just learned about sonic dating princess sally and them having kids in the archie comics when they were both like, in their forties. absolutely devastated by this information.
like i do imagine many of the sonic characters to be in their twenties because i want 2 relate 2 them, but on god, forties? do they have low back pain now? does sonic have knee pain, from all the running? does tails own a house now? does he have mortgage payments? what kinds of taxes does everyone have to file? have the chaotix been arrested for tax evasion or have they managed to avoid law enforcement thus far? do they even have income tax in mobius?

still endlessly fascinating to me that the whole "Casanova"/"romance" angle of Raymond's character is just a word-of-god informed trait that we never actually.... see, in-show?? Like, if you're Just watching the episodes without any other contact to fandom/Krew stuff, Raymond is purely just a haughty sports-themed bot with a bit of a flair for the dramatic, so Ernesto's jab at him in Let's Watch The Boxmore Show about needing to "pick a lane" between Sports or Romance feels like it comes?? completely out of left field????? 😂😂 (yes, sports pun intended lol)
Like... is it just because of his whole roses/flowers motif??? Is that really all it takes to somehow constitute "romance" here?? Because I call BS on that honestly xD 'Romance' as a concept has way more depth/complication than simply "the existence of roses/flowers"; not to make another pun so soon, but It Takes Two To Tango as the saying goes, and the only person Raymond ever (sort-of?) tangoed with was Rad but that dance battle was definitely Not romantic-coded, so?? xD (Insert joke here about Second First Date largely consisting of a date-fight with a focus on flowers which Was supposed to be romantic-coded but SHHH x'3c)
But at the same time, if the flowers aren't supposed to be the reasoning then W H E R E are we supposed to have seen any kind of ""romance"" from Raymond for Ernesto's line to make sense??? i have like 0 judgment when it comes to exams??! how...
#how is this possible#i was SO sure like 99% sure i failed this exam#i was devastated and i felt like i did so bad on it i was crying in my room 😅#AND I GOT a B!!! ON IT OMG#like i'm so happy with that ofc!🥳🥳 i would have prayed for a D tbh#but how can you be so off???#i don't get it#and this happened numerous times since i'm in uni#when i was in high school i usually knew when i failed and then i actually failed and when i did good#and i didn't yet fail anything in uni (which i actually studied for) and actually my grades are pretty good#(i failed 2 because some people told me that it's easy and they'd just try without studying and so did i ... i was fooled obv 😂🥲)#(they surely did study at least a bit and just said that but i took their word for it 🤦♀️ but anyway whatever i passed these 2nd try)#no but i'm baffled#the thing was i wrote some things there on the exam but i thought it's all wrong i was just taking guesses out of the possibilities#and also that i'm really bad at explaining i felt like and my writing was also kind of illegible#but i mean better this way than the other way around 🫠🥳#but maybe i should save my tears until i actually get back exams in the future#if anyone knows the reason for this... or relates please let me know

i did my working interview and i had a lot of fun and my body doesn't even really hurt that much (i stg it's just the constant standing/sitting and repetitive movements for hours that kills me ugh aka cashiering) and it seemed like they liked me and i'll hear from the practice manager once she gets a chance to discuss everything with the lead veterinarian aka practice owner and the staff
i don't wanna get my hopes up but i really really really need and want this job so!!! 🥲 😭 🤞🏻 🙏🏻

WAD: Cover Art
dan is still working on selling the distribution rights for We're All Doomed! so i decided to make some DVD/Blu-ray disc jacket art!
this is my attempt at a traditional jacket design! none of the images used are mine, but i did create the concept and design:
as i was making the first one for myself, i was struck by the fact that 'well, it's for me, so it doesn't have to look like a stereotypical jacket cover' which led me to be more artsy in my approach for the next one:
i was really enjoying the creativity and space to explore, so i went looking for more inspiration for a third design. this led me to dan's favourite Muse album: Origin of Symmetry, which i paid homage to:
after the first Muse album, i looked at their catalogue to see if there was more inspiration there. i was just thankful dan's favourite was easy stylistically to mimic, unlike say, 2009's The Resistance...

