Could you do fic for Toto Wolff with wife reader? With him being the team principal for Merc, it was expected that she would also support the team and she did. But, she was and still a tifosi at heart and everyone knows it. So when Carlos wins the Australian GP and Charles P2, she sang her heart out during the national anthem was being played. He could see how much she loved the team and he wouldn't want her to stop supporting it. Because he always knew, whatever happened she would stick by his side no matter what. “Yeah, it was a little odd, we did ask a couple of Mercedes mechanics that we ran into, and they all seemed to know what we were talking about and they all had these knowing smiles, and Shov even quoted Seb saying ‘everyone is a ferrari fan. Even if they say they are not, they are a ferrari fan’ so very odd things going on in the Mercedes garage.” Paul di Resta mentioned

“Let’s um, let’s cut to the footage so you know what we’re talking about.” Damon Hill pointed at the screen.

The Sky broadcast cut to a past shot from the podium. The shot was pretty simple, Y/N standing in her Mercedes shirt, standing out in the sea of red and orange shirts. The anthem and the Italian engineers made it difficult to hear, but her body language and the fact that she was mouthing the words to the Italian National Anthem, with her arm around Fred’s shoulder, swaying side to side.

The camera then panned to Toto, who had an adorable look on his face. It had obviously been a horrible weekend for Mercedes, but he had a grin on his face as he watched Y/N cheering for ferrari. Multiple mechanics were calling out his names as he gazed at his wife looking at the ferrari boys.

“Damn he’s whipped, i think that’s what all the kids are saying these days.” Paul di Resta said

“And speak of the man himself, hey Toto. Got time for a chat?” Damon Hill called out to the tall Austrian, as he walked past. Toto nodded and grabbed a microphone.

“Toto, we obviously saw your wife celebrating the ferrari 1-2, should we be concerned that she is leaving you to join Lewis at Ferrari?” Paul di Resta asked

“No, not at all, whatever happens, I have faith that my wife will stick by my side no matter what. I also don’t think she finds the guys with no hair attractive, so better luck next time Fred.” Toto shrugged before wandering off, probably to find his wife.

i probably Have analyzed it but i can't find it and its been so long so. will Happily ramble here about what i think its about <3 tbh this is the most beautiful ask i could ever get thank u <3

since you asked what i think tkaa is about, i'm not gonna do this in the normal way i analyze songs, which is a more line-by-line style to paint a picture of the whole story of the song, but instead just wanna like. ramble fksjdnf about it and what it means to me

i think the entire meaning of the song can be summed up by the line, "and in the end, i'd do it all again / i think you're my best friend", which really is to mean that i think that the overarching theme of the song is that life can be worth repeating and going through again for the people that you go through it with. connection and relationships give life incredible meaning, even with the bad things, even with sorrow and darkness, love makes it worth it- i'm yours, when it rains it pours, stay thirsty like before, as the song goes. when the storm comes, as the rain starts pouring and destruction closes in on you, wouldn't it be more comforting to have somebody beside you? facing the chaos with their hands in yours? wouldn't it be worth going through the storm again (stay thirsty like before) just to have those moments with the people you love?

and normally when i analyze songs, i very much try to stay away from analyzing them in a way that is very personal to pete/the members of the band just because... i don't wanna be presumptive! but, this song feels like one of the few that i Can't look at separate from pete and the band. no song feels more like a love letter to the band, and even to the fans, than the kids aren't alright. this band has known each other for over half their lives, they have been best friends and brothers for longer than they haven't been. every up and down each of them have gone through since they met each other, they have gone through together, they have seen their darkest sides and deepest depressions and through it all have Still chosen to love each other and stick together. as the rain has come and poured on them, as the storm that is life shipwrecked the band and sent them stranded in seemingly opposite directions, the love remained. the found each other again, because they were willing to do it all again for each other. their love and friendship is the purest embodiment of the song, and is the thesis of fall out boy as a band, to me. even through destruction and overbearing egos and inner turmoil each of them were experiencing that we are likely to never know the depths of- they Chose that their bonds were worth it, their bonds made life worth living and fighting for.

i feel that spirit, that life is worth fighting for if you have someone/something you love to Live for, is perfectly encapsulated by the lyrics, "and it's our time now if you want it to be / maul the world like the carnival bear set free"- if you want, life is ours for the taking regardless of the rest of the world. carnival bears were often mistreated and repressed, beaten down for acting in their nature, if one were set free they would finally truly be Free to be how they wish to be. in the context of the song, because we have each other, we can take the world on how We want, we can be who We want to be, Together. This is also something that i think is the thesis of fall out boy- the band of underdogs for underdogs, fighting for a space in the world to be safe and express themselves how they want to, and because they've found each other and an audience that Understands them, they can maul the world like the carnival bear set free. they are mauling the world, with every song released and show performed, they're taking on the world on their terms as a united band of best friends. and with their fans behind them, that spirit is embodied tenfold, making this song not only feel like a song for the band, about the band, but Also about the fans and for the fans.

