Your mind starts to wonder thoughts about your boss you never thought you have as he’s reading your mind, only teasing u more as he replies to your suggestive thoughts of him (I’m so wet for this man I CANT <33)

FLUFF+SMUT, SCARAMOUCHE BACKSTORY SPOILERS.
MINORS DO NOT INTERACT. 1.2k WORDS. Smut part long af.
'Perhaps I feel like I owe my beloved Kunikuzushi something, Which is why i gave control of the gakaden company to him, Along with his own free will. I entrust Y/N with the safety and wellbeing of my son. As they are my most prestige warrior within inazuma and in all of teyvat' -The Raiden shogun, Ei.
AMAZING ART
Scara masterlist part 2!
Tumblr media
The 5th round this evening, Your hands grew tired from holding your signature weapon. "Y-you are very skilled in the art of the sword my lord. My I ask where you were taught?" You said while trying to catch your breath in your tired state. "Taught? How amusing. as if someone could tell me what to do and how to fight? Y/n, i dont need anyones validation or blah blah-" The rest of your master's words went through one ear and out the other. Something about the shaken up and tired state he had you in gave you tremendous bliss, You we're well known to be one of the strongest warriors within teyvat, Even trained by the strongest human within the world, Il Capitano. Yet here you we're being bested by your own superior? Someone you we're ironically enlisted to by the Almighty god of thunder, Ei. To protect. It was pathetic how in every round he bested you, How as soon as you saw an opening to whisk away his katana from his grasp, he was always one step ahead, as if he was reading you like a book. The way he fought was unexpected. That is why you asked where his styles originated. "As expected, my master. A individual as great as you wouldn't need anyone else's guidance or leadership." You bowed your head as a sign of respect. Master, Scara liked that word. "Good Y/n. you know your place." He looked you up and down, observing your body as you stood up and wiped your forehead. He didn't mean to go so rough on you, But you always do ask to spar him after missions. So he did with no hesitation. "Go get yourself cleaned up or some shit and wait for me outside, Im going to get changed." He said as he left the room.
You we're reading "Flowers for Princess Fischl – Vol. I: End Time." while waiting for your superior. A young girl named amy gave it to you as a gift for helping her join the adventures guild. It was childish, but you ended up enjoying the book. Little did you know your boss was standing behind you as you waited for him at the lobby door. "The fuck is this?" He took the book from you "I- MY LORD-" You stuttered while trying to gather your thoughts. "Flowers for princess fish? Great.. So you spend your time reading fanfiction instead of being attentive as usual..." He sighed. "Hm..Now what if the enemy was inside y/n? Now im dead" your heart sunk at his sudden words. You we're well put together in a fine suit and tie similar to his. Along with a suitcase containing your signature weapon, Ready to defend your superior through anything. "I trust that you are more than capable to take care of yourself while i am not around, Master. Your strength is no match for anyone." You bowed and walked forward to the car, Holding the door open for him. "Is that so y/n?" He said while stepping into the vehicle. "Im sure your master can find other ways to show you his strength." The man whispered into your ear. You blushed and closed the door, Looking at him again while smilingly and running around to get into the car. Kuni smirked as your childish reaction. He sat next to you across the drivers seat.
The smell of his fresh cologne Filled your nose as if it was oxygen. He looked so professional and clean while flipping through your book, from the way his hair was perfectly straight to the beautiful way you could see his muscles Pearce through his suit. Even the way his tie was on is perfect, The way he would threaten to fire you immediately when you'd embarrass him in public during a mission- "Who is this, Amy person y/n?" 'Huh? How does he know about amy?' He read aloud "Dear y/n the loyal subjects of the Immernah-crick. Thank you for helping her majesty Princess fishkl. for- What the fuck is this?" You giggled under your breath at how he mispronounced the words. "Is Fuck? Your favorite word my lord?" He lightly blushed. "Thats not the Fucking- Thats not the question Y/n."
You two lightly teased and joked with eachother as the car finally pulled up. You held the door open while surveying the area and hesitantly apologized again "Im sorry lord kuni, i just got caught up while waiting for you. I wont read it again if you find Fantasy novels- Inconsiderate." "Read whatever the fuck you want, I could care less." He said as you held the door open to the penthouse lobby "and do me a favor y/n." "Yes my lord! Anything!" you said eagerly "...drop the 'my lord'. It sounds fucking weird when you say it. Keep the kuni shit." You smiled, Did this mean he was starting to trust you more? Was this all some test just to prove your worth.
SMUTT
You cheerfully followed 'kuni' into his penthouse. "My- I mean Kuni. Your place is amazing." You said while viewing his estate. All you we're instructed to do was to wait for him outside his bedroom door. Many thoughts swirled through your head, all about kuni. You just loved everything about him just from first glance, the way he'd carry himself, How independent he was, His outfit. You never worked for someone with that amount of prestige and overall leadership. Everyone was so obedient to him like a dog, even when he threatened to fire them. Threatened to fire you, The way that sent you chills was something you'd never forget. As if you could easily be replaced before he even knew your full name. You we're tapped out of your wet daze to be greeted by him. In a beautiful outfit(pov he's wearing his fatui outfit. "Hmm should i keep my hat on y/n or take it off?" He asked you. "M-my lo- I- i- mean kuni- you-" God you we're choking up on your words so hard.
"Ugh everytime I even talk to you about shit your always stuttering up y/n your acting as if this is the first time you've seen me wear my kimono." "W-well.. K-kuni.. Your chest..is out and i-" "Oh? so thats it." Kuni walked closer to you, you we're pinned against the wall" "You like what you see y/n..? Is that it?" "K-kuni please..Shouldnt we be leaving?" "I say when we fucking leave Y/n. There you go again making up your own mind. Is that any way to talk to your fucking superior?" Your body was burning up as your breath grew heavy. He whispered in your ear. "Whats wrong? I cant get closer to my pet...?"
