hi guys! im back. i went tokyo for a few days. got back at 7 this morning after taking an overnight 7 hour bus ride.... that i did not sleep on bc i cant sleep in moving vehicles. this will be something closer to a proper blog post i guess. splatoon related convention? experience below
i've kept my mouth shut about my plans to go because its not as well known on the english side of the fanbase and i didnt wanna make people too jealous sorry LOL , but i went to splaket 22! it's an unofficial, splatoon-only doujinshi market/artists alley. this was my first convention-sort-of event ive been to since i was... in high school. i also dont really get to meet many other hardcore splatoon fans irl. i was nervous about it because i don't know a whole lot of people on the JP side nor do i have a lot of confidence in my japanese speaking/listening, but in the end it was SUPER fun. i wish i couldve talked a bit more to the artists i did encounter to comment on what i liked about their works but. Skill Issue
very few non-japanese people at this event of course but one of the only english speakers i saw i called out to bc they were wearing a shirt with this exact image printed on it
no video and no photos outside of designated areas were allowed so i got like. zero pics of my own. but there was a lot of cosplayers i saw!
oh and here's the Loot Haul. a few doujin, a clear file, stickers, microfiber cloth and a keychain. im surprised at how little i got, i think i shouldve gone a bit crazier with it
the one with Tao Blu and oonie in the top left (by sachikazerick) I came across by chance and bought because it was cute, featured splatband characters, and also because it all in some familiar inkling language (the last point of which i told the artist as i was buying)
when i finally got home and saw the back credits...
SMALL FUCKIN WORLD LOL (i tweeted at the artist afterwards to let him know i came by the table and to thank him for using me and my friend's inkling language fonts!) though truly, i think ardnin deserved the credit more rather than me since he made most of those fonts! ah well, still cool to see more and more fan works using deciphered inkling language.
top middle book is a story with some salmonid characters that i havent read yet but im looking forward to it, the art is lovely.
top right one was the first thing i bought. the artist is rk_splaworks, whose art i love, and we've been mutuals for a few years and have talked a bit here and there! i was so fucking nervous to meet them in person since my japanese sucks LMAO but they were happy to meet me too and we got a selfie together yippy <3 also havent read their doujin Yet since ill have to rub all my brain cells together and huddle over the dictionary, but i want their oc lore
ok that's all i'll say, next splaket is...june 22. very soon....im already thinking ill. go again. yknow. while im still in japan and all that. i guess ill have to study harder on my jp in the meantime teehee
...i doubt it, but in the off chance anyone following me is going to the next splaket in june lemme know!

It would be more cooler if like MEGAN plays genshin or like knows all the lore and characters (the power she holds☠️)

