Hello! I'm Jellyfish! (Jelly or JJ are also welcomed)♎🇹🇴 I like to write for fun and started this blog in Nov 2023 thanks to my Miguel O'Hara fixation.

I love to gush/talk about him and I mainly write for him at the moment and for the unforeseeable future 🤧. I'm happy to become moots and love to support fellow writers. 🖤 I don't take requests at this time due to personal nerves about meeting expectations and also due to time constraints, I'm sorry!

Most of my reader POVS are fem or AFAB, sorry. Since I am a cis female that is the pov I feel I can write the most accurately. The Jregswap Explanation Post

Hello, it has come to my attention that a lot of people are finding out about this old Jreg AU called Jregswap. And, if you found out about it recently, you don't really have much to go off of for information of it's short lived existence, except for this post which I'm making because of said lack of information)

Before I say the rest I would like to give credit to the main artist of Jregswap, @snalz-artt . Not only did he create the art, without him some of the most important stuff wouldn't have been recovered.

The Jregswap Extremes:

Here we have the first Reddit post about the concept, posted by the creator. It shows who the four main extremes would be switched with: Extremes who share many characteristics with them but also characteristics of the opposite quadrant. We have:

The Communo-Capitalist: A communist who believes in the creation of Anarcho-Capitalist Free Cities, where the top 1% would be culled regularly. (Based on this video)

The Homo-Fascist: A fascist who believes very strongly in LGBTQ+ rights. (A Centricide character)

The Anarcho-Fascist: An anarchist with extremely rightist views on cultural homogeny, race and identities in general. (A Centricide character but was also conceived in this video)

The Moneytaker: A radical capitalist who corrupts the state to bend to his will. (Based on this video)

Here's the art of the Swapped Extremes. Again, all art drawn by the person I mentioned at the start.

Here's some art featuring the leader of these extremes, Guevara Jreg. Snalz sent this to me when I asked him to help with this post.

Here's a comic the Jregswap team made. A dub of it was also the first Jregswap video ever made so that's cool.

The Jregswap Centrists:

The centrists in the order of this image are:

The Social Democrat, The Populist, The Centrist, The Neoliberal and The Moderate Conservative.

We never really got to many details on these guys, they seem self-explanatory enough I guess. They also seem to be the ideologies in the most moderate positions of each compass quadrant. Socdem libleft, Populist authleft, Neolib libright and Modcon authright.

None of these characters are based on Jreg characters, except for The Centrist who appeared in The Political Compass Rap at the end.

Here's an image of this AU's Nazbol equivalent, The Bleeding Heart Libertarian. Bleeding Heart Libertarians are economically right but culturally left, this idea was conceived of before Jreg had a Pink Capitalist character.

The Jregswap Overtons:

The (Russian) Reactionary, The Classical Liberal, The Wobblie (Industrial Workers of the World) and the Democratic Confederalist.

Similar to the centrists we never got to much information on these guys, but they are all real movements so whatever.

Welcome to The Wind’s Track AU!

A lot of people have been stopping by to check this AU out, so I thought now was a good time to make a pinned post for this.

What is this AU?

This is a Legend of Zelda AU in which Link, the Hero of Winds from Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass (nicknamed Wind in this AU), sticks around New Hyrule as a spirit after his life has reached its conclusion.

During his wanderings as a spirit one day, he went to check on his old pal Niko to find that Niko had taken in a baby named Link (nicknamed Spirit in this AU) whom he found washed ashore. This baby will eventually grow up to be the Hero of Spirits from Spirit Tracks. Wind is surprised at the matching name and almost identical appearance, but even more surprising than all of that is that this kid has the ability to see and hear him.

Basically, the ghost of the Hero of Winds helps raise the Hero of Spirits.

A: No. While Linked Universe is a wonderful AU, the Wind’s Track is its own, separate AU. The events of Linked Universe DO NOT and NEVER WILL HAPPEN in the “canon” of this AU. If you would like to see a little more of my thoughts on that, please view this post.

Q: Can I post fanart, fanfics, etc. of this AU?

A: Absolutely! If you do, all I ask is that you credit me for the AU. (Also, please tag me so I can see it. 🤭) While on the subject, feel free to check out the tag #WT reference sheet if you’d like to see references of the characters within the context of the AU.

