For the record, the man accused in the shooting of the three Palestinian men was NOT JEWISH.
Please do not allow this terrible event to contribute to antisemitism or retaliatory Islamophobic violence.
James J. Eaton, the accused, is a white Christian man whose mother thought he was decorating a Christmas tree she gave him at the time of the shooting.
Many of us—Jews/Muslims/Israelis/Palestinians/Arabs—have been BEGGING those who claim to be our allies to dispense with violence and violent rhetoric against all of our communities precisely because we all know that these kinds of things happen as a result.
When I say that the rhetoric and tone you use online and the dogwhistles you espouse thoughtlessly can get people killed, this is what I’m talking about.
We all know that you want to be on the “right” side of history. But you have to want peace for all MORE than you want the self righteously fulfilling feeling of being right. This is not a game. People in your country are dying because people who claim to want to help are hurting everyone instead.
The only sides in this conflict are peace vs war, love vs hate. We must all be united in our desire for peace, not by our (self-proclaimed)“righteous” fury.
If you are demonizing Israel and Israelis and Jews or Muslims and Arabs and Palestinians, you are not only on the wrong side. You are not even on a side that can possibly be right.
Your personal political identity is irrelevant. Being a leftist/liberal/progressive doesn’t mean you’re immune to being hateful and Islamophobic and antisemitic. Being right wing/conservative doesn’t meant you are, either.
So, once again, I’m BEGGING YOU ALL: please tone down your rhetoric. Learn what dog whistles affect all parties in this conflict and then stop using them. Elevate the voices of people working for peace, not victory. And spend more time learning from those more familiar with the conflict than you do from those speaking most loudly about it.
And for the love of G-d. Please learn to interrogate a source for credibility before sharing it.

Members of Canada’s Muslim community expressed disappointment this week at the eight-year sentence handed to a man who attacked worshippers at a Toronto-area mosque, arguing it wasn’t strong enough to discourage similar violence in the future.
Imam Ibrahim Hindy said the attack last year at the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre in Mississauga, Ont. — which involved bear spray, a hatchet and was found to have been intended as a mass casually event — has left the community with long-lasting psychological pain.

"real jewish people stand with palestinians and support a free palestine." - look, i agree with this entire post, but unless you're jewish yourself (if you are, disregard this), please don't speak about good jews, bad jews, real jews, fake jews. my zionist relatives are just as jewish as my staunchly anti-zionist acquaintances.
i am jewish. and i have zero respect for jewish people who are zionists. just as i have zero respect for non-jewish people who are zionists. just as i have zero respect for my jewish family members who are zionists

You’re totally right Tumblr doesn’t manage the for you section. But this is so fucked up
https://www.tumblr.com/elitefourkylewantstobattle/732071926522167296
Typically when things like this happen on here it is because the post (and person) were mass-reported.
Reminder that my original owlvid blog was deleted because of fatphobic weirdos spam-reporting my blog when I was making posts about BMI being made by eugenicists who wanted to make Americans look more physically imposing to other countries and that many people classified as “morbidly obese” by the scale do not have high enough levels of body fat to actually impact their health, and that BMI and similar “ideal weight” metrics don’t take the weight of muscle into account and the weight loss trend has caused millions of people to develop eating disorders throughout the years.
A video like the one posted in the link you provided is going to be controversial because zionists won’t like it and the wording used in the video is unfortunately very easy to make look antisemitic. The section of the video where the speaker started saying “this percentage of Jews think they’re smarter and better than everyone” or whatever does align dangerously with a lot of antisemitic beliefs, so because he didn’t continue to say Israelis or Israeli Jews to speak against this nationalistic culture, it makes it extremely simple for zionists to point to that and spin the entire video as being lies and antisemitic propaganda. That leads to mass-reports against it.
I don’t doubt staff has Zionist sympathizers among them simply because staff is largely if not exclusively American and it is very difficult for people in this country to access accurate information about the Israel Palestine conflict because the government sponsors so much propaganda supporting Israel and against Arabs and Muslims in general, leading to a large amount of Americans drinking the koolaid and believing Israel to be justified. However, there is also a good chance that this person and the post were mass-reported and taken down automatically because staff doesn’t always back-check to ensure someone or their posts were actually dangerous if they reach a certain threshold of reports they just terminate everything.

hi! for the past few weeks, women in iran have been protesting the murder of mahsa jina amini by police, who brutally beat her for not wearing a hijab. mass protests have erupted, with a death toll in the upward three hundreds and growing each day. the government has resorted to internet outages and silencing any & all attempts for media coverage. it’s critical that those with the means donate, and those that can spread information to use every platform available to them to amplify iranian voices.
urge your government to do something about this. british mutuals, here’s a link to a template of what you can send to your MPs to urge their support.  us mutuals, use the same language & call your elected officials. urge them for support.
follow people on social media. here are the usernames of reputable sources boosting voices: @IranRights_org / @Omid_M on twitter or @middleeastmatters & @humanrightswatch on instagram + so many more. track the hashtags. be active about looking for information every day.  #mahsaamini, #iranprotests, #iranprotests2022, #zhinaamini are just a few.
go to protests. sign every petition you see. each major city is having one, reach out to your local community and find yours! it makes a difference.
learn. these books have been listed as great ways to learn the history of women’s rights in iran : the complete persepolis by marjane satrapi; reading lolita in tehran: a memoir in books by azar nafisi; daughters of smoke and fire by ava homa; and things i’ve been silent about: memories of a prodigal daughter by azar nafisi. one of the genuinely infuriating things people who were born after 9/11 are rarely told, besides the warmongering and the death that caused, is that they wanted people in the second tower to just…go back to work. and stay there and they would have died. and then the EPA said the air was fine like a day later and thousands of people became sick from chemical and particulate exposure and a lot of them died. and first responders, like the actual heroic™️ emts and shit, were hung out to dry. it’s just so evil to pretend that this was a Moment of American Strength and Unity That We Will Never Forget when the government immediately was trying to fuck people over and kill them and then after that pivoted to decades of “war on terror” the effects of which are felt to this day. like it’s just so sickening how immediately and surgically this violence was used as a tool to brutalize and repress