"Say..Y/n.. Why do you work for me? Did my pathetic mother bribe you, The ever so righteous Y/N. who has trained with the strongest human in teyvat?" His beautiful violet eyes burned through yours. as if he was staring through your soul. Was this another test? You couldnt tell. Your breathing became more panicked. His body pressed against yours, the sweet smell of his perfume, His beautiful eye liner. You we're in a pure daze. The worst one you've had since you met him. "fucking say something y/n..or are my eyes putting you in another trance hm?" shit.. at this point he was reading your mind. Fuck it. "i.. I LOVE YOU KUNI. MORE THEN ANYTHING. ID PROTECT YOU WITH MY LIFE. I DONT CARE IF YOUR MOM WOULD'VE HIRED ME OR NOT..I... ALWAYS HAD FEELINGS FOR YOU!" You realized you let your heart out. When What" you've only known him for 3 weeks and you're going this fast. "...I-im..sorry..my lord. I'll just wait for you in the ca-" you we're cut off. "then prove it." 'huh?' "e-excuse me my lord?" "prove it. Prove how much you love your master~" A cord snapped in you. You kicked his bedroom door open with force, Even making him give an aroused look. you wanted this. You wanted him so bad, The way he fought you. The way he made you so happy, The way he made you so fucking horny and touch yourself after every night you'd make sure he was safe in his home. You unzipped his pants immediately and looked at his cock while licking your lips. He didn't stop you, only mocked you "fucking slut.
How long have you wanted my cock?" You didnt reply. Just the feeling of his big cock stuffing your mouth and making you gag had you on cloud 9. "f-fuck...Where did a slut like you learn how to suck a mans cock like this. Shit~ have you been passing yourself around?" "No..mph.. been savingf myselvf for you mahster~" You said with his dick still in your mouth. "Oh yeah? You saved yourself for daddy?" God that turned him on. He grabbed your hair, ran his fingers through it and forced your head down on his cock. "Just like that baby, You've been so patient already for me. I should reward you with my cum down your throat. how does that sound?" You shaked your head with vigor. Desperate for his seed. He pushed hard onto your head, Bucking his hips up and letting out a loud groan while he came down your throat. Fuck your mouth felt so warm he didnt want you to move. But you did and climbed ontop of scara, While stripping for him. "Mmm..Wanna put on a show for you Kuni~" god the way you'd say his name would always make him hard.
Especially the way he teased you in the car saying he'd show you his strength in other ways. You began grinding on his cock "F-fuck Kuni~ Your so big against me master..So big.. Your making me horny right now daddy~" "Yeah'? Making my little pet all turned on f' me? Want daddys help?" "Y-Yes kuni~ please help me." You swapped places, laying on the bed while kuni began taking his clothes off. his abs we're beautiful along with a nice scar along the side of them. He fetched through his cabinet for a bottle of lube. "Y-you have lube?" you said shocked. "Tsk. Yeah? You think i dry jerk off too you?" Just hearing that alone made you blush. He jerked off a little with it and began putting the tip inside. "oh shit kuni~" He looked so focused on making sure his cock got inside of you. watching how it would dissapear inside your warm wet hole. He moved slowly back and forth, Fucking you in a mating press. "K-kuni.." "Yes my love?" "C-can you go faster please. Wanna have you hit that spot." And that was all he needed to hear. He ruffled his hands through his hair and fucked you so hard. "K-KUNI AH~" you wrapped your legs around him "F-fuck baby dont wrap your legs round me like that- IM gonna CU-" "I dont care kuni~ please breed me. Breed me like the little pet i am. P-please kuni. Thats all I want, Wanna be yours forever."

Please don't reblog!
I had to compress/scale down this beautiful piece so much in Clip Studio to make it fit Tumblr's 20 MB demands, hnnnnnng—
Coughs in complete absolute professionalism
The first of my OCs have officially had their links posted on my pinned Master Post! This is one of them: my beautiful, beloved, and tragic Inuyasha OC Amaterasu. This is a piece of art I commissioned earlier in 2023 from the lovely ItsNattie, from whom I've been commissioning art of many kinds for over a decade now! It's a massive poster-esque piece for Amaterasu's FanFic I've been slowly working on (it's one of uh... many... I have a draftaholic problem), and, if you hadn't guessed, she's a Sesshōmaru pairing!
That said, I consider an OC's FanFic version and their RP versions to be entirely separate for the sake of exploring ✨ infinite possibilities! ✨ So, while Amaterasu is paired with Sesshōmaru in her FanFiction, that doesn't mean I'll only allow Sesshōmaru RPers to exclusively pair with her romantically. I like to leave that up to vibes. If I feel like she's got chemistry with someone, you bet your zeros and ones I'm gonna ship it!
With that out of the way, allow me a moment to wax poetic about the weight and meaning behind this gorgeous piece of art to end the post.
Ahem.
TW: Death
Amaterasu is a character who, in essence, is supposed to be the sun goddess herself—the name isn't just for show. However, through the circumstances of her story, she's been sealed in a mortal body, and much of her power is diminished throughout the series. Like everyone else, she's out for Naraku's head. However, she ends up encountering Sesshōmaru. At first, they seem as if they'll kill each other. The reason is pretty straightforward. Sesshōmaru is an Inu Daiyōkai and the Lord of the West while Amaterasu is the Head Kami and Ruler of Takamagahara. Their very existences challenge each other and, by nature, they feel an instinctive loathing of the other.
However, due to their equally calm dispositions, instead of a fight, they have an interogation a conversation instead. Sesshōmaru questions who she is, and Amaterasu does the same. Jaken gives a fussy introduction on his Lord's behalf, and Amaterasu gives her name... before promptly telling them both to turn around so she can get out of the spring she was bathing in when Sesshōmaru sniffed out her divine aura.
They end up having several more encounters with each other, but Amaterasu has far more interactions with Inuyasha's party initially. At least until Rin comes into the picture. Then, she travels strictly with Sesshōmaru under the pretense of protecting Rin from him. Over time, the two become more tolerant of one another until they start checking over their shoulder to ensure the other is still there, using each other as a leaning post at night or entrusting the other with safeguarding Rin, Jaken, and A-Un when the other leaves for one reason or another. It borders that fine line of respect and affection; Sesshōmaru is aloof and apathetic, while Amaterasu unabashedly loves life and is compassionate. She learns through him that not all yōkai are out to kill humanity, and he finds a new warmth in life with her presence. Like winter in the face of spring, they need each other to complete a cycle or, in this case, each other. By "The Final Act," they are pressing their palms together to be sure the other is okay, staring each other in the eyes and covering each other in a fight.