General notes
i don't know how to use photoshop! i entirely brute-forced my way through the whole project, and the only tutorial i looked up was for the gradient text in the 4th cover
this wasn't even the original project i was working on! you'll eventually get to see that though
and this one also inspired art for the disc itself so stay tuned 👀
i will do anything for authenticity so these are Full of intentional details
matching fonts is a nightmare
the traditional cover
took the longest, as it was the first.
the barcode numbers are the date of the first video he uploaded on dinof, and the last tour show date (in m/d/y)
i changed 'iceland' to 'poland' on the front cover, as he never actually went to iceland, and poland wasn't ever on the list even though he did go there
the orange may look a little off-center in the front, but these designs need to include space for a spine between the front and back cover, i promise it's right 😂

the cover art comes from his metal band merch shirt design
i had to manually shrink the text, line by line, and ensure it all lined up on the back!
i even made the logos on the back greyscale
the Muse: Origin of Symmetry cover
a shockingly perfect style for a WAD cover. i'm so glad i used the cubes, even if they couldn't be orange.
there's some versions of the art online where the sky is even more orange and it baffles me how i haven't seen any parallels like this before
the Muse: The Resistance cover
this cover was never supposed to see the light of day! i meant it when i said i was grateful i didn't have to try to adapt this complex design... and yet, i tried anyway.
i did all the grid lines by hand, including the jagged/broken edge parts, shading each section, and then drawing every star.
the hardest part was getting the gradient on the back text to cooperate. photoshop's gradient settings are surprisingly limited
gotta shout out @amazingphil for being the reason i knew what this cover looked like--it's the only muse album i knew the art of before embarking on this quest!
obligatory sob story:
i've been extremely and suddenly ill for 6 months. it is difficult to function moment to moment, but especially in doing little things just for me. this is the first and only art project i've been able to feel inspired to not only work on, but to finish, and despite the pain and long hours, i enjoyed every minute of it. thank you, dan, for creating this space for me to explore, and thank you, everyone here, for being wonderful support during this time 💞

Buck was chatting away, his hands waving this way and that, and Eddie had a smile on his face as he walked beside him. They'd decided to walk down to the coffee shop on the corner of Buck's street together, to treat themselves after their long shift before Eddie had to leave to pick Chris up from school.
As he talked, Buck walked backwards in front of Eddie for a few steps before ending up on his other side.
"—and then it was introduced to England in like, the late 1700s," Buck was saying. How he'd gotten started on the history of dominoes, Eddie didn't know, but he definitely wasn't complaining. He could happily listen to Buck talk for hours about anything. "And it was all over the world by 1889! And although it originated in China, it's now way more popular in France and Belgium."
"And the Buckley-Diaz household," Eddie chimed in with a wink, referring to the set of dominoes Buck and Chris had been playing with for the past three weeks and making Buck blush.
While he was briefly distracted, Eddie gently took hold of Buck's wrist and guided him to the other side so that he was back on Eddie's left and Eddie was walking beside the road.
Buck frowned, then just continued talking about dominoes. But a few steps later, he cut across Eddie's path with a little spin so that he was back on Eddie's right.
With a scowl, Eddie stepped behind him and to the side, forcing Buck left. A giggle left Buck's lips and he ducked in to kiss Eddie quickly, distracting him, before taking the spot on the right again.
"Would you stop?" Eddie exclaimed, coming to a halt.
"Stop what?" Buck asked innocently, a bright grin on his face.
"You know what," Eddie said with a sigh. "Stop swapping sides!"
"Why?" Buck asked, a cheeky twinkle in his eyes.
"Because…" Eddie trailed off, feeling his face grow warm with embarrassment. A particularly fast car sped past and he automatically reached out to grab Buck's arm, pulling him further away from the road.
"I didn't know you knew the sidewalk rule," Buck teased.
"The what?" Eddie asked, baffled.
"The sidewalk rule," Buck repeated, as if saying it again would bring any further insight. Thankfully, seeing Eddie's face, he went on – "It's the idea that your boyfriend should walk on the side closest to the road to keep you safe from any hazards."
"I have never heard of that in my life," Eddie said, mouth twisting slightly in disgust. "It sounds misogynistic. And besides, we're both the boyfriend in this relationship."
"Sure," Buck said easily, giving a one-shoulder shrug. "But then, why exactly don't you want me walking on this side?"
Eddie slid his hand down to Buck's, twisting their fingers together. He didn't want to tell Buck the truth; he didn't want Buck's bright and happy mood to be brought down. But…
"Because of Shannon," he said softly. "Because she… I know it doesn't make sense. We're in way more dangerous situations every day. And she wasn't on a sidewalk but on a crossing, so it was different—"
"Hey." Buck stepped right up into his space, cupping his face with his hands. "It's okay. It makes sense to me. If you want me to walk on the other side, I will."
"I do," Eddie admitted.
"Then I will," Buck said. Closing the distance between them, Buck kissed him softly and earnestly.
When they parted, Eddie was surprised to find that Buck had somehow turned them during the kiss without him noticing. He was once again standing between Buck and the road.
"Come on," Buck said, taking Eddie's hand in his and pulling him along the path.
Content, Eddie gently squeezed Buck's hand and listened as he went back to discussing the history of dominoes.

