What if with an Intelligent s/o who literally outsmarts Fyodor,Dazai(separately) and they Re smiling while The two are shocked😭
Drink water!!and I hope you are healthy mwa mwa
- Literally Anon
i have the iq of a saltine- these two would rip me to shreds lol
An S/O who outsmarts them
Tumblr media
♡ pairing: Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Dazai Osamu x gn!Reader
♡ synopsis: How do Fyodor and Dazai react to a reader who outsmarts them? (I guess you guys are playing chess or something idk T-T)
♡ cw: None!
note: This is one of my oldest reqs and I just...never got around to it because I'll be honest I initially had NO idea how to proceed. But I would rather die than disappoint someone who made such a kind request and so I went on and WROTE IT ANYWAY. In your face, my stupid brain. I'm so sorry this took forever anon, I love you too ~mwah~, apologies for errors and I hope you enjoy x
Tumblr media
Fyodor:
So...he is speechless for a moment (and maybe for the first time in his entire life), and you definitely notice this
He relaxes after a second and smiles back at you, congratulating you for your skill and intelligence (I really did base this around you guys playing chess I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted T-T)
Fyodor makes some statement on how he's rubbed off on you and while it's admirable to see you evolving, you have a long way to go before you reach his level.
When you eagerly accept such a challenge he's amused but he does find it pretty cute how determined you are to beat him. He doesn't really think you can do it again (at least not very soon) but will encourage you anyway
He's very flattered that you're so proud of yourself for outsmarting him because it reinforces that you look up to him and thus he maintains his dominance (he's got a superiority complex I think)
He doesn't know whether or not he should bring it up to Mykola because on one hand, he could basically flex his S/O and how smart you are, but on the other hand it would also kinda be admitting defeat and he doesn't wanna do that lmao
Lowkey though, his ego is a tiny bit hurt by this whole thing ngl. He likes being superior in specific ways like niche anime intellect lol
But nonetheless he takes it in good stride and looks forward to seeing your intelligence progress in the future.
Dazai:
Dazai just isn't used to being surprised. He's been genuinely surprised like maybe four times tops in the entire canon of BSD. Alas here he sits before you, defeated (dramatic much)
And even worse is that you're so happy about it. You're smiling, not necessarily in a smug way, but just...proud of yourself. Even you seem to know how much of a moment this is.
After his minute of shock is over, his mind immediately switches to 'oh my god, they're the one. my soulmate'
He's like...legitimately emotional about this? In his life where his friends love him but don't understand him, and his foes understand him but don't love him, he's overjoyed to have found someone who does both
Dazai eventually breaks out into a smile too because honestly? He's proud of you as well. He knows you're intelligent but he didn't know you were his brand of intelligent
From here on out he sometimes has a bit of playful competitiveness when it comes to battles of wits between you two but he's not serious about it and might even sometimes do that thing where he purposefully lets you win stuff lol
He also thinks it's really cute how proud of yourself you are for this because it emphasises how highly you see him too (awhh)
All in all, he takes it well! And now you have bragging rights >:)

okay just because i couldn't beat fyodor at chess doesn't mean i couldn't absolutely destroy his ass in mario kart

scar
When it happens, Benji is fresh off his twentieth birthday. When it happens, Benji tries to crawl away. He’s shaking and terrified and loose at the seams, gone from it but so fucking present that there’s no feasible escape. Physical or otherwise.
His ears are ringing. He’s dragged back, hands fisting his ankles, fingers tight in his torn fatigues — no, no, captain’s gonna be pissed, they’ll need to req more, they hate little boring shit like that — and someone laughs at his cowardice, his sobs. Upright again, in the dark, in a room that smells of his compatriot’s blood, his friend’s blood. Sharp and coppery. Reeks like piss too, because that’s what happened when bodies were made. When people are killed.
His ears are ringing.
They might hurt us. They might hurt me. Benji’d been thinking. They might kill me, too, he’s thinking now. They might do worse.
And then — then that fucking knife against his cheek. Cold and cruel, just as icy as the laughter. Just as inhuman.
Mum’s gonna hate that. Scar’ll be bad, huh? She’ll hate that. She’ll cry.
That settles in him, the realization. Spreads frigid from the digging kiss of the blade into his skull, washes his tear-streaked face clean of warm panic. Benji stills in his struggles, tied hands behind his back going slack.
It’s not peace or acceptance. It’s anger. The sort of anger that feels like being crushed between two sweaty fists, molded in the creases, unable to catch breath. Unable to do anything but be shaped. Made worse.
His ears are ringing.
Benji makes it worse, himself.
*
The medic that treats him isn’t a stranger. He is a man that Benji recognizes, that he knows, and that, given a few more conversations, he might call a friend. He’s from Glasgow. Has two sisters. He can’t remember their names. Can’t remember the medic’s name.
Can barely remember his.
He’s given Benji an ice pack for a bruised rib, pressed a butterfly closure bandage over a cut above his eyebrow, and engaged in small talk about the great Manchester versus Liverpool debate.
Keeping him calm. Being soft. Because Benji’s been tortured, because he’s fragile, because he needs a soft soothe and a familiar face.
While he talks, a flap of skin hangs from the spot on his cheek where the knife had dug in. Where Benji had dug in the knife, rather. Stared right up at his captor, eyes dull dull dull, and leaned in. Split the flesh himself.
He can see it now, that fissure. Can see right down to the sinew of muscle. Never again will that spot rise correctly when he smiles.
The cut is on the wrong side of his face. It’s mirrored in the sleek, clean glass of a cabinet across the room. Benji is staring at himself in it. Blood drips down his face, collects in the corner of his mouth. Tastes sharp. Tastes coppery.
Benji reaches up to touch the wound. Check if it’s real, maybe. It is. He presses his fingertips to it —  magic it away. But it’s there. It’s permanent, just as the change he feels bubbling in his chest is permanent.
The medic makes a disapproving, reprimanding noise. He steps in front of Benji. Cuts off that reflection. And he, this man who Benji knows but doesn’t, closes his fingers around Benji’s wrist.
Maybe to pull his hand away, maybe to comfort. Maybe he’s seen the hint of something wrong in Benji’s distant, dark glazed eyes and thinks he needs to stop him from tearing the rest of himself apart.
Whatever the reason, the second those fingers close around his wrist, Benji’s vision whites. He pulls away from the moment like he hadn’t been able to pull away from the last.
He’s seething cold, brutal refrains of “I don’t like being touched that way” when the other medics pull him off. His knuckles are bloody, feel sore, will bruise. One, his left ring finger, will forever bother him in the cold. Go stiff, need flexed before it’s useful. He’d broken it on the man’s orbital bone.
Not the worst injury in the room. The jagged tear down his face isn’t, either.
