@emersonfreepress ignore hands, do not seee them. But, jock boys. Next will be Gabe and Heidi, and then Jack (kinda surprised nobody draw him, but I will give him deserved design, just need a little of time and anatomy lessons for that). Also, I can’t remember which school sport team Curt plays? And yeah, my MC is my headcanon plays as a attackman in lacrosse team of E prep. So, Jesse’s ex-boyfriend is his captain (awkward).

😂 Isn't Curt one of the ROs who'd try to sabotage someone if both were interested in the same person? Anon. Don't get advice from Curt lmfaoo
100%! And he's liable to sabotage just for fun too 😂 When Curt gets asked for social advice, he usually just goes with whatever he thinks will lead to the most entertaining results.
Do not get advice from this boy 😂😂

“ ouch! ”
you glared down at michael with a slightly annoyed gaze, feeling agitated that he kept moving around from just the simplest poke of the sterilized steal, “ will you quit moving? I didn't even push it through yet. ”
michael emerson, a rather new individual to santa carla was a teenage boy you had met on the boardwalk - well, ran into i should say. you were fairly new to skateboarding and had gotten clumsy, crashing into him and causing you both to tumble to the ground. words were exchanged —an apology on your end and him getting slightly snippy—, which led to a slight argument, before somehow an acquainted friendship of sorts formed. you only considered it to be a friendship because, two times after that, you ran into michael again. it was destined fate - at least, thats what you said to him.
he, surprisingly, happened to agree.
just yesterday he had approached you, asking if you could pierce his ear. you had informed him briefly before, it slipped out during a conversation, that you were handy when it came to piercings and such - he wanted to touch up his look, and seem cooler, so he came to you for help. you agreed, but informed him it'd have to wait since you had errands to run for your father that night.
that's why, just an hour ago, as you walked passed the craftsman store amongst the boardwalk, you snatched up michael by the arm along the way —he had been checking out one of the booths on the boardwalk— to grant his wish of a new ear piercing.
and that's where you were now; sat atop a milkcrate in the midst of a cave of sorts that he brought you to, a clean sewing needle in hand —alcohol wipes you got from a medical kit at the video store michael's mother worked at and ice from a fountain drink, beside you— and your patience, that was wearing quite thin. it's been around twenty three minutes since you started on trying to pierce your friends ear, but he kept yelling like a bitch. from what you gathered, he didn't like needles - you've barely touched the tip to his lobe and yet, here he was, wincing immensely.
“ it's not my fault it's sharp! ” michael defended, his face screwing into a scowl. he was trying his best to look as if he wasn't bothered, just annoyed by your words, but you saw right through it.
while you shift your booted feet, the small chains on your combat boots jingling, you steer your hand that held the needle to the side; silently grabbing onto his ear once more with the other. “ stop being a baby and just hold still, ” you mumbled, eyeing him judgingly. “ it'll be over in no time. ”
“ you say that and yet you're taking forever. ” the brunette scoffed, not even bothering to look at you. he was trying to distract himself from the metal that had yet to probe his skin. If he did look your way however, he'd see the look of bitterness covering your face.
“ I'm trying, ” you spat nastily with narrowed eyes, giving his lobe a sharp pinch. he hissed in reply. “ but you're making it difficult, emerson. ”
michael gritted his teeth, but didn't comment on the fact that you just pinched him. “ alright - I'll.. stop. just hurry up. ”
you rolled your eyes, but gave a curt nod before focusing in on his ear again. after grabbing another small cube of chipped ice from your plastic cup and gently rubbing it onto the spot you marked with a burnt out matchstick, you removed it, before lining up the needle once more. his earlobe was pretty cold now, so you took the advantage of pressing the tip of the needle into his skin.
michael inhaled a noise of pain, which made you move your foot - sliding the side of your boot along his own, only to press your ankle to his out of attempted comfort. It seems he took the hint, because he grabbed onto your jean-clad knee and dug his nails into the material.
quickly, you pressed harder, making sure your index and middle finger angled out on the back of his ear to direct the needle better. michael squeezed his eyes shut, feeling as the sharp tip pushed through the first layer of skin. he nearly jumped once you applied even more pressure and it broke through the second layer, leaving the male to bite the corner of his bottom lip.
usually you'd tell a person to get over it because it's not that big of a deal, but you've come to... care for michael - a twinge of sorrow striking your heart strings just from seeing him in the slightest bit of pain. it was pathetic, and quite frankly made you question what the fuck was wrong with you. you've never felt sorry for someone over something so dumb before, so why now?