helloooo! had a super random idea that I thought I’d throw your way but if you don’t want to write it, no worries! i know there’s not really dragons in acotar but what if one of the bat boys (whoever you want to write this for) encounters a group of dragons and find an illyrian with them who was raised by dragons. (The dragons think she’s one of them bc she has wings lol) a female who was abandoned by their parents because they wanted a son or something like that. (but now I’m thinking what if she was cassian’s long lost sister or something but in that case obviously she wouldn’t be paired with cassian lol) and she’s basically like half feral and whoever you pair her with is her mate and cannot convince her to go with them to velaris but they figure it out somehow 🥹 and when they finally do she’s just like baffled by simple things like dresses and kitchen utensils and how soft their beds are 😂 and now the night court has a small army of dragons because they listen to her 🤷🏽♀️ you can make her an OC if you want!
I can respond to this now that Bound by Fate Part 3 is up and has some traction 🤣 I was going to ask if you got into my Google drive somehow. Kaylee is going to have a similar journey to this only Kaylee's is going to be based on the concept that magic has a price, and the more magic she uses, the bigger the price, where as this journey will be about finding her humanity.

Flight Patterns Part 1
Summary - After years of hushed whispers and leads, Azriel has finally found Cassian's lost sister, Aerilyn. What he found with her was unexpected, though.
Warnings - violence
A/n - Aerilyn is going to be fairly feral for these first few parts. Also, she speaks sindarian (like Lord of the Rings elves sindarian, so translations will be at the end of the chapters)
Part Two Part Three
Aerilyn stared at the male wrapped in shadows as if she'd never seen another illyrian before. As if she'd never seen another fae before, Azriel thought to himself.
She was beautiful, exactly as he had expected her to be, with her long dark hair cascading into waves behind her, her tanned unmarked skin, the bright burning hazel eyes. She was a softer, smaller, and delicate version of Cassian.
Azriel approached her slowly, his hands raised in front of him. " I do not want to hurt you. I have been looking for you for a very, very long time." Over 319 years to be exact. With you right under our noses this whole time, he thought bitterly to himself.
She had been left to die after her wings were taken. Thrown into the Illyrian woods beaten and bloodied before Cassian eventually burnt that Camp to the ground. She was three at the time. How she survived was a mystery, one Azriel knew they'd need to figure out.
She eyed him cautiously, her head tilted to the side before taking a step back and away from him. "I won't hurt you, Aerilyn." Her eyes narrowed, but then she suddenly relaxed. A small smile forming on her face as Azriel felt the ground shaking behind him.
He felt the warm breath of whatever it was before the deep growl came. His eyes shut slowly at the scent of ember and rot that lingered in the air. He turned slowly, feeling shock set into his system as he sat face to face with a fire Drake. He felt the ground rumble again, then again, and once more. Rhys. I'm going to need help. Now. Drop whatever the fuck you're doing.
Cassian and Rhys appeared beside him instantly. A grumbled, "Cauldron fucking drown me," leaving the generals mouth as they all stood back to back. "Azriel, what the fuck?"
Azriel looked to where Aerilyn stood, her eyes locked on Cassian and her head tilted to the side. "She knows you, Cass. And they're protecting her." He could tell his brother was avoiding looking at her. Avoiding the pain that'd come from how much she truly looked like their mother.
Rhysand grabbed their hands. "You have 30 seconds, Cassian or I'm getting us the fuck out of here."
