What Have I Done? - Bakugou Katsuki
Bakugou x f!reader
Warnings: Angst, Physical injuries, cursing
Summary: An argument gone out of hand. Y/N just wanted Katsuki to be home more. They’re married and yet she barely sees him throughout the week. When she finally speaks on her hurt feelings, she gets a reaction she definitely wasn’t expecting.
Chapter 1 -> Chapter 2
A/N:.....I cried while writing this.
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
‘He’s gone already. Again. Like always.’
Y/N had awoken to another empty bed. Her husband’s side of the mattress remained cold and empty. This wasn’t anything new. It’s been like this for the past few months. She would wake up alone, eat breakfast alone, spend her day alone, eat dinner alone, and go back to sleep at the end of the day...alone.
It’s not that Katsuki is intentionally ignoring Y/N. He loves her with his everything, he truly does! But villains never rest and neither does he. He’s so preoccupied with hero work that when he does get a day off, his friends drag him away to a bar or game night. Y/N always ran through his head but she had always been so understanding. And besides, she knows how busy the life of a pro is. She used to be one so she gets it. Right?
Wrong. She doesn’t get it. Because even when she was a pro, her and Katsuki always found time for each other. And ever since said man made her quit, claiming he could take care of both of them easily and he would feel better knowing his beloved is safe at home, they’ve seen each other less and less. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. Y/N was willing to quit her dream because she found a new dream in Katsuki. She always imagined that being his little housewife would give them more time together but the opposite of that came true. Now she sits in the big empty house with no company for hours on end.
Her sadness builds up every day. She misses her husband. She tries to be an understanding wife but at this point, it’s like he’s not even trying to make an effort to see her. It’s like he’s settled to just coming home to her sleeping form and waking up to her in the exact same state, leaving before he can witness her do anything else. He should understand her though, no? I mean, she had brought it up to him in a very casual way and so he never took it seriously, but she’s mentioned it before. He should have a pretty vivid image of how shes been feeling. Right?
After 6 months of loneliness and being ‘Katsuki-deprived,’ Y/N made her move to speak to her husband about her feelings. She already imagined the outcome. An argument due to Katsuki’s brash behavior and her ‘never back down’ attitude, sad times bringing in the silent treatment for the two of you up until the both of you give in and forgive each other due to the love you have. Finally ending in a compromise. Y/N released a heavy breath as she looked at the time.
1:36 a.m. Just a few more minutes until Katsuki’s home.
He was pissed. 3 large scale bank robberies, 10 villain-wannabe fights, an argument with his publicist about his ‘out of line attitude,’ and Deku replacing him on a random ass billboard. The last detail wouldn’t have mattered if it was anybody else but the fact that it was Deku had him riled up. He just wanted to go home to a quiet house with his beautiful wife and admire her gorgeous, slumbering state. However that was not what he was greeted with.
Katsuki grumbled as he unlocked the front door and walked in. He noticed the lights were still on and saw Y/N still awake, seated on the couch. On any other day, he’d be elated to see his wife was still up. They’d talk and cuddle and go to sleep together. If he was lucky, they’d both make love until the sun rose. But tonight, that wouldn’t be happening. He wanted a quiet house with his sleeping wife. Not..whatever was about to happen. He sighed as he dropped his bag at the front door and sloppily placed his keys in the glass bowl near the door.
“What’re you doing up dumbass?” He asked as he walked to the kitchen, not even bothering to take off his shoes. He needed a drink.
“I was waiting for you, Katsuki. I just wanted to talk to you about something,” you said in a soft voice, hoping it would suppress his for sure incoming anger. Katsuki closed the fridge with a kick to the heavy door and chugged down a quarter of his drink.
“I’m not in the mood. Had a shitty day and I wanna sleep. Just go to bed.” He said sternly while trying to finish his beer as fast as he could.
“Don’t you think I would’ve done that hours ago? I wouldn’t have stayed up and waited for you if this wasn’t important. Please Katsuki, I really wanna talk.” Bakugou was beginning to grow annoyed. Why wouldn’t you just drop it already? He squeezed his bottle hard enough for it too crack before he spoke with a louder voice.
“Y/N! You’re not listening! I’m tired. I had a horrible day and I just want to sleep. I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to stay up anymore, and I don’t want to listen to whatever bullshit you’re about to complain and bitch about like you always do!” He screamed. His words made your jaw drop.
“Not listening?! That’s all I do! All I do is listen to your every command so that you come home happy-“
“Well it looks like you failed today!” He said, cutting you off.
“Quit interrupting! And what was it that you said?! All I do is bitch and complain?! I’m trying to talk to you about something serious here Katsuki!” You pleaded, still hoping he would give in and listen. And he did...just not in the way you’d expect.
“Fine then! If this’ll get you to quit being an annoying ass waste of time, then speak! Talk! What the hell do you want?!” He asked, screaming at you, furious at all the dramatics you’ve brought up in one night.
His words kind of stung. ‘Annoying ass? Waste of time? Is this what he thinks I am?’ You grew silent at his insults and Katsuki seethed even more.
“Oh what? I scream at you and you bitch up? Toughen up Y/N, jeez. Quit acting like a baby! Tell me what you wanted to say!” He yelled.
“.......I just....I just wanted you to spend some time with me. .....Be home more.” You said in a quiet and broken voice. You looked down to the now very interesting floor as you played with your hands.
“Seriously? This shit again? I’m a pro-hero, Y/N! I’m busy! I’m not gonna drop saving lives just because your brat ass wants someone to notice you! Since when were you such an attention whore?” He asked while rolling his neck to relieve his strained muscles. Your eyes widen at the ground due to his words and your head snapped back up to face him.
“A-attention whore? I-...I just want my husband to stop working so much. I don’t know..maybe have a day off or two!” She said with a crinkled nose as you screamed.
“I do have days off, Moron. It’s why I’m not overworked, ever thought about that?!” He screamed back.
“And you spend those days off away from me! I’m not trying to act like the world revolves around me but I would hope my own husband would spend a day with me instead of his friends that he ALWAYS sees because you ALL WORK TOGETHER!” You argued. You made a valid point and even Katsuki knew that, but he was too stubborn to admit defeat. He was still tired but he had enough energy to put you back in your place. His eyes popped as a vein grew on his neck.
“Well- WELL YOU’RE ONCE AGAIN JUST BITCHING AND COMPLAINING LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO! I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU’RE SO UPSET!” He screamed.
“Don’t understand?! You know what? I know you don’t because you never listen to-“
“SHUT THE FUCK UP, I WASNT DONE TALKING! ALL YOU DO IS SIT AROUND THE HOUSE, LAZING AROUND, DOING NOTHING BUT TRY TO ARGUE WITH-“
“LAZING AROUND?!” You shouted in disbelief. “WHO MAKES YOUR MEAL PREP THE NIGHT BEFORE SO YOU CAN ENJOY IT AT WORK AND IN THE MORNING? WHO CLEANS THE ENTIRE HOUSE EVERYDAY WHILE YOU’RE GONE? WHO MAKES SURE YOU HAVE A FULL FRIDGE, CLEAN HOUSE, GOOD FOOD, AND A HAPPY LIFE? ME KATSUKI! ME!”
“Happy life? DO I LOOK HAPPY TO YOU BITCH?! NEWSFLASH, IM NOT! SO CONGRATS Y/N! YOU FAILED ONCE AGAIN! AND WHO GIVES A FUCK IF YOU PLAY MAID WHILE IM AWAY?! IM BUSY SAVING THE FUCKING WORLD! THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS BE A GOOD WIFE SINCE YOU CANT EVEN BE A FUCKING PRO ANYMORE!” He insulted again.
“because of FUCKING YOU!” You argued once more.
“I DID IT FOR YOU!” He said while throwing his bottle to the wall, causing it to shatter. “I DO EVERYTHING FOR YOUR UNGRATEFUL BITCH ASS! I PAY THE BILLS! I BRING HOME THE CASH! I GIVE YOU THE MONEY TO BUY ALL THE FUCKING FOOD, CLOTHES, AND ANY OTHER STUPID SHIT YOU WANT! AND ON TOP OF THAT, I STUFF YOUR STUPID CUNT TO PLEASURE YOUR UNGRATEFUL ASS. AT THIS POINT, YOU’RE JUST A WALKING HOLE FOR ME TO USE!”
His words hurt. They broke your heart. Did he really feel this way? If so, why was he even with you anymore. You notice a smirk grow on his face at your bewildered state. He looked as if he just won something. However, the smirk dropped into a scowl once he saw your eyes begin to pool with tears.
“Oh great! Cry! Go ahead! Just shed your fucking tears like you always do! I’m going to bed! Come join me when you’re done being an annoying bitch.” He said and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he began to walk away. You didn’t want the conversation to go this way and there was no conclusion. You needed this to be resolved now. You just wanted your husband back. You reached out to stop him from walking but the unforeseen happened.
“Katsuki..don’t walk away from thi-“
“DONT FUCKING TOUCH ME!” He said and smacked your arms away with a burning palm. Without realizing, Katsuki began to spark his quirk and so when he went in to push you away, he burned your forearm.
A loud blast and smoke filled the room and your screams of pain invaded his ears. The sound made a shocked face grow on him as he quickly turned to see the damaged he had caused. His heart sank as he saw you crying while holding your burnt arm with your other hand. You were slightly hunched over in pain as you took notice of the damage that had been caused. That he caused.
“Y/N!” Bakugou softly shouted as he ran to you. He wanted to help but before he could even lay a finger on you, you flinched. The action caused him to hesitate and hold himself back. He ran to the kitchen sink to get a cold rag and he brought it back to you. “Baby! I am so sor-“
You pushed him away and off of you as you quickly walked to your bedroom with a shadow casted over your eyes. Tears still flowed down your cheeks as sniffles could be heard from your cherry red nose. Katsuki couldn’t believe what he just did and ran to follow you.
“Y/N! Please listen! I didn’t mean it! I don’t know how that happened Teddy Bear but I swear I didn’t mean it! I swear I didn’t mean any of the bullshit I said! I’m sor-“
*SLAM* *click!*
Katsuki realized he followed you out the kitchen, through the living room, up the stairs, and to the entrance of the master bedroom you both shared before you slammed the door and locked it right in his face.
“Baby! Please open the door!” He said while knocking in a very rushed manner. He wanted nothing more than to help you and treat the damage he caused to his beloved wife. He had royally fucked up. He began turning and jiggling the locked knob in an attempt to get it open but failed. “Please Y/N! I have to take care of you and that burn. I’m so sorry but please let me in!”
On the other side of the door, you pressed your back against it as you held in your sobs and slid to the bottom. You pulled both lips in to conceal your voice while you held your wrist to examine the burn on your arm. It was so bad. Your skin turned an angry shade of red as it blistered and bled. You were dripping blood all over your carpeted floor and so you ran to the master bathroom in the bed room.
You turned on the sink and placed your forearm under the cold, running water. The water soothed it a bit but it wasn’t enough to cover the pain. You turned off the sink and grabbed a hand rag as you patted down on your wound. You took out the first aid kit and cared for yourself. You had to take the alcohol to clean it and sucked in a breath before you poured the solution over the burn. You screamed as it seemed to have hurt 10x more. After dabbing cotton over it, you wrapped it in bandages and took a breath of relief.
‘What just happened?’ You thought to yourself.
The entire time, Katsuki was still begging for you to open up. He heard your scream and grew frantic. He banged on the door and cried for you, still hoping, praying, that you would let him in. When nothing happened, he resorted back to calling out for you but to no avail.
About an hour went by and it was almost 4 in the morning. You sat on the bed with your arms holding your knees to your chest. You stared at the wrap as the memories of what went down tonight flashed through your brain.
‘Waste of time...brat ass...attention whore...ungrateful...annoying bitch.’
His words struck you right in your heart. Cruel thoughts began to fill your head.
‘He doesn’t love me. He hates me. I’m worthless.’ Your thoughts would’ve continued until a quiet knock snapped you out of you mind.
“....Y/N?...Baby?” It was Katsuki of course, but a softer version of him. A broken one. “..I don’t know if you’re listening or if you’re awake..but I need you to know that I’m so so sorry.” It was easy to hear his muffled and staggered voice that exposed his tears and sobs. “If I could turn back time right now, I would do tonight all over again, I swear. I would’ve came home and listened to you. And we could’ve talked things out. We would’ve came out of this problem being a stronger couple than we were before...because that’s what we always do. We always make it out of the dark together..because we’re a team..and I need you. .....Please...please don’t leave me Y/N. I love you so much. ‘M so sorry that I hurt you..that I burned you..that I’m such a terrible husband. But I promise you I’ll fix everything in the morning...................Teddy Bear?”
He didn’t know it, but you were listening. You heard every word but refrained from speaking. You knew that the second you did, you’d break down and go crawling back to him....but you didn’t want to do that. You wanted to leave. He physically burned you and you wanted to leave. You were going to sleep for a few hours, and when you would awaken, you would pack a bag and leave. And so, you began your plan and tried to get some sleep as tear streaks marked your face. It would all be over soon.
You woke up to the morning sun.
6:50 a.m.
You rose out of bed and rubbed at your puffy eyes. You quietly got ready in the bathroom and applied the slightest bit of makeup to look more presentable. You took out a pair of shoes and tossed them to the center of the room. You were in your closet and pulled out a bag. You stuffed it full of a few clothes for you to wear, you couldn’t stay here. Not after what he did. You fought through the pain as you pulled on your jacket and placed your shoes on. You wiped your tears as you picked up your purse and got ready to leave. You were going to stay in a hotel. Didnt matter where or how expensive. You just needed to get away.
Finally, you walked to the exit of the bedroom. You took a breath before you slowly turned the knob and was greeted with the sight of a sleeping Bakugou. He had slept in the hallway in front of the bedroom, still wearing the same clothes from the night before. His knees were scrunched up with his arms resting there to be used as a pillow. He layed his head atop of his arms and as you looked down into his hands, you saw the rag. The exact rag from the argument. The rag that he attempted to use to help you. Little did you know, Bakugou hadn’t planned on getting rid of it until you let him use it to help you. He wanted nothing more than to fix his mistake and cater to you and your wound.
You shook your head as you felt tears began to fill your eyes but you refused to let them fall. You took a step and sadly awoken the exact man you were trying to avoid. Bakugou had quickly woken up when he heard the slightest noise and was blessed with the beauty that is you. He looked up at you with wide eyes and a small smile.
“Y/N...” was what he whispered before he quickly got up to run to you.
“Y/N!” He ecstatically said with a hint of relief. He was about to wrap him arms around you but you kept a hand at his chest to keep him at bay. “Baby?...”
Bakugou looked at you with hurt and confused eyes when you didn’t welcome his embrace. Even when you were mad at him, you still allowed him to hold you so what gives? He looked at you and your attire. He noticed your jacket and shoes and saw you holding a bag. “W-what are you doing?”
You walked away from him but he snatched your wrist to make you turn to face him. “Y/N! What’s going on?!” He frantically asked with crazed eyes. You snatched your wrist back and ran down the stairs and he copied your actions. He followed you into the living room until he grabbed your wrist once more. You tried to pull away again but found it harder because this time, he gripped it tight.
“W-where are you going baby?”
“Dont call me that.”
“What? Why? Baby, please tell me what’s going on.” He begged as he squeezed your wrist.
“What’s going on? Are you serious? What does it look like? I’m leaving!” Bakugou’s eyes went wide once more and shook his head.
“N-no! No, why!?”
“Why?! Look at my arm!” You screamed.
“I know! I know and I’m so sorry! But..but you don’t have to go! I can fix you up, I’ll take you to recovery girl, I will bring you to the best hospitals around the world to fix that for you! Just please don’t go!” He bargained and offered everything but you weren’t budging.
“It’s not just the burn Bakugou.” You deadpanned with a nonchalant face. His heart felt heavy after hearing your voice refer to him with his family name.
“..I-it’s Katsuki! Your Katsuki! It’s Suki, baby please!” Bakugou stepped closer as he cried once more but you backed away again. His hold on your wrist still strong as his fingers played with the ring on your hand, trying to calm himself down and remind himself that you are still his wife.
You shook your head at his pleading. “Bakugou. You burned me. But not only that, you’ve neglected me for months.”
“I know that! And I’m sorry! I will spend just as much time off of work to make it up to you, I swear I will, I promise!” He once again bargained.
“It’s too late.”
“No it’s not, please, it can’t be!”
“It is Bakugou-“
“KATSUKI! ....please...please don’t call me that. I’m your Katsuki,” he said with a whimpering voice. At this point you felt the tears come through, but you still didn’t allow them to fall.
“Katsuki...I can’t stay here. Too much damage has been done.” You said with a soft voice. Bakugou continued to shake his head ‘no,’ but you already made up your mind. You used your wind quirk in your hand and blew his grip off your wrist. You took the quick opportunity to walk to the door but Bakugou grabbed your bag off your shoulder in a childish panic and attempt to get you to stay.
“Hey!-“
“Please Y-Y/N! Please don’t leave me! I- I know I’ve been a terrible husband! I’m sorry! B-But I promise I’ll do better. I’ll stay at home more, I’ll spend more time with you, Please!”
“Katsu-“
“I’ll buy you whatever you want! I’ll get you all the expensive brands, I’ll find you all the best jewelry, I’ll give you all the money in the world! I’ll give you the whole world! Please stay! I love you so much Y/N!”
“Katsuki, give me back my bag,” you tried to reach for it but Bakugou kept it away from you and pulled you in with one arm and held you in a tight embrace as he cried on your shoulder.
“Please...you can’t do this to me. I need you. I love you! I’ll do better! I’ll be a better husband, I swear..just please don’t go.” He softly spoke with a broken voice and soft hiccups. It was wrong for you to do this, but you sighed and pretended to forgive him as you wrapped your arms around his torso. You hugged him tight and he fell for it as he openly sobbed now. His other arm that held your bag came to wrap around your waist but before it could, you snatched the bag out of his hold and pushed him away. You ran to the door and held a tight grip on the knob as you picked up your car keys. You saw Katsuki attempt to run back to you but you created a strong barrier of wind to protect you. “IM SORRY Y/N! PLEASE DONT!”
You took off your ring and tossed it to him through the barrier. He was quick to catch it and hold it right in fear of losing it. He had to find a way to get it back on your finger. “No..baby...Teddy Bear please!”
“....I’ll send you the divorce papers....Goodbye Katsuki.”
With that, you walked out of the door, still keeping the barrier alive. Once you started the car, you dispersed of the wind and Bakugou opened the door and ran to your car.
“Y/N wait! Please!” He cried out but he was too late. You pulled out of the driveway and drove off quickly down the street. He watched your car go as he began hyperventilating and tugging at his ash blonde locks. He ran back inside the house with your ring in hand as he looked for his phone. He found it on the kitchen island and quickly dialed your number. Of course, it went straight to voicemail but that didn’t stop him from calling about 50x more.
“This-...this has to be some stupid dream. A fucking nightmare...” he said as he tried to hide in denial. “Yeah...a nightmare. This is what it is...I’ll..I’ll wake up soon and she’ll be by my side in the morning...sleeping peacefully...and I’ll take the whole week off and spend it with her. She won’t be mad, we’ll be happy like we always are. S-She won’t leave me.”
Bakugou had an insane smile on his face with eyes of distraught on him. He clumsily made his way back to his bedroom where he flopped onto the large mattress and tried to get some sleep. He would sleep the whole day away if it meant you’d still be by his side when he woke up. The ring you abandoned was held tight in the palm of his hand as he held it close to his chest. His sobs overcame him but did aid in his journey to slumber. Eventually, he knocked out and a smile of bliss adorned his face as he assumed you would still be there in the morning.....oh how wrong he was.
The very next day, he woke up at 5:30 like he always did and quickly looked to your side of the bed. It was cold and empty. He was lonely. The exact same feeling you got everytime you woke up without seeing him for the past 6 months.
6 months. You’ve been married for 4 years and together for 8. Out of those 8 years, Bakugou spent 6 months neglecting you..and now...he lost you.
He stared at the empty space and bawled his eyes out like a baby as he screamed. He got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. Maybe you were cooking breakfast! You weren’t. Kitchen was empty. He ran to the living room! Maybe you were just watching some TV and reading a book, looking all cute and domesticated like you usually did. No, you weren’t there either. Bakugou checked every room in the house and when he couldn’t find you..he snapped.
His heart beated at a rapid pace as he trashed the entire house. Breaking windows, flipping desks, smashing furniture. He used his quirk to create blasts and burn marks into the walls and floors of the house. He did everything to get his frustrations out. The entire time he shouted and cried as rivers of tears flowed down his cheeks.
When he was done, he sat in the middle of the destroyed living room, laying his back against the flipped couch. He sat with his knees scrunched up as he hunched over, staring at the ground. His nose and eyes and basically his entire face grew puffy and red. His hair was a mess and so was he. Silent tears continued to drop, but his throat was too dry and hurt far too much for him to make anymore noise. However, he did fight through the pain to say one final thing:
“What have I done?”
A/N: hi cubsss! So a lot of you may know that my very first post, writing piece, and short story (He’s Lost) was created around angst, a breakup, and the fact that the triggering point was Bakugou physically hurting Y/N. I’ve been thinking about it and I HATE MY WRITING IN THE FIRST POST! It was terrible! Why tf did y’all like it so much?😭 And so, I’ve created a new piece revolving around the same elements, sorta as a way to check my progress. I hope you enjoyed!
ALSO!!! If you guys like this enough, I’m willing to turn it into a small yandere short story if you Cubs are down for that. Let me know and I’ll make it happen! Love you Cubs! See you next time🧸💗

