WHAT THE HECK IS WIND DOING IN THE OCTOBER ART
Tumblr media
Twi and Sky look so so freaked out and wind just looks happy running along?
I see this and can't get this dialogue out of my head:
Twilight: let me see what you have!
Wind: *running*
Twilight: A sword?!
Twilight and Sky: NO!!!
Sckssjxkdiwgafagrge Them trying to contain the gremlin even though he's a hero and is trustworthy to handle himself. What even is HAPPENING with these three here ddkdjdshahhdbren
MAYBE THEYRE CONCERNED BECAUSE HES RUNNING STRAIGHT AT A CLIFF EDGE
The dynamic between these three in this image has so many explanations but to me it just looks like they cannot contain the gremlin zoomies he is unstoppable
(Also the set of their standing reminds me of this post with the dialogue way back when that Jojo liked so much: https://www.tumblr.com/linkeduniverse/173725443764/short-stacks-art-has-this-been-done-yet-hero)

FFSU’s Fan Fashion Week!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
*ETA: Works posted to AO3 can be tagged as "FFSU Fashion Week"!*
I’ve had the concept for this in my head for AGES but never got around to posting it. I originally planned to run it as an event during a certain time period, but I found that making it an event intimidated me out of actually making the idea happen. I just think that I’m a lot more confident in my ideas when I don’t overthink it! Therefore, instead of running an event, I’m just putting this challenge out into the atmosphere for people to take it and run with it.
REBLOGS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Everything you need to know is in the graphics, and here’s a plain text version as well:
Fashion For Stand Users’ Fan Fashion Week Challenge: a 7-day art and/or fic-writing challenge!
Art Prompts:
- Day 1: Runway
Draw your chosen character(s) in an outfit from a designer runway! Check the blog archive or Vogue Runway for references and modify the look however you want.
-Day 2: Subculture
Draw your chosen character(s) in the fashion of a certain subculture: goth, raver, scene kid, etc.
-Day 3: Style Swap
Draw two or more characters swapping their canon outfits, or simply wearing outfits more suited for the other person's vibe and aesthetic.
-Day 4: Historical
Draw your chosen character(s) in the fashion of another era.
-Day 5: Redesign
Redesign, reinvent, or modify the canon outfit(s) of your chosen character(s).
-Day 6: Formal
Draw your chosen character(s) in gowns, tuxedos, and other fancy clothes.
-Day 7: Free Space
Draw any kind of outfit(s) you'd like for your chosen character(s)!
Writing Prompts:
- Day 1: Character Study
Write about why a character dresses or looks the way they do. Why do they like the clothes they wear? Do they wear something with personal significance? How do they want the world to see them?
-Day 2: Makeover
Write about a character getting a makeover from another. Are they getting new clothes, a new hairstyle, new makeup? Is it just for fun or a sign of a bigger change?
-Day 3: AU
Write about an alternate universe where the characters are models, fashion designers, hairstylists, makeup artists, etc.
-Day 4: Disaster
Write about something going horribly, horribly wrong: wardrobe malfunctions, makeup mishaps, over/underdressing, etc.
-Day 5: Shopping Trip
Write about characters going shopping together and all the shenanigans that ensue.
-Day 6: The Event
Write about a character getting ready for  or attending an upscale event. Who are they going with? What are they wearing? How are they feeling?
-Day 7: Free Space
Write about any scenario you'd like, as long as it's about clothing or fashion!
Rules:
Have Fun!
This is obviously a JJBA blog, but feel free to use this challenge for OCs and other fandoms! If you plan to modify the prompts, make different graphics, or make your own version of the challenge for a different fandom, be sure to credit this blog or link back to this post!
Mention @fashion4standusers in all your posts to give credit! You can also tag your posts with #ffsufashionweek, and if your work is about JoJo, I would love to share it on the blog. If you post outside of Tumblr, include a link to this post!
Don't think you can do it in a week? Want more time to write longer fics, make more detailed art, or just develop your idea more? No worries, just work at your own pace! The concept of the challenge is a reference to the various Fashion Weeks that happen around the world, but by no means is it restricted to any real time frame!
Only want to write or draw for a few of the prompts? Maybe only one? Wanna work out of order? Go ahead! This is a challenge of course, but if you just aren't connecting with some of the prompts, don't force it!
Feel free to use the ideas you come up with for this into more in-depth works!
It's never too early or too late to give it a shot, and I'll always keep an eye on tags and mentions for new additions!

(credits to my dearest friend crime for making a parody of the Phineas and Ferb theme song)
It’s been a hundred and four days since jojo last posted on their linked universe tumblr page
Now the annual problem caused by desperation is finding a way to cope with it
LIKE MAYBE
Writing a fanfic Or reading an au or participating in a roleplay
Remembering your work in progress exists, or crying ‘bout life in the shower
Rereading the au, creating MORE au’s or locating the discord’s brain (where did it go???)
Finding a cool artist, hating all of your work or driving all the mods insane
As you can see there’s a whole lot of stuff to do before we lose our minds, but stick with us cause this crazy fandom will make it a good time,
So stick with us cause this crazy fandom will make it a good time

(Feel free to reach out if you’d like more information about it before deciding if you want to be tagged! And thank you all so much for your support!!!)
What you need to know going into this story:
This fic is a Star Wars AU in that it is (to an extent) set in the Star Wars universe. This is just because I’m too lazy to world-build an entire universe for a single fic, but I already have a lot of energy put into creating my own pieces of Star Wars headcanons, OCs, and etc. that I’ve never gotten around to writing into anything, so I decided to adopt them for this fic. So while Yo Ho, Hero! takes place within the “universe” of Star Wars, it has little to nothing to do with the events of the films/shows/etc. I just wanted to use the planets/species/terminology/etc. of Star Wars instead of putting that much thought into it because I have enough else to do and all I want to do is write, not world-build, dammit.