He gets a glimpse of the man on the ground as they pull him away somewhere else for treatment. What’s left of him, anyway. He's haloed by a red smear against the tile. It is the third life Benji has ever taken. It won’t be the last.
Huh. He thinks as a different, more nervous medic gently pats the skin back into place and goes about stitching. I killed him. His name was James. We’ve fucked before. I've just killed him. His sisters names’ are Sarah and Grace. I just killed him.
He defects the next week.
*
Fucking and killing.
There is a body beneath him.
Benji straddles it, leans closer to find its face. With carefully cupped hands, he slides his fingers around the back of a neck. Tips petting down the rounded edge of the skull. Presses a sweaty, firm touch to the soft and vulnerable and warm flesh where bone curves inwards. He brings their foreheads together, panting breath melding, and gazes into eyes an assortment of colors. Until recently, he hasn’t much cared for specifics in that regard.
What he likes best about this, pinning a gaze with his own, is watching that flickering spark. He likes seeing the light build bright, fearful pleasure and pleasurable fear alike. He likes watching eyes roll back, whites flashing, a mouth parted wide and gaping, gasping.
Benji will drop a palm, trace it down a firm flat chest, calloused fingers rough and catching on fabric and buckles or skin and muscle. He’ll use his free hand to guide it in.
Knife or cock. Doesn’t matter. Fuck or kill. Doesn’t matter. People tend not to enjoy thinking about how similar those are, but Benji does.
Benji enjoys thinking about it quite a lot.

thigh riding - eunhyuk
Tumblr media
genre: smut
wc: 395
request: can I req a fic with thigh riding and whichever member you think would be most into it?
warning: thigh riding, soft dom hyukjae.
Tumblr media
You moan as you grind on Hyukjae’s thigh, your hands tied up on your back making it a little difficult for you to move your hips, even a little painful due to the effort but it’s worth all the way.
You were covered in sweat only wearing one of his unbuttoned white shirts. You closed your eyes overwhelmed by pleasure. Hyukjae pressed his thumb on your lips looking at you darkly and eager. You licked on his finger, suctioning and using your tongue to roll all over his finger.
He flexed his thigh, you cried. His clothed thigh pressing your folds and clit. You rolled your hips faster, trying to keep the balance.
“My baby is so eager for me,” he purred. He pulled out his thumb to cup your cheek letting your moans finally leave your mouth. “You're doing well.”
You moaned again instead of giving a proper answer, his thigh flexing to rub your sensitive nub. You were making a mess on his pants and the sight was so hot. Hyukjae found it amusing but heavily arousing about how he could make you this wet and horny only by riding his thigh. He loved to see how you would use him to have pleasure to yourself, but also enjoyed seeing you restraining a little bit. Your hips slowed down for a moment.
“Should I untie you?” Hyukjae whispered.
You nodded. You looked so fucked out. You tried to contain yourself from begging him to do it. He was being permissible that night. Hyukjae undid the knots around your wrists and your arms hooked on his shoulders pressing your bodies together.
You rocked your hips again with more freedom. His hands began to guide your thrusts and teased your sensitive folds with his thigh.
“Oh, fuck” you cried. His fingers started to play with your nipple and breast, his mouth leaving some kisses and marks on your chest.
You felt that wave shocking through your body and came on his thigh gripping on his shirt. You tried in vain to contain your loud moans.
Hyukjae leaned to kiss you rough, your whole body trembling. You felt his erection growing between your legs as he pulled you closer.
“Someone might need some help now,” you teased grinding your hips against his bulge.
He groaned, his hands on your ass. Happily he will accept your help.

req: ksjdksks bakugou crushing on a girl in the year above who can kick his ass without a second thought??? idk just a concept.. and said girl being v smug about it bcuz she can turn him into a blushing school boy, so she gives him “lessons” on how to kiss etc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) tag list: @smol-floatyy @wholesomey-artist @moonlightinsanity rated teen; takes place in high school. contents: a little suggestive.
~
Bakugo glared up at you as you pinned him to the ground, a wide smile over you face. you were a third year while he was a second year, but he was determined to kick your ass. you were so smug about the fact that you could beat him, he hated it, but it was true. he still had yet to pin you successfully or beat you in a sparring match. ever since your class had training day with his, he’d been determined to beat you after you made a fool of him in front of his classmates, not that their opinions mattered, though sometimes they brought it up as if it were some kind of leverage. that constant reminder of you made him mad, so he challenged you to another match after school, and again, you beat him. you did it so effortlessly, so skilled and powerful with technique and your quirk. it had his blood boiling so much that he kept coming back to you.
eventually, you got bored just defeating him over and over again, but you didn’t stop accepting his offer. you just found a way to make it all the more fun. you started saying things to him that confused him, made him blush red, made his heart speed up faster. you would call him little pet names, things sweeter than what he would call you or his friends, and give him a wink every now and again. when you would pin him down, you’d lean in close to his ear and whisper teasingly about how it should be “the other way around” in a much more sensual voice. These things sometimes it made him stutter, other times it caused his hands to crackle. every reaction he gave just fueled you to keep going, he was just too cute to stop flustering him.
today was no different. you had teased him and teased him, it bled into taunting at one point, until he was so flustered that it was actually affecting his fighting and you had him pinned again. you offered to take a break, drink some water, cool down a bit, then you’d get back to it. he dropped himself onto a bench angrily, glaring at his bottle whenever he wasn’t getting a sip from it. you watched him, whipping your forehead and stretching your arms. you walked over to him and plopped down beside him, but he didn’t look at you. you acted idly for a moment, waiting to see if he would say anything to you, but this only gave you time to think of something fun to do.
you smirked, reaching out and touching his arm. he didn’t flinch away or really move at all, but he glanced at your hand as you rubbed his muscles, feeling the way they involuntarily flexed at your touch. “you know, there are other things that I can teach you… more important things.”
he looked at you, his signature scowl boring into your face. “oh? and what could you possibly teach me that I don’t already know?”
you leaned in closer to him and tilted your head, capturing his lips with yours. he didn’t move for a moment, staring at your face and your relaxed eyelids, ready to pull back and protest, but that dissipated quickly. his eyes closed and he kissed back, hands on his lap without a thought of where he could put them. you hummed, scooting closer without breaking the kiss and taking over of his hands into yours, leading it to your waist. his fingers curled around your frame and pulled you closer while your hands came to rest on his shoulders. his other hand found itself on your face, then it slid into your hair. during all this hand business, the kiss had turned from simple to sloppy. tongues mingling, lips squishing together, intermittent hot breathes exchanged.
you pulled away first, nearly gasping for breath. a small string of saliva connected the two of you and broke once you were too far apart. he stared at you, eyes cloudy and soft, lips red and slightly swollen, cheeks entirely pink. he was breathing quickly, panting with his tongue slightly poked out. by no means was he the best kisser, but he did catch on fast. as soon as he caught his breath, he was pulling you into him again, but not forcing your lips to his. he was hesitant, trying to make sure that you wanted to kiss him again.
