Steve Harrington hadn’t talked to his dad in a year.
The last thing the two of them had talked had been after the earthquakes, across the room in the den; his dad barely stepped through the front entryway, and Steve’s back pressed against the back door. The house was messy but still standing, unlike Steve, who was broken and barely keeping himself upright. The only thing Richard Harrington had said to Steve was,
“I think it’s time to move on.” Which was his way of telling Steve they were selling the house and he should figure out his own arrangements. Steve hadn’t cared, though. Didn’t even look at him as he spoke. Instead, he stared at the cracks in the ceiling and wondered if it was some kind of metaphor.
He tried not to think too deeply about it.
It had been a year since then. There had been time to move on, as his dad said. There was no more Upside Down. There was no more worrying about the next move. Max and Eddie were healed. Everyone was back in Hawkins. Robin and Steve lived in a little house on Fifth while Robin took community courses. Eddie practically lived there, too, with the strange friendship bond that had grown between the three of them.
Eddie had argued once it was because their couch was comfier than his bed, but Steve liked to think it was because Eddie wanted to be close to them. To be close to him. Sometimes Steve thought about letting him stay in his bed together.
Time had not moved to that yet.
Everything seemed good. Despite Steve’s resentment towards Richard, and his reluctance to admit the man was right, sometimes it was good to let things go, break apart and move on. Though Steve was sure, this wasn’t exactly what Harrington Sr. meant.
Steve hadn’t talked to his father in over a year. And he didn’t really miss him. Sure, there were moments that passed when Steve would yearn for the small happy moments between them. Secret smiles at baseball games, lunch at his office, and him cheering Steve on at the one swim championship he managed to show up to.
But it always got mixed in with bigger, badder moments. Being left alone for months on end. The belittling. The missed graduation. The yelling. The slurs when he grew his hair out too long. The cold way he said to Steve,
“I think it’s time to move on.”
Like he had been breaking up with a high school sweetheart before leaving for college.
So Steve didn’t miss the man, not really. But in moments like these, in the back of the Byers-Hopper’s backyard at the Father’s Day BBQ, where all party members and parents alike gathered, Steve couldn’t help but ache.
Steve ached for something better than Richard Harrington.
It wasn’t because of parents who stuck around that made Steve’s stomach churn in jealousy, but the ones who decided to show up. It was the way Wayne threw his arm around Eddie’s shoulder and the cheers their beers to something probably ridiculous. The way Steve knew that man would crawl to the ends of the earth for someone who wasn’t technically his, but was nothing short of a son.
It was the way El and Hop manned the grill together. Him laughing at something El said, probably something ridiculous, and her smile back that could light up the sun. The way Steve knew that El wasn’t a replacement for the things Hop had lost, but instead an addition to his life he would choose over and over again.
Steve ached to be loved and care for because someone wanted to. Not because of obligation or by accident. Steve wanted to loved deliberately.
Steve sipped his beer instead of bringing down the celebration with his thoughts. Eddie caught Steve’s eye across the yard and gave him a megawatt smile. Steve couldn’t help but smile shyly back.
“Hey, Steve.” A shy voice said beside him, startling him out of his thoughts. Steve turned to find Dustin standing beside him, nearly up to his nose now with his recent growth spurt. Steve couldn’t help but miss when he was small and could throw him over his shoulder.
Steve was a little surprised to find him there. Dustin wasn’t one to speak small or shy. He liked to make his presence known (much like the lovable metal head he was staring down earlier).
“Hey bud, what’s up?”
Dustin looked around the two of them before answering. Everyone else was with their dads, or talking to one of the party members. Even Robin managed to wrangle her dad and Mr. Sinclair into a conversation about WWII. Dustin looked a little relieved everyone was doing their own thing.
“Okay so you know how like, everyone is celebrating their dad today? And mine isn’t here?”
Steve felt his stomach drop. Somehow in the midst of his self-pitying, he had forgotten that Dustin’s dad wasn’t around either. Didn’t even stick around long enough for his first words. “Yea, dude, I’m sorry this must suck for you.”
Dustin looked nervous. He shifted on his feet back and forth, as if he was trying to find a rhythm to calm himself down. “Yea, so that’s what I actually came over to talk to you about.”
“Yea, Dustin. Im here if you need to talk.”
Dustin seemed to finally be at ease and rolled his eyes at Steve. “No, asshole, I don’t need to talk. I haven’t thought about the dick in years, if I’m honest. I just, it’s something else. And you don’t get to be weird about it.”