Despite it sort-of-technically-kind-of-actually being a Star Wars AU, there are no Jedi. Just mages. No force, just good, old-fashioned magic.
In addition to planets/species/terminology/etc. from Star Wars, you may recognize some themes from other media. Yes, the “sailing ship in space” aesthetic is straight from Treasure Planet. It’s also likely that mentions of a planet called “Hyrule” will come up, along with Hylian and Rito species from it. Yes, this is a direct reference to Legend of Zelda, because at one point I was working on a LoZ/Star Wars crossover fic that never got written but did get absorbed into this story apparently. It’s also because I’m too lazy to come up with anything original.
There will be a few OCs who make minor appearances in this fic. Aleesha is one of my first-ever OCs (created when I was literally about 11-12) and has never found her way into an actual written story (despite me having PLANNED several stories about/concerning her) so I’m super excited to use her here!!! Jocasta is my D&D character who I love despite her being an actual disaster. I made a joke about how she should be in this fic cos she’s a pirate then had a galaxy brain moment and actually wrote her into it.
Pretty much any ship they encounter will be named after either a Legend of Zelda game or some other piece of popular media (my other primary source is Twilight book/movie names for some reason don’t @ me I’m unoriginal) so uhhh don’t be surprised by that. I am SO bad at coming up with names for places/things. People? Fine. I can do that. Places/ships/things/etc? Not a chance. (You may think I’m joking here, but you won’t think that when you read about a spaceship named Breath of the Wild or Midnight Sun, because those are both things that I’ve written and that may appear in this story.)
Read on FanFiction.Net | Read on Archive Of Our Own
Also including a cheat sheet of character species/races here because I don’t directly reference many of them by name in the fic. I’ll link references for some of them where I have them.
Jack Kelly: Near-human. May or may not have secret gills.
Race Higgins: “Canus”, AKA dog-based species. Think Dr. Delbert from Treasure Planet.
Elmer Kasprzak: Near-human. Appears human for all intents and purposes.
Davey Jacobs: Former human, current immortal. Basically a human frozen at 25.
Crutchie and Katherine: Humans!
Spot Conlon: “Canus”. Think Dr. Delbert from Treasure Planet.
JoJo: Onotoran (original alien race). Purple skin, deep blue eyes, and a rainbow array of feathers in place of hair on her head and running down her spine to the small of her back. Also feathers on the backs of her hands and running up her forearms to her elbows.
Romeo: half-Felis. Think Tabaxi from D&D but tall, or Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet, but more human cos he’s only half.
Specs: Literally just a Rito from Legend of Zelda (specifically Breath of the Wild).
Finch: half-Rito, half-Hylian. Closer to the look of the Rito in Wind Waker.
Skittery: Verpine (Star Wars: Legends)
Allie Raysh/Aleesha Shray: Human
Jocasta Mar’Soren: May have once been part Hylian but it doesn’t matter any more because she’s now an immortal, like Davey.
Albert Dasilva: Felis. Think Tabaxi from D&D but tall, or Captain Amelia from Treasure planet.
Buttons: he’s basically a cross between an Ood from Doctor Who and a Quarren from Star Wars.
Sarah Jacobs: human or near-human.
Les Jacobs: human or near-human.
Medda: Anatoran (original alien race). See description for JoJo, but with snow-white skin and black eyes and feathers.
Mush Meyers: Cosmoran (original alien race). See description for JoJo, but with coal-black skin and white eyes and feathers.
Elaine O’Dell: Hylian from Legend of Zelda.
Sniper: Togrutan (Star Wars)
Disclaimer: I do not own Newsies, Star Wars, Treasure Planet, the Legend of Zelda franchise, Twilight, or anything you recognize from any of those sources or any other form of published media. I do, however, own this story, Aleesha, the settlement of Haven, Jocasta, and anything else you don’t recognize from any form of published media.

Linked Galaxy - Where Loyalties Lie
It’s here! I’m very sorry for the delay. As I stated on my Tumblr I was very sick and midterms are coming up so overall... livin la vida loca. I hope you enjoy my first chapter of Linked Galaxy, my Star Wars AU for Linked Universe! I would like to say again that Linked Universe was created by Jojo @linkeduniverse, and Star Wars is owned by Disney. I in no way take credit for either, however I worked very hard on the headcanons for this universe and to combine the two together in my story of Linked Galaxy. But neither are mine. I hope you enjoy!
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away
After the death of his master, Sith Lord Ghirahim has recieved a way to travel across not only dimmentions, but time itself. Seeking to manipulate the strange wormholes for his own bidding, Ghirahim searches the new lands in hope of harnessing this power.
A new empire is born… The United Realms.
Only one band of heroes can stop him, a band of nine Heroes of Courage brought together by Hylia from nine different times. All of the Hyrule Galaxies now lay in their hands.
But unknown to all, a far more sinister being is pulling the strings of United Realms’ and our heroes’ actions.