♫♪♩grew up in a case of fragile glass, but hammer away its time to crash.
you and xiao had been dating for about seven months. it started off rough, but you both eventually managed to make it work.
however, these days, xiao had been quite distant lately, randomly disappearing at night and refusing to meet you at the wangshuu inn.
that was, until one day he called you to the rooftop of the inn, saying you both needed to talk about something important.
"it's dangerous for you to be associated with me."
♫♪♩and as it shatters let me shatter into you
your body tensed up at his words. "xiao, i knew what i was getting into when i decided to be in a relationship with you."
"y/n, im doing this for your safety. lets.. end what we have." he crossed his arms and turned to look at you. when his gaze met yours, he saw tears pile up in your eyes.
you quickly realized this, and dabbed your eyes dry. "xiao- its okay. i know that you'll protect me. we dont need to end everythi-"
"enough! dont make this harder than it already is. stop being such a bother and just listen to me."
you were taken aback by his words. he thinks of you as a bother? had he always felt like this during the seven months of your relationship? was he just with you out of pity?
".. do you really think that?" you looked up at him. his heart felt a pang of guilt, but this was the only way he could get you to listen. he was silent, and you took it as a yes.
"i-i'm sorry- i'll leave." tears were welling up in your eyes again and you turned to leave, accidentally dropping your bracelet. xiao noticed it on the ground after you left, and picked it up to inspect it.
it was the bracelet xiao gave you the day he confessed his feelings to you.
♫♪♩ the soft candle glow, the music so slow, your skin on my skin, the room is spinning
"xiao? you wanted to speak with me?" he rarely ever called for you, since it was always you who started conversations with him. you got used to it though, he was always like that even when he met you.
xiao sighed to himself and questioned why he decided to do this. after all, he was an adeptus and you were a human, there were rules and or course you couldn't possibly be able to have a relationship.
yet, xiao wanted to break those rules for you.
"y/n. you make me feel... different. you make me feel warm whenever we meet up. you're the only person i could open up to. i'm not sure what emotions i'm feeling, but is this what you humans call love?" your eyes widened at what he said. you blinked once, then twice, before taking his hands into yours.
"you're not joking, right? you're not playing with my feelings, right??" you looked up at him hopefully, and he nodded shyly. you gave him a hug and he felt your breath against his ear. "you don't know how long i was waiting for you to say that.."
♫♪♩i've never been so fragile
gone were those times, and now you both went your seperate ways. xiao would be lying if he said he hadn't loved you. this was for your safety, he reminded himself.
♫♪♩its been a year and forty days, since you picked me up and swept me away
as you ran down the stairs of wangshuu inn, tears welling up in your eyes once again as you ran as fast as you could to liyue harbor.
it was already night when you arrived to the harbor. running through the bustling streets of liyue, you accidentally bumped into someone. tears still rolling down your face, you quickly apologized before you felt a hand on your shoulder.
you looked up and saw that it was kazuha, a friend of beidou's. you only saw him once when beidou offered you a tour of her ship.
"k-kazuha?" you looked at him, tears still running down your cheeks.
"are you alright? what's got you so upset, dear?" he asked you, confusion painted all over his face. you realised you were still crying and quickly wiped away your tears. kazuha, not knowing what else to do, he pulled you into a tight embrace. he always had a teeny crush on you, seeing you around the harbor everytime beidou and her crew stopped by liyue and feeling his heart beat faster in his chest, but he overheard you and beidou talking about your s/o, xiao.
you were surprised, but you wrapped your arms around him, returning his embrace. ah, a breakup.
"i'm here.. you're alright."
"i'm sorry.. i don't want to be a bother." you said, tightening your hold on kazuha's body.
he pulled away to look down at you, your eyes meeting. "you could never be a bother to me, y/n."
for some reason, in that moment, you felt a pair of eyes on you.

