#It was mostly Allah's protection

important ! In recent years especially this year I’ve noticed a lot that the internet language picked up so many Islamic phrases and, from a muslim perspective, it makes the internet a little more welcoming. the thing is, a lot of the time with Islamic phrases you have to be careful about when and where to say them they hold their own weight and demand their own respect so here is a list explaining each phrase and some notes about it.
In sha allah
It means “ If God wills “. It’s mostly a response that can mean yes or no. If someone asks you to do something you can say in sha allah as in “ I heard you and I’ll try to do itc but I can’t claim that It will happen “ . Muslims say it because we’re unaware of what future holds it’s actually blasphemous to claim to know the future, so saying so means “ If it’s the will of god it will happen if not it won’t “ and you’d also say it about future events.
Ma sha allah
It means “ this is what god intended “ and it’s a compliment. Saying so is like saying WOW! But it’s also kind of a prayer of protection? If I see someone with pretty hair I should say “ Ma sha allah your hair is very pretty “ the ma sha allah protects the person from the evil eye. By saying that I’m also saying I’m not jealous I’m genuinely enamored and I don’t wish any harm to go to it.
Astagfurullah
it means “ to god I repent “ or “ from god I seek forgiveness” it’s usually used when you make a mistake but people also use it when they see something bad or when they want to avoid saying something bad. Like once my card refused to work and I’d say that so I won’t say any curse words and to calm down my anger
wallah/wallahi
okay this one is important. This one shouldn’t be used so lightly. It means “ by god’s name “ and it’s basically swearing in Allah’s name. You are only supposed to say it if you genuinely mean what you’re saying. It’s such a heavy word that I only say it very rarely and if you say it and don’t follow up on what you said you have to fast for three days as repentance.
ya allah
ya is an addressing word? Like talking to someone or calling them? Like saying O’ ( someone ) so ya allah means O’ god
Al hamdullilah // hamdullilah
it means ‘ praise/thanks to god ‘ said when something good happens or when you feel relieved about something— for example, my shirt is stained badly and I’m worried it won’t clean well. I clean it and the stain is gone so I say “ al hamdullilah “ kind of like phew!. Sometimes people say it as an answer when they’re asked how they are it can either mean things are good or bad but we preserve .
One more note is that with the name of Allah you should also be careful it’s not supposed to be written on papers that’ll get stepped on or lightly used in art because it also has its own weight it’s regarded heavily. Like even in home decorations it should be elevated and not overshadowed. If I have to throw away a paper I have to sit down and color over the name of Allah or burn the papers so it won’t get thrown in trash.
another note is that those phrases aren’t Muslim exclusive. Some Arab non-Muslims use them as well. This is only my explanation from a Muslim perspective.
Another another note is this is what I can remember at the moment but if you have additions or enquiries let me know

tips for writing muslim characters
except im a muslim, born and raised
dont mix it up with arab characters, yes a muslim can be arab and muslim but theres a difference. the link to my post abt writing arabs is here
first and foremost, not all muslims are arabs, and not all arabs are muslims. yes, most terminology and the holy book is in arabic, but that doesnt mean its exclusively arabs
indonesia (not an arab country) has the highest population of muslims worldwide
the arab country with the most christians is egypt, but the arab country with the highest population of christians is lebanon
not all practicing muslim women wear hijab (some extremely religious women might not wear a hijab)
five prayers a day: fajr (before sunrise), zuhr (midday), asr (afternoon), maghreb/maghrib (sunset), ishaa (nighttime)
call to prayer is known as 'azan', you can listen to it on youtube
muslims use the lunar calendar (known as the hijri calendar), which also has 12 months but its around two weeks shorter than the gregorian calendar. most people only remember the ninth month: ramadan
fasting consists of not eating/drinking from fajr until maghrib. you stop as soon as the azan for fajr sounds, and you can start again as soon as the azan for maghrib sounds. you fast for the entire month of ramadan, but its also encouraged to fast on mondays, thursdays, and the 14th/15th/16th days of each month of the hijri calendar
allah isnt the name of god. allah is the arabic word for 'god'
women dont have to cover up completely until puberty, athough some girls cover up before then and other women dont cover up at all
women can be religious and not cover up