“but I thought about how I needed to say this”
a.k.a. yet another meta dissection of The Apology. I actually wrote most of this up on Friday night based on the original Japanese (@pikahlua has an excellent translation up here, and I also used @hanashimas’ translations as a reference as well), but I wanted to wait until the official release, though that turned out to be a mixed bag to say the least lol.
I would also recommend reading @pikahlua and @class1akids’ breakdowns of this scene (here and here, respectively), because they are excellent, and because if any scene deserves to have as many meta breakdowns written about it as possible, it’s this one.
anyway so here goes.
Tumblr media
Caleb did a more accurate job with this than the fanscan, even if he did try his best to take us out of the seriousness of the moment by throwing in that swiss cheese line lol. anyway so there are two things I want to talk about here. the first is the line about Izuku not remembering, which I thought was a nice touch. of course he doesn’t remember what Kacchan said back then. he wasn’t exactly in the soundest emotional state after seeing one of the people he cares about most taking a near-fatal blow that was meant for him. I’d be shocked if he remembers anything about the aftermath (including the way he flew into a mindless rage afterwards) right up until the point when he entered the OFA Interstellar Party Void with Tomura. anyway, so I thought that was a nice callback.
and speaking of emotional states, the other thing I wanted to talk about is the part that Caleb got right which the fan scanlation didn’t. “but I had more to say.” in other words, “stop trying to win on your own” wasn’t just a one-liner; it was meant to be the beginning of a much longer speech. “there were other things that I needed to say.”
like, can we just stop and talk about that for a second. because basically what this means is that in that instant, when Kacchan pushed Deku out of the way and got impaled, his one and only thought was that he needed to apologize to Deku. his life was presumably flashing before his eyes, he had no idea if he was going to survive or not, and the only thing on his mind was how urgently he needed to make things right with his former childhood friend.
moving on!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so I have a confession to make, which is that I am relieved to see Katsuki describing this as the reason why he bullied Deku, as opposed to Horikoshi trying to retcon it into some sort of “secretly he was just trying to protect him and keep him out of harm’s way because he was worried” thing, which ngl would not have gelled very well with me. the thing is that I’m really not a fan of the whole “Kacchan Did Nothing Wrong” mentality that some fans seem to have. like, I have seen all sorts of convoluted attempts to find excuses for Katsuki’s shitty behavior, but in my view those attempts undermine what I love about his character in the first place. Katsuki is such a great character specifically because he is not perfect. his redemption arc is so compelling because he was such a giant asshole at the start. he was completely at fault, and he acknowledges this, and takes full responsibility for it. and that is fucking fantastic.
his arc is so great because it doesn’t rely on garnering sympathy by giving him a Tragic Past, or by trying to foist the blame for his behavior over on someone else. it’s an arc that acknowledges that redemption isn’t something you achieve by making people feel sorry for you; it’s something you have to earn by actively working to change and do better. and by forgoing the “misunderstood/tragic past” route, Horikoshi is making a statement that anyone can go down the wrong path, but that more importantly, anyone can also choose at any time to turn away from said path. there is only one requirement for doing so, and that is realizing that you’ve done wrong, and deciding that you want to change.
anyway, so in chapter 284 Kacchan of course had that whole speech about Deku not taking himself into account, and mentioned how that made him want to keep his distance. and a good chunk of fandom took this to mean that Katsuki’s bullying was actually a misguided response to Deku’s reckless tendencies -- sort of an “if I show him how weak and powerless he really is, I can get him to accept the reality that he’s quirkless, and that being a hero will just get him hurt or killed” type of thing. and I won’t lie, for a good while I was wondering myself if Horikoshi was really going to go down that route. and like I said, I am honestly relieved that he didn’t. not only for the reasons stated in the previous paragraph, but also because the message that would have sent -- that there are certain circumstances in which bullying can almost be excused because the bully had Good Intentions and was just trying to save the other person from themselves, and so it Wasn’t That Bad, Actually -- is all kinds of fucked up to say the least. so yeah, I’m glad we ended up steering well clear of that.
(ETA: this post was long enough already so I edited out the 3 additional paragraphs I originally wrote analyzing the dialogue from 284. but just to be clear, I’m not trying to imply that Kacchan worrying about Deku’s recklessness is a retconned thing that Horikoshi only threw into the story recently, because there are multiple instances throughout the story where he clearly is worried and in total denial of it. but I firmly believe those feelings are not what led to the bullying. they’re two separate things. Kacchan worrying about Deku is what prompts him to yell at him in chapter 1 when Deku comes to save him. but it’s not what incited him to burn his notebook and taunt him earlier in that same chapter. that action had a much meaner and more selfish motivation behind it, and I’m glad Horikoshi didn’t try to change it up last minute, because it wouldn’t have felt right.)
thankfully as of this chapter I think we can safely cross that out as a possibility, as we’re given the true explanation straight from Katsuki himself. and the truth is that he bullied Deku out of insecurity and jealousy and fear and intolerance. there was nothing noble about it. there were no good intentions concealed in his actions. there are no justifications given, no excuses offered, and no mitigating circumstances to be considered, other than the fact (which neither he nor Horikoshi bring up) that he was and is still a child, and that children make mistakes.
it’s an explanation that challenges many of fandom’s ideas on who is and isn’t eligible to be redeemed. there is no Ozai in Katsuki’s backstory. there’s no great tragedy that he spent a lifetime trying to rise above. the only villain in Katsuki’s story is Katsuki himself. the only darkness that he has to overcome is his own. and it’s challenging, because I think many people believe the only way someone can be redeemed for doing bad things is if bad things happen to them in return. but what Horikoshi is saying here is that that’s not the case. bad doesn’t erase bad. and the one and only way to truly earn redemption is by doing good.
and that’s what makes this such a phenomenal scene for me. by not shying away from Katsuki’s flaws and failings, and having him take full responsibility for them, Horikoshi keeps the apology from being self-serving, and underscores the true depth of Katsuki’s character development. the level of self-awareness he has here is something most people can only dream of. which is very fitting, as that’s perhaps the most important takeaway from his character arc -- that it’s only by acknowledging your own weaknesses and flaws that you can learn to overcome them and reach your full potential.
one last thing to point out here, which is that in the panel where Katsuki finally acknowledges his terrible treatment of Deku, Deku is not even visible. instead, Horikoshi drew the panel from a perspective that makes it appear that Katsuki is addressing this particular line not just to Deku, but to all of his classmates.
Tumblr media
again, he shows him taking full responsibility and admitting his wrongdoings in front of the people whose opinions and approval he cares about most. and just to clarify in case there’s any confusion from Caleb’s translation, Kacchan’s wording makes it very clear that he wasn’t just “mean” to Deku, but that he full-on bullied him (he uses the same verb -- “ijimeru” (苛める) -- that he did back in chapter 284). there’s no attempt to downplay his actions here.
Tumblr media
moving on now, this chapter also reaffirmed another thing about Deku and Kacchan’s relationship which I was glad to see revisited -- Kacchan’s unwavering belief in Deku’s ability. this is one of those paradoxical things about their relationship which I’ve always been fascinated by, but which is also kind of hard to explain, because I don’t want it to come off like I’m trying to put a positive spin on something which was unequivocally awful. like, please don’t think I’m trying to say that Katsuki’s bullying of Deku was in any way a good thing. but that being said, there’s also a strange irony at play here, which is that Katsuki’s jealousy and insecurity also betray the fact that even at his very worst, he never once underestimated Deku. he has always believed in Deku’s strength, even when that strength pissed him off and made him afraid and uneasy.
no one else -- not All Might, or even Deku’s own mom -- believed from the get-go that Deku could become a hero. but Katsuki never once counted him out, even when he was calling him a pebble in his shoe. he confesses here that even though he “tried to act superior by rejecting [Deku]”, in truth he was never able to shake the feeling that Deku was above him. long before he ever understood the concept of “win to save”, he knew instinctively that there was a strength in Deku’s heart that couldn’t be measured, and which had the potential to surpass even his own strength. and I’ve always felt that this was so important, because it’s the one aspect of their early relationship that hinted that on some level, however subconscious, Katsuki held the same type of faith in Deku that Deku always held in him. it was one of the few things that hinted at there being a possible path towards reconciliation one day. and it paved the way for the most important shift in their relationship to date, when Katsuki finally realized who Deku got his quirk from, and responded not with resentment or spite, but with acceptance.
moving on, I also really love the way we see them portrayed at the different stages of their childhood throughout this speech, and how it perfectly lines up with the dialogue. from small children (when Katsuki talks about his insecurities first manifesting), to middle schoolers (when he talks about the bullying), to high schoolers (when he talks about the past year and everything he’s learned at U.A.). Horikoshi really didn’t have to go that hard, but he did, and that’s why we love him.
and then we finally get to That Part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
where do I even start with this there are so many things omg.
the bow. this is the one and only time Katsuki has ever bowed to anyone of his own volition as far as I recall. and this absolutely is a bow, just to be clear, even though his form is straight-up garbage (very Kacchan-esque, with his feet and arms spaced apart because he’s still a punk after all). this is Kacchan showing more humility and respect than he’s ever shown to anyone else in his entire life.
regarding “Izuku”, I actually have mixed feelings about this to tell the truth. I think it was a good call here because it was incredibly effective in setting the tone and showing just how serious Kacchan is. however if he continues to use “Izuku” rather than “Deku” from here on out, that would give the impression in hindsight that all his past usage of “Deku” really was meant as an insult, which would undermine some of my favorite scenes. I would really like to believe that since DvK2 or thereabouts, Kacchan has (mostly) been using “Deku (affectionate)” rather than “Deku (useless loser)”, lol. but if he switches to the “nicer” name on a permanent basis following his apology, it implies that the previous nickname was indeed being used cruelly. and so honestly I hope this was just a one-time thing, because I do think that in Katsuki’s mind, the name “Deku” hasn’t been meant as a slight to him for a long time now.
“my truth/this is what I truly feel” -- the word Katsuki uses in Japanese is honne (本音), and if you’re familiar with the concept of honne/tatemae, that’s the same “honne” he’s talking about here. it means that he’s casting aside all of his walls and facades and expressing what he truly feels. and of course, one of the fascinating things about Katsuki’s character is that he’s the exact opposite of most people in that he chooses to put his meanness on full display to the public, and ironically it’s the kindest parts of himself which he tends to keep the most carefully guarded and hidden away. this also means that while his rage and anger are very often insincere and put on just for show, those relatively few occasions where he lets his humanity truly shine through are pretty much 100% genuine, as is the case with this one here.
and Deku’s face says it all when it comes to how powerful those moments can be as a result.
Tumblr media
and this, right here, is why it wasn’t enough for Katsuki to atone solely through his actions, and why he needed to actually say the words as well. it’s not that the words are more important; obviously the actions are far and away the most important part, and carry far more meaning. but the reason why Katsuki needed to say the words as well is simply because Izuku needed to hear them. needed to, and deserved to, because this is one of the most important people in the world to him.
and so he deserves to know that the relationship isn’t just one-sided, and that he is just as important to Kacchan as Kacchan is to him. he deserves to know that Kacchan understands how horribly he treated him, and that he’s sorry for it. and he deserves to know that Kacchan, without any expectation of it changing their relationship -- meaning that he will continue to feel this way regardless of what Izuku says or does from here on out -- cares about him. now more than ever, with AFO out there doing everything in his power to make Izuku feel as alone as possible, this is something that he really, really needed to hear.
Tumblr media
so this part has some interesting wordplay which neither Caleb’s translation nor the fan scanlation was really able to get across. basically, in the Japanese version, when Katsuki talks about “those ideals”, Horikoshi uses the kanji for “ideal”, but pronounces it as “All Might.” obviously the meaning of this isn’t too hard to decipher, as we all know how much both boys admire All Might. to them, he absolutely is synonymous with the Ideal. so this is a way of showing that respect they both have towards him, even as Katsuki goes on to point out the one fatal flaw that All Might was never able to overcome.
and speaking of interesting wording, as others have noted, at this point in his speech Katsuki switches from “temee” (which he was using earlier during the “your strengths and my weaknesses” part) to “omae” (“omae” being a less insulting word for “you”, though still very manly and tough-sounding), which is definitely a big deal. though fwiw this is not the first time he’s used “omae” for Deku (he switches to it briefly right after DvK2, when he tells Deku “you had the strongest guy lay the groundwork for you -- don’t lose”, and then later when they’re walking back to the dorms and he says he’ll learn and get stronger by watching everyone around him just like Deku did). it’s definitely a good choice on Horikoshi’s part though, as it makes this last part of the speech sound more earnest and sincere.
Tumblr media
just a quick note, he does indeed use a plural pronoun here, as in “the obstacles that you can’t overcome, we will overcome.” but as @pikahlua pointed out, the “we” here is ambiguous -- it could either mean “we” as in class 1-A -- “we will overcome them for you” -- OR it could mean “we” as in all of them -- class 1-A and Deku. “we will overcome them together.” idk about you, but I know which one gets my vote.
anyway, and so this is the line that finally wins Deku over and allows him to let go of his fears, however briefly. what I love about this is Kacchan’s utter conviction. one thing that Caleb’s translation doesn’t quite get across is Kacchan’s use of the word morenaku -- “without exception” -- when he talks about how they’re going to save everyone and win. it echoes that same sentiment he showed back during the Joint Training arc -- that it’s not a perfect victory unless they save everyone. every last person. and he explicitly lists Deku among their number, just so there can be no doubt.
and Deku’s response to this (or at least his thoughts, since he’s not really able to get many words out) pretty much brings everything full circle here.
Tumblr media
he acknowledges that everyone else has gotten ahead of him. which is especially meaningful given who he’s standing directly across from. because for most of the series, as we all well know, it’s been Kacchan who was woefully lagging behind Deku in the character growth department. but now Deku himself is acknowledging that not only has Kacchan finally caught up at last, but that he and the others have surpassed him. which is only temporary, I should add, as I have zero doubt that Deku will catch up again soon. but the fact remains that just as Deku’s rapid increase in strength and skill left Kacchan scrambling to keep up earlier in the series, Kacchan’s extraordinary character development has now left Deku in that same position. as All Might once put it, “when he’s starting at level one, and you’re already at level 50, it’s only natural that you’ll be growing at different rates.”
and what’s so wonderful about this though is that the two of them are finally approaching that point where they’ve both caught up to each other and are finally starting to level out. Deku is a full-on badass, and Kacchan is out here talk-no-jutsuing with the best of them. the two of them have been chasing and chasing after each other this entire time, and now they’re finally just about ready to meet in the middle at long last, with each of them fully embodying both of those two crucial aspects -- win, and save.
just about. because Deku still needs some help catching up. but seeing as help has already been offered -- and accepted -- I can’t imagine it will be very long now, and I can’t wait to see him finally overcoming those fears and doubts with his friends by his side. it’s going to be such a powerful moment.
and last but not least,
Tumblr media
or, as I prefer,
Tumblr media
you had one job, Caleb. flkjsdlk.
but at least this provides a good opportunity to note that unlike the “we’ll help you handle it” line earlier in the speech, here the phrasing is left up to interpretation, as he doesn’t use a pronoun. so it could be “we know”, or, as the fan scanlation put it, “I know.” or it could be both. regardless, it’s good stuff.
anyway, and so Deku passes out, and in the process Horikoshi gives us one last parting metaphor, just in case anyone still thinks Kacchan is all talk because they haven’t been paying attention for the past 322 chapters (more likely than you think). once again, Katsuki’s actions speak louder than his words (even his nice words) ever could: he is literally there to catch Deku when he falls.
so that’s it! my sincere thanks to anyone who actually read through all of my endless ramblings about this scene which I have been waiting for since day one. props to Horikoshi for taking on an impossibly difficult task, and pulling it off with all of the emotion and care and nuance that I’ve come to expect from his writing. imo he delivered on every single level with the exception of the aftermath, which I don’t consider to have actually happened yet. Deku’s part of this is definitely a “to be continued.” but yeah, as far as Kacchan’s part goes, 10/10. so fucking proud of this kid.

May i request for the Noncon starter sentence with “I’m not doing this because I hate you, I do it because I love you.” with Shoto or Deku ?
Shoto/Darling: "I'm not doing this because I hate you, I do it because I love you."
Shoto hadn't ever felt love this intensely before. He loved his siblings, his mother, his friends, even his father; with ____ though, the love he felt was different. At some point he realized that whenever they smiled at him, his heart would race. When they looked at him his chest would tighten. Maybe this was what Mt. Lady had meant during that interview practice years ago, and ____ had a smile that could kill him. With how nice it felt when he was with them though, he wouldn't mind dying that way.
He didn't know how to tell them about these feelings, or even if he should. What if they didn't understand and they thought he was weird? They might start avoiding him. What if he messed up when he was confessing and didn't explain it right? He didn't even know how to explain to himself. Instead of telling them and risking their friendship being ruined, he decided that he'd just love them from afar until he knew how to confess to them just right.
It had started out small: catching glimpses at their phone messages, just to make sure they weren't texting anyone suspicious. Then he started asking them where they were all the time, and following them around when they were with other people--just so he can protect them in case something happens and make sure their other friends are on the level. When he couldn't watch over them, he'd make up for their absence by going into their apartment and imagining they're with him. Sometimes he'd take small little things for him to keep, like a little cut piece of their clothes or a tube of lip balm that tasted just like them.
As time went on, Shoto started to get more and more worried for them whenever they weren't with him. He couldn't concentrate on anything else and his coworkers would notice him staring off and looking concerned more often. It didn't help that his home felt so empty at night, and he'd find himself dreaming that they were sleeping in bed next to him--only for him to wake up disappointed and empty in the morning. He couldn't stand not seeing them without getting a lingering sense of worry in the back of his mind and a pit in his stomach. He had to keep ____ with him, keep them safe and protected where nobody could hurt them: no Villains, no Hero-killing Vigilantes, no vengeful older siblings that may go after them. Just him, ____, and...maybe a new member of the family at some point. His father always was pestering him about finding someone to settle down with and continue the family lineage--not that he cared much about his dad's wishes, but he didn't hate this particular one.
And after weeks and weeks of planning, setting up his apartment to become their apartment, he nervously texted them and asked if they could come over.
To: ____
____, I need to talk to you about something that's been on my mind. I can't say it over the phone, it needs to be face-to-face.
He'd gotten a response a few minutes later: "Are you okay, Shoto? I can be there in about 15 minutes." He quickly set a timer on his phone and walked through the apartment, making sure he had everything set up. His cue cards were in pocket for when he confessed his love for them, he had a few outfits "borrowed" from their closet to wear while he moved the rest of their things into his apartment, and...on the off chance that they reacted poorly, he had a pair of Quirk-cancelling cuffs in his back pocket to use if he needed to calm them down.
He ran a few fingers through his hair and nervously waited in the living room until he heard a knock at the front door. "Shoto?" ____'s voice was laced with concern. "I'm here. You okay?"
Shoto hurried to the door and opened it, and he tried to calm his rapid heartbeat; there was no way they could hear it thumping in his chest, right? "I'm...okay," he said uncertainly, closing (and locking) the door behind ____. "I didn't mean to worry you. I just need to talk to you about something. It's important."
____ sat down on the couch and looked up at him, still confused. "Oh. Okay," they replied. "You're sure you're alright? You look kind of pale."
Shoto sat next to them on the couch and fumbled for the cue cards in his pocket. He hoped he wouldn't mess this up. "Um...____." He cleared his throat. "We've known each other for a long time, and I can't say just how much you've made me happy ever since we met. I've never felt this way about anyone before, and even though these feelings are strange and new and even suffocating sometimes, I don't want them to go away." He glanced up at ____ to gauge their reaction. "I don't want you to go away."
____ tilted their head slightly and tried to peer at the cue cards with a small smile on their face. "So...this is what you wanted to tell me? That you...um, you like me like that?"
Shoto shook his head and took their hand. "Not just that," he insisted. "It's more. I love you." He saw ____'s smile grow a bit and he stared at them for a moment, so relieved by their reaction. They weren't mad at all. What was he so worried about? He set the cue cards aside and looked directly at them. "Sometimes I'll think about you and it just makes me feel so...nice. And, um...warm. I feel so grateful that you're in my life, and whenever you're not with me I get so worried about you. Sometimes I feel like I have to push down how bad it feels just to go to work, sleep, and eat without you with me."
"Worried?" Shoto's heart sank a bit when he saw them frown. Had he messed up? "Shoto, I appreciate the concern and..." ____ glanced away shyly as their lips turned up into a small smile again. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't have feelings for you too, but I can take care of myself just fine. You don't need to be so concerned about it that you don't want to eat or sleep or anything!"
"But I do," Shoto insisted, taking their hand. "We're both Heroes, and you know how easy it is for something to happen before you have time to react. What if the building you're in collapses while you're on duty? Or a Villain targets you? Or you go out of your way to save a civilian in danger and you get yourself hurt or...or killed?" He squeezed ____'s hand and more and more words just started to spill out of him. "I don't want anyone else I care about to get hurt, especially you. Just the thought of that happening makes me feel so...so--"
"Shoto," ____ said, their voice wavering slightly. They'd never heard him talk or act like this before. "Breathe for a second, okay? I'm right here."
Shoto took a shaky breath and rubbed his thumb over the back of their hand. "Sorry. I know, I don't have to worry about that anymore since you're here with me." He looked at them and inched closer to them. "I'll keep you safe," he said firmly. "And as happy as possible. I promise."
____ waited a few seconds before trying to take their hand back. They didn't mind Shoto being affectionate, but he'd been touching them for a while; that odd little rant about how much he worried about them wasn't helping, either. "Uh...Shoto," ____ said, breaking the silence. "I like you and I'd be happy to date you, but...please don't worry so much about me when I'm not with you." They laughed awkwardly. "It's not like we can be together 24/7 even if we're dating, right?"
Shoto blinked at them silently. They liked him back, they'd just said it! They said they wanted to date him! But what did they mean with that last sentence? Were they joking or were they being serious? "Why?"
"Huh?"
"Why couldn't we be together 24/7 if we were dating? I mean...I guess we wouldn't be able to be together while I'm at work, but I don't mind that since I know that you'll be here when I get home."
____ furrowed their brows. "What are you talking about? I don't live here, I've got my own--"
"I was going to call the movers after this," Shoto said bluntly. "It'll take a few days to bring everything here, but--"
____ pulled their hand away from him, and the suspicious and frightened look on their face left a pit in his stomach. "What the hell, Shoto? I'm not leaving my apartment. You just confessed to me less than a minute ago!" They glanced at the front door nervously, noticing that Shoto had locked and chained it. "I think I should go."
The instant they tried to get up off of the couch, Shoto's body seemed to just react on its own; he pinned them down and, desperate for any reason to make them want to stay, he pressed his lips against theirs in a kiss. ____'s scream was muffled against his mouth and he tried his hardest to keep them still. When he pulled away, he tried to explain and apologize and say...something. This was the worst way this could've gone. "I--"
"Get the fuck OFF me!"
____ kicked and flailed underneath him, but a career spent subduing criminals meant he knew just how to keep them underneath him. Shoto reached inside his back pocket for the Quirk-cancelling cuffs and expertly latched them around ____'s wrists in one stroke of his hand. ____ started to scream for help, but Shoto clamped a hand over his mouth and frantically tried to think of a way to get them to calm down. "____, please," he sighed. "I'm not mad, I promise. I'm not doing this because I hate you, I'm doing it because I love you. I won't hurt you, I promise, just please calm down." He looked down at them and wished that they didn't have tears in their eyes and that they weren't glaring at him like this. Their chest heaved as they panted and struggled underneath him; the hem of their shirt rode up to their stomach, and as Shoto looked at their smooth skin his eyes widened a bit. "H-here, I'll show you how much I love you."
He looked around for something to gag them with so he could use both of his hands freely, and he finally settled on an old tie that he'd planned on returning to the store he'd bought it from. Once he'd managed to tie it around ____'s mouth, he kissed their cheek and moved their shirt up to reveal their chest. They let out a choked sob as his lips wandered lower and lower: their neck, their collarbone, the valley of their chest, and then their stomach.
His fingers fumbled with the button of their jeans for a moment before pulling them down, and he stared in awe at them in their underwear. Even if they were tied up and bound, even if they were crying and trying to turn away from him, they still looked so pretty.
He leaned down and left one more kiss against their clothed slit. God, they were so warm and soft. Even through their clothes, he could feel the heat coming from them. He felt them twitch underneath his lips and heard them let out a small whine as he teased and kissed their most sensitive place, no longer having the energy to fight back as he spread their legs apart and pulled their underwear down.
He massaged the inside of their thighs and looked back up at them. "See? I'm not going to hurt you," he assured. "I just want to show you how much I love you, and then you'll understand." He nuzzled one of their thighs and leaned in to taste them directly, finally making all of his late-night dreams come true. "Let me show you."