“I’m confused.”
“That sounds about right.”
“Hey!” Steve laughed despite his protest. A year ago, stuff like that hurt Steve’s feelings. But now Steve knew it was all in good fun, that Dustin was kind of dick to everyone. And he knew that the joke wasn’t about his intelligence. It hadn’t been a long time, since Steve threatened to push him out of a moving vehicle last time. Steve was pretty sure it had to do with a particular conversation involving his feelings for more than women.
Only Dustin and Robin knew. She was overly supportive, and Dustin instantly made a joke. Both made Steve supported and safe.
The dumbasses.
“Not my fault this happens to you often.”
“Is there a point being made or are you here to just be a dick?” Steve questioned, laughing behind the lip of his beer.
Dustin fidgeted again before pulling something out his back pocket. “Just—promise not to laugh.”
Steve crossed his heart with a giggle before he took a folded white piece of paper out of Dustin’s hands.
Suddenly, Steve’s face got serious as he saw what was on the front.
A poorly drawn Steve with a nail baseball bat, with the title “Happy Father’s Day”.
Steve swallowed thickly before placing his beer on the ground and opening the card. There in Dustin’s chicken scratch, was a message.
Dear Steve,
Don’t be weird about this. Okay here it goes.
My dad wasn’t around a lot, big whoop. Big surprise. I honestly don’t care anymore. Don’t give me a look.
I honestly didn’t think I would really care about any of the dad stuff, didn’t feel like I was really missing out. My mom and her annoying love for cats has always been more than enough. But as time went by sometimes I thought maybe I would be better, I would be different if I had a dad. I see it with the rest of the party, how willingly or unwillingly they all reflect their dads. And how I don’t.
Sometimes I don’t feel like my whole self because if it. Thought maybe I would never really be a whole me because of it. That maybe the world was better off anyway because I know I am a lot.
But then I met you asshole.
I didn’t think I would like you, and more importantly I didn’t think you would like me. But suddenly we are battling worlds together, and you’re hanging out with me even outside the end of days, and I have a new best friend.
If I’m being honest I do see you more as a brother. Someone I look up to. But the more I think about it (again don’t be weird), I do see you as a dad some days. Although the hands on hips do scream mother hen, you’ve been a dad to me in the ways the asswipe who made someone as amazing as me hasn’t been.
You are brave, and funny and despite popular belief you are kind. One of the kindest people I know. You make me feel safe and loved, and give me rides despite me never giving you gas money. Some days I look in the mirror and see parts of you in me, and I feel proud.
Some days I look at you and hope that I can see the braveness and kindness in myself too. I don’t yet, but you make it feel possible.
I don’t need a sperm donor (thank you Robin for that one), I have the world’s okayest dad right here.
Love you brother, friend, dad.
Happy Father’s Day, from your fellow nerd,
Dustin <3
Steve was crying. He knew that. He knew he promised not to make it weird, but Steve couldn’t help it. The little shit got him right in the heart.
He couldn’t be blamed for scooping up Dustin in a hug. “I love you too, Dusty Buns.”
Dustin squeezed Steve tight, “You don’t get to call me that.” He grumbled, but Steve could feel his tshirt getting wet.
“As your father it is my right to get to call you embarrassing nick names.” Steve squeezed Dustin even tighter.
Dustin just laughed and pushed him away jokingly. They both wiped their eyes, but the smiles on their faces remained.
Steve thought about Richard at that moment again, about how he ached for someone to care. And maybe Steve would never get it, but he could be that someone for someone else. He could give that care, Dustin.
The little shit.
“Thank you Dustin.”
Dustin shook his head, his crooked smile remained. “Nah man, thank you.”
They both just stared at each other in comfortable silence before they were interrupted by a barking force.
“What are you two saps talking about?” Eddie slung his arms around the both of them, mouth spread wide in a grin. But then he noticed the tear tracks, and suddenly his face dropped.
Eddie took Steve’s face in his hands, “What’s wrong? What happened?”
Steve shook his head fondly, “Nothing—“ He started, preparing to wave it off. But then Steve realized he couldn’t lie to Eddie. “—nothing bad. Happy tears. I promise.”
Eddie looked at Steve for a moment before nodding, giving his face a tight squeeze, and then dropping his hands. “Okay, Stevie, as long as their happy tears.”
“What am I? Chopped liver?” Dusting grumbled.