~
“Faster you imbelces!” Commander Bulblin snapped. He couldn’t believe how he was stuck with what had to be the most incompetent portion of Ghirahim’s army. It was most likely some punishment from Ghirahim for Bulblin ‘speaking out of place’ in a gathering. Bublin scoffed. The only reason that man had an army in the first place is due to the death of their Emperor, and he dared to call Bulblin disrespectful? Bulblin never even fought under Ghirahim, he was from a different Hyrule! Apparently, all Ganons had been killed by a Grey Jedi, all sharing the name Link. Just that name… Link, sent rage crawling up Bublin’s spine. It was because of those so called heroes, that he was stuck working under Ghirahim in the first place. Why was this Hyrule the only one with a Ghirahim? Not only that, but he expected an army that wasn’t rightfully his to go on some interdimmentional quest, to take over the nine Galaxies that they now had access to? It was a ridiculous notion, one that the other commanders and generals seemed to share save a few others. General Zant didn’t seem keen on the whole ordeal, but that man would do anything for power and could not be trusted. Bublin sighed and continued on with this ridiculous job. He just had to lay low for now.
~
Taking over all nine Hyrules wasn’t the only goal Ghirahim had in mind. He needed to bring back Ganon. He needed to bring back his master. Emperor Ghirahim sat on his old Master’s throne in contemplation. The guards had gotten used to his angry mutterings by now. In order to truly bring the Hyrule Galaxy to its knees, all of them, Ganon would need to be resurrected. He could do it himself of course, but Ganon had authority Ghriahim knew he would never gain from his armies.
He had split the armies into nine, based on the Galaxy they were from. It made the most sense.
The Seadogs were from the realm of the Hero of Winds. They were quite stupid, but loyal to their cause. Ghirahim usually put them in the Tie-fighters and smaller fighting vessels. They knew how to fly and they were expendable to boot.
The Fallen were from the Hero of Hyrule’s time. They were absolutely vicious, the most focused in bringing their Ganon back. Ghirahim had never known the hero’s blood was required to resurrect their Ganon, but let them bleed the little brat dry for all he cared.
The Oracles were from the Hero of Legend’s galaxy. They were an interesting group. Absolutely hated the hero and wanted him to suffer. Ghirahim could appreciate that.
The Savages were from the Hero of Wild’s world. World, because the monsters apparently were not even aware there was a galaxy outside their world until now. This portion of his army constantly gave him a migraine. They were so smart but so stupid. They had never taken an actual order in their lives.
The Accursed were from the Hero of Time’s galaxy. Relatively useful, compared to some others Ghirahim couldn’t complain as much. Like the Oracles, they were hellbent on destroying their Link and any happiness he had.
The Twili were from the Hero of Twilight’s realm. Obviously. They were ruggish and quite frankly scarier than most of the other armies. They, at least, knew how to follow a commander, even if that commander was a bumbling fool.
The Shadows were from the Hero of the Four Sword’s galaxy. Ghirahim thought the name was underwhelming, but apparently the dark world in that galaxy was strongly entangled in the light, so Ghirahim let it slide.
The Shattered, the Hero of Warriors’ galaxy, was who Ghirahim suspected were responsible for the wormholes in the first place. However none admitted to it, so he didn’t even think they knew what was going on either. There were hoards of them that never seemed to send, they were certainly an asset.
The Skybreakers, the damned Hero of Sky’s adversaries. The little brat had the absolute audacity to still be alive, and now he had teamed up with more children. Ghirahim wouldn’t stand for it. The name had spread like wildfire, Ghirahim didn’t know where it came from but it spread fear, and that is what’s important. When one of his first class ships broke through the atmosphere, they would scream about the Skybreakers. Ghirahim loved it.
Ghirahim was broken from his musings by the opening of his door.
“How many times have I told you idiots to knock?” Ghirahim snapped, cruel eyes bearing into the souls of his useless guards.
“Apologies Lord Ghirahim.” the guard stuttered out. Ghirahim was technically Emperor in his master’s… absence. But everyone still called him ‘Lord’. Ghirahim didn’t correct them, he didn’t think Ganondorf would appreciate it if he thought his apprentice was attempting to take his throne for good. “General Zant demands your presence, my lord.” The guard finished.
“He demands?” Ghirahim questioned, poison lacing his words, rubbing his fingers along the cool metal of his lightsaber.
“That is what he said, my lord.” The guard confirmed, and Ghirahim rolled his eyes at the man’s cowardice.
“Send him in and get it over with.” Ghirahim commanded, marching up to the throne. He plopped down carelessly, crossing his legs and leaning against one side. Ganon used to tell him that it didn’t matter how you sat on the throne, what mattered was how much power you displayed. The throne itself was intimidating, but if the man or woman sitting on it commanded attention as well, anyone would bend the knee.
The grand doors opened slowly to reveal the large man, that ridiculous helm covering his face.
“What, Zant?” Ghirahim demanded before the man even approached.
“My Lord, may I just say I respect how you are able to command all nine armies at once-”
“Don’t flatter me you coward. Tell me what you want.” Ghirahim ground out impatiently. If he was in the mood he would tease the man, get him wound up. It was so easy to torment Zant, but Ghirahim was not in the mood.
“Do you think it wise, to continue to hop through strange wormholes? There is no guarantee they will open up again.” Zant finally spoke up.
“Our engineers and scientists are working everyday to harness the power the wormholes provide.” Ghirahim said flippantly.  n
“Yes, My Lord, but if before then we get trapped in a strange Hyrule?” Zant questioned.
“Then we will take over that Hyrule. You seem to forget we are not the only ones traveling through those wormholes. The heroes are as well.” Ghirahim spoke with venom.
“Why do the heroes matter. Should we not hope to be rid of them?” Zant attempted to ignore the dangerous look in Ghirahim’s eyes.
“According to the Fallen, we need their blood to raise Ganon again. That is our main goal, Zant. If we need to move to other realms to do it we will.” Ghirahim could feel his blood beginning to heat at the countless questions.
“Will any of it matter if we get trapped in a different galaxy? In a different time?” Zant’s voice was getting louder.