@musicalisotope hi im going to. make this a post instead of a reply sorry i have a lot to say on this.
aru sekai is a really. obtuse series. none of its going to make much sense on its own. if it does i need u to share ur brain with me. anyway,
i think if u want to start anywhere i'd say either aru sekai shoushitsu, marshall maximizer, or laboratory.
aru sekai shoushitsu is the very first song its really long & theres so much in it & it sounds like nonsense by itself, however its a pretty complete summary of the whole plot. if u get lost once u hit the fuu lines & after dont worry about it we dont have the context for those yet. it's a lot to take in but once u move onto the other songs it all starts to click together like oh shit thats what that meant. it IS a lot tho. its also the most objective song of all of them; the rest are very subjective to their respective characters' views
marshall maximizer is of course the most popular song but thats not why im saying it. im saying it because it's the first time the concept of losing one's self/ego is really expanded on & thats a very very big part of the narrative. the lyrics it might be harder to pick up on that but the text in the background talks about it in a more direct way. its subjective to the chara's pov but it does a good job of establishing that "person" vs "thing"(no longer a person) concept. important to note this character is only an observer of that.
laboratory is similar its that same major concept of those who are still "people" vs those who arent any more. the difference here being its her experience as she crossed the line between the two. its a lot more direct than the other songs & its pretty easy to see the whole weight of the scenario & because of that it really helps put the severity of the other songs into place.
as for the others theyre very subjective & its a little harder to figure out whats going on. but in short kyuuyaku hankagai establishes its not just a personal risk & its a very long repeating event, shuuen touhikou is mostly to answer the question "well what if they gave up & didn't face the problem", oumen mokushiroku is overall that its pointless to take huge risks to themselves beyond the obvious, unplanned apoptosis is actually showing how the "doing things for yourself will save you" concept works, kanon gets into how precise their work has to be to get anywhere among other things, kugutsu ashura is a wall of words idk why u would ever start there its also weird bc she doesnt seem to be affiliated with the rest of them? an outsider forced to endure the consequences i think. i still have to dissect this one more for sure, & the new one yamete kudasai is kind of similar to laboratory but it shows more of the reasons people are pushed to the point of losing themselves.
there are. a LOT of very small easy to overlook details across all the songs. theres no one way to progress through the story since all the songs build off each other & show off different aspects of the plot & world they live in. & u also have to take into account not all of them are reliable narrators (im staring at the unplanned apoptosis girl in particular). theres also a LOT of details we still need expanded on to get the full picture but i think we're going to get more side context songs before magu moves onto to the fuu song to continue the order in aru sekai shoushitsu. the text in the background of songs that have it is also a major part of the story u cant just skip over it if you're trying to figure out whats going on. (this includes kanon. the original tweet with the decode was taken down but i still have the text saved.... somewhere. i will get that for anyone that wants it. very brief but it gives a glimpse of what the start of a retry looks like as well as why theyre in the situation in the first place)
VERY few people keep up with it as a series most people i see just think the songs sound good & leave it at that so i dont blame u if u do the same but its a very intricate story if u have the time & patience to work it out
also small side note magu's said all the charas have names but theyre a secret until later so they have to have some relevance with whats going on. it'll be a very interesting reveal for sure. we think theres 2 names in aru sekai shoushitsu (saginuma hisame & layla) but we dont know for sure who they are or if theyre even any of the girls in the songs. (best guess is the the shoushitsu chara & kyuuyaku chara respectively). thats not super important to know rn tho. also aru sekai series is a fan given name based on the first song since magu has never once talked about the contents of the series outside of what we get in the songs. (unless directly asked but theyre vague in their answers)

Hello all you may remember me from such bangers as 'show me the proxies in marble hornets' and 'and another thing'
oday um here to talk about how we've fucking regressed as a fandom since creepypasta and marble hornets on ao3 got. presumably merged as a fandom tags bc sorting for exclude crossovers still shows creepypasta fic. in fact doing that just now to confirm this, the very first fic on the list was creepypasta.
so obviously this is a huge pain in the ass for anyone who wants marble hornets fanfic and only marble hornets fanfic. you cant even remove creepypasta fics with exclude crossover, youd have to do it manually with filtering options not everyone knows how to use. and we shouldnt have to yknow? you should be able to go in your fandom tag on ao3 and find only that fandom and crossovers (which should be easily filtered out by exclude crossovers) same as here on tumblr crosstagging is a huge issue but the worst part of it is that the continuous crosstagging in recent years has caused the fandom tags to be merged (not fully as shown by the fact that the numbers for amount of fic in each tag is different) but enough that they're considered the same universe by ao3 which is. blatantly untrue.
creepypasta is a catchall term for internet short stories made by a community, marble hornets is one single webseries online. fuck the creepypasta fandom wouldnt be what it is without huge swaths of shit stolen from marble hornets (like yknow, the pages, the operator symbol, masky and hoodie) but that doesnt mean they are marble hornets fans that doesnt mean theyre making marble hornets content. that would be like saying that since fnaf and batim are kinda similar and the fans have an overlap that means theyre the same and should be tagged the same. they arent, and shouldnt be yknow?
also apologies this isnt the best post im kinda fried rn and im stuck on mobile
that not withstanding its fucking depressing. this did not used to be an issue. thr only fics tagged with both were generally easy to ignore or a real honest to god crossover, but now i swear you look at the mh tag on ao3 and the majority of the recent fics are crosstagged crp fics with giant tag lists that tack up the whole page and tag anyone who is so much as mentioned
and maybe this is a step too far here. but i really think this is bc of tiktok. the people crosstagging posts and fics seem to be the same type to complain avout the 'ao3/tumblr algorithm' not favoring them. but there is no algorithm, just annoyed fans who have to dig for their actual content because people dont have common decency anymore. theres an etiquette you need to follow for shit like this. like how would you feel if like. i dunno. fucking... genshin (just an example of a large fandom or whatever made a character cameo out of like jeff the killer and suddenly all the crp tags were filled with genshin posts not even related to or barely mentioning the character, just ti try and get more clicks?
youd be pretty fucking annoyed having to scroll past all that to find actual creepypasta content huh?
thats the same issue happening here, and honestly i think its a huge issue. for obvious reasons but also bc its so much harder to find mh content now that im sure its incredibly disheartening to be a creator in the fandom rn and foe the past few years. you work and make content for your rather small fandom and its buried under barely related shit, its gonna feel bad yknow? especially when that content gets more clicks bc. frankly theres more creepypasta fans than mh fans just bc of what creepypasta is format wise. its collectively made shortstories. you can like one or two and bc a crp fan, its not like that for mh
this is going kinda off my starting topic but anyways if theres any ao3 tag wrangles following me or who see this.
please for the love of god i beg of you to do anything you can to unmerge those tags i will do anything ill get receipts proving they're separate things please unmerge the tags im dying here