Q: Is there an official fic for this AU?

A: Unfortunately, no. I am not a confident writer. I have an Ao3 account (Lindseybot), but I never post fics on it. I, instead, use it to subscribe, leave kudos, leave comments, etc. I occasionally post little comics of the AU here on Tumblr, however.

Q: Will there be a full comic then?

A: As of now, I do not have any plans to do that. Not only is this AU still very early in development, but that would take a LONG time. With my current schedule being the way it is, it just wouldn't be feasible. Still, never say never. You never know what the future may hold. As of now, I plan to just occasionally post mini comics and art pieces that take place at any random point in the timeline of the AU.

A: Sure!! I’m honored that you like my art enough to want to use it for that! Please just make sure to credit me!

For example unable to put an arm back in place. Only works for wounds and helping out. Can fix sprains or stuff though. Stellar Regeneration is limited to small things like losing a bit of your ear, a patch of skin comes off etc…)

•Flight / Hover (I just wanted to add it to fly lmao.)

•Force Field (Can protect against a bunch of stuff (for example lasers, rocks, blasts, explosions etc.) only can withstand strong attacks if supported by other allies who have similar powers. (For example but not limited too: Sun,Moon,Eclipse,Space,Other planets, Aurora Lights or other natural phenomenons related to space in some way.)

•Light manipulation (Able to summon a light source at any time. It helps when you’re afraid of the dark y’know?)

FUSED!VERSE

Fused!Verse a Multiverse we’re 3 Au’s or Out!codes are fused into 1 being

The Fused characters/Au’s will have their backstories, abilities, and etc different from their original counterparts but will also be sorta similar

I am not an artist so I mostly will post art that others have made, that is credited

I also cannot make a comic because of my lack of art skills however if anyone wants to make a comic of Fused!Verse I will be completely fine with it, just notify me beforehand

What’s interesting about Fused!Verse is that while i declare what is canon or not, it’s mostly a community Au

Its NOT completely a community AM, I still decide what is canon or not and other important decisions

This is because anyone can create a Fusion for Fused!Verse if they want too and it will be semi-canon to Fused!Verse (NOT completely Canon)

ABOUT THE MULTIVERSE

=======================

The multiverse itself is has the Anti-Void exists outside the multiverse and there are Voids that exist separately in each universe

The Doodle sphere and the Au's have changed and there is the addition of planes

There exists the Meta Space, the replacement of the doodle sphere, which is a void that exists inside the multiverse but outside the Au's, the void itself is black but has many 1’s and 0’s floating around in it

The Meta Space holds all the Aus, Meta Sphere is an area where Backup gathered a lot of Aus so that he can better protect them

The Aus in the Meta Space are floating islands contained within a bubble and in the island their contains a portal to the Au, the islands are all uniquely different from one an other as each island is meant to represent the theme of that Au, the portal frame follows this theme as well, but the portal itself is many sheets of page, all on top one another with the paper all saying the Name of the Au

The Bubbles that contain the Aus are meant to protect the Aus from anomalies, these bubbles are creatures that are somewhat sentient (think of the like Cells), any viruses, glitches, and anomalies that try to enter an Au will be blocked by the bubble so that they cannot cause damage to the Au Tho Backup has found a way to bypass the bubble protection and the bubbles cannot prevent someone trying to enter the Au using the Anti-Void or Void

These Bubbles move around in the meta space but it’s at such a low speed

if too many viruses and/or glitches are within an timeline of an Au, the timeline will lock itself preventing anything from exiting and destroying everything in it

The Destruction of Undertale

Long ago before Backup entered in this multiverse, A virus had entered it, trying to infect the code and destroy this multiverse

But this multiverse firewall and anti-virus protection software was able to hold off the virus and eventually the virus was deleted

Or so it thought, a piece, a small singular piece of the virus had escape its deletion, due to the multiverse recovering from the event, it was not able to detect it

and eventually this small virus managed to infect undertale and went undetected for so long

eventually the multiverse created bubbles to protect the Au’s from such an event if it were to happen again

and after such a long time, the virus came back but it was stuck in UT due to the fact the bubble was able to sense it and trap it

Now stuck in Undertale and Au began to destroy itself and then Undertale was gone and the virus had seemed to finally be destroyed