“I have the chance to take over nine realms at least.” Ghirahim began, practically growling. “And you want me to give up because of your cowardice?”
“You misheard me, My Lord.” Zant tried desperately to recover. “I only want what is best for the United Realms. But… Ganon is gone, My Lord. Perhaps it's best for him to rest in peace so we may move on.” Zant waited with bated breath. If possible, Ghirahim’s eyes turned even more cold. Under the steel gaze of his superior, Zant felt ten times smaller.
“I believe I like you more as a coward, Commander Zant.” Ghirahim snarked, reminding Zant of his rank. “You forget yourself Zant, Ghirahim leaned forward in his throne. “Without Ganon… you are nothing.” Ghirahim snarled. “Get out.” Ghirahim commanded, voice neutral and cold, so unlike his normal self. Zant looked like he was going to argue, neutral face twitching slightly behind his mask, before he turned and left without a word.
Ghirahim contemplated what Zant had said. If the commander himself thought this way, Ghirahim could have even more disloyalty than he originally thought. He would have to take care of this. Ghirahim could feel it in the air… disloyalty.
~
Sky took a large breath, allowing Hylia’s energy to surround him completely. The room he normally shared with Four was pitch black, but that didn’t matter. Feeling close to the energy around him was all it took to be aware of his surroundings.
He could feel the other's presence upon their old ship. They had all pitched in to restore this old hunk of metal to… well not the prettiest thing in the galaxy, but it fit them all well enough.
Sky reached his mind through Hylia’s energy. He could feel Hyrule resting in the room he shared with Wild and Legend. He must have trained hard today for him to be resting in the afternoon. Sometimes it felt as though Hyrule, Wild and Wind all had an infinite amount of energy, Sky was glad Hyrule was at least taking it easy for once. He reached further down the hall. Across the hall he could feel Wind and Warriors’ cabin but no one was in there.
Sky took another deep breath and felt the waves of Hylia’s force extend to the rest of their ship. It was a simple exercise, one that younglings were taught at the academy, but it was good practice. Wind and Warriors were in the lounge, probably playing Dejarik at the holotable. Wind was most certainly cheating. He continued his exercise, finding Wild’s energy in the bottom turret. The boy enjoyed gazing out into the stars. He had never thought there was an entire galaxy outside his planet when he had met the others, and that had blown the other Link’s minds, even Hyrule. Apparently the only remnants of magic and technology in his Hyrule were from the Sheikah, who had died out millennia ago. Now the boy watched the galaxy outside constantly. Anytime they needed to find Wild, they knew to look in all the windowed areas first. He would get tired and stressed staying on the ship for too long, so looking at the stars helped him pass the time, as he told Sky one evening.
Sky felt a slight prod at his own energy. Time must be doing the exercise as well then, probably in his and Twilight’s room. Sky reached out and greeted the man, smiling when he received a greeting back, albeit a little weak. Sky may not fully understand where Time’s previous hatred of Hylia has stemmed from, but he came from a different galaxy, Sky would most likely never comprehend what the other man had gone through. He was working to strengthen the bond again, but only enough to help them on this quest.
Sky then moved on and felt Twilight and Four’s energy. They seemed to be in the cockpit chatting with Legend. Sky didn’t let himself linger on Twilight’s energy for too long. Something about it was just… off, and dark. Sky trusted Twilight with his life, and knew the other Link would tell them if something was wrong or when he was ready. Still though, it made Sky uncomfortable. The same with Four. It wasn’t dark, his energies were just fuzzy, like there were puzzle pieces all smashed together. Legend’s energy was always interesting as well. The young man was experienced and his energy showed that, but there was also the feeling of melancholy all the other Links had. Having them all in the same room while Sky was focusing so intently gave him a small headache, so he retracted.
Sky opened his eyes after one more deep breath, allowing his energy to flow free once again. A slowly stood from the smooth floor and stretched his legs. He always lost track of time whenever he meditated, but feeling the other’s presence had reassured him he didn’t miss anything. His door slid open as he approached, he barely ever locked it. Sky decided to go see what Warriors and Wind were up to. Walking down the half barren halls, he smiled at the art on the walls. When they fixed the ship, yet to be named, the halls were completely barren and militaristic. Wind had decided they would need to fix that. Every Link was tasked with putting something on the wall. Some were complicated designs, others were just handprints or finger drawings. Sky thought it was Wind’s best idea yet.
Sky approached the lounge and chuckled at the bickering he heard. Wind must have been caught cheating. Again.
“You can’t prove shit!” Wind yelled across the holotable.
“I don’t need to, kid. I know you!” Warriors snarked back. Sky wasn’t surprised to see Warriors wearing his scarf, even without his chainmail. The royal blue scarf contrasted greatly to his blank cream tunic, but in the couple of months he had known Warriors, Sky had barely ever seen the man without it. Sky worried it had something to do with the war that Warriors was forced to fight, and the nightmares and blank looks the man would fall into, but he never asked.
“What’s that supposed to mean? How would I cheat with a holotable?” Wind demanded.
“It means you were taught this game by pirates, kid. Your piece was over here, and now it’s over there.” Warriors pointed to parts of the board that Sky couldn’t see. “I’ll give it to ya, kiddo. If I wasn’t so observant I wouldn’t have noticed.” Warriors smirked.
“Don’t preen yourself.” Wind grumbled.
“Having fun?” Sky spoke up to make his presence known to the two boys wrapped up in their argument. Wind and Warriors whipped around.
“Hey, Sky.” Warriors greeted. “You wanna play a round with the pirate?”
