Merely throwing luxurious wedding to show off and making 10 kinds of dishes for the guests at the wedding does not makes you a man Unless you could protect your wife in front of the whole world and from your own family .

You're not married and people think something is wrong with you. You're raising a child alone and people totally overlook you. You've been divorced and people look down upon you. You're over 25 and people think you're too old. You're a widow and no one ever thinks your good enough.
Lady Maryam never got married and she is from amongst the four greatest women Allah ever created. Isa عليه السلام ascended to heaven and he was unmarried, yet he is a Prophet. Lady Hajra nurtured Prophet Ismail in Makkah alone whilst it was a barren desert, due to the command of Allah. Sayyidah Amna lost her husband before Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born. The Prophet’s ﷺ wife, Lady Safiyyah had been divorced and then widowed before he married her. Lady Khadijah had 2 children from previous marriages and was 40 years old when he married her. Lady A'ishah had no children. Lady Asiya was married to the greatest tyrant, Fir'awn.
Our communities looks down upon people and judge, yet it is strange that some of the greatest men and women Allah ever created and made role models for us had come from such circumstances and situations. Never feel inferior or unimportant. Don't listen to their opinions and meaningless words. Be content with the Decree of Allah. Raise your head high and be proud.