“ alright, ” you whispered, once the needle punctured through the back of his lobe. you slid the steel through until the midst of the needle was in place; each side evening out through his earlobe. “ it's through. you bled a little, but that's normal. ”
“ that fucking hurt.. ” michael grumbled, his hand only twitching on the place it settled at on your knee - refusing to move, though.
you chuckled, unwrapping the golden hoop you had bought, from it's package. “ well, it is a needle going through your body. It's meant to hurt. ”
“ yeah, but- ” michael licked his lips, “ I didn't think it'd hurt that bad, y/n. ” he winced once more once you began sliding the needle further through his ear, to hook in the jewelry. “ I've always hate needles - it's just kind of annoying that I never got over my fear of them... ”
“ everyone has fears. ” sliding the end through his ear, you released it before picking up an alcohol pad. you forgot cotton balls, so this was the only alternative to clean it. despite the cave you were in, that looked as if it's lived in, you highly doubted anything sanitary was lying around. “ some are small, like needles, others are big - but regardless, everyone has them. ”
michael hissed once the alcohol pad touched the pierced section, but you ignored him. “ so.. ” he spoke through the burn, “ it's nothing to be ashamed of? ”
“ nothin’ to be ashamed of. ” a small smile graced your lips while you pulled your hand back. “ done. ” pointing over to a cracked mirror you spotted across the way, you dipped your head in that very direction. “ go check it out. I think it looks kickass. ”
the male cracked a grin of his own. michael had moved his hand off of your knee, placing it onto his own, pushing himself up off of the beat up couch he sat on. he booted over to the mirror and jeered his head to the side, checking out his newly wedded earring.
“ it does look kickass. ” michael agreed, face lighting up in awe. he'd never thought he would look so good with just a mere earring.
and, as you watch him, you come to realize you never thought that either. just a few weeks ago you saw this guy as a douchebag brunette who was chasing after a girl he had no real chance with, just to score something to have, while he was here. you never really considered him cute, or relatively interesting - if anything, annoying, even though you two were friends. sitting there now, however, it's become more prominent just how pretty his smile was. and how blue his eyes were. and how his grin looked cocky, but you knew it was just a genuine smile. and that his jawline fit him so well; the curve of his jaw fitting his face just right.
your eyes scale lower, taking in his exposed throat. It was so... strong. so kissable-
you shook your head, eyes wide. what were you thinking?
“ -n! y/n! ” your head shot up to meet michael's gaze. he looked concerned. “ are you okay? ” his brow was quirked up questionably. “ I called you a few different times and you didn't answer me. ”
were you okay? for fucks sake, you were just checking him out.
“ I'm okay. ” you gave a lop sided grin, showing you were alright. “ just thinking. ”
michael studied you for a moment, before nodding his head slowly. he didn't seem like he believed you, but you knew he was too much of a golden retriever to push it. “ well... thank you - for piercing my ear. ”
shrugging, you pushed up from the milkcrate while toying with the ring on your thumb out of habit. “ ‘s no problem. just helpin’ out a friend. ” you paused. “ even if he's irritating. ”
michael could tell you were joking around by the twitch of your lips, which made him chuckle; his own grin taking over. “ yeah, yeah.. ” his eyes flickered away bashfully. “ I'm sorry about complaining. I guess that's really out of character for me. ”
“ don't sweat it. ” a light punch was given to his arm. “ like I said, everyone has their fears... and pain tolerance levels. yours just happens to be low. ”
michael went to reply, but loud, obnoxious laughter echoed off of the walls of the cave before he could say anything; alerting the both of you of the presence of more people. almost instantly a flat, unimpressed look fell onto michael's face - it made you internally question who it could be.
your question was answered as soon as four figures came into view.
you blinked in surprise to see the faces of the infamous trouble makers from the boardwalk. santa carlas’ number one pricks that were known for being insolent, disruptive and overall crude. why would michael know them? I mean, you knew he could be a twat but you didn't peg him as the type to hang around that lot.
