Congrats on finishing exams! I thought of a one-shot request that'll hug you in fluff. In TW, the end of his lab SR has Ortho almost begging Silver to let him use his body's features more and test things, essentially just wanting to play doctor. What about a cute situation with a reader (fem/neutral) who lets him play and poke around to try things out so he can make more use out of it? (Sorry if it's strange, just thought it sounded adorable ^^)

This took me a while to write since I had to translate Ortho's stories to get to know him better

I added some Idia condiment to it to so Ortho will be motivated to use his abilities to help his brother ♥

"Okay , what are we gonna do now ?" you asked with a motivational tone , hiding your great nervousness . You were given the permission to keep Ortho for only an afternoon . Idia seemed pretty unsafe about letting you have him but since Ortho insisted , he gave up : " Be back by the sunset , okay ?" . Ortho has told you how shy and unstable his brother would be if he gets in a face-to-face conversation , so you tried to patch the whole thing up by phone . Honestly he seemed a bit strict on phone but you caught the yes , anyways , under some conditions of course : "No running , stay away from water , don't get into any arguments , avoid unnecessary interactions ," Idia had ruled . You promised to take your best care of Ortho but he didn't seem quite satisfied ; he probably just agreed because of Ortho .

Ortho didn't seem as cheerful as always and that worried you . He was drowning in his own thoughts that didn't recognize what you asked , making you repeat your question to pull him out of his daydreamings . Ortho then dropped his head and gave away a hum sound , probably thinking of something to do . He frowned a little putting a finger under his chin as if he was trying to remember something . "(y/n) ? " he asked , his voice filled with pain . " Yes ?" you answered , wondering if he's gonna talk about what was bothering him .

" My brother has been struggling with his studies a lot lately , he's a real genius , but he keeps on skipping classes and missing lessons , that's a worry . He was even close to getting kicked out of Mr. Crewel's classes for the rest of the year since he missed almost all classes this month , and now he isn't allowed to return to classes until he comes up with aj satisfying project or disquisition that changes Mr. Crewel's mind..."

Your eyes widened a bit at his words , it was this serious ? You knew that Idia was socially awkward for real but to fail him classes because of it...that wasn't something you would have expected .

" I'm so sorry to hear that , is there anything I can do ? " you asked , hoping there to be a way to help . Ortho nodded : " Yes please , I want to put my brother out of this obstacle and... need your help ," he crooned , eyes filled with pain now . You couldn't take him being this sad , that was the total opposite of what you brought him out for . "I'd try my best Ortho , let's save Idia ," you said holding his hand and giving him your best smile . " (y/n)... let's make my brother the best disquisition ever ! something that Crewel couldn't resist ," he declared , now with a hyped tone that proved how determined he was. You gave him a dried up smile while thinking of something to say . One one hand you didn't really know what might satisfy Crewel but on the other you couldn't say no to him , not that you motivated him yourself . " It's great Ortho but , since Ignihyde's the most high-tech dorm isn't it supposed to have the best and greatest scientific researches as well ? I mean comparing to them , my knowledge is pretty scanty ; wouldn't it be better if Idia himself does it ?" Ortho shook his head as a no : "He worked on plenty of great projects , from the history of magic to the rarest formulas of the strongest portions , but Crewel rejected each and every of them . He told brother that he lacked something that cannot be found through internet , that he needed something coming from outside of his room ,"

"I see..." you mumbled . " He most likely wants him to do his investigation out of the computers , to do it by being in direct contact with his environment , " you continued . Crewel really did want him to prove that he can get out of his room you thought , seemed a bit unfair but wise. Ortho now seemed to be really inspired by your words , he hadn't thought of Crewel actually having a purpose under his ask . He thought that the main problem was with his brother's researches not being good enough . " If that's why , then we can do it right now for him ! We already have whatever we might need for a great research and so he would no longer be rejected from his classses ! "

" Plants...? " you asked , pretty unsure if this was going to help . It's true that Crewel wasn't looking for a strong yet totally online essay but it didn't enusre him liking one about flowers grown in Night raven college itself either . " Yes , flowers would be a perfect case since they're grown outdoors , just as Mr. Crewel wanted ! Also if we collect samples from them he can no longer claim that all those information were found through the internet , a real success ! " Ortho seemed pretty confident about his idea , but you couldn't let him do anything if that was going to be useless : " True , but doesn't he know everything about all plants here already ? After all they're all pretty exposed to anyone passing ," you said , but Ortho disagreed : " I've donemy research with that , Night raven's thousand-year old history had been through plenty of ups and downs , some rare species which are long extincted out there , remained here from decades ago , which proves that there are pretty worthy plants left here that Crewel would die to know about ; he would do anything to add new species to his collection . Also , it was only mentioned that Night Raven college has at least more than 250 unique plant species , which means that there isn't even any sure number or limit to them , that would be amazing , (y/n) ! No one has ever thought of doing it before ! We would be the first ones !"

