I would love to design a bunch of Gallifreyan fashion for each Chapter and House it seems so fun #I also wanted to draw a Gallifreyan night!! since I never see any depictions of it even tho the planet should have nights #even if it's a binary system since the orbits would have to be very large for gravitational stability both suns would set at similar times #anyway I'll stop talking lmao 🫡

Thinking about better call saul if the action took place in france just because I wanted to see them in cunty robes lmao. More thoughts under the cut!

Obviously the action and the whole premise of bcs/brba wouldn't work in france (legal system aside, the whole cartel and walter white storyline would have to suffer major changes due to social security and the mexican cartel well. not existing here stricto sensu). But let's talk about the real Important Stuff : their names

I think Howard Hamlin would work well as Edouard Hamelin. He looses the cool HH initials yes, but it works really well as a genuine french name imo, and Howard/Edouard are pretty close phonetically

Chuck could still be called Charles without any realism issue, but he'd be nicknamed Charlie rather than Chuck because that's what a french person would go for... nicknames don't work the same, yeah

Kimberly Wexler and James McGill, I have no idea lmao. James when translated becomes Jacques, but it's such a boomerish uncool name that I cannot resolve myself to call my boy like that. It's also one generation too old. Jimmy being born in '60 could technically be called Jacques, but it'd be old-fashioned, as it's a name mostly given to the kids of the decade that came before him. McGill is an irish name, so something funny could be making Jimmy a breton with a funky last name like Gall/LeGall ? That's hilarious to me. But who knows.

Saul Goodman is a pun, so this is even harder for me to conceptualize. Saul's marketing would definitely not work in france at all, as no one would realistically hire a lawyer with a puny name and such chaotic displays (+ I think ads for legal démarchage are illegal mind you). However, let's have a crack at it. It would have to be a pun based off an expression similar to "it's all good man", or implying something positive and familiar... I need to think on that one.

“Since when did you have a kid?!” He doesn’t think he’s ever seen Gordon so shocked, which is surprising.

He blinked, glancing down to where Dick was scribbling in his notebook with a matching robe on before looking back up at the older man. How long has it been…? Oh. “Since six months ago…?” he trailed off at the strangled noise the commissioner made.

“Did… I can’t believe I’m going to ask this,” Gordon whispered. “Did you steal a child Bruce?”

He blinked again, confused. Did he? No, he was going to go with no. “No?” Honestly he might have more confusion in his voice than the other did. What was so surprising- Oh!

“I have a foster license,” he informed his… friend? Ally? Ally worked. He informed his ally. “But we’re waiting for the adoption to go through.” Technically he could pay to speed it up but that would also risk media coverage which he didn’t want, nor did Dick need it. Reporters were like vultures, he swore.

Well, actually, at least vultures were an important part of their ecosystem so there was that.

Gordon breathed a quiet curse, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Okay, alright, sure, you’ve had a kid for six months and somehow no one has found out, alright.” Well it wasn’t like he liked going out into public so that had honestly probably helped.

“You couldn’t have,” the red-haired man made some sort of motion with his hands. “I don’t know, warned me ahead of time before someone broke into your house? What if someone had taken the kid?!”

Bruce frowned, nose scrunching up at his own distaste at the thought. “I wouldn’t let them,” he informed Gordon seriously.

“How, Bruce? You can’t fight and would get hurt yourself, then what?” Well he could fight, even if people didn’t realize that with how passive he acted in public. “How did you even get a child, you’re never even out?”

“A big bat-thing dropped me off!” Dick was the one to cheerfully answer, causing another officer to choke while Gordon looked close to having a stroke, looking between the two of them.

Stewjoni people are all werewolves, even prim and “that’s so uncivilized” Obi-Wan Kenobi, but it doesn’t usually affect him much at all, because the artificial full moon on Coruscant doesn’t trigger his transformation -- he spends most of his time on the planet and almost never experiences his “wolf” side as any travel he does falls on days when there isn’t a full moon, so most people don’t even know he’s Stewjoni.

This changes when Anakin becomes his padawan because now he’s taking him off-planet on missions so often that he’s experiencing way more partial transformations. He has enough control that even on full moon nights, he doesn’t go full wolf, but his instincts take over and he becomes more violent, more protective, more sensitive to smells along with minor physical changes when his control slips.

It’s still not much of a problem. They just schedule their off-planet trips when there won’t be a full moon on their destination planet, and if there is, Obi-Wan deals with it the best he can, and Anakin deals with an overprotective and coddling Master for a few days.

But then the Clone Wars break out, and scheduling their trips to planets based on that planet’s lunar cycles is impossible because there are so many other priorities; Obi-Wan and his troops need to go where the fighting is; no one is able to predict how long a siege would take anyway.

And then Dooku’s seen on a planet in the Mid-Rim. Obi-Wan and Anakin are deployed to capture him immediately. The only problem is this planet has like. eight moons, and at least one is always full. No one realizes how much the moons are affecting Obi-Wan until Dooku taunts Anakin about the loss of his arm, and Obi-Wan responds by ripping his throat out with his teeth.
