The Corpse Bride
For Naughty November by @izanae Day 19: Permanent
It was a sunny day.
Which was a rarity in Gotham.
Maybe, had he been more clear headed, he would have thought of it as a sign. As some kind of proof that Marinette had gone to Heaven. As the world telling him that he could move on, that sunny days were just around the corner. As a last gift from his girlfriend, allowing him to be cradled in warmth one last time.
All he could think about was how wrong it was that she couldn’t enjoy it. She had adored the sun, had sat in the windowsill of their shared apartment at any given opportunity. She said it was because she needed inspiration for her designs and there was simply more to see out their window, and maybe that was true on some level, but he knew it was more than that. She was missing Paris, with its sunny days and sunnier residents that she just couldn’t get in Gotham.
He had been thinking about asking to have their wedding in Paris.
A strangled sound slipped from his throat at the thought and he finally got his legs working again, stumbling forward the last few steps to get to her. He suddenly understood what it was like to be a zombie. He wished he could understand it better. Zombies got to be dead and he really didn’t want to live in this world where everyone he ever cared about got ripped from his fingers the moment things started going ‘too well’.
The box was heavy in his pocket as he fell to his knees in front of her. Perfect and wrong all at once.
Now that he was closer, he could see every detail. Could see the hands hugging her side, pressing down on a wound she had bled out from. Could see the broken, cracked phone that had been covered in blood in her attempts to get it working against all odds. Could see the red streaks and tangled strands in her usually perfectly maintained dyed, deep blue hair.
He took her too-pale, too-cold face in his hands. There was blood smeared beneath her eyes and long dried tear tracks running through it.
He tried to wipe it away, but the little blood that hadn’t dried smeared further, leaving two deep red crescents beneath her eyes.
His forehead came to rest against hers. It didn’t feel the same when he couldn’t feel the faint tickle of her breath fanning over his face.
A broken sob tore itself from his throat and he pulled her in closer, tugging her up against him as if somehow that would fix things. Maybe some part of him hoped that if he just hugged her tight enough his life force would seep into her.
But she remained perfectly still. Stiff, even.
And she was so, so cold.
The box in his pocket felt almost painfully warm in comparison.
He wasn’t sure what compelled him to do it. He just couldn’t bring himself to stop staring at her stiff hand. It felt empty, lonely. Or maybe it was just too horrible to think that she would never know. Maybe he felt like it would solve something if he did it now.
He fumbled for the box in his pocket and pulled it out. The deep red gem in the center was teardrop shaped. It was supposed to be a tiny nod to the beetle she had taken the name of all those years ago. Now it just felt like a reminder.
He fumbled with her hand, pulling and tugging it until he managed to get it in his lap. He stared at the fingers. They were just slightly swollen in death and cakey with blood, and he knew in a heartbeat that it wouldn’t fit.
But he couldn’t bring himself to just leave it. Maybe that had always been his problem. He was too stubborn. So he would always stay stubbornly alive while everyone around him died over and over again.
Tim laughed when it didn’t slide on like it was made to do. He didn’t know why his first reaction was to laugh, but it was.
He ran a reddened hand through his own hair – another laugh left him at the stupid, slightly frantic thought of we match! – before shaking his head and starting to shove the ring the rest of the way down. The skin stretched strangely under his hands. Blood flaked off. The bone cracked.
And then it was on.
“I do,” he breathed. “Please, Mari, I do.”
But she didn’t respond.

~---~
Jason's hesitance in the doorway was noticeable as Tim led the silent lady into the living room of their safehouse in the Coventry. This particular location chosen for its proximity not only to their base of operations, but the rooftop he'd originally pinned their guest to. Their guest truly was silent too, not only from lack of speaking, but the movement of her clothing, her steps, her shifting weight all completely muted into nothingness. Had he not felt her solid wrist within his grip, Tim could easily pass her off as a ghost. Even still, the life form trailing him felt haunting. A sense of foreboding laying like a thick blanket over the room.
Coming to a stop in front of an armchair, he pressed down on her shoulder, watching as she complied, body lowering into the chair while maintaining perfect eye contact. The whisper of what wanted to be a smile stayed on her lips as she settled, as though they were old friends meeting over afternoon tea. It put him on edge.
She shouldn't feel so comfortable with both of them closed in on her, anonymity on the verge of collapse as they scrutinized her every move.
Tim waved Jason off as the other reached for a set of ropes.
"Don't bother, she can escape them."
He seemed to mull the words over before narrowing them down to their based meaning, "You're saying she chose to be captured."
"Yes."
Their guest's eyes flashed in mild amusement before settling back into the blank void of almost smiling. It was creepy, like a porcelain doll come to life for a flicker of a second only to make you second guess if it ever happened at all the next.
"Why isn't she talking? She seemed to have plenty to say before," Jason squinted at her, keeping a reasonable distance, one hand hovering over his left holster.
Tim shook his head, "She responded to one question, then ignored the rest."
"Huh. So like a puzzle then."
"What." Tim deadpanned.
"No no, hear me out," Jason waved his hands about, seemingly catching the lady's attention as she followed the motion, "she answered one question, right?"
"Yes?" He folded his arms, waiting to see where Jay was going with this.
"So it's not that she won't respond to anything. Only to things she decides are worth answering. Whether that means things she sees as important or just too noteworthy to pass up, I'm not sure, but she seemed pretty quick to jump on Bat-wannabe and demon spawn's case, so I'm hedging towards the latter here."
A startled giggle makes both men snap their head towards the cause.
"Demon Spawn," she mumbles, earning a grin from Jason and an eye roll from Tim. Jason was just grateful he'd forgone the helmet tonight so she could see the positive reaction.
"Definitely the latter then," Tim sighed, reaching to rub his eyes, only to drop his hand back down at the reminder of the mask pressed to his fingers.
"Easy peasy then," Jason sat on a crate normally used as a makeshift table in the barren apartment, unbothered by the way it made his knees knock into the lady's.
"Sure. Easy."
"Yeah, all we gotta do is intrigue her enough to want to talk to us. And that can't be too difficult, otherwise she wouldn'ta bothered talking to begin with, isn't that right, sweetheart?" He leaned towards her with a friendly smile. One that wasn't returned.
"Yeah, seems to be working wonders," Tim mocked.
"Just give me a sec, I haven't even tried," he waved Tim off, focusing on the figure before him, "so, you seem pretty calm considering the circumstances. That got more to do with your confidence in your abilities to escape or more an interest in being captured?"
Silence.
"Were you hoping we'd use the ropes? I could bring them back if you're into that kind of thing."
More silence.
"What's got you tongue tied anyhow? See something you like?"
Dead silence only this one came with a delicately raised eyebrow and a glance in Tim's direction, as if to say, 'He always this cocksure?'
Jason lept on the action even still.
"Oh, he got your interest back there? I guess that makes sense since you talked to him first. That reminds me, how'd you react so fast when that lowlife got that lucky swipe in, anyhow? Unless you were already there?"
Her eyes slowly drifted back over to him at the lack of speech from the other, not reacting even to the callout.
"Feel free to dazzle us at any time," Tim called over.
Her lips twitched up.
"Oh, I see. Only willing to interact with little red then?"
A head tilt.
"What about demon spawn? Anything to say about him? Or what about big brother pretender?"
Her eyes snapped up to his, narrowed and... calculating?
"Think I struck a chord?" He turned towards Tim who only shrugged only to be wrenched back to focus as a tiny hand gripped his arm tightly, the previously complacent figure now tilted forward and staring him down with a hard look, flickering over his face as though the mask wasn't even there. Before he could even twist her arm away, she murmured out, "You're the second Robin, aren't you?"
Oh. Maybe calling Dick their big brother even jokingly was a mistake. Oh well, too late now,  and what did it really matter if she knew? Not as though it connected back to his civilian form.
"Yeah. You figured that out pretty quickly."
"Faked your death? To get away?" She asked, voice gruff and heavily accented.
"Died and brought back. Weird magic shit. Almost lost a bit of me on the way back."
"Should you be telling her that?" Tim bit out.
"What's it matter if I do? What's she going to do with that? She's not even from this country. Besides, you want her to trust us enough to talk, might as well instill a little trust in return, ya know? Not like we're interrogating her, otherwise you woulda taken over by now," Jason eased Tim again, his own words sparking his own thoughts back into motion, "Which reminds me, you travel here the normal way? Cause it'll be pretty easy to look up young women who've traveled here from France."