the word 'hijab' doesnt show up in the quran, its 'khimar'. hijab is to cover up completely, not just hair. you cant wear a headscarf with a short sleeved shirt
men have to cover up too. from their navel to their knees absolutely has to be covered up, and (in most islamic cultures, not necessarily exactly religious) they cover up their chests as well
also men are told to avert their gazes from women more than women are told to cover up. youd find a lot of men in muslim countries not looking up from the floor when walking, especially in areas w a lot of women
kids by the age of eight can usually recite at least four chapters from the quran (the first one and the last three, mostly. it doesnt matter if theyre not arab)
if you want to use verses from the quran for whatever reason, i recommend quran.com
theres only one version of the quran. the same copy thats existed for 1400 years and millions of people have memorized it
on that note, people who memorize the quran are called hafiz, and there isnt a particular age. theres a three year old hafiz and a woman who didnt memorize it until age eighty three
there are two different sources for islamic law: the quran (holy book), and hadith (quotes of the prophet). dua' is completely different, its a prayer used to ask help from god, but unlike the five prayers, it doesnt really require a specific ritual. you just sit, face the direction of mecca, and say the dua'
superstitions are haram, but muslims do believe in black magic (its sihr in arabic and its one of the biggest sins) and djinn (there are djinn muslims but theyre widely regarded somewhat like monsters who encourage/help you to do black magic)
allahu akbar means "god is greater" or "god is the greatest". it isnt used as a signal to blow people up, and it isnt a term used purely by islam extremists
assalamu aleikum / waaleikum assalam mean, respectively, "peace be upon you" and "and peace be upon you too" basically just our way of just saying "hi" along with the reply
subhanallah means "glory be to god" usually when witnessing a miracle or when amazed
mashaallah - there arent any exact english equivalents but it means "what god wills". usually for compliments or to protect someone from evil eye
insha'allah - simply "god willing" but we use this when talking about the future (like "will you come to school?" "insha'allah" or "we'll get the gift, right?" "insha'allah"). can be replaced by the lesser used "bi'ithn illah"
alhamdu lillah - "praise be to god" or "thanks be to god. used in the way you might imagine, but also as a way to express that youre doing fine. "how are you doing today, sister?" "alhamdu lillah" (also when finishing a meal / finishing drinking water)
astaghfir ullah - "i seek forgiveness from god" whenever we see someone do something haram or when we ourselves do something haram and wish to repent
bismillah - "in the name of god" we use this whenever we begin something. a lot of arab literature starts with this. every chapter im the quran starts with this. every meal starts with saying this before eating
you can submit asks if you have any questions, but try to be a lil specific !!
feel free to rb with more info :)

I can’t speak about Sudan because it hurts me beyond words. The genocide actively ongoing, millions displaced, women raped and not able to find contraceptive pills to protect them from ANTICIPATED RAPISTS, all done by people who claim to be Muslims too but Islam is free from them. Please don’t forget them in your prayers and your donations. I go weeks without hearing about my dad and sometimes it is mostly network cuts but I fear the day I receive a bad news and I’m so, so far away.
May Allaah protect Sudan. May Allaah disable the hands of Mohamed bin Zayid and all the UAE officials who are funding the RSF against the civilians. May Allaah torment Hemediti and show us on him His signs of wrath. We will all get our rights back on the day of Judgement but ya Allah this injustice is unbearable so lighten up on my people and free for us Sudan.

Note here so people see it: If you send me an ask and I don’t reply it means tumblr deleted it before I got to answer. It keeps happening I’m sorry I’m not ignoring you. Unless it’s a racist ask then I’m totally ignoring you.
Pinned post with a presentation and the meaning of some words and expression I might use.
Starting with posts I suggest you.
List of some of the victims of police violence in France (not updated since I posted it)
Ressources about Western Sahara
Ressources about French colonialism in Algeria
Algerian movies and movies about Algeria or Algerians (the original post and the first reblog has Algerian movies only, the third one has French movies too as well as documentaries and I cannot vouch for all of them some are… well they are what they are)
Things for which the French blame Muslims
Me:
Siham/Sissa, 29, Algerian and very proud of it (born and raised in France also have the French citizenship but France keep telling me I’m not French and Algeria keep telling me I’m a daughter of our land so the choice was made for me).
