICTURE DAT BUT WITH BOOS!!*

Oooh, that’s a very good question… I’m not too sure yet! I may do something different and have things be more hands-on and have multiple people involved- maybe like a secret Santa sort of thing? Maybe I’d pair people up, and they could write/draw for one another? Both parties would have to contribute(or maybe certain people can write for people who won’t write?)- but either way I’d like to do some kind of event!

I want Mario to grip Luigi just a bit tighter as he takes in that Luigi is here. He's OK. He's real and hugging him back. He's never had to go through these kinds of lengths for his brother, but he would gladly do so again.
I want Luigi to also cling to Mario and sob. Tears soaking his Bro's shoulder in relief. Nevermind that he's had to deal with this whole event without Mario; he's just so glad his Bro is back with him, and he feels stronger again ❤💚

KB as Luigi's toxic ex.
Listen.
Me, @istadris and probably many others who have seen their post have headcanoned that King Boo is Luigi's bitter, toxic ex who is pissed off that he was dumped and wants him back. Last night I came up with a literal timeline of how everything went down from LM1 to LM3 and I want to talk about it.
Lm1: KB was just another villain trying to show superiority, didn't even think Luigi would show up to save his bro and didn't have any traps or plans to defend against him, didn't even think he had to, hence why only the boos and poltergeist were actively aggressive towards Luigi, as it was under KB's command since he didn't want him getting Mario back, who was the actual priced possession at the time. Heck, there weren't even any Toads to save from paintings which shows KB's main goal.
Aftermath: KB is defeated and is shocked that he was defeated by Luigi, the second, shadowed brother of the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom with only a damn vacuum and some tiny elemental spirits he found hidden in the mansion. He wants to be mad but he's more curious and intrigued instead. This then leads him to try and learn more about the green man, heck even getting into Mario Kart, Mario Party and other games like this to try and approach him after hearing that Bowser was invited to these events too (He couldn't get into Smash Bros cause then it'd be too many Mario characters).
Start and end of the relationship: Luigi and KB know each other more personally now and they it ends up with them dating. But, KB is still an egotistical king that wants more power and he finds the purple gem stone that he replaced the red one with and it makes him more insane and aggressive. Luigi is scared and has to break up with him, trying to do so as lightly as possible so KB isn't too hurt emotionally and they can still be friends. Take three guesses on how that went based on LM Dark Moon. KB is furious and in denial, not wanting to let go of Luigi, but when he doesn't succeed he's so enraged that he swears to get revenge for this and keep him forever.
LM Dark Moon: KB learns of the new, docile ghosts that stay calm thanks to the power of the floating crystal called the Dark Moon (which I honestly want to look more into) and shatters it to unleash chaos and gain control over them. By this point, he knew how Luigi was the only one who could actually take on ghosts and boos and that he was more closely associated with EGadd so he was certain that he'd be called to do the job. Also because he kidnapped his brother again. The toads were just there and why not trap them to make it more fun? Afterall, the Toads were proper assholes to Luigi in way too many games so he took this chance to punish them for it. I don't think KB created all these mansions, he just found them and used them as his arenas, letting the ghosts figure out the how each one operated and use it to their advantage, with the boos often keeping them in line to the king's goal at hand. Even so, it was obvious that KB was more focused on doing actual harm to Luigi, with the creatures he created thanks to his new gem, to controlling the ghosts and even cursing the broken pieces of the Dark Moon, to going as far as to open a portal and let so many ghosts in that it nearly lead to the dimension collapsing on itself! All of this in a single night! I also want to point out the part in the scene at Secret Mines, where the boos had the ghosts in those red crystals to make them more powerful, taunting them while they themselves looked scared and trying to free themselves before having all that power forced into them and driving them crazy? That probably gave Luigi PTSD since he went through something similar with a worse outcome. And to top it all off, when he had finally all the pieces and thought he could go back to the lab to prepare to get Mario with probably the help of the ghosts, KB sabotages the camera that pixelated Luigi and went him in a pocket dimension that no one would be able to reach them and he couldn't escape from on his own. Honestly, I loved how they didn't have KB move at all besides him floating and staring at Luigi like that the entire time he mocked him, it made him look way scarier, like the calm anger mixed with menace. KB probably tried to make a deal that he'd let Mario go if he came back to him and ruled the land with him but Luigi refused and the fight started, if he couldn't make Luigi come to him willingly then he'd look lovely in a painting above his throne.
LM3: KB. Has. Lost. It. He is royally pissed and more psychotic than ever. He has become more ruthless and desperate to make Luigi pay before he is captured, knowing he couldn't save anyone, especially his bro and the princess. He was truly lucky he found such a naive ghost to willingly and obediently do anything he asked for and made the hotel probably as luxurious as his own castle as a way to show Luigi that this was the luxury he could have had but won't be able to enjoy now that he controlled ever spec of it. He is set on punishing Luigi in the worse way possible, the bosses using terrifying methods to defeat him, all unique and terrifying. Have you seen the T-Rex one? All ghost bosses had some strategy but that boss fight was immediate with no strategy except brute force and desire to kill. And the hotel is filled with deadly traps, spiked walls that slowly close in on you, locked in a room with deadly gas, axes swinging from the ceiling to slice you, the ceiling being threatened to collapse on you in a slow and torturous way, the list can go on but you get the idea. Luigi is greater danger than he'd ever been and at this point, KB is set on having Luigi alive or dead as long as he's his. He is sick to double-death with him slipping away from him when none of this even needed to happen.