"Weird magic shit," was the deadened response.
"Touché."
"Why's your voice so hoarse?" Tim asked, finally moving forward to rejoin the conversation fully, only to watch her rub her throat.
"Not much of a talker?" Tim continued, meeting her eyes, "how long since you held a full conversation with someone then? Days? Weeks? Months?" Her eyes flickered, "Months then? Why? Why not talk? Why talk to us now?"
Her entire figure seemed to droop, caving into itself and finally she responded to him directly, "I'm alone."
While Jason seemed confused, it's like she struck something deep within Tim. Something that understood. That wanted to reach out and contradict her just so they could both be wrong.
And right as he reached out to do just that, the seat beneath her opened up in a pool of black ink that dragged her under only to close back up, leaving his hand outstretched towards an empty chair.
"Fuck, now I'm even more confused," Jason groused, standing up and kicking away the crate as he went.
"Yeah…"

Ladynoir and Stray
Chapter-1 It’s over
Hey guys just like I told you, here is the first chapter. It shows the scene when they finally defeated Hawkmoth.
Enjoy.
________________________________________________________________________________
She did it. She did it. SHE DID IT. Marinette wanted to scream in delight. She wanted to laugh and cry all at the same time as she clutched the butterfly miraculous in her hands. She was on the top of Eiffel tower and in front of her was the limp figure of Gabriel Agreste. The only indication of him being alive was the movement of his chest. She raised both her hands and showed them to whole Paris. The whole Paris watched as their beloved heroine screamed with tears running down her face,"Its over."Each person hugged and cried. After so many years they can finally cry, finally feel pain which was traumatizing during Hawkmoth's Reign.
She used her Miraculous ladybug. She felt arms wrap around her. She turned to fully hug Chat Noir as he cried. Reporters came to take their input. They both turned to the camera. Chat Noir removed his ring and gave it to Ladybug. Everyone was surprised to see Adrien Agreste the son of the terrorist standing there with red eyes."I am Adrien Agreste, as you all can see my father is Hawkmoth. I was given the duty of(hiccup) of helping Ladybug to defeat Hawkmoth. He never talked to me . The only time he used to talk to me was-"Tears started streaming down his cheeks"-was when, he he wanted to scol-scold me, wanted to tell me how disappointed he is with me." His voice broke to a point that he could no longer talk. Everyone turned expectantly to ladybug.
"I will not be revealing my identity. Chat Noir or as you know Adrien is retiring."
A series of Why's and Why not, How's echoed through the room. Ladybug raised a hand to get them to stop.
"Chat Noir's whole life has been destroyed due to miraculous. Apparently, Emilie Agreste and Gabriel Agreste used the miraculous for fun and for some reason the peacock miraculous broke. She still continued to use it which led to her going into a magical coma.Slowly all the life drained from her. His father used the butterfly and peacock miraculous because he wanted her back. Due to the same reason, Natalie Scouncer collapsed mid-battle and has been declared to be in a critical condition. Gabriel Agreste is alive and will be handled by legal methods."
Adrien stepped on her side," Don't pity that man, he used me like a tool. He was willing to kill me for the miraculous. He even killed the last guardian because he had passed the guardianship to someone else. He murdered all the people in different ways. We were mere teenagers. He still did not stop. He had no shame in manipulating his own son by using his dead wife. I don't want any connection to him. If it weren't for Ladybug I would've been akumatized. Both of us had to bottle up our emotions because we can't get akumatized. We have to lie, get hurt, we were even suspected to be working with Hawkmoth because we didn't get akumatized. Even justice league laughed on our face. We didn't even knew our powers. We all had to suffer so much just because this man was possessive. I hope that this man never sees the light of the day."
Ladybug hugged him as he broke down once again,"I have a bad news for you."
Everyone stared at her in shock."As much as I want this to end, this hasn't finished."
"What do you mean Ladybug?"Nadja asked her.
"Maybe you remember the Timetagger akuma. That akuma came from future Paris. This means we are going to have another Hawkmoth situation, but this time we will be ready. Are you with me?"
The whole place echoed with yes. "I am sorry to give you this news on this day when we finally got rid of Hawkmoth but we have to be ready otherwise we are going to suffer even more."
While she was saying this tears were running down her cheeks,"But-But always remember that Ladybug will al-always be be there for you." Then she broke down in front of the whole world. She dropped down on her knees. She was sobbing so loud that she startled everyone. Everyone saw as after bright pink light her suit was gone instead she was wearing black leggings and a pink shirt. On her eyes was a black mask. She and Adrien hugged each other tightly and cried for the first time in 3 years. She forcibly pulled away and whispered while covering her mouth with her hands,"Tikki spots on." She wordlessly swung away.
When she reached home, her parents were sitting in front of the TV. She went in front of them.
"Ladybug." Tom and Sabine said.
"Tikki spots off." Then she removed her mask. She jumped into her papa's arms.
"Its over mamma papa, its over. I don't have to lie, I don't have to tolerate the bullying and-and." Her parents asked her nothing. They knew how difficult it was for her to lead a team experienced and how hurt she was lying to them. So, they just hugged her and simply said, "Shhhh Yes, my baby its over."
Everyone in Paris were crying, all adults and children were crying alike as even it is over for only a few years, IT IS STILL OVER.
Across the world every news channel was broadcasting the news of the defeat of Hawkmoth and in space a man with a bat on his chest turned to the heroes, with a very dangerous glare he said as the remote in his hands cracked," What did he mean when he said Justice league laughed on their faces?" A man in green curled in on himself under his glare. The whole team gulped.
________________________________________________________________________________
Adrien has retired. Marinette is alone. Batman is not happy and the whole JL is scared for the sake of their lives (Shiver) Well they should be cause the black hair and blue eyes of Ladybug have awakened DADDYBATS and everyone should be scared of daddybats.
I almost cried while writing. Oh god. The wording....well.....I couldn't write it good enough cause there was so much noise in my room. Sorry for that. In the next chapter why is tim stray in this book.
Lots of Love,
Jasmehraj.

Enemies to Allies to Lovers
Villain x Villain Timinette imagine how fun that would be
"You don't trust me?" He asks Marinette, who was warily looking at her own glass of wine. She looked at him and felt a shiver run down her back. "I don't have a reason to yet."
Tim rolled his eyes at her. "While your paranoia is what rightfully kept you alive, it'll be the death of you. Know who you can trust." Marinette's brow arched at that. "I know who I can trust, and I can assure you that you're not in that miniscule list."
Tim moved forward to delicately pluck her glass from her hand but she kept a steady hold on it. He raised a brow at her. "What are you doing?"
"What are you doing?"
"Proving that you can trust me, obviously." She pulled back the glass, stood up and walked over to the side. Tim watched her with a curious gaze. "Now what are you doing?"
"Proving that I can trust you, obviously." She lifts Tim's chin up and pushes his head onto the back of the couch.
"What, are you going to kiss me?" He asks, a smirk on his face.
"Do you think I'm that daft to offer you a kiss? No." She steadies the glass above Tim, tilting it to readily pour wine.
"Open your mouth, you're going to finish my glass ‘til the last drop."
...
Why is it that Tim often finds himself at the bottom of her shoes? Literally, in this case. Tim sits still on the couch underneath the weight of her high heeled shoes, a glass of champagne in his hand delicately carried by the stem of the tulip glass. Her piercing stare seemed to burn his soul while her shoes stain his black button up shirt. “...is there anything I can help you with, my dear?”
“Fix my shoes for me.”
It should irritate him, being told what to do once again, but with her all he wants to do tease her and do it anyway. “Am I your servant? Should I call you master, Marinette?”
She shrugs, pushing her right foot harder. Tim cringes internally at the stain his cleaner would complain about. “If you want to, I won’t complain. I just want you do fix my shoes.”
“And tell me,” Tim says, pausing to sip at his champagne. “Why should I do that? Especially when you didn’t even say please. Has your mother never taught you manners?”
“Of course she did, it’s just that you’re not worthy of them.” She lifts her foot higher right over his neck and Tim’s breath hitches. “I don’t think a lady should lift their leg so high, especially when she’s wearing a dress.” Her dress leaves only a scrap for the imagination, skin tight and red as bright as his old costume, sleeve-less heart shaped-dip dress that flows down to a skirt that sways with the heavy weight of literal colored metal. She was dressed like a flame on top of burnt wood, ready to rise up and burn whatever else she wants to.
