Okay, so this is the third fanart I’ve done of teenage Trevor using Jinx (Arcane) as a base, so I think I’d better explain the headcanon behind it.

It’s not a headcanon I’m entirely sold on. There’s nothing Trevor really does to indicate he was ever Jinx levels of mentally unwell, but I do speculate that losing one’s entire family in one violent swoop does not do wonders for the psychological state.

In the series, Trevor says he lost his family at 13-14, then corrects himself down to 12. Twelve years old is already a volatile point in development both mentally and physically. Throw in the trauma of losing home and family and being reduced from a son of what was one of the greatest aristocratic families in Wallachia to being despised and attacked everywhere he went, that’s a lot for a kid to handle to say the least.

So yes, similar to Jinx, I can picture Trevor going through a period of psychosis. Unlike Jinx, I picture his rage being a lot more focused and goal-oriented: such as obsessively avenging his family and hunting down the mob leaders.

Another character I compare Trevor to a lot (and one I think is more comparable to him than Jinx) is Kvothe from The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Not to give spoilers for a good book, but there is a page where the main character discusses the ‘Doors of Grief’ in the face of personal trauma. They are Sleep, Forgetting, Madness, and Death. I’m not gonna quote the whole thing, but here’s the highlight I want to bring up: “There are times when the mind is dealt such a blow it hides itself in insanity.”

Where we find Trevor at the beginning of the series, the aimless wandering and the alcoholism, it kinda struck me as emotional and mental burnout. Like he’d already taken vengeance for his family, but as we all know, vengeance brings little comfort to anyone. So with no family, no home, no honor, and at this point, no reason to pass on his legacy to anyone, he, like Kvothe, has reached the quiet sadness Sypha had to point out to him.

Perhaps not quite the levels of despair Kvothe has reached, but in my opinion, Trevor was headed that direction before Alucard and Sypha showed up.

Ugh where to START okay:

I think he has kind of a thing where he doesn't like touching things outside of his space with his hands which is why he wears gloves. However, he always takes them off when he's going to fuck you. He likes the feel of you, to feel you.

He has LOTS of sex toys and likes using them on you. But again, he doesn't take his gloves off until HE'S going to fuck you. But he doesn't fuck you until you are an overstimmed mess.

The above I think also relate to him needing to be in control. Imo he's a control freak.

Huge flirt and really good at it. Also bisexual and uses his flirtation to manipulate people to do what he wants/catch them off guard.

My fav book/manga:

JUJUTSU KAISEN it was the first anime i watched where i liked it so much i felt compelled to read the manga so it was also the first manga i ever bought and read! It is also my comfort media (both anime and manga) which is so fucked up bc it really is anything but 😭

My favorite book series though is Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. Some of the most poetic and beautiful writing I have ever had the pleasure of reading and I recommend it to everyone BUT beware there's only 2 books out we've been waiting 10+ years for the third ☠

Hmm something everyone should read at least once....this is hard all I can think of is poetry generally. Pablo Neruda is my favorite poet so I would maybe say to read something by him. Reading poetry from different languages/cultures is something I would recommend. I have a ton of poetry books from across different cultures/languages and I love reading how different each one is.

What are your headcannons of siodonna?

Siodonna is one of the few countries that managed to resist Obelia's colonization

they are military not very advanced but they had a skillful marriage policy and knew how to make allies of their neighbouring countries

it also helped that they were located far away from Obelia which would make a conquest much harder

they are the only ones that still believe in the old gods (the world tree) but their religion split up into different sects

some say the world tree is the only true god, some say the world tree merely serves as a messenger, other's claim that they have seen fairies around the world who are the true servants of the world tree, then others speculate that the fairies or a creature that lives in the branches of the tree are the ones performing the miracles and not the tree itself

when a Siodonnian citizen dies they will plant a tree on the grave, it's symbolic to a ladder to heaven

instead of "go to hell" there is a similar phrase which roughly translates to "go find the world tree/chase the world tree"

many young men and women travelled the world to find the world tree or find themselves, it used to be a ritual to mark the passage between childhood and adulthood

there is the belief that when you find the world tree it will grant you three wishes: "I can grant you a wish or tell you a truth. But not both"/ I can forgive you a sin or permit you a wrong. But not both."/ "I can give you back something that you've lost, or I can remove something you wish to have exercised, but not both."/ "Once you choose, you have chosen. Once I speak. I have spoken. Choose carefully, for no matter what you choose, you will almost certainly pay more than you realize." (I recently read the wish bridge and I fell in love with this concept.) I also like the idea that there is an evil world tree, maybe planted by Aeternitas with the intention to destroy their faith, that pretends to be the real world tree and also grants wishes but always twists them for their own amusement and more often than not it leads to the demise of the traveller. Or even a domino effect that could destroy a nation. (Similar to the Cthaeh in Kingkiller Chronicles).