BNHA Aladdin AU Part 2: Alliances
MASTERLIST
Inko's POV
The bazaar was rowdier than the last time Inko had seen it.
She couldn't be certain, but as she waltzed through the vendor-filled streets of the bazaar Inko was almost certain the extra commotion was due to Toshinori and his children.
She didn't blame them for stealing. After all, in a world where your financial status determined the hand you were dealt, people like Toshi could only fend for themselves by resorting to petty crimes.
Perhaps that was why Inko chose to sneak out of the palace that day: to seek out the one person she knew wouldn't turn her away.
The hard part was actually finding Toshinori.
With so much street-cred to the blond's name, one would have thought Toshinori would be easy to spot. However, after an hour of wandering the streets of the bazaar, it was safe to say that he was nowhere to be seen.
Which led Inko to Plan B: find the children.
"You're the boy who troubles young Shoto during training!"
The skinny green-haired boy hidden in the blind spot of an apple vendor was quick to yelp and scuttle away at the mere mention of Captain Todoroki's youngest, making Inko tentatively raise her arms in a gesture that showed she meant no harm.
"And who are you?"
She didn't quite appreciate the boy's hostility, but Inko couldn't help but feel relieved that he chose to trust her enough to stay.
"I- I am a friend of Toshinori's. I was hoping to see him."
The young boy remained silent for a moment, genuinely contemplating the woman before him and looking her over to ensure she wasn't deceiving him.
Inko wasn't certain what it was, but somehow the green-haired boy seemed to find whatever it was he was looking for and trusted her enough to agree.
"Alright, I will take you to him."
"Thank you- um?"
The boy turned away as she spoke, beginning to lead them in the direction of a side alley she hadn't noticed before even as he replied.
"Izuku. But my friends call me Deku."
"Isn't that a rude name for supposed friends to use?"
Izuku began to nervously play with his loose strands at her question, taking a quick turn to the right to enter an alley with wooden sticks sticking out from one wall.
"They're not exactly the normal kind of friends."
It took her a moment, but Inko eventually got used to ducking and shuffling around the sticks and successfully followed Izuku to the other side, which was thankfully void of any obstacles.
"Is that why you trouble young Shoto? You want him to be your friend?"
Izuku hummed as if he was contemplating her question, but as always was quick to reply.
"You could say that."
Inko remained silent for a bit after that, studying the boy before her.
He was just like Toshinori had described the children to be: people who were shunned from the world just because they were different or had a low financial status.
Izuku was exactly the kind of person Inko strived to help during her reign over Agrabah, however, with the way things were going back at the palace, she was certain the likelihood of her becoming queen was slim and quickly decreasing.
Perhaps that was why as Izuku came to a stop before an alley blocked with a torn old cloth, Inko felt inclined to help Toshinori's people as much as she could, even if it was with something simple like a new friend.
"Well, the next time you see him, ask about the royal teacher, it'll get him talking."
Izuku visibly perked up at her words, finally turning away from the path before him to meet the princess's gaze properly for the first time.
"Thank you!"
"I-"
Izuku reached out for her arm, tugging Inko back right before she could enter their makeshift home.
"Since you gave me advice let me give you some of my own. Stay away from Kacchan. He doesn't like newcomers."
"Thank you, Izuku. You are a very sweet boy."
The boy in question began to once again nervously play with his hair as he muttered a small thanks and backed away, making Inko chuckle and turn away before Izuku became a nervous wreck.
Inko genuinely appreciated the advice the green-haired boy gave her, however, what she hadn't expected was to encounter the one known as Kacchan so soon.
A loud yell echoed around her as Inko made her way through the alley leading to a small old building.
The noise drew a yelp from her, making Inko spin in a circle and assess her surroundings, only stopping when her sights set on a young blond boy who seemingly fell from the sky.
"Who are you?"
A large stick with a sharpened end was pointed her way, the sight making Inko more puzzled than terrified as she titled her head to the side to try and get a look of the short blond boy on the other end.
"I am Inko. I presume you are Kacchan?"
She had tried pushing the stick to the side as she spoke, yet Kacchan knocked it right back into place, this time with the tip closer to her face.
"Huh? When did you meet that stupid Deku?"
Inko couldn't help but feel annoyed at the way he chose to refer to the kind boy she had just encountered but chose to refrain from saying anything that would further agitate the blond.
"Right before you, actually. I am looking for Toshinori."
Kacchan seemed to get even more riled up at the mention of Toshinori's name, this time choosing to jab his stick right where Inko's chin and neck met.
"You could fool Deku but you can't fool Katsuki! That fine silk you're wearing certainly isn't the kind of thing a person associated with Toshi would wear."
"We met at the palace."
A scoff was thrown her way as Katsuki pressed his spear in deeper, but even so, Inko chose not to move.
This was a test, and one wrong move would end horribly for her.
"When you imprisoned him?"
"When I helped him escape."
Katsuki continued to remain sceptical for a moment, however, the fact that a palace goer even knew about Toshinori meant that person had to have met him during his brief imprisonment, which he had miraculously gotten out of.
As much as Katsuki hated to admit it, the woman's story held more merit than he liked.
"Fine. But one wrong move and I'll rip you apart!"
"No."
"But Toshi!"
Toshinori couldn't help but smile at the sound of his nickname, especially when it was Inko who was saying it, but he still stood his ground.
"Sheltering the children is one thing but opposing the Sultan is another."
Inko sighed at his reasoning, repeating what she had been saying for the past ten minutes since Katsuki dropped her off at Toshinori's room.
"We're not opposing him, we're talking to him."
The skinny blond seemed less convinced the more she talked, making Inko feel as if she was fighting a losing battle.
"Why can't you do it on your own? After all, you are his daughter."
Inko let out a frustrated sigh at his reasoning but chose to continue pressing on.
"Because he will take me more seriously knowing our people share the same ideals as me!"
He turned away as he spoke, attempting to look at anything but the princess standing in the middle of his room who certainly didn't belong there.
"No one will take you more seriously with a street rat by your side."
"Don't say that-"
Inko reached forward as she spoke, clutching onto Toshinori's elbow and turning him to face her again.
"-you're not a street rat to me."
Toshinori wanted to say no, really, he did. After his arrest, the best thing to do was not draw attention to himself for a bit, not waltz into the palace with the princess by his side and speak to the Sultan.
But even if he knew what his answer should have been, Toshinori couldn't help but settle on the answer he wanted.
"Fine. But we do this my way."
Inko's grin once again returned at his words, making the blond feel just a little bit better about his decision.
His relief, however, was short-lived as Inko spoke once again.
"Great! We can discuss your plans tomorrow at the palace."
"Tomorrow?!"
Inko didn't bother giving him a reply, only answering once her foot was out the door and she was all but ready to leave.
"Don't be late!"
As the princess left the back streets of Agrabah's bazaar to once again return to her palace, Toshinori couldn't help but wonder what exactly he had gotten himself into.
And whether it would be worth it.

CW// bkdk/ panick attack/ death/ anxiety/ blood/ self harming/ depression
I look at myself through the mirror, I look at my scars and the freckles on the tan skin, I look at my eyes and the tears falling one by one until they reach the floor.
I listen to the sound of my heart and my cracked sobs, the water running in the shower and the loud music in my cell phone.
I feel the cold floor under my feet and the cold on my bare skin, my dirty skin, my bloody skin.
I look at my hands, all the scars in the same place, the dirt still there, full of blood. I remember having cleaned my hands, but the blood never let go of my hands. I look in the mirror again and my body is crimson, dirty, guilty.
I hear the sound of the water running, I hear my breath, I hear my sobs, I hear screams, I hear cries, I hear people screaming at me to save them, I see hope in my eyes and I see blood splashing in my face.
I feel my legs giving up, I feel my heart rise my throat, I feel my head heavy, I feel my eyes hazed, I feel my mouth dry, I feel my skin in fire, I feel my body in water, I feel-
"Oi, Deku, you've been an hour there, get your ass out"
Kacchan?
"I-I" I can't speak, I can't breathe, I can't stand up, I can't move, I can't save, I can't be useful, I can't be a hero, I can't be pardoned. Why am I still here? Why am I still trying?
"Deku"
Deku...
Hero Deku is here!!!, He will save us
HERE, HELP, I CAN'T MOVE
DEKU!!!, HELP MY SON, HE IS THERE
DEKU
DEKU
DEKU!!!!
DEK-AAAAAHHH
"DEKU, OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR"
"sorry"
I couldn't save you.
"sorry"
I couldn't move faster enough.
"sorry"
I couldn't use any quirk.
"sorry"
I couldn't reach your hands.
"sorry"
I couldn't be enough.
I'm not enough.
∆∆∆
The water is boiling with a couple of chamomile flowers from our garden, a light soup already warm on the table, bandages and a first aid kit ready to take care of  my husband.
Everything's ready, except that fucker. I know him, him and his dumb brain that overthink everything, and that reckless mind of him that always makes me feel like I'm about to die.
The tea is ready, I'll put it in his favorite cup, it's a teamed one of us, when we did that comercial to a coffee company, we looked badass as fuck together.
I wanted to take a shower together, but the damn nerd said he needed time alone, but it's enough time to cuddle and relax the shit out of him.
"Oi, Deku, you've been an hour there, get your ass out"
Silence, I lean my ear against the door, only hearing the loud music inside.
"Deku"
Silence again... No, sobs, he is crying.
"Deku, please, open the door" The sobs are louder and he's breathing really fast.
"Deku, listen to my voice, I'm here" Shit, he is having a panic attack. And I can't open the fucking door.
"DEKU" fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
"DEKU, OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR"
"sorry"
What?
"sorry"
Why this shit don't give up whit my fucking explosions?
"sorry"
I need reach him.
"sorry"
I need save him.
"sorry"
I need him here.
Where the fuck are the shitty keys?
No in the drawer.
No in the kitchen.
No in the key holder.
FUCK
I can't explode the fucking door, it can hit him, I can't explode the doorknob, the same shit. Fuck everything.
The mother fucker has to melt under my fucking hands.
It's fucking slow, I'm sweating, but that's good.
"I'm coming baby!"
The damn shit gave up. Fucking finally.
"Izu-STOP '' I take his hands trying to stop him from hurting himself even more. He is in the floor naked, burying his nails on his arms, his torso has fresh scratches and his face is looking down, hi's under a panick attack, fuck. "Izuku, baby, i'm here" I need a fucking cold towel, but I can't let him "Hey, baby, look at me, please" fuckfuckfuck "Izuku" I hug him, caressing his curls "Izuku, listen my voice please, I need you breathing slower" fuck, I try to reach the damn towel on the wall... Yes, I got it, now I need cold water.
∆∆∆
Bakugo put a towel full of cold water on Midoriya's nape, making the curled man gasp.
"Izuku, baby, hear me" the blond caress the green curls with one hand, and the other arm holding the bare freckled body "Please breath with me" Midoriya feel his lungs about to explode, he shake his head, breath hurts "No, don't gimme that, breath whit me, in" Bakugo inhale air and hold for a couple of seconds "And out" then exhale the air " Do it with me, in... and out, yes, like that, again"
For a while they just still like that, Bakugo caressing the green curls of the man sitting in his lap, and Midoriya cuddles in Bakugo's chest until Midoriya holds himself.
"Do you wanna talk?" The crimson eyed asked caressing the wet cheek. Midoriya shook his head, he was really tired. Bakugo pressed his lips together in a line holding his husband closer "You know that I love you, right?" Midoriya nod his head "And you are loved" Bakugo kiss his head "And you're amazing" he kiss his forehead "And I need you" he kiss his cheek "And you are the most wonderful human being that I have meet" he lift the green haired chin, trying to look at that green beautiful eyes only founding pain and guilt in the dark eyes.
"I'm sorry" Midoriya said tears falling of his freckled cheeks "I'm so sorry"
"Why?"
"I-I couldn't" his voice cracks. "I heard them, they were relieved a-and then" he feel fall again, covering his eyes with his hands trying to continue, but he hear the voices again, the screaming, the fear. A warm hand caress circles on his back after to take off the wet towel on his nape, encouraging the green haired "I couldn't do anything" Midoriya said in a broken whisper "I HAD to save them" his hands lifting in his hair and pulling of it "But I was useless, I kill the-"
"No" Bakugo said in a soft voice, that one only used when he tried to comfort him "You didn't" the blond held the hands on the green hair and kiss his knuckles, relaxing the hands and kissing them again. Midoriya retracts his hands looking with fear at the crimson eyes.
"I did Katsuki, I used black whip to hold the structure, but I was week and I couldn't keep the thing still, I kill them I FUCKING KILL THEM" his voice sound broken and full of hate, because he hate himself for not being enough "THEY WERE RELIEVED TO SEE ME AND THEN I KILL THEM, THERE WERE KIDS, GOD" Bakugo was surprised, this is really huge.
The freckled look at his hands, bloody again, dirty, disgusting.
"Izuku'' the blond hold his face with both hands, squishing the freckled cheeks "Hear me now, you didn't kill anyone, this is our work, sometimes we can't save everybody, sometimes we fail, sometimes there are hands that we can't reach, and that it's not our fault, okay?" The green haired look at his husband smiling, god, the most broken smile.
"If I can't be useful at least in this, then why am I here?" Crimson eyes wide in shock.
'Da fuck?
"Hey, what the fuck was that shit?" Bakugo stand up, holding the man in his arms and sitting him in the tub of his shower opening the warm water. Yes he knows that that is not the right way to full the tub, but yeah, fuck it.
"Listen to me fucking asshole" the blond said furious, but rubbing gently the green head whit the cucumber shampoo "You are a fucking human, piece of shit" gently clean the soap in the green eyes, and continuing rubbing the green curls.
"You value as a human doesn't have anything to do whit a stupid "use", stupid" he take the sponge and put on it liquid soap of orange and rub gently whit so much care the frackled face.
"It's about love idiot" he take off the soap again of his eyes "And ya love whit all your heart, you love like a stupid" he start to clean the scratched and sore arms and torso, the muscles legs and the rough feet.
"And you was the fucker that tough me that" Midoriya feel his chest warm, the way Kacchan touch him like he was something precious is priceless.
"And that is one of the million fucking things why I love you like a stupid" he washed the soap on the tan skin, caressing the beautiful skin, ful of constellation and thunders, he isn't soft, no, his body is rough and hard, but is warm and safe, being held for that scared hands feels like heaven, feel that beautiful skin against  his feels like home, almost like he was a child again, when he and his husband only mattered, no the world, no the heroes, no the civilians, only them.
"I'm sorry" Midoriya said, with tears in his eyes again "But I don't know what else to do" his wet hands reach his face "I feel that I need to do something" his body tremble under the crimson sight "I-I feel that love it's not enough" a sob broke into his lips "My love couldn't save anyone" and suddenly he feel dirty again, he feel the world on his shoulders and the pain in his chest.
"Now I'm fucking offended" Midoriya look at the crimson eyes whit confusion.
"Why?" The blond sighs, takes out his clothes and enters the tub with his husband splashing water out of the shower. His chest against the scared back and his chin on the green curls.
"Well, because you love saved me" he say hugging the muscle body "Me, the white hair child, the little asshole, All Might..." He pause to kiss the nape before him and thighing his embrace "And more people, that is here being loved for another one thanks to you" Bakugo rest his forehead in the smaller's man shoulder "And you love is really warm, and makes me feel all this stupid and dumb" he whisper "But makes me feel that maybe, I'm not a completely asshole"
"You're not an asshole Kacchan" the freckled man answer with a tiny smile caressing the blond wet hair.
"That's what I'm talking about, I'm an asshole, but you just treat me like, like I'm wonderful and I deserve you love, and that makes me think that I'm doing something good enough to make you think that I deserve being loved for you"
"Hey, Kacchan, you deserve love" Midoriya says a little angry "And you are incredible and amazing, and I know you are rude, but you're kind too" Bakugo chuckles funny.
"Ya, shutup, I'm the one comforting, you just let me cuddle you and take my stupid love" The green haired man smile "Fine, so, I was saying, I'm an asshole, I was more than an asshole, but you save me and now I'm a better human than before" he lean his cheek against the another man "Save is reach the hands that you can reach, win is save the ones you reached whit a smile, and sometimes you don't need necessarily win"
"Hey, who are you? What did you do with my Kacchan?" Midoriya jokes caressing his husband's cheek.
"Shutup, I'm madure now Deku" Midoriya laugh soft, forgetting for a moment his problems "I know that is hard, and... We need help okay?, I... I know that I'm not enough to you"
"Hey, no, Kacc-"
"No, let me speak'' he sigh leaning his forehead against the another shoulder again, whispering soft and gently "I know Deku, I'm bad with words, all that I told you, I had written before, I planed to told you this to comfort you when we were taking the dinner, I... Know that I-I, well, shit"
"Kacchan, it's fine, you don't need-"
"Yes I need, you are a vocal person, you need to hear the things and I'm not good at that" he tight his embrace even more "I can't help you with that, even if I try, so that's why we must visit a psychologist" Midoriya widens his eyes.
"But I though..."
"Yes, and I was a shitty stupid, we can go together or separate, I want to know how to help you, I want to know how to carry with you the weight on yours shoulde-ers" A sobs broke his last word.
"Kacchan..." Midoriya turn his face to see the blond hair still in his wet shoulder.
"Don't look at me, it's embarrassing" Bakugo bury his face in the freckled skin, trying to hide his tears.
"Sorry" Midoriya say with tears in his eyes "I make you cry" Bakugo lift his face, looking at the tears on his husband's face.
"Nonononono, fuck, don't apologize" he doesn't care about his tears "Stop crying" he say still crying.
"I can't, see you crying makes me cry, I'm so sorry Kacchan"
"Aaaaaahhhh, fuck" Bakugo try to clean his tears and stop his sobs.
"It's fine Kacchan, you can cry"
"But I don't wanna see you cry, makes me fucking cry"
"Kacchan is a crybaby like me"
"Shut the fuck up" he hugs him again hiding his face in the curvature of his shoulder, sobbing in silence trying to hold himself, whereas Midoriya just let himself cry.
He remembers when they were children, one day playing in the little forest close to their houses, he fell, hurting his little hands and his knees, they were bleeding and looked worse than what they really were. He remembers crying so much, because really hurted, and remember seeing the crimson eyes staring at him, tears forming in his big eyes and falling on his childish cheeks.
"Kacchan, I'm bleeding, '' he said sobbing. Katsuki knelt down before his friend without knowing what to do, so he just hugged him. The little Midoriya could feel his shirt wet for his friend's tears"
"Don't die Deku" he said in a sob, scaring the little freckled"
"M going to die Kacchan?" Midoriya said crying harder"
"NO, you don't, I'm gonna carry you to a doctor to save you" the little Katsuki said trying to carry his friend, but his little arms couldn't whit the weight of his friend, making him cry harder, until a little hand tug his red shirt"
"It's fine Kacchan, let me here"
"NO, I DON'T WANT" in the end, they stayed together until the moon raised the sky and their parents found them cuddle in a tree with his cheeks wet"
Midoriya smiles before the memorie.
"You aren't going to let me alone, don't you?" Midoriya says with a smile.
"Never" Bakugo answer without hesitation.
"You're going to protect me, even if you don't know how, right?"
"Of fucking curse, I'm gonna learn how to help you" Midoriya smile whit watery eyes hearing his husband sobs against his skin.
"Fine, let's do this together"

Prompt: a fear/distrust quirk that makes them wary or their allies. It could affect multiple people and make them afraid or mistrustful of each other, making them uncoordinated or attack each other, or it affects 1 person and make them afraid or mistrustful of others, or everyone else is afraid or mistrustful of them (for the 1 person affected, aizawa & student(s) being afraid of him, izuku being afraid of others, or shinsou w/ either, would be nice, but any characters are good!)

hold your heart fast [read on AO3]
When the fight was over, Izuku bounced from rooftop to rooftop, scanning the ruined streets and pushing through the sting of smoke as he searched. He tried not to think about all the worst outcomes, but that was never Izuku’s strong suit.
As he landed on the flat roof of a library, Izuku spotted who he was looking for. The surface under his feet groaned as he leapt down, activating One for All so he could land safely.
He used too much power—under his feet, the ground cracked, but Izuku didn’t care. His gaze was locked on the head of bone-white hair he’d found from above. A little girl, stranded alone in the streets.
“Eri!” he called, and her head jerked. He watched her hair ripple with the movement.
Izuku was next to her in an instant. He couldn’t describe the relief that swept through him, like a breath of fresh air, and pulled down the mouth guard that he’d kept up against the smoke.
“Hey,” he said softly. “I’m glad you’re safe.”
Eri looked at him. For a second, she seemed relieved, and then suddenly her entire expression shifted. She stumbled a step back.
“De- Deku?”
His name sounded strange in her mouth. She didn’t say it like she usually did, the way Izuku treasured; when they were laughing together, she said Deku with the sound of bells in her voice, and when he was the only person who could comfort her after a nightmare, she said Deku like she was looking at a hero. He always kept those moments close to him. Aizawa-sensei had once said Eri felt safe around Izuku, and that was important.
Izuku crouched down and made himself smaller, less threatening. He offered Eri a smile.
“Hey, squirt,” he said. “I’m sorry we got separated earlier. But the villain—the villain’s gone, okay? I’m here to take you—”
He had to pause for a moment, thinking, and then finished, “—home.”
Izuku didn’t move, but Eri took a step back. Her eyes were wide.
“No, you’re not,” she whispered.
His heart began to pound. What did she mean? Maybe the villain attack had scared her too much, or something had happened when Izuku was forced to leave her. Izuku bit his lip.
“It’s alright,” he said. “It’s all over now.”
Izuku held out a gloved hand, hoping she’d take it.
Eri shook her head. “You’re going to take me somewhere dangerous,” she said.
His heart squeezed. Izuku wanted to scoop her up in his arms and just run, until he could find Aizawa-sensei or the police or anyone to help, because he didn’t understand what was wrong. But then he would hurt Eri, and he didn’t want to.
“What’s wrong? Eri?” He inched closer. “ Please come with me.”
When Izuku reached for her, Eri cried out. Izuku drew back.
“Don’t come any closer,” she shouted, and threw out her hand. Izuku glanced at her horn. If she was scared and activated her Quirk by accident, on instinct to protect herself…
He held up his hands. “Okay. Okay.” Think, Izuku. “What- what if I called Aizawa-sensei? You- you’ll listen to Aizawa-sensei, right?”
The response was immediate. She nodded, and Izuku sighed and thanked the heavens.
Aizawa-sensei picked up after the first ring.
“Midoriya?”
“Sensei!”
“Where are you?” Aizawa-sensei demanded. Izuku almost cried, even though Aizawa-sensei sounded kind of upset, because just hearing his voice made Izuku feel better. “Is Eri with you?”
“Eri’s with me. She’s—” he looked over and lowered his voice. “Something’s wrong. She’s… scared of me, or something. I don’t know. Please hurry.”
Izuku gave him a location, and then Aizawa-sensei was there in what seemed like both half a minute and eternity. While waiting, Izuku kept trying to talk to Eri and ask her what was wrong, but eventually Eri went completely silent and refused to speak to him.
In the distance, a figure in black cut through the shapes of the buildings. He was running.
“Sensei,” Izuku whispered, then burst to his feet and into a shout. “Sensei, here!”
“Midoriya!” Aizawa-sensei shouted first. “Eri!”
Eri didn’t look back. She went to Aizawa-sensei, barrelling into his legs and clinging tightly. Aizawa-sensei looked down, murmuring something quietly, and then took her hand.
It kind of hurt, to be honest.
“Sensei,” Izuku said, “sensei, I took down the villain, well, one of them, and then I came looking for Eri—”
Aizawa-sensei’s eyes flashed. For only a split second he activated Erasure, and Izuku felt One for All lash out and then die down as Izuku’s Quirk disappeared. Then Aizawa-sensei frowned, shaking his head, and rubbed his temples.
“You…” he started, but he didn’t say anything else.
“Please,” Izuku said, “not- not you, too.”
Aizawa-sensei looked conflicted. He activated Erasure again like he wasn’t even aware he was using it.
“You’re my teacher,” Izuku tried. “You- all those times, you saved me, I don’t know what’s wrong but I promise—”
Aizawa-sensei pushed Eri behind him. Like he was protecting her, shielding her from a threat.
Not just a threat. Izuku.
The air was knocked out of his lungs. He gasped, trying to get it back, head spinning.
Eri was scared of him. Refused to go with him, and now Aizawa-sensei… Izuku didn’t get it. He didn’t get it at all.
“You know me,” he pressed.
Something seemed to click in Aizawa-sensei’s gaze. He stood straighter, lifting his head and expression smoothing over into something that was more neutral.
“Follow me,” he said, voice clipped, and that was that.
Eri wouldn’t stop peeking at him as Aizawa-sensei carried her to safety. When their eyes met, she would go back to hiding against him, cradled in Aizawa-sensei’s arms.
Aizawa-sensei took them to where there was already a makeshift medic section set up on the sidewalk. There were plenty of civilians there, and a few heroes, too, but Aizawa-sensei walked with confidence.
“Here,” he said, and waved down a medic. “My student. He’s bleeding.”
Izuku didn’t understand the change of tone, but he stepped forward, and the medic flinched.
“I can’t treat him,” the medic blurted. Her eyes flicked to Izuku and then away. “I’m sorry. I can’t.”
Aizawa-sensei’s face hardened, but he nodded.
“That’s alright,” he said after a moment, and Izuku looked down at his only injury, a cut on his arm from when he’d been a little careless. It wasn’t deep, though it did hurt. A pit formed in his stomach. He was being turned away, and Aizawa-sensei was allowing it.
“Sensei…”
“Just tell me something,” Aizawa-sensei said. “Are you scared?”
The medic paused. Swallowed.
“Yes,” she said finally, and Aizawa-sensei, who had one hand hanging by his side, clenched his fist. Izuku saw white knuckles.
“I see. Come on, Midoriya. I’ll treat you myself.”
They must have made a strange sight, sitting on the curb as the world moved around them. Aizawa-sensei carefully cleaned and began to bandage Izuku’s arm. His mouth was tight.
Behind him, Eri kept tugging on Aizawa-sensei’s sleeve.
“Let’s go home,” she would whisper. “Aizawa, please, I want to go home.”
And every time, Aizawa-sensei would say, “I know. I’m helping Deku.”
Patient, the way Mom was with Izuku when he was younger, and seemingly endless.
“You shouldn’t,” Eri said, so quietly Izuku almost missed it. But he didn’t.
“I have a theory,” Aizawa-sensei said suddenly, filling the negative space with his voice. “Concerning you, problem child. Something hasn’t made sense to me.”
For some reason that made Izuku laugh. “Nothing’s made sense to me.”
Aizawa-sensei nodded. “I think… the villain you were fighting. Supposedly she could manipulate emotions.” He tied off Izuku’s bandage. “But—it’s not quite that.”
“Wait,” Izuku said, mind whirring. He put his hand out; his fingers were trembling, too, held in the air. “Wait. When you asked—and—you’re scared of me?”
The corner of Aizawa-sensei’s mouth turned up. “I thought it wasn’t very logical,” he mused. He knocked the side of Izuku’s head. “Why am I scared of you?”
“But you’re helping me.”
“I live with fear,” Aizawa-sensei said, and before Izuku could figure out a response to that, he continued. “I’m scared of a lot of things. I’m just good at hiding it.”
“Oh,” Izuku said.
“And I’m more concerned about hurting you than you hurting me,” Aizawa-sensei admitted. “I’m always scared for you—not of you. It’s not your fault, I think. It’s a Quirk.”
Izuku felt his mouth tremble.
“You know you don’t have to be scared of me.” He caught Eri’s eye over Aizawa-sensei’s shoulder. “I’m not going to hurt you.”
Aizawa-sensei shuddered, but he nodded. Took Eri’s hand, and pulled her gently closer.
“I’m trying to tell myself that,” Aizawa-sensei responded, and held out his other hand. It was shaking; Izuku’s hand still was, too, but they bridged the distance past their fears. Izuku held his breath as Aizawa-sensei guided Eri’s fingers until they were just touching.
“It’s alright,” Izuku promised. Eri’s face was pale, but she didn’t let go. “Eri. I know you’re scared, but it’s still me. I’m still Deku.”
Holding her, the soft wash of Rewind healing him; her fingers closing around Mirio’s cape; carrying Eri to a brighter world where she would be safe from harm, and safe with Izuku.
“You’re safe with me. Alright?”
“Deku,” Eri repeated in a shaky voice. Izuku promised to save her. Over, and again. This time, she didn’t say Deku like she used to; but she didn’t say Deku quite like she was scared. Almost—hopeful. “Okay, Deku.”

