I think it’d be really funny if we misinterpreted Kaeya’s antagonism towards Venti being related to his status as archon, and just assumed Kaeya was vengeful and found out somehow who Venti truly was, only for Kaeya’s supposed dislike of Venti to actually stem entirely from his overprotective instincts and Diluc complaining about that bard never paying for anything and generally being a nuisance.

At the same time, maybe Kaeya’s learned to find some sort of solidarity with Venti because he knows that Diluc’s love language is grumpily complaining about someone all the time and still letting them get away with everything anyway.
