Fazbear Funland is an au and timeline rewrite made by myself and @galacticaldisaster which takes place after Pizzaria Simulator and entirely in a Theme-park managed by Fazbear Entertainment!

Starting off as a humble family business, the concept of dinner and entertainment was one that Fazbear Entertainment was not willing to let go of following a couple of the owner's "missteps". Refining robotics as we know it allowed them to create a truly safe and fun place for kids and grownups alike without the burden of being reminded of just what foundation this entertainment empire was built off of; a madman who lost himself in grief, his lunatic son, and his pyromaniac business partner.

The past having been watered down to mere stories, they've been turned into selling points for the guests to this theme park, with only a select few believing in them; fun-hating conspiracy theorists… or fanatics who will do anything to learn the full story…

We Assure you! Nothing will catch on fire this time! :]

Ok, here it is...

Loss and gain

The light was pouring out of what looked like a thousand of windows, adding to your resentment. The people inside were making the merriest of the merries, as you were only left to wonder what had caused such a burst of cheer.

Whatever it was, you had not been considered a person important enough to deserve your place among the celebrators. Among the musicians, at the very least. The neglect was more offending, since you’d counted the so forgetful dwellers of the house among your friends.

And now couldn’t be so sure any longer.

The thought weighed unpleasantly on your mind since the morning, when you’d noticed the first preparations for the feast. As boring a life as you led, you’d been eager to partake in something to brighten it up, and the surprise of no suggestions of the kind was a rough one.

You sighed, telling yourself it was high time to leave and cease wounding your heart with the spectacle of the pleasure you’d been denied.

Would you have been that much of a burden?

Were you that unsavory a company?

“Enjoying your solitude, little neighbor?”

He had the most irritating manner of appearing by your side out of the blue, when you least expected it.

“Not anymore,” you muttered in a nasty sulky voice.

It had been silly of you to expect Haldir to have the temerity of looking guilty or thrown off his reserve.

“I wonder who’s to blame,” he encountered, untouched by the heavy hint in the greeting you’d bestowed upon him.

A particularly loud blast of laughter from the house interfered with your reply. You shrugged, averting your eyes to try and discern the silhouettes of the guests - to guess what had enlivened them to this extent.

“They must be really happy,” the words came out way more wistful than you wished.

“Some of them are. At least, they seem to be,” agreed he, “Are you not, little neighbor?”

You could never fathom why he insisted on calling you that. To your humble mind, the nickname was in a bad taste. It had you feeling more insignificant than you already knew you were. But you had yourself gulp it down each time, too polite to speak your annoyance.

It was such a trifle, after all, that you noticing it at all could only be an object of ridicule.

“I can you take you there, if that’s what you want,” offered he, leaning against the trunk of the mallorn, under the canopy of which you’d been pining away so pathetically.

“It’s called intruding, big neighbor,” you couldn’t restrain yourself from returning the favour for once. Alas, by the looks of it, his prideful self strangely enjoyed it – at least, his smirk didn’t testify to the contrary. Oh perhaps, he hadn’t let it grasp his attention at all.

“Not when you’re invited.”

“I was not,” the objection seemed amiss to you.

“Their loss,” stated he calmly.

The hour was far beyond the midnight, and the celebration was waning at an unhurried pace. The joyful tunes became tamer, more hushful, then metamorphized into a languid ballad, long and saddening.

A/n: A Boromir x reader for the challenge of the lovely host @mismaeve for the Maeve’s January Tolkien Prompt Challenge

The prompt is “Have you no regrets?” I’m afraid, my take is very primitive, but that’s all I could come up with, and I really wanted to participate. :)

Warning: not exactly NSFW, so I guess the tag will be redundant, but it’s Mature.

Also tagging my dear @averil-of-fairlea for the reason of Boromir. :)

Anyway, let’s move to it.

Now

His eyes, so simply gray in daylight, showed all different in the glowing darkness of a Lorien night. Dark like the reflection of a storm cloud in a stirless lake. Coldish like the cruel steel of his sword. Deep like the waves, that had once closed over Númenor, hard and full of twisting shadows.