- What the heck are Banshee Blossoms?
Glad you asked, my fine friend! They're a fictional flower I made up based on these pretty little blooms on the roof of the mansion!
(Don't mind the fire. Luigi is totally fine.)
Here's my silly little doodled rendition for reference!
Banshee Blossoms are symbols of love, romantic and platonic, even familial! There's a tradition in the Boo Kingdom where you give one to someone you care about. They're said to bless whomever is gifted one with good luck and a happy relationship for the rest of their lives into their afterlife! Theyre pale white flowers that glow like moonlight with purple foliage.
They only bloom in the month of March, so now is the best time to come and view them!
- What's this event all about?

This event is tailor made for those of you who selfship or self insert as well as anyone who has Luigi's Mansion ocs! You're all welcome to attend! I'll be hosting it along with my darling husband King Boo 💕
It's just a small, relaxed event for everyone to have fun with whether you're an artist or not.
The general thing you can do is go around to your friends' ask boxes and leave them Banshee Blossoms should you feel so inclined. But we also have... Prompts!

That's right! Prompts. You're a great listener!
The event runs from March 15th - March 17th, and throughout those days, you, dear listener, will have two prompts to choose from with which you may create things with! Think of them as themed projects? You can choose one or do both if you're feeling it!
The regular prompts will be:
15th - Arrival / Meeting
(Your arrival at the ball, or you meeting someone at the ball!)
16th - Grudges / Spinoffs
(Getting out any grudges before the party begins, or thinking of your self insert/ship/oc in the context of a Mario series spinoff like Mario Kart or Mario Golf ect.)
17th - Party / Comfort
(How you would be enjoying the party, or perhaps reviving comfort from somebody or something.)
Along with our regular prompts, we will also have musical ones for those of you who are music autistics with melodies in your heart like me.
Those will include:
15th - Treacherous Mansion /Paranormal Chaos
16th - Phantom Dancing / Luigi's Mansion DS
17th - Luigi's Mansion Credits / LM3 Music box
These work just like the regular creative prompts! You're just going off a song rather than an idea. You can do one, two, or all three of these options if you wish! No rules against that!

Was reading the long ask relating to the LM3 ghost seducer AU. Normally, I keep a very large distance between myself and Super Mario Franchise R18/R20/whatever-you-call-it, but the written content for the AU is intriguing and I would like to hear more on it. Like, if you want to, flesh it out some more or give more ideas about the events? Pretty please?
[Referring to this AU about Luigi being, for unknown reasons, very attractive to ghosts and thus making Luigi's Mansion very...interesting]
Ooooh, thank you for asking about this AU, I missed it haha !
I'll admit I gave most of my 'main ideas" for how each encounter with the Floor Ghosts bosses would go...
But now I wonder how Luigi's mindset would evolve in that story, because he certainly would be in deep, deep denial about both his attraction to ghosts AND his ability to attract them.
Until LM3, everytime he's had sex with a ghost, he would rationalize it. It was for survival, it wasn't really sex, ghosts don't have the same concept of sexuality as humans. I don't think he would actually have sex with the Portrait Ghost in the first game (given that half of them are kids and all that), but even then, are they "real" ghosts?
(He totally gave more than Mario's belongings to Madame Clairvoya. He was being thankful, you see.)
Then in LM2 the ghosts are pretty mischievous, he can claim they're just messing with him...
But by LM3, not only does King Boo call him out on his attraction to ghosts at the beginning of the story (before tossing him into the laundry chute), but the ghosts are more than explicit in their intentions with him, and the main ones are really human ghosts...
So even if their "methods" can differ from human sex, they still are perfectly aware of what they're after, and what they're doing. And again, no one is subtle on the matter.
Also, the whole time, King Boo has been monitoring the situation and is growing more and more jealous, so when Luigi arrives, reeking of everyone's aura? Oh, he's insane with jealousy and desire. Grabbing and holding Luigi with his tongue and summoning doubles of himself as he stakes once and for all his claim on Luigi (whose biggest challenge is to not lose himself in that possessive grip and power).
"All of these ghosts, yet at the end, you belong to ME!"