ok!! aster ur rlly private thats y its a bit harder 2 get a read on u wit just online personas alone but bc of that i dunno if u know or even notice but ur some kind of idol or icon that a lot of ppl recognize u for. some ppl look at u for support or even maybe encouragement sometimes forgettinf the fact that ur not just some sort of model or super strong guy who can handle anything. you do have ur own insecurities and are struggling just as much as everyone.
just a guess, but maybe thats why u said u were a "jupiter kinnie" reblogging saturn's post bc it was about being put to the sidelines and watching everyone else shine but you. i was abit confused but i think i peiced it 2gether now. maybe, in relation to ur community here in tumblr, you feel a little left out. maybe its because ppl see your persona as strong and so so so confident that they think that you can never be 'left out' because you are THE star, you know? ironic to your posts about feeling like a stranger that your moots barely talk to, most moots i know actually get excited on the occasional times youre active. There r some who even get genuinely upset or overthink when u dont talk to them bc u dont initiate convo and they usually expect you to keep the connection instead bc they wouldnt wanna feel annoying or a bother to you. (which is not ur fault btw because you are a human being with his own time and his own life and know that you are not a mind reader so ppl shouldnt expect u to cater to their worries just bc ur idolized as this super confident encouraging persona and get less considered as an actual person who doesnt know everything n can also have their own moments)
Basically ppl admire you like an idol and find u so unreachable meanwhile u feel a lonely bc it feels like everyone is so great but you. Aster, youre the best guy ever and everyone likes you a lot. mayb this could also answer ur question on why some ppl r a little nervous wit giving u thoughts n asks. I could be wrong bc i dont rlly know you irl but this is just an outsiders deduction