The air was tainted with the smell of your blood. Boromir could hardly fail to sense it, too, you could read it in his face, see it from the way his nostrils widened slightly, when he leaned over you for one last kiss. A satisfied hunter, still taut with the exertion of the chase and murder, but already triumphing over his prey.

This one had come too easy for him, your feared.

The two of you both marred the place and blended with it perfectly.

“Are you cold?”

The quietest question you had ever heard of him. You smiled in your mind, too exhausted to let it show on your lips. He was so unlike himself, and still so much of what you’d known him to be.

“Not yet.”

His skin was cooling off against yours slowly, but he didn’t hasten to deliver you from his weight.

The core of you was sore and had already started throbbing vaguely. Oh, hadn’t he had the best intentions to be tame and gentle with you. You had turned them into nothing with your moans, kissed them into dust and drove him into frenzied near-madness quite deliberately.

It took him a while to recover from it, and now the after-thoughts were stealing in with him.

“Have you no regrets?” he asked, voice even, yet strained like a string on a verge of tearing.

It was a bitter pleasure to run your fingers through his hair, again and again. You wished you could make yourself memorize the feeling for the rest of your life.

“I don’t know this word,” you whispered, “I forgot it.”

A husky exhale left his chest. He shook his head, obviously even unaware that he was doing it.

You took a breath at last, as he placed himself by your side silently, sliding his arm under your neck to press you close into him.

The Golden – now Silver – Wood heaved a tired sigh, sending leaves into trembling and scaring off whatever curious spirits could be spying on you at this hour.

Without a word he brought your hand to his mouth and kissed your knuckles, then your open palm.

“Boromir?”

“Yes, love,” responded he softly.

It came out with such ease that you had no heart to voice your mind and shatter the peace that you had given him, if only for a moment.

Don’t die. Don’t leave me.

“No,” you said on a calming note, “It’s nothing.”

His “now” was still here. And you could only hope it was still strong enough to fight his “then”.

Well, well, since you liked Feel me so much, consider this to be a sort of a near-sequel for it. If something is wrong, sorry, a bad day today for me. Thank you for the request!

The urge to close his eyes is too strong, and Legolas succumbs to it almost with relief.

The sight of you is a torture.

You’re sleeping peacefully, a treasured prize in the circle of warrior’s arms, strong and jealous enough to keep you safe for as long as you allowed it.

Not his arms.

He was too late. Too fainthearted to face you in broad daylight. He found himself a dozen of better things to do, not a hard task for an Elf in an Elven realm…

His heart is festering with pain that he can find neither name nor remedy for.

A gift from you, concealed behind the sweetness of his name on your lips.

It’s hard to say what Legolas resents more – your games with his fancy or his own eagerness to ignore what he knows only too well. You do not care for him.

He could as well perish in the Halls of Moria, or long before that. You’d cry, perhaps, but not as it is fit to cry over the love that never came to be.

He’s not your friend, either.

He’s nothing, far less than the Man of the South, whose chest is burdened with the weight of your trust now. This one you feel at peace with, no matter how little affection is involved. Him you will see, as you open your eyes in the morning. He will return your smile and accept your gratitude for a night of tranquility.

You’re beautiful.

Legolas shudders hard, as the hand of the Gondorian wraps itself around your shoulder too tight for a friendly gesture.

He would never suspect it could take so little for every bit of selflessness to be ousted out of him.

He takes a step.

The feeling of your skin under his fingers breaks him yet again.

You flinch in your sleep, as the raw longing oozes from his fingertips and drips into your blood to bloom inside of you like wolf’s bane.

The man gives him a look, that promises no good.

“Her dreams are vile,” utters Legolas in a calm undertone, “She’ll be better now.”

In the Middle

Ok, @mismaeve, I KNOW it’s not exactly what you asked for, but, hmm, perhaps, you needed it? Just in case, don’t kick me too hard. Oh, and it’s also pretty short, with a lot to think up on your own.

I used two prompts for kisses, the one that you requested - A kiss that is leading to more, but is interrupted by a third party with Elrond - and something like A breathy demand: “Kiss me” - and what the other person does to respond - and here we’re in for a twist.