“And I don’t think we’d be in this position if you’ve followed my command.” Tim tuts at her and hands her his glass, shaking his head as he ties the black high heeled lace shoe properly. “Do I have to kneel down on my own floor or would you prefer to step on me again?”
She smiles like a nightmare in the night before it scares you, shakes you and wakes you up terrified. “Good boy for asking.” She puts her foot down and steps on him again, this time with her left foot. “I’ll have you kneeling some other day instead.”

Picture Perfect
AYO! its me back with more content for the second time this week while i ignore my other wips again. this is a lil gift for @queen-o-leen who i promised wholesome content for! I hope you like it!
Timinette/Timari Oneshot 1.9K words (not related to my other timari oneshots)
Summary:
“Tim spends a nice day in a park in Paris and takes a picture of a pretty girl.
He somehow gets an almost date out of it.”
no warnings this time. completely family-friendly. I know i surprise myself with this one too.
without further ado
He would be the last to admit that Jason was right and that time away was what he needed at this point in life but it can’t be ignored that, for the first time in possibly three years, Tim was having a wonderful day. He was having a wonderful week actually. After one too many unsuccessful cold cases and the simmering anxiety of off-world missions, his family, primarily Jason, for some reason, demanded that he take some time off and away from his unusual brand of normal. How that meant being sent across the Atlantic Ocean to Paris of all places, he wasn’t entirely sure. Alfred probably had a hand in that decision given that, as part of his forced vacation, Tim was not allowed to actually plan any of it. Him. Timothy Jackson Drake. The guy who stalked and manoeuvred his way into Batman’s house and team. The guy who tracked and found said man when the universe thought he was dead but was actually drifting through time. Yeah, Tim was not pleased about being led blind on his vacation.
At least Paris was a nice city. And he brought his camera. He figured he could use this time to get back into old hobbies and what better hobby to start up again in the city of love than photography? He’s taken pictures of every tourist attraction worth visiting by his second day and began to take candid shots of people and animals. Would Damian like the animal pictures? Maybe, if they came from someone who wasn’t Tim. Is he going to try and give them to him anyways? Absolutely not. He liked his liver where it is, thank you very much. They would serve as great bribing material however. But that’s a thought for another day.
Right now he was working on capturing what could possibly be described as the stereotypical outing with friends. He’s sitting along some bushes near the entrance of a park and staring at a group of teens his own age hanging around. He spots a brunette with thick curls of hair animatedly speaking with a guy in a vibrant cap. She’s waving a camera herself, and he appreciates her taste in equipment. Her eyes spark with fox-like mischief while the cap guy has a peaceful aura about him; like an old turtle. Next he sees a blonde, her hair is in a ridiculously high ponytail and she’s in a deep conversation with a red head off to the side of the whole group; her words are rushing out of her and she’s a buzzing bee with excitement. Another blond is in the area, but he sits in a broad patch of sun possibly napping with an open book on his chest. Very cat-like Tim supposes. He barely pays them more than a second of thought however. No.
His focus is on the quaint beauty directly in his line of sight. She’s poised up against the giant tree trunk with a sketchbook in her lap and pencils surrounding her. Her hair hangs by her shoulders in twintails and it’s a colour so dark it seems to absorb the shade of the tree. She’s scribbling furiously on the page before her and her tongue is slightly peaking out to the side. Her forehead is creased with stress lines and her shoulders hunch slightly over her frame. She’s the vision of deep concentration and dedication and Tim would be a fool not to capture her. He’s gotten wide shots of her companions but now he wants to focus on her.
Looking through the lens of his camera he zooms in on her profile. When his camera focuses, he spots a constellation of freckles across her cheeks, barely there, almost blending in with her complexion but Tim is nothing if not hypervigilant. He goes to take another photo when a bug flies into view. It’s a ladybug. It lands precariously on the tip of her nose and it’s just the thing that breaks her out of her work-induced trance. Tim is watching her now, long forgetting to click the shutter. Her eyes cross as she stares intently at the black-spotted creature and its presence seems to amuse her. She’s giggling to herself, as if sharing an inside joke with the bug and reaches a slim finger to swipe the insect gently from her nose. She inspects it and smiles a smile so soft that not even a feather could compare. He feels like an intruder. More so than one who takes pictures of cute strangers in public.
Coming back to his senses, he takes another picture, the final picture, and lowers the camera from his face. He looks back at his temporary muse and finds that she is already looking at him. Her head tilts in confusion. Apprehension. Possibly a bit of fear. Which is valid given that Tim was pointing a camera at her from across the public park. What should he do though to quell her fears?
He felt his face lift into a grin; he didn’t need to look at himself to know it was awkward and forced. A shrug of his shoulders and a flimsy wave of the camera in his hand was the only thing he did. Before he could begin to stumble over himself in apology, however, she surprised him. With a cautious hunch, her shoulders brought up to her ears, and an embarrassed smile to match his own, she slowly flips her sketchbook around and he comes face to face with, well, his face. It was a portrait of him. She had drawn a portrait of him. And she was showing him. Feeling embolden, he flips his camera to show her the screen but she’s too far away. He gets up on unsteady legs, cramped from his uncomfortable position, and begins a slow stride towards her. She meets him in the middle.
“Hi.” He barely speaks those words. They’re more like an exhale or a sigh of relief that he hadn’t scared her off.
“Hi, I hope you don’t mind the drawing.” Her voice is high and light. Like a spring breeze. She’s daintily waving at him and he sees that her fingers are rough, and calloused. Unexpected but he finds it rather charming. Before he could get another word in, she’s off like an engine. “I just saw you there, and you had your camera so I figured you were taking pictures of us and thought that if you were then you wouldn’t mind me sketching you in kind but I should have asked and I’m sorry for breaching your privacy—”
“Wait, slow down.” He fears that if he hadn’t interrupted her when he did she would run out of oxygen. Did she even breathe during her spiel? A voice in his head, that sounds like Cass, utters a soft ‘pot, kettle’ and okay, he sees a lot of himself in her mile-a-minute style of speaking.
“No need to apologize. I’m flattered, truly. You were right, I was taking pictures of you. And your friends!” he hastily adds that last part. He turns his camera so the display screen faces her and he feels himself hold his breath in anticipation.
A blush rises to her cheeks, red like the ladybug that interrupted her. He quite likes that colour on her. His eyes drift to the sketch and he’s further impressed by her skill. She has an eye for detail. He notices a bird in the background. It’s a robin. That piques his interest and lights a flicker of fear within him.
“May I ask,” he begins slowly, unsure of what that little addition could mean. Did she know? How could she? Was his identity compromised?
“Why did you draw a robin in the background? It’s lovely but I’m curious,” he finishes. He’s going to play dumb until he has more information. She seems taken off guard by the question and raises her shoulders to her ears again in an embarrassed hunch.
“Well,” she starts, but she seems unsure and the words die on her tongue. She tries again.
“I just saw it fly by and then it landed behind you. So I thought ‘why not?’ and drew it. It seemed fitting.” She wasn’t looking him in the eye and now he felt kind of felt like a jerk for baselessly accusing some random girl. Of course it was just a coincidence. This bat-paranoia was going to be the end of him one day. It’s by sheer miracles and luck why it hasn’t already.
“Oh, no worries. It just surprised me because it’s my favourite bird.” Right. Lie to the pretty French girl. But what else could he do? Tell her the truth?
“Then it’s a cool coincidence, huh?” She seems encouraged by that tidbit of information.
“Yeah, pure luck on your part.”
“What?” She seems more startled at that than Tim thinks she should be but before he can think deeper into it she speaks again and he would be a fool to not give her his undivided attention.
“Why did you take a picture of me with the ladybug? If you don’t mind me asking.” That stumps him because, to be honest, he does not know why himself. It just felt right. So he tells her as such.
“Well that would be another coincidence because ladybugs are my favourite insects.” She gives him a full smile alongside that statement and the brilliance of it almost blinds him. He wants to capture that smile for eternity.
