The first time Sonic went Super in Road Trip wasn't exactly as stunning to Tails as other au's and stories.

Tails is like maybe 5 here (I'm not actually that organized on the timeline for this au yet, I'm getting there though, things are getting in order.) and he wasn't forced to grow up and be a hero in this au. So he's a bit more childish than canon Tails because he doesn't feel as pressured to mature and grow up fast. Plus, he genuinely thinks Sonic is going to die and this is the last time he see's him, so tears are bound to come down.

Part 1

in my opinion, qphil isolating and exiling himself is only going to make things worse or delay the inevitable: as shown yesterday the enderking wants qphil to isolate, to not tell anyone, and luckily for our evil demigod that is exactly how qphil operates. he holds secrets in hopes of not hurting others, not getting them involved. and we just saw what happens when he has a support network helping him, he broke free from enderking’s grasp even for a moment. but that bit is not the only reason why his isolation is playing straight into enderking’s hands: it’s his insecurities as well. ”i’m a shit dad” ”i need to prove myself worthy of protecting” ”i need to provide better for the family” ”i need to be stronger” - all insecurities that are qphil’s downfall. enderking has already played into his need to provide for the kids as well as the want to be stronger (the buffs in the dungeon), what’s stopping him from digging his claws further to qphil’s core, his insecurities and weaknesses now that he has no one to break him out of his self-deprecating loop? when all he has are his thoughts, the caws of a crow and the voice of him? if no one finds him in exile, i think he will lose himself again, betrayed by his own mind

i dont kno if it is jus a glitch on m phone or part of the game but during xianyun’s story quest i couldnt help but notice somefing different about xiao ..! t’s his eyes ! theyre more green than usual ! hehe they look like lil cups of matcha lattes 🍵 — it seems to make him appear more approachable .. at least , such is how i feel :-D

I feel like will's "and because I wanted to run away with him" admission in aperitivo is that kind of thing you say where you're only realizing just how true something is, how much you actually mean what you say in the very moment as you say it.

he's looking up almost as if he's had an epiphany – because he's saying all the things he's never said out loud before, never admitted to anyone else (maybe not even fully to himself): he wanted hannibal to run, he was on his side in the end. and the words get harder to get out but after they do – "because he, he was my friend" – they sit right with him, they're so undeniably true no matter how much he may struggle with them. he chose too late but he did chose him, he did want what hannibal had offered him and a part of him will always do.