Anyway, here it is.

In the Middle

…two, three…

His each kiss came with a little gift.

A soft, teasing bite.

A word of admiration and want - a touch of air, barely above whisper, more tangible than audible.

A brush of soothing fingertips against your cheek.

A broken exhale he would let you scatter with a laugh or a moan of your own.

…seven, eight…

Just like always, you were your best pliant self, lending your mouth to him to try and bewitch you, and turn your mind, so ever-wakeful and loaded with mistrust, into a shrine of tranquility, to where only one worshipper was allowed, if not completely welcome.

The old game of give and receive, in which you were never the giver.

His arms were begging and insistent. You played along, a waxen likeness of a goddess under his hands, inviting him to mold you into whatever shape pleased him best.

And his kisses were an offering and a prayer, and you accepted both without a shadow of shame.

…eleven,…thirteen…

The door behind your back creaked open and was shut immediately. The rough sound brought you back to alertness. You flinched and stumbled in the middle of your count, pulling yourself out of his embrace, yet there was not a trace of a strange presence in the chamber already.

Just when you needed your peace so badly…

“I’m sorry,” you murmured more to yourself, than to him, half-relieved, half-repentant.

“You never need to be,” reproached he mildly, “Go rest, my heart, it’s getting late.”

Another kiss could make up for the crumbling hopes, but that you’d have to grant him on your own, and that wasn’t what you wanted now. Or yet.

It still felt sweeter to be lulled than to take care of someone else’s comfort.

You motioned to step back, caught off-guard by the last thing you would ask for this evening.

He stood in your way silently, a disdainful presence, radiating scorn and bitter understanding.

“You’re toying with him.”

The initial shock was wearing off little by little.

The choice of smiles you could give him was endless, but you didn’t settle for a kind one.

Intro

Hello and welcome to my side-blog in the 4 Monoliths!

My name is Michiru, I use she/her pronouns. I am an adult with a body that is 70% made out of movies and the remaining is just whatever things that are in my brain.

This is a side-blog that I dedicate to 2001: A Space Odyssey where all my reblogs, art, and reactions to the books will be documented. However this blog is also dedicated to Keir Dullea, the man behind the red spacesuit.

Of course, I sometimes post sci-fi (space) movies stuff here too if it tickles your fancy!

As for the blog URL starmanpromoter, here is how I got the name:

It is a combination between 'starman' and 'promoter';

starman -> Starman. Dave Bowman becomes the Starchild who will become the Starman

promoter -> from the Twitter account 'nugupromoter' (Nugu + Promoter) who posts about K-Pop idols who are 'Nugu (누구)' (lit. 'who') -- refers to K-Pop groups who are unknown to public/underrated.

What does this have to do with this blog? Simple, this series is pretty underrated. But also, Keir Dullea happens to be one of the more underrated actors from his time (sadly little-known by now). Therefore, he is technically an actor who is Nugu. Hence, 'starmanpromoter' --- promoting not only the underrated starman, but also the fandom.

The blog name '4 Monoliths' is a reference to 4 Walls, for those who don't know ^^

The 'f(D+F+H9K+H)' itself is a reference to f(x), it's f(Dave+Frank+HAL 9000+Heywood) by the way.

I don't have triggers so post away, but let me know if you have so I can tag. You're allowed to send NSFW stuff to me. Though I have one humble request: please do not follow my main, thank you. It's where all sorts of interests is in, including interests that are too obscure and out-there. This blog is made for a good reason.

Hello Sister, how can I help you and your brother spread the glorious Word of God? In the past on a differnt social media account I used to post Holy Bible verse. I still feel unqualified on spreading the Word, but I really want to do it. I don't feel comfortable showing my face or sharing my name, is that okay?