Cassian glanced at his little sister, his heart tightening in his chest at how small she was. They held eye contact for a moment and he lowered his weapons and held his hands up to her. He took one step and an immediate growl and shift came from the winged beast closest to him. A deep warning not to approach her. "Would she have memories of anything specific? Something special between the two of you?" Rhys asked softly. "I can't get into her head. It's.. it's a mess, Cassian."
Cassian didn't notice the feather light touch in Rhysand's jaw, the way his eyes kept flickering to the female in concern. Azriel had, though. He noted the immediate change in Rhysand's body language. The calm and composed High Lord was struggling to maintain himself.
Azriel would have laughed if there wasn't a black scaled beast staring him down as if he was nothing more than a delicious snack.
Cassian spoke to her softly. "When you were little, you had a little stuffed bunny. His name was Sir Hop." A flicker of recognition went across her face. Cassian took a small step forward. The beast growled softer this time. "I still have him," the soft confession hung in the air. "Rhysand's mom enchanted it. She made sure he'd never stop smelling like you. You could not sleep without him or me. Mom said you just tossed and turned crying constantly if he went missing or I was gone. I always worried about if you were sleeping when our father ripped me from the house." Another tentative step, but no growl chilling the three of them to the core.
She studied Cassian hard. Stepping close to him until they were but an arms length away. Her brain knew him. It screamed for her to remember him. She didn't understand all of his words, but she knew his voice. His scent. "Come with me," Cassian offered. "Come home with me."
"Cassian, 5 seconds. If she does not take your hand in 5 seconds, we are done here." Rhys warned as one of the beasts, a lighter Grey monster that seemed to blend into its surroundings leaned closer to the High Lord and growled.
For whatever reason, this beast wanted him dead.
"Duar," a feminine voice that reminded Rhysand of finely aged wine, spoke softly. The beast coiled away from him with one last growl. She was so close to Cassian, breathing in the scent of a warm fire and winter winds.
"You have a freckle on your ribs," Cassian whispered, his hand reaching out to touch right above her heart. "Right here." She allowed him to bring her into him. He held her close as her arms stayed at her side.
Rhys took the chance, his hands shooting for Cassian and Azriel and winnowing them back to the townhouse with heavy breaths.
The hug was no longer gentle, not as her fight began. Aerilyn kicked, screamed, and fought as Cassian pulled her into the warded house. Madja was there and ready, knowing the girl would need medical attention and an evaluation.
After watching her land a harsh closed fist onto Rhysand's cheek as he spoke to her, Madja immediately switched what she had planned, grabbing a needle filled with a sedative and shoving it into the illyrian female's arm.
"I'm sorry," Cassian cried as he lowered her to the floor. "I'm so fucking sorry. Shhhh it's okay. It's okay, you're safe."
His sister fell asleep in his arms, wrapped tight against his body as he rocked her back and forth against his chest.
Rhysand held his jaw, "She knows s few words and the alphabet. We will need to work on that to communicate with her," he ground out. "She can speak an ancient language I do not even know, but Amren might. Also, she's my fucking mate."
Cassian watched in silence as Rhysand left the room, went upstairs, and slammed another door shut with a soft click to indicate he had locked it.
Madja inclined her head to the bed they had ready for her, "Lay her down. I don't need her awake to know how healthy she is or what she needs."