Firm believer of the right to self determination and the right to resist colonialism in any way. So if you don’t stand with Palestine and Western Sahara you’re not my ally.
I don’t want you to pretend to support us under my posts if you’re not willing to give that same support to Palestinians and Sahrawi people. Your fake support meant to make yourself look and feel good is not needed and certainly not wanted.
There’s no such thing as a neutral or innocent colonizer/settler. If you believe they exist you’re not my ally.
You can ask questions I will try to answer the best I can that being said I’m not here to coddle you if I feel like insulting you because you’re being a racist piece of shit I will insult you. I don’t believe in “being mean with racists only prove them right” bitches already refuse to see us as humans my fuck you won’t change anything.
I’m also a feminist (screw white feminism).
Homophobes and transphobes can go choke on their own hatred their “ally ship” is not wanted either under my posts.
Some definitions:
Shahid (plural shouhada): it’s supposed to mean martyr in a religious sense BUT in Algeria we use it for freedom fighters who were killed as well as those who fought and died during the war because they were sick or wounded regardless of their religion. Frantz Fanon for example is considered to be a Shahid and as such is buried in the Shouhada square of the cemetery.
Moudjahid (plural moudjahidine): again it’s supposed to be a religious term to designate people who fight to protect Islam but in Algeria we use it for all freedom fighters who fought for the independence. Maurice Audin was not Muslim but he is considered to be a Moudjahid.
Allah yarham *…*: It means “May God have mercy on *…*. It’s the proper thing to say when talking about a Muslim who died. I will use it mostly when talking about the Shouhada here but that’s something you’re supposed to say for all Muslims who died.
Tahiya Al djazair (horra): Long live to (a free) Algeria. The horra is optional.
Pied noir: A European settler in Algeria and ONLY in Algeria

Rabbi Leo Dee: Ordinary Palestinians silently thank Allah for the Jenin operation
When Lucy, Maia and Rina were suddenly and brutally taken from this world during Pesach, I cried in pain. Not against every Arab, not against every Muslim, but against every terrorist.
I have Palestinian friends and acquaintances. That is the norm when you live in Efrat. Indeed it is the norm when you live in any location in Judea and Samaria (unaffectionately known as the “West Bank”).
Our local Rami Levi (read “Tesco”) is located in Area C and I select my tomatoes and cucumbers standing next to Palestinian men and women who live in Bethlehem and Hebron. Unsurprisingly, most of these people are just like you and me. Many of them work in construction in Jerusalem or Beit Shemesh and earn more than twice what a Palestinian Authority employee (even a doctor) would earn in their own territory. This is the majority.
And then there are terrorists. They are not like you and me. They were mostly brought up in UNRWA run “refugee” towns and trained in terrorist skills during summer camps and fed hatred through Palestinian Authority textbooks that glorify past murderers of innocent civilians. That UNRWA even considers them refugees after 75 years is a direct result of United Nations antisemitism. Nobody, today, considers the millions of descendants of those 700,000 Jews expelled from Arab countries in the 1940’s and 1950’s as refugees.
What most people are unaware of is how the “good” Palestinians hate the terrorists. They despise them. However, they live in fear, in a terror state, the Palestinian Authority (PA). And the PA is funded by world governments to rule over the ten cities in the region and much of the land in between. The citizens of those 10 cities would prefer to run themselves under the protection of the IDF, but the presence of the PLO (the heavily armed PA army) is ubiquitous and feared. They unanimously describe the murderers of my family as “inhuman” and “not believing in Allah” when they see me. But only in private. A public statement would likely lead to them, and their families, being shot at in the street. And such shootings occur every day. These “good” Palestinians are the silent victims of PA terror.
Jenin has become a centre for such terror and the IDF is wise and brave to enter and eliminate it. The “good” Palestinians silently thank Allah for the operation, but they have little hope as the international funding of this terror state, which has no human rights (according to Freedom House 2023 data) and grants no freedom of speech, religion or right to vote, goes on and on.
When will the world wake up and realise that funding failed terror states is a crime against humanity? It is a crime against the Israeli victims and survivors, such as my family, and so many more, and against my two million Palestinian neighbours who just want to buy their tomatoes and cucumbers and live with us in Shalom.