Fear not my brother or sister! You don’t need to show your face or even your name. Like me, I remain anonymous on this account (only sharing my name with those in DMs personally when I get to know them good) but I have never shown my face or anything else. I humbly admit that is the most successful tumblr account I have had not only follower wise -vs the time I had a bandom account long ago- but mainly it’s the prayer requests and the networking of other users! Tumblr and other social media are so great because you can make your own posts from the Bible or you can find pictures already on google images, for example. You can make your own content in so many ways. Art, music, audio, texts, rosaries, clothing, reaching out by prayer, sharing Bible verses, the possibilities are endless! Even just sharing and reblogging other people’s content is ok too. I feel unqualified as a lay person too but after taking the leap, I can personally say it was worth it. People are hungry for the Word of God all over social media, so you can pick any of them you like best! I’d follow you! ☺️ May God bless you.

RWBY Vol 8 Ep 7 has finally gone live for everyone and I really just want to talk about it for a second.

As Kerry and I mentioned on Stay Zen, this was always the plan and May being a transwoman is something that predates my being cast.

The past week has been pretty darn wild and I expect it to get even more so.

RWBY and RWBY Spoilers both got trending on Twitter and Tumblr last week with post of May’s on screen confirmation taking the number one spot on the RWBY tags ALL WEEK LONG.

RWBY was actually top trending on Tumblr on Saturday with the May post taking top spot.

You could say I was more than overwhelmed, I definitely wanted to start reblogging and retweeting all the art and such IMMEDIATELY, but... ya know, spoilers.

I waited a year and a half for this moment, what’s another week?

I say “I waited a year and half for this moment,” but really I’ve been waiting my whole life.

I’ve never seen anything quite like this and only ever DREAMED of something so wildly powerful and meaningful existing in media.

...and more than that, I’m the one who was blessed enough to get the chance to do it.

To get a bit personal, I’ve mentioned “my entire heart is in V8” and I think people finally understand why.

And, yes, this was the episode that got me crying for hours after we recorded it.

I was actually crying while delivering the lines for this, it was a lot for me.

Everything there hit so close to home for me that I requested those lines be saved for last in that session.

The CRWBY sound team, and the director of that session Dustin, being amazingly supportive absolutely said “of course.”

When we finally got to those lines the team kept checking and asking if I was okay to do another take. It was an emotional session for me and the love and care taken even in these VO sessions meant everything.

When I say I love CRWBY and that they care so deeply, I absolutely mean it.

You all saw the final product and I hope you felt it was real, was raw, and was powerful.

I poured my soul into the performance because I figured if this was my one and only shot to make something like this happen... I had to make it count.

This paired up with Kiersi’s powerful writing, I feel we did a great job.

As someone who is trans, this was everything I ever dreamed of seeing.

As someone who saw her VO career burst into flames after coming out, this was a moment of triumph.

As myself... this was my heart put on display for the world.

This was everything to me.

Now this where I thank Eddy, Kerry, Kiersi, Miles, and every member of CRWBY for how much care they put into May Marigold and how much love and support was given to me.

None of this would have been possible without every single person on the team being as open and kind as they are.

I love them all and I thank them for always listening to everything.

To the FNDM and RTCommunity?

You have no idea how much all the posts in support of May mean to me.

Seeing all the posts, the fanart, the fancams, the countless messages... EVERYTHING!

My heart is so full of joy every time I see them.

This much support for a trans character!? IT BLOWS MY MIND! I never thought I’d see the day!

And to those of you who’ve messaged me privately saying how much this meant to you?

That this has helped you realize who you are?

That this gave you the courage to come out?

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU ALL!

And I’ll keep working harder for you all, for myself, and for everyone. 💙🧡

I am so deeply humbled by everyone’s response.

The weight of this moment has been on my mind consistently throughout the year, we don’t GET moments like this.

... and hope I did a good enough job.

To wrap it up, I’ll say it again.

As the voice of May Marigold I’m here to confirm: Yes, May IS Henry Marigold’s cousin.

But far more importantly, May Marigold is the very first onscreen trans character, confirmed IN UNIVERSE ON THE SHOW, for RWBY!

Can ya believe it, folks? 💙🧡

PS:

There’s a post going around that points out May’s physical reaction to Weiss just before she speaks.

Something along the lines of “For a split-second May wasn’t in that room anymore, was she?”

And if that ain’t just exactly how I felt going into recording those lines... for a small moment of time I just was... not there in the booth and recording lines... I was somewhere else entirely and when I finally came back? There were tears in my eyes.