“Aweee Dusty, I could never forget you!!” Eddie threw himself at Dustin in a horrible attempt at a hug.
Dustin just pushed him off before rolling his eyes. Steve swore they were gonna get stuck one day.
“Whatever, man. Just make sure that you treat my dad right, or I’m going to have to make some tough calls.” Dustin stared down Eddie seriously before laughing evilly and walking away.
Steve wanted to freeze at Dustin’s implication, but Eddie looked adorably confused, so Steve didn’t feel too bad.
“What’s that supposed to mean? Is this new? Him just getting protective about this without explaining?” Eddie asked Steve.
“Don’t worry about it.” Steve looked down at the card again wistfully, before glancing back up at Eddie. Steve took one of Eddie’s hands and started to play with his rings. A blush bloomed across Eddie’s cheeks; Steve wanted to kiss him. Instead, he just said,
“Just think he’s trying to be a little like his dad.”
***
Dad’s are complicated, and family isn’t always blood. I hope you enjoyed my little Father’s Day contribution. I do headcannon Hopper as Steve’s father figure/replacement, and usually write it that way but this seemed like a fun opportunity to show how Steve is his own father figure for others.
He is a good egg.
Now with Father’s Day over, my birthday is in two weeks which is making me feel all sorts of things. So I’m distracting myself with steddie. Either way expect a lot of writing and updates soon.

Staying Alive, Staying Alive
I was feeling a little angsty today and now here we are. I hope you guys like this and please leave your thoughts in the comments!
Title brought to you by @lumoschild!
~*~*~*~
Steve’s stomach dropped when he heard Dustin’s screaming from the trailer park. He and the girls were only about halfway back in their trek when they started hearing his cries which caused Steve to sprint in his direction. Why was Dustin screaming and where was Eddie? They were supposed to be out of danger. They were the goddamn decoys and Steve told them not to be heroes!
The sight he stumbled on when he broke through the barrier of the trees would forever haunt him. Just past the rows of trailer homes, Dustin was knelt on bloodied knees, sobbing, with an unmoving Eddie situated half on his lap. The two of them were sitting in a pond of blood that was growing ever larger. Steve had never seen Munson so still, he was always flamboyant and larger than life in everything he did. His face, usually so expressive and full of life, had never been so pale either, only made worse with the sluggishly bleeding wounds still leaking from his neck and torso.
“Dustin!” Steve screamed for him as he ran closer and fell to his knees beside him in a careless slump. “What happened? When’d he stop breathing?”
“I-I don’t know, just before you got here, I guess. He-he saved me. He didn’t run away this time, Steve.” He grabbed onto Eddie’s shoulders even stronger in a desperate hug while tears ran down his cheeks.
“Okay, I know he didn’t. Munson’s a strong guy and he still has fight left. I need you to put him down so I can bring him back, okay?” Steve muttered soothingly. If Eddie had just lost his pulse a few minutes ago, there was still a chance that he could get his heart beating again.
“What? Steve-”
“Put him down, Dustin!” Steve would feel bad for yelling at him later but he had a very limited window for CPR to work and he didn’t have time for any more niceties.
Dustin flinched back as if struck and let go of Eddie abruptly. His face screwed up in a vicious sob when Steve started applying forceful compressions to his friend’s chest. “Steve, you’re hurting him!”
“He can’t feel pain if he’s dead, Dustin! If this works, he can complain about it later.” Steve struck Eddie’s chest over and over again to the beat of Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees like he was taught to as a swim instructor. He never could’ve imagined then that this is how he’d be using his skills.
Both Dustin and Steve winced when they heard Eddie’s ribs crack but Steve didn’t stop applying his full body weight into every push. Nancy and Robin showed up at some point between Steve giving compressions and breathing into Eddie’s mouth but he paid them no mind. In fact, he didn’t pay anything any mind until Eddie gasped for air on his own.
“Eddie!” Dustin yelled and tried to scramble away from Nancy’s arms that restrained him.
“Ouch,” Eddie whispered before his eyes slid shut once more.
“No, no, no. Munson, wake up. Keep your eyes open. We have to get out of here, c’mon. Robin, help me pick him up,” Steve ordered. She quickly stepped forward and helped situate Eddie bridal-style in his arms. With a few well-placed cloths to act as bandages, she patted Steve’s shoulder and he bolted towards the gate in the Munson trailer. The entire Upside Down started shaking and the ground started to fracture in a horrific version of  ‘the-floor-is-lava’ game.
