Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
And this gem 👇
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free, mostly teaches anatomy and how to draw people. But does have art talks and teaches the basics.)
Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard and teaches you everything)
Aaron Rutten (free, tips about art, talks about art programs and the best products for digital art)
BoroCG (free, teaches a verity of art mediums from 3D modeling to digital painting. As well as some tips that can be used across styles)
Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)
Jesus Conde (free, teaches digital painting and has classes in Spanish)
Mohammed Agbadi (free, he gives some advice in some videos and talks about art)
Ross Draws (free, he does have other classes for a good price. Mostly teaching character designs and simple backgrounds.)
SamDoesArts (free, gives good advice and critiques)
Drawfee Show (free, they do give some good advice and great inspiration)
The Art of Aaron Blaise ( useful tips for digital art and animation. Was an animator for Disney. Mostly nature art)
Bobby Chiu ( useful tips and interviews with artist who are in the industry or making a living as artist)
Sinix Design (has some tips on drawing people)
Winged canvas (art school for free on a verity of mediums)
Bob Ross (just a good time, learn how to paint, as well as how too relax when doing art. "there are no mistakes only happy accidents", this channel also provides tips from another artist)
Scott Christian Sava (Inspiration and provides tips and advice)
Pikat (art advice and critiques)
Drawbox (a suggested cheap online art school, made of a community of artist)
Skillshare (A cheap learning site that has art classes ranging from traditional to digital. As well as Animation and tutorials on art programs. All under one price, in the USA it's around $34 a month)
Human anatomy for artist (not a video or teacher but the site is full of awesome refs to practice and get better at anatomy)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Libresprite (free, for pixel art)
Drawpile (free and for if you want to draw with others)
IbisPaint (free, phone app ONLY)
Medibang (free, IPAD, Android and PC)
NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.
"also apologies for any spelling or grammar errors, I have Dyslexia and it makes my brain go XP when it comes to speech or writing"