You didn't know if that was a good idea or not , but you had to admit that you were impressed . This college surely did keep tons of mysteries within and you couldn't find any of them without a bit of risking .

" Fine Ortho , I'll take care of it then ," you said , preparing yourself for a long journey : " First , we'll try to collect samples from each specie that we see , then schedule each and every of them , submit details into a chart and finally , check the data with a reliable source to identify each and every of them , that would make a high-key strong disquisition ! " you told Ortho , making him nod happily and give you a tight hug : " Thank s (y/n) ! You're the best ! "

You hugged him back and then decided to start : Okay , first we need to get some small bottles , like the ones used in lab to keep magical materials , we shall go get so-" you couldn't continue as Ortho murmured : " Probe mode- open the toolbox " Suddenly three slides around his waist moved away and shelves filled with forceps , flacons , medicinal alcohol and tweezers , along with anything necessary for a professional sampler came out . You couldn't help but to be amazed , you didn't expect him to be this equipped .

" Seems like brother had optimized me to be in charge of investigations as well , he hadn't mentioned many of them before ," he giggled , fascinated himself facing how well prepared he was . " Wait , I guess we don't have to collect samples one by one , just as you said , Crewel already knows plenty of them . Let's just collect special ones ," he said before making strange sounds again : " Automated analysis -activate! - goal: identification of rare species -" He continued to make strange sounds as he analyzed the whole area , his body bizarrely moving on it's own and making weird sounds which each specie being identified : Primorose-sweet pea-Red valerian- borage-bluebells- woodruff-...

After about 5 minutes of analysis , his system got a new notification : " Error - Unknown-or-unrecognizable specie , located in five-o'clock position in a radius of five kilometers to south ," You two quickly went to the location as you were addressed , finding a small bush with a single blue-purple flower . Ortho gasped at the sight : "This is Eris's Orchid ! My brother had told me about them before ! These were told to be a symbol of bad luck back in my hometown , but brother said notto believe any of those words and that they were totally harmless . These flowers extincted in my hometown before my brother was born , I'd only seen old pictures of it . Brother will love this ! " Ortho's mechanical arms carefully picked the flower and placed it into a flacon and closed it . Ortho re-prepared his analysis sensors and said : " Okay ! One collected , way to go ! "

Idia was stressed out , the two of you had to be back hours ago . Did something bad happen ? Could it bd that Ortho had problems with his gears again ? Where were you ? How could he find you now !?

" Brotheeeeeeeeeeeeer !! " Ortho's call for Idia broke the silence loudly before kicking the door open with his rocket leg and wrecking it .

"Ortho , I'd told you not to wreck the door with your- waaa aah- ! " he led out a terrified scrram as he saw the huge board the two of you were holding by hand . " Sorrrry it took so long ! (y/n) suggested we finish sticking everything before we could've lost any of them so we did ! Hope that nothing is missing ," he said , putting the board slowly down so it wouldn't get any damaged . "Wha-what is this ??" Idia asks with his eyes wide open . "Your alchemy project , brother ! Mr Crewel wanted you to give something that required direct contact with nature , so here you go ! Best project ever ! " Ortho explained happily . You could see the light shimmering into his eyes , a light that proved how excited and happy he now was ; just as you wished him to be

Idia was at a loss of words , staring at the board with his mouth open as if he wanted to say something , but no sound came out . His eyes run all over the huge board ; fascinated and shocked at the same time : "Y-you...you two did really did discover more than 100 of ancient species !? My- many of these were considered to be long ago extincted - even the Eris's Orchid ! " Idia replied . He had studied Night Raven being rich in Biodiversity , but this was far greater than his expectations , specially now that he saw you two finding them .

