Be respectful of other people's time. If you make plans with someone else, avoid being late (at least beyond fashionably late) or flaking on them last minute, and especially avoid being a no-show. This is especially applicable for time sensitive things, such as going out to a movie or live performance.
This also applies to appointments with professionals, such as hair appointments, nail appointments, ect. Because the person you've made an appointment with is likely a working class person just trying to earn a living and make it through the day, but when their clients are late this can affect their ability to keep their work schedule and keep all their clients happy, as well as keep them at work late and affect their personal life (such as being late to pick up their child from day care because they had multiple clients who were late to their appointments that day)
Flaking last minute on appointments also affects their livelihood, as it can be hard to fill an appointment time slot last minute so this can affect their earnings for the day. Respect working professionals by respecting the appointment times you've made with them to the best of your ability.
Of course, life happens. We all forgot things, and we all have unforeseen circumstances pop up which force us to be late or cancel plans. But it is important to at least make an effort to be on time, and to honor the plans you've made, so as to be respectful of other people's time and energy.
If you must, set phone alarms and/or leave notes for yourself.
Part of this is being honest with your friends about making plans you don't actually want to do. It's better to be honest with your friend that you don't want to see that movie with them on that night, rather than lying and faking interest only to flake last minute. With the former they could have planned more accordingly and found someone else to go with or even been prepared to go alone if they wished, with the latter you are wasting their time and energy.
Again, life happens, sometimes the bus or train is late, sometimes the traffic is worse than we anticipated, sometimes health problems crop up. But at least make an effort to be on time and honor the plans you've made, as this is more respectful to other people's time and energy. When we make no effort to be on time or honor the plans we've made this can come across as disrespectful to other people's time and energy. Your time and energy is not the only time and energy that matters.

i wondered if villainy was like armstrong feint, someone once kind and gentle who lowered himself into treachery, or more like a mysterious beast, hidden in the depths and summoned to wickedness. but all these questions seemed wrong.

don’t get me wrong i do really love bbc sherlock for a lot of reasons but something that consistently makes me sad about it is that im not convinced watson really loves sherlock all that much? of course there’s the whole queerbaity song and dance they do, but i feel like a pretty fundamental part of watsons character in any adaptation is his devotion to sherlock (platonic or otherwise,) and in this adaptation, that isn’t exactly framed as something which watson likes about himself. or likes participating in. i have no problem believing sherlock loves watson (in whatever form that takes,) but it seems as though IF watson reciprocates, he does it grudgingly at best.
there are, of course, moments where this is an interesting frame, interesting in that it provides very dramatic moments where watsons heart can overpower his head and he reveals the extent to which he does care for sherlock — in season one, his grabbing moriarty and telling sherlock to run, as one example.
ultimately, though, i think this interpretation of watson as fighting an internal war against his devotion to sherlock is breeding ground for extremely angsty fan speculation (which is a significant contributor to bbc sherlock’s massive popularity about a decade ago,) but, at least for me, makes it not quite as fun or lighthearted as the original stories, for example, or granada holmes.

When having a conversation with others, make sure everyone in the conversation is getting a chance to speak and everyone who is speaking gets a chance to finish their thought. Avoid speaking over others or cutting others off. Even if you do accidentally interrupt someone before they had a chance to finish their thought, give them a chance to finish by saying something along the lines of "sorry for interrupting, please continue what you were saying"
And, if you do notice someone in the group keeps trying to speak but someone else keeps speaking over them, or someone else speaks first every time they try to open their mouth, you can create an opening for them by saying "what did you want to say?/what was it you were saying?" or you can look at them after someone else in the group has spoken over them / cut them off and say "go on, I'm still listening" to make them feel heard and included.
Ideally in a conversation everyone deserves equal speaking time, and everyone deserves to finish their thought. If someone is dominating the conversation by not giving others the chance to speak and interrupting others before they can finish their thoughts, it can give the impression that they view what they have to say as more important and more valuable that what others in the conversation have to say.
Likewise if someone isn't getting the opportunity to speak or finish their thought due to always being spoken over, it gives the impression that others in the conversation don't value what they have to say, that what they have to contribute to the conversation isn't as valuable or as important as what those dominating the conversation are contributing.

Okay I am putting out a call for help finding a Wolfstar fic for @strugglequill :) My bookmarks are failing me:
-It takes place the summer before OOTP. It covers the time period after the Order takes over Grimmauld but before Harry actually arrives.
-The main plot of the story involves Sirius spiraling mentally (and eventually they figure out a sinister, magical reason for the spiral).
-HOWEVER, the part that sticks out for me most is that Remus had an accurate full moon transformation, i.e. it lasted multiple days and he remained a wolf in the daytime.
-Also there was a scene where Ginny and Hermione get to pet Moony and sink their fingers into his soft fur. I don't know why I remember that bit.
-I'm fairly certain it was rated T or under and wasn't terribly long - maybe 15K?
-Kreacher was an asshole to Moony.
