- Dave learned ballet, that's why he's good at moving in zero-g

- HAL is a theatre kid and he sometimes reminds Dave that he looks like Keir Dullea (i headcanon him to exist in ASO universe okay)

- Dave has a future descendant named Vera Atwood Bowman (guess where 'Atwood' comes from) who tries to prove that HAL did nothing wrong in her report of the Discovery mission

- Frank also has a future descendant named Elmo Poole, doing the same thing with Vera

- Dave has a fanbase back on Earth (full of fangirls making kpop fancams of him), owing to his pretty boy looks, calm personality, and intelligence (and the fact that he's part of Discovery mission to Jupiter)

- Dave used to have skincare and tech products brand deals because of it

Still on the same mood as two days ago so I did this again! Another tribute to Sherina, the one who taught me to keep wondering beyond the infinite to reach the rainbow waiting for us there 💫

How this art came to be was that I really liked how my previous Dave fanart turned out so I printed it to have Sherina herself sign it for me but she wasn't able to be present in the meet-and-greet...rather than wallowing it in, I'll just draw Dave again since the inside cover has this image, and I thought it'd be cute if Dave poses like this :""3

(this was so hard to draw considering that Dave is tall!!!)

When I was growing up, I dreamed about the stars, the moon, two ballerinas*, and what lies beyond the rainbow**....still do!

I promised myself in this post to talk more about media from where I live,

So here's a tribute to Sherina, the childhood hero(ine) who inspires me (and countless of children of my generation, nationwide) always, who sung about the moonlight and the mystery and beauty of the stars 💫

Who made me interested in space and eventually, a certain space odyssey....

When I grew up, I dreamed about the stars....still do!

Well, we can make the case that Dave dreamed to discover the stars as a child, to discover the secrets of Canopus, Capella, and Vega....eventually becoming the Starchild himself.

My 5th and 6th (of six) Gacha CG-styled fanart of Keir Dullea....not as Dave Bowman this time, but as David Clemens from David and Lisa (1962) aka the movie that put him in the spotlight years before 2001. Yes, he's a Dave in the movie but very much a 180 from the Dave in Space.

Drawn as a project celebrating Keir's 87th birthday, complete with a birthday celebration card!

In case you're asking, yes, it is inspired by OMG! The music video keeps reminding me of David and Lisa (parallels here) since both are about teenagers in a mental institution with scenes using clock motifs.....so I figured why not reference it back :3

after all, I am not immune to K-Pop songs that references a piece of Keir Dullea's filmography, be it intentional or not (possibly intentional in OMG's case)