Becky's homewrecking is one of my most favorite stand-alone chapters...and the anime version did not disappoint!
Everyone's reactions to Becky's hilarious delusions are just so perfect - Loid being baffled and totally clueless, Yor being flustered and completely misinterpreting things, while Anya just observes it all with quiet amusement.
Plus the scenes of Anya imagining Becky as her mom, and even the short sequence of showing Becky her house - gah, everything about this chapter/episode is peak SxF comedy~
Becky completely ignoring Bond...poor pup 😂
If Loid thinks he doesn't understand children based on Anya, Becky certainly did not help! (also Bond in the corner still feeling rejected)
Yor's "encounter" with the car worked much better in the anime 🤣
I honestly feel really bad for the driver!
Also this poor guy, lol. Though I'm sure the money Becky gave him was more than enough to cover repairs on the machine 🤣
I know some people found this chapter uncomfortable, but I don't get why. If Loid reciprocated Becky's feelings, then yes, that would be bad, but he doesn't. He reacts how anyone would if some delusional little kid decided they had a crush on you - by being confused (and hoping that your wife doesn't interpret it wrong!)
It's not unusual for little kids, especially little girls, to develop silly, fleeting infatuations with adults (I'm guilty of that myself when I was Becky's age, lol).
Anya's willingness (at first) to go along with Becky's delusions was fitting - she idolizes Becky's lavish lifestyle, especially the food (and since Yor's food is, well...) Plus someone at her impressionable young age can be swayed easily. But I'm sure if somehow this delusion became a reality, she'd realize that Yor is the best Mama and Becky should just be "best friend" 😅
This chapter also confirms that Yor didn't completely forget everything that happened after the bar incident. Or at least she remembered it more clearly after Loid supposedly had the conversation with her again, lol. Just shows how important his compliments are to her.
I love how the episode's key visual is a throwback to the one from episode 6! I hope we get to see more Yor/Becky interactions again.
We also got a short anime-original story featuring Fiona. Everyone was expecting chapter 60 to be adapted, but I'm kinda glad it wasn't since it and the Becky chapter seem a bit too long to share the same episode. Not a whole lot to say about this segment other than I liked how Fiona's actions mirrored the Forgers' activities on their vacation. We also got to see more of her "training" in the woods that was hinted at after her tennis match with Yor.
I liked this bear hitching a ride.
And omg, foreshadowing for chapter 67!
And it seems like the final episode of the season will adapt the 2-part story of Loid and Bond's fire rescue. I know there's a scene of Fiona in the next mission preview, but it's likely from a quick anime-only scene while the rest of the episode will adapt the two parts of chapter 62. The big indicator that this will be the only story adapted is that the next episode only has one title, "Part of the Family."

I have to write some of this down so I don't forget
Joker out at Kulttuuritalo 2.3.24
The boys seemed to be a bit baffled at soundcheck at first - as were we in the audience 😂 How are we supposed to be and act? Except when Bojan came and was so easy-going and put everyone at ease and high-fived/shook everyone's hand and put the Finland's son-in-law sash on and gave hugs and then said "excuse me, son-in-law coming through" and talked to us a lot, he really knows how to command a space
This has been all over the place, but they were rehearsing until midnight the day before because of technical issues with the sound program that Bojan could not explain because he doesn't understand any of it (that's okay Bojan, you can just sing and look pretty). Nace had been up until 4 am fixing it
they sang Vse Kar Vem and Dopamin (which wasn't on the set so they probably will change it up in different gigs) and it was a lot of fun! People shouted "Peliä!" to them when they were leaving and Bojan shouted it back. He also told us to have fun and "scream as loud as you can" ☠️
Bojan said he is in a chatty mood and is going to talk a lot today (I'm not sure he actually did talk more than usual? but it was nice to hear from him ❤️)
Hojan was on my bingo card but not quite like THAT. I love it that they wanted to include him somehow but do something different ❤️
BOJAN'S PÖTSI. It was out a lot, bless him. He does have a belly button! And a stomach mole, apparently? (Need more hi-res prof plis)
I have to mention Kris' cake even though we were on the under-18 side so I did not get to look as much as I would have wanted to. But today I'll be on the other side heh
I love Nace's hair and he is adorable so there
NEW SONGS I AM DEAD. Bojan seemed a bit nervous, he didn't look at the audience much? But he skipped and bounced and it was adorable. He said it was nerve-wrecking. But they were really happy afterward! (I kinda want to learn some bits of the lyrics so if they do them again today we could sing along)
Everybody's waiting was so amazing live, Bojan said how that made him the most nervous of all because "now *I* have to play that thing". But it was so so good and they were elated after it, seemed super relieved, like punching the air happy 😭
METULJI 💕 Bojan was very touched with all the butterflies, that was pretty, it was an amazing version
The back drop and the drum design were so beautiful!!!
It was so cool meeting moots, please if you're there today I would love to say hi

The crowd on the floor was nice and let people go to get water and go to the bathroom and then come back. It was a long night to stand around ☠️ Kultsa is so nice in that front row is like a mile long so that probably helped.