The thought strikes him. He doesn’t want this moment to end. He knows by the Friday of next week he’ll be flying back to Gotham where it’s business as usual and Red Robin won’t have time for commitments and puppy love. But right now? Right now Tim Drake is on vacation with a week and half left and all the time in the world to entertain the idea of a spring romance. Making the decision, he goes for it and takes the chance.
“I was getting a bit hungry. Do you know anywhere that’s good to eat at?” It’s an offer, open to interpretation. If she just lists some place, he knows where her interests lay. If she offers to escort him somewhere, then she’s taken the bait for exactly what it is, an invitation for more; whatever more is. He hopes she takes the bait.
“Yes I do actually! My parents own a bakery just outside the park.” Her enthusiasm is uplifting and the offer of a place so personal is a good sign in Tim’s book. “Let me show the way, and I could join you if you would like.”
“Perfect. That’s wonderful. It will be my treat since you’re going out of your way on my account.”
“Nonsense. Like I said, it’s my parents’ bakery. They’ll be more than happy to give some complimentary snacks.” She loops her arm around his and begins to drag him to the park gate. She’s strong and her grip is firm and Tim feels lightheaded at the ease with which she pulls him. He can’t help but be swept up in the tides that is this girl.
“I’m Tim, by the way. Tim Drake.” He offers his name, something he should have done at the beginning.
She looks back at him over her shoulder and he’s caught up in the oceans of her eyes. They’re alight with joy.
“Nice to meet you, Tim. I’m Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
“Nice to meet you too.”
They’re almost by the bakery now, he can smell the fresh baked goods from here, and he can’t wait to sit down and get to know this girl better. Maybe get her number by the end of their lunch.
Yeah. Tim was having a wonderful day.

Stalker x Stalker, Part 1
Part 1/13, 51.3k words
Next part
Guys, I'm a whole five layers into procrastinating right now. Procrastinating my schoolwork with Alternate Ending, Alternate Ending with Miraculous TikTok, Miraculous TikTok with house chores, and house chores with this... it's like when you do something long enough in a game and you level up at it except instead of getting really good at jumping I'm extremely productive in the worst ways
Nonetheless have some Timinette

When Tim learned that his favorite designer was moving to Gotham, he had been conflicted.
On one hand, she was coming to Gotham! Things he ordered wouldn’t take what felt like years to arrive! There was a chance of actually seeing her in person!
On the other hand, why would anyone even want to move to Gotham? Sure, Tim had never left despite his wealth, but only because he’d gotten Stockholm Syndrome-d into liking the place by the time he was legally able to leave. MDC had no such attachments. If she was moving to America then why not pick Metropo -- ew, actually, no, fuck Metropolis -- somewhere safe?
He tipped his head back against the couch to stare at the ceiling for a moment, mulling over his options in his mind.
He sighed and pulled his laptop to himself. He’d watch her for a bit to make sure she adjusted well to Gotham and that would be the end of it.
~
Marinette hummed as she fell back on her new bed.
It had been a long few months for her. She’d thought she’d be happy when Hawkmoth was finally defeated but, in the end, she’d just been bored. It turns out that adrenaline and dopamine are hard to get when your brain is wired for only using them in life-or-death situations.
And what better place to experience life-or-death situations than Gotham?
Of course, it wasn’t as consistent as Paris’ one or two akumas a day, but she could make do. One scrap of adrenaline a week was better than none at all.
So far, though, she hadn't had much of a chance to get that adrenaline. She’d spent the first seven days moving in. Obsessing over what color drapes she should use, obsessing even more about the locks she needed to put on her windows…
But now she was done with all that. And she had underestimated the time it would take to get settled in so she wasn’t going to be getting any commissions for the next week or so. Which meant the boredom was back tenfold.
Until, suddenly, it wasn’t. High-pitched screaming started up, growing in intensity until it was practically rocking the foundations.
Marinette ran to the window and her face lit up when she saw a green gas slowly rolling over the city and heading her way. “YES!”
Tikki gave her a disapproving look.
“I mean… oh nooooo those people are so scared I guess I’ll have to help them.”
She smiled ‘innocently’ at her kwami before grabbing her purse and ducking out her door. She looked around and saw all her fellow tenants looking confused.
“It’s just fear gas, right?” One of them asked.
She didn’t know why they were asking her, she was just even less likely to know what was going on than they were, but she answered nonetheless: “You’d think so, but everyone has gas masks, so… there’s probably something else going on.”
Her neighbors exchanged grim looks before disappearing into their houses.
She shrugged to herself and locked her door. They were dealing with it, probably.
She found a dark alley and did a quick glance around -- left, right, right, left -- before mumbling to transform.
(She made sure that every part of her was covered, despite not really liking the look of it, because there was no way she was just going to step into an unknown gas without making sure that it wasn’t going to hurt her.)
Marinette hesitantly walked towards the green cloud despite her instincts and the people around her yelling that it was a very, very bad idea. She couldn’t feel anything, thank the kwamis, but her suit was steaming which was decidedly not good. She stepped further inside, her skin crawling (she had to hope this was unrelated to whatever acid was in the air).
She kept her gaze up determinedly to avoid looking at all the quickly decaying bodies on the ground as she slipped through the cloud in search of the source of the gas.
She came upon Poison Ivy after an hour of searching. She was, predictably, sitting on a giant flower. Less predictably, though, smaller versions of the flower sprouted off of it and released the acidic gas into the world. She considered just trying to sneak up and cut off all the stems, but decided against it. Even if Ivy somehow missed her doing this, she would probably just be able to regrow everything.
“Hey!” Marinette chirped as she dropped from a roof.
Ivy turned to look at her and Marinette saw confusion make its way across her face. “Who’re you?”
She looked down at her suit. Her entire torso was red with black polka-dots, her arms and legs were pure black save for red fingers, her face was blacked out and almost featureless outside of white lenses over her eyes.
“I’ll give you one guess.”
“... I don’t know. Polka-Dot Man’s daughter or something?”
“No! I’m Ladybu -- wait, did you just say Polka-Dot Man? That’s a thing?”
Poison Ivy shrugged. “I mean, he’s dead, but yeah he was a thing. Anyways, are you on my side or not?”
‘No! Obviously not!’ her mind screamed, but outwardly she just shrugged and said, “Depends, why’re you doing this?”
“Humans are killing the earth, so I found a way to kill humans without killing the earth, too!”
No one could see it because of her suit, but Marinette opened and closed her mouth like a fish for a good minute before she brought her brain back enough to choke out her answer:
“Oh. Bold choice. Really interesting. Um. Consider: no?”
Poison Ivy sighed. “Listen, kid. I like ladybugs, they help my plants, so I’m going to give you one chance here: leave.”
Marinette brought her finger to her lips, tapping the fabric over her mouth repeatedly as if thinking, and then tossed her yoyo and cut the flower that Ivy was sitting on.
Ivy gasped in surprise as she fell, but Marinette’s moment of victory lasted approximately half a second before Ivy was lifted off the ground via vine.
Every single plant in the area suddenly perked up and made a beeline for her.
‘Oh. I’m fucked.’
Marinette jumped to avoid the initial attack and summoned a lucky charm. She looked down at the machete in her hand and her nose scrunched. Great.
A vine wrapped around her ankle and yanked her back to the ground and she hissed out a curse as her legs protested the harsh landing. She had bigger problems than probably broken legs, though, because there were other vines heading her way. She looked at the machete in her hand and swung it at the vine attached to her foot.
Well, at least the machete was sharp, she supposed.
She rolled away from the attacking plants and her legs screamed in protest at the fact that she was putting weight on them, but she took a few quick breaths and bit back bile and continued on like everything was a-okay.
She looked at where the flower had been. Ivy had made a throne of sorts out of flowering vines. She laid across the armrests and conducted the vines attacking Marinette with a lazy finger.
Marinette yelped in surprise when something wrapped around her waist and pulled her away from the plants. She hit ground -- or, rather, roof -- and skidded over the concrete for a few feet before she came to a stop.
Black Bat and Signal. Oh, thank the kwamis. Help had finally come.
“Thanks,” she said shortly, slipping out of the grappling wire.
The three of them made a hasty retreat, disappearing inside a place a few buildings down. An office building, she thought as she dropped herself into a desk chair.
“How do you deal with her all the time?”
“Well, usually, she doesn’t do this much,” said Signal with a half-hearted smile. “It’s been a while since she’s been on the whole ‘kill everyone on Earth’ thing.”