FUSION RULES

=======================

Make sure to @mrblank-0 on tumblr and I will include it in the list by linking your blog to mine so you are credited for making the fusion

Note: Any Fusions made by the community (Aka not me/the creator) are not considered CANON, they are SEMI-CANON

The fusions have to be a fusion of 3, for example, [Character] X [Character] X [Character]=[Fusion], this applies to Out!code and AU fusions

Note: You can only fuse 3 Out!Codes together or Fuse 3 AUs/ATs together, you cannot fuse an Out!Code with an AU unless in specific circumstances

You can fuse an Out!code with an Au if it follows these circumstances

If the Au was not destroyed and the out!code just simply is lost in the multiverse or spends time outside their Au, then it is alright to fuse their Au with another

Characters that simply leave their Au due to everyone being dead or something similar, they count as Au characters but it is alright if you consider them out!codes and can be used in out!code fusions, For example Something New Aka Killer

Do not use Crossover Au’s in fusions

I want this to be just an Undertale multiverse plus Crossover Au’s are already considered fusions, they will/should not be in Fused!Verse

You cannot fuse 3 Aus that are extremely similar for example fusing underswap, swapswap, and undershift

Be more creative with your fusions, if the Au’s have VERY similar concepts, there is no point in fusing them with each other

Credit the creators of the original Aus when you post it online like on tumblr or etc

This should be self explanatory, unless you don’t know the creator of the Au/out!code, you should always credit them

You cannot use the same fusion someone else has already used (For Community fusion Au’s it’s a bit of an exception)

Now for community fusions, you don’t have to follow this rule, as I am not expecting everyone to know who is using what Au/out!code for their fusions, this rule applies to the CANON AUs and Out!codes in Fused!Verse, as YOU cannot use any of the Au’s/Out!codes listed here in the CANON list

Do Not use Au’s like Horrorshift or DustSwap as they are technically are already fusions

You can’t use those types of Au’s as AT either, just don’t use them at all as I said they are already considered fusions

You cannot use Au’s like SwapSwap, AfterAfter, DustDust, and etc in fusions,

To be more specific, you can use them as fusion ATs but not separate AU’s, I rather you use these types of AUs to make AT’s

For Fusions that contain characters that already are a fusion that are made by the same creator and is part of their lore/canon, you have to replace each of their fused characters with an alternate version

For example DT!Rain, Rain is a fusion of

-Papyrus

-Frisk

-Sans

So all you need to do is replace the sans, frisk, and paps with alternate characters that are considered A frisk, a sans, and a papyrus

You can make Alternate fusion timelines for Fused Au’s however note that the timeline must have 1 of its slots for the Au you are making the timeline of

For example: If you want to make a timeline for Fall of the corrupted Judge, the fusion of Dust!Tale, Horror!Tale, and Insanity

Your fusion AT must have either a Dust!Tale AT, Horror AT, or Insanity AT

It must have one of those ATs to be considered an AT of the AU

You can't use alternate versions of the same character in fusions

This speaks for itself but to specify, this means if one person lets say uses Dream in one fusion, you can't use dream in other fusions and this applies to any other dream that is made by other users, even if the dream is nothing like the original, if the creator specifies it as an alternate version of Dream, then it cannot be used

ohohoho thank you for asking this! I started it back in 2020 while we were still in lockdown. Hades & Persephone have always been one of my favorite myths and mythological couples, and while there is controversy over the origin of the myth, isn't it fitting that we're still continuing the oral tradition? It's hard to pinpont the "original" because there are so many different versions, and I always found that interesting and am open to all versions of it.

Once Upon a December is based on my favorite song from Anastasia, and since Persephone returns to the Underworld in the fall/winter, it was fitting that it would be based on that song.

I was also inspired by this comic, which is a darker take on the myth. Credit to Katadesmoi for the beautiful comic linked here.

I don't have much. Originally I was going to use First Order!Poe because he was popular at the time, but now I think Miguel O'Hara is so fitting. The Spider Society is like his Underworld- he's the one in charge of keeping the peace. With his obsession of canon events (even if it means the death of loved ones), isn't that also the god of the dead, the King of the Underworld? It is what it is, it's just the cycle of life to keep things in balance. We all have our time, and he's not one to intervene if it's been seen over and over and over.

