Saw the 1982 French adaptation of Les Misérables today. The parallel between the very first and very last scenes made me choke.
À Toulon ... (In Toulon...)
"Vous êtes libre." (You are free.)
"Maintenant, vous êtes libre." (Now, you are free.)
... dans les limbes. (...in limbo.)
So obviously it inspired me to draw another little something heavily based on that. I however chose to draw the characters the way I envision them (do note that the Valjean design will probably change, as I did not think it through too much yet!) instead of the actors themselves.
And honestly, it had been a while since the last time I was so productive in terms or drawing...!

Mr L spends hours carefully ripping holes in his jeans and almost rage quits several times because of course Mario and Luigi don't buy flimsy clothes that rip and tear easily, they buy to last through their long and difficult jobs.
I find the fact that fanon likes to make Mr. L a bit of a....slob kinda hilarious
I think Luigi would absolutely freak if he found out his alter-ego was too caught up in building killer robots to bother with keeping up with personnel grooming too much.

I was scrolling by and saw the preggo Mr L and preggo Super Dimentio and I could feel the combined panic of both Mario and Bowser.
Now imagine if it was Peach when they had to face the Shadow Queen. Mario and Peach are a couple, Peach is preggo and gets possessed by a goddamn demon. Worse of all, Mario has to attack that demon and try his absolute hardest to not lay a finger on his beloved and unborn babies, which is nearly impossible with Shadow Queen catching on and using Peach's body as a shield.
I don't think Mario could even try to attack Peach if she was pregnant. Doing it in her normal state would have been heartbreaking on its own (I'm still convinced he only did it because he saw signs he wasn't directly harming her and it still broke his heart), but in this state...oh, the nightmares he would have after that.

My opinion is that if you don't dare to use a word because it shocks you (from swears words to disturbing topics), and you can't think of a proper or useful turn of words to go around censorship without sounding like a kid, and can only use that word with unreadable censor symbols that make it impossible to tag for people actually triggered by it, maybe you're not the most qualified person for a discussion focused on that word.
i know that "unalive" is part of larger worrying trend of self censorship but if you really are in a situtation where you have to avoid the words "die" or "kill" the english language already has centuries worth of much better euphemisms. the iconic and perennial "six feet under"? the lovely imagery of "pushing up daisies"? "shuffle off this mortal coil"????? literally anything from the monty python dead parrot bit???? you have so many options. please try to be more creative at least