I think those people who hold what Carlos’ parents do against him are mostly the same group of people who hate Carlos on principle, nitpicking everything he does or says 🤷♀️ I imagine they want to be bullies in real life but are too afraid of consequences so they resort to social media to live out their mean girl fantasies online where you can say anything without any repercussions (unless you’re a celeb I guess). It’s the sad reality we live in. He gets hate when he’s realistic in interviews about ferrari’s results which somehow means he doesn’t have a champion mentality, but when he says he wants to win - he’s totally delusional. Like, pick a struggle, people haha. Or like drama the other day, that he hasn’t been a Ferrari fan since birth therefore isn’t as worthy of support as Charles. Just all these stupid things that make my head explode every time I see it. Why would anyone waste their time posting obsessively about someone they don’t like? I will never understand.
Again, I’m not talking about all Charles fans of course, just those hardcore stans that dedicate their socials to Carlos hate more than to supporting their fav. I like to believe that in a couple of years they’ll look back on what they were doing and be ashamed and learn to never do it again to anyone, celeb or not.
I also want to say that I’m sad that Carlos barely posts on social media himself but at the same time I hope it means he doesn’t see all this stuff, because when this kind of animosity is directed towards you over the silliest things, I think it’s harder to get over it in a way, because you can’t explain it logically to yourself…
so so glad we are in agreement about the parents thing too, i feel like so many people lose touch of reality and forget that theyre humans who have family, friends, that arent a full representation of them 😫.
you might get me introuble w the whole charles thing but… i agree. some (not all at all) are very questionable. i do think they actively as you mentioned spend more time talking abt carlos then their fav which ? why 😭 (ive mainly seen it on f1twt tbh). like the online hate is ridiculous- i also recently realised its really reserved online? i had this perspective that so many of the tifosi disliked carlos but the whole monza weekend he was so so loved. i was so surprised until i realised its literally a problem that mainly exists online 💀.
but im gonna be honest as well, charles as well gets quite a bit of hate. after monza i saw it increase a bit, which i do not stand for and i think overall that those people online should take their heads out of their ass and focus on bringing their favorite driver up than tearing another one down. you can support your favorite driver without rooting for the downfall of another. can your driver only be good/better if the other driver is shitty? is that the image you want? i also agree anon, they’re probably repressed irl and need to release negativity through comments.
i really miss how active carlos was on social media, im sad that i missed his mclaren era and just posting for fun. ofc we get the occasional post here and there but the vibe is really different. but yeah- at the end of the day it might be better that he doesnt see the hate but at the same time i dont think it changes much bc hed still be online… just not posting as often. im just kind of sad we see less of his personality more than anything else ):

im really hoping they do seanmaitee and not naysean for this, bc otherwise ill probably scream and riot. i love winnysatang with all my being, but their characters in this show shouldn’t be a couple in my opinion (if you ship them i have absolutely no problem with that). from memory (and i binged simm not too long ago so i think my memory is reliable), they’re literally only in the same room together once, and they dont even interact at all. SEANMAITEE, ON THE OTHER HAND, were SO CLEARLY being built towards in the show (the way maithee would hit on so many people, and sean would constantly stop him, but then when sean watched someone else hit on daonuea but didnt stop him, and the way sean always has a protective arm around maithee, and gejrdhfbghr i could talk about them forever honestly), and then the COWARDS freaking DIDNT MAKE THEM OFFICIALLY CANON???? im so salty about this and need confirmation and i will be Angry™️ if they do naysean instead of seanmaitee

Just to say a few things about the aks someone send about being "deletable/relatable" and about lesbian culture: lesbian culture was created by lesbians that believe eberything avout ou socirty to be men made and meb centric (heteropatriarchy). Then, the lesbians, who lived among women only created their own spaces to survive, live and enjoy themselves. Their commom interestes was nothing more than to relate to each other, all of them had their own individuliaty, but they live in an collectiveness and they knew it. (and ofc almosy every lesbian were a part of feminists groups, either the women's liberation movement, black womeb liberation movement etc etc)
I myself agree with you and the person that send the ask in the way i dont see myself in whatever the lesbian community is at right now, the trends etc. Tiktok is so so bar i think, and theres this huge gap when you are not from the US, since everything from there we as exposed too. But yeah, theres a lesbian vanguard for us available, I like your tumblr so much bc its exactly it, somehow you make the lesbian voices from the past alive here, i adore you for it. And the fact you search for this type of material is already not isolating bc so many lesbian like me come here for this especificlly. Lesbian culture still exists, its harder now bc of social media I believe and the state that the world is right now and ofc we somewhat lost the collective feeling of a community :( which makes everything even more isolating for us....