You were relived to see him appreciating your work , even though he was expressing it in a pretty odd way : " So...Idia , you think that's good enough ?" you asked . Idia slowly raised his head and stared at the ground , still too shy to make an eye contact with you : "It's... perfect ," Idia mumbled shyly . Ortho led out a happy shout as he saw his brother satisfied . He quickly jumped into his embrace and hugs him , making Idia lose balance . "O- ORTHO- NO-," Idia shouted before they both fell to the ground . You gasped at the sight : "My god , you two alright !? "

You helped them both stand up and then , it was Idia's turn to speak : " Th-thank you . Both of you . I couldn't imagine someone going out of their way to do such a thing for me..."

"No," you cut him off . You turned toward Ortho and bowed down a bit to be at the same height as him : "It wasn't me , it was all because of Ortho . It was his idea to look for forgotten species and study them , he was the one who could find them using his analytical power and his studies and well-updated datas enabled us to identify each of them , he is really amazing ," Ortho gazed upon you with his eyes filled with disbelief . "I know, " Idia agreed . "Ortho is special and surely way greater than many out there , including me . But he still has hundreds of undetected abilities , which are unknown to even me . Because of someone like you , he discovered more of his abilities and grow even greater , right Ortho ? " Idia asked . Ortho nodded and then , gave you a really tight hug : " Thank you (y/n) , you are wonderful . Because of you my brother now won't get in trouble and I am now more equipped and mighty to be there for him , you are the best ,"

You held your tears of joy back from falling , knowing that they may bring pain to Ortho since he didn't know how to cry . Even Idia now was smiling at you , he seemed a lot more comfortable with you now ; just as he was with Ortho . Your heart as well drowned in joy as you saw Ortho the way you wished him to be : Happy

From the time her kid was four, Tammy Tangredi know that she had a tough job ahead of her.

She watched the way her brothers bristled at Anthony’s endless questions, listened as her mother told him to stop talking and just watch when he cooked with her in the kitchen. The day that she got a call from Anthony’s preschool telling him that he wouldn’t stop talking during nap time and that could she please explain to her son that constant questions are not appropriate, Tammy put on her face mask and got into bed and grumbled as she opened her latest in a series of mystery novels about murder and Italian cooking.

Anthony Sr., her husband, very cautiously asked her if anything was wrong.

Tammy huffed, inhaled, and neither of them got any sleep until well over an hour later. With that conversation-- fairly one-sided-- Tammy made a decision.

“You answer his questions or so help me,” Tammy said, leaning over her brothers’ shoulders as they worked on a car and Anthony, perched on a step stool, inquired after each tool.

“Here’s a book about food science,” she said, directing Anthony away from the kitchen when Mama got out the wooden spoon.

“I’m sorry,” Anthony Sr. said to the young lady who worked at the preschool after Tammy exploded, explicitly, on her after the next worried phone call.

People learned better than to question Anthony’s curiosity, after that.

It was about six months later when Tammy got the call from Anthony’s kindergarten teacher asking her to come in to talk about Anthony. Tammy put on her favorite yelling sweater, double checked her pepper-spray and bread knife in her purse (not for the teacher, but you never know), and drove down to Anthony’s school ready for a fight.

Anthony played with a puzzle on the floor as Tammy crammed herself into a too-small chair to glare heatedly at the kindly smile Ms. Cusano turned on her.

“Thank you for meeting me, Mrs. Tangredi,” Ms. Cusano said, “I had some concerns about Anthony’s behavior that I wanted to share with you.”

“He ain’t gonna stop asking questions,” Tammy burst out, harsh and unrepentant. Anthony, with his puzzle, did not seem fazed. Ms. Cusano was a different story. “He’s got a curious mind and I ain’t gonna have you going in and stiflin’ it. He’s a smart kid, he’s gonna get into a good school one day.”

Ms. Cusano blinked and, gamely, put on another smile. “Oh, I wouldn’t imagine trying to stop his curiosity, Mrs. Tangredi.”

Tammy halted in her anger, which was not unlike trying to stop a runaway train. She resettled herself in the ridiculously sized chair. “You’re not?”

“Oh, no. It’s so wonderful to see a child with such a natural love of learning.” Ms. Cusano picked up a manila file from her desk. “No, I was merely concerned because Anthony shows several signs of an attention-hyperactivity disorder.” She opened the file and took out a piece of paper, which she handed to Tammy. “I think with some help to focus, Anthony could really excel here.”

Tammy took the paper. At the top it said, My child has ADHD. What now? She frowned. She didn’t like the idea that something was wrong with Anthony, so he was a bit excitable, so sometimes he couldn’t sit still and other times she couldn’t pull him away from whatever he was doing. He was passionate. That was a good thing.

