There's a reason we use the word bitter. That painful, sour taste that we have to accept it lingering in our mouth, long after what caused it is gone. It grows foul and sharper with time, festering with the anger that forced it to be in the first place

JBB’s DRP for 5/1/23: Monday Meditation: Heartbeat
Welcome to Week 17. Now is a good time to remember to listen to your heart. Connecting to the rhythm of your heart by controlling your breathing and then your thoughts is a great way to begin the new week. Let’s Go (calmly)! I think having a writing playlist is so important, if only because it trains your brain to get into the right headspace for your wip.

Okay! So! I’m on the ten billionth? edit of my book and here’s a lesson I learned: the first ten-ish chapters are the hardest because you have to set up a bunch of stuff that hasn’t happened yet (and in my experience they’re usually the most edited any way). My solution is to start around the end of the beginning/start of the middle and make a list while you’re editing of everything that needs to happen to get to that point, and then! You have a checklist of everything that happens at the beginning. And then you edit the beginning after you’ve done the rest.