Deku's villain counterpart showed up just over a week ago. Naturally, he was entrusted into the care of his hero counterpart. He could not be trusted although, it seemed as though he wanted to return to his own reality more than he wanted to create havoc in this one.
It was a quirk that brought him here. A quirk that could tear open a crack between realities. A crack that the villain Deku was pulled out of. Only, the villain that pulled him to this reality expected him to be the most powerful villain to live. Not a quirkless, trigger happy gangster. He was still a threat, sure, but without his quirk he wouldn't be able to do what was required of him. Not that he wanted to follow their orders anyway. In fact, when he couldn't force the villain who brought him here to send him back, he went off in search of this hero version of himself he had heard so much about.
He promised he would behave and, for the most part, he had. Although, he certainly loved to tease Bakugou and even made a few remarks about how he enjoyed seeing the two of them together. Funnily enough, it turned out that in this alternate reality which the villain Deku came from, there was some kind of forbidden romance between him and the hero Ground Zero. Obviously, Midoriya was a little more than annoyed to hear that he was a villain in this other reality but Bakugou was still a hero. Although, he was also relieved to hear that at the same time.
A week had passed and the heroes were close to finding a way to send him back to his own reality. Tonight would be his last spent with his hero self.
"You cannot be serious." Midoriya exclaimed.
His villain counterpart simply shrugged with a sly smirk, "You can't say you're not a least curious. I am you, you know. I know what you desire deep down. Even if a hero such as yourself would never admit to it."
"N-no. Kacchan wouldn't want it. I- I don't want it."
The villain raised an eyebrow, "You don't sound so sure."
"I- I am sure. I don't want to do that. I don't..." Midoriya sounded even more unsure the more he thought about it because, although a crazy idea, it was an intriguing one.
There was a sigh and the villain version of himself walked over to him with slow strides, "Come on hero. Surely I deserve a reward for playing nice and you know what, I think you deserve one for putting up with me this past week."
Midoriya sighed but, ultimately gave in with a subtle nod, "O-okay. But you can't hurt Kacchan and if he says he doesn't want to then we won't."
The villain grinned, "It's a deal."
It was already somewhat late and Bakugou was just getting out of the shower, wrapped only in a towel when the two Dekus approached him.
First, his boyfriend looked at him with a somewhat guilty expression and came in close to press a gentle kiss to his cheek.
"What's this about?" Bakugou asked, wondering what the two of them were planning.
The villain Deku approached as the other stepped back, pulling Bakugou into a kiss before speaking with a silky tone, "Don't worry about it Kacchan. Just let us take care of you."
The villain gently caressed his cheek before sliding his hand down completely and retracing it to gauge his reaction before going any further.
Both Dekus doubted that Bakugou would go along with this although the villain had more hope for it than the hero. They were both somewhat pleasantly surprised when Bakugou's confused face slowly nodded an okay.
He too was unsure about this but, although the other Deku was a villain, he was still Deku. He was still his boyfriend, just a different version of him and, if what he had said was really true, then they were still in some kind of relationship in his reality too.
The villain stepped back to allow the hero to approach again, gently easing Bakugou into this foreign feeling of having two pairs of the same eyes watching him hungrily. Midoriya pressed his soft lips against Bakugou's, mumbling a quiet 'Kacchan' against his lips as he pulled the towel from around his waist. They didn't break apart as Bakugou took the initiative and backed towards the bed, pulling Midoriya with him.
"Izuku, if he does one thing out of line I swear to fucking God-"
"I know, I know. It'll be alright. I won't let him hurt you. He won't do anything you don't want him to." Midoriya reassured him, knowing full well that Bakugou would deal with the villain himself if he stepped out of line but also that he would find comfort in his words nonetheless.
"Like I need to you protect me." Bakugou scoffed, although they both knew he didn't really mean his harsh words. His pride just wouldn't let him admit that hearing Midoriya say those words gave him any kind of comfort.
As soon as he finished, Bakugou pulled Midoriya to him, lacing his fingers in his hair as they kissed. They kissed for a while, almost forgetting about the other presence in the room until Midoriya began kissing down Bakugou's neck.
The villain was still standing there, clearly enjoying watching his other self and this reality's version of his own boyfriend as they continued to make out. He envied it. He wished that he and his own Kacchan could be like this, living together, holding one another whenever they wanted. In his reality, however, they were on opposite teams, destined to forever fight against each other. Not that it stopped them from meeting in secret to see each other out of the confinements of this hero society.
He watched each and every reaction his other self was pulling from Bakugou. His little groans, the way his fingers tightened on his hair as Midoriya nipped at his skin before taking his nipple into his mouth. All things his Bakugou did. This version of himself, the hero, was still him. Much like how the Kacchan before him was still the Kacchan he loved back at home. Different circumstances that lead to different outcomes for each of them but overall they were still the same people.
After a moment,  he began to grow impatient and, with a tap, pulled the hero off of him with a smirk.
"My turn."
Midoriya seemed hesitant once again but soon shook it to the side and allowed his other self to take over as he climbed over Bakugou.
"You seriously better behave yourself." Bakugou grumbled, trying to state his authority.
The slight glare he held in his eyes was quickly snapped away when a finger harshly entered him.
"I don't think you understand how this is going to go, Kacchan. We're the one's in charge here so you better do as you're told. If you behave, maybe we'll treat you with the most mind-blowing sex you've ever had." The villain stated, slipping another finger inside as he started pumping.
Bakugou's face scrunched up but it was clear he was feeling it from the look of his stiffening cock.
"F- Fuck. Don't go in dry- Shit." He whined, letting out a sigh of relief when the fingers came out of him.
The green eyes above him only glowed darkly at him before he shoved his fingers into his mouth, "Well then, you better be a good boy and suck then."
Once again, Bakugou glared at this almost unrecognisable version of his boyfriend. Midoriya was gentle, he was always so affectionate and gentle. This one, this villain was not. However, when the bed sunk slightly behind him and he found his head being pulled up onto Midoriya's lap by those comforting, gentle hands, his glare faded and he did as he was told.
As he began to choke on the fingers in his mouth, Midoriya soothed him by stroking his hands through his damp hair and whispered out words of praise, "You're doing great Kacchan. Just a little more, okay?"
He hummed against the fingers in his mouth, closing his eyes as he focused on wetting them enough for what was to come. A few more seconds and they were leaving his throat.
"There we go, nice and slippery." The villain announced before quickly shoving both digits back inside his ass.
He spared no time in stretching him out, scissoring his fingers inside as Bakugou came undone beneath him.
"Kacchan, are you okay?" Midoriya asked, voice full of concern as he drew his boyfriend's attention back to him.
"O- Of course I fucking am. I- It's just- agh -you." He moaned, back arching ever so slightly as the rough fingers inside him finally reached his prostate.
Midoriya smiled and leaned forward to lock lips with him once again, hoping to distract him from any pain he may be feeling lower down. When a third finger went in, he nearly bit down on Midoriya's tongue and had to quickly push him away to stop himself from doing so.
"Agh- Come- I'm going to come-" He choked out, back arching again as he neared his release.
That sweet release was quickly snatched from him, however, when a hand tightly wrapped around his erection, "No you're not. Not yet."
The villain continued to thrust his fingers in and out a few more times before pulling them out again, but he didn't once let go of the throbbing cock in his hand.
"What the fuck Deku?" Bakugou spat out, sitting up with a scowl.
"So we're back to that name are we?" The villain sighed, green eyes boring into the naked man before him.
Bakugou simply huffed and lied back down, knowing that this Deku was as stubborn as he was just from spending the past week with him.
The villain hummed for a moment, hand still tightly wrapped around Bakugou's cock as he decided what to do next. Midoriya was still focused on Bakugou, gently running his fingers through his hair as he soothed him once again.
"You have toys, right?"
The villain's words took both of them off guard but, before either Dekus could speak again, Bakugou answered, "Under the bed. In the black box."
Midoriya was surprised he told him straight away since he was still fussy about using toys when it was just the two of them and yet, here he was just blurting it out to this villain Deku as if he wanted him to get them. Then it dawned on him, maybe he did. Midoriya was usually the one having the toys used on him but occasionally Bakugou would let him use them on him too. This time, however, it seemed as though he needed them or at least, he needed something. Anything to earn him his release. It must hurt after all, that tight grip on such a sensitive area, the lack of ability to provide the sweet release he was so desperately craving.
"Look at you, who knew the great Ground Zero was such a little slut?"
Bakugou clenched his fist at his words but, although he was trying to act angry, the way his cock twitched said otherwise.
"Could you hold his hands, I don't want him touching himself while I rummage through what you've got in that box." The villain requested and, although unexpected, Midoriya quickly complied.
Bakugou looked up into his eyes as he held his wrists tightly, stopping him from doing what he had certainly been planning to do, and glared, "What the fuck Izuku?"
"Sorry Kacchan, just bear with it." His reassuring smile, although comforting, didn't help and Bakugou soon found himself pulling against him in hopes of releasing the pressure on his cock.
"I knew you two would have something fun under here." The villain announced, pulling a pile of things up onto the bed.
The first thing he did was fasten a cock ring around Bakugou's length to prevent him from getting the orgasm he so desperately needed.
"Get it the fuck off me, now!"
Midoriya simply shushed him, knowing that, should Bakugou really want them to stop, he knew what he needed to say. The two of them had a safe word and all he had to do was say it and all of this would be over. He knew that and yet, he settled for acting resistant when it was clear he was excited to see where this was going.
The villain Deku tutted with the shake of his head, green curls bouncing side to side, "What did I say about behaving? If you make this difficult for us we'll make this difficult for you."
Then, he picked up the next tool and chucked it up to Midoriya, "Tie him to the headboard would you?"
Midoriya picked the rope up and gave Bakugou one last gentle kiss before pulling his arms up and tying them above his head.
"Izuku-"
Another tender kiss met his lips before parting no more than an inch, "I know, just trust me."
He kissed him again and then climbed off of the bed to join his counterpart in sorting through the toys. The hero lied everything down neatly at the end of the bed, while the villain began fastening Bakugou's legs to the spread bar.
"There we go, nice and open. Look at all that precum, aren't you a little excited?" The villain teased, earning a smirk from his hero counterpart as he picked up their first instrument.
"Izuku..." Bakugou called out with an unusually quiet voice, drawing both of their attention to him as they worried whether he was really okay.
Midoriya quickly dropped the vibrator in his hand and climbed onto the bed, sitting just beside his boyfriend as his hand worriedly caressed his cheek, "Are you okay?"
Bakugou's expression seemed to soften for a moment before his face scrunched up again as he spat out, "Make sure he uses lube this time!"
"Don't worry Kacchan, I'm going to cover this thing in lube before I push it inside your pretty little hole." Villain Deku announced as he began coating the vibrator in that silky, see-through liquid.
Bakugou, once again felt his arousal stirring in his lower regions at the dirty talk. Izuku was never like this, he never spoke dirty or treated him roughly. He was always gentle and soothing. And yet, hearing those filthy words falling off of that tongue, his tongue, even it is wasn't really the same one, sent him over the edge in an entirely new way compared to the usual treatment he received.
Somehow, although he would never directly admit it, he was really enjoying this. If it ever got even a little rough between them, it was when he was on top. Izuku would squirm underneath him, hanging onto his shoulders for dear life as he pounded into him. Having the tables turned like this was an exciting experience Bakugou didn't know he needed until today.
Midoriya stayed sitting by his side, running his fingers delicately over his chest as they both awaited what was to come next. It was clear that the villain was going to be in charge of his lower regions for a while and so, Midoriya decided to tend to his upper half with his usual gentle gestures and touches.
"Here we go, all lubed up. Is your little twitching hole ready for something bigger?" Deku questioned with a smirk, his dark green eyes once again boring into Bakugou's skull.
When there was no answer, as if Bakugou expected to simply be given what he wanted without voicing it on his own, the villain sighed.
"It's not going in until you tell me you want it."
Bakugou snapped his head up and began to growl, "I'm not fucking begging."
Deku sighed and looked to his counterpart for help and so, the hero obliged. Bakugou's attention was drawn to the man next to him, the gentle Midoriya who's green eyes held a brightness the other's was missing.
"Can you tell us what you want? For me, please?"
Bakugou groaned and clenched his teeth, "Just- Hurry up and put it in."
That dark smirk returned, "Put what in, Kacchan? I need specifics, give me some details and maybe I'll grant your wish."
There was a few seconds of silence before Bakugou swallowed his pride and huffed, "I want you to ram the vibrator up my ass okay? Is that what you wanted to hear?"
"Such a fucking slut." The villain mocked before complying with his demands.
Bakugou sucked in a breath as his toes curled at the feeling of something so thick going in all at once, hitting his prostrate before even being turned on.
"You're doing great." Midoriya reassured as he punched his hair back and kissed his forehead tenderly.
When the vibrations began, clearly not on a merciful low setting, and Bakugou began to squirm, the villain unzipped his trousers and slipped a hand inside. As Bakugou grunted and groaned, the villain began pumping his own length. Midoriya was the first to notice since Bakugou was far to lost in the mix of pleasure and pain that was coursing through his body. However, when the villain began to groan out words of how sexy Bakugou looked right now, the latter scowled at him.
"F- Fuck off. S- Stop getting off on this." He stammered, eyes rolling back when he responded by simply turning the dial on the vibrator remote up.
Bakugou turned his head to Midoriya and pulled against the ropes that bound him to the bed, "Izuku. It- Fuck- It hurts."
Izuku ran his fingers through his hair, pressing a tender kiss to his forehead before rubbing the forming tears from Bakugou's eyes with his thumb.
"I know. You know what you have to say if you want us to stop." He spoke reassuringly, reminding Bakugou that this would all end the moment he uttered their safeword if he wished it so.
However, he just shook his head, "N- No. I'm fine. Just- let me come, please."
Midoriya's eyes softened and, while the villain continued to slowly tend to himself whilst watching Bakugou come completely undone by the vibrator, he took the cock ring off and Bakugou instantly came all over his stomach.
The villain tsked, "What did you do that for?"
Before he could get an answer, Midoriya also pulled the vibrator out but, rather than allowing Bakugou a moment to breathe, he replaced the toy with his tongue. Although, it didn't push inside him at first and just rimmed around the outside.
"I like your thinking." The villain smirked, noticing Bakugou already hardening again.
And so, he zipped his trousers up and walked around the bed, sitting himself down beside Bakugou, who was clearly already seeing stars.
He reached up, running his hands through Bakugou's hair with a roughness that distinguished him from those soft touches from before, "Don't worry Kacchan, we'll take good care of you."
Having Midoriya rimming him was already sending him over the edge, especially when his tongue finally pushed past the muscle of his arsehole, but having Deku blowing his half-hard dick at the same time was what finally had the over-stimulation getting to him.
"F- Fuck. That- that's too much... It's too much." Bakugou whimpered, throwing his head back against the pillow as he pulled hard against his restraints.
Despite his pleads, neither of them stopped, not until he cried out, "Armadillo."
Midoriya stopped instantly, pulling his tongue out as his head snapped up to look at Bakugou. He used his strength to pull the villain off of him and, although the latter seemed startled at first, he soon realised why.
"Are you okay? Does it hurt? We'll stop this right here, right now." Izuku mumbled away, wiping Bakugou's tear-stained cheeks as he searched his eyes for any signs of serious discomfort.
As he began to untie his arms, allowing Bakugou to rub the sore skin around his wrists, the blonde shook his head.
"N- No. I'm alright. I just- I just needed a break. Sorry."
Midoriya had him in his arms in an instant as the villain came to sit beside them with a chuckle, "Funny safe word."
"Yeah? Well, what's yours?" Bakugou snapped, returning to his usual self.
The villain sighed and looked down, already knowing Bakugou was simply going to laugh, "Sweet potato."
Of course, as expected, Bakugou creased up although he still didn't remove himself from Midoriya's cradling arms.
Once the laughter had stopped, the villain locked eyes with Bakugou and asked, "So, Kacchan, are you ready to get back to it?"
"Of course I am. Are you?" Bakugou, although clearly still not quite over the previous stimulation, challenged when maybe he shouldn't have.
The villain's eyes only darkened as he pulled Bakugou from Midoriya's comforting arms so that he was now beneath him. They hadn't untied him from the spread bar so there was nothing he could do when a fully erect cock was buried deep inside him.
Bakugou sucked in a breath, all former cockiness leaving him the moment the villain began to thrust into him.
"Shit- Fuck- That, that actually feels good." Bakugou moaned out, using his now free hands to reach for Midoriya, pulling him to him so that they could lock lips.
"You're so tight. I knew pushing you over your limit would only make this better." Deku groaned out as his thrusts grew faster.
Bakugou bounced against the bed, rocking backwards and forwards as he was roughly pounded into.
"Izuku." He simpered, hands pulling at Midoriya's hair as they continued to furiously make out.
Midoriya reached down, taking Bakugou's length in his hand to work him to his second orgasm of the night. He was still oversensitive from before so it didn't take long until he was moaning into Midoriya's mouth as he came undone in his hand.
"F- Fuck." The villain groaned, pulling out as he came all over Bakugou's stomach, only adding to the pile of dying cum on his abdomen.
When Deku regained his posture, and put his dick back in his pants, he chuckled, "Did you know you squeeze my cock harder when you come?"
Even Midoriya blushed at his words, knowing them to be true but he himself had never actually voiced that to Bakugou before. Then, he kiss Kacchan one last time and went to climb off of the bed, "Let's get you cleaned up."
But, a hand pulled him back down, "Where do you think you're going? I still want you."
Bakugou's voice was like honey and somehow more composed than expected, although more breathy than usual.
Midoriya's eyes widened, "Y- You do? After all of that I thought you'd be worn out."
"Not yet, I want- I need you, Izuku." Bakugou reassured, pulling Midoriya even closer.
When the villain released his legs, giving him more freedom, he pulled Izuku between his legs and wrapped them around him.
"But aren't you tired? I don't want you to push yourself. You've already used the safe word once and-"
"Shut up and fuck me." Bakugou whispered into his ear, noticing the way Izuku instantly blushed a bright red.
"O- Okay."
With that, his hand was moving his trousers so that his cock could come out enough for what they were about to do and, after looking into Bakugou's eyes for any sign that he wanted to stop, he lined himself up. When he found no such sign, he slowly pushed himself in.
They both groaned at the feeling but Bakugou only dug his heels into his back, forcing him to go deeper within him. Before he started to move, Midoriya kissed Bakugou so softly and brushed the matted hair off of his forehead.
"Can I move?"
"Don't fucking ask."
His pace started off slow and gentle, in fact, it stayed that way. He sped up a little but not a lot. He knew that Kacchan was well past his limit so he wanted to be even more gentle than usual. He was being careful and fuelling each thrust with love. He sunk in and then, slowly pulled back out only to push his full length in once again.
Bakugou's hands held onto his shoulder blades, feeling them flex with the rest of his back muscles as he continued to move his hips.
As they made love, they almost forgot about the other presence in the room. Almost. Of course, he had to ruin it. Or maybe, he made it better?
"Well aren't you two cute? Come on hero, fuck him hard. He can take it."
Despite his counterparts words, Midoriya continued to be gentle. He didn't care what anyone else said, even if it was technically him saying it. All he cared about was Kacchan and that he was feeling good.
A hand moved up into his curly green hair and Kacchan groaned, "T- Touch the front too, please."
And so, he did.
Everything he was doing was to make Bakugou feel good, much as the villain had done earlier, just in a different way. Bakugou would have been able to take another rough fucking, sure, but he preferred this. After all of that, he needed his Izuku to take care of him. To treat him gently, to show him the love he wanted, to give him the praise he needed.
"You're doing so well Kacchan." Midoriya moaned, thumb slipping over the slit of his cock before slipping back down his shaft once again, "This is the last time. After this we'll wash up and cuddle up in bed."
That sounded nice. Cuddling up with Izuku as they drifted off to sleep. He was a great source of warmth, not to mention the perfect body pillow. He was looking forward to how he would run his fingers so soothingly through his hair. He was also looking forward to Izuku looking after him and his sore ass for the next few days while he recovered from tonight's events.
But right now, he was focused on the cock in his ass and the sensation of his third orgasm building up.
"Izuku- I'm going to come. I want you to- to come inside."
Midoriya didn't need to be told twice and, after a few more thrusts, they both came. Midoriya pulled out and collapsed on the bed beside him, panting heavily as he caught his breath.
"So? How was it?" The villain Deku inquired, tapping his foot as he waited for an answer.
Bakugou looked up at the ceiling and breathed, "Mind-blowing."

“Yes, mom. I’ve arrived safely. No, I didn’t encounter any weirdos on my way. Don’t worry, I’ll call you again tonight. Tell the others I said hi! Love you, mom.”
I end the call with a small smile, imagining the worried look on mom’s face. From today onwards, I’ll finally be able to live alone as a proud adult!
But there is only one tiny problem.
How do I get to my apartment again?
So I’m currently left with no other options than to ask some locals for directions.
Sure, I got the address for my apartment from my kind landlord but I never did ask him for directions because I’m confident I remembered the way to my own apartment from my highschool days.
Apparently, my ‘amazing’ memory decided that 1 year and a half of not visiting the place means that I won’t come back there ever again and wiped out the directions from my brain.
As I looked around for any sign of friendly locals that I could ask directions from, I heard a cheerful voice behind me.
“You look like you’re in quite the trouble there, miss! Care to tell us the problem?”
“Ah, yes! May I know the way to-- huh?”
I turned around with a big smile on my face, relieved that someone is kind enough to offer their help but stopped halfway when I saw who it was.
"Huh?"
The person seemed equally as shocked when he saw me too, making the both of us stare at each other for a moment, just to make sure we’re not seeing the wrong person.
"Mirio...?"
A smile quickly made its way to his face when I uttered his name, probably because he knew that his assumption was right.
"Y/N! So it really IS you!"
He makes his way to me and wraps his big arms around my body as I quickly follow suit.
"Oh my gosh! It's been so long! Can't believe I'd meet you here!"
I let go of him and shake his hands excitedly, my smile never leaving my face as the excitement and nostalgia washed over my entire being.
"For real! I'm happy to see you again!"
He flashes his bright smile that I’m so used to. I look behind him to see a confused green-haired boy staring at the both of us.
"Oh, isn't that..."
Mirio took notice of my attention towards the boy and turned to him.
"I think you remember him from high school. This is Midoriya. He's currently working under my agency for his Hero Work-Studies."
Midoriya took Mirio's brief introduction as his cue to introduce himself and bowed his head at me.
"N-nice to meet you! I'm Midoriya Izuku and I go by the name Deku."
I clapped my hands together as I remembered something when I heard his introduction.
"Right! The problem child!"
Mirio laughs at my exclamation while Izuku smiles awkwardly at me. I sure did remember the boy that Mirio always talked about during the Hero Work-Studies in our senior year (I wished my memories for directions are as good as this).
"Are you patrolling around this area?"
I ask Mirio while carefully observing his hero costume. It looks a bit different from what I remembered. He must've done some changes to it.
"Yep! Speaking of, you were about to ask for directions right? Where are you heading to?"
"Ah, right..."
I suddenly hesitated to ask for help after knowing that it was Mirio. It would've been so embarrassing if my best friend knew I forgot the way to my own apartment. He would definitely tease me about it.
“Uh….directions for….um...”
“For your apartment?”
Mirio guesses and flashes me his teasing smile. I glare at him as I feel my own cheeks heating up. Mirio gives a hearty laugh and slaps my back several times in an attempt to cheer me up.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help with the directions! It’s pretty close by here too so you are on the right track! Just walk straight along this path then make a right turn. If you’ve forgotten what your apartment looks like, I can--”
I put my hand up to stop him from talking and give an annoyed look.
“Mirio, I AT LEAST knew what my apartment looks like. I just need the directions...”
Mirio laughs again and rests his hand on my shoulder.
“I understand if you forget things, Y/N. It’s been almost 2 years since you last came here.”
I smile at him, grateful that he’s so understanding of my situation.
“Thanks, Mirio. Oh, right! Tell me your number. We can continue chatting over the phone. You must be busy patrolling right now. Sorry to take your time!”
I quickly take out my phone from my handbag and Mirio follows suit.
“Don’t worry over it too much! A hero is always ready to help anyone in need.”
Well, I’m glad that that part of him didn’t change at all. Still the same cheerful Mirio, just like back during our school days.
“Oh and Y/N? Do you already have a job here?”
I look away from my phone and send a toothy grin at him.
“Yep! I’ll be working at my relative’s restaurant. I’ll give you the location later so feel free to drop by whenever! I’ll start working next week so come by then if you’re free.”
“I see! That’s good for you. I’ll tell you when I will drop by!”
“Okay. Well then, good luck doing hero works, you two! Teach those baddies some lessons for me, will ya?”
I did some air punches and laughed at my own silliness. The problem child seemed amused and motivated though, so I guess I did do them a favor.
I wave my hands at the both of them before turning around and making my way to my apartment. I quickened my steps as soon as I reached the right corner and spotted my apartment complex. Gotta unpack all those stuff and do some cleaning after all. The giddy feeling in my chest made me feel like a teenager again and I just couldn’t help but to be excited to see my precious home again after so long.
~~**~~
“So that’s L/N-senpai? This is the first time I’ve seen her. I heard that during the second term of her senior year, she was involved in an accident so she was forced to go back to her hometown to rest there.”
Mirio looks at Izuku with a small smile. He understands why Izuku is curious about Y/N’s situation, since she did become the hot topic of the school for a while.
“She wasn’t originally from here after all. The apartment she was heading to was her house during her high school years. But yeah, turns out her condition was worse than they had thought so she was forced to drop out of UA.”
Izuku gasps slightly, his usual bright face turning a bit dark.
“I wonder how L/N-senpai must’ve felt. She was so close to graduating and becoming a Pro Hero too.”
“Yeah...but I’m sure she’s fine so don’t worry much!”
Mirio gives a hard slap behind Izuku’s back and almost making him fall over. The two of them continued chatting away as they patrol around the area, keeping the place safe from all evils just like a true hero that they are.

