oh god its so weird that next year in april my gf and i will have been together for 5 years and ik that doesnt seem like a lot but like think about it. a decade is 10 years right. my and my gf being together for 5 years is equal to Half A Fucking Decade and when you think about it like HTAT its like owhoaoshhow????!?!???? huh?!??!!??!!?!??? hwhhat??!!??!!!?????!?!?!?!

#i talk #anyway i’ve been the Central Glue of my friend group for a while and i love being so close w/ everypony like it’s super fun #i’m so glad to have not just 1 but like 5 besties it’s amazing #but pretty recently it looks like some of em have begun making efforts to get closer to one another as well and i’m so excited about it #i love it so much it makes me so happy to see them supporting each other and talking w/o me there #i say this because realizing i was so happy to see one guy give another a cute bro nickname make me genuinely happy #like. noticing that i wasn’t jealous or feeling FOMO or anything #i just felt really excited to see them chatting #and realizing that my own excitement was growth from how i’d feel about that kind of thing in middle school #made me so so even more excited #i’m so glad to have such a healthy support system and so many great relationships. man #love my bf love my besties love the whole gang and i’m so excited that they all love each other too #so happy to not be 13 anymore thank FUCK #i’ve maintained friendships with these people for 4 bdays now!!!!#we have a lot of late winter early spring bdays so we lump em in together as one celebration for scheduling convenience #(hard to hang out 6 times in 2 months span for adults)#and we’ve been doing our joint bdays since we were 17 #our first party was at 18 so we’ve only had 3 Parties but it’s been 4 bdays since i became buds with this group #i’m so thankful for my support system man i love those guys #the fact that i’ve maintained an almost 5 year relationship (HOLY SHIT) and a consistent friend group for so long!!! aaa!!!#it makes me so excited i’m so exciteddddd about it #god i love my friends!!!!!

V.1: Silent Pines, 1998 Special Credit: Silent Pines is heavily inspired by and uses a very similar style to the stunning @windbrook savefile by @folkling, the gorgeous portsim savefile by @florwal, and the amazing builds by @moonwoodmillz. Thank you all for your hard work, I take a lot of inspiration from you all. Silent Pines is a base-game only save file inspired by Life is Strange with 3 major worlds, a whole new set of townies, and a complete mystery to solve.

I used S4Studio to rename all the worlds, and I've decorated all the neighbourhoods with T.O.O.L. As I said before, Silent Pines is completely base-game friendly, absolutely no packs or kits are used. There is some custom CC, mainly posters that add to the story. The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required.

For example the missing poster of Cleo Emerson, a girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances;

i have such strong memories related to black sails like. it was my mom's birthday. during a weekend. think 2018/2019. we went away for the weekend to this. place. idk what its called in english but yk rent a tiny house for like a few days. whatever. i can remember what it looked like. i sat on that couch watching black sails. my sister and i had to share a room and i managed to break the bed (not permanently) i had to sleep on & because even after fixing it i didnt trust it, i slept on the floor. it was on that floor that i watched s2 of black sails. it was on that floor that i saw that fucking scene that fundamentally changed me as a person. because. listen. black sails was one of the first shows id watched with a queer story. with not one but two major plot threads revolving around queer people's relationships. i remember sitting in the car in the dark as the rest of my family was ordering fries for us and i remember my mom going "hey look gay couple!" in a restaurant. it doesnt feel real. that entire weekend is a fever dream. i thought i was just watching a pirate show. the pirates were gay. the pirates were fucking gay bro. i cried over that show. i wept at the end of it. i had to play boardgames for my mom's birthday and pretend like i wasnt going insane because the pirates were gay and i was just. ough. i was 14 or 15 and i was barely out and i was new to being queer in any capacity and it was such an experience.

#i really think my extreme reactions as like. a 14ish year old to stuff like 'is hannibal in love with me' & the wedding crashing #in shadowhunters and the kiss in black sails.#i really think that shouldve clued me in on the fact that i was trans & gay. earlier.#which doesnt make sense since im also aromantic but eh. yk. seeing people like yourself on a screen for the first time #even before you know? wild. insane #current 13 year olds doing discourse on tik tok have never experienced the utter surprise that was black sails.#they have never experienced growing up to 12 unaware lesbians even EXISTED because queer people barely existed in media #i really feel like ive grown up alongside queer media.#just. i remember tlok. & shera. & adventure time. all kids shows!#& then ofmd? last year? i spent the entire time convinced id get queerbaited #i started watching it when episode 4 had just aired and i. i thought it was queerbait.#it wasnt until they actually kissed that i sat there like. huh. spn really did fuck with my head #DO YOU KNOW. HOW FUCKIGN INSANE IT WAS. TO SEE A NONBINARY PERSON #criticize monster/robot nonbinary characters all you like but when i first saw double trouble i was just.#getting to witness o14's development since season of dawn in real time was also amazing #idk.#i think writing valerian has made me really really emotional about gay middleaged men again #also its late. and i miss black sails. i should rewatch black sails

Finally I'm releasing Westbrook Cove for download! Thanks so much to everyone who's asked for it and waited for it, I appreciate you all so much! ♥ Unedited preview under the cut! Please make a backup of your game before installing.

Creating a custom 'hood and releasing it for download is not hard and not a big deal at all, but since I was doing it for the very first time, of course it wasn't all smooth sailing- hence the wait. I had to recreate it 3 times lmao, due to not knowing all the facts (silly me) but it was all in good fun honestly and I'm super happy it's finally shareable! 🐸

Sooo, this 'hood is completely clean, no characters and no stealth 'hoods or anything. It was created using the Baskerville terrain which, of course, is included. You can play it using your own defaults, but here are the ones I use that you can see in the preview pics:

The folder with the 'hood (N025) goes to your 'Neighborhoods' folder in the Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection (or just The Sims 2)/Neighborhoods 🐛 I debated whether I should include a folder with all the custom neighborhood deco you need, but I figured that probably most of you already have all the CC needed since the buildings and houses I used have been in the community for years! So instead I have made a CC list (under the cut) so you can easily download and/or check if you already have the needed deco. 🦓

There is also a folder with 10 residential lots created just for this 'hood to match its vibe and the aesthetic. They have all been cleaned, compressed and the little CC they have is included and the preview pics are under the cut. 🦔 But, just in case, download these build mode sets (in case you don't already have them):