But as she skimmed the paper, her anger and apprehension began to ebb. Maybe... maybe Anthony would be better off if he could focus on one thing he liked for a while. Maybe it would be better for him.

Tammy then made a decision like she typically made her decisions-- swiftly and with no chance of a change.

“Thank you,” she said to Ms. Cusano and then pried her butt from the child chair, grabbed Anthony by the hand, and marched her way down to the pediatrician’s office. Her kid was going to get the best life he could or her name wasn’t Tammy Tangredi.

How do you think their feelings (Hamburr) would have developed in cannon era? Like during/before the war or after the war. And how strange it would have been for them because, you know, liking men in this time was wrong (though I think it's easier for Hamilton because of John)

Ahhhh, this is such a fun question. Be prepared for an essay lmao. I’m starting off with what’s basically a mini history lesson because I like talking about why I have headcanons just as much as talking about the headcanons themselves. See, you mentioned Alexander potentially handling it better because of his relationship with John and I do want to discuss that, but I wanna talk about Burr first.

The History Behind My Headcanon

So, Burr had a friend named Jonathon Bellamy (you probably already know all this, so bear with me, I’m getting to an explanation of my headcanon). And there’s a possibility they might have been more than friends. Bellamy was in the army as well, though they had known one another before. Burr describes him very fondly and the letter that is most well known between them is the biggest hint at something more, whether it be mutual or one-sided. It’s a letter from Bellamy to Burr, included in a book called “Memoirs of Aaron Burr”. He mentions a previous (and, as far as I know, lost to time) letter from Burr. It seems they hadn’t seen each other in a bit and were stationed far apart because Bellamy describes a dream he had in which he went to Burr’s tent and saw him. He ends the description of the dream like this:

The scene, on your discovering me, immediately changed to something more tender; but I won’t waste paper.

(You can read the rest of the letter + more about these two and Bellamy in general on this wonderful post.) There definitely seems to be a touch of romance, if not outright innuendo, in this letter. Although there are no letters from Burr to Bellamy that give an insight into the potential mutual feelings, it’s worth noting that Bellamy felt comfortable writing this letter and others to Burr. They don’t come across as jokey either.

Sadly, Bellamy died young and it seems to have hurt Burr quite a bit. The point I’m trying to get to is that I tend to involve this in my headcanons. I typically write Hamburr with the backstory of Aaron having been in a relationship with Jonathon and it changes things. It’s not a super long-lasting relationship, but it’s highly likely it could’ve been his first with a man (Burr was nineteen at the time and Bellamy not much older!). It ending in tragedy is definitely not helpful for future relationships and if you add that to some of the shit Burr went through as a kid? There would definitely still be some massive internalized homophobia there, though I do think having been with a man before would give him somewhere to work from.

It’s worth noting that I also personally think (think vs. believe, since I don’t think the evidence for this is substantial enough that I would argue it) that Laurens was the first man Hamilton was ever with romantically and, possibly, sexually. I’m not gonna go on some long rundown of why (maybe later), but I tend to write Laurens as being Hamilton’s first (and only, in historically accurate stuff) male romantic and sexual partner. Once again, it ends in tragedy historically and although I think Hamilton may have had less internalized homophobia than Laurens, he still obviously would have had some and struggled with it.

The Actual Headcanons

I’ll go over it how I usually write it. When they first meet (pre-war if you want musical canon, during the war if you want something a little more true to history) I would say there’s an attraction they probably don’t recognize. I’m going to assume we’re going with musical canon, so Jonathon Bellamy is still alive and Aaron has never experienced a poly relationship, so he’s committed. His lack of noting/admitting to an attraction could easily be attributed to the fact that A. he’s not interested in another partner and, thus, not looking, and B. Alexander is... a lot. Maybe too much, especially then. As for Alexander? Doesn’t even know he’s into men. Trust me, it’s mighty easy to not recognize attraction to the same gender for what it is when you’re attracted to the “opposite” gender too.

So they get along as well as they can. I wouldn’t call them friends—they’re not really around one another enough, with them being in the army and often in different locations. There’s a spark of a friendship there, though. A possibility.

I’d say it’s after the war ends and they’re home when things start, slowly but surely. The thing is, they’ve both lost. And Alexander’s lost recently. And he loves Eliza. He’s not looking for anything. He probably recognizes an attraction, but has little want to act on it. He might be wary to get close to anyone again, considering how many people he’s lost in general and it’s happened again.