However, I call Amaterasu a tragic OC for a reason. In the end, once Naraku is slain, Amaterasu's seal is undone, and her mortal body slowly breaks down. Without the seal, her power returns to her in total, and its too immense to be contained in such a shell. A kami of her magnitude cannot sustain a shape on the mortal plane. With what few hours they have left, she asks to return to the place they first met—the spring surrounded by sakura trees—which Sesshōmaru indulges. Flying her there in his arms with Rin and Jaken riding his mokomoko-sama. There, she has her farewells to each of them, praising Jaken's loyalty and courage despite his stature and weakness, telling Rin that she will watch her as she becomes a lady with the utmost warmth and character, and telling Sesshōmaru that he has changed her. That she can never be the same person she was before, but she wishes that she could, if only to relive it all. Because it was the happiest time of her life.
Under the shining sunrise, Amaterasu promises that, so long as their feelings remain unchanging, she will find a way to meet him there again. Every time he feels the sun's light and traces its beams, it will be her smiling and touching his hand, praying for him to live.
Finally, as her body crumbles into glowing flowers, they share a first and last kiss... until all that's touching his lips are cherry blossoms that fall through his arms to the ground of the clearing... blooming wildly with flowers and other foliage and surrounded by onlooking wildlife.
Thus, the feudal fairy tale of two tragic loves from completely opposite realms of existence concludes in the only way it ever could.

"...smart move. Keeping true to your words is a smart move, tamawo."
Maliksi let out a sharp exhale through gritted teeth as he clenches his fists while looking at the ground, not lifting his head up to stare at the imposing dalakitnon in front of him. "Make it quick before my brother notices that I'm gone and god forbid starts looking for me."
"Impatient as ever. Do you remember that little story I told you before?"
The dalakitnons weren't always hailed as dangerously powerful before, as beings not to be dealt with...
Yes, their magic has always been far more superior than the other engkantos and that led to them toying with lives of weaker beings and mortals, not expecting them to retaliate.
There was that dark age when their kind was almost exterminated by the very humans they looked down upon and tormented.
Who would've known that humans, when working together can be an unexpected threat- especially since gods were known to favor some of them.
Humans can be strong, oh so strong- But they cannot get rid of the things that makes them human. They are too emotional, too attached to one another, too....soft.
It didn't took long for the dalakitnons to study them, discovering that they were lead by a babaylan- she was smart not to have blood related family present at that war. But not smart enough to conceal her budding feelings for one of the hunter's sister who often visited them. The way her hands brushed against hers, the way her eyes glimmered with more hope even after being beyond exhaustion, and the way she looks at her...
The remaining dalakitnons can still remember the babaylan's scream the night that they were able to lay hands on her lover- they didn't kill her right away... They poisoned her mind and heart slowly, corrupting her to the core until she was just an empty vessel, a puppet for their amusement as she grabbed her brother's blade and used it against her beloved babaylan.
Oh, the horror in that babaylan's eyes as she realized she was too weak to even think of hurting her lover just to save herself, the way her tears fell as she embraced her tight one last time and whispered how much she loves her before falling off a cliff to their deaths, not even mentioning a single one of her fault for being a victim of the dalakitnons.
Before the war ended shortly, the dalakitnons gathered to put a curse on that babaylan's bloodline- she is not to have any female descendants for 6 generations- making sure that that wretched bloodline will not live on, or at least be thinned enough to not produce someone who will be of threat to them.
The dalakitnon has always seen almost unrivaled potential from Maliksi, that's the very reason that they answered for his call when he was trying to revive his brother Makisig. And how convenient it is to make use of him right now, afterall, a debt is a debt.
"The curse we've put on that bloodline has been lifted 30 years ago, and as expected...And a female descendant has been born around that time... Remember our little deal, Maliksi?"
"Yes, but why don't I just kill her to make it easier and faster for both of us?"
The dalakitnon softly chuckled before answering,
"And keep killing every single female born out of that family for centuries until we engkantos raise suspicion once again?
We would've just curse that damned bloodline again if it was possible, but it's not!
Those damned gods favoring that wretch even after centuries!
It will only take time before some human stands up to us if we kill them, so we won't.
And don't act like it's much of a bother, all you have to do is to keep her and use her to make tamawo babies. Isn't that just your normal job? That's a win/win for both of us."
Tumblr media
Maliksi looked at his reflection in the small pond under the moonlight, steeling his resolve before taking the path that you walk at night according to the dalakitnon. It didn't take long before he spotted you walking alone. You were young, probably in your mid twenties with a small stature. He wonders if he'll be sinning against the same gods that favored your predecessor for doing what he must do.
"Binibini~" He softly called out to you with that sweet tone his Kuya Makisig uses to get any lady swoon over him.
You turned around to be met with Maliksi's golden eyes and a smile no one could ever resist.
"...yes?"
You softly answered as you get lost in those eyes and before you knew it, he was already leaning in to kiss you. The tamawo's saliva instantly kicking in like a drug and quickly putting you in a trance.
Makisig was too impatient for all that sweet talk and such that his kuya usually does. As long as a tamawo kisses a human, or any other way to get them ingest their saliva, then everything is all set up for them to take the human back to Biringan City.
Tumblr media
The moment you woke up from what seems to be days of slumber, you were already part of Maliksi and Makisig's household. You were informed of your set up, and what your agreed upon duties are.
Makisig was sweet but he never touched you nor interacted too much with you so it gave you an idea that you must've belonged to his younger brother, Maliksi.
It was weird since you were the only one who follows him around like a puppy while his brother has multiple ladies on his harem- you didn't question him though since he seems to not like it when the other ladies bother him with questions. To your surprise, he doesn't act that harsh around you. He often listened to your requests and treats you nicely and properly which often leads to the other ladies' jaws on the floor, eyes wide as plates as they question their own sanity upon seeing how calm he is around you.
Maliksi felt guilt out of anything else whenever he sees your face endearingly staring at him with those eyes. The night he found you, he made sure to put you into twilight sleep and tamper with your memories- something he will always beat himself over.
You were just an innocent human after all. A civilian caught in the crossfire. As much as he hated your kind for hurting his family, you didn't exactly do anything to harm him and his Kuya, hell if it weren't for his deal with the dalakitnon, you'll probably live a normal life until you're old...and die a normal death. Yet here you are following him around without any thoughts but to be at his side. It made him sick to his stomach how he practically erased all of your entirety- the memories of your friends, family, and even your own personality. It's as if you didn't exist before being with him.