“Maybe later.” Sky chuckled, sitting down next to Wind.
“Where is everyone? It’s dinnertime soon.” Wind questioned, glancing at the small clock displayed near the bottom of the holotable. They had been in the ship for about 24 hours now, clocks were the only way to keep track in space.
“They’re all chatting or relaxing. I’ll call down Wild.” Sky stood up and walked  over to the wall comm rotating the slightly rusted top wheel from ‘All’ to ‘Lower Turret’. “Wild, it’s almost dinner time.” Sky called while pressing the comm button. There was a pause, then a crackle from the other side of the speaker.
“Sorry, Sky! I lost track of time.” Wild spoke loudly into comm. “Oops I yelled again.” Sky let go of the button to hide his laughter. Coming from a world with no ships, comms, or any other technology outside of the old Sheikah tech, the boy had trouble remembering that comms picked up more range of sound than even regular talking.
“No problem, Wild. I can make dinner tonight if you want to keep stargazing.” Sky teased, knowing his offer would be refused instantly.
“No no! I’m coming!” Wild assured before the other speaker went dead. Sky laughed, moving the wheel to ‘Cockpit’, then ‘Cabin 2’ to notify the others as well. According to Warriors, comms had advanced far past what they had on their ship. Now there were programs to send to designated locations all at once, among other functions. The ship communications themself weren't that big of a deal, but Sky worried what that increase in technology meant for the UR’s weapons and ships. Especially now that there were nine different armies they were facing. With a quiet slide of the door, Wild raced in and ran to the small corner that was their kitchen.
“Sorry guys!” Wild apologized, pulling what little ingredients they had out of their metallic cupboard. They would have to stock up soon.
“It’s fine Wild, you have plenty of time.” Warriors reassured. The others tried to offer to make dinner, but Wild enjoyed it so much they eventually stopped offering almost completely.
Time came in next, eyes still a little foggy from meditation.
“Where is everyone else?” Time asked.
“Legend, Twi and Four are on their way, and Hyrule is resting so I figured we would give him a little more time.” Time nodded, moving to sit at their meal table that barely seated them all. Everyone knew how hard Hyrule pushed himself. He had the rare gift of healing, a combination of magic and energy that was almost extinct, in all nine galaxies at that. Apparently the more he used his magic, the better he got and the more stamina he gained. That combined with Legend training the boy how to use elements of the Ataru fighting style was sure to be tolling.
“Hey all!” Twilight called as the doors slid open, followed by Legend and Four.
“Where’s Hyrule?” Legend frowned.
“He’s resting. We wanted to give him a bit more time. You can go wake him if you want, we just thought we’d give him some more time.” Sky told Legend.
“Wild, how long until dinner is ready?” Four questioned.
“Ummm, about 20 minutes. Sorry I got a bit of a late start.” Wild apologized, mixing ingredients so quick the others had no idea how he wasn’t spilling.
“Relax, Wild. It gives Hyrule more time anyway.” Warriors assured.
“I’m gonna go get him. Best to give him time to wake up before he eats.” Legend claimed as he left for their cabin, flipping off Warriors behind him when the other man coughed out what sounded suspiciously like “mother hen”.
“What’s for dinner Wild?” Four asked as Legend left.
“Omelets if that’s alright. I know that it’s more of a breakfast thing, but I think the cucco eggs will go bad if I don’t use them soon.” Wild explained.
“That sounds really good actually.” Twilight nodded, although to his hollow stomach anything sounded good. Wild relaxed significantly, as if he’d been scared of the other’s reactions. He wasn’t as skittish as he used to be, but he still struggled to feel enough around the other Links, even with simple tasks.
The Links settled into comfortable chatter, around the table as Wild made different kinds of omelets. The door slid open once again a few minutes later, revealing Legend and a groggy Hyrule in tow.
“Hey Hyrule.” Time greeted casually, not mentioning the deep nap Hyrule had obviously just woken from. If the boy was actually resting, Time didn’t want to push it by bringing it up.
“Hi.” Hyrule greeted with a yawn. “What’s for dinner?” Hyrule called over to Wild.
“Omelets.” Wild said simply, fully concentrated on seasoning the food in front of him.
“Nice!” Hyrule called as he sat down, shoving his way next to Legend, leaving just enough room for Wild. Ten minutes of idle conversation went by before dinner was finally ready.
“Dinner’s ready!” Wild called, hefting a large plate filled with Omelets over to their table.
“Hylia, we had that many eggs?” Four asked, shocked.
“Yeah we had a lot more than I thought, but they were all going to go bad soon so I had to use them.” Wild clarified again, setting the large plate in the center of the table, squeezing into the last space around the table. The others practically drooled at the smell and sight, herbs that they didn’t even know the names of partly covered the perfectly cooked omelets.
The other Links barely took turns digging in, the sound fighting and clashing forks and loud laughter echoed in the small eating nook. The looming threat of the United Realms could be forgotten for now, even for an hour or so. They all felt it flowing through the energy, flowing from each other… loyalty.
Was it cheesy to start this with “A long time ago in a galaxy far far away”? Yes. Was I legally obligated to? Also yes. And yes they still use minutes in space don’t @ me lmao. I hope you enjoyed!

Fics I Wanted To Write This Year But Didn't, Part 2: Star Trek AU
For @spookyvoidangelskeleton for this ask
Now I suppose these would have been several fics, but in a series or a collection as they're all about the same main storyline: The collapsing of a (or several) universe(s).