And Aaron’s happily married as well. But the attraction’s there and he’s not necessarily ignoring it. Theodosia Sr. 100% know about it and teases him for it. But Alexander’s not receptive, so that’s that.

I’d say it’s some years in. They work together some, which forges a fiery friendship between not only them, but their families. Alexander is, shockingly, a comfort when Theodosia Sr. passes. He’s less pushy, less hard on Aaron in that time until things are stable again. He doesn’t necessarily know the right things to say, but he does, briefly, know how to shut up and lay off. It unintentionally shows that he cares enough to put an effort into it.

The feelings come and grow and they both know exactly what they are. They fight it because I mean really? Him? But also because there’s always the risks of two men, especially two men involved in politics that many, many people would enjoy knocking down a peg or ten. Then there’s Eliza, who isn’t even a third as blind to it all as they assume she is (not because they think she’s a fool, but because they think they’re good at hiding it for.................some reason). Of course they end up getting irritable towards one another because of it, taking out their own frustrations on one another.

Honestly, they’re both the type to have “the cord snap” and just suddenly kiss or misspeak and confess. And then fight it, especially Aaron. It’s a struggle before either can accept it and open up to it, and that’s not even getting into Alexander discussing the situation with Eliza. I think it would take the hardest thing for them both for them to “officially” get together: they’d need to talk. About each other. About their feelings. About John Laurens and Jonathon Bellamy. Do you have any tropes that you especially love reading and/or writing about?

I’ve been thinking about this for DAYS, anon. Because I don’t know the proper, official-like names of tropes and a lot of things that I wouldn’t necessarily consider a trope IS considered one in fandom…? I’ve only been doing this since September (though Oct. is when I really dug into it) and wasn’t as immersed until I got a Tumblr (in like, Nov. I think). So, I went searching online and just fell down a rabbit hole of fanfiction data and essays, research, and analysis (which I love, btw, so thank you).

So I’m just gonna respond with what I look for and if it’s a trope then yay! :D

When I’m reading (and even writing) I’m drawn to a lot of AU’s. I like familiar characters in fun, new settings. There was a time when I wouldn’t touch these. I just didn’t see the point. But a couple great writers pulled me in anyway.

Mpreg also used to be squicky and now I really like it. This is probably the weirdest one for me because I have a very real fear of pregnancy. Which makes the fact that I also like ‘forced pregnancy’ in fic super confusing.

I like age differences (this is probably my oldest ‘kink,’ my friends and family still make jokes about my attraction to old men, though I think my parents found it significantly less amusing when I was 12), size differences, sketchy ass power dynamics, power dynamics in general.

And I think it’s pretty obvious that I like when all the above dips into darker territory. I like villain/hero pairings and AU’s with villainous versions of heroes.

I also really like fluffy stuff (as long as it has sex… I often filter by rating). I like those coffee shop AU’s and no-cape AU’s and delightful little fics where everyone is nice and the interactions are sweet.

Sadly I can’t write fluff to save my life. I REALLY want to… I’ve been trying. And because most of my multi-chapter fics are darker, I try to write lighter one-shots (though all these Ra’sJay asks are skewing my ratio ;) ) But even then, they’re not ‘dark’ but they often have angst or rough consensual sex or dom/sub overtones…

Honestly, when I look for stuff to read I go by pairings, then rating, and I’ll pretty much read anything there. Sometimes I’m in the mood for whump, for darkfic, sometimes I’m in the mood for something a little lighter, but I’m almost always in the mood for angst.

For pairings, it’s pretty much any batfam. I don’t read much Dick/Tim but I go there when I’m caught up on the others. I’m one of like 17 people who like DamiJay and one of probably 3 people who are head over heels for Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Sr./Father Todd and I did that rarepair hell to myself (my favorite fic I’ve written is the Flashpoint AU with adult!Damian al Ghul, Father!Todd, and Batman!Thomas Wayne).

I like SuperBat with bottom!Bruce. I like Midnighter with Dick (and to a lesser extent Jason) and I like Apollo with Jason (and to a lesser extent Dick) and since that last one isn’t really a thing, I’m going to write it myself :D I like TimKon.

And I like everyone with sundry villains :D

RE: Violent Femmes or "My mind created that demon"

TW: discussion of self-harm

It’s been a minute. A lot has happened but between SRS recovery and COVID-19, it doesn’t feel like that much time has passed. I’d like to go back to updating this again.