before coming to any sweeping conclusion, i wanna talk about the bridge, because i feel like it is the last piece that does fully show what i think the song is about in totality. The bridge goes, "sometimes i just want to sit around and gaze at my shoes / and let your dirty sadness fill me up just like a balloon"- other than the carnival bear line, i believe this might be my favorite lyric of the song (which is saying a lot in a song of banger after banger line), as i feel the imagery it paints is just so heartaching and melancholy in such a beautiful way. there's a lot here in these lyrics, from how in the genius annotations pete annotated this line with a still of someone's shoes and a bunch of guitar pedals on the ground- something he would no doubt gaze down at when gazing down at his shoes while recording or performing, hammering home the meaning of this song being about/for the band and the fans. they share their sadness with each other, with the fans (to an extent), and the fans share their sadness back- music is always a reminder of the bond we all share in our heaviest moments, as is the guitar pedals being present when gazing down at your shoes in sorrow or guilt. another point i want to make is about "gaze at my shoes" perhaps being a play on words about "shoegaze" as a genre of music defined by guitar distortion and effects and a dreamy/ethereal feel- connecting the picture, the lyrics, the meaning of the band and fans always being there and music being a connection between us all, in a way. essentially, i feel this lyric is just a very melancholy, beautiful way to say sometimes its very easy to just wallow in your feelings, but having somebody with you to help take on your sadness, having these connections and these bonds, can make it lighter.

to try and find a way to summarize it, i really do just think the kids aren't alright is about love. in its purest form, it's about love. loving other people enough to live for them, finding the bonds and connections that give meaning to a meaningless existence, allowing yourself to feel pain in equal measure with pleasure. these are things that make life what it is, without these things life would be numb, meaningless nothingness. in the purest way, i believe the kids aren't alright is about what it is to be human and to love with reckless abandon, to be free to be and feel and love even if pain is present. Because pain doesn't diminish the love or light you can experience in life, and allowing yourself to believe anything less is to deny yourself a instrumental piece of the human experience.

this a sort of complain of capcom and some fans.

i have been *seeing posts of people 'trying' to slander claire and trying to uplift ada. when you see why they try to make those conclusions, it sort of makes sense why. ada is a character in resident evil and the fans solely base her around leon and her bad actions. it makes sense why people try to defend her especially when some (not all) claire fans mention ada's name over and over in attempts to slander her.

the line of defense of ada is, "well, without ada, nothing would've happened. leon wouldn't have survived raccoon city. oh, well, she sold plagas and continued the story in re5. she caused the issues of re6 and fixed them. she helped leon with the information in the end of re6. ada isn't really bad if she..."

blah, blah. all are valid points, but we are missing the biggest detail. why is ada's character written like that? why did ada patch leon up? why did the cold mercenary gain a heart in the original re2? why does she have to be there for leon?

it's fucking capcom.

you guys are allowed to like ada. guys, i like her. i fucking adore ada, but let's be honest. capcom doesn't know what's ada's motives were in the original game. the only reason ada does those things is because capcom doesn't know what to do. why did ada save leon if letting to die would be faster and quicker for her? idk.

or why does ada feel obligated to help leon in the og separate ways? idk.

why is ada a morally gray character? oh, yeah. for capcom it's for keeping leon safe.

Both as a person-on-the-internet and for work as an entertainment news writer, I often find that I first year of someone (a youtuber, an athlete, etc) because of a scandal or a tragedy and never see the side of them that their fans did, so I don't feel the disappointment, betrayal, doubts, and defensive impulses that fans feel. Which is normal.

I also think that it's normal for people to repeat information that they've just been told. So if you've never heard of Watcher Entertainment (even if you recognize the boys from the memes) and your first exposure to the idea is someone you follow expressing distress or anger over them, it wouldn't leave you with a good impression. I totally get that.

In this case, I'm lucky enough to have some wonderful friends who are Watcher fans. One of whom was, in person, updating me on some of the more toxic "fan" antics last Friday, which prompted me to look up more on my own.

Like I (may have; it was a long post) said in response to the earlier ask, I totally understand someone expressing disappointment that they'll need to pay artists for the media that they create when it was previously free-with-ads. I think that the appropriate response to that is simply never, ever racist backlash, inventing malicious headcanons about who made which decisions, or launching a harassment campaign over it.