Marinette raised her eyebrows behind her mask but then shrugged it off and took a quick look out the window. Ivy’s plant throne was rolling around on the ground as she searched for them.
“She’s got plants releasing something airborne that apparently kills everything but plants. Best option is knocking her out somehow. You got something in your tool belts for that?”
Black Bat shook her head.
Marinette hadn’t really been expecting them to, but her shoulders still sagged a little with disappointment.
“I can distract her pretty well,” said Signal after a few moments. “You two can work at taking her down.”
She hesitated. “It’d probably be more efficient to have two people as bait. I’ll help you.”
“I don’t like the idea of putting you in danger,” said Signal.
She shrugged. “I’ve already got two broken legs... and I think a dislocated ankle but not really sure on that one.”
“You what --?!”
“You heard me. Hurts like hell. It’s fine, though.”
How did she know they were looking at her with wide eyes when she couldn’t see their eyes?
She leaned back in her chair, twirling her machete absently as Signal and Black Bat talked.
(Well, they weren’t exactly ‘talking’. Black Bat and Signal just looked at each other and made vague hand motions every once in a while. She tried to follow along, but apparently her ability to know every language did not cover bat-ese.)
Black Bat, eventually, gave Marinette two thumbs up and apparently that was all she was going to get because Signal and Black Bat were already heading out the window they’d come in through.
Marinette sighed and followed after them.
Was it easier to dodge when there were two people? Not really. Or, maybe, Ivy had somehow gotten stronger in the five-ish minutes they’d been gone.
The two of them stood back to back, slashing and hacking through as many plants as they could, but there were far too many and they were quickly getting overwhelmed. Marinette barely managed to notice the one trying to snake around their legs before it could turn them upside down. Signal had grabbed her by the shoulder once to keep her from getting clobbered by a vine carrying a bat (which, by the way, what the fuck?!).
She yelped when she felt Signal get torn away from her and turned to watch him get thrown into a car. The metal crumpled under the impact, which did not bode well for the not metal person that hit it.
She managed to weave her way over and cut him out of the vines attempting to cocoon him, then wondered how she was supposed to check his pulse when any exposed skin meant touching acid. Thankfully, though, he stirred and his mask tipped up to look at her.
“’m fine,” he slurred.
She was skeptical, but she stepped back a step.
“Three!” Said Signal suddenly, which would have been helpful if her brain was in fight mode and not ‘help partner’ mode. It wasn’t, so a vine attempted to impale her Dean Winchester style.
The vine did not succeed in its murder attempt, but she kinda wished it did when it sent her flying into a nearby telephone pole headfirst. She groaned in pain and slid to the ground, head spinning with what was probably a concussion if the way her stomach turned meant anything.
She didn’t get to throw up, though, as something came up and blocked her throat. She struggled against the vine around her neck, hands fumbling for her machete at her side. How does one close their hand again?
Nope, those are eyes. Open those again, please. Please?
And then, suddenly, she was able to breathe again. She slumped against the wall and took deep breaths to get her lungs back into working condition.
She peeled her eyes open despite the pain and looked around. Black Bat had knocked out Ivy and was now tying her up. Signal was making his way over, using an escrima stick as a kind of cane.
She shook her head as if trying to clear it and then looked at the ground until she found her machete again. She struggled for a moment to get her body to work enough to reach for it and grab it, but she got there eventually so it was fine.
“Miraculous Ladybug,” she murmured, tossing it and watching it dissolve into ladybugs.
She blinked until her brain started working again and looked up to see Signal and Black Bat both leaning over her. She couldn’t read their expressions through their armor, but she was pretty sure they were more tense than they had been since the last time she’d really looked at them. Which was wild, because the last time they’d been surrounded by acidic gas.
“You’re a meta.”
She gave a shrug. “Kinda. You’re welcome, by the way.”
He sighed. “There’s a no meta rule in Gotham.”
“Aren’t you a meta?”
Signal didn’t answer, just offered her a hand up.
She hesitantly allowed him to pull her to her feet and she stretched out her newly fixed body. Kwami, she wouldn’t take being intact for granted ever again (or, at least, not until the next fight).
Signal and Black Bat had another one of those silent conversations and eventually Black Bat went over and collected Poison Ivy.
Marinette raised her eyebrow at the hand still in hers and Signal sighed and moved his grip up to her bicep.
“Can I take you to see Batman?”
“Do I actually get a choice in this?”
Signal winced. “Not really.”
She sighed. “Thought so. Alright. Let’s go.”
Welp. She’d lasted a whole week in Gotham. It had been fun while it lasted, she supposed.
~
Listen, sometimes you accidentally stumble across someone’s secret identity. It wasn’t like he was trying to figure out who Ladybug was, hell there was no way he could have even known she was going to show up in Gotham at all.
But then a cloud of green gas started rolling towards them while he was… watching over her and he had paled. He didn’t know if it was Joker Gas, Fear Gas, or something of Ivy’s creation, but if there were that many people screaming it probably needed more than just the usual gas mask or respirator.
He hadn’t relaxed until Marinette had ducked out of her apartment and started running away from the gas. Good. Despite her being new, she wasn’t stupid --.
Except then she swerved into an alleyway. Tim’s eyebrows furrowed and he ran across rooftops to where he’d seen her disappear. He saw her look around anxiously, checking for something. She was panicking, he thought -- of course she was, she had no real experience with Gotham’s bullshit.
He prepared himself to drop down, to be all ‘Hello random citizen who I do not know, I’m here to take you to safety’, only for red light to envelop her. He stared in stunned silence as she shifted awkwardly in what seemed to be a knockoff Spiderman costume and then headed out.
Ah. Well, now he understood why she had picked Gotham of all places.
He didn’t get much time to mull it over, though, as the gas started getting closer. He hesitated before calling it in, just in case his family had somehow missed the giant thing slowly taking over the city.
“Hey, so… bad news, guys, there’s apparently something going on downtown. Gas. Seems to work with just skin contact.”
“Black Bat and I are on it,” said Duke.
Tim nodded despite knowing that they couldn’t see it and started working on getting civilians to safety. Most of the bats had some parts of their faces or arms uncovered for reasons to connect with victims, so it was really up to Cass and Duke this time.
He worried his lip anxiously the entire time.
And then the ladybugs washed over the world and he felt his lip tear. Ah. That wasn’t great. Bruce was going to be fucking pissed about the newest illegal meta.
‘Well, guess it’s time to learn how to be a defense attorney in the half hour it takes me to get back to the batcave’, he thought, pulling out his phone…
It took him an hour to get to the batcave, which was both really good and really bad. Good because he’d gotten twice the time to learn defense than he’d thought he would; bad because he was the last one there and Bruce looked like he was about to explode.
Marinette had pulled the top part of her suit down like a hood -- he hadn’t even realized there was a zipper over the face -- and was now sitting on a railing and sipping at a Caprisun beneath a black surgical mask.
She looked up at him briefly when he dismounted Redbird and he watched her eyes narrow just slightly before her gaze returned to the bats on the ceiling.
“Since everyone is here, I suppose we can start,” said Bruce, his voice carefully calm.
Marinette finished off her Caprisun and pushed herself up to stand on the railing. “Hi. Ladybug. French hero. Nice to meet you guys.”
Tim waved at her and she smiled enough under her mask for her eyes to crinkle.
“I know about your no meta rule, but I’m not really a meta. Got magic jewelry.” She pushed some hair behind her ears to show off her earrings. “So I really don’t count myself and you shouldn’t either.”
Bruce shook his head a little. “It doesn’t matter that you’re not a meta on your own, you’re a liability to have in the city.”
Marinette rolled her eyes and wordlessly pointed at Duke, which was a good point.
“We know we can trust him.”
“We can trust her,” Tim cut in. His entire family turned and gave him wide-eyed stares behind their masks and all he could do was shrug. “She’s been doing hero work for four years, if she was going to go bad she probably would have already done so.”
“How do we know she’s the same person?” Asked Bruce.
Tim tipped his head towards Cass.
Cass huffed a little and then looked at Marinette.
Marinette shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. “Um…?”
Cass nodded slightly and then made a motion not much unlike a referee at a baseball game. ‘Safe’.
Everyone in the room visibly relaxed. Marinette, upon seeing this, relaxed herself.