But Steve could only focus on holding pressure against a particularly deep wound on Eddie’s side and the soft breaths fanning his neck. One step in front of the other, he sprinted as fast as he could without jostling the injured man in his arms too much. His efforts proved fruitless if the muffled moans of pain into his ear indicated anything.
When he got to the trailer, Robin was right behind him. She threw the door open and pushed the small kitchen table underneath the quaking gate and threw herself through first, ungraceful and uncoordinated as it was, in order to catch Eddie when Steve pushed him through the portal. Which she did. By falling with him and kneeing him in the spine. Seeing them mostly safe, Steve carefully guided Dustin onto the table and threw the gate with his injured leg and then offered a hand to Nancy and gave her a gentle push.
As the gate started to close, he hardly had enough time to jump through the portal into the Rightside Up himself. He could feel the sizzling heat on his sides and burning on the outer parts of his leg until his back met a soft surface on the ground. He made it.
They didn’t have time to celebrate though because Dustin was crying in pain about his leg, Robin was rubbing her side in discomfort, and Eddie was still groaning and bleeding out onto his own stained mattress. Steve’s sides were screaming but he didn’t have time to acknowledge his own wounds until he was sure his friends would survive.
“Alright Nancy, where’s your car? We have to get to the hospital.” Steve asked her, easily falling into the position of leader once more.
“Um, it's right outside.” With a peek out the trailer’s window, Steve could definitely see that it was not.
“No it isn’t. Where’d you park it?”
“I swear,” Nancy promised. “I parked it right in front of the door. We’ll just have to call for an ambulance.”
Steve shook his head and ran a stressed hand through his hair. Eddie didn’t have time for an ambulance. With the earthquakes and the preexisting stigma around the people that lived at Forest Hills, an ambulance would take up to thirty minutes and he didn’t have that. Fuck, what were they going to do?!
He sent another glance out the window to see a small sedan parked outside the neighboring trailer. Bullseye.
“Okay, new plan. Eddie and I are going to hotwire that car and drive to the hospital. You guys are going to call an ambulance and meet us there.” He nodded to himself and went to pick up a blurry-eyed Eddie.
“Steve, we should stick together. It’s not smart to go off on our own,” Nancy expressed condescendingly.
“Well, no one’s ever mistaken me for being smart so I guess that’s par for the course. We’ll see you at the hospital.” Then they were off. Steve was once again carrying Eddie as gently as he could but this time Eddie’s eyes were open and searching.
“Who knew that Steve Harrington would be so adamant on keeping me alive?” He muttered.
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Munson.”
“I’m bleeding all over you, surely we’re on a first name basis now. Right Steve?” His tone was pretty challenging for a guy that was dead less than five minutes ago.
“You can call me whatever you want, Eddie. Just keep your eyes open.”
“Okay, I’ll try my best. What’re you planning on doing? Lisa always leaves her car locked,” he said as soon as he saw the direction Steve was walking in.
Steve didn’t dignify his question with a response. He just grabbed the ax from its position secured on his back and swung the dull edge towards the driver’s side window, shattering it instantly.
“Holy shit,” Eddie murmured in amazement. Unknowingly to Steve, that was the exact moment that Eddie fell in love with him. He had risked his life to save him in the Upside Down and carried him bridal-style out of hell. Now he was committing crimes to keep him alive and looking hot while doing it. Eddie’s heart didn’t stand a chance.
Steve gently leaned Eddie against the car while he worked to get the driver’s side door open and then picked him up again to gently settle him in across the backseats. His movements caused Eddie to whimper in pain but they were so close, they couldn’t stop now.
“Okay Munson, focus. How do I hotwire this car?” Steve looked back at him and saw the seats quickly staining red. “Shit Eddie! Put pressure right there, we have to slow the bleeding. C’mon, how do I do this?
Eddie tried to press his bandana into his worst wound as he gave Steve directions. “Pull off the steering column and grab the wires. Did you get my pliers? You’ll need those to strip the coating.”
“Yep. Okay, I got the cover off and I see the wires. What next?”
“There-there should be… two wires. One red and one black. You have to s-strip them and tap them together until the ignition starts…”
His voice started to taper off towards the end of his explanation and he could hardly keep his eyes open anymore. Steve pulled the wires from the steering column and stripped them just as Eddie had in the RV. When he looked into the backseat, he did a double take. Eddie’s skin was even paler and clammier than it had been before. Most worryingly though, his eyes were glazed and his breathing was labored. Steve reached an arm back to shake at his shoulder.
