Prowlbee where prowl is a cyber wolf originally but it only happens on certain nights and bee is half insecticon and can actually change into a bumblebee but he hides it.
They see each other by chance in their actual alt modes👀.
I see the cyberwolf thing with Prowl a lot, and i get it. You like it. I'm not sure i do but it's a cool concept.
Now two were-bots? That's interesting.
They wouldn't know the other is a were-creature but they would defo feel something is up with the other, different scent n all.
Bee would hide the fact he's half-insecticon and has that additional alt mode, he'll cover up any fluff exposed and his wings under his armor. He can transform anytime he wants, he only hides it because he has been bullied a lot and looked down on for being a techno-organic.
Prowl is a sensitive to sounds, he knows how to walk to not make any and will know if someone's coming. His optics are actually dark with blue pupils, so he hides them under a visor. His changes are not controlled like Bee's, he has a callendar of earth lunar cycles with full moons marked so he knows when it's time. Being a cyberwolf means he is also a techno-organic. Although he doesn't actually have a wolf alt mode, his root mode's parts shift and he becomes more animal-like.
Of course the only one to know would be Ratchet cuz this grandpa is literally the best medic known to cybertron and there is no way the scans wouldn't show anything related to that. He knows Bee and Prowl are different but he never mentioned it to anyone nor the bots themselves.
I imagine the way it happened is that Prowl, while in cyberwolf mode, was strolling thru the woods looking for something to hunt and pounced on something hiding in the bushes(thinking if was a bear or something) but surprise surprise it was big-ass insecticon that is now trying to sting him. They fight for a bit before Prowl bites that bug's leg which forces it to transform into root mode and wouldn't you know- Prowl is now staring at the bug-looking Bumblebee with a bleeding arm.
There is that moment of awkward tension before they Prowl speaks up in a slightly staticy voice and they realize. Bee of course yells at Prowl for biting him and Prowl is trying so hard not to give in because of the smell of energon. He feels so bad for hurting one of his. They talk and before they know it the sun is going up and Bee is witnessing Prowl (painfully)change back and they return to base.
Ratchet is of course annoyed when Prowl takes the damaged armor-covered Bee to him and straight up tell them what happened even tho he has only guessed. Both of them are surprised Ratchet knew about their conditions but still it should have been obvious that a medic would know. And so Bee is put on leave until the wounds on his protoform heal, the cover up being that he has some glitches with the nerve-wiring that cause him pain.
Now i know you said ProwlBee, so i think they were in that awkward "i care about you a lot but i don't know if i should tell you" stage of (pre)relationship when they found out about their conditions. They grow closer and eventually romance starts.
Prowl likes to be pet a lot. Bee is happy to provide the scritches for the metal doggo. Bee likes to cuddle when it gets cold/rains and Prowl is happy to have him snuggle on his lap while he meditates. Bee's wings flutter when he's happy but since they're covered all is heard is this quiet buzz sound, It's like purring but bug.
That's all i got for it.