Lately, I’ve been getting more into streaming and decided to revisit one of my favorite games, The Missing: J.J. Macfield and Island of Memories. It’s a gem that has lived rent free in my head since I first played it and revisiting it after having sorted more of my own queerness opened up some new interpretations in my mind. I’m also writing a longer video essay script, but there is one thing I wanted to get onto “paper” as quickly as possible; I want to talk about the Hairshreiker.

Quick spoiler for the game. The Missing follows the protagonist, J.J. Macfield, through an increasingly surrealist adventure across an island in pursuit of her “friend” aka girlfriend Emily. Along the way, she discovers she has the ability to recover from grievous bodily harm. What follows is a journey of setting yourself on fire, dismembering yourself to just a head and throwing your limbs around in order to solve puzzles and progress. As your progress, things become increasingly surreal culminating in the reveal that J.J. is a trans woman currently dying following a suicide attempt. With the exception of the text messages that outline the events leading up to her attempt to take her own life, everything in the world has a deeper symbolic meaning relating to her history and sense of self.

At various points in the game, J.J. encounters the Hairshreker. As it gives chase, the player will need to run away and solve puzzles in order to escape to the next area. For as much as there is to say about this game and as much has already been said, I didn’t find much about the Hairshreiker while googling around. The consensus I did find proposes that the creature represents J.J.’s dysphoria or regret or having been assigned male at birth. I don’t disagree with that, but there are some specific things about the way the creature was designed speak heavily to me and so I’m gonna tell you about them!

So breaking it down, the first thing that jumps at me when I look at this design is that the creature is unmistakably feminine. When they first appear, they saunter and sashay before breaking into a run. They even playfully place a finger on their cheek and pop out their hips at points during the chase. Simply put, the Hairshreiker is hot, seductive and showcases an exaggerated notion of femininity. Despite this, the creature is also grotesque with alien movements, a shrill wailing voice and sickly white skin. These two dissonant facets of the design are in chorus rather than at odds and combine to create a creature that is both alien and alluring. It’s also worth pointing out that the wig J.J. is wearing in the image sent around her college is very similar to the Hairshrekier’s own hair.

The second thing that comes to mind, is the image of the bright red box cutter contrasting against a ghostly white hand. It went over my head at first, but a friend pointed out to me that Japanese media has a strong association between box cutters and self-harm. Considering that the art gallery also has an image of J.J. self-harming with a box cutter despite it never occurring in the game, this choice must have been deliberate. The Hairshrieker is never seen without the box cutter in hand. Since the story of the game is a dream, we can only assume that the connection between these different forces represents something significant in J.J.’s mind. To her, this warped image of a feminine self is deeply connected to her suggested history of self-harm.

I’ve talked on this blog before about how I knew I was trans from a young age. I also knew that my position as the oldest child and having been named after my father meant that my parents had big expectations for me. I knew that telling them my secret wouldn’t go over well so I lived for ~26 years knowing for every minute that I would have been happier having been born a girl. My parents took me to therapists trying to find out why I was so unhappy. My memory of that period is hazy, but most of those therapists must have had some idea what was really going on with me. One of them even tried to suggest to my mother, without outing me, that their child wanted to be someone else. My mother disagreed and we started seeing someone else soon after.

Knowing that my parents wouldn’t approve meant that I had to repress my desire to be a woman. Repression isn’t a passive process, it’s something you have to actively keep up with. Dysphoria and the desire to transition would creep up on me and I’d have to find new ways to choke it back down. As a kid, I remember visualizing my desire as an over-the-top feminine sentai monster that I would have to defeat. Other times, coping with dysphoria meant punishing myself for once again having such a selfish desire to be a woman. After all, how could I be the good kid my parents wanted me to be if I had this awful secret that I knew would hurt them?

Years of repression warped my relationship with femininity into something monstrous. It was something that I had to actively avoid and it only got worse as I got older. Seeing a partner’s vanity table stressed me out. Even walking past cosmetic isles in stores was harrowing. I had created a monster out of myself. All those fantasies about striking it down never worked, it always came back. Deep down, I knew that if it caught up to me, then I would have to accept a truth about myself. In a sense, I would die.

So how does this all come back together with The Missing? In a game where J.J. is able to recover from almost any injury, the Hairshrieker is one of the only things that can actually kill her. In her dream, being caught by the monstrous image of femininity that she created is one of the only real threats. As the game progresses, it becomes harder to escape. During the final escape sequence, there are even some cases where getting cut is unavoidable. The only way to progress and temporarily escape from J.J.’s monstrous sense of femininity is to give in to self-destruction. Sometimes those injuries feel like they’re helping you in the moment.