Thought I might say hello and make some small talk, seeing that I'm camping on your trafficshipping tag and all.
Well hi! Lovely place you've got here. Fantastic art, GREAT vibes, very nice. I'm specially enjoying your character rambling; your takes on them are super interesting and they tickle my brain 👀
May I send Divorce Fource/Quartet and Majorwood for the shipping bingo? Divorce Fource were a right mess (affectionate <3) and a perfect one at that, but I can't help but wonder how the recipe would have turned out if the soul ties were Cleo-Pearl, Martyn-Scott.
Also there is so much potential in Limlife Majorwood for eroguro if you're nasty. Which I am. Time cannibalism, respawning mechanics, birthday time... blender go brrrr 👀
!!!!!!!
y'all are really enabling my habit of long ass posts huh 😭😭
OK SO first off thankyou so much?? thats so sweet?????? 😭😭 i really don't think my character ramblings are anything special, but i like reading other ppls insane takes so i thought i'd provide others with the same 👍
not to get too into it but i feel like a series like life smp is best enjoyed with your own crazy delulu takes (similar to touhou if anyone heres familiar w/ that fandom). and it makes me kinda sad to see ppl arguing abt whats 'canon' or 'correct' cus that's no fun lol
ANYWAY yeah uh im glad u like the vibes!! :J
TREEBARK
this one first cus chronology. I honestly don't know if there's anything I can say here that hasn't been said before? But yeah they're. tasty. something about martyn waiting the entirety of third life to betray ren and never getting the chance and now longing to have him back. lots of regret but regret. for what. yknow. and ren always looking out for martyn even from a distance. and then martyn losing that connection in limlife.
yeah i can see why people ship lmao
uhh i don't really know what else to write here so have some of my insane ramblings copy+pasted from my shipping doc 👍
Martyn fancies himself a schemer, someone who's not afraid to play the game the way it's intended. If that means earning a powerful ally's trust only to shatter it then he was going to do it.
Only, Martyn's bark is worse than his bite, and every night he spends in lying awake in those soft, warm sheets that Ren had laid out just for him (freshly washed too, he might add. Smelled like sunshine) he wonders if he can do it. He can, of course. (he can't. he won't. he's too soft. soft and useless.)
He'd cut his head off already. (he wants to vomit)
(this is why no one needs you. wants you. loves you)
Who cares about other people anyway? He is the only one who really matters. (the thought of being alone makes him want to cry)
Ren, on the other hand, is a capable leader. The definition of loyal and dependable, if not a bit dramatic. He struggles with self-worth, being good enough, useful enough, powerful enough. But to others, he's the opposite, caring and protective of any who would ask for his aid. After all, every citizen deserves to live in safety and comfort, and providing that is what a good King would do.
~
Martyn's not as sneaky as he thinks he is. Ren knows. Ren sees the signs. It's a death game for a reason.
But he doesn't let Martyn know. He doesn't even hold it against him. He doesn't see the bloodthirst anymore, only the broken pieces lying underneath.
~
or the King's Hand, it was the thrill of feeling Useful, Powerful, Feared (loved). He was going to miss it after he betrayed him, the high of bloodlust, the smell in the air as he charged into battle. (the way his hands held him so gently)
For the King himself, deep down he knew it was never to be. He had met a monster, but he hoped his efforts calmed the storm ever so slightly. On some days, he pretends to forget about the death game entirely and imagines the speech he'd give to retire his Hand. "You don't have to fight anymore," he'd say, "I'll take care of you from now on, I promise. So put the sword down, okay?"
But in the end, it was all a fantasy, wasn't it?
^ yes this is so cheesy but so are they.
Cry with me again
Smile with me again
Scream with me again
Sing with me again
Dance with me again
Talk to me again…
"Lower One's Eyes" (Oktavia translyrics)
MAJORWOOD
I think.. I talk too much abt scott seeing as that's who everyone points out when it comes to my headcanons 😭😭 but uh i swear everyone else is just as messed up. and martyn is like. just as bad if not worse (if that wasn't made clear from my ramblings before)
anyway uh say it with me rebound 👏 relationship 👏
i think they're both.. very numb to it all once limlife rolls around. they're just tired and have this mutual understanding and both think they're horrible people. martyn just wants to play the game. scott doesn't even know what he wants anymore.
but ofc, they're both still human and want love and comfort, so they try to seek that from one another. even if it's fake. even if it doesn't matter in the end.
Baby, though I've closed my eyes
I know who you pretend I am
I know who you pretend I am
Washing Machine Heart (Mitski)
We’re the Delusioned Victim Cash-in Union
Praise to the “love” that will bring salvation!
Two fools singing to a shallow melody
Restart, reflation, teleportation
Time and again we’re stuck in rotation
Circles inside a love without any ending
MKDR (SirHamnet Lyrics)
Scott uses Martyn as a replacement for Jimmy and Martyn uses Scott as a replacement for Ren. they know they dislike eachother (see: all of double life) and that only one of them will make it out alive. but they can't get that love and comfort from anyone else now.
also uhhh eroguro my beloved...... im assuming this is getting brought up cus of my mentions of loving eroguro in the past. and yes to all of that very much i agree. but i do have kind of.. a limit to what i do w/ these characters specifically because of the fandom/ccs (at least publicly). if i ever do decide to share the nastier stuff in my head or go into detail on gore and whatnot i'd probs make a sideblog and tuck it away and maybe block scott and martyn for always somehow showing up on my posts lmao

Oxford Female Institute
Oxford Community Arts Center
10 S. College Ave.
Oxford, OH
Oxford Female Institute is a registered historic building at High St. and College Ave. in Oxford, Ohio, listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. Chartered in 1849, the Oxford Female Institute was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, and was the first of three women's colleges established in Oxford. Its first president was John Witherspoon Scott, a member of Miami University's early faculty. The Institute’s original brick building was completed in 1850, and forms the core structure. In 1867, the Institute merged with Oxford Female College and later became the Oxford College for Women. J. W. Scott’s second daughter Caroline Scott, an Oxford Institute graduate, married Benjamin Harrison and became First Lady after his election as President of the United States in 1888.
Miami University acquired the building in 1928 and absorbed its students. In 1930 the Daughters of the American Revolution rededicated it as the "Caroline Scott Harrison Memorial." For more than sixty years, from 1929 to 1998 it served Miami as a women's dormitory, nicknamed "Ox College." The structure is the oldest extant women's college building in Ohio. It was placed with the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 1976. In 2001, Miami leased the three-story building to the Oxford Community Arts Center for the community of Oxford.