And you are so right. Circumstances have fully changed how what the lesbian community is. It’s funny though you saying that reminded me of that one comic strip by Alison Bechdel (I think it was from Dykes To Watch Out For) where one of the characters was talking about how when she showed up the lgbt scene wasn’t what it once was and how she missed out - yet many people nowadays would say the same thing about that time period. I think it’s so easy to wish for things to be what they once were, especially if you yourself (not necessarily you, just people in general aha ) haven’t lived through it. Humans seem to have a track record of romanticising the past. Especially when they feel out of place in the present.
Also that is such a beautiful and kind thing to say about my tumblr 🥺 I could cry. I really appreciate you taking the time to say that. I’m so happy and grateful I’ve been able to cultivate a small place in this corner of the internet for people to feel seen and happy in their identities and personhood. Having a weird night in which the knowledge that i am the only person that an ex friend has told that they want the body of the sex they werent assigned, and that i may be the only person they tell, i dont know what to do with that information. Like i hope they find people who help them come into themselves if they can but they very specifically have told me they dont think any trans-ness is worth it for them bc they dont think they can have the body they want and they dont dislike what they have now so they wont even consider smaller changes. A friend in their group is trans the same way theyve said they want to be but they never talk about the friend and rarely talk to them and as the first openly trans person in their friend group id just think theyd have some more to say if they really have thought as hard as they say about body swapping. Theyve even told me my body is almost the blueprint of what they wish their body could be but then when i did their makeup like mine and found them a cute dress of mine to borrow they said they felt uncomfy. Not everyones into makeup and dresses i get that, i suppose its about the body shape and not the femininity but there wasnt even an ounce of gender affirming feeling then? Baffling.
But now we havent talked as friends in years and if even my introduction to myself (nonbinary genderfluid neopronoun user) and my very queer brother and his very queer boyfriend and the accepting and supportive trans spaces im part of online cant get this kid to introspect harder then i dont think anything will. Fuck it they still call me she exclusively and deadname me constantly.
I just. I dont know what to do with this information. I was glad at the time that youd told me but if you didnt want anything to change when i offered to help you try out different names and/or pronouns until you felt comfortable then why did you tell me. Why did you tell me and no one else. I dont know if theyve told anyone since but i doubt it tbh. And now this thought is rattling around my brain tonight like a volleyball tournament held in a sardine can. I hope you find the right friends to help with the right path for you soon. I hope youd be a better girlfriend than i was. I hope youre a better boyfriend than you were (but i also doubt this..)

this is less a tutorial and more a semi in-depth explanation on my process while taking screenies. my do’s and don’ts about lightning, angles, text/dialogue, close-ups and other!
as a disclaimer, anyone is free to take their screenies however they want and this is just my personal preference and opinions ♡ everything is under the cut! i did say its LONG so dont say i didnt warn u 😳
i use the nobluv2 and noglo mods by luumia! i recommend them 100000%
1. lightning
with its exceptions, this being i’m in a room with candles/chandelier/anything that doesnt naturally produce a white light OR ambiance reasons, my setting with screenies is with the ‘Neutral White’ color. this is for me, more visually appealing than just bathing your sim in yellow light.

i usually test my lightning before i actually take any screenies so my sim is well-lit but also preventing overexposure bc of the lighting. an example of overexposure is when for example the lighting is SO strong, your sim looks like its ‘shining’
you can see it here on her chest highlights, her arm and her cheeks. i exaggerated it here so its more obvious. fixing overexposure is HARDER than upping the brightness in a poor-lit screenshot. overexposure and makin sims look like they are SHINING is a crime. JAIL
the best light ever tbh. just dont get... to carried away
1.2 outdoor lightning
this is one a bit trickier depending on your location but USUALLY your screenies would look well dark. again, test lightning before actually shooting screenies! i generally look for a lamp posts that have good lightning and shrink them down so if im taking angled shots, it doesnt get in the way. change the color to neutral white and if its too much lightning, just lower the dimmer:

in general, you can ZOOM to the max, and with the scroll-wheel zoom out THREE TIMES. four times we on the edge but its still acceptable. five times and you are goin to JAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in general i also recommend having a semi-big room so you can move around without any problems. small rooms DO work but chances are while moving around you’re either going to go outside the room, run into a plant in the shot or into another decor item.
for example, this is a ‘small’ room. while taking photos i have run into the bookshelves for over the shoulder shots like 8000 times. still, doable, but why put myself thru the suffering>?????
2.2 fill the room
nothin sadder than, for example, doing a bedroom scene and there just being...a bed. the game comes with so much clutter and theres also a lot of clutter cc to make rooms seem more ‘lived in’. its also a lot more visually appealing than the room being empty.
3. angles for screenies
my controversial OPINION!!!! i dont care for FULL surroundings shots for more than for a singular panel. THERE I SAID IT!!! usually i show the surroundings/scene setting in ONE panel and then i move on to other angles. again, has exceptions. these being a banquet, party, ball, another sim joins the scene, montages, etc! ANYWHERE that has something happening with multiple people in general.
for example, i don’t see why repeat the same angle with different poses. i can do it for one panel, but for the next ones? there’s the option of over the shoulder shots, detail shots, them looking at each other shots, cinammon tography shots........... more than likely your reader already has an idea of where your characters are so showing it in every single panel is not necessary.
always try and leave a lil breathin room for the heads on top so it isnt all CRAMPED! but this all depends on the pose, if theres a height difference included in said poses and the angle you are taking the screenshot from!
same thing about not just doing...full on surrounding shots for when something is HAPPENING. say, someone is fainting, collapsing...ANYTHIN!! theres so many shot options than just repeating the same angle over and over again. DONT BE SHY!!!! DO VARIETY !!!
we in photography class now. BUT yes keep these in mind ALSO while taking photos so it isnt just the same angle, same distance just different pose. your sim has a nice outfit? showing it once is enough! every panel? ummmm......... your sim is crying? do a medium close up/medium shot and not a full body shot!
3.1 close ups
your close ups and ALL screenies in general, don’t have to be FRONTAL only. they can be right/left side, a lil angled...
waist/chest level is a good level for a close-up sim wise since if you ZOOM in too much WELL
4. text/dialogue
i’d recommend any SANS-SERIF fonts. serif fonts are so hard to read even if nice looking. usually a font-size of over 40px+ works and you can add outside stroke and even drop shadow!
i personally use calibri (bold italic) for my screenies, but other subtitle fonts like arial, myriad pro, helvetica...really any sans-serif ones work.

i also wouldn’t recommend putting 4000 word paragraphs in ONE screenie because it’s just visually exhausting. the MAXIMUM i’d do and thats if ABSOLUTELY necessary is FOUR!!!! lines of text. id keep it to three ONLY and thats if your text is the same size as mine. if bigger then two 😳

another no-no for readability is INSIDE stroke or adding bevel/emboss to the text. pick bright, contrasting colors to the background or even clothes your characters are wearing so it’s not hard to read.
something a lil extra i also recommend is if your dialogue has different sentences and one ends and another one starts in the same line, continue it on another line. DOES THIS MAKE SENSE ok lets see:
the “Yes, maybe I went on [...]” continues on the first line, but to make it a bit easier to read just press enter and move it to the second line so it’s on it’s own line.
same thing for the "Be nice or [...]” line! it gets cut off to the third line anyways, so just put it in a singular line. final result:
for me, this is easier to read, less I GUESS ‘immersion breaking’ and easier on the eyes too.
and just other quick things to keep in mind:
will the post be horizontal or vertical? if its vertical, you have to angle and move the camera around keeping in mind you’re going to crop it later. yes, the scenary might be nice if its horizontal, but a lil vertical photo is cute!
best times for OUTDOOR lightning photos are 2pm-4pm. morning light is a bit too dark, 12 pm is the slightest too bright, but 2pm-4pm is just ENOUGH!!!

but oikawa did and it was still truly an accident
iwa heard about him staying late again and you having to drag him out of there and he was hitting him and kicking him again
you were so used to this that you were just writing down your notes at the corner, oblivious to oikawa’s crying
finally, he had enough of it

you shot them a smile and oiks had such a smug smile when iwa looked at him and he was about to hit him when kyo just came out of nowhere and YEETED the smile off of his face