We did it, everyone. We really did it.

A few days ago, this blog has hit the 100 follower milestone, and I wanted to share this moment with you: thank you, thank you so SO much. Thank you for every reblog, every comment, every like, thank you for hanging around. This blog has no other purpose than saving FC5 stuff I like, I still can’t believe you are so many here (another proof that FC5 is a wonderful thing in so many ways ♥) . I’m so happy to share with you the art, theories, ramblings and other amazing things that makes me fall in love with this game a little bit more everyday.

Unfortunately, I think it will be a long time before I can get to seriously work on my personal OCs, but I really wanted to celebrate this humble step, so after a verrry long time, I’m back at it for a small giveaway! Few details about the prize:

I feel more comfortable with writting for the Seed family, but we can absolutely discuss in pm your request to determine how I can write something you’ll enjoy reading. I haven’t played FC New Dawn so FC5 requests are preferred (but thanks to a certain amount of spoilers, I can for instance write something for ND Joseph ; again, we can discuss that at the end of the giveaway),

As a request, you can send me a quote, a prompt, a sentence, a song, even a gif or a screenshot, anything that you could enjoy seeing turned into a small fic!

Can be a NSFW request, or a request implying gore/violence. I’ve not written a lot of smut, and it was an eternity ago, but I’m fine with this. Obsviously, no problematic subjects such as rape, incest, etc.

“I don’t want to marry you.” Will says, staring up at the stars. The picnic blanket is a little itchy against the back of his neck, but he can ignore it if he tries hard enough.

“Touché.” Bianca replies, and her head tilts as she stares at a constellation. “That one’s Virgo, I think. And that might be—“

“I think I’m in love with your brother.” Because he’s spilling all the secrets he hasn’t told anyone tonight, so why not add another one to the mix?

“I’m sorry, you’re what?”

“Nico,” he says, and it settles comfortably in his mind. “I think I’m in love with Nico.”

Bianca has sat up, and is staring at him like he’s just proclaimed his love for dressing up as a goose-platypus hybrid while skydiving in a tutu. …He made it weird, didn’t he? In his head he’s just made it weirder.

After a long moment of confused blinking, she flops down onto the blanket again. “I thought we were going to commiserate on how an arranged marriage is ridiculously old fashioned and how our parents have lost their marbles—”

“We can still do that.”

“You’re closer to Nico’s age than mine. And Father wanted me to marry you.” She sighs, and turns her head to look at him. “Life sure loves to screw us over, doesn’t it?”

“Yeah.” And there’s an endless amount of stars above him, and he’s head over heels with someone who might just hate his guts, and Bianca is kind and confident and clever but they both know they’ll never love each other. “I think we’ll be okay though. Is that one...Cancer?”

“Libra,” Bianca corrects, “and that one is Boötes. I don’t suppose you’ve got a talent for postponing weddings?”

“Do you?”

She smiles. “Let’s just say, I know a girl.”

LU HI i humbly request steph and jason bonding over a book and tim regretting his entire life now that they're acquainted

“What the fuck.”

“Hey Jason,” Steph says breezily from his sofa, “how do?”

There are things Jason expects from life, and then there is Stephanie Brown. “Get out.” Steph raises an eyebrow, and she’d better not be bleeding over his favourite sofa. Only sofa. He doesn’t need to explain himself to her when she’s ruining his record of only one slightly noticeable bloodstain. “Please.”

“Nope.”

“You’d better not be bleeding on the best bit of furniture I bought. That was expensive.” And legal, which is something he’s never doing again.

“I thought your table was your best bit of furniture.”

“Because I made that table, why do you think— Don’t you usually do this at Tim’s place?”

“What, steal his food?” Steph wrinkles her nose. “You have better leftovers. And books.” Is this a hostile enemy takeover? Do they usually start with vigilantes raiding your fridge? Can they be bribed into leaving? He’s asking the real questions here. Not that he’s expecting any real answers, but still. “Plus,” Steph says, and that better not be one of his books— “I’m not leaving until I’ve finished this.”