He can never be mean to you- as much as the others may think how out of character it was to be seen holding you in his arms and making you smile, he knew that it's the least he can do for you after what he put you through-
"Maliksi?" You softly called out for him while sitting on his lap, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Yes, Y/n?" He smiled as he gently brushed your hair away from your face, tucking gently behind your ear.
"One of Maki's girls was talking about her life back at the human realm...why can't I remember mine?"
There it is- that dreaded question leaving your lips once again. And once again, he has to lie to your face.
Maliksi held your cheeks tenderly before pressing his lips against yours, "What do you mean, beautiful? Maybe it's because I give you too much kisses. You know how dangerous our kisses are, right?" he softly said in between kisses which made you giggle and just let the question slide like you always do as you wrap your arms around him while kissing him back.
"Hmm. Maybe. It's okay, though. I love your kisses, and I love you."
"I know, Y/n. I know, sweet girl."
There it is, out in the open- how you were falling for him. Completely and without any inhibitions. Not that you would know better since all you knew was him. Your world revolves around him.
Yet all he sees in you is a kind and gentle person that he's badly wronged. What he feels for you is pity above anything else.
Love? He is not someone who knows of love other than his love for his brother. That same love that brought this fate down to you. He doesn't love you or does he plan to. But he is not a monster, he will not say that to your face. What's a little lie to prevent him from hurting you more than he already has?

Ame-No-Uzume - Day 4
Race: Megami
Alignment: Light-Law
March 23rd, 2024
Tumblr media
Today's demon of the day is the heavenly dancer, the great persuader, and Shinto kami of the arts, Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto. Famous for her sensuality and love, Ame-no-Uzume is a still-worshipped and beloved figure in Japan, as well as one with a very famous myth attached- one in which she may have saved the very world.
Ame-no-Uzume serves (haha get it) as the goddess of dawn, meditation, revelry, and the arts, particularly dance. Her signature dance is that of the Kagura, a dance ritually performed to bring a shaman closer to the gods. Once strictly ritual, this dance consists of two stages, one of slow elegance that slowly transforms as the dancer becomes possessed by the kami, changing into an energetic yet unconscious trance.
This dance actually comes into play in the most famous myth involving Ame-no-Uzume, the one in which she drew the sun out of hiding. Amaterasu, goddess of the sun, had gotten into a conflict with her brother, Susano'o, which soon reached a breaking point that led to a self-imposed exile. Susano'o, likely as a result of being the god of storms, destroyed her rice fields, killed one of her star maidens, and ended up throwing a flayed horse at her loom in a fit of rage, something which only inspired spite in Amaterasu in return.
Ashamed and angry, Amaterasu went into hiding, concealing herself within the Heavenly Rock Cave called Amano-Iwato. Without the light of the sun, the world went dark, crops began to die out, and many people lost their lives due to suffering elicited by the suddenly eternal night. Desperate for a solution, the other Shinto kami tried several plans to draw Amaterasu out, though none seemed to work... until the fledgling kami of dance made herself known.
Tumblr media
Ame-no-Uzume devised a plan- she would draw Amaterasu out with, I kid you not, what was effectively a striptease. After kicking over a tub of water she began to break out into the Kagura dance, all the while beginning to strip. The scene caused the kami present to burst out in laughter, causing Amaterasu to finally peer out and see what the commotion was about. No, the fact that she came out of her cave to see another woman naked is not lost on me.
All this goes to say is that Ame-no-Uzume, in spite of being one of the less mentioned deities in Shinto folklore, is one of the most prominent- as the patron of the arts, she is frequently looked up to and worshipped by the people of Japan.
In Shin Megami Tensei, Ame-no-Uzume is a powerful support/magic focused demon with an immunity to and affinity towards wind attacks, likely representing the Kagura dance and its elegant movement like wind. Design wise, she appears mostly as a dancer, with the fans wielded by her typically used in Japanese theatre and dance and likely used to channel wind as well. I like to picture her using attacks in much the same way Kalluto Zoldyck from Hunter X Hunter uses them, channeling the wind through specific dances and movements of her fans.
Tumblr media
All in all, Ame-no-Uzume is a fantastically designed demon originating from a fascinating bit of Japanese mythology, and one of my favorites in the series. The Goddess of Lesbians gets an A+ in my book.

Comfort
Day 2 of WolVrtra Week: Comfort. Mild spoilers for 6.4.
Vrtra hummed to himself. How lucky am I? How blessed? That she, despite her own needs, is tending to mine. Providing such comfort after… He pushed thoughts on the events of the previous day behind him. We shall rescue my sister. We shall save her and bring her home.
“Almost finished, daarin. This ointment will help with the irritation, and it smells so nice.” She said, rubbing the ointment from Kugane where skin met scales. After a few minutes, she put the lid back on the container. “All done.”
At least I can see her now. Her hair in a neat bun with flowers. Her favorite sandals. The dark purple top that contrasts so beautifully with her skin and scales. Those trousers that she says are comfortable but don’t appear so. And a smile on her face. Such warmth and happiness in my beloved. “Excellent timing, my dear. Your supper should be here shortly. Until then—”
She placed the container of ointment on a table and giggled. “Until then, Vrtra love, open your claw and let me hold you.”
“As you wish, beloved.” He opened his left front claw (tis her favorite) and watched her kick off her sandals to climb into his claw. Tsubaki curled into a small ball, her lean but muscled arms hugging a talon. The same one. Always the same. “Art thou comfortable?” I know the answer. Tis the same. Always the same.
“Of course, anata. Why wouldn’t I be?” She sighed happily, her glorious and most beautiful tail wrapping around a thigh. “Tis not only comfort you provide to my heart, Vrtra. I feel safe and happy with you.” Nuzzling him, Tsubaki closed her eyes and sighed again. “Would you like me to stay tonight?”
“Tonight and every night, beloved.” A wave of panic suddenly tore through him. Nay, I should not pressure her to stay. “Only if you are—”
A slightly annoyed noise came from the small auri woman in his claw. “For Kami’s sake, I am comfortable. As if I would want to sleep anywhere else?” A small smile tugged on her lips. “Silly dragon.”
What was it Estinien hath said the other day? “Love makes fools of us all.” If loving her has made me into a fool, then I shall gladly puff out my chest in pride. “If I am silly, dear one, then what are you?”
“The silliest.” She snorted before laughing, her tail thrashing. As she laughed, he chuckled a little.