I'm planning a slight AU and magical realism with it. While I'm still working on the kinks, I had this idea recently "what if Miguel is older than he looks? What if the Society, in a way, is the Underworld? Destruction follows him when the souls come to him, and imagine the irony that in order to keep the balance, he marries a woman who somehow has a link to the creation of different universes?"

3. What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

i don't know :( i like a lot of what i've written. however. when i think of my best work, the first thing that comes to mind is we're miles from way back when (quantum leap fic). and since it definitely ranks among my favorites, i'm using it as the answer.

8. What project(s) are you currently working on?

what project aren't i currently working on... i think the thing i have the most of is firestorm projects, the majority of which are divergent aus/what-if ideas (what if ronnie never got his powers back after stein became the elemental and left to travel the universe, what if gehenna wasn't the one to die in blackest night, what if the suicide squad's mission to capture firestorm was successful, etc). got a lot of jsa shit kicking around too, and some wrong earth concepts including one i'm pretty far into (probably 1/3rd of the way, which maybe isn't that much but is further than i've gotten for the others). i also have a doom patrol idea but if i wanted to write it properly it would take a lot of mental energy so it's on the back burner until i finish at least one of my other big projects.

14. If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium, such as comic or film, which fan fic would you pick?

give it up for we're miles from way back when everyone! i'm linking it twice! but if it's cheating to use it a second time i'd go with anything from the weight of living. and all of this would preferably comics.

15. How do you come up with titles for your fics/chapters?

the vast majority are song lyrics or the titles of songs. the past handful have been from fairly popular songs but i do usually try to make it just a little more obscure. if i'm going to title chapters, i'll try to make it on-theme with the title (i.e. in come avarice, come attrition all the chapter titles are the titles of other decemberists songs, in sirius & canopus they're all constellations, etc) while still being relevant to the story in some way (to use sirius & canopus as an example again, chapter eight, "corona borealis" is our "cameron" chapter).

20. What’s a favorite title for a fic you’ve written?

mmm... i don't think i can take credit for same stars, different perspective because it's a line from the comic it's based around, but that was the first one that came to mind. oh, given the context of the fic being about tyler my friend tyler i think epimetheus is really good! it's one of saturn's moons but it's named after a titan who represented hindsight, and... well, it's about tyler! the future justice league member who was the hero of saturn! trying not to be human and have hindsight and feeling guilt about not being able to protect his friend!

Hello, this is my blog it’s nice to meet you all. Where stories can be made or formed here. All you got to do is ask which story you want to seek out. Just read the rules first before we get started

On using Inverted Fate Characters in Fanworks and Multiverse Stuff

So, I wanted to address this in a bit more clarity since I get asked a lot. As a general rule, it is okay to use Inverted Fate characters in fanwork if a) you give CLEAR CREDIT and link back to the website, b) you do your best to preserve characterization and lore from the comic, c) you don’t use the AU as a punching bag for outcode guys like Error to destroy, and d) make it clear that it is not canon to the actual AU.

In the past I’ve also asked that people not make Inverted Fate versions of the following AUs: Underswap, Dust AUs, A/xetale or any AU that pairs the kids w/ adult characters, A/ltertale or any AU that pairs Undyne with male characters, and no AUs that have the base premise of “monster goes ‘crazy’ and kills everyone”. I also ask that people not make their own fan genocide runs for IF and that they don’t misgender the nonbinary characters.

Please no inc/est ships, either. Charisk is fine if it’s kept G-rated as they are not siblings in this AU but they’re also like...13-ish, so be reasonable. These are all just requests- I know I can’t stop people, but I just wanna set some boundaries.

With all that said, I’m generally fine w/ stuff like fell versions of IF and even have some lore and a Papyrus design if folks wanted to play around. Just make sure it’s made clear it’s unofficial to IF itself! AUs of IF have always been fine within reason. Just no “takes,” as IF is a deeply personal project of mine.

What if-scenarios and fanworks about IF itself are also chill, such as exploring the alternate endings in the playable fights, and I’m fine with IF characters interacting with Underswap or other AUs in crossovers. With that in mind, here is some information to keep in mind for crossover type works..

1) Inverted Fate is an AU without genocide runs and never had one in the old world.