It's international women's day. White feminists will speak about the hijab being "oppressive" but will not speak about the IOF abducting Palestinian women, stripping them of their hijab, and denying them the right to wear it.
It's international women's day. White feminists will tell you the importance of making period products free, but will remain silent when Palestinian women and little girls in Gaza have to use leftover fabric from tents because aid is blocked and they don't have pads.
It's international women's day. White feminists will gladly share fake accusations -which have been debunked- about mass rapes against Israeli women, but will completely ignore the sexual violence and rape threats Palestianian hostages have been and are subjected to in Israeli prisons.
It's international women's day. White feminists will scream about women's education and the Taliban -even though they only use it for their Islamophobic agendas, not out of concern- and they will remain silent when we say schools and universities in Gaza have been bombed, and there is an educational crisis.
Stop looking the other way. Stop being silent. Free Palestine.

I try my best to not get too political on my blog, especially in complicated and divisive situations like these, but I feel like people need a reminder:
You can support Palestine without being an antisemitic asshole
You can support Israel without being a racist dickhead
You can support either side without generalizing either group or saying that the other group should all die

I am so sick of the phrasing that Germany is persecuting supporters of Palestine because the German government feels "guilty" for the Holocaust.
Germany uses its support for Israel to offset its atrocities on to Palestinians. It uses its support for Israel to muddy the waters on what is and isn't antisemitism and to arrest anti-Zionist Jews. It uses its support for Israel to persecute, police, and deport Palestinian and Muslim migrants and then offset its obvious racism and Islamophobia on to Jews.
Germany has never fully reckoned with the white German gentile supremacy that caused the Holocaust. It has never reconciled with Jews. It never fully acknowledges the colonial violence that preceded the Holocaust or the Romani victims of the Porajmos.
Germany is a white supremacist state. Germany is a police state. Germany is a deeply Islamophobic and antisemitic state. The German government is an antagonist to Palestinians, Muslims, and Jews alike. The German state can shove its crocodile tears for the destruction of European and North African Jewish life up its filthy asshole.

Ah yes it's that time of the year again where we hide institutional islamophobia and anti-arab racism behind the thin excuse of mourning the victims of a terrorist attack

This ‘cartoon’ about the devastating earthquake in Türkiye, neighbouring Syria underlines your contempt for universally.

About liberal Zionists.
First, Zionism is a nationalistic ideology so we have strike one for how they constantly feel "betrayed" by leftism. But also, when I go to the blog of a liberal queer rights, equal rights for all Zionist there are some things I noticed.
Zionist 1 has mostly agreeable positions in their own thoughts and reblogs. They want the sufferings of the Palestinians to end but have mostly shallow ideas on how that could be accomplished because the central violence that the state Israel enacts on the Palestinians is invisible to them except a short "the settlements are bad". They accept that Gaza is suffering too much but stay clear to call it a genocide.
Zionist 1 often reblogs from Zionist 2.
Zionist 2's opinions and reblogs are now way less agreeable. When I say "agreeable" I mean agreeable to a nominal western, white, somewhat leftist audience. Z2 openly has nationalistic views, everything starts on 7.10 except Hamas was always bad. Some denialism on past Israeli atrocities. Calls Jews critical of Israel "self-hating" without pause. When the topic of genocide comes up they say it doesn't exist. Maybe they criticise Netanyahu.
Z1 makes sure that only some of Z2' thoughts and reblogs end up their own blog.
Z2 often reblogs from Z3 who is an open, flag waving, idf idolising, arab hating islamophobe. They don't care about civilian casualties because in their opinion there are no civilians and/or they deserve it for electing Hamas and not fighting against Hamas right this second. The hostages are worshipped, just like every political decision of Israel, current past future. They deny that a genocide is happening but only on the word alone because they wish that everyone in Gaza should die and disappear.
Z2 makes sure that only some of Z3 thoughts and reblogs end up on their own blog.
And this is how supposed liberal or leftist Zionists regurgitate far right fanaticism even if not openly all the time.
You distilled this perfectly, this is exactly why I dislike so many liberal zionists on here. They straight up reblog from people who were genocide deniers and those people reblog from outright fascists. Like yeah if I see you make community with people who spout zionist beliefs then I'm considering you a zionist, even if you deny it.
Also the liberal zionists always talk about how we should "stop dehumanizing Israelis for the actions of their governments" when we very much can see the way Israelis perpetuate the colonization of Palestine. Oh and they also don't think palestine is colonized by Israel.
But yeah this is exactly it thank you anon.