As a Muslim I like to think the platonic yandere Peter B Parker family would be super chill with me being a Muslim. They'd definitely protect me from any hateful people and I'd have so much fun teaching mayday phrases like inshallah and alhamdulilah. Since I'm learning Arabic I'd try to teach mayday some Arabic too, actually I can see the entire family wanting to learn Arabic alongside me lol
See, this is what I was talking about!
Tumblr media
Look I'm going to keep it 100 with you, they would totally be super chill about it.
Peter and MJ are going to learn Arabic before Mayday. She's not talking yet but they want to be able to have their kids comfortable. Besides, they already started learning when you started staying over so it would be easier while you stayed indefinitely. Mayday is going to speak Arabic and English in the same sentence like she's speaking Spanglish. Once Peter and MJ got the rhythm of it they'll speak it in the house more often and correct on another before trying to say it to you.
When you meet Miles he greets you with, "Allah." Thinking it meant hello. Peter smacked him upside the head and corrected him. You take his apology but he says it might be better if he just doesn't learn the language because he's trying to learn Spanish and it is very slow progress, he can and will mess it up. But he promises to learn after he's got Spanish. You're going to wait until Miguel is done hounding him.
The very first time they see you pray they ask what you're doing and when you explain it they get you a mat and beads the very same day. You didn't bring those things to not intrude and they tell you it's better if you have your own set there. And if they're around and have the time they'll join you.
Any and all pork is thrown out of the house after they see a thing online about it. Peter silently cries about it but then he thinks about how happy you would be at him and then he's on cloud nine.
The chances of them killing someone is dramatically higher. As I said in the last post racism is one of the things that most get under their skin, and Americans just loves to let Muslims know how they feel. The kill count is hard to say but I can promise you it's at the very least it's higher than the ones that made you cry. In the moment they mostly skip passive aggressive and go straight to threats. If you're with MJ she asks them to say it again and they do she will punch them right then and there. If you're with Peter he will kick them out of where ever you are. They'll be at Target with a cart full of stuff and he'll say he'll be right back before ushering them out of the store making his grip tighter than needed, he'll always say it's justified.
All in all you are still their kid and you need to adjust to your kids, especially for things important to them. Their still the overly doting parents they will always be.

Assalam alaikum sister,
I wanted to share a concern that I have for all those beautiful and innocent sisters that I see online... I wish I could tell them that their blog (unless it's on private) and the internet cannot be their safe place.
They (we) do not know who is reading, watching and drawing conclusions. In public places, we can usually see who is watching us... but the internet is a public place where we can be seen without knowing who is watching and how.
As muslim women we try hard to protect ourselves from the male gaze... So we have so much we wish to share and social media seems to be the perfect outlet.
We think we are safe because we are mostly anonymous (like here on tumblr) so we share our deepest feelings and thoughts, pics (even blurred) or private moments. But our hearts are soft and in spite of a semi anonymity we create ties with others... some are males. But it feels safe because it's "only the internet" and yet... it's still reality. Am I right to think this is dangerous?
When I see guys (even muslim) lurking on posts by muslimah bloggers : I worry for my sisters. I know it's not my business so I stay quiet... But my conscience is bothering me, that's why I'm writing to you.
May Allah keep all our sisters' heart safe.
(This is a reminder for me too. May Allah forgive me.)
Assalamualaikum beautiful soul 🤍
This ask really touched me because I share the same feelings regarding this topic. Sübhanallah. You are right, the illusion of anonymity that tumblr provides is tricky. I am not going to say much further because your ask is already straight to the point. I pray that Allah swt protects the hearts and the conscious of Muslims everywhere, and help us learn how to respect Allah's boundaries and never cross them, ameen.
The only thing I felt like I wouldn't agree with much is about " sharing our feelings ".. as I am a firm believer in the power of sharing, and healing thru sharing, usually, if I am writing a tumblr post about something personal that happened to me it is basically because I think maybe another sister could learn something from it, or if someone is going through the same thing she wouldn't feel alone in her struggles.. (anyways that's not the point now)
Now, back to our topic, I hope one day we reach a level of consciousness and awareness where my sisters in Islam and sisters in Humanity would see their worth and not give worthless people or random people access to their lives. I hope we reach a stage where a girl's heart is only and primarily attached to her Lord. May Allah swt protect His female slaves from the Shayateen of ins and jinn. Ameen.