Scales pt. 3 //yan!bakusquad fantasy au//
uuugh i hate writing filler You were on bed rest for two days, Katsuki had almost exploded when he saw the damage you’d sustained, Kiri’s patch up job… hadn’t been the best. Katsuki seemed to be the leader, and able to do anything he set his mind to, which included keeping you in the middle bed, piled in with at least two of them at any given time. You’d… learned a lot about them! Mina and Denki had been teaching you more about magic, Hanta had taken over teaching you about healing, and Katsuki and Kiri would just… try to feed you? That god Katsuki was an amazing cook, honestly.
Denki and Sero were passed out next to you, and you finally saw an opportunity to explore. Soft snores echoed in your ears as you padded over to the weapons, grabbing yourself a dagger to slice through the back of the tent. As long as you had the intent to come back, it shouldn’t alert the bond, or Kiri, that you’d left. The tent backed into a forest, and your eyes lit up when you saw mulberry trees, running into the brush without a second thought.
Mina was livid when she came back to find you gone, and Denki and Hanta still sleeping soundly.
“Where’s Y/n?” Her voice was harsh enough to have them spluttering awake, panic clear on their faces when they noticed you weren’t anywhere to be seen.
“Okay, they haven’t gone far, we’d all feel that, I’ll go track them with Hanta, Denki can stay here to tell Katsuki and Kiri Y/n was feeling restless so we took them on a walk, can you handle that?” It was clear how irritated she was, neither man wanted to argue, merely nodding alone and doing exactly as she asked.
You were having the time of your life! You’d found a stream with plenty of nice rocks to sit on, and you amused yourself drawing on the stone or watching the animals. You felt…. weirdly at peace with everything. There was a slight feeling of unease in the back of your mind, but you easily blocked it out. Maybe you should go for a swim? You did tend to overheat and pass out… you didn’t want to get too hot. Loose shirt and pants placed in a neat pile, you tried not to feel too exposed in your underwear. Nobody was around, you’d hear them.
“Oh thank god!” A cry startled you, the shock making you lose your footing and fall into the water. It was only cool, thank god, a nice refreshing change from the growing heat outside. You only had a moment to enjoy it before you were being scooped up and pulled back to the surface, your face getting smothered in kisses as voices vied for your attention.
“Are you guys good?” You spluttered, wiping your eyes and stepping back so you could see which one of them it actually was. Hanta and Mina stared back at you with incredulous eyes, as if you were missing some huge part of something awful. “Well?”
“You just ran off!”
“We thought something happened!”
“Or worse, what if you’d tried to run away!” Their voices melted together as they checked you over, and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes.
“I was bored is all, and the tent is right there!” A whine made its way into your words, and the pair of them stepped back. You weren’t wrong.
“Just, tell one of us next time, okay?” Mina flashed you a smile, and a sigh of relief left you. Huh, you hadn’t noticed you’d been stressing.
“Of course, I didn’t mean to worry you.”
You ended up convincing them you were well enough to stay in the water, and Hanta yelled for Denki to come out before Mina had finished asking him to. The blonde only took a second, seeming to predict what was happening, and wasted no time doing a cannonball and splashing the three of you. Laughter filled the air as you played around in the water, dunking and splashing each other without a care in the world. Even Katsuki couldn’t be mad when he and Eijiro finally got back, the four of you just looked so happy.
“Are you sure they’re well enough for this?” The redhead was stripping nonetheless, wading into the water to check you over.
“I feel great Red, promise.” You reached your arms out expectantly, wrapping around Eijiro as soon as he was close enough.
“What were the two of you doing anyway?” Hanta asked Katsuki, who was somehow already in the water with everyone else.
“Deku called a meeting, apparently Shigaraki fully lost it and went on a rampage because someone stole his ‘pet’ or something.” His tone was nonchalant but you couldn’t help but flinch, pushing thoughts to the back of your mind even though it made the tattoo itch uncomfortably.
It’d finally gotten too cold to continue in the water, and Hanta had to carry you back after Eijiro went on about how ‘you’d done enough for today’ and ‘were still meant to be resting’. Anxiety had ruined your good mood, the resulting restlessness was going to drive you crazy. You were safe here, nobody knew anything. And nobody from Shigaraki’s could possibly know you were here of all places. You’d assumed a kind of… panicked calm, but luckily it confused the bond enough that nothing seemed off. It was easier than you thought to trick it, that didn’t mean you liked doing it.
“Y/n, you okay?” Mina cupped your cheek, effectively bringing you out of your thoughts.
“Yeah, I’m just kinda tired.” You regretted the words as soon as they left your mouth, Eijiro rushing over as if he’d been listening the whole time. He probably had been.
“Let’s get you back to bed.” You batted his hands away when he tried to pick you up, you could still walk. “You’re still healing from everything, you know it takes longer after you burn yourself out.” He didn’t persist, settling to boop your nose instead. He was right, you both knew it. It could take twice as long for you to get back to full strength, and you’d… kinda overdone it in the water, so you settled down on his lap once the two of you were back in the bed.
“Where’d Denki and Katsuki go?” You only just noticed they were missing, you really needed to be more observant.
“They’re just getting diner ready, don’t worry love.”
Waking up alone was certainly a change, and panic shot through you as you sat up to look around. Denki and Mina were still there, and a relieved sigh made its way out of you at the sight.
“Good afternoon sleepy head, what do you feel like doin’ today?” Denki came over when he realised you were awake, carrying a tray laden with food. You picked at the fruit and bread as you thought, an idea coming to you within a couple of minutes.
“Well… there’s a healing spell I’ve always wanted to try… but I couldn’t even attempt it with just me, it should get me back to full strength.” You snuggled up to Denki, doing your best to get him to agree to your idea.
“Magic? Is that safe?” He cast a look at Mina, who bit her bottom lip as she thought.
“I suppose, if its spread between three people there won't be any noticeable drain on Y/n, I can’t really see a problem with it.” She shrugged, grabbing her bag from the tale. “Get dressed then, I’m assuming there are more ingredients we need to get.”
“There’s fresh mint over here!” You called, leaning down by the plant to pick a few stems. This forest had everything, it was amazing! You waited for the others to join you, you didn’t really have the desire to go off on your own, it didn’t feel safe. Luckily they were close behind, Denki unable to stop himself jumping on you as soon as you were in range. You didn’t know why he was so affectionate, worse than any of the others, but it’d grown on you.
“Okay, the only thing we need now is some mugwort, but there’s heaps of that around here.” Mina folded up the list you’d given her, gently placing it in a pocket of her bag.
“You guys really are the best!” You cooed, practically glowing as you hugged the two of them. A twig snapping had Mina and Denki on red alert, making sure you were between them as they looked around. You spotted the pair first, familiar figures that made your heart sink into your gut.
“There you are Y/n! We’ve been looking all over this forest for you!” Toga clapped her hands together as she spoke, a blush already covering her cheeks.
“Yeah, you didn’t make it easy.” Dabi was less enthusiastic, he just wanted to get the whole thing over with. “Shigaraki threw his biggest tantrum yet after your little stunt, you’re lucky you weren’t there.” Energy flowed into your hands on instinct, crackling and glowing, ready to fry anyone who made a wrong move. Thoughts raced through your mind as you tried to figure out what was happening and how you could stop them. If they said too much it’d be over for you, nobody could want you after that.
“I don't know who you are, but Y/n isn’t going anywhere with you.” Mina’s voice was downright terrifying, you almost flinched at the ice saturating it. Denki slid his arm around you waist, and when you looked down to his free hand you saw electricity crackling around his fingers. The air was so tense you couldn’t breathe, waiting for someone to just say something.
“Look, we’ve had a rough journey, don’t make this harder than it has to be.” Dabi was smirking as he spoke, bright blue eyes fixed on your form. You hated how cocky the bastard was, something wasn’t right. You turned too late, Denki’s eyes wide as his fingers reached up to brush the dart jutting out of his shoulder and your heart stopped.
“Mina-!”
“I know.” She was already firing something at the pair, and you caught Denki just as he crumbled to the ground. Somehow you dragged him to a tree, leaning him up against it and making sure he was just unconscious before you went to help Mina.
Toga dodged the blast you sent her way, lunging at you and almost knocking you off your feet as you ducked out of the way. You were still weaker than usual and it was sickeningly obvious, you could only hope they didn’t know you well enough to pick up on it. She wasn’t giving you a moment to rest, repeatedly attacking you until you were backed up against Denki and the tree. A shield flared up around you, giving you the chance to see how Mina was doing. It wasn’t going well, none of you were prepared to fight, and she was already bleeding from multiple wounds. She needed to get out of here, but she’d never leave the two of you, you didn’t have enough energy to teleport more than one person. She knew where the others were, she could warn them, right? And you could take care of Denki from the inside, they’d never been good at locking you up. Light flared around Mina’s form and her horrified eyes met yours, the colour draining from her face as she realised what you were doing.
“Y/n, no-!” Her voice was cut out before she could finish the sentence, her body disappearing in a flash moments later. Your shoulders slumped, the rest of your body following until you were crumpled on top of Denki, and boots coming towards you were the last thing you saw before your eyes closed.

Yandere! Shigaraki x Reader; All An Illusion
tw: kidnapping, messed up relationship, parental abuse, eating disorder, knifes, gayness, depression, stalking
❤️ Enjoy the series! one two
I know heroes are supposed to hate villains with a passion and don't get me wrong, I do. But, my alarm clock comes close in second. I slap that sucker with my fist, sending it to the ground and unplugging it. " I hate Mondays," I tell myself, dragging myself out of bed and putting on my white fuzzy socks. As I walk to the bathroom, I take my icy blue, almost white hair out of the ponytail that is half undone.
Looking into the mirror, I almost am scared of myself. I look like a zombie. I put on some music and wash my face before going to the closet. My dorm room isn't huge, but it's nice. Especially since my roommate is one of the gayest, most fanboyish guy in the world. "Deku! Did you take my concealer again?" I shake the broccoli headed boy, waking him up.
"Wha- oh, ya. Sorry Y/n, it helps cover up all the bruises from training. I don't like anyone worrying about me, and with all the news reporters, I'm scared my mom will see." I think of Deku's mom.
So nice, so sweet, and such a good cook.
"Yea, you're lucky about that one." I sadly smile, taking it from his bedside table. "Just let me buy you your own, or get your boyfriend to buy you one. What if you wake up someday and you're tan?" I tease as he throws a pillow in my direction. "Todoroki isn't just my boyfriend Y/n, he's my soulmate. Don't be jelly." he jokes. "At least my eyes didn't look like Christmas colors until this year." We both giggle hysterically.
In our world, everyone is born with two different colored eyes. Our left color is the one of our soulmate, and the right one is our own color. Once we make eye contact with our soulmates, they return back to their original color. My eyes are red on the left, and then purple.
I go to the opposite wall and open the windows, letting the sunrise fill our view. Even though Deku covers his face with a pillow, I can't help but watch the birds in the distance. They're free to go wherever, be with whoever. They're not stuck in a certain place, they fly everywhere and anywhere they want to.
I do some makeup and curl my hair a little bit before slipping into my uniform. "Y/n, you've been getting skinnier. Are you okay?" Deku asks, waiting for me by the door. He's already in the UA uniform and is currently eating one of the donuts his mom brought for us yesterday. "Oh ya, I've just been training so much it's hard to find time to eat. But I'm fine. See?"
I grab a donut and take a bite, chewing it slowly and giving him a fake smile. He smiles back, relieved as I slip on my shoes and take a final look in the mirror, trying not to throw up. My eyes are purple, but today they're looking extra vibrant. Maybe it's the sunlight filling the room, or the fact that I cried myself to sleep last night. Either way, they look different. Deku and I walk down the hall as I try to find a way to get the bite of donut out of my mouth without him seeing.
I haven't eaten anything for over 48 hours, and I can't have the first thing be full of calories and sugar. Finally, we get to the classroom. When Deku walks in, I immediately spit it out and stuff the donut into the nearby trash can where nobody can see. I feel bad about wasting food, but I would feel worse if anybody knew about me not eating. I sit down in Bakugo's seat so I can talk to Deku, eventually talking to Todoroki and Mina.
Finally, Mr. Aizawa comes into class, followed by someone I don't know, and we all sit down. "Today we are going on a trip to the USJ for some training. Go change, and come straight back." I quickly go up as Mina and Asui join by my side to walk to the girls changing area. I hate this part with a dying passion, letting everyone see my scars, bruises, and ribs. It always starts a conversation that I don't like, making people worry about me.
"So Y/n, I've been thinking. You haven't told me about a single crush that you've had since we got here. What's up with that?" Mina looks at me with curiosity. "I just don't see the point in dating someone who's not your soulmate. It seems like a waste of time." Mina laughs at my response, taking off her uniform and changing.
"I've noticed that too, actually. I-" Uruaka stops talking as I take off my shirt. Everyone's eyes bug out, looking at the colorful display on my body. A large gash is in the middle of my shoulder, and another as my hip. There's a new scar near my collar bone and a large bruise on my upper stomach. " Y/n... What happened?"
Ururaka steps closer to examine me, before reaching out to touch the large scar on my arm. "Uh, Sensei has been training me extra hard lately. It's fine." I quickly put on my uniform outfit and fix my hair as Mina tries to start up the other conversation. "Anyways, do you really not like anyone else? What about Kirishima, or Sero? Personally I thought you'd be cute with Asui, or Momo. But Momo already is soulmates with Jirou, and Ururaka is soulmates with Asui."
I laugh, thinking about how all my friends have been able to find their soulmate in our class, except me. It's kind of sad honestly. Is it impossible for me to develop feelings for people? Am I that hopeless? Maybe my soulmate is gone, or has found someone else. Maybe I’ll never find them.
Ururaka chimes in, but I blank her out mostly. "Maybe Tenya, but he gives me asexual vibes. I think you'd be cute with Shinso but..." I stopped listening as we walked to the courtyard of UA, where everyone else waited. "Fashionably late is not acceptable ladies. I expect you earlier next time." Aizawa told us as they stopped talking. "And ( y/n ), take your contacts off."
I slid the contacts out and into my contact case. We all loaded up on the bus as Lida gave all the boys a hard time about the seating chart. I sat between Mina and Asui near the window, playing footsies with Momo for a little bit before I put my music in. Just loud enough to drown everyone out, I rested my eyes.
I guess it would be good to tell you about myself. Well, you already know I have icy blue hair that turned even lighter since I've been in the sun so much. My skin is darker than my friends, but I wouldn't call myself tan. I'm Y/n Kayama, the daughter of Kora and Magazaki Kayama. Kora Kayama, my mother, is currently in rehab for her addiction to her meds. The nurses at her facility tell me all the time that she says terrible things about me. It's not a surprise to me though, she always hated me. My dad wasn't any better though, as he drunk a lot and hurt me a lot before we got the dorms system.
That's what all the bruises were from, not training, but my dad's fist. He was a gang member, who went to prison for trying to attacking a fellow gang member, and sent my mom to rehab because she was the only one in his way of having complete custody over us. He was obsessed with completely controlling us... well, I say us, but it’s just me now.
My sister killed herself last fall when I got into UA, she knew I'd be able to take care of myself and wouldn't need her to live. She felt her only reason for living was to keep me safe, and when we got dorms, she felt she was finally free. I remember watching her jump off the large red bridge downtown, the smile on her face. She hadn't smiled like that in a while.
When my dad showed up to the school and demanded to see me, his breath smelling like alcohol and his tattoos showing, Aizawa knew something was up. Aizawa and my father had been acquaintances when they were kids, but my dad went down the wrong path. Aizawa knew about the drinking, smoking, gangs, and his violent attitude. Aizawa instantly looked over me and my sister from the moment my mom went to rehab, knowing that my dad wasn't a good parent.
Aizawa and eventually Present Mic gave us rides and cared for us in general. I had only seen Aizawa cry two times, once when Mic almost died in a villain attack, and the day of my sister's funeral.
Oh right, my quirk. Silly me. My quirk is theft, which means that when I look someone in the eye, I inherit their quirk for 24 hours. The best part is that I can use multiple quirks at once.  The bad part is that when I accidentally look at someone, I end up using their quirk. I once looked at Ururaka and began floating. I also looked into Mina's eyes and turned pink. We looked like sisters though so it was cool. I do have a bad memory though, so I often forget my contacts. I didn't take the entrance exam since my quirk can't work against robots without me using someone else.
Instead, Aizawa recommended me to take the special exam. Deku idolizes All Might, but I idolize Aizawa. Aizawa has known me since I was born. I think about what Mina said, and I can admit that I've never felt love like that. Maybe it's because I was never loved as a child, or never saw a loving marriage except for Aizawa and Mic, but I've never felt for someone in that way.
Sure, I love my friends to death and would do anything to help them, including risk my own life, but it's different. I've never felt connected with someone, even if they've ask me out or something. Lida asked me out once in middle school, and Denki perused me multiple times before he found Sero, but I never was able to say yes. Mina and I made out at spin the bottle once, but it was more fun than romantic.
" Y/n, we are here. Please wake up." I woke up to Lida playfully poking my face as everyone else giggled. Immediately Lida's quirk registered in my brain. It was okay, I had used Lida's quirk before. "O-oh sorry, I must have fallen asleep." The class laughed as Lida smiled. "I recommend that you get more sleep immediately. Deku has told me about how you lay awake watching makeup tutorials, so maybe you can go to Recovery Girl and-"
I cut him off by pushing my finger to his face. "I'm good, thanks." I walk past him to Mina and the girls who are waiting for me. Immediately I inherited Ururaka's quirk. It was hard to control, but I had an effect on my shoes that kept me stuck to the ground until I used her quirk. As we walk up to the USJ, I see it's a large dome with different areas of natural disasters. I hope I get the building on fire or the ocean. I can run on water with Lida's quirk, and float above the fire with Ururaka's quirk.
"Hello 1-A students, I am Thirteen. I've looked at your files here for recommendations, and right now we will be working on rescuing people from natural disasters." Thirteen sets down files with our profiles. I can’t help but be curious about what’s in mine.
" Now, I want to send you all to the biomes that will challenge you, and challenge the way you go about rescuing others. Now if I can have Shoto Todoroki, Bakugo Katsuki, Izuku Midoriya, ( y/n ) Kayama, and then Denki Kaminari to go to the mountain land. You will be dealing with an avalanche, and then getting people to the bottom safely with no equipment. Go ahead, and wait for the buzzer before you start."
I linked arms with Midoryia, registering his quirk, as we walked towards the mountain, eventually joining up with Todoroki. As I made eye contact with Todoroki, I felt a cooling sensation on my left and a heating sensation on my right. "Nervous?" Todoroki asked, grabbing onto Deku's waist romantically. " A little, but at least broken bones aren't an issue anymore. I am worried about the-", "Ugh, you guys make me sick!" Bakugo yelled out from behind me. I try not to make eye contact with Bakugo. I don't like his quirk. It makes me sweat, and it’s way too sweaty.
"You're just upset that Kiri isn't here," I smirk as his face turns pink all over. "At least I have someone who likes me." he snickers before walking over to Denki. I watch him walk off, and realize he's right. I'm unlovable, or else my parents would have liked me. I might have someone by now if I wasn't so broken. Maybe I'll never find my soulmate, or they won't like me. I finally come to my senses and realize that the buzzer hasn't sounded yet. Is everything working right?
I look around to see that everyone else is confused too. Even the volunteers I can see on top of the mountain are looking around. Suddenly, a large boom comes from the middle of the USJ. I begin to go up the mountain towards the volunteer when I hear screaming. I turn around and see Deku, looking down at the center. I gasp, watching a large purple portal open in the middle and many people walking out.
"Is this part of it?" Denki asks as Deku shakes his head. I register Denki’s quirk. Now is not the time! "No! That's the League of Villains, I've seen them on the News! They're not good news!" Todoroki suddenly grabs me and Deku, building an ice tower high off the ground with us on top. "We need to stay safe up here, who knows what they want."
Before I can even gasp, I look out into the center to see the entire league running towards the mountain area. "Bakubro, what do we do!?" I looked behind myself to see Denki and Bakugo on one of the mountain ledges. "I don't know, but they want something." I can hear my teeth chattering, and I can't help but feel dizzy already. Luckily, Todoroki has me and Deku in his tight, protective grip. I never thought Todoroki liked me, since me and his boyfriend spent so much time together.
The league is now under us though, and I can picture out two familiar faces out of the group. Toga Himiko, a villain with a quirk for blood cloning, and Twice, a guy who can make copies of himself. We can take them and a bunch of villains I've never heard of. We are about to attack when I hear something that makes my legs shake. "Y/n~Senpai! We've come for you!" Toga yells up, making direct eye contact with us.
Todoroki and Deku look at me, as I can feel Bakugo and Denki staring at me from behind. "I don't know what's happening," I whisper to them, and they nod. They trust me, and can probably read the fear in my eyes. "Come up here and fight us for her you reject!" Bakugo yells down as them as Toga giggles.
"Orrrr... you can come down here!" She yells as one of the random villains touches the ice tower. Immediately the tower begins to turn into melting sludge as we begin to fall to them. Todoroki grabs Deku and me, jumping and creating an ice path for them to walk on. The only issue is that Todoroki grabs my hair instead, and I begin to fall towards the villains.
Luckily Denki's hand is there to grab me and pull me up. "Get behind me," Bakugo commands as sparks begin to fly out of his hands. "No, I can fight for myself. I don't need y-" Bakugou and Denki physically push me behind them. "No, they have a portal quirk with someone. They get their hands on you for a split second and you're gone." Denki explains as I sigh. Boys.
"Now stay back," Bakugo growls, scaring me a little bit. I wonder how Kirishima deals with this all the time. Bakugo and Denki step towards the front of the ledge, making me step towards the back. I sigh, still shaking from fear and nervousness. Why are all these people here for me? What do they want? How do they know my name? What did I do to deserve this? Do they want to kill me?
Looking out into the center, I can see all of my classmates are fighting villains while Aizawa and Thirteen are trying to get to us. But they can't, with a weird creature that looks like a bird but has an exposed brain and is purple. It's kicking Aizawa's ass too, which is depressing. I back against the wall and shut my eyes tight, wishing they would let me protect myself. Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my neck, and look to see Toga, right next to me, holding a knife to my neck. I register Toga's quirk accidentally.
"Oh, boys. Some protectors you are." Bakugo and Denki look behind them to see us, their eyes wide in horror. "Y/n! Let her go Toga!" Deku yells, trying to get to me, but Todoroki holds him back in fear. Everyone looks scared out of their minds, which they probably are. I know I am freaking out, trying to think of some way to get out of here. Some hero I am!
"Toga, don't hurt her," Denki whispers, trying to inch closer. "Not another step lightning-boy!" Toga threatens, pushing me closer to the edge of the mountain. I look way down, seeing how deep the side of the mountain goes. That's surely a deadly drop, and who would save me? Nobody. "You won't push her off, and I know it. Not after you all did all this work, just to kill a random student? Seems pretty useless.", Bakugo begins to take a step.
"Kacchan don't!" Deku yells, right before my life flashes before my eyes. Toga pushes me off the cliff, and I plummet to the ground. I look up to see Aizawa and a few other students watching me, their faces filled with sorrow, regret, and fear. I'm going to die right here. At the hands of an amateur villain attack. How pathetic. They know I'm going to die too.
As I hit the ground, I fall into a purple void that consumes me. I hear yelling, screaming, even blood-curdling screeches as I enter a dark room. Immediately the portal closes behind me, and I'm left inside a dark basement. I try to look around, but the moment I move, a thick cloth covers my eyes, and a towel is stuffed into my mouth.
I can feel picked up, and thrown into a room. I hear a door slam, and then laughing. I smell something weird, and before I realize it, a gas fills the room and puts me to sleep. I've been kidnapped by the League of Villains, and now I have no idea where I am.