“Don’t fucking die, Eddie! I didn’t carry you out of the goddamn Upside Down just for you to die in some stranger’s backseat.” He hissed in angered panic.
“Ooo kinky.” Eddie mumbled through chapped lips.
“Not kinky, dying is not kinky! Wake up, Eddie!”
Just then, the engine turned over and the ignition started. “Yes, yes! Eddie, hold on. I got the car to start. C’mon man, five minutes to the hospital. You’ve got this.”
“Okay…” Eddie whispered. Steve could hardly breathe as he sped down the roads and broke every traffic law. He didn’t care about the consequences of his actions as long as Eddie lived. He didn’t care about speeding tickets or jail time, he just needed his new friend to survive.
“Eddie, you doing okay?”
“I wouldn’t… characterize this as- as being… okay,” he answered between labored breaths.
“You’re doing great, man,” Steve told him. He looked back at him in the rearview and saw Eddie’s eyes looking back at him.
“Thanks for doing this, Stevie. You didn’t have to. You-you could’ve left me there-”
“Shut up, man. I wasn’t going to leave you after you risked your life to help us. You’re one of us now whether you like it or not.” Steve told him. He wasn’t going to stand for any self-deprecating comments after he’d almost died (did die for a few minutes) to save Dustin.
Eddie hummed before the car lapsed into silence for the next minute or so, only broken by the sounds of Eddie wheezing for air and Steve’s fingers shaking against the steering wheel. When they arrived at the hospital, Steve pulled right in front of the emergency room and screamed for help. Nurses, doctors, and assistants came rushing out to help him and they placed Eddie on the gurney.
His lips were red with blood and his face was ashen without it. But when Steve looked at him, he smiled wide. “I’ll see you later, Big Boy.”
Steve couldn’t even threaten the hospital staff to treat him well or tell them to ignore the rumors on TV (although he would find out later that Nancy and Robin did that well enough on their own). As soon as Eddie was wheeled out of sight, Steve collapsed from his own injuries.
Just a few days later, Steve woke up from sedation to find himself in a hospital bed with Eddie as a roommate. And if his heartbeat sped up on the monitor when Eddie smiled at him, well, that wasn’t anyone’s business but theirs.

I just really really wish Eddie had been in Season 3 (its not just because its my favorite season)
*We all need Eddie unable to handle the Scoops Ahoy fit, that ones been said and done a million ways*
But Eddie would’ve knocked sense into Mike and Lucas about DnD, he would’ve fully been supporting Will and backing him up. (I know he was also a super senior and they were just leaving 8th grade, buh buh buh lets ignore canon for a second okay?) He could’ve been a mentor to Will, helped him pitch DnD back to Mike and Lucas to make it seem cooler. Plus the obvious.
And how would he infiltrate the group in the first place? He would also have had a job at Starcourt, there was Camelot Music back in the 80s, Spencer’s was around. People have done fics where he was a theater usher who catches the kids which I LOVE.
So he sees Steve working at Scoops, he’s fucking intrigued because duh, obviously. He remembers him from high school, remembers him being popular and kind of a douche, but barely heard anything about him senior year. Figured he was at some fancy college in another state with daddy’s money, but here he is in a ridiculous outfit. But he starts crushing hard because of the stupid little outfit.
He goes to get ice cream during his lunch even though he feels sick all the time because he does it every other freakin’ day. Finally one of those days he sees the scene we all know and love, Steve and Dustin doing the lightsaber handshake. He ends up overhearing Dustin saying something about DnD one day in passing and stops him to talk about it.
Or even better, he works at one of those sword shops with the dragon stuff and maybe Dustin goes in there to get some shit for Will to cheer him up and they get to talking to him about DnD.
oh and OBVIOUSLY him and Robin have an “are you…?” “Are YOU?” “Yes bitch I’m fuckin gay”. They end up becoming friends and Robin definitely calls him out for crushing on Steve because she thinks Steve is annoying as hell until their little Russian incident.
Either way idc, there’s some of my thoughts on the fact we were robbed of Season 3 Eddie.

Do you guys ever wonder what would have happened if like. Will had stayed with Dustin in 'Suzy do you Copy?' and he'd heard the secret Russian communications too?