If you've known me for a while, you know that I am very into Multiverse Theory, both real life and fictional, and Star Trek with the Mirror Universe is of course one of the first fandoms that comes to mind for me to write my batshit ideas in xD
Basically, in my personal little (fictional, bc I know and understand 0 about real life physics or whatever would be relevant for this) multiverse theory, there are an infinite number of universes, evenly spread around the multiverse, and a new universe comes into existence when a timeline/universe (same thing) can go into 2 seperate ways naturally, or when there is timetravel involved to manually change a timeline: The original timeline won't be affected, you can't change what's already there, but a new changed timeline will be created.
Now, in some cases that works out well, with the timetraveller ending up in the new timeline and never knowing that their original universe is still out there- in other ways of time travelling, not so much. If the person trying to make a change manages to do just that but never notices, because they or a version of them is stuck in the orginal timeline, what do they do?
Try again, with the same result, many many times.
And that's where it gets problematic, because the multiverse gets unbalanced, and whether you see it as a sentient entity connected to the Qs in Star Trek or just as something that Works That Way automatically: the multiverse doesn't want to be out of balance, so the new universes start to collapse in on each other, creating a Splitter-verse and leaving its inhabitants to a fate arguably worse than death (in this fictional world): they completely stop to exist. This doesn't just affect the new universes but the surroundings ones, which would have split earlier and are already more different from each other, too, to make sure the one that was the cause for it all falls, too.
Now (of course, because I can't help myself) this would be part of @thelucyverse , with there being Central people trained in spotting such time anomalies before it is too late, but with there also being time-bombs (yeah hahah) created in inter-universal wars to create smaller, controlled splitter-verses (I say small and controlled here but like. We're still talking about entire universes), and with Central having back-up plans to get people out of the 'verses, in order as follows: anyone visibly IDing as Central (the organisation is still largely volunteer-based, shit's got to have some perks), then everyone whose energy indicates recent travel in-between universes, as these are also most likely to a) be Central and b) be okay in a new 'verse, after that, if there is still time and anyone willing to go back into the falling universe, children as they are also more likely to adapt in a new world. If there is enough warning, they also get out whoever people Central members want to have saved, but usually it just turns into whoever stands close enough to grab and get the hell out of there.
Whether taking people out of a universe against their will is a good thing or nah is ...debatable and still being debated amongst those who do it and those who think that taking someone away from the possibility of dying death in their own universe is vile (as amongst most religions, it is thought that you can only reach the same afterlife as those who died in the same umiverse- but again most also think that there probably won't even Be an afterlife in a splitter-verse).
Sometimes, people are also pushed out of the universe by the explosion itself, but they then tend to die upon impact as they seldomly end up exactly at the coordinates where they left, which leaves them either suffocating in hard matter or in space.
If you want to use these ideas for your own fanfic feel free, just give me credit and link this post as inspired by/ link to my ao3 or @ my tumblr!
Anyhow! To Star Trek... and I suppose this is now SPOILERS not rly for any Star Trek canon but for these fanfics, if I do end up writing them!
I tend to forget which characters are canon and which are complete OCs because I spend Way more hours on tumblr and ao3 + thinking about my own headcanons than I spend consuming the original media, but I am fairly certain a canon Joana McCoy, daughter of Leonard 'Bones' McCoy exists? If no and I stole the idea from sb else's fanfic I am sincerely sorry. Gotta look that up.
In one universe close to what would be the centre of the splitterverse, Joana- as a young child nicknamed 'Jojo', but now as a young teen trying to get rid of the childish nickname- has a younger part-vulcan girl as a friend, and this girl, nicknamed Aka, has, through having sticky fingers and connections to Central, a device that allows you to jump between universes. She's used it before and gotten into a lot of trouble for it, but to her it had always been great fun- until reality is starting to collapse around them while she is visiting Joana, and Joana is the only person she can reach in time and take with her to the next universe.
Distraught, the children are left in a new world, debating what to do, waiting for Central to contact them, hoping that they saved their families- but of course, Central has quite some different problems right now and won't contact them any time soon, and even if they did it wouldn't be with news of their parents: the adult families of non-Central members who only happened to have jumped between universes before themselves are really not the top priority, and the universe is collapsing too quickly to even get down the prio list to 'children',
Aka wants to leave the universe again and look for Central elsewhere, hoping that her moving around will attract their attention. Joana has enough from universe jumps for a lifetime. Thus, they part ways.
While Aka at some point does run into a group of Central troubeshooters who more or less adopt her as one of their own and teach her how to work their equipment and use magic and weapons and starships (not what a child her age should be learning. But then, none of the adults there ever signed up to be a parent, so who's to blame them), Joana goes looking for her family in this world.
Now I could write entire novels about Akas adventures and how it may or may not be healthy to not have a home at all and decide to not rely on anybody instead of either finding new versions of her original parents or letting someone new into her life properly (spoileralert: it isn't healthy at all), and how meeting a girl from one of the original splitter-verses (the not bombed ones) telling her not to make the same mistakes she made finally makes her think about her choices and and and, but this post is already going to be Long so I won't. That would all be a seperate fanfic anyways.
Joana finds a girl her age who looks just like her and acts almost exactly like her, too- the only difference seems to be that there's no Aka around, which made this version of her less used to adventure but also less wary of it.
The version of Joana from this universe- she decides to call herself Joan when they are alone, while the Joana we already know goes with 'Jojo'- her once loathed childhood nickname now a connection to her past- is thrilled to meet her and begs her to stay, I mean what is cooler than suddenly having a twin, and won't it be fun there is so much they can do! As their parents are seperated, they manage to spend their time mostly at one of their homes, either together when the parent is too busy to notice that there are two kids around, or one at each place, guessing correctly that if the parents were to talk about it, they wouldn't even think of the possibility of there being two children and instead just get mad at each other.