“ guys... ” michael inquired, raising his brows in faux enthusiasm. “ didn't expect you to be back so soon. ”
david smirked, stepping off of the ledge that peaked the entrance they waddled out from, “ michael. ” the blonde mockingly spoke, fingers raising to graze at the cigarette tucked behind his ear. “ it's nice to see you, too. ”
his eyes flickered onto you momentarily - and it spooked you. the intensity behind his gaze was fleeting. “ I see you brought a guest, ” david's orbs moved back onto michael, smirk faltering just in the slightest. he clearly didn't like new blood in his home if he wasn't aware of them. “ care to introduce us? ”
“ no. ” his tone was sharp and sounded guarded, almost. you took notice of it, but said nothing; your own gaze kept on the blonde. “ we were just leaving. ”
“ awe, c’mon, mikey! ” another blonde stepped up from behind david —when had he gotten there?— to wrap an arm around michael's shoulders. his hair was longer, however. from the glassy look to his hooded eyes, you could only assume he was high. “ don't be such a downer, man. we just wanna’ get t’know your new friend. ”
“ yeah, ” a dirty blonde, shorter than the others, strode forward with a wicked grin painting his lips. his hair was rather coily and his aura was more.. dark. but you tried not to let it phase you. “ don't be rude, michael. Introduce us. ”
“ y/n, ” michael spoke your name, unintentionally giving the boys the answer they were looking for - he just wanted to grab your attention so you two could leave, but alas his stupidity got the best of him. “ let's go. ”
“ y/n, huh? ” the stoned male unhooked his arm from around michael to saunter towards you with lazy steps. “ pretty name for a pretty girl. ” he smirked, stopping in front of you. “ I noticed mikey here has an earring now. ”
you both glanced at michael, only to see the coily-haired blonde toying with the new jewelry.
“ that your doing? ” a darker haired male spoke up this time; his tan skin standing out amongst the burning amber from the flames, that emitted from the burn barrels throughput the cave. his hard gaze was frightening, but you refused to let it chip down your own arrogance.
“ it is. ” your voice was low as you spoke, eyeing the taller man with calculating eyes. something was off about all of them. “ is that a problem? ”
“ not in the slightest. ” he smirked.
you didn't answer at first, eyes attempting to push past the dark depths of his own cold, brown orbs. It didn't seem possible, though. much like you did, he had iron bars made of pent up, raw anger guarding his real tendencies. it wasn't easy reading him - what a bust.
“ good. ” was the what you finally replied with, before turning your eyes to michael once again. he seemed to be staring dwayne down with a locked jaw - though, once you spoke up his stare shifted onto you. “ mike. let's go. ”
michael nodded stiffly, moving to take ahold of your arm and pull you close to him. none of the other guys seem intimidated, which you weren't surprised about, it just seemed pretty ballsy for poodle-hair to snicker under his breath mockingly at the action. you almost wanted to slap him.
actually, you did want to, but chose not to.
“ michael. ” the both of you stopped walking abruptly once the platinum blonde called michael once again. by the way his nostrils flared, you could tell your friend was fed up with this.
once he turned towards the blonde, the two had a stare down. It was like they were conversating with their eyes - a light blue pair, as pretty as the sky overlooking the ocean, so taunting and full of malice; the other, dark as the evening sky, holding anger and resentment. you could only guess what the trade was about, which in this case, wasn't something good telling by the way michael's temple popped with a vein. his jaw was rotating as well, lips tightly pressing together. It's almost as if they were reading one another's minds...
“ bye now, michael. ” the blonde waved, a smug, closed lipped smiled dotting his mouth. his gaze flickered onto you. “ and y/n, make sure to stop by another time. ”
you squinted in annoyance, “ will do. ”
that was the last thing said, before michael tightly gripped your arm and pulled you out of the cave.

Joy, Sadness, Happiness, Sadness again, Joy yet again, Confusion, Fear, Sadness, And joy. All things I felt during the legendary contemporary musical Spies are Forever. Im drawing every saf character once a day until I draw all 55.