The comic book Kari Crock is coming to digital comic platforms this year.
Kari Crock is a lady crocodile working for Anvil (basically Space Amazon) delivering books, death rays, human meat and whatnot to monsters and aliens through out the galaxy. Most of whom want to eat her. Her robot bosses don't like her very much and make things difficult for her.
Issue 1 features art from Nick Cagetti, Felipe Ondera, Neal Skorpen, Amy Zing Gray, Lucas Rhossard, Tiffani Skinner, Scott W, and Maciej Skrzynski.
Nick and Felipe are back for issue 2 with Matthew James, Chelsea Rose, Kelly J. Thomas, Jade Lejeck, Amy Eloise, and Bridge of Faust.
So far issue 3 just has art from Ian Christy and Elly J. Burg, but there's a lot of art being worked on right now by a bunch of new artists to the project, as well as more returning artists.
I had exported the page files in the correct size and format last year and was ready to upload to find out that Amazon had killed Comixology Submit the week before. So I waited to see how the Comixology thing would shake out, and Amazon has more or less killed Comixology. having the new issue next to Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Oni, Archie, Boom, IDW, Dynamite, American Mythology and the rest on new comics day would have helped people find the book, but being one of millions on Kindle will make it difficult for my audience to find my book.
The plan is to fill up 4 issues with stories and then publish monthly to the Kindle, Nook and a few other digital comics platforms. I might soft launch the first issue on the Nook early, as I have several PD pulp titles there still, but last time I looked in 2015 or so, they had file size limits that made publishing comic prohibitive. I'm hoping they have fixed that since then. I have to do the research and figure out how to publish to the platform again.
P.S. Nick Cagetti, who created the look of Kari Crock when we started this in 2018, now has his awesome comic, PINK LEMONADE, at Oni Press and you should absolutely preorder/buy his comic through your favorite LCS and digitally and support his comic in every way you can.
Also I have plenty of room for more artists if you want to draw funny animal sci-fi comics. I have plenty of 1-4 page scripts that will not overtax your time. Everyone gets a share of sale based on page count, as well as a share of the big money later in the off-chance that Netflix, Funko or Dynamite throw big money at us for a cartoon series, toys or paper reprint TPBs or whatever.

Is this a video about Breadtube? Is it a reaction video to Philosophy Tube / Abigail Thorn and her video about coming out as trans? Is it a reaction video to myself? Is there such a thing as objectivity? Is there hope for joy in the wake of postmodernism? Can YouTubers really fill the role of educators? If not, can I still join in the party of making fun of conservative nonsense from Ben Shapiro and PragerU? Please?
Watch to find out!

Street Art
A captivating, huge shark mural, located in Wellington, is a grandeur that is impossible to overlook. It stretches across 50 meters in length and stands tall at 6 meters, requiring the use of cranes during the painting. Overall, it showcases 190 distinct, colourful, and animated sharks, representing the number of sharks that get killed worldwide every single minute.
Situated on the exterior of a central Wellington carpark, it stands opposite to the Museum of New Zealand Te papa. This piece of art was created during the first-ever New Zealand shark awareness week. The New Zealand shark awareness week took place from September 9 to September 15 in 2013, organised by the New Zealand Shark Alliance with the primary object of raising public awareness regarding shark finning. Surprisingly, despite nearly 100 countries and states, including Australia, America, and the EU, having already banned shark finning, it remained legal in New Zealand at that time.
BMD, the art collective that created this beautiful shark mural, has already been a history. The two Taranaki artists announced their seperation back in 2015 and revealed their identities as Damin Radford-Scott and Andrew J. Steel. The reason their chose to remain anonymous was an effort to make people focus more on their work rather than the artists.
Eventually, a positive change emerged subsequent to the mural’s inception. New Zealand implemented a ban on shark finning in 2014, a significant stride towards safeguarding these marine species. In addition, this critical regulation forbids discarding deceased sharks back into the sea.