It would very much disrupt the Mindflayer Billy storyline because Will kinda needs to be there for that, but I really like the idea of Will's dynamic in the Scoops Troop tbh. And we'd get to see Will and Dustin besties!!!! The show has REALLY neglected their friendship actually I would have loved seeing that
Idk I just think it would be really fun

I just know for a fact Dustin made a huge deal out of Steve graduating. He brought the gang and everything to be absolute menaces to Steve on his big day. I've heard peeps say that Steve probably had a lonely graduation, his parents probably didn't show, and any friends he used to have were all dicks who he wasn't friends with anymore, and I doubt Nancy or Jonathan showed up either.
But I'd like to think Dustin saw this and decided "no, my mother shall have a good graduation if it's the last thing I do!" and got the gang together with signs and everything to celebrate Steve. Will brought Joyce, Dustin brought his mom, and Lucas brought his parents to celebrate Steve. The kids decorated posters with spiky bats in honor of Steve's beloved baseball bat. Steve was super honored and emotional at all everyone did to celebrate him. He was dreading his graduation, but finding out what Dustin was planning meant so much to him. He may or may not have cried a little.
I just know, that with Dustin around, there's no way he didn't do something special for Steve's graduation, and though Steve doesn't say anything, it meant the absolute world to him.

You guys know my deeply rotted hate for Harringroveson, BUT this won't leave my mind and I need to share before I. Lose. It.
Soulmates AU where you feel each other's pain/share the same wounds (the idea is "you get hurt and your soulmate takes care of your wounds, then they heal on your body too" or something along the lines). Steve got used to the pain coming from his soulmate, burning under his skin. It was daily, but got better when he got into middle school. Billy got comfort in knowing that his soulmate was going through the same pain as him, twisted as it was (but it stooped when he got in middle school, instead his soulmate trying to heal Billy's own pain and he didn't knew what to do with that besides hurting more and more and more). And Eddie has been suffering for most of his childhood, until he moved with his uncle and swore to himself to help his soulmate heal and never get hurt again/add more to the pain that was already there.
Now imagine the fighting scene between Steve and Billy only... Billy feels pain in the same place he punched Steve. With every punch and kick he feels the same pain as Steve must feel at the moment.
Is not that what stops him from hitting Steve, though. Is the fact that someone was taking care of their wounds while they were fighting.
#what's better than finding your soulmate while he kicks the shit out of you? finding you have TWO soulmates in the same moment#eddie has always healed their wounds (billy's from abuse and fights ; steve's from his fights) and took care of them unknowingly he felt#the pain of TWO people#poor guy loosing his shit cuz he couldn't feel his face during that fist fight between steve and billy#billy doesn't get flayed. he instead feels the pain from the russians hitting steve and gets to the mall ASAP and finds Dustin and Erica#and helps them free Robin and Steve. Meanwhile Eddie is not ok and does his best to heal the wounds. At this point this guy could easily#become a nurse. He knows his way around med kits#Steve and Billy finding something is wrong with their soulmate when one of them cuts themselves and there's no healing from them#next day Chrissy is announced dead and they. are. not. ok.#bi. both of them. Billy and Steve are bi btw. Eddie is gay cuz that's how I headcanon him#the theory sinks when Steve gets hurt in the Upside Down and there's no healing from their soulmate.#OK BUT IMAGINE BILLY IS WITH THEM WHEN THEY FIGHT VECNA AND SUDDENLY HE STARTS FEELING PAIN AROUND HIS NECK#AND LOOKS AT STEVE BUT HE'S FINE. THEN THE PAIN GETS WORSE AND STEVE LOOKS AT HIM BUT THEY ARE OK#And the pain starts to be all over the place and it doesn't click. They are happy their soulmate is ok and they help the girls kill Vecna#and once they do... the pain gets even worse. Only then they start to get worried because is not normal pain- is the same burning pain#that Steve felt from the bats#I love myself. So much angst. You could do so so much more angst with it#harringroveson#stranger things#stranger things eddie#eddie munson#stranger things steve#steve harrington#stranger things billy#billy hargrove#the fact that my other post in my drafts is me explicitly stating that I hate this OT3 with a passion is so fucking funny to me rn

hmmm i’ve got an emotional confrontation ficlet (as if i ever write anything else) brewing in my brain about steve and dustin and boundaries and how it’s offensive and a little hurtful that dustin refuses to drop the robin thing, like it doesn’t matter what steve says or wants, dustin always knows best, and he doesn’t think steve’s capable of love and affection without sex