Today's character is the casino manager that holds Informant's cheeks after Informant gets choked by Curt. I am unhealthily attached to this silly little manager and the Informant. I've decided to give this guy (who only has like 2 minutes of screen time max) a name

Whitman/Wilde and Curt/Brian
Okay, to @transjackfairy who so generously asked me about my thoughts on Walt Whitman/Oscar Wilde v. Curt Wild/Brian Slade (and who reminded me to turn my asks on because I’m still a tumblr newb apparently and didn’t realize). Buckle in for my latest obsessive thoughts:
This is mostly uninformed rambling based on a book I read recently called When Brooklyn Was Queer by Hugh Ryan. I really can’t recommend this book enough. It gave me everything I could have ever asked for: a well-studied, intersectional nonfiction chronicle of my hometown’s place in queer culture and history between 1855-1969. Brooklyn had an extremely vibrant queer life in that period, but it was essentially wiped out by various social, political, and economic factors. Most of the landmarks and neighborhoods associated with queer community from that period are now decades-gone. New institutions and points of queer convergence and community formed after the 1969 Stonewall Riots in Manhattan, and Brooklyn is undoubtedly queer today, but these points of convergence are often not connected to the queer world that existed in Brooklyn before then. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and gaining a deeper understanding of a Brooklyn I knew very little about.
Ryan uses 1855 as his start date for this book, even though it would be impossible to set a start date for queer life in Brooklyn, or anywhere, for that matter. “But it is possible, in the sweep of history, to pick out moments that are emblematic, turning points after which something is definitively there, where it may or may not have been before. And for [Ryan’s] queer history of Brooklyn, that moment is the 1855 publication of Walt Whitman’s masterwork, Leaves of Grass.” Through this collection of poetry, Whitman, who was born on Long Island, raised in Brooklyn, and returned to it at 26 years old, “celebrated the wondrous diversity of life in Brooklyn, the technological marvels of the nineteenth century, the natural beauty of America, and (for those in the know) love between men.” This was at a time when Brooklyn was just starting to come into its own as the “second city of the Empire” after Manhattan (NYC was not yet comprised of the five boroughs, and Manhattan and Brooklyn were separate cities). The development of its industrial waterfront around that time created the perfect conditions for queer life to flourish in Brooklyn, including that of Walt Whitman, which he then documented in Leaves of Grass. The poem “Crossing Brooklyn Ferry” immortalizes the Fulton Ferry and its integrity to Brooklyn’s thriving scene, reaches out to generations of queer people who would come after him - “What is it then between us?/What is the count of the scores or hundreds of years between us?” - and “contains perhaps the first description of cruising in American literature”. Poems throughout the book are dedicated to the men that Whitman love and that love him - young, hardy, healthy, manly, of-the-land “camerados” who could define themselves by their love of men before this kind of communal identity was fully understood or even named. Through Leaves of Grass, Whitman attempts to “create or memorialize words, rituals, and experiences that these men shared”. His language, unlike that of many contemporary writings, was less formal, in free verse, and thus “more conversational and accessible to a wide range of readers”.
Leaves of Grass was critically acclaimed at its release: “[Ralph Waldo] Emerson would proclaim [it] ‘the most extraordinary piece of wit and wisdom that America has yet contributed,’ full of ‘incomparable things said incomparably well’... the magazine Life Illustrated rav[ed], ‘It is like no other book that ever was written.’ But some saw a moral darkness in Whitman’s work, ‘a degrading, beastly sensuality,’ as a reviewer in The Criterion called it.” What it also did was provide Whitman with generations of devotees, including Oscar Wilde, who met with Whitman in 1882 (here’s a narrative of that meeting).
Now to the Velvet Goldmine of it all. My copy of the screenplay contains an interview with Todd Haynes (located in this really fun-looking website!). Haynes says, “[G]lam came out of the English tradition of camp and applied counter-philosophies about art and culture, which I saw originating from Oscar Wilde. To me, Wilde became the perfect manifestation of the glam era”. Brian is the representation of this tradition and aesthetic, an English dandy of the pop world following the path Wilde laid out for him. Curt, on the other hand, is a representation of the American hardcore elements of glam. To Haynes, “glam was a romance between a British tradition that was extremely theatrical, self-conscious and intellectual, ironic and influenced by gay culture, and an American element that was raw, visceral, sexually potent and also influenced by gay culture.”