M3: The Man in the Ant Hill
For those doing the rewatch on Diseny+, the minisode "The Man in the Ant Hill" is the first part of the 7th episode of the series which has the same title.
These episodes that are compiled out of the minsodes must be really odd to sit through for someone just trying to watch the series. You'd watch the first two and then be like, "man these episodes have a weird structure like they don't know how to plot a show."
Anyway, "The Man in the Ant Hill" introduces us to Hank Pym (Ant-man) and, more importantly, Janet Van Dyne (the Wasp), who I love on this show so much. It's such a fun portrayal of Jan, lighter and more youthful.
I also think she's a really great heroine for young girls (a lot of the superhero cartoons are geared for boys). She's very "girly" in a Buffy Summers way, small, and cute but still able to beat you up. I really wanted a Halloween costume of this version of the Wasp in my size (sadly, adult). And I'm even sadder they never made it in kid size either.
Look how cute she is:
Her boots make a W!!!
I know some people didn't like the art in this series, but I thought it was unique. It took some getting used to but the actual quality of the animation is much better than Avengers Assemble and some of the more recent shows. I don't think they show as much attention to detail.
Goons working for Ulysses Klaw (which was spelled Klaue in Black Panther) attack Ant-Man, who has been brought into a SHIELD base in Africa because SHIELD has discovered a bit of vibranium.
It's interesting to look back on this, because clearly the show doesn't expect a child to be familiar with the words "Wakanda" and "vibranium." There's a lot of build up to Black Panther showing up. I do like this portrayal of T'Challa once he actually shows up. (Wait for it.)
But it's funny how the show expects Hank Pym to be better known to kids than Black Panther. Oh, the past.
Obviously, in the Avengers movie they opted to go with Hawkeye and Black Widow to round out the cast (and actually include a girl--yuck! Cooties). This show decided to keep the original five Avengers from the comic book. The MCU kept the original villain-Loki. EMHU kept the Avengers but changed the villain.
I guess the love for Tom Hiddleston and Black Panther are two things this show did not anticipate.
Hank's first monologue is to his own tape recorder about the supposed uses of vibranium. And while today's child would think
once someone mentions vibranium, this show has Klaue come in and talk about it some more.
Hank tells him to set up an appointment with Janet. I take umbrage to this line. She's not your secretary, Hank. She's your girlfriend.
And I think that is a huge difference between the EMHU and the MCU. EMHU was determined to make Hank happen and the MCU straight bailed.
By this time, newer fans of Marvel were coming to know Hank as the Avenger that beats his wife.
It's an interesting dichotomy, by avoiding the spousal abuse element (as Feige speaks about in the above linked article) and pivoting to Scott Lang's version of Ant-man (who does show up in the EMHU, but later! Spoilers!) it actually made "the Wasp"--whether the Janet or Hope van Dyne version--less important to the films. I'd argue that Hope is a pretty bland character and Janet is better. But that's my opinion. The MCU opted to create this "new" Wasp in Hope but she doesn't have any backstory to her--literally. Janet had 60 years of stories at this point. (The other Wasp, Nadia Van Dyne wasn't created when this show aired in 2010.)
Klaw has his sonic canon in this but has not yet lost his arm. Avengers: Age of Ultron also starts with him having an arm. Many of the villains already have their comic book powers or weapons when this story starts. Klaw gets more storytime because the show uses him to introduce Black Panther. (Again more on that later!)
Hank shrinks everyone down. Klaw is like "oh my gott we are tiny" (I am not sure what this accent is supposed to be).
Janet only shows up at the very end after all the fighting has happened. She flies in worried about Hank but he's doing science and tells her to make sure the guys he beat up aren't eaten by the ants.
Janet makes a funny "ew" face because she's adorable instead of telling him off for asking her to do his dirty work. This dynamic shall continue for some time. And eventually lead younger me to write a fanfiction where Janet ditches Hank for the Hulk.
Rating: Eh, if you're interested.

My media this week (22-28 Oct 2023)
📚 STUFF I READ 📚
🙂 The Golden Spoon (Jessa Maxwell, author; full voice cast narration) - a perfectly cromulent book: totally predictable to anyone who's read more than 1 mystery but still entertaining in both characters and plot. Gerald, my autistic king, you were definitely my fave. [I did like the idea of having a different voice narrator for each character, since the chapter POVs switch, but the narrator for Stella sounded like the Tiktok automated voice about 90% of the time. I could tell I was going to get annoyed with that & with the way audio draws things out when I can read text so much faster and it became clear the plot was going to be so predictable, so I switched over to reading text ~35%.]
🙂 The Sleeping Beauty Curse (who_la_hoop) - 152K, drarry, accidental soulbond
😍 i come back to the place you are (pizzabones) - 211K, steddie canon-divergent post s4, extremely satisfying slow burn, loved the dual POV structure with eddie in a coma for the first 10 months the fic covers
💖💖 +79K of shorter fic so shout out to these I really loved 💖💖
soldier keep on marching on (waiting on that morning sun) (songofswiftsunrise) - LOTR: gen, 4k - lovely 'Boromir Lives' AU, inspired by emily martin's incredible art
Pursued by Bear (Zenaidamacrouras1) - MCU: shrunkyclunks, 19K - reread, forever fave, inspired by that tweet about the UFC & Shakespeare conventions occurring in the same hotel
A Tricky Bit of Spellwork (AidaRonan) - OFMD: gen, 1K - legit the only way I'll accept Izzy not being dead is this
Ready for Love (idiopathicsmile) - Singin' in the Rain: Cosmo/Don/Kathy, 13K - the Singin' in the Rain OT3 fic I didn't know I needed