As the ointment you hath given me is a balm to my skin, so has your very being been a balm to mine, dearest Tsubaki.

You take in the beauty of the Misty Mountains. Their perfect reflection in the water. Their silent, eternal presence.
This is supposed to be the best time of your life. You have just wedded none other than Thorin Oakenshield and now you are travelling with him to the legendary Erebor. This Dwarf is not only a great king and a brave warrior, but also an honourable person. And his looks make maidens swoon. Many would do anything in order to trade places with you, become his wife — and a queen. And you would gladly take them up on their offer. If you could have it your way, you would have married someone else.
Heavy steps interrupt your musings. Quickly, you brush away a stray tear and turn towards the sound. It is him. The one you are to call “my lord husband” from now on, whether you like it or not. You close your eyes for a moment and see the smiling face of your beloved, the one you have always dreamed of addressing lovingly as your husband. Now, you never will. You will never wake up next to him and look into his cornflower eyes. You will never see how he teaches your first child to walk. You will never kiss him again nor braid his golden hair. And you will have to withstand the torture of seeing him every day — with his new wife.
“It is time we moved out, my lady wife. If the weather is good, we may arrive at the banks of Anduin tonight,” the King Under the Mountain says. His voice is like a distant rumble of a storm.
“Of course,” you nod and start walking towards the horses and your escort.
“I know you did not wish for this marriage to happen.” His words make you stop in your tracks. “And I respect that. But it is done. I would like to assure you that I will try my best to be a good husband to you.”
That word again. Husband.
“I see,” you look at the iron toe caps of your boots.
A sea of silence grows between you. You hear his voice again. It’s oddly distant, as if he stood on the opposite shore.
“I hope that in time I can earn your respect as well. Or any other feelings beyond…”
“How can you possibly think that?” you interrupt. “Can you not see I do not love you and I never will?!”
Thorin Oakenshield, your lord husband, looks at you with a furrowed brow, making you think of an ancient sculpture chiselled by an artist. Cold and soulless.
“Are you certain, my lady? Many couples like us find…”
“Can you not see? There is no ‘us’ and there never will be! I gave my heart to Fili, not you!”
The name of the king’s nephew echoes against the granite mountain slopes long after you have left Mirrormere behind.
Riding behind your husband, you never see how that very name extinguished a spark in his eyes.

Travelling to that kitsune shrine was perhaps the smartest idea you had cultivated in some time. There was a certain charm to life that now toyed with you shortly after whispering your wish to the kitsune that supposedly resided there.
The wind teased you more often, grazing your cheeks and fluttering your work to the ground with a zephyr of such mischief you had to believe that perhaps it was more than just your imagination.
You found things much easier. Loose papers and lost ink brushes seemingly materialized out of thin air along with those strangely beautiful red and yellow petals dancing beside them. And, of course, you didn’t pretend not to see the increase of foxes in the area.
Then again, maybe it was just one singular fox. You couldn’t really tell from the way it disappeared before you could properly see it.But you never failed to spot one from the corner of your eye. His pretty white coat shone so extravagantly in the moonlight of a summer’s evening, or the sunny rays of an autumnal afternoon.
“I think I’m being haunted,” you stated firmly, not taking your eyes off the notes you were currently going over.
“And what makes you think that?” Fukuzawa murmured, lifting his head up and away from the bonsai tree he was currently attending to.
“I always feel as though I’m being watched, my items keep reappearing when I lose them, and there always seem to be foxes around me.”
Your mentor thought long and hard for a moment, his eyes closed as he took in your words with care. Upon coming up with an answer, he faced you with deep thought. “Perhaps it’s due to the kitsune shrine in the area. You do visit and clean it often.”
“You think the kami there has taken a liking to me?” The idea of such things being supernatural had crossed your mind before. You didn’t pretend not to notice the number of times you had fallen asleep whilst working only to find yourself tucked into bed and safe under the covers.
The older man reached over to pat the top of your head gently. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they had. You go there at least twice a week.”
You wanted to retort against his words; But finding nothing but the truth, you resigned to the pure facts. The shrine had fulfilled your wish somehow. Life no longer felt lonely and vast. Being there brought a sort of satisfaction that only someone close to you could bring.
“Speaking of which, I believe you have to get going right about now?”
Blinking at the sun dipping towards the west wing of the library, you shot up from your spot, hurriedly stuffing your things and a couple carefully wrapped crab legs into the bag at your side.
“Then I’ll be back later tonight!” With that, Fukuzawa watched your figure disappear out the door and towards that beloved shrine of yours.
A current disturbance in the forest made the fur on Dazai’s tail stand in a growing concern. There was nothing particularly wrong with his domain this evening, but from the increasing murder of crows in the area, he could guess who was on his way.
“Dazai! So that’s where you’ve been hiding!”
The bothersome voice could have only belonged to one kami in this area of Japan and, of course, Dazai had never been a fan of the annoying tengu that only seemed to come down from his mountain domain to complain about Dazai’s shrine.
“Chuuya… To what do I owe the displeasure?” he sighed, a fluffy white ear ticking in annoyance.
“You’ve been neglecting your tasks again. Your shitty forest is invading into my mountain area. I don’t need any more humans stumbling around in the area.”
The black wings behind the redhead’s back fluttered and flailed about as he settled on a nearby branch; arms crossed and disgruntled frown appeared on his face. The small murder of crows to his left and right let out a small cacophony of eerie caws and Dazai merely blinked at his fellow kami.
“I’ve been busy, Chuuya,” he stated plainly.”
“Busy with what? Drinking sake and slacking off?”
Dazai opened his mouth only to shut it again. How could he tell this bothersome tengu about such a precious human and expect to walk away from this conversation unscathed? Thankfully, his thoughts were interrupted when he sensed a familiar presence entering the forest.
“Oi, so are you gonna-”
“Shush! They’re here!”
Dazai leaped up from his spot on the opposite branch, his tail once again swaying from side to side. Bouncing from trunk to trunk, he landed just outside of his shrine, next to the red torii that greeted you just outside his shrine.
A rustle of feathers told him that Chuuya had followed, following his line of sight to the new visitor he was receiving. For the hundreds of years Chuuya had known the kitsune spirit, he had never thought a mere human would be the thing that distracted him from his work.