So, if Wilde might be the progenitor of the English glam rock scene, then maybe Whitman, with his conversational, sensual, and barbaric poetry, is the respective progenitor of the American scene. Brian’s art falls neatly into the Wildean principles of beauty and artifice, while Curt’s lends itself to Whitman’s informal, repetitive, and honest style. The cherry on top is that Whitman came first and that Wilde was inspired by him, in the way that Brian was inspired by Curt; and that Wilde came to America to meet Whitman, just as Brian did with Curt.
I’d like to clarify that I’m not well-versed in either of their poetry. I’ve read large chunks of Leaves of Grass and Oscar Wilde’s collected works, but I’m definitely not an expert. This was just a fun little thought experiment I went down. If anyone wants to suggest any changes or thoughts or anything new for me to learn, I would be extremely happy and grateful :)

I finished! This was not the layout I was originally going to use. Not at all. I get in my head to do a traditional mood board and then I sort end up going in another direction entirely. Best laid plans and all that. Anyways, this is my MC Skye (yeah yeah yeah, I like the name, leave me alooooone) from @emersonfreepress. I have had brainrot since poly talks. How can I say no to Gabe/Curt? Can’t. Just can’t. Neither can Skye apparently. 🙃 No one is here for my ramblings. The MC!
Tumblr media
tfw I put a lot of work into details you cannot even seeeeeee. Closeup of the picture of Skye tho
Tumblr media
I had to have Rory check me on the eyeshadow. I know blue eyeshadow was the thing, but I had a voice screaming in my head “only hookers wear blue eyeshadow”. We decided to keep it.
I also decided last minute to add the tamagotchi. I loved that one. And the ask about them made me laugh. If you haven’t read Conspiracy in Emerson, you’re missing out!
I’m going to go back to my corner and brainrot.
Edit: Because I forgot to say, I didn’t know what the uniforms looked like. I just went poking around Catholic school uniforms and then threw it all away in favor of whatever uniform is worn in Gilmore Girls. Near same period? Maybe? Idk. It worked for me. DONT JUDGE.

Conspiracy In Emerson
*set in the near future of book two*
*a mystery is afoot in the town of Emerson, causing our unlikely heroes (or are they villains?) a rise in stress. however will they relieve it?*
*Vexx is my mc. Jessie, Gabe, and Curt belong to CIE’s author, the lovely Okomo @emersonfreepress *
Vexx pulls an old lighter and a fresh carton of cigarettes from his jacket pocket. The tension is visible in his shoulders.
Jessie frowns lightly up at him. “I thought you quit?” she said, the quiet worry in her tone making him smile at her slightly.
“I did,” he said, pausing to take a deep drag from the now-lit cig, “but stressful times call for unhealthy stress relievers.”
“I can think of a much healthier way to relieve stress,” said a familiar voice from behind, the shit-eating grin distinct in his tone.
Vexx didn't even turn to answer him, “looking to get your knees dirty, Emerson?”
A sultry laugh was Curt’s response as he came to stand on Vexx’s left. “It's for a good cause.”
Vexx rolled his eyes in response, though the corner of his lips twitched up slightly in a smile.
A scoff turns the trio’s attention away from the conversation.
Gabe was standing behind them with his arms crossed over his chest, a familiar frown on his pretty face. “Very mature of you, Emerson.”
Curt’s eyes light up at the opportunity, flicking between Vexx and Gabe with glee. “Gaby does have more experience in taking you than I do. Think he can give me some pointers, V?”
Vexx rolled his lips inward, biting back a grin. “Two gorgeous men down on their knees for me? I’d be a fool to refuse,” he drawled lowly. His shoulders relaxing at the easy banter.
Gabe’s eyes narrowed as he scoffed again, though the blush warming his skin was made known by the reddening of his ears.
A quiet cough from the spectator of the conversation interrupted the heated glare Gabe aimed at Curt.
“Uhm, maybe not flirting in the middle of a precinct might be a good idea?” Jessie said hesitantly, casting a pointed glance at the other bystanders watching the scene unfold.

Could i request (small headcanons for this request please :D) Billy Hargrove, Chrissy Cunningham, Eddie Munson, Gareth Emerson, Henry Creel/001/Vecna, Jason Carver, Dr. Alexei, Robin Buckley, Nancy Wheeler, Eleven, and Max Mayfield With a GN! Or (Fem!) S/O who has a Cyno Personality from Genshin Impact??