Jazaki Allahu kulla Khayr for bringing this up! I hope it reaches so many girls, at least here in the muslim community on Tumblr! May Allah swt keep you steadfast on His path and fill your heart with taqwa my dear. Ameen.
- A. Z. 🍃

When I was a kid I used to insert myself in literally every media I watch read consume. Like I created an oc in my mind and make them fit somewhere in there without breaking original story. Or myself like wish I was a superhero type. Normal things we all did I think.
But also as a kid I was extremely religious. Like the moment I knew myself I was religious and I was so sincere about it.
I believed in Allah and loved Allah with my whole heart and memorise every prophets story in Qur'an, and also memorize Suras as summertime hobbies and God I loved fasting and Being hijabi when I was a little more older was my own voluntary choice and I loved it so much too. It was never hard for me or it was never for my parents or society I genuinely believed voluntarily and I loved it.
And now when I was inserting myself to this stories there was like one rare thing that make me sad about me being religious. And it was that I don't fit in. I want to so much think myself as a mutant for example but cmon how I could fit in there. Like I need to pray but superheroing have no time praying or tight clothes are haram or how the other characters see me weird and hate me probably etc.
Theennnn I am seeing Faiza Hussain I think. She was the first Muslim character I saw I'm comics and I was like so so happy obsessed. I read her but I don't remember them now but I loved her. Like she was kinda modern type of Muslim but I thought she was still yeah good.
Theeeeen I saw Dust a niqabi girl (I was not niqabi but so many people in my family were so it's something familiar and close to me). And she was praying. And she was readin Qur'an. And she was giving attention to Islamic rules. And she was doing fine mostly. Surge was yeah bad at first but I also loved it too because it was realistic. Or Rockslide helping her to hide herself when she have her hair open etc. Like it was good things it was bad thing but close to real.
And I loved it I literally protected myself into her. If she can then I can too without giving what I believe can still live the life I want be part of things I want.
Anyways I don't know why I did write this actually I think it was about Muslim characters and me and also me wanting characters that written realistically instead of idilistic wonderful lives with full of acceptance. Like yeah write a trans hijabi girl I was one for a while but it's more complex you can't just make them like your average character but just wear hijab it's more more complex then that. It doesn't feel like something to care about as representation. But you know this is probably extremely personal preference.
And last thing I am not Muslim anymore like for years ago I left it. I don't believe even supernatural now. But still I am very culturally Muslim even when I am not realising it. And people I love is Muslim. I have trauma but I don't have problems with positive sides of religion or people finding happiness on it.
So yeah it makes me happy good Muslim representation and also because of this I want ex-muslim religious trauma suffering characters without being Islamaphobic. But also without being extremely woobified. Like not a perfect wonderful minority. Because Muslims not even minority in most of places and so so so flawed people but also not Devils with objectively bad religion. Your average Muslim is literally same as your average Christian. In fact same as your average Buddhist or Jewish too. I knew it because I met this people and we are literally same when it's not about our religions. Yeah flawed human characters.
I usually have no problems here oversharing and putting cringe nonsense etc. but this feels embarrassing I think because it is too personal?? I just wanted to write something about Muslim characters in comics. Anyways I want diverse and realistic many dimensional religious people not only Muslims but other religions too.

Guys ik I'm on ana side of tumblr and have been for a while. But I used to really be on with minecraft and stuff, mostly because of my siblings and friends. It really kept me connected and entertained during some rough parts of quarantine. It also distracted me during hard fasts and etc.
I watched DSMP, which has changed a lot since i last really was involved a year ago. Most of people and audience have changed too.
Technoblade never dies and its so strange to think there won't be another battle or another joke or potato farm.
I don't believe he was Muslim but, out of respect
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
May Allah protect him and keep him from further pain
I know the DSMP and minecrafters are a group people make fun of often, I do as well. However, he was one of the most positive inflexible in the community and really did the best he could with every card he was dealt. I wish the best to his family.