i just finished reading infinity alchemist by kacen callendar and boy oh boy, i loved this book, i think it has high potential to become a new big popular series, it just came out in february but i saw a lot of two star reviews on goodreads, mostly from people who flat out state that they didnt finish the book (which, for me, means you dont get an opinion on it) and as someone who actually did read the whole thing, i very much recommend it,
basically everyone is capable of alchemy on some level but some are better then others and in order to do the cool stuff, you need a license, but its a rigged system, so ash learns in secret instead, he meets ramsey, a deal is struck, hijinks ensue, theres trouble and danger, some people die, some people are saved, callum is a steady hand, and the book ends leaving you wondering
its what i feel to be a true young adult book, touching on adult themes without being explict, ie fade to black moments, or dancing around it, ie velvet wrapped steel,
theres a lot of good representation in the book between race, sexuality, and gender and none of it felt forced or shoved in my face, i did know it was likely polyam going in and i fear that mightve been a sort of turn off for some people
a lot of complaints i saw were about pacing issues and how it wrapped up too easily and i think thats quickly dissolved when you know theres a second book in the works because yes the big bad was dealt with, crisis averted, etc. but you get that bigger, badder vibe at the end, hinting at the next book i assume, so, not everything Did wrap up easily,
the magic system was fairly easy to follow but i do wish we had spent more time with ash learning because i thought it was interesting but i also think it would help readers understand some things more
there was a map and a list of the houses and what they do, ie guards vs merchants, but, like above, i wish there was also a list of the alchemy tiers because all i mainly caught about the tier system was the higher the level, the harder the magic and the more regulated it gets and then that ash can do tier four no problem, i want to know how many tiers there are and what exactly is in each one
all in all, this was not a perfect book but it was still a very good one, and, from my understanding, the authors introduction to ya fantasy, id give it a strong 9.8/10 because there are definitely things missing that i feel wouldnt strengthened the story but as far as a first book goes, regardless of genre introduction, i think it did very well, and ive read far worse books with far higher goodreads scores
mildly unimportant but i did see similarities between ash woods and simon snow which i thought were cool, kacen mightve taken inspiration (i truly have no idea) and that might bother some people but it was still fun for me to see

On 22nd July 1298 William Wallace and the Scottish army lost a major battle at Falkirk.
After the defeat of the English the previous September, Longshanks decided to lead his army to Scotland himself this time, the force that he took with him was significant, perhaps 2000 knights and men–at-arms and almost 15,000 footmen. Wallace had at first not intended to meet the English in battle, and indeed it would appear he outmanoeuvred Edward. Instead of fighting him he sent most of his men to attack Carlisle.
However, by 22nd July Edward had succeeded in confronting Wallace on the field of battle. It is possible that Wallace was persuaded to attack the English because they were exhausted from the marching and were short of food. Equally it is possible he had been goaded into attacking by the nobles of Scotland, who felt it was unchivalrous not to fight the English.
At first glance the battlefield looked like a positive position for Wallace. He placed his men in three circular schiltrons facing the enemy. His archers were positioned in between the schiltrons to protect them from English archers, and his cavalry were on each flank, to protect his archers from being swept away by an English charge. If all went badly, the Scots could melt back into the woods behind and disappear.
There was a lot of confidence in the Scots army. They had been training throughout the winter months; they knew their positions and what to do in the attack. The Scots bowmen, despite suggestions to the contrary, were every bit as good as their English counterparts, many of them armed with longbows. They were just outnumbered.
Similarly, the Scots knights and men-at-arms were considerably outnumbered by their opponents, but they were well positioned. Wallace’s men, although outnumbered, held the defensive position: they were dug in and protected by stakes driven into the ground, and a boggy morass in front of them. So what went wrong?
The English cavalry attacked from both flanks at the same time. The Scots cavalry were unable to stand against the superior numbers, and they were defeated so quickly it gave rise to stories that they simply fled the battlefield. However, Fiona Watson suggests that the nobles fled so quickly in order to be able to fight at a later date. The English knights then attacked the schiltrons but were unable to penetrate the thick wall of Scots spears. However, the Scots archers didn’t have any protection and were quickly killed or scattered.
Unable to actually break the Scots formations, the English knights withdrew a little, waiting for their foot soldiers to catch up. With no archers of their own to counter the English longbowmen, the schiltrons were forced to weather a barrage of missile fire. The stakes they had dug into the ground made manoeuvring impossible.
As the numbers of dead and dying Scots increased, the survivors couldn’t maintain their schiltron formation. Finally the English knights charged again. This time there were too many gaps in the spear wall and the Scots were crushed. Thousands of Scots died, including Sir John de Graham, William Wallace’s good friend and Sir John Stewart of Bonkyll, who was in command of men from Argyll and Bute, including the Scottish archers, the “Men of Bute” held him in sich high regard, that when he fell and lay dying on the battlefield they died, to a man protecting him.
Wallace meanwhile had to be dragged from the battlefield, returning afterwards to personally carry de Graham to his burial place.
In his own mind his reputation was in ruins, Wallace resigned as Guardian of Scotland shortly after.
If you are in Scotland why not come along to the Battle of Falkirk commemoration tomorrow.
The following is on the memorial cairn at  Callendar Park
Falkirk Remembers
Only Fakirk’s lonely Battlefield
Scots patriots did stand
One thought alone was in their minds
To defend their precious land
Their cause was just and noble
Liberty for allTo beat the proud usurper
Or together they would fall“
I’ve brought you to the ring” he cried Now dance the best you can
And dance they did all those brave men
Heroes to a man Their bravery was not enough
Their lives outnumbered so
But those whom some relied upon
From the  battlefield did go
Each man died a hero
Though this fight they never won
For all who died that bloody day
We thank you Scotland’s sons

Die Geschichte der CO2-Klimakampagne

It was a day for walking. The clocks, at least the one previously set back, said 7:30 am but it certainly felt like 8:30. An early morning walk provides real advantages. The park was empty for one. Two, we got spy a tardy barn owl, late returning home, being mobbed by a raucous group of feisty crows. This was just within minutes of leaving the car. Walking with teenage children is always interesting. Sometimes they're quiet, mulling over lifes complexities. But on days like today, the forward projection of their feet seems to release a door and all the items contained within spill forth. I love walking with and listening to my kids. Few, very few, things could be more special. And as beautiful as this tree is, I will gladly avert my gaze and turn my eyes toward muddy shoes and continuing uphill whilst my sweet girl shares her tales. 💜🍁🐞
Motherhood. Autumn. Blessed.

11 Anticipated Young Adult Books By Trans/Nonbinary Authors
Tumblr media
Teen Vogue has done it again: It has given us a new informative article of relevance to trans and nonbinary people. This time Charlie Jane Anders is looking at young adult books by, for and/or about queer people.
Anders writes:
Trans and/or non-binary authors like Akwaeke Emezi, Cory McCarthy, and Kacen Callendar have been taking young-adult fiction by storm.
Just five years ago, there were only a handful of YA novels by self-identified trans/nb authors, but since then the floodgates have opened.
There are at least two dozen YA books by trans/nb authors coming in 2021, and many of these books also represent other identities that have been sorely lacking in teen reads, including BIPOC authors.
"The breadth and depth of genres, narratives, and representation in these books are even more important than the mere presence of gender-nonconforming authors," says author Ray Stoeve, who maintains a list of books for young readers by trans/non-binary authors.
Here are some of the most exciting young adult books coming in 2021:
Can't Take That Away by Steven Salvatore (March 9)
Lost in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas (March 23)
Between Perfect and Real by Ray Stoeve (April 13)
Tumblr media
Meet Cute Diary by Emery Lee (May 4)
May the Best Man Win by Z.R. Ellor (May 18)
The Witch King by H.E. Edgmon (June 1)
The Passing Playbook by Isaac Fitzsimons (June 1)
The [Un]Popular Vote by Jasper Sanchez (June 1)
The Sisters of Reckoning by Charlotte Nicole Davis (Aug 10)
Tumblr media
The Scratch Daughters by Hannah Clarke (Sept. 14)
Obie is Man Enough by Schuyler Bailar (Fall 2021)
The original article has short presentations of each book.

Books of 2018
And here is my my annual book round up! This year I bumped my Goodreads challenge up from 70 to 80, and wound up reading 113 (which is a little less than last year, but some of these books were very long). But I once again benefited from my friend group being so dedicated to harassing each other with more books to read (and also the Silent Book Club that meets in Boston which has given me some time to focus on reading).
But as usual, I’ve bolded my top 18 books, and italicized my next 10 honorable mentions. And I’ve put a strike through my bottom 5 books that I managed to finish. This was a little difficult to do because I reread a few books this year (like Harry Potter, and The Princess Diaries) and I’m not including those. That said, the rereads affected my ratings, and I really didn’t find myself blown away by as many books. This is also possibly because a lot of these books were part of series, but ultimately I felt I had a significant majority of books that were either pretty good or meh.
(I would also link to all my monthly posts for these, but I’d read that links will interfere with searching tags on Tumblr (because this website is working overtime to dig its own grave), so you can just search Books of 2018 on my page for yourself.)