Thank you!! And i wish you a great day!! Drink lots of water!! :D
Tumblr media
So sorry for how long this took! I hope I did this justice, I don't know anything about Genshin Impact! 😅 Also, I hope that it's okay that I leave some I'm not comfortable with, and add a few others.
ST Characters with S/O with a ISTP Personality Type MiniHCs
Tumblr media
Summary: This is how your relationship dynamic goes with your favorite character, with a cold, calculated, and passionate personality type!
Warnings: None this time!
You two have very similar personality types, you're both extremely logical, honest, and passionate about doing things the way you feel is right. Your alikeness sometimes causes you to butt heads when you disagree on what the next course of action should be. You both typically result to the silent treatment in these cases, and have a hard time admitting that your feelings are hurt or that you are wrong. However, no matter what the circumstance, if you're angry with one another or not, you both share a deep love for one another that you can always rely on.
Henry Creel, Nancy Wheeler, Max Mayfeild, Lucas Sinclair, Murray Bauman
You often tend to hurt their feelings with your bluntness, and in honesty, they wish you were a little bit nicer when you spoke to them. Sometimes, you dismiss small pleasures or worries that they share with you, because you can't see why they matter to them. Because of this, they can be a little insecure when talking to you about things that they'd like you to react largely to, and this is something you try to work on. In the end, they can always see you trying to make things right that they feel you've done wrong, and love you so much for it! They know you don't mean to hurt their feelings, and that you only intend the best things for them.
Chrissy Cunningham, Robin Buckley, Dr. Alexi, Gareth Emerson, Jonathan Byers, Dustin Henderson, Will Byers, Joyce Byers
You often fight with them over your shared passion to protect one another. You both just want to see the other safe, but this is where your similarities end. They are Very hesitant with heir feelings, and tend to keep very strong ones to themselves to save a good mood, while you leave nothing unsaid. This can sometimes leave them offended by your curt nature, and they'll usually show this through a snarky remark. The bottom line though is, you both love each other very much, but there is definitely room to improve communication on both ends!
Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, Jane 'Eleven' Hopper, Mike Wheeler, Jim Hopper

Review-System
Tumblr media
Selenio
As an avid reader and lover of literature, I have now finally decided to start vocalizing this love by writing reviews (or simply comments, for lack of a better term) about the books I have and will read and thus recommend some of my favorites (or warn from the rather bad ones…). For this reason I have created a sort of template to better visualize my thought process and reduce the danger of misunderstandings. I know it’s customary to rate books by a five or ten star system although this doesn’t always feel as transparent and straightforward as one might wish for… Because of this, I have assigned each star a specific purpose to reach a rating of minimum and maximum 10 stars - or in this case: fleurs-de-lis, because one has to keep one’s individuality in some way or another - by assigning them a score between 0 and 2.
♖ Characters Are the characters true to life or simply character sketche? How well are are their personal struggles and character traits portrayed? Do they fir the style of the story or add to the plot?
♜ Plot Is the overall plot cohesive or are there substantial plot holes which keep one from enjoying the read? Is the story or general tone believable? How well done is the immersion for the reader?
♖ Writing Style How can the style of writing used by the author be described? Is it flowery and descriptive or curt and blunt? Is there a unity of theme?
♜ Aesthetic Is there a singular term or phrase to fit the subject and essence of the text? Is it a beach read? Something a tad more existential, meant to be read by a crackling chimney? Or can it be assigned a famous aesthetic concept like Dark/Light Academia, Classicism, Art Nouveau, Romanticism, Cottagecore, etc.? On the occassion I will also identify certain tropes.
♖ Personal Amusement + Recommendation Would I personally recommend the discussed piece of literature and if yes: to what kind of people?
Of course my reviews will only ever be testament to my own personal opinion and it is more than possible that not every reader will agree with me on certain points. However, all of my texts are written for enjoyment and should be read as such. (And they will probably largely consist of very positive reviews anyways, as I know my taste… and am simply too nice.) If anybody now wants to join me on this magic ride through the joyous world of the arts and literature: be welcomed and look out for future posts!
Every artist was first an amateur.

Speaking of romantic & platonic pairings… Maybe this isn’t in character, I’d like to personally think a bonding point Curt could have with a Gabemancing!New Kid is their shared taste 😌
Oh, Curt's got so many tips to help you get with Gabe.
Don't listen to any of them.