This goes on for a few months during the summer, with Jojo feeling vaguely guilty both to her original dead parents and these new ones who think that she is their real daughter, and the girls are just deciding about what to do when school starts again when-
Reality breaks apart around them.
Jojo clings to Joan in fear, and- as Jojo is now on the list of people who have travelled between universes in the past, she is saved by Central, and Joan with her. They are placed into a universe further away this time, a safe distance to the only slowly contained Splitters.
Meanwhile, in the same universe, two people were currently out on a space-walk: Michael Burnham and Philippa Georgiou.
They are thrown out of the universe in the explosion, and as they are wearing their suits, they survive as they end up somewhere in space again, but- they don't end up in the same universe. Michael ends up about 20-30 years earlier in a universe further away, and she doesn't even end up in what would've been federation space in her old 'verse. Philippa is only thrown one universe to the left and picked up by Central. As Central likes to name their acquaintances in some way that makes it easier to identify just which version of a person you are talking to without having to add the long universe number (even harder when the universe was destroyed and there isn't a known number), they ask Philippa to pick a new name. She is way too rattled and desperate to go looking for Michael as quickly as possible to care about what name she is supposed to have, so she goes with the first option given to those who don't have their own nickname ideas: lastname for firstname, making her Georgiana, short Gia.
Through Central, she finds out that the universal explosion left her and Michael connected- but it won't be much help in the search, basically just a way to say 'alright this verse is closer to it than that one', it's still trial and error... (I could also involve some body switching here, idk I already wrote a long fanfic with that trope in the Andromaquynh fandom, but I happen to Like that trope so yeah maybe I'll recycle some parts of In Your Stead if I ever do manage to write this Milippa story. Which, btw, if not already obvious, would again be a seperate fic from the Joana universal-sister story. On the other hand, Aka runs into Georgiana a lot, even calling her 'auntie Gia').
Meanwhile, Michael doesn't have to jump through universes but make her way through just the one universe to get to federarion space. Except what she find's isn't the federation at all... you guessed it, the 'verse she ended up in is more similar to a mirrorverse than to Prime. However, the Georgiou of this world isn't the emperor yet, she's young and Michael is able to influence her enough over the years so that she turns her back to the Empire.
Yes, it takes years for Michael and Gia to find their way back to each other, maybe decades... they also wouldn't have spent exactly the same amount of time apart as they aren't in the same 'verse. In fact, Cleo of Central carefully tells Gia that Michael might have died by now, but of course Georgiana doesn't want to hear this.
Michael and that universe's Georgiou also get quite close, though Michael doesn't want to cheat on her Philippa... of course, after years of this, she might think that she will never see Philippa again... (We are approaching ot3 territory here lol, and I don't even want to think about the potential of ot7 with the two canon mirror and prime versions adsfghjkl because if I finish this story here, I would 100% write a lil fix it where Central! Gia Mikay and Phil go fish Mirror! Michael and Georgiou out of a splitter-verse into the next prime verse in which Michael already knows that Georgiou... and ad they're already at it they also get half dead! Prime Philippa away from the Klingons... heheh sounds like the kind of poly chaos I would enjoy writing, but sadly I have to make it through all the Plot first)
Anyway! Back to Jojo and Joan: they decide that while they maybe should have told Joan's family about Jojo's existence soon if they had stayed in that 'verse, the initial idea of staying with one's universals wasn't so bad, so they go looking for this universe's Joana McCoy. The girl- (nicknamed Anna, which makes Joan decide to change hers from Joan to June because she doesn't want to be half Jojo and half Anna), is happy enough to meet them, but often feels left out from the other two as they act as if they've known each other forever even though of course it's only been a few months... In turn, Jojo and June aren't sure whether Anna really wants them around, whether she might think they're trying to steal her life and family from her...
Lots of potential for conflict! Yay! XD would of course come to a happy ending, with at least Bones accepting his three daughters, dunno yet whether they'd tell the mom... also Aka ends up in the same universe at some point, together with a version of her vulcan birthmother who she had never known the original version of but now gets along with alright... oh and if I do write aforementioned Milippa ot7 bullshitery, this would also be the Prime!verse for that, so all stories in the series or collection interconnect again!
this got... long... and I could obviously go on but I need to go back to writing my Bachelor thesis :(
@whoever read through all of this, do let me know whether you like these ideas and which you would like to read proper fanfic for! Might influence future writing decisions.

wasteland baby ch. 1-?
(Linked Universe Fic - credit to Jojo for the AU)
Summary:
His Hyrule had been almost completely destroyed but now it was alive and untamed. It was feral and it was wild, just like him.
‘All the things I love about it they hate,’ thought Wild.
-
After a relaxing time at Wind’s Island, the group finds themselves sent to Wild’s Hyrule.
While Wild is happy to be home, and excited to show it to his friends, the rest of the group is less than thrilled with their location.

Anyone wanna help with a Naruto/JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Fic?
Here's the premise: it's an AU/re-adaptation of Naruto except with character roles, personality traits, story beats and power systems are switched around to match better with the themes and motifs of JJBA. Ninjutsu is infused with abilities like Hamon and Stands and various Naruto characters are amalgamated with different JoJo characters. I've entitled it "Naruto's Savage Road".
For example, Naruto and Sasuke are combined respectively with Dio and Jonathan from Phantom Blood-- except instead of Naruto being an antagonist he's still the protagonist but with Dio's evil traits shown in a positive light while Jonathan's noble traits are darkly reflected in Sasuke, and like DIO and Jonathan they're 'brothers turned mortal enemies' while at the same time having a rivalry similar to Joseph and Caesar from battle Tendency or Diego and Johnny from SBR and so on.