That does change however when you reach the finale of the game. J.J. accepts herself, her desire to transition and that the Hairshrieker is a part of her. That acceptance gives her the power to finally put it to rest and find peace living as her authentic self.

Maybe I’m reaching here, but at least some of these connections between femininity, shame, repression and maladaptive coping feel deliberate. Even if they aren’t, the image of the Hairshreiker will stay with me for a long time. There are some other thoughts I have about characters in this game that I might share in the near future as well. For now, I can at least say I didn’t go a year without updating this blog!

I bought my first bralette today and a the first belt in about two years. I have never really felt so confident as I do in this moment. So I want to tell my story. Disclaimer: I'm a sappy person and I've been wanting to post this for a while. so get ready. So in 2016 I wanted to live me more, is was the goal after the shittiest year that 2015 was. That year I was 245lbs. I didn't like the way I looked or sounded or even acted. I had horrible depression anxiety and self harm problems. Things only seemed to get worst by the end of the Sr year of high school. I felt left out because all of the people I was close to where dating someone and didn't seem to care about me. I ended up having a fling and it left me feeling dirty. When I ended it I had made a new friend and she was in the end of her relationship. I saw she liked someone. I told her, after I kissed her, that I liked them too. I didn't (sorry love) but I wanted her to be with him and she thrives under competition. When they got together I was left in almost the same spot. Alone. I tried to reach out to my best friend before her but when I went over to her house or try to make plans she seemed awkward and cancel them. In fact she got mad at me because I tried to make a Christmas party bigger with more people I found out months later that she told me she canceled it only to have it with her boyfriend and a few. other people. Yes I know about that and it hurts. I became close to those who wanted my time. I didn't stop trying to be everyone's friend though. If stop in the halls and stand there. I could honestly go on and on about my attempts to just stay close to those who I knew. It became pointless. One of my dearest friends started to try to end a very abusive relationship I would like to say that I hope me and him can continue to support each other through everything we do. He and other mutual friends in later months told me all that my best friend had done or said in regards to my hurt feelings. By the time graduation has round I've completely given up, that my best friend for three years was happy I cried over her, that my support system didn't care. So desperate to be wanted I dated someone who is a poor poor fit for me it only lasted about a month and I made the mistake of going back to my fling. Sadly the loss of my best friend wasn't the worst to happen in 2015. My fling "loved" me. He stuck his dick in me knowing I didn't want to have sex. Many times. He held on so tight every time I tried to leave his house because I stayed with some one who used my body to masturbate with. This went on for most of the summer it was an aggressive like it was the first time we had sex many times and I thought it was fine. I didn't understand I didn't want that. When I stopped talking to him he showed up at my work fucked up at 4 am. I felt bad for him and so I was going to give them a ride home he wouldn't get out of my car at his house and insisted we went to "our spot" one last time. He kept trying to tour my face so I went so he'd stop touching me. When we got there I stayed two arm's-length away from him. Then when I went to leave he kissed me. When you're being kissed a few hundred feet above water you can't go far. It was so aggressive. I didn't talk afterward. He just kept saying if I'm not the last I'll be the best. You weren't. I never talked to him after that other then don't talk to me. I didn't tell anyone about it until about a month later because I thought I consented before and then I realize I never really did I just became implied because he took it from me once why should I stop him a second third or fourth time. I hated myself so much that I was concerned I was gonna try and kill myself again. I've been working on a tattoo that said myself over a heart so I got it because I had to start loving myself. I got it over a self harm scar I got at the end of my junior year of high school I was taken to the ER over it. I went to college parties and made out with boys and I cried. All I could think was him touching me and grabbing me and hurting me. For some reason I got my work placed it up to me and I wanted him to a knowledge me. Our very short shorts when I came in to check my schedule when I knew he was working and he checked out me. One of my English assignments was to create an argumentative essay about rape. It was hard. So ducking hard. I brought it to work and sat down in the back booth and it up telling the guy was trying to attract about how it has happened to me and how writing this paper was hard. Encouraged me and told me about what happened to him when he was 11 years old. For A month after I turn in my paper and we talked and flirted constantly. After so much I got put on of third shift he was managing it was so slow I farted all night and about 20 minutes before the opening manager came in I kissed him because he made a remark about how he wouldn't kiss me because I cried when I kissed boys. I woke up gitty and unafraid. A few days later I almost cut off two fingers. The end of the year we came to rollaround and he gave me my first New Year's kiss. Thanks to him and my current friends I made it to 2016 and that year I decided it was for me. It was for me to love me and put me first and for me to realize that none of my past was worth it. In 2016 I was a vengeful and petty I found out so many things with Heather true or not does not matter I found out how much I was blamed for it only made me angry and disappointed. I found out what a big whore and lead on I was in high school even though it only dated three people. I found out the way people felt about me or at least what they were told. That year I wanted to do something that seemed so stupid I wanted to be a model so I did it. I went to two different talent agencies and chose the one that didn't creep me out. After about a month there I found out that my ex best friend was employed under them. There is a moment that one over me of maybe somehow will end up friends out of this again like they do in movies. Now I realize there would be no point and that if we ever see each other we should probably just act if we were strangers. That would be hard because I'd like to tell you how incredibly wrong you are in so many ways of so many things you assumed. And these are things that I've assumed these are things that your best friends have told me. And it's not because I contacted them because they were hurt by you. And 2016 most of my friends left my part of the states going on to bigger and better things. Happy for them I was sad and alone however I have this boy who somehow made me feel amazing about myself again. 2016 I got back on my feet I didn't hate myself I mean there are moments that were hard of course but I had someone to pick me up every step of the way. There are times I don't know what to say to those who I care about and I wish there was just a phrase I could say and they would understand but there isn't. Thank you and I love you it's not good enough for them. Now in 2017 I am strong I am brave and I am loved by so many people by myself that I can post pictures of myself in a bralette. I can show my progress and working out and being healthier and I am on afraid. I will take whatever consequences I have to to become the person I want to be. So if you read this thank you for your concern I am a better person now possibly thanks to you. ✌🏼️