“eager for another lesson?” you teased, slipping a hand onto the back of his neck. he made a “humph” sound, lip pouting a bit. he didn’t speak, just pulled you into him. you carefully lifted yourself onto his lap, giggling. “alright, well to put it elegantly, I’m about to shove my tongue down your throat.”

Shit, shit, shit!
Ino’s breathing was ragged as she launched herself off the wet, muddy ground and up into the trees. The chakra coating her feet kept her steady on slick bark, but her reserves were dwindling and her concentration was split between tracking her enemy and formulating a plan on the fly.
This was supposed to be a simple mission; she was going to murder Shikamaru when she got back to Konoha.
But thoughts of home could wait, right now she had an S-rank fugitive to lead as far away from her terrified genin team as her battered body would allow. They were safe enough for now – Yui was injured, but she at least remained conscious and she had Haru and Risa with her to care for her, Ino could only pray that they’d followed her orders to head for the nearest village and gotten there safely – but Ino herself was running out of air and energy, her broken arm jolting painfully in its crude sling with every jump she made.
The sound of snapping branches behind her was growing closer. She kept her gaze on the path ahead, but had to bite her lip tightly to keep her head clear.
She could recall most of the vital information from the man’s entry in Konoha’s Bingo Book; a former Kiri-nin, fled his country over twenty years ago, known to use lightning jutsu and experiment with chakra amplifying techniques, something of a lone wolf, suspected of multiple counts of kidnapping and human experimentation.
On any other day, she could easily take this guy, but they’d stumbled into an ambush and she’d had three young, unprepared students to protect. He got off a lucky shot and she had been forced to flee long enough to get her team out of harm’s way, before doubling back to lead him far, far away from them. No way was she letting some filthy low-life get a hold of her kids, nor did she intend to let him get away and hurt anyone else.
Now she just had to make a plan to beat him.
She didn’t get long to plan however, when a bolt of lightning streaked past her and severed the branch she had just been readying to land on before she could get there. Too late to change course, she could only brace herself for a rough landing.
Her broken arm screamed as she hit the ground, even her best attempts to shield it not doing anything to stop the tremor that spread through her entire body when she landed heavily on her back. No time to waste thinking about pain though; she sprang to her feet just in time to dodge his follow-up attack. He landed behind her and threw a jutsu-enhanced punch at the back of her head, she ducked, leg spinning out to cut his out from under him, he jumped, flipping over her to land at her back again, growling, she rolled forward and – with a chakra boost – launched herself forwards, darting between trees and trying to gain some distance.
Maybe she could create a few clones, send him on a chase while she hid and prepared one of her family’s techniques, she didn’t want to take the risk of mind-body switch in this scenario, but maybe mind distur-
She just barely dodged the fist of lighting aimed at her already-injured arm, her breathing ragged as she ducked away from his constant attacks, never giving her the chance to counter.
Her foot caught a root as she backed away and she could feel herself falling. Fuck.
A shrill, ear-splitting screech cut through the air, leaving Ino both jittery and dazed as she tried to work out what the hell he’d just done. But, when her eyes landed on him, he was already leaping away from her, dodging out of the way of the tree crashing down where he had just been standing, his own eyes wide as saucers as he wildly looked around.
Less than a second after he landed, another tree began to scream its descent.
Someone else is after him? She barely had time to act on that thought – instinctually searching out for chakra signatures nearby – when, in a flurry of leaves and petals, her opponent was ensnared in twisting branches of a sapling cherry tree.
Her stomach twisted violently. His vain struggling against the chakra-strengthened branches went completely ignored by her, as the third party finally stepped out of the forest.
Ino didn’t need to see her to know; the painfully familiar touch of her chakra was more than enough.
Pink hair – the same shade as the tiny flowers dotting the wooden prison – was cut close to her head, arms as thick as tree trunks and darkened by sunlight were left bare, as were the well-muscled legs clad only in plain, practical shorts. The years had been good to her, she looked stronger, and not just physically.
She didn’t want to speak, didn’t want to draw the woman’s attention, didn’t want to discover that she had been forgotten.
The word escaped her lips regardless.
“S-Sakura?”
Those eyes, older, a little tired perhaps, but still sparkling in the dappled light filtering through the leaves high above them. “Ino!”
Before she could formulate a single coherent thought, she was lifted in crushing arms and spun wildly around. Under different circumstances, she might’ve found pleasure in being held tightly in warm, sturdy arms, but as it was, she had a broken arm trapped between their bodies.
Her sharp hiss quickly stopped the exuberant greeting and she was carefully dropped.
“Shit, sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you, I just got so excited,” Sakura said, hands flapping vaguely near her injured arm as though it might drop off any second, “here, let me-”
Fighting every aching desire within her, Ino jerked away, glancing over her shoulder to check on the criminal still trapped within Sakura’s jutsu – and the bombshell that the girl, no, she was a woman now, had somehow learned Wood Release in the years they’d been apart was something she would just have to unpack later – examining his chakra to ensure he was truly unconscious and not just faking it, before turning her back to her oldest and dearest friend.
“Ino?”
She withheld a shudder, concealing the motion as she stepped forwards. “I can’t exactly stop and catch up; I’ve got to find my students.”
“Oh, I think I met them already,” Sakura said, jogging ahead to cut her off, “three kids, the tall girl had a wounded leg and the boy was wearing a hat? They’re the ones who told me their sensei still needed help.”
Her good hand flew to Sakura’s shirt, gripping tightly. “Where are they, tell me you didn’t just leave them alone-”
The low chuckle simultaneously made her want to punch the woman and swoon.
She settled for glaring.
“Relax, they’re with Tsunade-shishou and she’s already healed their wounds-” the relief must’ve been obvious on her face, because Sakura’s lips quirked up slightly “-it was actually a bit of a struggle getting them to stay behind.”
Sakura once again reached for her arm, Ino shrugged her off and turned away. “I should still go see them, make sure they’re alright.”
“Hey, stop worrying for a second and let me help you.” Placing her hand on Ino’s uninjured shoulder, Sakura slowly pushed her to sit on the spongy moss covering the ground, then, with the gentlest touch Ino had ever known, she pulled her broken arm out of its sling and set to work.
Ino stared at the expression of pure concentration on her old friend, the hard lines of her profile softened by the light green glow emanating from her hands. She had been ignoring the pain fairly well until now, but the sudden relief that flooded through her nerves left her feeling a little light-headed, which was perhaps why she decided to open her mouth.