I often see it discussed in multiversal things that every AU has neutral, pacifist, and geno. IF has no genocide run. While at one point I had considered and even had some ideas for a noncanon one, reevaluation on characterization and motives made me realize it just wouldn’t make sense and that those ideas were really contrived (especially for Flowey, who wants his power back).

Even if we ever did a larger playable project with the Ruins, any attempted murder runs would end early. Flowey would destroy the Ruins exit during the Asgore fight, and Frisk and Chara would be extremely pissed that such a run happened in the first place. Since Flowey needs everyone alive, he’d very much railroad things, and Frisk has too much baggage to even consider murdering monsters (and Chara would not approve due to remembering the old timeline and Frisk’s kind actions).

2) Canon Inverted Fate has no player in the main story or in the old timeline.

It is a world that has a lot of video game flourishes, but Frisk has always been their own person with a life and agency. The playable versions of scenes are more of an “AU of an AU” where we can control things, but Frisk retains that personality and agency and reacts when things are out of character, hence them resetting if you kill Alphys. That being said, you can treat the alternate endings of the fights as offshoots from the main story- what ifs and all that, but they are noncanon.

Since some AU crossovers play with stuff like players being an active part of the story, which puts IF in a bit of contrast to those kinds of universes.

3) Inverted Fate’s characters do not know that theirs is an AU in the first place, nor do they know the out of universe name of their AU.

On all accounts, they believe theirs is a normal universe and even something like regular Undertale would be seen as the “alternate” to them. They don’t have any in-universe nicknames (e.g. Stretch, Blue, Boss, etc). They just go by their names, though Chara does have the nickname “Captain Cryptic” from Frisk.

4) IF’s Red SOUL is not particularly special. All of the fallen humans could at one point save and load, and simply lost the will power to do so or had their determination overpowered by another human’s.

In the old timeline, they had all given up against Asgore. In this timeline, the Mage being alive for so long brought complications due to there being more than one human at any given time after the cyan human fell. Asgore killed the cyan-souled human still.

Frisk and Chara are both red-souled humans, but the “trait” of their red souls is not explicitly “determination.” Ultimately, what it is doesn’t matter, as IF doesn’t treat the “traits” of souls as anything profound.

5) The Undertale timeline that spawned Inverted Fate was destroyed.

Functionally, the people in the IF timeline are the same as in the previous world, just repurposed with new lives and no memory of what came before. Some small scraps exist elsewhere, so there’s room for some trippy stuff, but note that Flowey has no interest in bringing back the old world, and I’d rather not have IF “fixed” back into Undertale in fan projects.

6) Papyrus canonically has a device that can connect to other universes, but it is unstable and cannot reach worlds where the barrier is down.

Other travelers with other means are of course welcome to find other ways in, but if you want an easy connection, boom. Unstable transporter go brrr. Papyrus has only made one or two stable connections. One of them is @altereddestinyau.

7) IF Sans canonically drops socks into alternate dimensions with funny notes.

I am fine with other AUs referencing this. It’s just meant to be a silly thing, and the notes tend to have really bad jokes. He can’t choose which universe he drops socks into due to the unstbale nature of the machine.

8) Outcode stuff would make absolutely zero sense to IF’s characters.

They have never heard of your Inks, Errors, Dreams, etc, and concepts like the Doodlesphere are outside the understanding of IF’s characters. I’m fine with IF characters appearing in fanworks with these kinds of characters if they are treated respectfully, but in-universe, the IF world was created on accident by Flowey/Asriel. Granted, most of them do not know this.

9) Chara is merged to Frisk’s SOUL and does not appear as a ghostly figure.

They share a body and can alternate control. Only ghost monsters can hear them when they aren’t speaking through Frisk.

10) IF Gaster was not forgotten, the “void” does not exist here, and instead he is simply scattered across time and space.

In his current state, he is one with the fabric of time and space itself, beyond mortal comprehension. He cannot be saved and doesn’t really have an active presence in this world anymore and nobody really knows what happened besides the followers.

11) Keep in mind that Inverted Fate’s story is not over and is not beholden to UT’s story structure.

I think it would be best to set any crossovers no later than events that are currently covered in the comic because the story is going to be taking some very different turns in the near future.
