"When Alamat officially debuted in February 2021, the group also released its self-written debut anthem kbye, which left many people flabbergasted. The new track is in a mix of seven local languages—Tagalog, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Bicolano, Waray-Waray, Hiligaynon, and Bisaya. According to Ninuno Media, Alamat’s official music label, the incorporation of different languages into the song is a reflection of the group’s commitment to multilingualism. Moreover, the seven local languages reflect the member’s native language and ethnicity.
"For instance, Taneo is from Kalinga, where Ilocano is mostly spoken. Mo, despite having Black-American blood, hails from Zambales where Tagalog and Ilocano are among the dominant languages people use. Jao can speak Kapampangan as a native resident of Pampanga; Tomas represents the Bicolano; Alas is a Bisaya from Mindanao; and R-ji embodies a Waray person of Eastern Samar.
"The song captures the universality of heartbreak and of being ghosted while fusing traditional music with a hip-hop sound. True to its mission of championing the local culture, Alamat also incorporates the traditional sound of kulintang and the rhythm pattern of tinikling, a prominent folk dance in the country. The official music video of the song also showcases some of the defining features of Filipino culture: native prints in their streetwear, the appearance of baybayin, and a traditional jeepney.
"Three months after the release of ‘kbye,’ the single already reached 1M plays, enough for the group to secure a spot in the growing P-pop industry."

"FUTURE FORWARD PROJECT"
This is a Video Documentation of ongoing collaborative Educational project with Spoke context from 2021-2022.
"FUTURE FORWARD" is a one of some my most proud project I got to involved thanks to Elif Ucan from Spoke context.
We have been creating public murals, mural, and digital art workshop since 2015.
and "FUTURE FORWARD" is a project we have been working on since 2021.
here is a quote about the project from SPOKE CONTEXT SITE:
"Future Forward: Mit Public Art in die Zukunft is an educational public art initiative with the aim of providing students at middle schools across the state of Bavaria, Germany with an opportunity to gain and practice critical competencies needed to thrive in our world. Future Forward serves as a potent, creativity-based learning environment capable of imparting transformative competencies, meaning the skills and habits of mind, needed to navigate and shape our uncertain and rapidly shifting social, environmental, political and economic ecosystem.
Future Forward affords interactive collaborations between youth and japanese artist, Hiroyasu Tsuri, to create public facing art experiences that enable participants to tangibly enage with global community through digital and analog art making. Our learning interventions are designed to equip young learners with skills and experiences addressing global challenges, while offering an assets-focused premise to exercise autonomous action and real time problem solving.
Future Forward’s multi-faceted, interdisciplinary learning framework enhances young learners’ processes and tools for life beyond school, while supporting a better understanding of themselves, their peers and community. Due to its large-scale and public-facing nature, Future Forward initiatives are inherently civic and offer an outlet for civic voice. To strengthen civic inquiry and engagement throughout interventions, Future Forward employs the Art as Civic Commons learning framework developed by researchers at Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Project Zero to further investigate civic themes and avenues of action.
Future Forward is sponsored by the Cultural Fund for Education, the Ministry of Culture and Education of Bavaria and the Region of Upper Bavaria. In partnership with the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and Professor Rainer Wenrich, Chair of Arts Education and Art Didactics, Future Forward is accompanied by a scientific research study to investigate learning outcomes and efficacy of interventions.

so ya boi has been super depressed, like clinically, for way longer than usual and it led to me heading down to the local psych urgent care for an evaluation today
During the eval, which was over zoom, the person assessing me asked me if I keep any "gods or ancestral gods" in the house.
I'm thinking "weird question for a psych eval, but okay sure", and I get about two sentences into describing my weird pagan ways before she leans into her screen and says "GUNS. Do you keep any G U N S or have ACCESS TO GUNS in the house."
so that's probably the funniest thing that's happened to me recently

"In July 2021, the group officially made their first comeback with their second track kasmala. The title is an anagram of the word malakas, which means ‘strong.’ Like ‘kbye’, the second single also features different local languages.
"When the music video was released on YouTube, many people were quick to commend the group’s bravery in critiquing modern-day racism as the song tackles the harmful consequences of colonialism and bigotry in society. The video references the event that happened at the 1904 St. Louis World Fair, where Filipinos were treated as animals by the West.
"Within a year since their official debut, Alamat has already secured the distinction of being the second P-pop group to land on the Billboard Chart and the fastest-rising act to score a Billboard milestone."