Siodonnians are famous for their great scholars

memory stones are mined in Siodonna and the formula to engrave memories in the gems was created by Siodonnian magicians

other things they have invented: hydraulic engineering, mass produced pottery, high-quality dye and new colours like tyrian purple

if Diana was an illegitimate princess, I'd headcanon that magenta eyes are rare and the trademark of Siodonnian royality, if she was a commoner I imagine that magenta eyes are very common in Siodonna,

Diana was part of the entourage of the princess who was meant to become part of Claude's harem but Claude fell in love with Diana instead

the princess was Diana’s childhood friend and was in love with her (she was the Felix to Claude’s Diana)

all the Siodonnian dancers were basically a peace offering given to Claude after the Siodonnian Emperor or Empress heard of the dynastic revolution that happened over there. They did not want to risk a war with Obelia.

the massacre of the Ruby Palace put a strain on the relationship of Siodonna and Obelia, the Siodonnians demanded justice for their murdered princess who had been quite popular among the common folk despite being one of dozen illegitimate children of the Emperor but the council thought it was not wise to make such a rash decision based on emotions alone. So they waited.

Athy's death was the last straw and they declared war on Obelia in Claude's moment of weakness, other countries that have been colonized rose up and joined their troops

Siodonnia has a head of a state but they also have a council that has much more power in government affairs than Obelia’s council, half of the council is chosen by the ruler, the other half is voted (they get picked from a privileged group and not everyone can vote but it is an improvement in comparision to Obelia where their monarchy rules absolute)

More thoughts on the Kingkiller Chronicles books: I keep thinking of how Elodin would have annoyed his teachers as being clever but defiant, and now he’s annoying most of his students by being brilliant but hardly explaining anything clearly.

Imagine if he gave brilliant but vague or ridiculous answers to his university lecturers. How did he get away with it?

I’m going to start using this place to dump all of my tinfoil hatting about KKC.

The University archives are not accidentally chaotic.They’re deliberately obscure to explain away the disappearance of books on certain topics that the master’s want to keep hidden.

Think about it. Kvothe describes the stacks:

Then there were the bad neighborhoods. Sections of the Archives that were forgotten, or neglected, or simply too troublesome to deal with at the moment. These were places where books were organized under old catalogs, or under no catalog at all. There were walls of shelves like mouths with missing teeth, where long-gone scrivs had cannibalized an old catalog to bring books into whatever system was fashionable at the time. Thirty years ago two entire floors had gone from good neighborhood to bad when the Larkin ledger-books were burned by a rival faction of scrivs.

Does this sound like anything that would be allowed by a man who has people like Viari searching the world for specific books? Who goes to great care to not allow anybody to even think about hurting them? Who bans students from the building rather than risk damage?

To me, it absolutely doesn’t.

Whether Lorren is a secret Amyr or not, there’s no way in hell he or his predecessors would allow the largest repository of written knowledge in the known world get this fucked up.

I fully believe this all has to do with the magic Denna mentions to Kvothe’s “magic where you write something down and it makes it true”.

They’re cultivating all the writing about stuff they want to be true and anything else is being unmade or hidden to make it less so.

How do you imagine the clothes the characters wear? I like to imagine the ffashions from the different nations and cultures to be like... different era fashions i guess? Like at one point I think it was a dress that Denna wore and Kvothe said it was Vintish or Modegan fashion (don’t remember which one) and it was really conservative with a collar going up the neck and my 10/11 yo mind conjured something a bit like a victorian dress and Denna wearing it and Denna was beautiful.

PSA:

The whole “Kvothe is Bast’s father” things need to stop.

Now.

You can keep the portion where Felurian could be his mother, but not that Kvothe is his father. Bast has a CANON father, and posts about that have been made over and over and over again. His damn title is ‘Son of REMMEN’, there is a playing card Pat had made with him ON IT, and there is no where that one of Kvothe’s other names is Remmen.

Not to mention, you would kind of think with Felurian literally having sex with mortal men until they die, there would have been mention of ‘half children’ running about possibly. He she would have mentioned something like that while she was teaching Kvothe things. But, no, there wasn’t, which leads to a pretty solid Felurian probably can either chose to bear children, can’ have children, or human biology doesn’t work with fae biology at all because of different magical standings and planes.

And I’m saying only half that ‘headcanon’ needs to stop because a ton of people who have that headcanon still fucking ship Kvothe and Bast together -- THAT’S FUCKING DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! You are saying that Bast is his son, yet still shipping them!?! What the actual hell are you thinking?! That’s inc/es/t god damn it. And I you have that ‘headcanon’ / ‘wish’ it was ‘true’, then literally unfollow me and block me because I don’t want you around me or my content. That’s disgusting.

TL;DR: the while ‘Kvothe is Bast’s dad’, needs to stop because it’s not canon for one and two half of you who have that idea ship them still and that’s in/c/e/st at that point.