“Since when can you do that?” She winced at how bitter she sounded. Shit, she really had intended to stay calm and civil, but her idiot brain was ignoring every pleading wail of her fool heart to just accept the gift and dig her fingers through that short, messy hair and kiss the beautiful, wonderful jerk already.
If Sakura noticed her tone, she didn’t say so and her eyes flicked over to meet hers for only a second before returning to her arm. “Not long after I left, I guess.”
“And… that?” she asked, glowering at the man held limp in his prison.
“That... was a more recent development, took me ages to figure it out, but it’s pretty cool though, right?” If she hadn’t been busy with her healing, Ino had the awful suspicion that she would’ve flexed her arms, or waggled her eyebrows as well.
She snapped her arm away from Sakura’s grasp the second the healing was complete, absently twisting her joints to regain some feeling in them. “That’s one word for it,” she muttered, pushing herself to her feet and staring into the forest. If she really stretched her senses, she could pick up the three familiar chakra signatures of her students; she started walking towards them, tossing a glance over her shoulder. “I assume you can take our friend there to the necessary authorities.”
“What?” Once more her path was blocked, this time by a rapidly sprouting sapling. “Ino, we haven’t seen each other in so long, why are you so desperate to get away?”
“Because I’ve got a team to take care of. I don’t have the luxury of shirking my responsibilities.”
Clearly Sakura was done ignoring her not-so-subtle cattiness, judging by the hint of frustration to her voice as she said, “Are you mad at me for something?”
Ino stared at the flowers blooming in front of her nose and hated the little part of her that got excited at seeing tiny purple buds mixed in with the pink. She immediately shut her eyes against the sight and tried desperately to hold on to the ball of anger deep in her chest, threatening to dissolve into shadows and slip through her fingers any second.
She had imagined this day for so long now, played out so many different scenarios and responses – anger, joy, grief, love – but now that Sakura was here, real and close, the potential she’d fallen for as a girl, finally realised, bolder and more beautiful than she ever could have dreamed…
“It’s been over fourteen years Sakura! You can't just show up out of nowhere and act like nothing’s wrong!” Ino was on the verge of tears and even she couldn’t tell whether she was aiming to sound furious or distressed, but she pushed on, refusing to open her eyes, or turn back around, because she just knew that the second she looked Sakura in the face, all would be forgiven. “Where the hell have you been? Why did you leave?”
The long silence that followed her outburst was crushing.
Something silky and soft brushed against her cheek and, if she wasn’t intimately familiar with the texture of petals and leaves from her work, she might’ve leapt out of her skin. Instead she just let the flower wipe away the tear that had slipped free of her eye.
When Sakura finally spoke again, her voice came from just a few inches behind her, low and calming, “It wasn’t a decision I made lightly and I can’t pretend I don’t have some regrets leaving the way I did… but I don’t regret leaving.” Gentle calm, quickly turned to barely restrained excitement and Ino smiled at the enthusiasm in her old friend’s voice despite herself. “There’s so much out in the world, so much I’ve learned, ways I’ve grown, if I’d stayed, I never would’ve had the opportunity to learn healing from Tsunade-shishou, or develop my own kind of Wood Style! Konoha… it held me back, maybe not deliberately, but now that I’ve been outside it for so long, I can see just how much it needs to change.”
Opening her eyes and slowly turning around to face the woman, Ino had to accept that she had lost whatever battle she was fighting with herself.
Really, she’d lost the second Sakura showed up, eyes and soul blazing.
“I guess I can understand that,” she said, rubbing at the damp tracks across her cheeks, “but you didn’t even explain it, when you told me you were going away to train for a while, I thought you meant for a few weeks, but I kept waiting and you never came back and I didn’t even know what was happening, if you were even still safe.”
Sakura at least had the grace to look ashamed. “Yeah, that was pretty shit of me, I probably should’ve at least written to you more, but I just… you were more than a best friend to me, you were my idol, everything I wanted to be. And I needed to become someone you could love.”
She scoffed before she could stop herself, before shaking her head. “You idiot, I always loved you.”
A soft blush settled on her cheeks, but Sakura’s smile held not a spec of embarrassment, just a soft, subtle kind of melancholy. “I know, but…” She looked down at herself, hands fidgeting with the fabric of her shirt before she continued, in a voice that shook, just a little, at the edges, “But, before I could love you – as a person, not an idea – I had to learn how to love myself.”
Ino bit her lip and hesitantly reached out, laying her hand gently over Sakura’s. “So, do you? Love yourself I mean?”
She glanced down at the hand encasing her own, before slowly following the line of her arm back up to her face. Her gaze was tender, but assured. “Yeah,” she said with a short laugh, every trace of sadness lifting from her face in the wake of her bright smile.
It was crooked and a bit too wide, showing off teeth that had probably been knocked loose more than once, and it was the most beautiful Ino had ever seen her.
“Yeah, I really do.”
“And-” she didn’t care that her hand was trembling against Sakura’s as she stepped closer; close enough to count the freckles dusted across her nose and marvel at the myriad shades of green in her eyes “-do you love me?”
Sakura stepped forward herself, tilting her neck slightly to look her in the eye. “You even have to ask?”
Before she could think of an adequate response to that, she was tugged down and warm lips were pressed against hers in a feather-light kiss. Ino pressed closer, sliding her free hand behind Sakura’s neck to hold her in place as they giggled into each other’s skin. They stood like that for what felt like an eternity, kissing chaste but oh-so-sweet, occasionally stopping to just lean their foreheads together and share in their equally wobbly smiles.
Eventually though, they had to wake up from their fantasy come to life, when the long-forgotten prisoner began to stir and immediately started cursing them both.
“C’mon, lets get back to your team before Tsunade starts teaching them gambling tricks,” Sakura said, pulling away to tear the jail from the ground and sling it – trunk, roots, criminal and all – over her shoulder.
Ino was not at all ashamed to admit that she swooned.
“And… maybe I could come back with you? I’ve been away from home for way too long.” The question was a little uncertain, as though Sakura was still worried that she might be rejected.
The hand Ino offered was taken without question and they both began walking toward home.