And Chuuya could assume this fact just from the look on Dazai’s face as he watched the mortal being set down the wrapped crab legs and talk to the spirit of that shrine. He would have never guessed that this creature could have made a face like that.
One filled with love and genuine curiosity. The tengu was almost taken aback at the sight. There was a sincere sweetness to the way Dazai held himself. Even the forest had melted into a sort of perfect delicacy that had the trees swaying tenderly in the wind, birds twittering in the sunset’s glow, and the soft golden glow of the lanterns flickering so anxiously and impatiently.
“You’ve fallen for a human?” Chuuya crowed, shoving the kitsune against the red pole of the torii. A fierce gaze in his eyes as he waited for the man’s response.
Dazai didn’t know how else to phrase such a thing. Despite not even speaking to you once, he was utterly and desperately infatuated with you. Even the days he couldn’t visit you would be substituted with a familiar of his own going to check up on you.
So when he opened his mouth, he almost couldn’t admit such a thing to himself either. “I think so… There are too many things about them to even list, but I think I love them.”
That growing flame sparked against Chuuya’s eyes as he continued to hold Dazai against the pole. “Did you learn nothing two hundred years ago? Was I not a good enough example of how a relationship between a kami and a human could go?”
“I am not like you. You and I both know that, Chuuya.”
“You better get back to your shitty duties as a spirit or you’ll end up exactly how I did. You think I wanna be on that fucking mountain? Listen to me for once and don’t get closer to that human.”
Without waiting for Dazai’s reply, the angered tengu had disappeared into the setting sun’s darkening sky. Dazai rubbed his shoulder uneasily, thinking over Chuuya’s words with a silent grief. Make no mistake, he knew the dangers of loving a human.
But as he turned his gaze towards your figure at the shrine, smiling and conversing about your day as if he hadn’t been with you for half of it, his heart ached to see that grin directed towards himself.
How he longed to hear his name on your tongue, run his hands along your arm until his fingers intertwined beautifully with yours, or even simply learn how to kiss you in the way you would love. If loving you was his poison, he would have died from the number of toxins you graced him with.
Longing and desire could only surround and fulfill the hopes and dreams of a man, much less a kitsune, for so long. Dazai was selfish about such things. Especially when he purposefully made sure the others around you expressed a romantic interest towards you.
His tail swayed happily in remembrance of all the times he had driven off his competition to ensure only you could be his. Dazai wanted to give you the moon and all the wishes you desired, so how could he simply sit and listen to the words of a tengu whose very own love was ruined and life punished?
Yes, Dazai would have gladly taken your poison every time he invisibly greeted you at night to tuck you into bed.
Now the question of making you his was the next item on this kitsune’s agenda.

Ok listen someone on my personal asked me about mythology/folklore connections to Izuru, and the whole thing got me thinking again how the 3rd, especially Gin and Izuru have so many connections to Geisha, art, and poetry.
I’m really sleepy tho so here’s some rapid fire:
Izuru’s hairflips in his neck are a reference to geisha make up
The most famous geisha district in japan is “gion”, located in kyoto
Gin has a kyoto dialect
Kyoto has the most famous shrine dedicated to “inari”, who is a kami with foxes as their emissary.
In folklore, the inari foxes are associated with kitsune, who are supernatural foxes.
While lots of kitsune are kind, they are mostly known for being tricksters, and shape shifters. Mostly into beautiful women.
Many of the fox statues at the inari shrine have a key to grain storage in their mouth, this key is the exact same shape as wabisuke.
Inari is the patron of mercantile, grain, harvest, and entertainers.
Entertainers, like geisha. Of course poetry and art are staples of the geisha craft.
Izuru is known to be an established haiku writer.
One of the most beloved haiku of the 19th century is:
Biting into a persimmon The great bell tolls – Horyuji Temple
Persimmon is Gin’s favorite food.
The persimmon is associated, in haiku, with fall.
In the TyBw arc, Asuka’s, Riku’s, and Gori’s zanpaktou are themed after the seasons, but in a symbolic way (i.e: not just summer, but sitting under a tree on a warm summer day).
The three of them represent Spring, Summer, and Winter.
Since the persimmon is the fruit of fall, the marigold is the colors of fall, and the final harvest month is in fall (remember, inari is kami of the harvest), the 3rd division as a whole represents fall.

Kamigawa was a failed endeavor. Released in the autumn of 2004, Champions of Kamigawa promised some new things for Magic the Gathering, and the return to some old things as well. Most importantly, in my opinion, it showed that Wizards was paying attention to what fans were interested in (outside of Magic) and wanted to provide a way of relating to the fans. However, just about everything they did with the setting and game either couldn’t live up to expectations or outright failed. Here’s why I think the original Kamigawa block failed, and why I think a return would be a resounding success.
Tumblr media
This came out much longer than I’d expected, so hit the jump.
For its entire existence up until 2004, most of Magic’s settings were a hodgepodge of fantasy tropes, and the storyline had been following or tying into a single thread for years. Kamigawa was the first setting to truly be free of the ongoing Magic story. Nowadays, however, Magic is known for its settings based on real-world places and cultures. Just this past year, we’ve visited Eldraine (Arthurian Britain), Theros (ancient Greece), and Ikoria (less a real culture and more about giant monster tropes). Back in 2004, however, visiting a clearly defined theme world like this was something that hadn’t been done in a long time. In fact, it’s something the franchise traditionally shied away from. 1996’s Mirage block took place in Jamuura, a continent on Dominaria based on sub-Saharan Africa.1995’s Ice Age was set in a Viking-inspired Terisiare. (You could say that Arabian Nights and Portal Three Kingdoms also count, but those were more wholesale copies than homages.) Based on ancient Japan, Kamigawa was the first herald of a new worldbuilding philosophy for Magic, one that would see the creative team at Wizards of the Coast put their own spin on familiar cultures and mythologies, while still keeping them distinctly their own. Kind of like Disney movies.
The mechanics also promised to shake things up. While I don’t remember any of the card announcements, Kamigawa block introduced many new pieces for the game. Samurai and ninja had their own keyword abilities in bushido and ninjutsu, and most of the sorcery and instant cards dealt with arcane and spirits. Legendary had its own theme as well, with 138 unique creatures (139, if you count the other Yamazaki brother) and 39 other permanents, with a number of cards that cared about the supertype. Finally, there were flip cards, a mechanically and visually interesting way of getting more value out of those creatures and introducing a sort of sidequest to your game.