“Seriously, though, don’t you guys want someone that can reverse physical damages on the team, anyways? None of you have powers of any kind except him, it’s probably better to have me for now and risk me turning later than not having me at all.”
Bruce sighed and shook his head exasperatedly. “That’s not the point.”
Marinette rolled her eyes. “Oh? Can someone tell me what the death count would have been for today if I hadn’t stepped in?”
Silence stretched for a few moments.
“Exactly. I get you’re cautious or whatever, that’s your whole ‘thing’, but kwami you’ve passed cautious and gone all the way to paranoid and stubborn. Relax.” She hopped over the bats and pulled the bottom of her surgical mask up to try and take another sip of her empty Caprisun. “Right, someone get me out of here? I’m tired of being questioned.”
The bats were all quiet for a moment as they considered this.
Tim hesitantly raised his hand. “I can take you home.”
She grinned and pointed at him. “Congrats, you’ve officially won second best bat.”
“Who’s first?” Said Tim, who was not offended.
She pointed at Cass. Cass perked up a little.
Ah. He rescinded his offense -- his not offense, sorry -- because, yeah, fair enough.
Marinette smiled and turned to Duke. “I guess you’re going to blindfold me again?”
“Yeah, sorry,” said Duke, rubbing the back of his neck. “Bats orders.”
Bruce grunted, which was B for ‘Yes, but why would you call me out for it?’
Marinette smiled and rolled her eyes. She turned to Steph. “How do you put up with all these guys? You only have Black Bat and she doesn’t talk -- or, at least, I don’t think she does.”
“Oh, there’s more --.”
“Spoiler,” Bruce warned.
Steph rolled her eyes. “Whatever. Yeah, she’s not the only one but the other two are a little… uptight sometimes. Glad to have you on board.”
Marinette looked a little confused but she nodded. “Fair. I like your mask.”
“Thanks! Yours is cooler, though.”
“They’re… they’re the same…” said Duke with a confused frown.
Marinette and Steph both gave him affronted looks.
“Excuse me?” Said Marinette, and Tim was reminded that she was a fashion designer. He silently said a prayer so Duke could get into heaven. “They are completely different! Look at the stitching, hers has a --.”
Bruce strode away, fingers pressed to his temples despite his cowl being in the way, which amused Marinette enough for her to stop chewing out Duke for not noticing the all-important stitching. She shook her head slightly and turned back to Tim.
“You said you were gonna take me out?”
He nodded slightly. After Steph tied the blindfold on Tim led her to Redbird and Cass helped her get on behind him. He made sure that she was holding on tightly before sending his family a tiny two-finger salute and taking off. She buried her face in his back.
He came to a stop outside a cafe and, when he propped his bike up, she pulled her blindfold from her face. She scrunched up her face at the sudden light and he pretended to fumble with the clasp of his helmet to hide his smile.
“I can walk you the rest of the way home,” he said. “If you’d like.”
She laughed a little. “I’m a hero, too, y’know. I don’t need your protection.”
He crossed his arms. “Oh? Then why were you using me as a shield from the wind earlier?”
“Because you assholes didn’t give me a helmet!” She said, giving him a playful punch on the arm. She hesitated. Her head tipped to the side. “Thanks for coming to my defense earlier, by the way.”
He smiled. “It’s nothing, really. And don't worry about B, he’s just a bit of an ass when people first show up.”
“Oh, yeah, thanks, I was so worried about what the guy that dresses up like a bat to fight crime thought of me,” she said, but her shoulders relaxed all the same. She glanced at the cafe he had pulled up to and smiled. “Do you know if this place is any good?”
“I know it has coffee,” said Tim.
“Ah, the world’s second greatest detective strikes again.”
He grinned. “I assume you're the greatest detective?”
“Of course,” she said. She looked inside and tipped her head slightly, considering. “Everyone in there is hipsters, so it’s either really bad or really good. Either way it’s really overpriced.”
He hummed his agreement.
She sighed and pulled her wallet out of a hidden pocket. If they lived in a cartoon a fly would have flown out of it when she opened it.
“I’ll pay,” he offered.
Her eyes widened and her face lit up for half a second before she schooled it into a teasing smile. “Wow, gonna buy me a drink and I don’t even have to pretend to flirt with you? Score!”
“Do that often?”
She batted her eyelashes. “No. I’m a law abiding citizen who would never use creepy old men to give me drinks while underage because America’s drinking laws are bullshit. I’m a hero and I would never break the law. Obviously.”
For some reason, he didn’t quite believe her.
Nonetheless, he just rolled his eyes and led her inside.

Timinette Shenanigans #4
Ehe. It's been so long since I've updated all my fics-
But yeah, I had a sudden attack of timinette ideas. Hehe. I've got such great fluff plans for the future chapters-
(Reminder: These can be read as one shots too, I guess?)
First. Next.
------
Tim stared at the note on his coffee mug incredulously.
The words, ‘You're getting a personal assistant. -Dad -B’, glared at him through the paper.
Just what was Bruce thinking?! Having a personal assistant meant having them take care of his schedule! And that meant the personal assistant would be prying into his every day activities! And that included their secret nightly activities! Which. Were. Supposed. To. Be. Secret.
Extra emphasis on secret.
He groaned. Maybe, he thought through his misery, just maybe, it was Damian being Damian and not Bruce that was behind the note?
His phone rang and he leaned over slightly to conclude his decision of either cutting off the call or accepting it kindly.
He brightened considerably, easily choosing the latter.
“Beanie! My stress relief!” He exclaimed, almost automatically relaxing. “You won't believe the audacity of the world to still be trying to get me!”
“Oh? I won't?” She chuckled from the other side. “I’d like to see you even try.”
She sure was happy today, he noticed. “Are you sure it’s wise to challenge me, little lady?” And she sure was keen on spreading her happiness to him without doing anything.
“Are you sure it's wise to be so cocky about a challenge you're going to lose, Timbers?” He grinned at their playful banter, having the luxury of momentarily forgetting his previous dilemma.
“You'd be at a complete loss of words if you even heard half of the unfortunate things that's happened to me.” He was rolling around in his chair by now. “You'd be at my feet, begging for me to stop with my tales.”
“We’ll see who's going to be begging soon enough.” She huffed, stubbornly. He could practically imagine her pouting with her arms crossed in defiance. He stopped his rather impressive chair rolling at the windows.
“Soon..?” He frowned. “Our ten minute coffee meet isn't for another two hours.”
She sighed disappointingly. “Our ten minute coffee meet.” He noted the slight dissatisfaction in her tone. “Isn't it depressing? Having so little time to meet each other?”
He slumped against his chair, lazily eyeing the people moving about from below. “Yeah.” He sighed in agreement. “My hectic schedule does give me more headaches. And a longing to see you every minute.”
Maybe having a personal assistant wouldn't be too bad. That is, if they could make time for him to meet her.
“Exactly!” She exclaimed. “It's no good for you health! Both mental and physical!” She chided, her worry spreading through her voice. It was...nice. Knowing she cared so much.
“It feels like there's more to what you want to say.” His eyes narrowed suspiciously, before his eye caught sight of danger from below. Alerting security to escort Damian and his pets away from the building as he noticed them from behind the safety of his windows.
He heard a nervous chuckle. Oh, no. This gave off strange vibes. “About that.” She took a deep breath, as though preparing herself to meet the worst. “I think...”
He held his breath.
“…I'll tell you after you we check whether I believe the audacity of the world for still trying to get to you.”
He exhaled. “You just had to put me on the edge of my seat like that, didn't you?”
“I made it that far?!” He could hear the smug grin she was wearing. “A new record!”
He bit back the small smile creeping up on him. “For sure.” His eyes flitted back to the note stuck to his mug for a short second. “So, the thing is,”
“Is..?”
“I'm getting a personal assistant! ” He cried, devastated. “Imagine the horrors!”
The other end on the phone fell silent.
“Oh nooo.” She whispered sarcastically. “Oh, poor Timmy! He didn't even stand a chance against the world! I sure can't believe the audacity.”
“Oh, hush.” He grumbled. “You wouldn't understand the terror.” A lady in a dark red suit got out of her car. A new employee, he considered. Or worse, his personal assistant.
“I don't know, a personal assistant sounds pretty nice.” Weird, she sounded strangely defensive.
The lady in red stopped mid-way. Suspicious behavior. Maybe he should call security.