InsyaAllah.

Do you have a favorite passage of the Quran?
i dont have favorite passages as much as i have favorite ayat (verses)
so, surely with hardship comes ease.
Surely with ˹that˺ hardship comes ˹more˺ ease
these two verses from 94:5-6 has helped me calm down more than you can imagine. i cant explain the calming effect that remembering these two has on me.
do not let their words grieve you.
as someone who got bullied, 10:65 helped a lot.
Allah is the Guardian of the believers—He brings them out of darkness and into light.
this is 2:257 and also rlly comforted me
then this one is kinda different:
and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see.
(side note: the "we" here is the royal we, just in case thats confusing lol)
this is a verse that protected muhammad pbuh from being killed when he was fleeing mecca, and it has protected me from my parents. whenever i notice my parents starting to get angry and i get scared, i just whisper this verse (but in arabic – this is the pronunciation if anyone at all wants it) and they always, always get distracted. either my brothers start fighting and my mom has to attend to them, or my dad gets a phone call from work, i swear it works (for me at least). its become my mantra atp <3
oh and theres one more; the entire surah (chapter) of ad-duha (the morning hours). this ones a long story
abt a year ago (back when i was at the lowest point of my life, sh'ing, having regular panic attacks at school) i dreamt of being in a cave, and there was an old man with a long white beard wearing a thobe next to me, but he was focused on something and mumbling to himself. i focused and i saw he was compiling the quran into a book, and i looked in front of me and i saw scattered pages of the quran. i started compiling it with him, but it kinda compiled itself and then flipped open to a random page, which was open to ad-duha
for reference, ad-duha is short, so this is what it looked like:
Tumblr media
its that big block in the middle, it fits comfortably on a single page with room for other chapters above and below.
so i told this dream to my moms friend whos good at interpreting dreams, and she told me to read the surah. so i did.
this surah came down on the prophet pbuh in a low point in his life when he thought he was abandoned by god bc he hadnt received any messages from the angel gabriel in over six months. in this short 11-verse chapter, here are a few of the verses:
Your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful ˹of you˺. (verse 3)
And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one. (verse 4)
And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased. (verse 5)
Did He not find you unguided then guided you? (verse 7)
i cannot explain the feeling i got when i read these verses. i cannot properly formulate into words the effect that reading this had on me.
keep in mind, this surah is taught to us as children bc its short. ages 8 and below. i had memorized this long ago but i never really focused on the words? cause its classical arabic, which is largely different from my dialect of arabic, so mostly i know the words but not their meanings iykwim. like i know the word "qala" but i dont know what it means.
so i dont think it was my mind grasping for things of comfort in order to make me feel better; i didnt know that this surah was meant to be reassuring until after the dream.
to this day, i read it whenever i feel kinda low<3

7 Ramadan
which is couple days ago but i was so lazy to write down my thoughts until now...
Tumblr media
Men of dīn are so attractive, mashaAllah. The reflection of His Beauty. May one of them be written to be alongside me, building a family and life with me, my qawwam, the reflection of His Love in this dunya until akhirah. May I be guided to prepare myself to be deserving of a man of dīn. Allahumma amīn.
Ya Jami', unite me with the best servant of yours for me, and make it khayr & barakah for both of us. Make it easy for him to reach me, and make my heart recognize him with certainty from You when he's here.
Just now after tahajjud, I just have a spark of thought randomly. More like having a new mindset & principle; which as usual, still open to further refinement (not sure if this pattern is right cuz in many fundamental things in life, i should already knew what is right and wrong attitude and conduct to subscribe to).
Looking for a spouse is much like looking for a job; only that it's more serious and intimate.
I don't believe in work-life balance. If we're going to work 9-5 for 5 days a week, or more, a huge part of our life would be for work. Work is a part of life. So, what kind of life we want to have needs to be reflected in our works, at least fundamentally and essentially if not entirely perfectly.
Our work is a part of our ibadah. To some, it's even fardh kifayah. And once we take up the responsibility, it's fardh ayn for each one of us. The sustenance we gain from the job will be used for our day to day life. It's incumbent upon us to make sure it remains halal & barakah. So yeah, I don't believe in work-life balance. I believe in work as a part of life.
