wild how like PCOS, endometriosis, vaginismus & hell, even frequent yeast infections are “mysterious” with no well known cause and little to no decent treatment, but we have tons of supposedly well researched body fat removal methods, about 20 different kinds of breast implants, laser hair removal, and 100 different dermatologist recommended anti aging creams. we sure had the money and brainpower to cure those “diseases”

our favourite treat while in Madinah. I went almost every day except last two nights of Ramadan. when I went in Eid and begged my friend to try it, the lady serving us welcomed me with so much excitement and asked me why I didn’t come for the past 2 days. it was sweeter than the ice cream. Ajwatech is an ice cream made with dates. so delicious and I support the local, I support creativity, I support anyone who wants to give back to Madinah.

because my words are the only true, vast, timeless escape I have. because they take away from me those feelings that - if they stayed inside - would nip at me alive. because I can’t feel things half half, it is, like this head of mine, all or none. and most of the time, the equation favours all. there is no none.

So much of this worldly experience is out of our hands but we can choose to be generous w our love and curious abt life and find pleasure and amusement and refuge in the patterns of our every day and support each other and care for our world and meet even those we don’t know w grace and patience and consideration and that these little qualities are in our control is not to be forgotten