It’s The Rest Of Us Just Live Here. Jason has no reason to be interested in Steph’s taste in reading material, he doesn’t. She isn’t even making much of a mess, and that’s all Bats do. When did this become his problem?

“Don’t you have fucking college essays or something?”

Steph doesn’t even look up. “Probably.”

Jason does not have the time to reevaluate his life choices. “...Where are you at?” His fridge is thoroughly raided, and now he’s playing nice with Spoiler. Batgirl. He doesn’t know what iteration of pain in the ass she is.

“Come see for yourself.” This is unfair. Jason should be throwing her bodily out the window right now. Maybe he should call Replacement, make her his problem. Protect the leftover pasta with the nice sauce. Anything that isn’t elbowing her so she isn’t hogging the entire sofa and reading over her shoulder. Or snort as she makes sarcastic comments under her breath and then shifts so she’s using Jason as a makeshift pillow, like all he’s good for now is being glorified upholstery.

Somehow, though, he can’t bring himself to mind.

Characters play truth or dare. Hijinks ensue + “I dare you to gargle this whole jar of mayonnaise.” “WHY?” “Because I hate you.” (32/50)

“Truth or Dare, Roman?”

“Dare,” Roman says immediately. He decides to ignore Virgil muttering that this is the worst decision he’s made this evening.

Remus grins. “Oh?” Before Roman has a chance to make a tactical retreat — and it’s not playing chicken — Remus pulls a jar out of his bag. No one has questioned the contents of the green duffel bag since Virgil poked at it and the contents promptly started writhing. The jar is... fairly unassuming. If he really thought about it, it faintly reminded him of the mayonnaise jar that had gone missing from the kitchen cupboard.

Hold his magnificent princely horses, it looked like the mayonnaise jar that had gone missing from the kitchen cupboard.

...Remus wouldn’t. Roman likes to think of himself as an optimist, but he can still remember the feral cats. But Remus wouldn’t.

“I dare you to gargle this whole jar of mayonnaise.”

Apparently he would. Roman doesn’t know why he bothers to doubt his brother anymore. “Why?”

“Because I hate you,” Remus supplies helpfully, and drops the jar into Roman’s lap.

“I,” Janus announces, “am a genius.”

Logan never appreciates any of his flair. Logan is always wrong. “Did you rig the Secret Santa?”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

He says nothing and turns a page pointedly. Behind him talking animatedly in their own world are Patton and Roman, the former’s lovesick grin never wavering. Janus doesn’t know what they’re talking about, and doesn’t exactly care but— there it is. If he watches Roman a little more intently when Patton laughs…

Oblivious, the both of them. Logan pushes his glasses further up his nose, and Janus can tell he’s gotten to the part where Sherlock is about to unveil the answer. Will his prediction be right? It usually is, and even when it isn’t Janus can’t help but be enthralled.

What was he saying? Ah, yes, oblivious indeed.

Hey Shima, any tips for becoming a popular blog on this hellsite?

MKSDMLDAKMSDA I MEAN. I can give you general advice but really it’s all down to Luck

1. Patience…………….patience. It takes a while to build up a good following. It took me 5 years to get to 15k–5 YEARS! And that was because I was persistent lol. It did not happen immediately, it was a gradual thing! But you’ll find that once you hit a certain mark it’s easier to get followers after. Don’t get discouraged if you feel like it’s taking too long–you will get there eventually. Just do your best and stay positive!

2. If you’re more for getting popular overnight–which isn’t guaranteed btw–contributing to popular fandoms and continuing to do so helps a LOT. It’s very easy to build up a following if you post art and other general stuff for a popular fandom continuously, rather than me, who switches fandoms every 2 weeks and gives her followers major whiplash.

3. Post. Consistently. People will be less likely to follow you if you only post like once a week or once a month. They follow you for your content! Provide that content! Don’t feel pressured to do so ofc but hang around more often and that’ll get you some traffic to your blog hopefully

4. Do not let it go to your head oh my god;; the thing people hate more than anything is arrogant assholes who brag about their follower count and act high and mighty because they’re a popular tumblr blog. Don’t. Do that. It’s bad. Nobody will be having fun, and you’ll seem like a dick. Act like a human being! Be humble and gracious!! Be thankful for what you have and continue to push yourself to grow! As you blossom, so will your blog, and your followers with you!