i rate 2020, 20 out of 20
i was glad that i had my birthday before the lockdown and i got to see my friends on that day even though the day was a crap because we had a fs defense. but srsly, i thought the virus was very very temporary as in 2 weeks would already ease the problem out. my comeback performance as a stallion member (was supposed to be my last dance as a stallions member) got cancelled and it sucks that it did.
my first greatest flex during the pandemic is my shopee journey. i have been in the shopee world since April, earning something in livestreams. until i became a participant-competitor for a one-week shopee livestream competition. it was a pain in the ass but a hundred of my shopee friends supported me all the way and i am very glad that i met very wonderful people, that until now engage in my posts online. i found a family in shopee and i even cried for them at my last livestream. i retired my shopee hobby on June. didnt believe that i earned a five-digit amount of money there. i spent a lot of audio calls with friends that i havent met personally, strategizing and bashing competitors that played dirty. i didnt sleep for 24 hours just to earn some cash—- that i bought myself my dream pair of shoes. all that hardwork paid off. but my greatest prize was my friends ofcourse. they were all chillin in Luzon meanwhile i am here in Mindanao. i hope someday ill get to meet them because they’re very fun people and we share blessings (we mean money).
my second flex would be my artist career. i started my art life because of a certain shopee friend who gave me a special stylus. i was so happy that i was able to create magical artworks that i never believed i could have done. my shopee friends were the people who cheered and hyped up the start of my journey//artversions account. they provided me the materials, gave comments about price ranges, commended my works, and even became my first customers. i hesitated to accept commissions at first because i am not good enough. but i risked it and invested some money for advertising and other supplies. it worked, thankfully. every week i did not think that people would actually dm me and commission me. i was just glad that people come back again and again letting me draw diffferent faces. i could say my start-up business was successful for the year 2020.
nevertheless, never had the thought that online class was doable/feasible here in the Philippines so i did not prepare my whole self for it. so far i pulled off the first semester and yo boi gon try to hit those kwatros again. i tried my best to still give off that aiverson branding in the online set up just for me to be comfortable with the new routine. its hard to be spontaneous on serious situations but i try my best to still amuse people with who i naturally am. i cried for not being able to be classmates with some selected friends but in the end i just didnt care at all because this is an online set up and being classmates or not doesnt matter anymore. the different tasks given to us gave me doors of opportunities to improve my creativity. i dont call my works magis because my goal was not to make my output look outstanding among everyone’s work,, i just wanted to improve myself and know my extent in terms of creativity. it unexpectedly worked on teachers tho.
another happy thing that 2020 gave me is the chance to be a part of the creatives team of our academic org. i was very happy and excited knowing that i was the only freshie and the only applicant that got in the committee (maybe because i was the only one who applied??) but yea,, they got me in the committee and i proved myself right. they thought i was just all about artsy artsy vector shiz and all that, but nope. i worked hard learning more complex applications just to kick the pubmats some spice of creativity and standards. i surely impressed our head of layouts tho because i became his “assistant” in everything that he did. thankful for the projects he gave me because it was a platform for me to show everyone my skills in graphics and layout.
in conclusion, 2020 was a blast. everything were laid out to me. the Lord really planned everything from the beginning. started from online shopping in shopee then discovering shopee livestreams for me to earn then meeting shopee friends who started and supported my artist journey which gave way to new opportunities such as the creatives team and acads reqs. definitely 2020 was the year that i needed. was actually my pre-debut as a person who just stepped on legality. looking forward to be a very great person in my actual debut year. i admit that i became a better person last 2020 and i will work smarter this 2021 to be a better version of a better self.
i am proud of myself everyday, and i won’t stop reminding my own self that i am enough and i did my best in everything. cheers to 2021!

Pit Stop: Deleting LS AFM; Is VVT Good for Performance?
Drawn for GM by famed technical illustrator David Kimble, this cutaway shows the inner workings of a Gen IV 2007 6.0L L76 engine. It’s very similar to Glenn Blauvelt’s L77, with the exception of not supporting E85 flex-fuel capability. Note the AFM-style lifters with the spring-like locking mechanism at the pushrod end (arrows). Axing the AFM requires different lifters, cam, lifter guides, engine valley cover, and other parts. General Motors
QUESTION I’m in the process of transplanting an L77 from a 2012 Caprice 9C1 PPV [police pursuit vehicle] along with its 6L80E [six-speed, longitudinally mounted electronic automatic overdrive transmission] into a 1959 Rambler Cross Country station wagon. One of the weak spots in these engines is the valve lifters for the active fuel management (AFM), so I’m going to do away with it. Since this will require a new cam (among other parts), I’m looking at a mild upgrade to get the horsepower up to around 400; anything beyond that will be overkill in a roughly 2,800-pound daily driver.
I know that when a lot of guys do the AFM removal, they also delete variable valve timing (VVT), but things I’ve read about VVT suggest that it can give you the best of power and torque across the powerband. The engine will be controlled by the stock ECU with whatever programming changes need to be made for this swap, so I’m curious if removing AFM also requires removing VVT and, if not, would leaving the VVT intact make the engine a better performer? Glenn Blauvelt Via email
ANSWER Active fuel management (AFM), sometimes called “displacement on demand,” selectively disables half the cylinders under light throttle in an attempt to improve fuel mileage. When activated, the valves in the AFM-enabled cylinders don’t open or close. EPA tests claim an estimated 5.5 to 7.5 percent fuel-economy increase. Variable valve timing (VVT) hydraulically advances and retards the camshaft, in theory improving both fuel mileage and performance.
Nearly all 2005-and-later GM LS Gen IV cylinder blocks include provisions to accept AFM and VVT, but depending on the engine option and model year, a complete Gen IV engine assembly can have both AFM and VVT, just one or the other, or neither. In other words, as implemented by GM, AFM and VVT aren’t necessarily used concurrently; they are independent systems. Specifically, the 6.0L (364ci) RPO L77 engine has AFM enabled, but does not use VVT. (The L77 also includes flex-fuel capability, allowing it to run on both gasoline and E85 ethanol.)
GM LS Generation III small-blocks were produced from 1996–2007. They have a conventional block valley with no provisions for AFM. Generation IV engines were phased in beginning in 2005; they have oil transfer “towers” in the valley for supplying oil to AFM solenoids.
A VVT-equipped engine has a bulged-out front timing cover plus an extra electrical connector in the bulge. Non-VVT-equipped Gen IVs have a flat front cover. In the late-model, post-1980 GM world, the best way to identify a stock production engine package is by getting the 17-character VIN number located on top of the vehicle dash at the driver side near the front windshield, then taking it to your GM dealer for further information. Failing that, there is usually a barcode on the end of the cylinder head or down on the oil pan.
How to ID a Gen IV VVT-enabled engine, or that ain’t a banana, it’s my phaser-clearance nose: Non-VVT Gen IVs have a flat front timing cover. Engines with VVT (variable valve timing) have a bulged front cover that provides clearance for the advance/retard hydraulic cam phaser.
For those who just want to crutch a tired AFM-equipped stocker, at the most basic level there is the AFM disabler, an electronic device that plugs into the OBD II diagnostic port under the instrument panel and prevents the ECU (computer) from switching over to four-cylinder mode. Examples of these devices include the Range Technology RA003 and the DiabloSport S1000. Disabler devices like these should only be used if the valvetrain is otherwise in good working order.