I'm absolutely baffled that tickle scenes are so rare in media. When I'm reading books/manhwas or watching a TV show/movie, I just can't help but think that tickles would fit so WELL in every. single. context.
Whether it's for showing romantic or platonic affection between characters, rivalry, or even as a punishment, as a dare, as a game or anything, why is there so little of it!!! We as a community are on our knees picking up crumbs and celebrating every smol scene that's not limited to the mere "it tickles!" while we should be having a feast. I know I'm biased and this is so unserious and hilarious coming from me of all people... but I had to say it! 😂

I was born and raised in Texas, have been obsessed with space all my life, and am about to join a plant pathology PhD program, and all those things means I've been thinking about your story literally non stop since I started reading weeks ago, I cannot describe the shriek of delight and amusement I let out when he goes "oh, they're mostly Texan (baffled)" 😂
And Texan being its own language 😂 the sheer delight every time someone "said something in Texan"
plus, SPACE (and also plants(!!!))
The [says something in Texan] "Oh!! Yes, I'm a space pirate :)" moment 😂 I love all of them so much
Its even better than the pure delight I experienced from this scene in Gundam
(Also you're right ofc about The Bad Things about TX literally everything I'm like "yeah that checks")

I got a few questions but first:
I loved the new chapter of Flung to Catch a Star!! I’m glad all the new Witchers made it through. Geralt having a crush on Erland of Larvik is cute!! Secondly I’m enjoying how you keep us guessing about Emhyr’s thought process because he’s not a fool. It’s hard to tell if he’s thinks A, X, or Z thoughts. Also, I’m enjoying Cabir and Morvran! It’s fun seeing them learn from their time at Kaer Morhen.
So my questions are:
I was rereading With Tenderness and Nobleness, and I caught the brief mention of Erland and Arnaghad. I was wondering, were they romantic partners? I blame this on the fact when I read that line, I saw @irreconcilable differences” and not “irreconcilable philosophical differences”. I was curious so I had to ask. lol 😂
Secondly, if this isn’t spoilers for the last third of Flung to Catch a Stars, how much of a relationship do you see Ciri and Emhyr having?

I don't think I've defined on page whether Erland and Arnaghad were romantic partners. I've certainly read some very good fics with that premise. But they did split over irreconcilable philosophical differences over what the role of Witchers ought to be, and it was not a pretty split.
How much of a relationship to I see Ciri and Emhyr having...I think that's going to be explored later in the Progress fics, honestly. Though if Emhyr does something really boneheaded, the answer might just be "brief".

There's a scene in One Piece where Koby is talking about his frustration and disappointment with the Marines as an institution, and Helmeppo tells him "Well, you just have to become some big shot and fix it all, right?" and Koby agrees with him, and that's got me thinking about how, in canon, Koby's endgame is pretty clearly going to be exactly that -- he's set up as not only Garp's successor but as the one who will surpass him. Koby's goal is to become so powerful and so influential that he's able to enforce massive reforms on The World Government's Entire Military, which is. No small task! Koby's motives are so selfless that it's easy to overlook that, actually, he's aiming for just as much power and prestige as the other top hitters. This man, like so many others in One Piece, is trying to swallow the sun, and it's been made clear that he's one of the few who has what it takes to actually succeed.
And that has me thinking about people constantly being surprised and confused by Zoro's loyalty to Luffy, because Zoro could be a pirate captain in his own right. People keep expecting him to be gunning for the crown, and we're told that if he did, honestly, he might make it! Zoro has the makings to be Pirate King, or at least to be a top dog, an emperor of the sea. People see his skill and his ambition and they assume, and every time he has to be like "Nah man, you got it wrong, my dreams start and end with that grinning rubber idiot over there. Yes, really."
and all of THAT has me thinking about Koby's Bad Day, and how hilarious it would be if Koby ALSO dealt with that on occasion. Technically he already does have experience as captain of his own crew (although being a captain in the navy isn't really the same kind of autonomy and freedom as a pirate captain, that's not Nothing!) and he certainly has the skills and the strength to get peoples' attention. However, unlike Zoro, Koby is very much Just Hanging Out. Like, Zoro knows he's hot shit, and it doesn't surprise him when other people point it out to him. He understands where the confusion comes from. He just corrects people and moves on. But Koby? If somebody just started assuming that Koby must clearly be the REAL captain, or that obviously Koby must want the Pirate King title for himself, I think Koby would explode. I don't think he'd know how to react. And I think it would be really, really funny.
Anyway I'm just sharing thoughts cause I'm on a reread. Thank you so much for writing this fic btw, easily one of my faves and reading it is always such a blast.