I have never had car insurance in my name before and I am 20 so I am getting quoted from every company for at least 300 a month. The car i'm planning on buying is a 2007-2010 mazdaspeed3. Would I be able to have the car insurance in my fathers name while the title of the car is under my name?

In 2005, as part of our divorce agreement, my ex and I decided to keep the same auto insurance but under separate policies. We had been with this company for years. My policy was on auto pay meaning that the payments were taken directly from my account. He walked in to pay his. About 6 months after the divorce, I was pulled over for a routine traffic stop and was told I was driving an uninsured vehicle. Without insurance, my registration was also invalid. Both tickets totaled 1K. My car was taken into impound. I checked and found the officer was correct. On good terms with my ex, I told him what happened. He said for the past 6 months, each time he went in to make a payment, the girl HIS was already paid. Realizing what had happened. They were applying my payments to his automobile. I was furious. I notified the agent who initially did not want to accept blame, but since the payments were automatic and my account number was on each payment they took, they were responsible. The error was compounded by the fact that the cancellation notice went to HIS address (how dumb was that!) So I had no way of knowing that I was cancelled. I was without a car for 2 weeks and lost my job. After much haggling and many sleepless nights of wondering what to do without a job or a car, the insurance company finally admitted blame, paid the impound fees of $1,250.00. The agent also said they would handle the 2 tickets totaling 1K. FAST FORWARD TO 2010 in my state, the county did a scofflaw sweep and I was summoned to court with over 5 thousand other delinquent drivers to address unpaid tickets. The order was come to court by April 30th or be arrested. Realizing this had to be a mistake, but fearful of the law, I stood in line for over 5 hours in blazing heat, then sat in court another 5 hours waiting for my day in court. I was immediately threatened with arrest because the 2 tickets were not paid. Up to that moment, I had no idea the insurance company had not paid the 2 tickets. This time, not only was my insurance and registration cancelled, my license was suspended due to the age of the infraction (5 years). In front of the judge, I called the agents' office only to be told by the secretary that they had no intention to pay the ticket. Paying to get the car out of impound was enough. When the judge heard this she was shocked and let me off with a promise to pay in 5 days. She made me promise not to drive. With no way to get home but drive, I took a chance, and was pulled over. The officer informed me that due to the vast number of outstanding cases, tags bearing our county name would be targeted for a while (talk about a police state!). I showed him my documents from the court and headed home. This is a nightmare. Would I have a case if I filed suit against my insurance company for failing in their fiduciary responsibility to a 16 year client in good standing? By the way this company is one of the largest in the country.""

Ok the situation is as follows: I am selling my car for a new one. I have asked my current insurer to transfer my policy to the new car which is fine.