The problem is that—at least when initially introduced—the AFM-specific valve lifters had some issues, so chances are the reason you’d want to get rid of the AFM on a stocker is because of an AFM lifter failure and/or abnormally high oil consumption.
For performance use, you don’t want to just “disable” AFM; instead, it should be completely removed by swapping out the discrete AFM parts for non-AFM “standard” parts. AFM-related parts that need to be changed out include:
The camshaft, because AFM cams have two different pairs of lobe profiles, one used on the non-AFM cylinders, the other for the AFM-specific cylinders. Replace with a conventional performance camshaft of your choice.
The upper cam sprocket (optional): The widest variety of LS performance cams are set up for a three-bolt cam sprocket design. Cam sprockets for VVT-enabled engines all have one bolt, with less variety of “shelf” grinds available without getting into a custom-order profile. Our best information is that your non-VVT L77 also uses a one-bolt cam sprocket, but there’s no reason you can’t install a three-bolt timing set to broaden your cam choices if desired. For specific camshaft recommendations, see this response’s final paragraph and the accompanying table.
The AFM lifters, because they’re specifically designed for AFM and won’t work with non-AFM lobes. AFM lifters have nearly 0.010 inch of movement before their inner mechanism locks, requiring a much softer cam profile than standard as well as limits on maximum lift. Technically, you need to replace only the motor’s AFM-specific lifters (8 out of the V8 engine’s total of 16; the other 8 are conventional), but many tuners like to replace all 16 with a brand-new performance conventional lifter set, especially if the engine has over 50,000 miles on it. According to Elway Chevrolet’s Ken Casey, if purchasing lifters from GM, LS2/LS7 lifters (GM PN 12499225, set of 16; PN 17122490, single lifter) reputedly rpm better than standard conventional GM lifters. Aftermarket cam specialists stock dedicated high-perf conventional lifter sets.
AFM-style valve lifters have an AFM-enabling spring-like mechanism on top. When deleting AFM, the AFM-specific lifters must be replaced by conventional LS-style lifters (8 needed). Surf around on Amazon.com and you can find new ACDelco non-AFM lifters for as low as $10 apiece. Amazon.com
The AFM-enabled engine’s plastic lifter guides (aka “gloves”): Each glove holds two “mixed” lifter pairs—one conventional pair plus one AFM pair for a total of four lifters per pair—so you need to replace all four AFM lifter gloves with gloves that accept four conventional lifters per guide.
On AFM-enabled engines each lifter guide has two small holes for standard lifters and two big holes for AFM lifters (shown). Two each of two different AFM-type guides are used: GM PN 12669184, front lifters; GM PN 12669185, rear lifters. When deleting AFM, the AFM guides are replaced by four identical small-hole, conventional lifter guides (GM PN 12593365). Amazon.com
The Gen IV AFM-specific engine valley cover: AFM-enabled engines have a valley cover with electric solenoids mounted underneath it that activate the AFM mechanism when directed by the ECU. With conventional lifters replacing the AFM-type lifters, to prevent an internal oil leak and/or overall low oil pressure, the AFM cover with its solenoids must be removed and replaced with a non-AFM Gen IV conventional valley cover that seals against the Gen IV block’s oil-passage transfer towers. If your intake manifold and PCV system will remain stock, the engine’s existing AFM valley cover should be replaced by an equivalent non-AFM Gen IV valley cover. There are two basic styles: One without a PCV valve boss or vent (used with engines with valve cover-mounted PCV systems, typical of high-perf cars), the other without a PCV valve boss (used with engines with a valve-cover-mounted PCV system, typical of trucks).
How to ID an AFM-enabled Gen IV: Look for “worm tracks” on top of the AFM-specific engine valley cover (officially called a “lifter oil manifold assembly”, or LOMA, by the General). The “tracks” transfer oil from the block’s valley towers to electrically actuated solenoid valves on the LOMA’s underside. An electrical plug (missing on the used cover shown here) actuates the solenoids, which then supply a pressurized oil signal to the AFM-type valve lifters that in turn disable and re-enable exhaust and intake valve operation. Several different LOMAs exist; if retaining AFM, LOMAs are in Group 0.334 in the engine parts section of your GM dealer’s parts catalog. New solenoids are sold only as part of a complete LOMA assembly.
ID a non-AFM-equipped Gen IV by the smooth valley cover top without worm tracks (left, both photos). Instead of the solenoids, the bottom of a non-AFM Gen IV cover has seals that plug the Gen IV block’s oil transfer towers. An earlier Gen III cover (right, both photos) won’t fit any Gen IV block, even those that don’t have AFM. GM non-AFM valley covers as well as Gen III covers are still listed as a “cover,” and continue to hang out in catalog Group 3.265 where fuel-system parts and intakes are normally found. Several variations exist; the Gen IV cover at the left in both photos (GM 12598832) works with valve-cover mounted PCV systems.
If the engine has a PCV valve vent in the valley cover (arrow)—typical of many high-perf car Gen IV engines—use cover PN 12599296, stock on LS3/LS7 motors. Note the under-cover antisplash oil baffle.
Miscellaneous fasteners: While technically not different between AFM and non-AFM applications, the stock head bolts and harmonic damper bolt are torque-to-yield fasteners and can’t be reused. Replace with a fresh set of stock fasteners or move up to stronger and reusable premium fasteners such as those made by ARP. (A cam change requires removing the front cover and harmonic damper, which is why a new damper bolt is needed.)
Head gaskets: Most regular LS gaskets are nominally reusable, except for the head gaskets, which must be replaced with new items.
The oil pump (optional): Some sources recommend plugging the AFM-enabled engine’s oil pressure relief valve in the oil pan, then replacing the AFM-type, high-volume oil pump with a standard-volume oil pump. According to Summit Racing, “When you eliminate the AFM system, the extra oil isn’t needed. Excess oil will be pushed out of the pressure relief valve in the oil pan, which will spray oil on the bottom of the cylinder walls. This can cause oil burning, especially in high-rpm engines.” Others, including high-end LS forced-induction engine builder Ken Duttweiler as well as the experts at Comp Camps, recommend leaving the oil system alone on street-driven cars. Duttweiler firmly states, “I’ve never encountered any problems in this regard.”
The referenced changeover parts can be purchased individually from a GM dealer like Elway, or you can avoid the hassle (and potentially get a better price) by procuring an “all-in-one-box” aftermarket AFM delete kit. They’re available from many sources, including Summit Racing’s own branded kits, but vary in completeness and don’t always clearly identify different options (such as the differences between car and truck valley covers or different displacements). Comp Cams and Brian Tooley Racing are two venders that do offer different kits that more or less clearly account for discrete model variations.