Kacchan the Blasty Boi (3)
Imagine: Ground Zero tags along with you for the day.
Part One
Part Two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Texting with Bakugo throughout the rest of the week was kinda crazy, but it was easy. At first, it had been kinda awkward as it usually was when you first start texting someone but eventually, both of you got comfortable with each other and it wasn’t long until texting Bakugo was a daily routine. It wasn’t constant because of his job but there hadn’t been a day where Bakugo didn’t text you and it made you feel wanted.
Last night, you informed Bakugo that you were going back to the park to TNR the felines from the week before. He asked what time and said he would be available early in the morning which was fine for you. It was hard to sleep because you were giddy and couldn’t help to smile thinking of tomorrow. So, you had a little crush on Bakugo but you were positive some of his calibers would never date a woman like you with a lower-tier quirk.
But regardless, you would appreciate this new friendship greatly.
In the early morning hours, you got dressed and began to head to your cafe that would be the meet-up spot. Your best friend had already rented the truck and parked it in front of the cat cafe. As usual, street cats trotted at your side and behind you and this wasn’t uncommon. Since the incident last week, it seemed like the street cats weren’t taking any chances in leaving you on your own.
It warmed your heart.
Coming up to the cafe, you could see two figures bickering in front of your cafe; one with ashy blonde hair and the other with green curly hair. You pursued your lips in surprise because you recognized both of the figures but the latter surprised you even more.
Bakugo looked agitated as Pro-Hero (And Number One Hero) Deku spoke frantically with his arms waving around. Bakugo’s red eyes saw you walking up and a relieved look crossed his agitated face for a split second, you gave a gentle smile before curiously looking over at Pro-Hero Deku.
Both of them were dressed as civilians.
“Deku, why don’t you bother someone else,” Bakugo snapped running a hand through his hair in annoyance, “I have things to do right now and they don’t include dealing with your annoying ass.”
Deku didn’t look bothered by Bakugo’s harsh words, “Kacchan, please, I don’t want to go in alone!” Deku groaned, “What if cats don’t like me and chase me out?!”
“Not my problem, idiot,” Bakugo snapped before walking past Deku, “Good morning, Y/N,” Bakugo greeted with a less agitated tone and looked down at the cats following you, “Well, I’m not surprised you have a protection detail.” Bakugo gave a light smirk.
You giggled acutely aware that Deku was now gaping at you, “Yeah, I find it flattering, ya know? I don’t have the heart to tell them no.” You admitted sheepishly as you adjusted your beanie.
Bakugo’s eyes eyed the beanie for a moment before Deku weakly stuttered behind Bakugo, “U-Um, K-Kacchan?”
Tumblr media
Bakugo gave you an annoyed looked before sighing loudly and stepped to the side to give you a full view of Pro-Hero Deku, “Deku, this is Y/N,” You couldn’t help but smile widely and gave a slight bow, “Don’t bow to this idiot,” Bakugo said with an eye roll and you glared playfully at Bakugo, “Y/N owns Fur-midable Cat Cafe where I adopted Shang, now fuck off.”
Deku began to bow, “Nice to meet you, Y/N!”
“Oh, you don’t have to bow, Deku,” You say quickly with flushed cheeks, “It’s nice to meet you too! You’re the last person I expected to see with Bakugo.” You say with a friendly tone.
“Vice versa,” Deku chuckled awkwardly, “He was bragging about Shang so much that I wanted to see where he adopted Shang from because I became interested in adopting a cat.”
You brightened instantly, “Is that so?” You smile brightly making Deku stutter over his words, “That’s great to hear! We have a ton of cats looking their fur-ever home!” You laugh at your bad pun.
Deku laughed though awkwardly but before either of you could continue the conversation, Bakugo spoke up.
“Deku, why don’t you come back another day when she’s free?” You glanced at your friend surprised to hear him so serious and not annoyed, “She’s going to be trapping cats today.”
Deku cocked his head to the side--a mischievous look flashing through his green eyes. It surprised you since so far Deku had been nothing but an awkward mess. “Are you guys on a date?!” Deku blurted out.
Your eyes widen and you heard squeals coming from inside your cat cafe and when the three of you turned towards the giant window of your cafe; there stood your best friend, your employees, and your cats. Bakugo sighed, “Deku, shut the fuck up before I kill you in front of everyone.” He stated bluntly.
Deku cringed, “S-Sorry, I didn’t mean to blurt that out!”
“Well, as far as I was aware,” You chuckled awkwardly, “Bakugo was just accompanying me after last week’s incident where I was almost robbed at gun-point.” You explained to Deku.
“Oh,” Deku realized, “Oh, yeah, I think I heard something about that from the Police station, I’m glad you weren’t hurt, Y/N!” Deku chirped before musing, “I guess I’ll have to come back some other day if Bakugo has you busy today.” A tone of slyness was detected.
“Deku, I will kill you right now.” Bakugo snarled slightly.
Deku grinned widely, “Okay, I’m going,” Deku put his hands up in defeat, “Have fun today! I’ll be sure to come by on my day off!” Deku waved excitedly and hurried off down the street but as soon as he turned around he was whipping out his phone.
“Deku,” Bakugo’s icy voice stopped the other pro-hero, “Don’t you dare.”
You glanced at your best friend who was smirking knowingly at you and they wiggled their eyebrows at you. You have her an exasperated look and shook your head before she lowered the sun-blinds.
Deku looked over his shoulder and grinned, “I won’t.” And scurried off.
“Well, that was interesting,” You mused softly, “Not every day I get to personally meet Pro-Hero Deku.”
“He’s a pain in the ass,” Bakugo seethed watching Deku disappear in a crowd of people, “I didn’t even realize the idiot was following me after I told him to fuck off last night and to leave me alone.”
“You two close?” You asked curiously.
Bakugo shrugged, “We’ve known each other since we were kids but I wouldn’t call us close,” Bakugo took a step towards you, “Can I, um, make a suggestion?” Bakugo asked quietly making your heart flutter by his closeness. He was a good few inches taller than you, so, you had to crane your head back slightly to peer at him curiously.
“Sure?”
Bakugo reached out and tugged at your beanie, “You don’t have to hide your ears, Y/N, especially not with me around.” His voice was steady and didn’t waver, but it made your heart waver. He didn’t shy from your gaze, “I’ll kick anyone’s ass if they make fun of your ears.” He added bluntly and it made you laugh.
“It’s an old habit,” You admitted with a chuckle as you took your beanie off, “One that doesn’t die very easily.” You offer your beanie to one of your cat bodyguards. The street cats liked your scent so, anything with your scent was a gift to them. It was snatched out of your hand and the cat meowed his thanks and scurried off. You laughed whilst the other cats complained.
“They like my scent a lot,” You explained to your friend who had been looking at you curiously, “Anything with my scent is greatly appreciated by them, so, whenever I have clothes I don’t want I usually let the cats take them.”
“That’s kinda fucking weird,” Bakugo muttered with a snort.
“Yeah, it is, but cats are weird in general.” You shrugged with a smile.
“Amen,” Bakugo scoffed.
“Ready?” You asked him.
“Yeah, mind if I drive?” Bakugo asked and you shook your head, “Cool.” You turned to your bodyguards, “Thank you for walking me here,” You crouched down and gave everyone some well-deserved pets, “Why don’t you go inside and get warmed up, hmm? I’m safe with Bakugo.” The cats enjoyed your attention and a few stared at Bakugo with narrowed eyes before they took the alleyway to get into the Purr-ty Fur-ends where the street cats would safely hang out in.
It didn’t take long to get to the park; you asked Bakugo general questions that you saved for this day and didn’t ask over text. Bakugo answered and asked questions regarding your childhood and your school days. “I was two years behind you,” You mused softly, “General studies was fun though. I don’t I could handle being a pro-hero.”
“Because of your quirk?” Bakugo questioned with a frown.
“It’s not a powerful quirk,” You shrugged not bothered by the truth, “Though one of my teachers did say it would be a good quirk for search and rescue.”
“You didn’t pursue that?” Bakugo asked.
You gave a sad smile, “She was the only one who thought that.”
“Well, fuck them,” Bakugo muttered darkly, “It would have been a great way to use your quirk.”
“You think so?” You looked up at him with surprised eyes.
“I know so, you brat.” Bakugo glanced at you before focusing on the road.
You smiled, “Too bad I didn’t know you beforehand,” You mused.
“No one supported you?”
“No.” You smiled sadly.
“Screw them then,” Bakugo said firmly, “If you still want to try search and rescue, I have friends that can make that happen.” He told you and it warmed your heart immensely.
But it made you nervous, “I’m not sure if I can make such a career change,” You admitted shyly, “I’m not even sure I could take the time to add in classes,” You sighed softly, “When I couldn’t help out people with my quirk after high school, I decided to focus on helping street cats; they were always more supportive even more so then my own parents.”
“I’m not surprised,” Bakugo replied easily, “They adore you.”
“I wouldn’t say adore,” You laughed with a blush.
“I disagree,” Bakugo firmly responded as he parked the truck, “So, how do we do this? Are you sure I won’t scare them off?” Bakugo questioned.
You nod confidently, “Oh, yeah, you’re a cat friend now, like me, so they trust you now.” You smile and the both of you begin taking out the traps from the back and you explain to him the process, “I tend to go solo because I was being pulled apart between animal shelters wanting to use me to trap the cats and make their lives easier,” You mumbled as a clowder of cats immediately came to greet you and Bakugo, “Once, I weeded out the assholes who wanted to use me, I get told which areas are breeding grounds and I come out and do my job,” You grabbed the large feeding bowls from the corner while Bakugo easily lifted out and opened the large bag of cat food.
You set the food trays down and Bakugo filled with the cat food, “Do you usually feed them when you’re out trapping?” Bakugo asked curiously as a few cats meowed at him in thanks and rubbed up against him.
“Yeah, I do,” You answered watching the street cats eat away, “When I used to have volunteers, I had them go around the areas that were heavily populated and feed the ferals.”
“What happened?” Bakugo asked with a frown.
You sighed with annoyance, “People didn’t like that the cats were being fed and taken care of because they considered the cat’s nuisances and the police had to be called in and we weren’t allowed to come back” You rolled your eyes, “So, I told the cats to move and that was around the time I brought the store next to the cafe and created Purr-ty Fur-ends.”
Bakugo was quiet and when you looked at him; he looked like he was seething. You gently placed a hand on his shoulder since he had been crouching down and petting the cats, “Hey, it worked out in the end, didn’t it? A lot of my volunteers went to help the shelters I trusted and a lot of people who have the free-time often feed the ferals.”
“It pisses me off to think that there are heartless people like that nowadays,” Bakugo growled.
“There are always people like that around,” You chuckled dryly, “You learn not to dwell too much on them.”
Conversation flowed easily as Bakugo continued asking questions and the two of you set up the traps for the cats to clamber into. It was a good hour or two later when Bakugo was loading up the caged cats into the back and you were picking up the feeding bowls to put back into the truck when a mommy cat came out of the bushes with a young kit in her mouth.
You felt her emotions strongly and she was distressed. You walked up to her and squatted down to her level; she dropped the mewling kit on the ground in front of you and meowed at you. You cooed at the mommy and checked on the kit for any signs of sickness or injuries, both mommy and kit were okay, but you knew she had more kits elsewhere.
The kit was only a month old.
“Hey, Bakugo, can you grab me the carrier in the back seat? The pink one with the blankets in it?” You called over to your friend as you picked up the kit and cradled it against your chest. The mother cat meowed and kept looking over from where she had come from.
Bakugo walked over with the carrier and you gently put the mewling kit inside, “Are they loaded in?” You asked quietly and Bakugo nodded, “Okay, let’s follow this mommy real quick,” You didn’t give Bakugo a chance to answer as you instructed to the remaining clowder of cats lounging about, “Can you guys stay here and keep an eye on the truck?”
You were eagerly answered and you turned back to the mommy cat who had already begun trotting back into the bushes; you picked up the carrier and followed the mother with Bakugo right behind you. She led you into the thicket of trees and further back to the parts that weren’t considered the park but hiking trails.
“Is it normal that she has her kits so far from the group?” Bakugo asked sensing your growing worry.
“No, it isn’t,” You mumbled before walking through a hiking trail, up a gentle slope, and behind some crumbling stone wall. You heard kits mewling and mommy turned into the side of the crumbling, graffiti-ed wall and saw a cardboard box on the floor.
You pressed your lips together.
“What the fuck, Bakugo said in horror as the realization dawned on him quickly.
You didn’t hear a lot of mewling; only the mewling of maybe two kits. Bakugo looked at the blank look on your face and understood the intensity of this grim discovery. You kneeled down to the box that been repeatedly taped over with duct tape to prevent the mother and her kits from escaping but the mother hadn’t given up without a fight; she chewed through the tape until she was able to squeeze through and grab a kit and run.
It was clear that whoever had dumped them...did so to kill them.
You closed your eyes feeling your heartbreak because you prayed none of the kits were dead; you pulled the tape back until you could open the cardboard flaps apart and set eyes on a medium-sized litter of kits. You bit the inside of your cheek trying to hold back tears; only two kits were alive while four were lifeless. Your chin wobbled and hot tears were creeping up in your eyes; the mother meowed and began to pick up one of the kits that were alive and brought that kit over to carrier that you had placed on the floor.
“Y/N,” Bakugo whispered your name placing a hand on your shoulder but it sounded like Bakugo was at a loss for words; this was a new level of cruelty he had never seen before.
You cleared your throat and picked up the last surviving kit and made sure they weren’t injured and placed them inside the carrier before doing the same to the sibling that the mother cat had placed on the ground. “I’m going to bury them,” You murmured with a heavy tone looking for a spot of soft earth to begin digging in.
“Y/N, we don’t have anything to dig with,” Bakugo responded.
“Yes, I do,” You murmured picking up the cardboard box carefully and walking a few meters away and got on your knees as your hands ripped through the dirt without mercy; your heart was crying. You had seen this enough but it was never easy seeing the full extent of animal cruelty. Your fingers pulled the dirt and though it hurt your fingers, you didn’t falter.
You owed those lost souls some of your sufferings; they didn’t deserve to die like that as if they were trash. You hadn’t noticed you were crying until Bakugo was gently calling your name and pulling you into him to get you to stop hurting yourself.
And you cried into his chest; you cried for those poor babies who deserved the best life possible and instead died because of someone who didn’t want them and wanted them to suffer. Bakugo didn’t say anything but held onto you as you cried and mourned; He was stunned at what he had witnessed and his heart broke too.
A few minutes of silence passed, you pulled away and murmured, “I need to keep going.”
“I’ll help you, okay? You don’t have to do this alone and you don’t have to hurt yourself either.” Bakugo told you firmly.
You didn’t answer but nodded. Both of you dug a deep enough grave and the mommy cat sat beside you as you offered her one of her dead kits; she gave the lifeless body a few licks before you placed the first one down into the grave and the same was done to the other three dead kits. It was a very grim silence as you and Bakugo walked back to the truck. Bakugo was carrying the carrier and the mommy had been placed inside with her babies; happy that someone had come to save her babies.
“They were well-fed,” You spoke with a sniffle, “They hadn’t been in there long enough to starve…”
“They froze to death.” Bakugo murmured.
Then it went silent. You loaded the carrier into the van, said thank you to the clowder of cats, and got into the truck. The mood grim and heavy; it wasn’t hard for the cats to figure out what had happened. You gave Bakugo directions to the animal shelter that would be caring for the cats during their surgery.
“What will happen to kits and the mom?” Bakugo asked carefully; it was obvious how badly this had affected you though he couldn’t blame you.
You cleared your throat, “I’m taking them back to Purr-ty Fur-ends,” You answered softly, “The second floor is a dedicated nursery for mother cats and their kits but this is after I get them cleared by the vet.”
“Do you deal with that a lot?” Bakugo asked.
You gave a curt nod, “Unfortunately.”
After unloading the TNR cats and getting the kits and mommy checked, it was time to head back to the cat cafe. Bakugo had to go get ready for his hero duties but it felt almost wrong to him to leave you alone after witnessing such a heinous thing.
Both of you were standing in front of the cafe; you had the carrier in one hand and Bakugo was debating what to say or do at this moment. You were upset and he could tell; your ears were dropped downwards. “Thank you for coming with me,” You murmured giving him a gentle smile, “I’m sorry you had to witness such a terrible thing though.” You sighed.
“Are you going to be alright, Y/N?” Bakugo asked with concern.
You nodded after a pause, “I have to be,” You chuckled, “It’ll take some time but I’ll get back to normal.”
Bakugo wasn’t entirely happy with your words, “If I don’t have a tedious mission tonight, do you want to grab breakfast tomorrow?” Bakugo asked.
Your heart stuttered and you smiled, “I’d love that, Bakugo.”
Bakugo nodded ignoring the warm feeling in the pit of his stomach, “I’ll text you when I’m positive I’m not being hauled off somewhere, okay?” He confirmed.
You smiled and nodded, “Sounds like a plan, you’ll text me when you get to your house, right?” You nudged his shoulder.
Bakugo scoffed, “I don’t need to be fussed over, you brat.”
You grinned, “Someone has to look after you,” You teased and gave him a firm look, “Text me so I know you got home safe, okay?”
Bakugo rolled his eyes but secretly enjoyed your bossiness, “Fine, whatever.”
You grinned even more,  “Good, now, hurry along before you’re late.” You shooed him off.
Bakugo scoffed, “You’re sure ballsy right now.”
You smirked, “You like it though.”
Bakugo shook his head trying not to laugh, “Cute,” He said with a chuckle as he turned around, “Bye, Y/N.”
“Bye, Bakugo.” You giggled.
Bakugo paused for a few seconds before turning around. You watched as he walked up to you confidently and reached out towards you. He was hugging you--holy fucking shit. “Call me Kacchan,” Bakugo murmured in your ear. You shivered and felt his grip tighten ever so slightly before he let go of you. Dumbfounded, you watched Bakugo walk away and you heard gasping and squealing from inside the cat cafe.
“Kacchan,” You murmured gently with your heart racing and you giggled, “Kacchan.”

If you have questions or anything, feel free to ask! I could talk about this AU forever
Read under the cut. I hope you’ll like it!

Day 2: Crossover
Kacchan’s life was a nightmare.
The fighting for humanity and killing machines aspect was just fine, and he enjoyed working on Earth—especially when the alternative was staying in space in that floating tin can they called the Bunker—but everything else was awful. He hated constantly having to work with a bunch of extras who were trying to be friendly. He hated how he got used to their needless familiarity, and how they stopped fearing him in return. He hated how, after years of being called Kacchan by these idiots who’d somehow decided that formal denominations were lame, his inner circuits had somehow rewired so that he thought of himself as Kacchan instead of Killer unit K20 or, ever since he was reassigned, Battle unit B20. He hated how the nickname had remained, too.
But most importantly, Kacchan hated, hated how the damn Commander had decided to pair him with shitty Deku for this new mission on Earth. Of course, he knew why he had to be with the stupid Defense unit, but he couldn’t stand the guy. Defense units in general were annoying, always getting in the way as if he needed help, but Deku was the absolute worst. He got destroyed so often that Kacchan sometimes wondered if he didn’t do it on purpose, and then, once the battle was over, he’d turn toward his partner with that shitty smile of his and ask “Kacchan… are you ok?” as if he wasn’t the one that was broken everywhere.
The worst thing, though, was that this time, Deku seemed to have undergone a hard reboot. Or at least, his memories had somehow been deleted so far back that he didn’t remember Kacchan at all. In a way, it was a good thing because Kacchan couldn’t stand the shitty Defense unit remembering the rare times when he’d actually saved his ass, but it was also fucking annoying because it meant that they’d have to go through the whole attempted friendship process again.
He’d have to remind Deku that emotions were fucking prohibited over and over again.
He’d have to explain the basic rules of working with him again.
He’d have to teach the shitty Defense unit not to argue with him and to fear his wrath again.
He’d have to deal with Deku’s obvious disappointment again and again until the Defense unit finally learned that their relationship was strictly professional and Kacchan didn’t give a shit about him, or about any other fucking android.
That was another thing Kacchan hated about the guy: his emotions were all over the place. If Deku’s eyes weren’t covered by the standard YuUEi blindfold, Kacchan was pretty sure they would start leaking like he’d heard human eyes did.
So really, despite how relieved he was to be back on Earth for what seemed to be a pretty long time, with a lot of freedom to do as he pleased in between assignments, Kacchan couldn’t truly enjoy it. Knowing he’d have to babysit Deku the whole fucking time was ruining everything.
After a successful landing on Earth where he’d managed to avoid speaking to his forced partner, Kacchan was immediately assaulted by his stupid Operator.
“Good morning Kacchan!” the round faced extra exclaimed with way too much enthusiasm through his battle pod, the shitty device floating in front of his face, just out of reach. “I hope you had a safe trip! Did you know that long ago, it would have been night time on Earth?”
“I don’t give a fuck,” he grumbled. “What’s your point?”
“Grumpy as always, I see. I’m going to send you the location of the Resistance camp. It’s not too far from here. Make sure to make a good impression on them!”
“I don’t care about the opinion of some extras. I just need to secure the resources right?”
“That’s the idea, but you also have to work with them. You’re not just here to take things, you also need to build a proper relationship with them. We need their help, remember?”
“Then you should have sent someone else, for fuck’s sake! What made you dumbasses think I was the right unit to build a fucking relationship with a bunch of shitty outdated androids? I’m a soldier dammit!”
“Orders of the Commander,” the Operator shrugged, not one bit impressed with him. “You can probably leave the talking to Deku, though.”
Oh, so that was why he was paired with the shitty Defense unit. Because that green haired freak was all nice and friendly. Great…
Round Face left him alone soon after, and for the rest of the way, he was stuck with Deku marveling at Earth and dropping shitty fun facts about humans and how the environment adapted after the planet stopped rotating, as if Kacchan didn’t know everything about that already.
The place seemed oddly familiar, but he tried not to dwell on it. Maybe he’d been in the area at some point, who cared?
The good part was that it didn’t take them long to reach the Resistance camp. It was a shitty place that barely deserved its name; just the inner courtyard of a building in ruins, with a bunch of shade sails and a couple of furnished rooms in the parts that weren’t too damaged.
When they stepped into the camp, Kacchan felt like the eyes of every android were on him, and he hated it. In his opinion, eyes were meant to be covered. He wasn’t supposed to notice that they were both surprised and curious to see them. It felt unnatural.
Despite what Round Face had said about leaving the talking part to Deku, Kacchan was the one who spoke first.
“Who the fuck is in charge here?”
“That would be me,” said someone on the other side of the camp.
Kacchan walked toward him and crossed his arms as he reached android who’d spoken, a male unit with bright red hair somehow worn in spikes, big red eyes, and a smile that revealed a row of shark teeth. That guy looked like an idiot, but at least he’d be easy to recognize.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Eijirou, leader of the Resistance,” the shitty haired android said.
“I don’t give a shit. Do you have the stuff?”
There was a flash of… something in the red android’s eyes, before he started fucking chuckling of all things.
“Don’t you think you should introduce yourself first? We’re going to see each other a lot in the foreseeable future,” Shitty Hair said.
“Whatever. I’m B20. This loser here is D9. Do you have the stuff?”
“You can call me Deku,” shitty Deku added.
“Nice to meet you, Deku. And what should we call you?” he asked, looking at Kacchan again.
“B20,” he said.
“We call him Kacchan,” Deku said at the same time.
Kacchan almost punched him.
“Fucking don’t,” he said instead.
“But Kacchan, don’t you think it’s better if—”
“Shut the fuck up, nerd! Who even told you to speak?!” he exploded.
“Ah, I see…” Eijirou said, thoughtful. “You’re the angry kind. We’ll call you Blasty!” he announced with a grin.
“No fucking way, Shitty Hair!” Kacchan snapped.
“My hair is just fine, and my name is Eijirou,” he reminded, calm and obviously amused.
What the fuck was wrong with this guy?
At this point, Kacchan was ready to fight. Shitty Hair or Deku, he didn’t give a shit, he just needed to kill something. That was why Killer units went out of production, he remembered bitterly. They had a tendency to go berserk, and the other androids were too fucking weak to handle it.
He was getting ready to punch someone when, like some sort of joke, he was interrupted by the pods, sending some fucking useless speech he’d heard a thousand times already.
Some cheesy music started playing, and a booming laugh resonated in the camp.
“YuUEi units! This is All Might speaking, on behalf of the Council of Humanity!”
At this point, Kacchan was highly tempted to destroy his pod. However, he knew the shitty little thing was fast as hell and wouldn’t let him do it. Plus, he’d have to listen to Deku’s complaints and he guessed killing the guy wasn’t the best way to ‘make a good impression’ on those Resistance extras. He didn’t see the point of all this, but he was still going to take this mission seriously.
Fucking Deku was absorbing the speech with absolute focus and fascination, and it made Kacchan want to throw up. It was the same bullshit as usual. Bla bla, the war against machines, humanity hiding on the moon and sending them, YuUEi androids, to destroy the machine invaders so that they could reclaim the planet. Bla bla “you are humanity’s last hope and we’re counting on you to do everything while we hide like fucking cowards”. He heard the same shit every day, what was the point?
“Glory to Mankind!” All Might concluded, signaling that the speech was finally over.
“Glory to Mankind,” Deku repeated solemnly, like the fucking nerd he was.
Kacchan rolled his eyes.
Shitty Hair had watched the whole thing with a look of polite confusion, and their conversation resumed immediately after. By the time Kacchan left, he was sure of one thing: he was going to fucking hate this mission.
Shitty Hair didn’t seem impressed by his attitude, he refused to call him anything other than Blasty, and he ended up sending Deku and him on an errand like they were some fucking underlings and not busy YuUEi soldiers. He never flinched when Kacchan yelled, smiled when he complained, and sometimes, he looked fucking… pained or something. It was confusing as hell. That shitty haired bastard was supposed to be scared of him, not fucking sad!
To make things worse, Kacchan couldn’t leave that damn place before interacting with a bunch of extras who were all acting entirely too familiar with him, introducing themselves and then throwing an arm around his shoulders to “give him a tour” as if he wanted to spend more time there than necessary. And worst of all, Deku seemed to love the place. Of course, he’d feel right at home among the Resistance extras and their fucking friendliness.
So yes, Kacchan was going to do this shitty task the red haired android had given them. But only because he had nothing better to do at the moment and the Commander had called personally to remind him that he was supposed to help the Resistance when asked.
As he left for the place Shitty Hair had mentioned, trying to ignore Deku’s babbling about how fucking nice everyone was, Kacchan made a mental note to teach the shitty Defense unit how to fear him as soon as possible, so he could finally enjoy some fucking peace.
Kacchan’s life really was a nightmare.