So are spouse and marriage. More so.
Tumblr media
Women; second class citizens. Even my shoes got oppressed by men's shoes!
Just like the working world out there mostly favour the masculine way of operating hence women will have a more extensive criteria to weight in order to protect herself and well-being,
i think it's time that i no longer be reckless with my feelings and emotions, just because i have the desire to experience romantic love, when my imagination will at most take up 5% of the reality of marriage. 95% will be commitments and responsibilities.
Memilih pun, memilih lah. With full pride. With full trust that He will provide.
(i dont remember how i reach to this subsequent paragraph cuz the train of thought was so random so i just jot down in draft while i was thinking...)
It's easier for a man to lead his woman than a woman to influence her man. As the popular belief goes; men don't change for a woman. He changes when he wants to for himself. Women, on the other hand, are looking to be led and to be submissive. I think i will make a very happily submissive wife cuz that's a love language from me to trust him to lead, but he needs to make it easy for me to submit.
Submission to a human being is supposed to be harder than the submission to Allah. But what usually happens is the other way around; and it only happens when we don't fully submit to Allah. But if we had experienced, at least once, at least a brief moment of serenity of submitting to Allah, then submitting to a man of dīn will be easier, because we recognize the reflection of dīn and his submission to Allah in him. Hence, a wife submitting to a man of dīn is just a woman submitting to her Allah.
Just ask every woman in this world, who would not want to submit and be led? Even a feminist; why would they become so loud of their rights if not because they want to feel safe and protected. That's the core of it.
And if a woman takes her dīn seriously, she knows that the ultimate safety and protection is in her Allah and His dīn. Human beings are flawed and imperfect, but what makes them nearly so is the dīn attached to them.
If women wants to feel safe and protected, then men should understand that their submission to Allah and His dīn is the source of strength that they need to be able to lead. He cannot provide sustenance if he does not have full trust on His sustenance. And so on.
It's not just a mere slogan; that when both submit to Allah, they are closer and stronger. Because most of the time, if they don't submit to Him, they will take a different master in His place; usually their own self; whatever aspect of themselves including misguided feelings and emotions (ouch!) or ego.
Men (and women) of dīn are so attractive, so beautiful not because they are, but because the reflection of His Beauty. May Allah guide me to be one and consistently so. May Allah bless me with the rizq of a man of dīn I feel safe and secure to submit to.
Once you experience submission to Him, you want nothing else; not just directly with Him, but to reflect it in everything.
I really want to get married, ya Allah. I'm yet to reflect more on this desire of mine, so that i only desire right things.
This evening i had a long catch up session with Epa after months. Told her i already gave up looking and just waiting. She said,
(though cliche but i agree), "Selalu bila kita dah give up tu lah, tak lama lepas tu Allah bagi. Usaha untuk jodoh ni bukan dengan mencari je Shirin. Cari lah macam mana pun, kalau belum masanya, belum jugak. Kau hanya dapat penat je. Bila kau dah give up dengan manusia, it's time that kau punya usaha take up a different form; which is usaha baiki diri sendiri. Dan doa. InshaAllah ada tu."
Allahumma amin.
I dont mind when, where and who. But i trust Him to provide, and i will be satisfied.

Do not cry in the bathroom!!
Most of the people have this dangerous habit. Whenever they feel upset or depressed or distress they run over to the bathroom to cry (utmost people think it brings peace to them once they spend their time in bathroom by crying, in fact, it might bring them because of arbitrary they found peace in doing it).
“Verily, he [Shaytaan] and Qabeeluhu (his soldiers from the jinn or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them.” [lal-Araaf 7:27] Anyways, do you know mostly where does the Jinn resides?
They live mostly in the bathrooms. Most of the people know this and still, they forget or neglect this, that the Jinn can harm or live in us. Do you know that being distress in the bathroom is the best way to make the Jinn able to harm you? So I suggest if you ever feel sorrow or feel like crying then rather than going into the bathroom just do Wudhu and offer 2 Rakah salah and cry in front of Allah! Subhanallah how immense feeling it will be. Don’t forget to follow this Sunnah while going to bathroom it will help us from Shayateen.