“Oh, and remember the thing I had to tell you?” He perked. “Well, it happens to be relatedtoyourpersonalassistant.”
“Wha-” The lady in red looked up, directing her gaze at him. He didn't know how, but he knew it was him she was looking at.
“I’m your personal assistant now, Tim.” Marinette's voice came. The lady in red waved, a phone in one hand. “A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Drake!”

~---~
It took weeks of circling. Of near misses and almost run-ins to find the figure from before. Only, Tim didn't find them. Jason happened upon them on a solo patrol through the Bowery. While he'd been dealing with the new Batman.
The two had been yelling at each other, circling without actually attacking. Tim had been on his own route, avoiding the conflict entirely so as not to face Dick after their falling out months prior. Let Jason handle it for now.
Only for Jason to mutter into their com link the one line he knew would get Red Robin's attention.
"That thing is here."
Coming to a full stop, he rolled the words over in his head, seeing if this was just a ploy to trick him into helping or a legitimate sighting. Hesitantly he responded, "Are you sure?"
"Red eyed, shapeless figure that seems tiny yet larger than life. Yeah, pretty sure it's them. Plus, asshat's staring at them too."
"What are they doing?" He inquired, already adjusting his footing to guide him back towards Hood's location.
"Crouching above us, narrowing its eyes and tilting its head. Not engaging but I doubt that'll last with Dickhead yelling at it."
"I'm almost there."
"The Demon Brat is sneaking up behind it," was his only response.
Finally coming into view of where the others were, he arrived just in time to see Robin get launched into Batman, where he was barely caught and held upright.
Parts of his suit seemed tattered and burnt in a weird shattering effect. All eyes remained on the figure, now with its hands stretched out where Robin had been moments before.
A curling, deadened voice murmured into the silence, "Oh how wonderful. You brought Pre-K Bundy with you."
The silence broke with a rough snort from Hood who bent at the waist in laughter at the unexpected first words.
Batman took one menacing step forward only for the figure to grouse out, "You're not him."
All movement ceased once more.
"The step isn't right. The protectiveness. The grip, the scowl, the voice. None of it is quite right. But most telling, your energy is completely wrong."
"What are you-"
"The first Robin then? That's the pushover, right? Second died and the third is on the roof above me. So you must be the first. What happened to your abuser? He abandon you?"
The hum of an air conditioning unit kicked up as the light turned green in the street below. An engine roared as it accelerated forward. A voice passed in the alley off to their side. Somewhere dogs were barking.
Nobody spoke, eyes shifting between the older three to see who would react first. Who would give it away. No one was surprised by the answer.
"He died," Robin spit out, 'Batman' grimacing at the admission but failing to admonish the child. Again.
"Oh. Figures. So did mine."
"What?" Batman responded now.
"Why not live your own life then?"
"I-"
"And stop trying to control others?" They continued, staring directly at the false Batman now.
"I'm not-"
"You drove your own family away and continued the cycle of abuse. I can't see where that sentence could possibly be going that would defend you in any way that mattered."
"Would you-"
"Oh well."
"You will not speak-"
"You're not who I'm here for anyways. Good luck with your crippling dependency on a dead man's legacy," the figure turned, making eye contact with Red Robin in the process.
Their… no, her. Her eyes widened, body shivering out of focus for a moment, a hint of something more than the apathetic creature they'd been presented with peaking through before shutting him out all at once.
She knew he was here, so why did she seem so taken off guard by him? Hunching forward he saw the direction she melded out of existence towards and took off in pursuit. He might not be able to see or hear her, but he could still try and follow.
"Red, get back here!" Yelled out behind him from their oldest, a tantrum following the figure's final words from the smallest of them. Hood simply clicked on the link and reminded him to report in within the next three hours. Preferably upon finding something of interest.
Nothing prepared him for the type of chase he was giving. The person seemed to appear a block ahead of him only to take note of his pursuit and disappear once more. Only, she wasn't disappearing.
She was traveling through dark patches. Almost like pools of black that appeared and swallowed her whole only to reappear further away.
Like mini portals only more pinpointed and liquid than he'd ever seen. Not like Raven then. Another appearance further ahead and he sped up.
She glanced back to see him gaining, but. Her features didn't twist or jump in surprise or fear or anything he expected. They almost seemed to smile without the smile. Like the chase was what she wanted. What she hoped for. It put him on edge.
It put him more on edge when he caught up to her far sooner than he should've.
Grabbing a shoulder, he yanked her around and dropped a leg out from under her, following down to pin the now very obviously small figure to the concrete, breath heavy and mingling in the condensed space between them.
"What are you?"
She stared at him, lips parting without words, a look of awe spreading out on full display for him.
"Who are you?" He pressed, leaning his weight further into her. She whispered an answer. Just one.
"No one."
"No one?"
Only silence met him. Maybe it was the wrong question.
"Who were you then?"
Her lips closed on a serene smile and she just relaxed into the ground. She could escape. He knows she could. But she isn't. She's just letting him stay there as though the situation was in his control. As though she were allowing him to be in control. It both frustrated and pleased him in a way that made exactly no sense. Staring her down, careful not to give anything away, he touched his mic.
"Hood. I'm taking her in."

Ladynoir and Stray
Training
Hey guys I am so excited eeep. Did you know batman is used as the standard measurement of kawaii? Poor Selina.
Here's the training phase and talking with Justice League. Chapter 3
________________________________________________________________
Gabriel was arrested. Lila Rossi was confirmed to be a pathological liar and helping a terrorist. Since she was old enough, she and Gabriel were sent to prison. Paris celebrated whole day and night. Everyone were genuinely happy. Ladybug gave her statement in the trial. She was about to go home when their was a sound of some jet? She turned in the direction of the voice. There in all their glory, were standing the Justice League. When they saw her Wonder Woman came forward and bowed, "It's an honor to meet the ladybug. We are here to talk about our ignorance to the subject."
"Its wonderful to meet you too Wonder Woman." She replied with a blank face.
Wonder Woman returned to her previous place and all of them glared at Green Lantern. He slowly came forward, looking like a kicked puppy.
"I apologize for..."He muttered.
"What?"Ladybug asked confusion clear on her face.
Batman came forward and glared at Green Lantern growling,"Green Lantern!"
He stood straighter,"I am doing it bats, geez."
He slowly faced Ladybug and started looking at his shoes," I apologize for thinking that a weird butterfly guy with evil butterflies and to two teenage heroes in spandex looking like furriers was just a prank and I didn't pass the information further to the rest of the league. I am sincerely sorry."
"At least you apologized, I forgive you but I don't know if Paris wants to forgive you."Ladybug replied smiling a little.
Batman came forward,"We heard that this situation is going to occur again in near future. We must go into a much private place to discuss this further."
"I think that will be the best."
They went inside the jet where they sat on their respective seats,"Ladybug first we must apologize for not helping you as you fought all these years without any training. I would like to offer you to train with me and my team for the threat that will come in near future."
Ladybug thought it,"I have to go to The Guardian's temple first. And I will be happy to join you."
Batman nodded. Then Wonder Woman spoke," My mother Hipployta was the former Ladybug. I could also take you to her, so that she can teach you about ladybug's hidden powers and moves which she discovered on her own. She will be very happy to meet you."
Ladybug perked up."Thank you for the offer. I think I can spend the first year practicing at Guardian Temple and with Queen Hipployta. In the next year, I can train with batman for further experience in the field."
Everyone nodded."That would be the best."
Flash started,"She can join the Justice League after that."
Ladybug flushed,"Me? But-"
Batman silenced everyone,"That is to be discussed later for now we must take steps so that we can capture the future threat quicker than this time."
Everyone became serious.
"We could identify the type of butterflies Agreste used and then create a software so that we could keep tracks on the butterflies."Martian Manhunter said.
"We should make sure that the people know how to calm down in severe situations and we can also start centers to teach people meditation." Ladybug said.
"Hey Batsy, Red Robin can do that. He is an expert in making such technologies right."Flash directed his statement at Batman who visibly flinched to everyone's surprise.
"I will ask Oracle."He just plainly replied.
"Why not Red Robin? And isn't Oracle the voice in your commns."
"Oracle is a person and Red Robin has left the team. We can't take his assistance."
"But don't you know his identity you can just simply ask him to help you this time."Batman sent everyone a glare.
"I will notify Oracle. Topic finished."