First of all you are SO right, Koby would combust at the idea of being a contender for Pirate King. Where on earth would anyone get that idea?? Well, Koby, you’re a very powerful pirate with potentially the best observation haki in the entire world. People are gonna assume.
But of course Koby still mentally thinks of himself as a Good Boy, hasn’t fully reconciled with the fact that he is objectively and inarguably a pirate, in a world where most pirates are back-stabbing scumbags. He’s a member of Luffy’s crew, he is very proud to call him Captain! But honestly I think he sometimes forgets that they’re pirates, since 90% of the time they’re not doing anything illegal 😂
Combine that with the fact that he chronically underestimates how strong he really is, and that he is Luffy’s most ardent supporter? Yeah the Pirate King comments would BAFFLE him.

Have you seen the recent Adam driver interview re: redeemed Ben solo never being part of the original plans? Apparently JJs idea as pitched to Adam was 'reverse Vader' who begins the trilogy all uncertain and vulnerable and becomes super evil by the third film 😂 considering the mess that was duel of the fates, I'm not surprised. Adam said he was still 'focused' on JJs original arc even though it changed over shooting. Which is baffling to me, because even in TFA you can't seriously believe this character could go stone cold uber sinister. It's terrible how so many good things in the sequel trilogy are there in spite of tptb, not because of them!
I haven't and honestly at this point I don't even want to hear anything else about what a complete fucking shitshow of stupidity and sociopathy this whole production was.
The idea that TFA isn't setting up a redemption is so absurd to me that I'm not even going to entertain it. I don't believe that even JJ is that incompetent, and his commentary plus TROS indicates that he did absolutely understand that Ben must be reclaimed despite his total disregard for the themes and message of SW. So whatever Adam was talking about, I don't know, and I'm not going to listen to this interview to try to figure it out because I'm tired. Maybe he's referring to the earliest ideas where Kylo Ren wasn't the same person as Han and Leia's child?
But in that case I just cannot imagine why they wanted to cast him in that role.
Leaving aside that the entire concept of a 'reverse Vader' is the stupidest shit I've ever heard, because that was a) literally the prequel trilogy, b) antithetical to SW as anything other than a prelude to a subsequent redemption, and c) SO FUCKING BORING. I know this isn't the first time Adam has mentioned this, but it only sounds more stupid the more clear he makes it that they mean 'the opposite of the ending of RotJ'. Which is just 'the ending of every fucking American action movie fucking ever'. Like putting a 'spin' on Vader by having him NOT REDEEM HIMSELF is just called 'being like everyone else' and 'taking away literally the most compelling thing about Vader'.
I need these boring, unimaginative HACKS to fuck off. Like, the idea that JJ's pitch for TFA was 'worse, more boring, less visually creative, less meaingful, more shallow remake of ANH but also we will ruin the heart and soul of the story and make it like all the libertarian slop it literally existed in order to stand against'.
LIKE JAIL FOR THIS MAN. JAIL!
I saw someone say that it's also come out that the reylo connection was Kasdan's idea, which I feel vindicated by bc I've been saying I bet it was forever. But again, JJ was on board for it and knew what he was doing with the imagery in TFA. He is not so incompetent that he didn't understand he was creating romantic subtext. And text.
But like, I'm just so done with these fucking people. That ANYONE at that company much less apparently EVERYONE?? thought it was remotely acceptable to use SW to tell the story of any character whatsoever who was humanised and sympathetic and relatable to children falling into darkness and becoming ''''''irredeemable'''''' MUCH LESS the LAST SKYWALKER, the HOPE AND HAPPY ENDING OF ROTJ, HAN AND LEIA'S LOVE, PADMÉ'S LOVE, the atonement and reconciliation of Darth Vader is just FUCKING BANANAPANTS to me.
George Lucas should fight these people in an alley.