PS: I have seen people say "eat the rich" in this context, which is laughable but also predictable. I forget the quote, but it's something about how many people with this attitude end up venting their anger at dentists and mildly successful character actors rather than at corporate tycoons, an attitude that benefits only corporate tycoons.

I recently play Batman: Arkham City, a game that I first played back when it came out on the PS3, and so now I just want to talk about my recent experience with the game as it's been so long that this felt like the first time I played it.

Things I Liked:

The true feeling of being Batman

The sound effects they added when you're beating on criminals really puts weight into every single punch and kick.

The gadgets that also add to making you feel like Batman. There are so many different ways you can use them in any situation that the game throws your way.

Zipping and/or gliding around is such a fun feeling.

Really good enemy progression. You have basic melee thugs, thugs with guns that you shouldn't approach from the front, thugs wearing body armor that you have to stun first, thugs with edged weapons that require a special dodge, bigger thugs that require the ultra stun a few times, thugs with nightvision goggles that didn't really help them, thugs that place mines, bigger thugs with shields that require a different kind of stun and so on. The enemy progression is done so well.

The few boss fights were not as bad as I was expecting, with the exception of one.

The free flow combat just works so well. Having Batman just float from enemy to enemy in groups is just so nice.

The Catwoman sections were really nice as she plays so much different from Batman, it was nice having her sections breaking up the Batman sections.

Getting to play as Robin in the beginning of the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC was very fun.

Things I Did Not Like:

The Trials Of The Demon. I absolutely hated this because of the going from doing a dive bomb to having to pull up because sometimes the controls just fought me and I died over and over in this part. Easily the worst part of the game for me.

The many times of having to be grappling or gliding around playing hot or cold with a variety of things. Whether I was tracking a signal or tracking the coldest part of Gotham to locate Mr. Freeze. It wouldn't be so annoying if it happened like twice but, it happens like four or five times and just got annoying. It honestly felt like padding the game's run time with how much they make you do this.

The final fight against Clayface was really frustrating because of the fact that in the second phase, Clayface has an attack that happens so fast after another attack that there is no possible way to be able to dodge it. I think that it's not fair that you are stuck taking this damage because it's not avoidable.

Overall, Arkham City is a classic and is a must play for anyone, especially if you're a Batman fan. Arkham City is a good an enjoyable game that is definitely worth playing.

tonight is a "getting emotional over paul bellini" kind of night <3

#just thinking about how lucky i am that not only did he see me being a nerd over mouth congress almost two years ago and reach out to say hi #but also that in our first conversation he asked about my comedy and immediately was interested in seeing where it could go #like i have a distinct type of dynamic with each of the kith people i know of course #but bellini's always going to be special to me bc he's the first one i met. he's the one who met me before i knew anyone related to kith #both scott and bruce met me as someone who already knew someone from the show. but bellini met me as just a random fan #like he didn't have to bring me into the world of kith as much as he did but he wanted to!#and idk i'm just thinking about it bc in my little interview i did with him for my final in a comedy class #i did ask him what it was about my comedy that made him think it had potential #and he gave such a thoughtful answer that really showed he thinks i'm funny and that i could be a great comedian #and he referenced past work i've shown him etc. and it was all in that great bellini tone where he's very complimentary #but it never feels disingenuous or like he's just being nice bc he respects you enough to tell you his honest opinions #i value a compliment from scott or bruce or paul very much bc they're all some of my favorite comedians and my mentors #and of course having a different dynamic with each of them means i will value their comments in different ways #and i wouldn't say i value one person's feedback more than another's #but there's always something special about bellini bc he's the one who has known me the longest and knew me before all of this #(technically he's the only one who got to know me as a teenager bc i was 19 when we met even tho my 20th birthday was a few weeks later)#and yeah i really hope he's having a good night tonight bc he deserves it

the Nate Shelley s3 arc reminds me of the s5 Murphy arc in terms of how much I actually loved it despite it not being widely liked by the fandom and was actually disappointed because it wasn't ugly enough lol

and it's basically the same arc. character with deep-seated wounds and a lack of true self-love has realistic, damaging coping methods and crashes and burns spectacularly by hurting other people around them and isolating themselves because it doesn't matter how good things get for you, deep-seated wounds that don't get addressed will eventually come out one way or another. and it will be ugly when they do.

the Murphy arc was disappointing because it got wrapped up way too easily with Memori getting back together which didn't actually address ANY of Murphy's issues and Nate's was disappointing because it just didn't commit fully to being ugly and didn't let him be enough of an asshole
