Wait a minute, Sonic was on Earth for ten years in the first movie, but he only lived in the cave for seven? I don't like the implications of that :(

Yeah, I was confused at first with this reveal, but I think that means he literally didn't have anywhere to settle for the first 3 years he was on earth....

So in order for this to work, the AU needs to follow how the morals and laws of the world in GoT.

Second, I would prefer to keep the main Kingdoms as they are, with houses. And smaller lands that are for characters that aren't royalty in Mario canon, and would be changed to Lords etc (if fitting) - and would get houses too.

So for the Mareach story;

Peach is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom (as in canon), belonging to House Toadstool. Her mother passed away, and her father is more than eager for her to marry a nobleman or prince, in order to conceive and birth sons to take over the crown from the King.

Mario is a nobleman, son of a lord, and from House Brooklyn. He and his family are approached by a representative of the Mushroom King to marry Peach and secure a place to the throne.

Now, Mario is not fond of having to be essentially traded away in order to marry a woman he has never met, let alone he parted from his family, and especially his brother. But the House of Brooklyn is struggling, and he's all to aware that it needs to get some kind of recognition in order to gain allies and power.

So he goes along to the Mushroom Kingdom, leaving his family and his brother, Luigi, behind.

Things are more than awkward when Mario and Peach meet. Mario had no idea what this princess would be like, and had pictured her as ugly and stuck-up. Only to find to his surprise that she is nothing like that, and he instantly falls for her beauty and softness.

However (unlike most characters in GoT), Mario is a gracious person, and still does not like the idea of subjecting this woman and himself to a marriage when they don't even know each other. Let alone be expected to bed her.

They do try one night - after only a few days of trying to get to know each other - at the insistence of the King that Mario must give Peach a son to carry for him.

They do try, but after they have undressed, Mario takes a look at the beautiful Princess, and he just can't do it. He refuses to put her and himself through this, when it all feels so wrong. Knowing what it would entail if they were to go through with it.

I don't have any idea where the story would go from there...But I do imagine that Mario and Peach do properly fall in love and have heirs - after perhaps a bloody battle or two 👀

Ok, I may not know how the plot in a Mario GoT AU would go...

But I do have an idea of how Mareach would go!