Kamigawa was gearing up to be something special in Magic. But as I said at the very beginning of this piece, it failed.
Tumblr media
The mechanics were kind of a disaster. Splice onto arcane was parasitic and to get any value out of it, you’d need to go all-in on overcosted cards. Bushido, sweep, offering, and most of the rest of the keywords were similarly underwhelming, either providing minuscule value or actively getting in the way of what you wanted to do. Putting the legendary supertype on a card is a downside when Commander doesn’t exist and singleton formats are not a popular way of playing. It doesn’t help that having too many legendary creatures in a set thend to make them feel less special, as well. Flip cards, while cool in theory, wound up being a logistical mess that didn’t add much to the enjoyment of casual games, and barely saw tournament play. All of this meant the cards didn’t really impact Standard, and Limited was a clunky ordeal more often than anyone would have liked. Following Mirrodin block, the most powerful three sets since Urza’s block, was also a tall order, and one that almost no set was equipped to fulfill.
Admittedly, while I love the card game, I absolutely adore everything else about Magic. The storyline intrigued me when I started playing during Onslaught block, and knowing that there was this vast body of lore kept me hooked. Hearing that there was a Japanese-inspired setting coming up was pure hype for someone who’d also been into anime for years and video games for years before that. The early 00s were an interesting time for entertainment, as Japanese animation had finally infiltrated American mainstream media. Pokémon had been a successful card game for years (another story for another day), and Yu-Gi-Oh had just hit the scene in America after doing well in Japan for a few years. With all this and a burgeoning internet, fans of anime, video games, and Japanese culture had certain expectations. To say Kamigawa did not meet them would be an understatement.
The general setting was based on an older Japanese culture, one which didn’t see much representation in media. Samurai, ninja, youkai, along with other popular figures and tropes were either later inventions or had a more solidified image hundreds of years after the source material took place. While I remember many Magic the Gathering fans being worried that the game would take on an anime aesthetic to capitalize on what was popular with the wider geek audience, they actually took it in the opposite direction. Instead of bright colors and bold outlines, Kamigawa was a dark and gritty place, which was made even more evident by the increasing demand for realistic detail in the art department. The kami themselves, one half of the conflict, were alien and foreign to behold. These weren’t based on images that otaku would have been familiar with, Japanese or Western, but based on much older stories that had been phased out of the public consciousness.
Tumblr media
In short, there is no “in short.” There are many reasons why it didn’t succeed, but ultimately, it came down to being something that no one really expected or wanted. Instead of taking the cheap, easy, and profitable route by leaning into anime culture, Wizards bucked the trend and used a setting that most Magic fans would not have been familiar with, forcing it to fit within the franchise. They also filled the block with parasitic mechanics that were clunky and actively detrimental to play. And yes, I’m leaving out dozens of other reasons why Kamigawa failed, but those are the main ones that I personally feel hurt the setting.
Sadly, as public-facing employees remind us constantly, Kamigawa is a very difficult sell to the higher-ups. It was one of the company’s biggest failures, and they can’t use tweets and Tumblr asks from enfranchised fans as justifications for its return. And yet, the requests still pour in. I believe that the reasons for this desire are the key to a new set based in Kamigawa.
Let’s start with the biggest one: Commander. In many ways, this format is kind of the anti-MtG. It’s a long, drawn-out process that uses decks built with your whole collection, rather than the newest releases. Cards that are awful in most other formats are amazing in Commander, and one of the biggest drawbacks a card can have - the Legendary supertype - is a major boon here. It’s also the current most popular format for old and new players alike. I think that more than anything else, Kamigawa’s legendary theme is what draws new players, as Commander enthusiasts will inevitably find some interesting cards that would never have worked well in the old days.
Tumblr media
I also think that Wizards of the Coast has learned a lot since 2004 (and whenever they started work on the original block). Remember, Kamigawa was the first of its kind: a real-world inspired setting completely separate from what the entire franchise had been doing for years. There were bound to be mistakes, and they’ve clearly learned how to rectify them. The following setting, Ravnica, used an Eastern European city aesthetic to compliment its two-color guild theme, but was still constrained by the block structure. Upon our return there, they changed the block structure to better fit what the themes and story wanted. On the other hand, Zendikar, their D&D-inspired adventure world, was beloved for its fast and fun mechanics, as well as the feeling of exploration on the cards and in the media. The return, however, involved destroying all of that in favor of an extradimensional war setting. Guilds of Ravnica and Zendikar Rising each supplied what the fans wanted out of those settings, to varying degrees of success.
Wizards also keeps showing us glimpses into Kamigawa through Core Sets and supplemental products. Tamiyo showed up on Innistrad and Ravnica. They printed new shrines (compatible with the old Honden) in Core 2021. Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow, is one of my favorite commanders of all time, and she’s from the 2018 Commander set. They still value the setting, and don’t seem to be interested in ignoring it to the point of obscurity (like, for example, Mercadia).
And, obviously, there are the rumors. With a blog name like mine, you have to have known this was coming. The three planeswalker concepts from surveys could point to anything: Commander products, supplementary sets, etc. However, I think that the web domains for Kamigawa Neon Dynasty point to a full set of some kind.
Tumblr media
Interestingly enough, the events of the original Kamigawa block take place in Magic’s very distant past, so it’s been a tantalizing prospect to see how the place might have changed in the past few thousand years. Skipping over medieval fantasy and bringing it past the present into a cyberpunk future might be an excellent way to go about it. Aesthetics from early 90’s anime could still be stylistically unique in Magic, while keeping elements from the old setting would root us to the original block. I could see the new story centering around a conflict between one faction clinging to ancient traditions and another pushing magical technology to its futuristic limits. After all, Tamiyo still dresses in old-fashioned robes and reads from scrolls, and the moonfolk were known to be almost completely isolated from everyone else. I wonder what the kami would look like, if we even saw them at all.
Ultimately, I think that Wizards is in the perfect spot to try Kamigawa again. Between their worldbuilding experience, the rise of the Commander format, and a willingness to push the aesthetics of their game in different directions, there’s a lot of reason to hope that we’ll be heading back sooner or later.
Please feel free to let me know if I missed something or got any details wrong. And please discuss what you’d like to see in a return to Kamigawa, either new stuff or old.