Moving on to the electronic aspects of this conversion, you need to disconnect and tape off the AFM solenoid control connector at the back of the valley cover. However, you should also reprogram the ECU itself to permanently disable AFM, or the engine likely will miss and run rough at idle and off-idle. Your engine isn’t going back in the original vehicle, so you’ll have to reprogram the ECU anyway to remove the VATS (vehicle antitheft system) lockout. Then, too, you’ll be running a performance cam with greater air/fuel demands. HP Tuners’ VCM software is one highly regarded stock computer tuner program.
Removing the front cover reveals the front timing set and oil pump on this VVT-enabled LS Gen IV. To delete VVT, you need a new timing set, a non-VVT cam, a “flat-face” Gen IV timing cover, and computer reprogramming.
For those engines that do have VVT, what are its performance benefits? Comparing a conventional or “locked”-advance cam versus a VVT cam, both ground for similar applications with similar durations, Comp Cams’ Billy Godbold claims about a “15 lb-ft gain down low by advancing the cam via VVT, with as much as 15 to 20 lb-ft more upstairs. This assumes a typical street profile—an 800- to 1,200-rpm idle speed, a converter that flashes to 2,500 rpm, and a 7,000-rpm rev limit.” So if you already have VVT, for street performance “it’s not a good idea to get rid of it.”
Containing the control spool valve, a filter, and a check valve, the Gen IV VVT phaser assembly (A) is retained by a central bolt (B). An electronic force motor (C), a solenoid that’s installed in the redesigned front cover, has an armature that pushes on the spool valve based on input from a control unit connected to the ECU. This includes a camshaft position sensor (D), which interfaces with a four-tooth cam sensor (E) to recognize the position of the cam relative to the crank.
On the other hand, Godbold says that “racers that operate between 5,500 to 7,500 rpm won’t see any benefit from VVT. Even on the street, if you don’t already have the VVT components, it’s not worth the extra cost; it’s very expensive to add it, about as costly as a small blower or turbo.
On Gen IV LS VVT-enabled engines, GM supplies oil through a hole (circle) in the newly grooved No. 2 cam journal. The oil runs through the gun-drilled hollow cam core, then out the front via the central retention bolt and into the phaser.
“As cams get bigger, you need to limit the amount of VVT advance to avoid piston-to-valve clearance issues.” GM’s phaser scheme starts out at—depending on the model year—7 or 17 degrees advanced from the cam profile’s as-ground position, then retards as much as 52 to 60 crankshaft degrees from there. “From a failsafe point of view, the best solution is to physically limit the total amount of retard to 20 degrees with one of Comp Cams’ phaser travel limiter kits. That’s plenty to achieve big power gains with the right cam profile without major reprogramming. If you limited retard solely by reprogramming the ECU, if the system makes even the tiniest error that puts the valve into the piston at the same time for even a millisecond, it will destroy the valve and probably the piston.
As cams get larger, VVT engines may encounter piston-to-valve clearance issues. Comp Cams offers mechanical cam phaser limiter kits that limit the amount of cam advance. According to Comp, it’s safer to physically limit the advance rather than relying solely on reprogramming the ECU. PN 5460, shown here, fits 2009-and-later Gen IV and 2014-and-later Gen V engines. Comp Cams
“On a cam ground for active (but phaser-limited) VVT, you still have limits on intake opening and duration, but you can put virtually any exhaust lobe on it. Nevertheless, once the cam profile has over 240 degrees duration at 0.050-inch tappet lift, running a phaser limiter on even a street-driven car is not a good idea, because with that much duration, piston-to-valve clearance issues won’t allow enough cam advance to really make a difference.” If getting rid of VVT entirely, you also have to “turn off” or disable the ECU’s VVT-related tables.
Finally, for your non-VVT 6.0L L77 motor that’s going in that lightweight Rambler, remember that it is, as Godbold puts it, “Stupid-easy to make big power and torque numbers on an LS motor. It’s almost embarrassing how much a gain you end up with compared to performing similar mods on an old-school small-block.” With an automatic trans, a stock L77 is rated at 349 SAE NET hp, with 381 lb-ft of torque, so getting to 400 hp is simply a no-brainer with one of the performance cams in the adjacent table, a set of headers, and custom computer tuning. The recommended “shelf” cams are both good choices for a nonemissions, non-VVT, non-AFR, retrofit application in a lightweight car. LS motors just love to rev. Don’t be surprised if your final output at the flywheel is north of 425 hp.
Most Gen IV engines originally came with a one-bolt cam sprocket. While Comp Cams does offer one-bolt LS timing sets and cams, the selection of catalog three-bolt LS cam grinds is broader. This quality three-bolt Comp single-roller timing set (PN 3172KT) fits 58x four-pole reluctor Gen IV engines, and also includes a Hex-Adjust mechanism that simplifies degreeing-in a new cam plus a thrust bearing. It’s around $190 at Amazon and Summit. Comp Cams

Symfony Flex: Paving the Path to a Faster, Better Symfony
Symfony Flex is a modern replacement for the Symfony Installer, and not the name of the next Symfony version. As the intro text says:
Internally, Symfony Flex is a Composer plugin that modifies the behavior of the require and update commands. When installing or updating dependencies in a Flex-enabled application, Symfony can perform tasks before and after the execution of Composer tasks.
The new Symfony will be called just Symfony 4, and while this tutorial will deal only with the Flex tool, it will mention some Symfony 4 upgrades as well.
Still Under Development
Symfony Flex can be considered a Composer wrapper, in that it provides your Symfony project with additional options during installation and configuration. It was developed with simplicity in mind, and obviously heavily influenced by the user-friendliness of Laravel. Remember, Laravel got to its current level of popularity due to its ease of use and the low entry barrier it provides newcomers with, and Symfony wanted to emulate this.
It should be noted that both Flex and Symfony 4 are still under development, slated for release somewhere at the end of November this year (2017). As such, some of the features mentioned in this post may have changed by the time you read it, but we'll do our best to keep it up to date.
Most notably, the use of a makefile and the make tool to build a project if Symfony/Console is unavailable is still up in the air, as it seems to not be working properly on some operating systems. Fabien recently held a survey around this, asking for the community's suggestions to a replacement, and overwhelmingly, the community voted in favor of just making Symfony/Console required.
What's Different?
Most notably, Flex respects the coming Symfony 4 updates which boil down to the following major changes:
PHP 7+ is required
all folders are optional. If your project isn't using one, it doesn't have to be there. This makes the directory tree much simpler and more readable. Additionally, often useless files like .htaccess, LICENSE, and README have been removed as well - a project which needs those can easily add them.
there is no more web folder. Instead, there is the public folder, like in all other major frameworks. This consolidates user experience across ecosystems.
temporary files go under /var in the root of the project folder, with the /var/cache subfolder reserved for long term cache, like merged class files for deploying apps as read-only artifacts
source code goes under /src. No /app.
configuration goes into /config.
templates go into /templates.