5. Tags. TAGS TAGS TAGS that’s how people see things if they aren’t following you! And if they like your stuff when they see it in the tags that might encourage them to follow you!! I tag thoroughly mostly because it helps me stay organized so I can find things easier on this blog, but also because posts will show up in the fandom tags for people to look at and go OOH!! Tags are your friends. They are helpful and sometimes a pain in the ass when they refuse to show your posts (be careful to avoid putting any slurs, curse words or copyrighted sites like Instagram in the tags bc in most cases tumblr will say “Big nope” and will not show your post).

6. Interact with your followers…encourage them to send asks or you can reblog fun things like ask games or art memes to have your followers request you draw (if you’re an artist, you can do drabble requests if you’re a writer!) If you acknowledge your followers they will be more open and responsive! Be friendly and encouraging, that’s how you gain a good audience!

7. Most importantly: Have fun! Be yourself! Be a goofball! Do not care what other people think of you! (Okay maybe care a little bit if you’re acting like a jerk but otherwise you do you). The less you care about your popularity, the better it will be in the long run. If you just have fun and do things for yourself, people will naturally be drawn into that! Numbers are nice but the most important thing is enjoying yourself, otherwise you’ll be stuck in a nasty headspace where you constantly seek attention and that’s not healthy bro 👏 As soon as I told myself “Shima shut up and just have fun and draw your favorite ships and be the peak dumbass you are” I found that’s when I started gaining more followers! It was pretty dang neato

Anyway I think that’s all I got 🤔 Honestly most of this comes from personal experience lol tho I wouldn’t really consider myself a super popular blog by a longshot but I hope this helps! Just. Have fun, do things for yourself, and people will naturally flock to you for being honest ^^

ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS

Greetings; I am a nerd in search of help. Here’s the situation:

Once there was a man named Jack. He’d been on a long, hard road through war, strife, and grief when he happened to meet a handful of young men who changed his life forever. Three of these new acquaintances were named Charles Williams, Owen Barfield, and John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. It was from the influence of the strong friendship with these men in particular that led Jack to write out his own life story in an allegorical adventure called The Pilgrim’s Regress.

As an avid Tolkien reader and fantasy nut, there are few historical friendships I fangirl over more than the great poet himself and possibly his very best friend, who is most critically renowned for writing the Chronicles of Narnia series. However, most of the other works of C. S. Lewis have a serious drawback: they do not age very well in today’s setting. Being written by a white British guy to a white British audience using terms and analogies that mostly only white British educated people would understand 80 years ago, what could be one of the most inspirational allegorical biographies of the era faces numerous social obstacles, most of which will undoubtedly shift within a ten-year span. My deep appreciation for literature, as well as a personal love and appreciation for Lewis in general, gives me cause to see this remedied.

The Request

Again, please bear in mind that this is a significantly dated work; certain content and language would be considered derogatory in today’s context, but was not originally intended for the purpose of marginalizing anyone. Also note that, as a work of fantasy, the imagery used in describing classical fantasy contains more or less direct contrasts and comparisons; “bad guys” are often detailed as exaggeratedly impish or monstrous for the purpose of drawing clearer distinctions from “good guys.” More often than not, the characters in this book depict certain lines of thinking and ideas, not actual people or social groups they may connote.

Step 2. Draw the Story

The reason I ask this of other hands than mine is because my illustrating skills are mediocre, due to lack of practice, financial resources, and the required mental health to accomplish it. Having already made one attempt that resulted in a stick-man comic strip that used up my whole drawing paper supply, I humbly relinquish my pencil in search of more capable hands and talent. In the event that anyone does not wish to draw the entire story but a single section of preference, feel free to reblog this post with your work specified as such. For the ambitious, I wish you strength of spirit and best of fortunes in your endeavors.

Step 3. Spread the News (and Your Work!)

My love for originality and creativity makes me eager to see what illustrations, drawing styles, and methods of storytelling can be found among the masses; I want to see what you can do!