My Top 11 Manga’s worth Reading:
I had never been a die-hard Otaku in terms of reading Manga but because of my nerdy cousin who even has a mix tape of all his favorite Anime theme songs I came to like so much that I became a fan, I am fond of the this particular anime that’s both a mix of nostalgia & teenage years many of you might find some Manga in this list as not worthy but I would like to mention that this top 10 has impacted both my preferences in Manga & what attracts to a a certain degree and to make things clear these Manga doesn’t necessary have an Anime some of them have, but most of are:
TOP 11: Dragon Ball
Tumblr media
For me you are haven’t read or watch this iconic anime then you might had missed what is the most iconic manga’s that’s so impactful that I doubt you never saw the influence in the newest anime’s or Manga’s of today. It paved the way what Shonen Manga it is today funny, whimsical & action packed I doubt that anyone who knows this one has not yelled Ka-me-ha-me-ha!!!!! in your childhood.
Top 10: Yu Yu Hakosho / Ghost fighter
Tumblr media
If you are a fun of Hunter X Hunter then you shouldn't have missed this Gem this manga is full of surprises but if you are a fan of the author then you would also know his flaws, as he is always prone to cut his story short or have too much hiatus but hey this Manga is full of character development that even the most annoying Character is worth the read.
Top 9: Slam Dunk
Tumblr media
I don’t about you guys but this ironic may it seems but this nerdy anime made me fell in love with basketball today’s generation may compare it to Kuroko's Basketball but to me this is the original that more worth it, it doesn’t give you unrealistic skills or overpowered skills but the growth of a delinquent student re-directing his athletes-ism towards something more productive is a really worth of your time, but it’s strengths is I think it’s also weakness the character development is too much focused on each player that the flow of the story is at times too slow, but it also makes every victory wonderful & felt even at times they are losing it feels much more grounded & satisfying to see them win by every unexpected turn. It’s a bonus that it’s really really funny.
Top 8: As the God’s Will / Kami sama no iutoori
Tumblr media
If it weren’t for the ending that I still can’t get to accept this would had been one of my top 5 but nevertheless this one for me is one of the most surprising & unexpected manga that I ever read, because it’s like the author is toying with you all the characters are like chess pieces non are safe, this is a not a typical shonun manga & it’s full of lovable characters that makes you hate the author for toying with your feelings, it’s a must for those who are sick with the recycled hero type manga that’s so predictable nowadays, reading this was a journey but it feels lackluster when you reach the ending it feels like you expecting something to happen and it didn’t deliver but hey beggars cant be choosers this one is still one of the best. If you are fan of cat & mouse battle of Deathnote then this is a must read for you.
Top 7: I am A Hero
Tumblr media
Oh boy this manga is good & lame that I can’t put in anywhere reading this Manga feels like a roller coaster it has ups & downs then when you finally get to finish it you feel like that was it? I know there’s so much more, why did it end there, are you looking for a manga that doesn’t feel like you are reading but rather watching what’s happening panel by panel & it feels to realistic to some degree that it amazing to see how the creator manages to make a masterpiece like this, like the details of the background & characters feel surreal that it feels like you are watching a movie than reading a manga, there’s no anime for this manga because it’s for adult but there’s a live-action & it doesn’t disappoint I think the movie had a better ending than the manga itself, and by the way this is perfect for adults who can relate to the hero in some degree, I don’t know which part but like I said to some degree hahaha.
Top 6: Solo Leveling
Tumblr media
Oh boy, this is a manga that I love the story & the art but hates the main character, I am sure for some fan they love the overpowered overrated characters but for me it lessens the connection to the character, it feels like Dragon Ball that you loved the until Dragon Ball Z then ignores the rest because you only enjoyed the journey but became bored because you don’t feel the struggle of the character anymore, I always love an underdog story but hates it when a story becomes unrelatable well maybe most fan doesn’t have the same concerns but like I said it’s so good but it when you want something different you it falls on your expectations but hey this manga is still good, it’s more focused on the gaming experiences. Like having a character level 10 to 99 haha like I said his journey is what made me love this Anime, but the Shōjo type Main Character made me a bit off.
Top 5: Death note
Tumblr media
A manga full of moral ambiguity it makes you question your own moral ethics & somehow makes it think the definition of good and evil. Because the main character is a perfect gray character he is not a hero nor a villain, and his rival is not even the Hero or Villain, it’s a manga that makes you feel you are watching a chess match,. the bonus art is so beautifully made that it makes you clamor for more. It’s Timeless & bold.
Top 4: Naruto
Tumblr media
Ah Naruto, it makes you do the hand seals and run with your hands at your back, this manga was basically part of my teenage years until adulthood same as the beloved character, this Manga has the qualities below the list but more, you feel like Naruto is your childhood friend not a hero, because you had been through that Journey that seeing him finally achieving his goals make the sequel for me irrelevant, the Anime has made me listen to this band  Asian Kung-Fu Generation why? because my cousin made me loved their songs with his mixtapes I love this Manga all in all but the bromance of Naruto & Sasuke not so much hahaha.
Top 3: My Hero Academia
Tumblr media
Plain & simple if you love Marvel & DC comics then reading this manga will never fail you, plus if you love Dragon Ball & Naruto then I bet this manga again won’t fail you, I though Shonun Manga won’t be enticing anymore but this Manga felt like I was a still a child inside “Smash”!!!!
Top 2: One Piece
Tumblr media
Do I need to explain why? A lot of people had made a lot of theories about his Manga & never never had they made the correct theory or anticipated what happens, this Pirate Adventure is more fun than all the Pirates of the Caribbean combined I just wish that whenever they do make it’s live action it would be as diversed as the original content it’s a complete manga full of humor & adventure but when it gets serious you will get confused on why you are crying for a freaking ship..
Top 1: Gantz
Tumblr media
Hmm one of the most underrated manga’s of all time for me this is the most complete manga I ever read, it has dark humor and a very mature content it’s character are what I’ve always wanted a reluctant character that grew to a understandable hero, while the sub characters are still a must read, it’s just so weird and action packed that an anime or live action adaptations cannot replicate, it’s very original & doesn’t shy away from shining on it’s own, even the author said it himself that he can’t replicate Gantz or make more explosive than this, I tried looking for something similar but even after ending since 2013 for me no one has surface how good it was for me. Oh and bonus you get to see Angelina Jolie here hahaha.