Scenario where bakugou is trying to spend the holidays with his family and a villain attacks, injuring one (or more) of his family. (Likes kids or wife, or parents)
This is the content I signed up for
“Kids! Can you set the table? I want everything to be ready by the time your dad gets home!” You shout from the kitchen, finishing up the New Years dinner you were currently making. Hearing rapid footsteps approaching, your two sons were quick to be your helping hand.
You were excited for this family dinner; It was always exciting when the four of you could enjoy a nice family dinner together, especially with Bakugou’s busy hero schedule.
“Here mom, I got it!” your eldest son, Masaya, chirped as he walked over and took the large plate of food from your hands. “You shouldn’t be doing too much because you’re pregnant,” A smile formed on your face from his kinda hearted words.
Being 12, he was already more than what you could have asked for. He was the opposite of Bakugou when he was a child and you always teased him about. Leaning down, you pressed a kiss to his cheek, “Thank you, hun,”
Masaya smiled before walking over to the other side of the table to help his younger brother set the table. “Here, let me show you where to put them, then you can do the rest,” Masaya explained as Hayato, your six-year-old son watches, completely focused. “Okay, thanks nii-san!”
The doorbell rings and you turn towards the door slightly puzzled, “Dad is home earlier than I thought.” You say as you walk to open the front door. Turning the doorknob, your eyes widened as you looked up at the familiar villains.
“Masaya, take Hayato and run.”
-
Bakugou stretched his aching arms and neck as he walked quietly along the road to his house where his favorite people lived. He wasn’t a man to be excited about very many things, but having dinner with his family was one. After settling down with you, Bakugou learned to love the small things.
Walking up to his house, Bakugou stood infront of the door, excited to hear his two sons run and hug him, to be greeted by his beautiful and pregnant wife. Turning the doorknob, Bakugou pushed opened the door just for his worst nightmares to come true.
There was an attack.
Broken plates all over the floor along with his table, destroyed and thrown everywhere. The living room was an utter mess with the glass from the windows but what infuriated him the most was seeing his sons in such a state.
Masaya laid on the ground face down, cuts and bruises on his body as Hayato laid not too far beside him, lying on his back unconcious. Running over to the two boys, Bakugou called out for them, but they were too weak to answer.
“Masaya!” Bakugou cried desperately as his son finally opened his weak eyes. “Dad, they took mom.” Bakugou scrunched his brows sadly as he brushed Masaya’s hair out of his face. “I tried fighting them off but I wasn’t strong enough to protect mom or Hayato.”
Bakugou shook his head and gently gave his son a tight hug, “I’m so fucking proud of you.” Masaya let out a weak but happy smile. “I’m calling the pros here to take you two to the hospital while I go find her.”
Bakugou waited until the pro heroes came to take his kids before he set off to find you. He wasn’t going to stop until you were found and safe, no matter how long it took.
“Give me back my wife!” Bakugou shouted as he broke down a wall to where they kept you captive. Looking up, Bakugou saw you lying on the cold cement ground unconscious. “You fuckers!” He shouted blasting himself at them.
“Nice of you to join us Bakugou Katsuki,” the villain chuckled as he dodged all of Bakugou’s attacks. “I hope you enjoyed all your gifts.”
“I’ll make sure you burn in hell for what you’ve done to my family,” Bakugou growls as he tries for another attack, but the villain uses you as a shield which Bakugou swerves from, allowing the villain to give Bakugou a nasty punch to the cheek.
“It’s such a shame we’re so high up aren’t we?” The villain stated before he bends down to take a small pebble into his hands, striking the large glass windows, shattering the glass in the process. The villain grabs your neck and lifts you up off the ground, fury filling Bakugou’s eyes.
Bakugou moves to take a step, but the villain dangles you off the building. “Ah, take a step and I drop her,” the villain informs as he releases a finger to prove his point.
This was fucking bad.
“What do you want from me!” Bakugou cries and the villain chuckles. “I just want you to see your life disappear right infront of your eyes,” he says, realizing another finger from your neck. “I want to destroy everything you love, Ground Zero,” Bakugou could feel a lump forming in his throat as he watches your unconscious body dangle outside of the building.
He was no hero..
“Detriot smash!” Suddenly appearing from the broken window, Midoriya throws a hard punch at the villain, throwing them to the other side of the building. You were released in the air but before Bakugou could catch you, a villain emerges from the ceiling and grabs you by the arm with a mischievous smile. “You thought you were alone, what an idiot,” they tease as the toss your body off the building. “Goodbye!”
“(Name)!” Bakugou shouts as he runs and dives off the building to catch you. Using his explosions, Bakugou managed to catch up to you, but how was he going to get the two of you to safety like this? “I’m sorry (Name),” Bakugou whispers into your neck as the ground quickly approached.
“Now Froppy!” Uraraka shouted as Asui threw her into the air with her tongue, shooting Uraraka up at the two of you. Her soft hands touched two of you making Bakugou float in the air while she landed back on the ground safely, waiting for the two of you to reach the ground. “Release!”
Bakugou held you in his arms securely as he gave Uraraka and Asui a nod of acknowledgement. “I’m sorry we didn’t give you a heads-up that we were prepared to rescue the two of you,” Uraraka confessed.
“The Deku and the pros have taken care of the villains up there, your kids are also safe in the hospital,” Kirishima informs placing a hand on Bakugou’s shoulder. “Let’s get you two to the hospital,”
-
Feeling the warm and gentle sensation against the back of your hand caused your tired eyes to slowly open as you adjusted to the world around you. It was dark in what seemed to be a hospital room, and Bakugou was next to you.
“Katsuki?” You question and Bakugou gave your hand a squeeze. “You have to stay in the hospital for a few days while they monitor you and the baby’s health. Your heart rate dropped along with the baby’s after the villain incident.”
Your brows furrowed from the memories rushing back inside your head. You were just thankful to be safe with Bakugou by your side at moments like these. “Where are Masaya and Hayato?” You ask but Bakugou rubs your hand again.
“They’re fine. They’re resting in another room, but they’re not allowed to visit yet until the morning.” You let out a sigh of relief from the news. Glancing up at Bakugou once more, your hand caressed his cheek, patched up with some bandages. “Does it hurt?”
“Hell no, I can take anything they throw at me,” he boasts and you smile, “Of course, you saved me after all.”
“Deku and the others helped too, I need to remember to thank them,” Bakugou says and your eyes widen. “You’ve changed so much Katsuki, when did you become so soft?”
“Shut the hell up!” He growls and you chuckle; the laughter bringing a smile to Bakugou’s face. “All I wanted was a family dinner, but instead some villain comes and fucks my family up. I’m in no mood to be soft.”
Wrapping your arms around him, you let out a relieved sigh, “It’s okay to be thankful for the pros too.”
As the morning rolled around, your kids joined the two of you in your room as they all sat around the bed with some breakfast the hospital provided. It was nice to have the family together again, even if it didn’t turn out like you had hoped. “Family breakfast yay!” You exclaimed, the two younger boys following your tone. “Family breakfast!”
Bakugou couldn’t be more in love with his growing family.

Hi! I’m gonna give you some Non-AU, slow build fics because we’re here to take care of you, babe. If you don’t want AUs, there shan’t be any AU fics. (However, we weren’t sure if you considered fics that took place in the future an AU, but we added it anyway. Pretty much anything that was canonverse was included!) Also we only post Masterlists on Mondays and we didn’t want you to have to wait a whole week. Enjoy!!!

Unfortunately, neither was Midoriya.

I looked at her with a frown, but in reality I was at the verge of tears. “It was easier to make hypothetical scenarios of how I would talk to him after all of this time. Now that I’m going to face the real shit, I’m nervous.” I confessed. “And on the other hand… if everything goes as I want it to go, if Izuku has a place in his heart for me after all of… everything… then I don’t think I will believe I deserve it, because I don’t.”