I already have the story plotted out for the most part (I intend to make it a long running series with at least three parts) as well as character motivations, arcs, thematic elements (predominately the concept of fate and generational inheritance) as well as worldbuilding, power systems, what kinds of Stands each character would have (including musical references they're named for) and of course ships. The only hard part is actually getting it all down into words and currently I'm tackling it solo with some progress but I could always use help (you would get all due co-author credits of course).
If you like Naruto and JoJo and you have experience with writing long-term fanfiction just DM me and let me know if you'd be interested in getting in on the project.
(P.S. It's a bit silly but I'm also trying to set up a Roleplay server set in the 'Savage Road' universe, so consider that if RP is something you're into as well)

TF2 Art Competition
Howdy, pardners.  I’m Ugg Zombie and I love TF2.  I talk about it all the time with my BFF bestie Red Zombie.  In fact, we talked about how awesome it would be to have more TF2 art about the things we care about, especially in the wake of the excitement of The Naked and the Dead.  So we’re putting together a competition.  Send in your best TF2 art for a chance to win some $$$!
The Rules  Updated 02 March 2017 updated links to posts
Register here.  You may submit more than once, but you must register each submission separately.
Submissions open on Friday 24 February 2017 at 18:00 UTC and close on Friday 10 March 2017 at 18:00 UTC.
Submit one piece of art accompanied by at least 500 words of writing.
The art must be in one of the four Categories listed below.  It can be traditional, digital, or SFM.  Static images only, no animation, please.
The writing can be fiction, background information, headcanons, whatever.
Comics are acceptable.  If you submit a comic, there’s no word count, but keep it at four pages or fewer.
No older art, the whole point is to create new art!
You may not post the submission on your personal (or professional) accounts until after the competition.  You grant us permission to use your work to promote the next competition (if this one turns out well!), with due credit.
The art will be judged by the reaction it gets out of us.  Quality of art helps.  Equally important is the idea and execution.  Focus on both!
Content: Use only canon and popular fanon.  No OCs.  No NSFW.  Think of the kitten orphanage!
Collaborations are acceptable.  Prizes will be sent to the email you use to submit via PayPal or Skrill.
The Categories
Crossover (Games, TV, & Film) for $100
These are some of the worlds we’d love to see the mercs cross with.  You can take these as seriously (~drama~) as you like or throw caution to the wind and crank up the silliness to 11!  Why not both?
Games
Assassin’s Creed, up to and including Black Flag
Fallout series
Dishonored 1 / 2
Portal 1 / 2
Affairs of the Court: Choice of Romance
Bonus! Arcanum: of Steamworks and Magick Obscura

Star Trek: TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY (we never saw ENT)
Pirates of the Caribbean series
Good Will Hunting
Grease (just 1, 2 doesn’t exist)
Disney universe: Inside Out, Toy Story, Atlantis, Mulan.
Mental Health for $100
We’re both living with a fun cocktail of some of these, and so are some close family and friends, and we know some of you are as well.  So hit us with some real talk– give us the mercs dealing with some of these, or explaining them, or just encouraging you to keep going through the tough spots.
Depression
Anxiety
Bipolar
Panic
PTSD
Abuse
BPD
OCD
Narcissism
Phobias
The Mighty Scriptfam Fandom and Mental Health
Out of Frame Comics for $100
Sometimes, the comics leave important questions unanswered.  Like how did Miss Pauling talk these guys into G&G anyway?  This category is for answering that and other important questions.  Just be sure to use the actual frame for reference!  Note that this doesn’t have to be a comic; sometimes one image is all you need.
Dance Fortress  Scout VA reads Comic #6
Creativity for $100
As artists and writers, you know the struggle.  Sometimes it just doesn’t happen.  Sometimes it gets stuck for a long time before you can work it out.  So here are creative endeavours we (or our friends) have worked with.  Show us the mercs learning, working, struggling, encouraging, going through the entire experience.  Share the experience!

Do you know a second language and have some time to spread the TF2 love?  We have a translation call here.
Received Queries
Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure + AUs (no + maybe) Maximum limit on submissions + livestreaming progress (no + yes except final result) How direct is direct with out of frame comics? (very direct) Post-processing SFMs (yes) Mental health categories + submitting fic for writing (stick to the list + yes)
Anticipated Queries
Crossover: I have a great idea for a crossover with [world]! Awesome!  Just be sure to let us know before you get to work.  After all, we can’t appreciate the brilliance of your work if the reference flies over our heads.  If it’s something we know, we’ll add it to the list.  PS: No Overwatch.  We haven’t played it or seen any of the canon media, so we probably won’t get it.
Mental Health: What if I want to discuss a condition you haven’t mentioned?
That would be difficult for us to judge, since the conditions listed either apply directly to us or to family and friends.  The only exception here is if your work is informative.  Otherwise, you might want to consider one of the other categories.
Creativity: I’ve got a great hobby I want to share with the world!  But it’s not on the list?
Cool!  We’re flexible about this one, just be sure to let us know before you get to work and if it’s something we’re familiar with, we’ll add it to the list.  We’re trying to keep it to things we can judge from experience.
When will you announce the winner?
We don’t know either!  It’s our first rodeo.  The announcement will depend on the number of submissions we get.  Spread the love!
Who even are you?
Two ladies whose love for TF2 has continued to grow over the years =)  If we used our actual blogs, you’d know our favourite ship is ajksldkfjgla ;)
Questions, comments, suggestions?  Feel free to message us here on Tumblr or via email: uggredzomb at gmail dot com