Flex will have its own Symfony-verified list of packages that are referenced by one and one alias alone. So executing composer require cli will actually trigger Flex, which will look in its list of packages, find the one tagged as cli (in this case, Symfony Console), and install it. These "official" packages are called recipes, and can be found here. To accept user-submitted recipes, a flag exists in Flex's configuration which needs to be set to true: composer config extra.symfony.allow-contrib true. Those recipes can be found here. By officially endorsing some packages, Symfony is in many ways becoming as opinionated as Laravel. While this is bad in some ways, it's very good in many more ways: a consolidated, opinionated way to build Symfony apps used by most people so that everyone is on the same page.
bundle fragments no longer need to be custom-activated and added into a ton of files. Flex automates this, as well as their removal.
instead of parameters in config files, Symfony 4 will be using environment variables like Laravel
Bootstrapping
As usual, we'll assume you're already running a healthy VM environment like Homestead Improved so you can follow along.
Okay, let's get our hands dirty with an example app. All Symfony apps can now be started from the bare bones super-minimal Symfony Skeleton app:
composer create-project symfony/skeleton flexy
Notice the created directory structure.
In /public, we no longer have app.php and app_dev.php, only the index.php file. The type of the environment (test / dev / prod) is now dictated with environment variables, and reads the configuration from the /config folder.
Notice how the end of the installation process mentions that make cache-warmup was called, and that you can run make serve. This is where the new Symfony uses the "controversial" Makefile approach mentioned above. This might change.
Out of the box, opening this skeleton in the browser will throw an error because no routes have been defined yet. Let's fix this.
index: path: / defaults: { _controller: 'App\Controller\DefaultController::index' }
config/routes.yaml
We'll need to create this controller and its index action:
<?php namespace App\Controller; use Symfony\Component\HttpFoundation\Response; class DefaultController { public function index() { return new Response('Hello'); } }
This will produce a simple Hello screen, like so:
Execution Permissions
If you try to install a binary like the Symfony/Console with composer req cli, you might run into the following problem:
~ bin/console -bash: bin/console: Permission denied
This is a known hiccup when using virtual machines, and can be easily fixed by either:
running the console with php bin/console instead of running it directly, or
adding the "execute" permission to the file on the host machine (not from within the virtual machine), by executing: chmod +x bin/console. This will allow the direct execution of bin/console from within the VM then.

casa day 1
after 2 full days of orientation, i have finally experienced my first real day as an inpatient therapist [shadowing]
when chart reviewing:
- look at the orders!
- make sure to check their vitals
- be sure to check of requirements like stockings, weight bearing, sequential boots, etc.
pt 1: TKA- we did a shower + dressing
- things to note: the lady was pretty much supervision/modified independent for everything; take 3 towels + 2 wash cloths, help them with back (since it’s not on the FIM), help with feet if can’t reach and during next session go over how to use the long handled reacher to wash feet and other things, keep a wheelchair in the bathroom so there’s somewhere to sit and get dressed (preferably next to the grab bar and right but the tub bench, bridge the wet space between the shower to the wheelchair), can start taking note of the treatment in the room at the end of the session, it’s good to ask what they’re interested in doing, ALWAYS must wear non slip socks or shoes
- be mindful of their wrist bands! and if you think they are ready to move to a different color, notify the nurse and talk to their PTs
*at the end of this patient, a rapid response was called. i fear this would happen while i’m there but i have to accept that this sort of thing can happen in hospitals
pt 2: metabolic encephalopathy- initial eval
- first, introduce self, let them know you’ll be back after a quick chart review; check to see if there is a wheelchair in the room and check one out and bring in case based on needs
- if you’re the first discipline evaling, must add the medical history for the Rehab Admin which could be found in the prescreen under Transcribed and Scanned (hard copies can be found in the black trays)
- bring a blood pressure monitor!
- go thru all the FIM items; we did UB and LB dressing + toileting + toilet transfer
- if there are no precautions, its okay to keep pushing through the pain; this was particularly scary for me because the poor man was crying out in a lot of pain; but talk to nurse about getting more medications for pain
- saw my first bed side commode use. squat pivot transferred from bed to commode x2, needed assist to have person in back pulling down diaper all the way into toilet, allow them to do their thing with privacy, get wipes + soap to wipe, discard, get diaper put on while they are sitting if max assist and pull up with pants
pt 3: acute stroke; hemi on R side
- more tips: good to get their leisure + goals they have in mind or what they want to return to so you can keep those in mind when treating
- lady arrived crying because she was really sad about her progress; S did a great job of telling her that based on her progress already, she’s going to recover really well; S did a great job of making sure that all the activities were “just right” so that she wouldn’t get discouraged- either grading or moving on from an activity
- initially worked on just stretching hand and arm- noticed that she was using tenodesis to open and close hand so did full finger/wrist extension in order to help activate those muscles and loosen them up
- worked on standing balance, having her always work on staying in alignment and using cues such as having her push INTO therapist hands because she had a tendency to fall backwards; toes over their in order to palpate how they are balancing; once can get good static standing with the pushing, can have them try moving the arms or bending down (always think function! in this case it was to work on LB dressing or toileting or feeding dogs) and also maintaining midline even through weight shifting with arms (clapping). also working on increasing awareness of neglected side, bringing hands to midline at clap
- main thing was to work on weightshifting towards the left because she had a tendency to fall towards the right
- tried working on tying up hair with hair clip- since there were difficulties with shoulder flexion (she tended to demo internal rotation and scapular abduction), affecting manual dexterity/fine motor control, it was important to stretch these parts out in order to have better ROM and prevent hiking; after should flexion + scapular adduction and upward rotation
- made a huge difference and she felt really relieved
- NOTE: “pt was working on dynamic standing balance in order to participate in caring for dog, LB dressing, toileting, sitting and standing. Pt demo’d inreased difficulty with maintaining trunk in midline. Pt initially required min verbal cues to maintain standing static and dynamic balance while utilizing BUEs. Pt has a tendency to shift to the L and posteriorly. Able to maintain in midline with facilitation for 4-5 min.”
pt 4: stroke with global aphasia so communication was very difficult
- worked on teaching efficient way to stand up from wheel chair and 2 exercises: knee straight, trunk rotation/shoulder depression, using mirror to facilitate with visual cues, also using mirror to hold onto top to keep back in extension, hip in neutral, and trunk in midline, worked on taking steps
- worked on alignment of trunk in order to decrease tone in right arm and to be able to actively engage in reaching up to participate in grooming activities etc..pt has tendency to rotate trunk to the left and flex trunk laterally to the right. required max vc and vis cues to remember steps of standing and correcting posture.
overall exciting and great day! i feel so thrilled to be a part of this
examples of good notes:
