New character for TBOL Future! She’s now known as the Candle Killer, she is the one who gives the dead souls a peaceful place to rest instead of next to souls that are still alive. She can also decide whether it is someone’s time to live again or to fully perish. Quick deaths cause her so much dread because she can’t give them that sliver of hope to live, but as for slower deaths, they have a chance, and she’s willing to give them that chance if they aren’t too far gone. If they are, she unfortunately has to put them to rest. If they do have a chance, she lifts them up and they appear at the Candle Makers cave (decided to name him Carmelian). She’s only discovered when Manolos and Marias child is 5 years old.

"Wrong," Ikkaku deadpanned, even as she watched Killer saunter away, appreciating the gleam of his golden mane and the shape of his backside in those tight jeans. "Him giving me his number is a precursor to me getting laid. Romance is an unknown variable in this equation."

Still, the Heart Pirate had to grin a bit as she folded up the little scrap of paper the Massacre Soldier had handed her, tucking it into the safety of her left breast pocket, right over her heart. Killer easily could have just invited her to get a few drinks, then grab a room somewhere for some fun. Giving her the number to his personal den den mushi implied he actually wanted to talk to her. Which, as a member of the Kid Pirates, was something of a shock.

Sure, they'd talked and gone out a few times, and she'd helped him upgrade his Punishers, but their captains were still heated rivals. Was he looking to be able to call her if he needed her to talk him through repairs? Was he hoping for phone sex?

Shaking her head, Ikkaku decided it was better to stop overthinking and just see where this whole numbers exchange might take them. Until then, she had a sculptor in her ear trying to tease her.

Elbowing Mr. 3 less gently than he'd nudged her, Ikkaku smirked at him. "But if you're so sure, why don't you go tease Killer about it, hmm? I'm sure he'd love to hear about what a romantic you think he is."

Fell into a movie hole and read a pretty humorous review of 00’s “The Watcher,” a serial killer movie that has Keanu Reeves playing against type. Here’s the ending quote from Roger Ebert’s review that I found hilarious:

“It goes without saying, I guess, that the scene features hundreds of candles.