To keep her safe
Izuku Midoriya had looked at the words printed on his wrist ever since he was able to read. For him, those were the words that indicated him that he would get to be a hero just as good as All Might; because if he was, then his soulmate would clearly believe in him. However, the word Deku reminded a mystery to him; under what circumstance would his soulmate call him something like that? It wasn’t nice; he even reached to believe that maybe his soulmate was a prankster or something like that.
By the time he found out his fate of being a quirkless person the nickname printed on his wrist made more sense, but the words behind it didn’t. Why would anyone believe in him? A useless person like him couldn’t be a hero he was told that many times by his “Kind” classmates, how would he able to fight all those powerful villains without powers of his own?
One day, his former friend Bakugou caught a glimpse of the words written on his wrist and began calling him that to Midoriya’s embarrassment. It was law that no one could show their words to other people purposely, even celebrities and heroes maintained those as a secret, to avoid someone manipulating those words in their benefit. It stung him how he managed to twist something that was good or special into a hurtful nickname that sounded in his ears each time his classmates spoke to him
It took a couple years to Midoriya to finally get a grasp on those words, he had accepted the fact the he didn’t fit in the mold of extraordinary like most of the children in his age did so he had to live by the words in his wrist. If he wasn’t extraordinary, he could make himself be what he wanted to be, his soulmate believed in him for a reason, the least he could do was believe in himself and turn into a good hero, perhaps not as good as All Might but all heroes were amazing in their own terms.
All Might appeared in his life almost as a miracle, meeting him was his dream ever since he was little and now he was in front of him, willing to give him all his power looking nothing  like he expected him to look. Yet, it was better than he could have thought a few years ago, he passed from being wishful to hopeless to hopeful in less than a day.
Ochaco Uraraka came little after All Might she was a ray of happiness nearly as shy as him. Like him, she had a little trouble controlling her powers but she was naturally special like most of them, she didn’t have to wait for a miracle. Wanting to puke was a tiny consequence of being special that Midoriya was sure she would overcome.
He didn’t have any feelings towards her beyond the warm feeling of someone being nice to him after years of constant bullying, maybe that was the reason why he rushed towards the zero point’s robot that put a menace over her. At the time, she was a stranger, a girl he barely had crossed two words with, he was sure he had to step in. There was nothing he wanted more than to be a hero, and a hero always makes sure to at least try to rescue even the last civilian, especially cute girls that think falling on the first day is a sign of bad luck.
Those thoughts about her came naturally after he became her classmate and eventually friend; he never mentioned how grateful he was that she had been willing to give up half of her points to him so he could pass. Despite his fate in almost everyone he was aware not anyone would have done it, so he wanted find a way to show her how grateful he was.
Their years at Yuuei passed fast, they all controlled their powers better and he no longer feared of breaking a limb every time he tried to punch someone. Now they were all reunited in a secret base trying desperately to overcome the sorrow of having lost All Might and thinking of a fast way to defeat All for One. This time it had to be final, they had to make sure he wouldn’t come back ever again so the world could come to an era of peace.
Midoriya was sitting in his chair, like the rest of them all in solemn silence unable to be the first one to say the words to initiate the meeting like the rest of them, they had to bury him earlier, and they didn’t have the time to give the peace symbol the proper funeral he deserved.
Ochaco was sitting at his right and Bakugou was at his right staring defeated at the ceiling quiet for the first time in what seemed to be years, even him with his raging fits and his anxiousness of finally taking that man down and proclaim himself as the biggest hero knew this just wasn’t the moment.
-What are we going to do now?- Momo doubted as she was the first one to speak, breaking the deafening mournful silence that surrounded the UA’s students.
-Now- Midoriya answered letting out a sigh –We defeat All for One, is the only answer left- The students looked amongst each other in utter silence.
-No shit Sherlock- Bakugou raised his voice attracting his companion’s glances some looked at his with scowls on their faces while other turned their gazes to other side as soon as they turned them to Bakugou
-How?- Todoroki asked, he had arrived early enough to see All Might’s body fall lifeless to the floor, Midoriya was the one who witnessed everything, yet, he could give himself an idea of the power this villain carried and the odds were scary even if they gave it their best shot.
-I- I- I don’t know- In all the time they had been there, even after giving All Might an improvised gravestone that Momo made he never shed a tear, Todoroki was the only who saw him shocked when they arrived to the scene but seconds later he only stood serious as he carried the body and gave the news to his classmates waiting for the teachers who were fighting the All for One’s companions.
Ochaco was the one who noticed the first tear fall over the table when he relied on it with his elbows pressing his face against his hands. Slowly Midoriya’s body began shaking and his sobs became louder. Bakugou raised an eyebrow as Ochaco got closer to Midoriya surrounding him with a hug pressing her head against him.
The silent fell once again in the room only filled by Midoriya’s sobs, no one dared to say anything, they all admired All Might and truly appreciated him as their teacher but Midoriya had a deeper relationship with him than all of them did so they could hardly mutter anything as Ochaco silently tried her best to comfort one of her best friends, rubbing his back with her hand.
-Quit with the crying!- Bakugou exclaimed ignoring the gazes the UA threw at him –We have bigger problems right now to be bothered with your fucking whining!-
-Bakugou…
-No, he is right,-Midoriya’s voice came out raspy- we will properly mourn All Might once all of this is done- Midoriya muttered interrupting Iida who nodded in response.
Ochaco slowly pulled herself apart from him sitting at his side once again; even with his face stained with tears he muttered a soft “thank you” to her.
-We need to defeat him, but I will need the help of every single one of you, it was my mistake thinking between only All Might and I will be able to take him down and it took All Might’s life away- Midoriya conveyed.
-What’s the plan?- Iida asked leaning over the table curious to see what Midoriya’s plan would be. He was the only one who had encountered the enemy first hand, the only one who had a better grasp of what they were supposed to be expecting
-First of all, don’t let him touch you; once he touches you, you are out. I can’t think of a proper way of fighting him right now, his power is unbelievable, yet, not undefeatable we need to find a way to deal with him from the distance, hope he will make a mistake and then attack him.- There was little hope in the situation in hand, and frankly they couldn’t understand why would anyone actually think that a bunch of teens who had barely gotten their license would be enough to stop such an old threat.
Still, they were determined to at least try, no matter how young they were, the worst thing they could do was stand on the sides with their arms crossed watching a man like him try to destroy the world and succeed doing so.
-I know it’s too much and I am basically telling you to have faith but…
-Count me in!- Ochaco was the first one to interrupt him and he was so relieved he failed to notice his heart skipped a beat as soon as her voice reached his ears
-Thank you, Uraraka- He said nodding, a half smile on his face. Somehow the idea of involving Ochaco in the fight rubbed in the wrong side of him. He knew she was capable of many things that even he hadn’t discovered but the idea of her getting hurt was something he didn’t want to fathom.
-You know that my duty is helping the students as much as they need it- Iida commented bringing a smile to Midoriya’s face
-Thank you, Iida- Iida was good at taking leadership, but he also knew when it was time to give it to someone else.
One by one, every single one of them agreed to go help Midoriya against the All for One until all eyes were locked on Bakugou, when even Shinso, Tetsutetsu, Mei and Itsuka, students outside class 1-A had agreed to help everyone was expecting an answer from him.
-You are a fucking idiot if you think I’m gonna let you go there and proclaim the title of the mightiest hero all by yourself- Bakugou spat angrily at Midoriya and with it all of them knew that he was willing to help.
The destruction was far worse than they had initially pictured, all of theim teachers and heroes they might not even had heard of were fighting against All for One’s minions. It was a relief that the civilians in the city had been evacuated a while ago, otherwise everyone’s life would be in danger. Midoriya’s thoughts traveled towards his mother fully aware that she was extremely worried about him.
He noticed how every single one of the heroes were busy either fighting the other villains alone or in groups as the All for One watched the situation apart from them but close enough to be seen by everyone. The smirk in his face was obvious even if there was no mouth in his features. Everything in him signaled the entire satisfaction of watching the city crumble in front of him.
-What are we going to do?- Ochaco was the one to speak up reflecting everyone’s nervousness.
-For now, we’ll focus on his partners- Midoriya said wishing he, or any of his classmates could think of a plan to stop everything fast. –Everyone! Don’t fight alone, grab a partner and separate!- Midoriya commanded. Even if it was reluctantly all of them followed his orders rushing towards different villains.
Midoriya could still see All for One in the distance enjoying all the chaos that surrounded him. He felt guilty seeing all of his classmates fighting for a goal that wasn’t even supposed to be theirs. They had just graduated High School, all of them would take different paths now, it was not supposed to be the time for such a fight, one where he could even see the professionals struggling to defeat some of the villains.
He turned to check that everyone was doing fine, grateful that so far no one had any serious injury. Laying his eyes on Ochaco, he saw her touching a block of concrete that probably had belonged to a now crumbled building. As the piece of concrete floated, Tsuyu held it with her tongue and dragged it until it was over a group of villains. This sparked an idea on the young man’s mind whose face turned into realization.
-Ochaco, how long can you hold things on the air?- Midoriya directed his attention to the girl who let the block of concrete fall over the group of villains and Tsuyu took her tongue out in time.
-Without feeling sick? An hour or so- Ochaco answered turning her sight towards Midoriya
-Sero, what’s the heaviest amount of weight you’ve been able to hold?- Midoriya screamed, Sero tied a group of villains and held them still waiting for Kirishima to land a blow on them.
-Like three pounds or so- Sero answered scratching the back of his head.
-I need you to tape everything you can, hold it tight, tie it to something, tape it to the ground, just make some really long and some short. Make sure they are well hold!- Midoriya landed a blow in someone, while Sero nodded in response running as fast as he could making sure to follow Midoriya’s instructions.
No more than fifteen minutes later Sero’s voice sounded letting Midoriya know that he had already finished with the task at hand. After the notice, Midoriya rushed towards Ochaco who had kicked a villain with the arms of a monkey.
-Come with me- He said grabbing her by the hand, noticing that the group of villains would only delay them he grabbed the brunette and carried her as he jumped around until he found and empty truck that had probably been dragged by someone.
Ochaco felt flustered the majority of the journey as Midoriya held her tight to avoid she would fall mid-air. Once they were safe on the ground he pulled her to the inside of the truck, determined to make the plan work.
-I need you to touch everything Sero held with tape and let it float for as long as possible without you getting sick. As soon as you begin feeling sick, drop everything to the ground-Midoriya instructed, -As soon as you touched everything run here and hide, don’t let anyone see you. No matter what you hear, stay here- He commanded, she looked at him, a frown slowly making its way to her face
.-Why? I won’t stay here while everyone risks their lives- She argued a frown in her face.
He wanted to tell her that he didn’t want to put her life on the line, that he needed her to be safe above all people. It wasn’t the time to tell her something like that, especially when their lives could be linked to someone else so he settled with hugging her and keeping her from an explosion that sounded in the background and a nice “Fuck Off you Motherfucker!” coming from Bakugou.
-Because you are the most important part in this plan, if your life is on the line we crumble. I need you to be safe- Midoriya admitted. After his words, Ochaco nodded with determination
-Half of you hold onto something that has tape!- Midoriya screamed, they had to fight villains on the way, making sure that they wouldn’t ruin whatever Midoriya’s plan was.
It wasn’t until the half that was supposed to had climbed in something that Ochaco came out of hiding and began running as she touched every single thing she could so her friends could attack from above and leave an open door to Midoriya.
-I believe in you Deku- She screamed at him.
He began running towards the All for One, finally finding an open door. With half the class attacking from above and the other half attacking from the ground the land they were able to cover grew exponentially; However, the words made him stop for a second turning his gaze towards Ochaco who was trying to control the flow of the objects floating above her rushing towards the hiding spot.
He had to push himself forward to avoid running towards her and ask her if she had found her soulmate yet. Those were his words, the ones his soulmate was supposed to say to him. He tried to rule out the possibility of her being his soulmate but it made sense. It wasn’t the moment to think of that, they had a task ahead.
He pushed himself until he leaped over the nearest floating car from where Todoroki was attacking whoever he could with fire and ice, Midoriya reached the top of the car and used it to jump somewhere else.
-Where are all these attacks coming from?- One of the villains asked another one as they avoided on explosion from their side only to be engulfed by flames.
-From above you idiot!- The other screamed trying desperately to cover himself as he launched water towards the place where he thought the fire was coming from only to get his arm frozen.
The other broke the ice and looked around discovering Uraraka’s head peeking from a truck, he hit his companion in the ribs with his elbow as the other rubbed his arm adjusting to the sudden change in temperature. The other stared at him in annoyance until he also noticed Ochaco. Smiling between each other they walked towards the struggling teen.
-Hello- One of them smiled startling her making her let out a tiny yelp; she stared at both of them getting into a fighting position while she looked at the clock on her hand, if she could hold them a bit longer it would be alright, the nausea wasn’t there so she had to be fine.
She hoped she was going to be fine.
-Not talking to us sweetie?- one inquired passing one hand over his greasy hair, Ochaco got ready to fight hand to hand trying to avoid her fingers from touching each other so the effect of her quirk wouldn’t be canceled
-Are you the one making everything float?- The other one asked, sounding more threatening that the other, Ochaco kept her guard high, not letting any of them intimidate her. She had to be strong, she was strong.
-That’s not of your business- She retorted
-But you see; it is. Since you are the one putting trouble in our plans- The one with the water powers said and immediately after he a cascade of water flew onto Ochaco’s body sending her to the other side of the truck, a groan of pain came out as her back collided with metal.
With one signal of the hand, the one with the water powers stopped and Ochaco’s body fell to the ground, she had barely any time to cough the little water that got into her lungs before one of them got closer to her and grabbed her by the back of her suit.
-Will you throw your friends to the ground?- he asked raising an eyebrow.
Struggling to catch her breath she recollected herself enough to shake her head from side to side. Taking impulse she propped a kick to the guy that held her’s chin. The guy barely stumbled, surprising her how it even wasn’t enough to force him to let go of her. With a sly smile on his face, the guy took advantage of the teen’s confusion to throw a punch in her stomach forcing her to cough and hold herself as he threw her to the ground.
-Are you still holding onto it?- the one with the water powers laughed sending another fit over her. –What a pathetic teenager, look at her, thinking she can fight the big guys. After we’re done with her, the boss will destroy that green haired kid- he mocked.
Ochaco could still feel the pain hitting her, yet, she refused to just lie in there waiting for them to destroy her and then go after her friends. She picked herself up, getting into a combat position.
-You are wrong if you think I’m giving up- Ochaco said getting as close as she could to the both of them.
Seeing the one with water powers beginning to try to send her to the back once again she touched her wrist making herself float only to be held by the truck’s roof. The instant she noticed he was about to use his powers she let go of herself falling on top of him with a kick. Taking advantage of the fact that he hadn’t stopped the water from going she used his hand to strike at his partner.
She was feeling lucky, and relieved that she had ended with them until she felt the one with the greasy hair grab her by the hair.
-You thought that would stop me?- he mocked letting the girl fall to the ground as his partner stood up holding his head still sore from the kick Uraraka had given him. She was confused; why hadn’t it worked
-My quirk is mixture between super strength and resistance- the one with the greasy hair said with a proud smile on his face almost as if he had read his mind–If it wasn’t for that your plan could have smart, but for now, you’re fucked kiddo- Ochaco stared at him wide eyed as she saw his hands reaching for her.
The one with the greasy hair grabbed her wrist and used them to throw her to the side of the truck where her body collided with the metal once more sending a sharpening pain that ran along her body. A scream she was unable to shuffle escaped her throat as she fell, her head was the first one to collide with the ground and it soon began to bleed. No matter how much she struggled to keep herself awake to prove something to them, to prove something to herself, she couldn’t avoid that when she closed her eyes, the last thing she saw was the figures of the two men.
Everything began to fall to the ground forcing those who were on air to hold themselves in order to avoid hitting the ground in a painful way.
-What’s wrong?!- Todoroki screamed at Midoriya, who looked around doubtful, fifteen minutes had barely passed, Uraraka had said she could now last an hour. It was then when realization hit him feeling like a bucket of cold water.
-Uraraka!- he screamed turning to where Ochaco was supposed to be, only to have his sight meeting with three figures instead of one.
Without a doubt he leapt towards the truck that was supposed to hide her forgetting for a second that All for One was in near him and his classmates were fighting his minions. The only thing that crossed his mind at the moment was Ochaco’s wellbeing.
-Detroit Smash!- he barely gave any second to the two villains to notice that he was coming before they felt the punch coming at them.
One hit was enough to leave them both at the ground, the villains fell to the ground almost at the same time but that noise felt empty to his ears, and instead he cursed the dust he had lifted with the punch that stopped him from seeing with clarity. Midoriya looked around until he finally found Ochaco lying unconscious in the floor with an injury on her head that put red over her natural brown color. She was wet from head to toe.
-No,- he mumbled getting closer to her looking around to see if there was something he could use to stop the bleeding –No, no, no, no, no- he repeated checking her pulse relieved that, at least, she was still alive, –Please not her, why her? She was supposed to be safe. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t… you shouldn’t have been here. I should have stopped you when you insisted. I’m sorry Ochaco- He was aware she couldn’t listen to his rambling, that didn’t stop the remorse from flooding over him.
Midoriya knew he had to leave, he still had a duty to accomplish, but he couldn’t bring himself to stand up and let go of Ochaco’s body. It was his fault she was like that in the first place, now he wouldn’t leave her alone, he should have come up with a better idea, now because of him her life could be on the line.
Momo was the first one in arrive after seeing everything fall to the ground making her the first one to grasp the image of the two men laying on the ground and Midoriya holding Ochaco’s body close to him.
-What happened?- she spoke soft, almost as if it was a challenge getting closer to them creating a bandage for Ochaco’s injury.
-I don’t know- The words struggled to come out of Midoriya as he made the grasp around Ochaco tighter.
Momo held the bandages between her hands as she stepped closer to them doubtful. Midoriya looked at her as she got closer to Ochaco’s figure. Showing the item to Midoriya, he loosened the grasp on the girl to let Momo stop the bleeding.
-Is everything alright?- arrived Tokoyami with Todoroki who had to fight a villain in the way, Momo looked at them apologetically shaking her head before finishing to place the bandages over Ochaco’s head. Understanding the situation Tokoyami and Todoroki walked closer to the trio silently.
A loud explosion resonated in the background making Midoriya tighten the grasp around Ochaco once more.
-I’m sorry I have to be the one to bring this but we need you out there Midoriya- Todoroki had to take a second before finding the words to say to him, he could see how hurt Midoriya was but it was something he needed to say.
-No- Midoriya’s answer came instantly, Todoroki, Tokoyami and Momo looked between each other worrisome
-Why not?- asked Toyokami visible shock in his voice, not too long ago Midoriya had spoken about the importance of defeating the All for One and now he even refused to leave a hiding spot.
-I left Ochaco alone, and look at what happened; now her life could be on the line. This is my fault, it won’t happen again. I’ll make sure of it even if my life depends on it-
-But if you don’t go out not only Uraraka’s but everyone’s life will be in danger- Todoroki tried to no avail only managing to make Midoriya look at the other side
-I am not leaving her alone- Midoriya stated firmly
-Then I’ll stay- Tokoyami offered, -It’s dark enough so Dark Shadow will work fine-
-Will you protect her?-Midoriya turned to him, his face with a deep frown
-Of course- And with those words, even if his actions were doubtful Midoriya laid Ochaco’s body to the ground promising he would come back as soon as everything was over.
-Let’s finish this- Midoriya said getting out of the truck with Todoroki and Momo behind him.
Midoriya could feel the One for All running across his body, pushing it to his feet; he used it to grab leverage, Todoroki grabbed Momo by the had pulling her so they could go fight somewhere else, knowing the help was needed.
-New Hampshire Smash!- Midoriya screamed using his feet as leverage to push himself towards All for One.
Adrenaline rushed through his body as he flew across the battlefield, Ochaco should have been left out since the beginning. Now he would make sure no one would be hurt in the way she was.
-Detroit…-He didn’t even got the time to finish his sentence before he was caught midair by All for One who made sure to grab his hand in the middle of the punch holding any impact it could have had.
-I see you’re here- All for One spoke, his voice sounded almost relieved like a child who had waited for a birthday present for too long.
-Why wouldn’t I be? – Midoriya answered as All for One threw him apart from him, not to far though, he seemed to enjoy when he saw the younger one standing up again.
-I thought you’ll be too busy mourning your friend- It was a mystery to Midoriya if he was referring to Ochaco or All Might, but in either case it pulled a string into him
-Detroit Smash!- This time, the blow collided, causing little to none effect on the older man. It was then when Midoriya felt the blow directed at him sending him far from him. He was lucky enough to hold himself with his hand on the ground; otherwise the blow would have sent him away.
-Didn’t he tell you?- All for One questioned watching Midoriya stand up once again and walk towards him –I can return every hit you give me with the same intensity.- Midoriya walked towards him, trying to put a smile on his face.
-Then I’ll have to think of something- Midoriya said holding the hand he had touched before.
-Detroit Smash!- he tried again successfully hitting him this time, All for One barely stumbled sending Midoriya flying in the air, he didn’t have time to grab himself onto something. Already thinking where he was going to fall when he felt one hand pulling him by the back of his suit.
-If that motherfucker defeats you I’ll kill you myself- Bakugou’s voice hit Midoriya’s ears as he peeked his head to confirm that it was him. Midoriya nodded laboring a plan in his head.
-I need you, Mina, and Todoroki to reach him from different points from a distance, fight villains, keep moving, don’t let him touch you but we need to find a blind spot, he must have one-Midoriya commanded Bakugou who rolled his eyes
-You better make this work you shit- Bakugou said throwing Midoriya once again to All for One hoping his plan would result, he was willing to steal a gun and kill the other if he lost his quirk because of him.
Hearing the plan they saw Midoriya from the distance still struggling to hit a decisive punch on the enemy to no avail. They didn’t had be asked twice before they began doing as they were told while keeping themselves as far as possible from their fight.
Each of them were attacking from different sides rotating themselves to avoid being caught.
-Is it working!?- Mina screamed throwing acid to All for One who managed to move in time.
-I don’t know!- Todoroki was the one to answer as he combined both fire and ice running around to make sure he would strike more than one side.
-Look at your friends- All for One said –Are they aware of what they’re risking? I’m sure they are, you good guys like to leave the people out- He mocked letting Midoriya tumble to the front as he avoided another punch by the seventeen years old.
-Why do you even care?- Midoriya asked raising one hand in the air indicating them that it was time to stop, he probably had noticed  by now and it wasn’t worth risking his friend’s lives even if it was in order of defeating the greatest evil.
His friends looked at each other with curiosity at Midoriya’s sudden signal before returning to what they were doing before Midoriya’s request. Todoroki was the one to throw the last blow shooting a beam of ice to All for One’s right arm. The ice impacted against him and it took him less than a second to break the ice.
This wasn’t like the previous attacks, this wasn’t shrugged off or returned back at Todoroki, instead All for One even opened his hand and closed it again as if his fingers were numb for the contact with the cold. This action didn’t go unseen for Midoriya who looked at him carefully.
As Midoriya rushed towards him to try to hit him one more time, this time directing the impact to the right side of his body, All for One began to float above him. Midoriya stopped himself before tumbling to the front only to receive a kick on the back from the villain sending him to the ground.
-You heroes fight for useless things, has it ever occurred to you that things are meant to change?- he said, his voice sounded tired and empty –Of course not, you always fight to leave things the way they are, how convenient for you isn’t it?-
-It’s not about the change, it’s about the lives you’re risking- Midoriya said, charging at him using his left foot to kick him only to have it grabbed before he could collide with anything.
-Those people were going to die anyway- All for One answered twisting Midoriya’s leg until a snap was heard followed by Midoriya’s scream of pain.
Midoriya was thrown to the ground falling over his good leg, he was thankful for that, if he had fallen over the other one the pain would have unbearable.
His broken leg made it feel like there was a dagger inside him burying into his skin. It wasn’t enough to stop him, he had to keep fighting until he was dead always with a smile, people needed that. He needed to keep his optimism, for Uraraka, for his classmates, for his family, for All Might who didn’t live to see the end of the fight.
-Detroit Smash!- he screamed, feeling the satisfaction coming from All for One who knew that the hit would only reflect back to Midoriya.
Just as the hit collided with All for One’s face Midoriya made sure to scream “Full Cowl!” at the top of his lungs, he must have been worn down after the fight with All Might, because he was only able to return one blow at the time. The second hit collided with his ribcage pushing him back in a similar fashion to Midoriya who stood on his ground already expecting the blow to be thrown back at him.
All for One ended in the ground, a soft yet audible groan of pain came out of him as he stood up once again slowly. Activating Air Cannon he aimed at Midoriya who rushed to the Villain’s right side.
-Delaware Detroit Smash!- Midoriya prompted using all his power to kick the right side of his body sending All for One flying to the other side of the battle field.
Taking impulse he rushed towards the villain with his hand on a fist and a bright smile on his face. He had to keep smiling, he would not crumble.
-Full Cowl!- He hit him, this time straight in the face sending him backwards.
Midoriya had to rely all his weight on his right leg otherwise he would have to fall. He walked towards the villain waiting for him to get up, to throw another punch at him. All for One remained in the floor, his entire right side was bruised, Midoriya got closer, his guard still up he moved him but All for One didn’t reacted.
Midoriya stood silent above the figure in front of him, his leg was hurt and he could barely remain on his feet. It was done; All for One was dead, lying in front of him with no one to take care of his body. He couldn’t believe he had killed someone, All Might had talked to him about collateral damage that was impossible to stop, how a hero couldn’t save everyone. He never imagined even when All Might spoke about the man in front of him that he would be the one to end his life.
After making sure All for One was in fact dead, he began dragging himself to where the truck was, noticing Dark Shadow peeking out of it. Everyone must have been too busy helping the other people injured or catching the missing villains to take the time to go for her. Each step felt like a dagger on him as he dragged his broken leg to where Ochaco was.
It took him longer than he had expected to arrive; the pieces of fallen buildings and lifted streets were bigger and obstructed her way more than he had initially though. That didn’t stop him until he was in front of Tokoyami who immediately noticed Midoriya’s leg.
-Is your leg alright?- Tokoyami asked already knowing the answer, he only wanted to find a way to help him.
-Thank you for looking after her- was Midoriya’s only answer as he used his only good leg to push himself into the truck and carry Ochaco, as he lifted her into his arms he checked that the girl’s pulse was still stable
-Midoriya… your leg- Tsuyu began looking at Midoriya’s broken leg, it was obvious how he was struggling to lift himself up and carry Ochaco’s body at the same time
-I’m fine, but we need to get more help for the injured, we can’t know how they are so we need to hurry- they looked between each other unsure of what to do,
-Stay here Midoriya; we’ll go for help- Momo spoke up to everyone’s relief.
Midoriya stood in silence for a few seconds looking at his surroundings, he knew he wouldn’t be able to get too far with his leg on the condition it was and his refusal to leave Ochaco to someone else. He nodded in silence watching how some of his classmates rushed to look for help and other began to look around for any remaining villain.
He was left behind, Ochaco between his arms, he laid over on the crumbles of a building refusing to leave the girl and give some rest to his broken leg.. He revised her pulse once more sighing in relief when he noticed it was still stable and that the injury on her head had already stopped bleeding.
-Please be fine- he begged holding her closer, -I wouldn’t handle losing you, you’re my best friend and I don’t know what I would have done without your help. Please stay with me-
The white lights shined over Uraraka’s head making her squirm her eyes even seconds after she just opened them. She had never been in a proper hospital ever since she was little, she remembered the doctor smiling kindly at her as he told her about her stomach ache and how she would get better soon; however, it was her first time on a hospital bed wearing the proper clothes.
It was also her first time feeling something at the edge of her bed, trying to ignore the pain on her ribcage she tried to lift herself and as soon as she did the head that seemed to be asleep suddenly bolted revealing semi relieved Midoriya with dark circles under his eyes. His face lifted as soon as he noticed that, despite her groans of pain every time he tried to sit or lay down again
-Oh thank God you woke up Uraraka,- he stood up in a bolt until he was at her side completely relieved with a smile adorning his face –I was terribly worried about you-.
Ochaco was unable to say anything after that trying not to over think the words on her arm, knowing she wasn’t mistaken, she had craved those words longing for the day her soulmate would say them to her. Now that it was right in front of her it surprised her how she never thought it would be in a hospital, she had expected it would be something more romantic.
Now she wanted to smack her old self in the head for thinking that, there wasn’t a single hint of romance in those words but based on Midoriya’s confused expression he had probably confused her open eyes and sudden frown with disappointment.
-You didn’t have to worry Izuku, I was fine, just a few blows nothing to be worried about- She tried to dismiss his worries shaking her hands in front of her in a refusing gesture.
-It WAS a big deal Ochaco, I was terribly worried for you…- Midoriya complaining stopping before
-You called me Ochaco…-
Midoriya stopped in the middle of his rant to stare at her wide eyed surprised at himself, the three days she lasted unconscious he had never left her side even making“Recovery girl visited him in Ochaco’s room complaining about how she had to rush there when he could easily take a small walk to the end of the hall. He refused affirming she couldn’t wake up all alone, it just wasn’t right.
He had spent the quiet moments between his limited sleep and the occasional visits from friends or family to think. The news that Ochaco was his soulmate made sense, but it had come in a bad timing. Throwing himself to her arms wasn’t a possibility with the All for One behind his back threatening his life and potentially also including a risk on his friends’ lives; putting Ochaco in a bigger danger than the rest should have never been a possibility, yet she was the only one who had ended on a hospital bed.
-Well, yeah, I did –he began as red began to make its way on his face painting his cheeks watching her stare at him in curiosity
-I’m glad! We had been friends for three years. I’m happy you’re finally calling me with familiarity-
Her smile.
Ever since he met her, her smile was something wonderful to see, something that managed to give him hope in every situation, one of his favorite things was whenever they spoke through the phone and he could hear her smile through her voice.
-Yeah…- He nodded awkwardly slowly standing up grabbing his bottle
-What happened to your leg?- she asked noticing the shine of metal.
-Nothing big, I just got hurt in the fight; Mei did this to support me for the few months I will take therapy- he said taking a drink from the bottle
-I’m sorry- she said
-Don’t be,- he waved his hands –It’s okay, we got to defeat the All for One so it was all good- He smiled as he pulled out his cell phone ready to send a text to the entire class so they could know that she was awake, he had already called the doctor that would arrive soon.
-I’m glad it’s all over- she said relieved.
A loud hang of voices could be hear from the hall, the noise only got closer making Ochaco and Midoriya smile at each other with nervousness. Suddenly a tumult of heads rushed into the room with a desperate Iida behind them dragging the doctor trying to get them to calm down.
-Ochaco!- Mina voice stood over the rest as she rushed towards Ochaco enveloping the girl into a hug –I’m so glad you are awake! It’s good that Midoriya never left your side otherwise we wouldn’t have known until later- A gleeful smile adorned Mina’s face, a contrast to the supportive and relieved glances from the rest of her classmates.
-He what?- Ochaco asked trying to pay attention to her friend’s ramble and the doctor’s questions at the same time.
-Midoriya was really stubborn- Iida nodded –No matter how much we or your parents insisted, he refused to leave the room-
-Didn’t he send Ochaco’s parents to their home once?-Kirishima remembered.
Midoriya could feel the heat going up and down in his face with each word his friends’ spoke he hadn’t intended Ochaco would find out about it. He should have known that his friend’s skill to hold something was near to inexistent.
-He did- Momo assured –He kept telling them that they should rest and that he would let them know when Ochaco woke up -.
This reminded Midoriya of taking out his cell phone and leaving everyone inside so he could call Ochaco’s parents who had to leave the town in an emergency, at least they would know his daughter was alive.
If someone had asked him, the idea of leaving her never crossed his mind; even after they suggested it to him they had been met with a huge No as an answer and a total denial. His mom brought him food and sometimes his friends came to keep him company for a few hours; yet, his resolve had always been absolute. He wouldn’t leave Ochaco’s room until she woke up. Tsuyu once commented to him that he should be grateful to Mei not only for the leg, but also for inventing a portable device to take showers.
After calling Ochaco’s parents and hearing their cries of joy and the promise that they would be in town as soon as possible he stepped back inside the room finding that the doctor was already gone and their friends were narrating Ochaco about what had happened to them in the time she was unconscious.
-They gave us free food to thank you for defeating the All for One!- Kaminari spoke gleeful –Man, I had the best feast of my life-
-The food was really good and the people were nice- Tokoyami nodded agreeing.
-It’s a shame you and Midoriya missed it Ochaco- Momo said empathetically catching the hospitalized girl by surprise.
-You didn’t go?- Ochaco directed the question to Midoriya who until then had stood quietly besides his classmates
-Well, no- he smiled sheepishly –But it’s no big deal, really. Aizawa-sensei told me the restaurant’s owner told him that we could come back whenever so I don’t see the problem- he quickly excused; however, Ochaco stared at him remorseful without a word coming out of her mouth.
The rest of the day was spent in the doctor’s coming and going to check Ochaco’s condition and their friends’ banter that narrated loudly what had happened in the three days she had been unconscious. She felt guilty when she heard of all the things Midoriya had the opportunity to do and missed because he was worrying over her condition.
It was nearly seven in the afternoon when they began to leave until only she and Midoriya were the only ones left in the bedroom.
-You should go home Midoriya, I okay now and I’m sure your mother must be worried about you-
-Nonsense, I would never leave my soulmate alone- However he could have planned saying it, it was trash now.
He turned to face her, his face pale only to see hers burning bright red. It took him a few seconds of realization before realizing the weight of his words.
-I- I-I I meant teammate, of course I meant teammate, how could I leave my teammate alone, because we are friends!- He desperately spoke trying to not compromise himself too deep.
-Oh, I see- Her voice didn’t sound relieved like he had expected it, instead it sounded mildly disappointed, he turned to her only to see her staring at her wrist intently as if she was reading her words for the first time.
-Are you okay, Ochaco?-
-I am, Midoriya, don’t worry. –She tried to dismiss looking up from her wrist and instead looking at him –Have you met your soulmate yet?-
-I have- Midoriya admitted with nervousness in his voice.
-And do they know it?- Ochaco asked
-I don’t think so- Midoriya answered reluctantly rubbing the back of his head
-What are they like? - Ochaco’s curiosity peeked through her, making her ask something she would probably regret hearing
-Well- Midoriya struggled for a second looking for the words to say –She’s really pretty, but its okay, I’d like her even if she wasn’t. She’s also smart and kind, she had always supported me, even before we became friends; we make a good team together and she’s really bright and cheerful, she’s smiling most of the time and I get worried every time she isn’t because she is so marvelous she should always be smiling- he spoke with a goofy smile almost as if he had forgotten that Ochaco was in front of him.
-She sounds like a cool girl- she tried to hold the clutch her heart felt, of course a girl like that would be Midoriya’s soulmate, she would have to keep looking for hers. That didn’t stop the whole in her chest to grow wider –Will I ever get to meet her?-
-You already know her…-
Ochaco stared at him in confusion watching her blush on his face grow, of course all her classmates were wonderful and strong and amazing but if any of them was Midoriya’s soulmate they would have probably told her, specially knowing how she felt towards the boy to stop her before her feelings took a bigger leap.
-Who is she? Is she on our class?- Her voice sounded louder and quicker than she would have liked. The blush on his face only grew as he avoided her gaze and began looking around the room as if he was searching for something.
-Ithinkit’syouOchacobutI’mnotsureifIamnotthatIdon’tlikeyoIlikeyoualotactuallybutyoumightnotfeelthesameway- His voice came out in a hurried whisper and she struggled to even hear her name amongst the rest of the coming words
-Sorry? - She tilted her head and a half apologetic smile adorned her face.
-I think you are my soulmate Ochaco- Midoriya admitted stumbling with his words in the middle of the sentence; Ochaco looked at him, her hands in her lap without a single word coming from her mouth, her lip slightly parted.
-I know it’s dumb, but you are marvelous and probably your soulmate is someone cooler than me –He rubbed the back of his neck unsure what kind of answer he should expect from her.
He found nothing but the young girl with her hands over her mouth, her eyes filled with tears and a smile that could also be seen in her eyes, that one was always his favorite, but the tears were not.
Midoriya rushed to her side, stopping Ochaco from crying was always more important than any possible heartbreak. As soon as he was next to her she began cleaning the tears on her eyes stopping them from going down her face.
-I can’t believe it- she muttered softly –I’m so happy we’re soulmates Midoriya, I’ve liked you for a while now and I was scared you might like someone else- Ochaco confessed, her cheeks tinted in a light pink not quite realizing the weight of her words.
-I like you too- he said, -I’m really happy you’re my soulmate, I couldn’t see myself falling for anyone else- he muttered sheepishly, her face beginning to imitate his color as he began to make space for himself in her bed that barely big enough to keep the both of them together making the space between them limited.
Ochaco seemed to be hyper aware of that fact blushing as Midoriya laid on his side.
-And now?- she asked, her eyes opeing a bit more than they usually did
-I know I won’t – he smiled placing his lips over hers.
Even surprised, Ochaco welcomed the kiss with happiness, it was quick and enough to make both of them turn to the other side embarrassed, just to meet their gazes once again for another kiss, this one lasted longer, Midoriya’s heart stopped for a second before going into a rampant drumming. Ochaco was kissing him, so close to him and finally safe, he tasted like coffee and cake, curious how she always pictured he would taste like chocolate, not that she was complaining, she would have to make cake her favorite food from now one.
Slowly, they pulled apart, a smile on each of their faces, with pink tinted cheeks.
-Can I look at your hand?- Ochaco was the one to break the silence, Midoriya nodded before letting her grab his left hand as she compared it to her right; now both of them were golden instead of the black you usually had before admitting your feelings to your soulmate.
He pressed a kiss against her forehead watching her wrinkle her nose in delight, the smile never left their faces as they joined their hands letting both of them lie over Ochaco’s chest. Whatever the future could await them now, it would be fine, and even if it wasn’t, they would handle it together, like they always had.
Now, they had the security it was going to be forever, and having the other for the eternity it was more than they could ever wish.