The Prophet Muhammad saw has told us what we should do so that Allah will protect us from the evil of the shayaateen when we enter the toilet. That is that before entering the place, the Muslim should say,
“Bismillaah, Allaahumma inni a’oodhu bika min al-khubthi wa’l-khabaa’ith
(In the name of Allah, O Allah, I seek refuge with You from evil and from the male and female devils)” Al-Tirmidhi (no. 606) Narrated from ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah PBUH
“A screen will be placed between the eyes of the jinn and the ‘awrah of the sons of Adam when one of them enters the toilet, if he says ‘Bismillaah (in the name of Allah)”
(Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 496). Abu Dawood (6) and lbn Maajah (296) narrated that the Prophet PBUH said: “These toilets are visited (by jinn), so when any one of you goes to the toilet, let him say!

Essential Checklist for Umrah in August
Tumblr media
Umrah, the holy journey to Mecca, is a significant task for Muslims wanting spiritual renewal and connection to Allah. Muslims can accomplish the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca at any time for 12 months. They are required to make careful planning for the pilgrimage, whether they perform it at any time of the year. So, in this case, planning Umrah in August requires careful consideration of various factors, including weather conditions, travel plans, and personal preparations. In this article, we provide an important plan to help visitors through the difficulties of performing Umrah during the month of August.
A comprehensive checklist for performing an Umrah trip in August is below:
Weather-Appropriate Clothing:
Packing comfortable clothing is an important component of an essential checklist for Umrah. You must bring your attire for the pilgrimage according to weather conditions in Mecca and Medina. If you want to perform a holy journey during summer, packing breathable and light clothing is suitable. During summer, the temperatures in Mecca can range between 40 to 49 °C. Packing light and breathable attire is advantageous for departing during this time. The summer typically lasts from May to September in mostly part of Saudi Arabia. So, if you travel to Mecca during August, bring light and breathable clothing for Umrah. During this month, the temperatures in Mecca can range between from 29 to 43 °C.
2. Comfortable Footwear:
It's important to have the right shoes for your Umrah trip. Pilgrims should pick shoes that fit well and aren't too tight or too open. Women can wear closed shoes, but men can't. But sandals or shoes with open toes are also fine.
3. Travel Documentation:
Pilgrims must bring the required travel documents for Umrah. These documents may include:
A valid passport and its photocopies
Visa
Non-refundable flight tickets
Accommodation booking confirmation documents
Passport size photographs
Travel itinerary
Travel insurance
4. Financial Planning:
Going to Mecca, the holy city, is every Muslim's dream vacation. The beautiful act of worship is called Umrah. The trip is one of the most important things Muslims will ever do. So, they need to plan and get ready for it in many ways, such as mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially. You must bring enough cash and debit cards when you pack for Umrah. It is important for travellers to bring enough local currency (Saudi Riyals) before embarking the religious travel to Mecca. This consideration will protect you from any financial issues during the pilgrimage.
5. Electronic Devices and Connectivity:
Make sure that all of your electronics, like smartphones and cameras, are in good shape. Bring the chargers and plugs you need with you. Having a solid communication plan with foreign talking and internet choices will help you stay in touch with family and friends.
6. Personal Hygiene Items:
Pilgrims must bring personal hygiene items when packing for Umrah in August. These items include the following:
Toothpaste and toothbrush
Soaps and shampoos
Sunscreen lotions (for protecting from scorching heat)
Towels
Other Items
You must bring a reusable water bottle to avoid dehydration during the pilgrimage when performing Umrah during August.
Carrying a first aid bag, which includes suggested medicines is essential.
Conclusion:
When you do Umrah in August, there are some difficulties and chances that you might not have had before. By following this important checklist, travellers can concentrate on the spiritual meaning of their trip instead of the details of how they will get there. If you travel to Mecca for Umrah as a lady, knowing about your checklist for Umrah is essential. If you want to acquire the authentic knowledge, read this: The Ultimate Umrah Checklist for Ladies: Everything You Need to Know  Even though it may be hot in Mecca during August, visitors can still experience the life-changing power of Umrah in the greatest month if they plan and prepare well. Everyone who goes on this holy trip should experience a lot of spiritual growth and grow closer to Allah.