Everyone stopped at his remark. They discussed the pros and cons of different situation and how to catch the criminal with minimal damage. Ladybug's yo-yo beeped. She put a finger on her mouth to tell everyone to shut their mouths.
Ladybug accepted the call. A very loud voice from the other voice yelled,"Young lady where are you?"
"Mamma I am in a meeting with Justice League-"
"You promised to come back after a trial and you didn't even notify us? Its evening. How long are you going to stay?"
Marinette muttered 'Fuck' but due to the technology of the yoyo her mother heard it,"Language."
All heroes were looking at her with amusement dancing in their eyes. "Mamma I will be right back." Then she hung up.
"Sorry I don't have much time."
"It's okay we have discussed enough." Then Ladybug yo-yoed back to her home.
She discussed everything with her parents.
Next month she was at the Temple training with all the miraculous. It seems like she is the grand guardian because the title was passed to Fu when the temple was destroyed. She learned everything quickly and with efficiency because according to the guardians it happens with the great guardian and she was blessed by the Kwamis which increased her compatibility with each miraculous.
She visited Queen Hipployta where everyone treated her like a goddess. True to Wonder Woman's word she taught her many moves that not even the order knew about. About a year later she was skilled using the guardian magic.
Marinette smiled at her parents. She hasn't seen them from a whole year. They pull her into a bear hug. She happily hugged them back. She was home.
The next stop Bat-cave. She is going to use portals. She will not live in Gotham. She wants to be with her parents for a while.
Gotham, be prepared, Ladynoir is coming.
________________________________________________________________
If you are confused why Marinette only is going in Gotham as Ladynoir. It is because she learnt Guardian Magic and using other Miraculous at the Temple. She has already learnt about Ladybug with Amazons. Gotham is a very chaotic and Ladynoir is best suited for it and no one can make a connection because there are already two cats in Gotham and nobody will suspect Batman to actually allow a Meta or a Magic user in Gotham.
Thank you for reading this chapter.
Love,
Jasmehraj.

Remember when
RW masterlist
I don't even know what this is. It popped in my head so I wrote it.
Part 1-Unplanned Date
Timinette
"Stop laughing at me." Tim said to Barb. "If you aren't going to help just leave me be."
"I want to help you Timmy, but I don't believe in ghosts." Barb says with a smile.
"It's not a ghost. I am being followed."
"Are you on that again," Dick asked.
"Not again. Still." Tim said. "I'm not making this up. I see movement behind me on every patrol."
"You need to lay off the coffee and get some sleep." Dick responded.
"What about the feedback on the comms?" Tim asked.
"We have ordered new ones. They aren't supposed to have any interference or feedback." Dick said.
"New equipment will not fix this. Someone is out there, planning something." Tim said.
---
She pulled back into the shadows before Red Robin could see her. She had never meant to taunt him with her presence but she was having fun with it now. Her steps were silent in her transformation and her hooded cloak fell almost to the ground covering her suit with black that faded to a dark red ombre.
Tonight her plan was taking form. Every time he turned his head to find her she disappeared into the shadows. Every time he kept after her she left a batarang she had collected with arrows taped on for him to follow.
She stalled on a roof to give herself a little more time. She let him spot her cape whip around to give him movement to track. She watched him pick up and read it. He looked around for her and then reached up to turn off his comms.
---
He followed her and collected the batarangs. She may think he was playing her game but he was collecting evidence. He looked around for the next one and didn't see anything until there was a flash of movement. He followed and the next had a note 'they are laughing at you'
He looked around again before turning off his comms. At least now he had proof that it wasn't a ghost or all in his head. He followed to the next rooftop. He was being cautious but he wasn't worried. She was very petite and by the path she chose she was not very athletic, probably just a bat groupie who picked him as her focus.
He crossed 3 more rooftops without seeing another. He hadn't seen anymore flashes of movement. He looked around at all the nearby rooftops and decided he had lost her. One more look around and he headed back towards his route. The two buildings he jumped to next were a bit further to get to. Since he had never seen her choose a jump that far he expected she has vanished as she had the other nights.
On the third roof he saw that he had been wrong. There was another batarang. It has no arrow so he flipped it over to see the message 'look out!' but it was too late. A cord suddenly zipped around him, pinning his arms to his sides. A second cord followed immediately after tying his legs.
---
She watched him as he bent down for the last batarang and then she sprang the trap. After the cords secured his arms and legs she jumped over to where he was. She walked behind where he was struggling to loosen the cords and placed her hands on each arm as she lifted her foot to push the back of his knees until he was sliding down to the rooftop.
She made sure he sat down gently before she turned and reached in her bag. His hands were struggling to get loose but she ignored it and put a mug in his hand. He barely saw the little bird on the bottom before she poured hot coffee in from a thermos. She poured herself one from the same thermos and sat facing him.
"Who are you and what do you want?" He asked.
"You can call me Rouge Gorge. I don't want anything. You have been chasing me so I allowed you to catch me." She replied.
"I don't exactly feel like I've caught you."
"You caught my eye. Is that what you wanted?"
"I just wanted to know what you were doing in Gotham."
"I live here."
"Then what are you doing running around on rooftops?"
"Same as you, I suppose." She thought for a moment. "Although it is exhilarating even without your game of chase."
"I'm here to get you to stop. Batman controls who can run around the roofs." She didn't respond. She reached up to his face and ran her finger along the top of his mask before tracing down to his jaw. He held his breath and pulled at the bonds to prevent her from removing his mask.
"I wish I could see your eyes." She said wistfully. "I bet they bring all of this together perfectly." She moved her hand in front of him and indicated all of him. His mask didn't hide his blush fully.
"You aren't taking it off me?"
"It's not my place to do so. That's your identity." She paused and touched her ear. "They are looking for you."
"Don't suppose you are planning to untie me."
"No. I'm not." She reached to his chest straps and pulled off his logo.
"Hey, what are you doing?" She grinned at him.
"Souvenir." She replied before leaning close to him and kissing his cheek, making sure to leave a bright red mark. "That mug is for you. I think you will like the coffee too."
She reached to his belt and flipped the switch on his comms so he could hear and put the control to talk in his hand before she jumped away. He couldn't see her after but she watched until his friends came before she headed home with a flutter of her cape.

Would you be interested in a songfic of "telephone" by waterparks? I am thinking timenette fits the song best but i would love any maribat pairing.
Okay I like this song. Time for some Timinette!
@neakco
I know we only just met So why do I feel invested? And do you feel it too? Do you feel it too? I can be your best yet Future favourite regret Do you feel it too? Do you feel it too?
So I'll just tell my telephone All of the above when I'm alone.
They meet by complete hapchance.
Marinette was passing through the park on her way to her apartment. It was raining and the bluenette was dancing through the summer shower with her umbrella not caring about the fact that her red dress was getting soaked or that her hair was plastered down her back and to her face as she laughed in the rain. Marinette loved the rain, especially warm summer rains like this. Her eyes light up with joy as she danced from puddle to puddle giggling like a child.
Tim had decided to take a short cut through the park and was running late for a meeting at Wayne Enterprises when the dark clouds over Gotham decided to open up and pour down onto the young man. Cursing the sudden change of weather and the lack of an umbrella, Tim speed up trying to get out of the rain only to trip over a crack in the pavement and land in a puddle. Groaning, the young Wayne sat up trying futility to save the papers that had spilled out when he dropped his briefcase swearing under his breath as he did so.
Only to pause as he realized that the rain was no longer pouring down on him and that a dainty hand was holding out some papers too him. Slowly, Tim took them while looking up at the one who was offering them, a blush painting itself across his face at the sight of the pretty, rain-soaked, young woman smiling down at him while shielding him from the rain with her umbrella, “Are you okay, sir?”
“Y-yes, thank you,” He stuttered slightly as she helped him to his feet with a soft giggle, his heart skipping a beat at the delicate sound, “I’m Tim...”
“Hello Tim,” the bluenette giggled softly, pushing some of her wet locks from her face, her eyes lighting up as she smiled up at him, “My name is Marinette.”
Suddenly, Tim didn’t care about the rain or the fact that he was late and his papers were soaked. It didn’t seem so bad now...
Especially with Marinette smiling up at him and glowing with happiness that seemed to only make her even more beautiful.
“Don’t you just love the rain?”
“I..think I could learn to.”