Also, I usually see Luigi's Mansion and the Paper Mario games in different continuities, but just because I'm playing Paper Mario 64 and I just reached the Lady Bow chapter : at some point Lady Bow asks Mario to bring his brother to her mansion, "I've heard so much about him...and my Boos would love to meet him~"
Mario as soon as he gets home : "Luigi, don't ever go in the Forever Forest"

Mario has ADHD and Luigi is autistic
The Koopalings are Bowser's adopted children, Jr being his only biological child
Professor E. Gadd has the bros basically adopt Gooigi after the events of LM3 because E. Gadd realized that Gooigi has the cognitive capacity of a toddler and wouldn't be able to survive on his own once E. Gadd dies
He's old as shit, I give him like 3 years tops

After Galaxy, Rosalina's Observatory passes by Earth far more frequently, so the Star Festival now takes place every year instead of every 100 years.
Peach and Mario would 100% get married on the day of the Star Festival

Yoshis are an extremely intelligent species and are more than a wild animal (like- human level intelligence)

Magikoopas are naturally magic and are born with their abilities. Most of them just prefer to use wands to store their magic and keep it in check so they don't accidentally burn down a church
Kamek actually stored some of his own magic in the Koopalings' wands since they don't have any abilities of their own, and he taught them how to use the wands

Im sorry but can I just rant for a second about how much I FREAKING LOVE Peach in LM3❤️💕:
First of all, for the third pic, I am manifesting the head canon of peach being a passionate homemaker and decorator for the castle in the Mushroom kingdom.
Also I was DYING when Toad made the crack at Peach for being so practical to the point of overpacking for the trip in the second pic.
Like, she’s a highly fashion-conscious princess, Odyssey already proved that, so it makes sense that she’d want to be prepared for any event that may go on at the resort.
And for the first pic, This really shows just how forgiving and considerate Peach is when she’s willing to help the people who supposedly aided in imprisoning her and her friends, by helping the ghosts rebuild the hotel.
Look at her in the hard hat using the drill MY GIRL HAS MANY TALENTS❤️😄
Even when your walking around exploring other peoples rooms, you can see that Peach’s parasol is bent and out in the open in her room, implying that she actually FOUGHT at first to prevent her capture.
Like, LM3 just added SO much personality and charm to the Mario cast, Peach included. So if we can defend Mario from the ‘MARIO HAS NO PERSONALITY’ hate group, then we better start doing the same for game Peach from now on.

Do you have any king boo headcanons
Sorry this took so long to answerrr
In the first Luigi's Mansion he targeted Mario because he's harmed boos and himself before and wanted revenge but he wanted Luigi solely because he finds him pleasing to look at. In Dark Moon and LM3 he targets Luigi because he's obsessed with getting him in a painting as a trophy/for revenge and has nothing better to do with his ghost life.
The gems he's had were all power enhancers and he's normally just a tad stronger than a normal boo without it. The main power it gave him was the power to create illusions with spirit balls and give his boos the same power. The red gem in the first game altered his appearance to be different from the regular boo, but it wasn't permanent until Dark Moon. The gem he used in Dark Moon was much more powerful but also had a larger trade-off, it controlled him and threw what little morals he had in the first game out the window. He was still able to go along with what he planned (get Luigi in a painting) but the way he did it was more harsh than how he would've done it with a clear head (he wouldn't have enslaved the other ghosts). This only gets worse with the next gem he gets in LM3. At this point he's ruthless and wants nothing but to capture Luigi and his family and is willing to use any means against it.
After the events of LM3 and he's given time to think about his actions, he feels bad for his boos because of how neglecting he's been to them (no remorse for Luigi and others tho lmao).
He's a prideful spirit, but hardly anyone but his own boos actually respect him. He's pissed off at this because he's actually been able to defeat and capture Mario on numerous occasions while Bowser, who gets more respect, hasn't been able to. He believes fighting with Luigi is his only way of showing off how strong he is (he also believes Luigi is well respected because of these fights and would be furious and offended once he learns only E.Gadd, Mario, Peach, and a few Toads know about it)
He's greatly disturbed by Gooigi and wants him dead, only to be even more disturbed when Gooigi can't die.
Boolossus is like a kid to him, he's close to all boos but he's especially close to them.
He names all of his boos, he came up with those puns.

Like pratically all things I like, my obsession towards LM3 doesn't exist almost anymore but I am still into the fandom! :D I still have ideas, backstory for my LM3 OCs that I wanna develop and show.
I would be so happy as usual if you are cuious and would ask about my ghost characters, and that you or your ocs even interact with them!!
For LM3 AUs, however, I decided to find new fandoms for my alternate ocs (such as rn, Carmení (Horror!Paloma) into Kirby series and Olivia/Hollyvia (Roleswap!Paloma) into Cuphead game); they are stucked into Miitopia at least. It would be a waste to not use them anymore. T-T
BUT
If you wanna interact with them from their respective AUs, I don't see any problem and would be really happy again! There is one of them who is into an event after all (*wink wink* to @/nekoandfriends ;D)

Do you have headcanons for if Luigi and whoever you ship with him adopted the triplets(considering they are children who clearly need parental figures)?
Sounds fun to do!
After the events of lm3 the triplets apologised to Luigi after the trouble they caused to him and started to trust him more by the time.
Since the triplets arent from modern times Luigi teaches them how some things work like phones or cars.
The girls love polterpup (specialy Nikki), when Luigi is working they take care of him and play with the dog, polterpup also adores them!
As for if I ship Luigi with anyone in lm3 I ship him with Morty, and he has a great relationship whith the triplets, they make the special effects in his movies and the girls think he is one of the nicest ghosts in the hotel.