CMC former students consisted of Robert Lamm of the rock group "Chicago" and Jazz Saxophonist Steve Coleman of the Thad Jones Mel Lewis Orchestra. Through the advice and recommendation of the late Chicago Symphony Bassist Warren Benfield, Smith traveled to Madison Wisconsin to study with Jazz Bassist Richard Davis at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, then on to Milwaukee with Laura Synder currently with the Milwaukee Symphony. Smith received a scholarship to study in the Jazz Program at Livingston College of Rutgers University in Livingston, New Jersey under the direction of Bassist Larry Ridley.
As a young bassist in his 20's, Smith became the founder of the Los Angeles Bass Violin Choir, a group of prominent Los Angeles area bassists performing special arrangements by Smith and New York bassist Bill Lee. Bill Lee, father of director Spike Lee, and founder of the New York Bass Violin Choir, premiered many unique compositions and arrangements in his son's earlier films. Regular players consisted of Frederick Tinsley, the late Andy Simpkins, Herbie Lewis and George "Red" Callendar, John Heard, and classical double bass extraordinaire Bertram Turetsky. Additional players to perform with the bass choir were bassists Roberto Miranda, James Leary and Alan Jackson. Drummers Sherman Ferguson and Bill Douglass, and Pianist Cecil Lytle also performed with the choir.

peppermint matcha and darjeeling<3
Thank u sm for ur ask Ellian 💖🥺 I’m going on a tangent/into detail haha so, hopefully it’s not too personal/long or smth sjakKsxkxjxj
peppermint:favourite holiday and why?
•I celebrate ‘culturally Christian’ holidays with my family
•they don’t feel aligned w my values tho tbh;
•As a kid Christmas was my favorite bc it’s always been fun in my family, having a special meal & gifts,
•& now it’s better bc I give my sister & my parents gifts, & it’s less abt money, more surprises & quality time
•Halloween!!🎃🦇 i don’t do much for it tho. I like the concept that the veil between mortal and spirit realms is thinner that night & people put magic in the air & it feels like a creative time 🦇🎃
matcha: favourite book?
Oooooo. I have multiple so this will be more like a recs list lmaoooo
•A few recent books I really like are “We Do This Til We Free Us” by Marianne Kaba (Prison Abolition); “Felix Ever After” by Kacen Callendar (mostly fun/lighthearted-ish, YA abt trans characters & friendship & love, it’s so good), &
•“On Sunday’s, She Picked Flowers” by Yah Yah Scholfield (Indie published, abt a woman who moves to the woods & falls in love with a woman/shapeshifter, major TW for abuse!! But the characters experience healing/some revenge & it’s horror genre)
•“An Unkindness of Ghosts” by Rivers Solomon, a spaceship, scientific/medical, main character uncovering messages/mystery of her mother’s death/unfinished goal of her work/research on the spaceship (like in charge of running the spaceship/repair)
•There’s some parts where the main characters are figuring out/expressing that they’re trans & some romance but it’s brief/to the point.
(Research/feel free to ask me for TWs regarding the serious topics—ex racism (the author is Black, not the writing being racist)—& some violence, in it if u want to read it tho]
•& I’m currently reading a book on history of witchcraft 🔮 🌙 Book of Shadows/Grimoires 🔮 🌙 , by an author called Jason Mankey; it shouldn’t be relied on as a main source on the subject tho
•but it gives a lot of insight & ways ancient art/symbols/rituals evolved into being written/passed on from personal books, but it’s def a white-centered perspective
darjeeling: a hobby?
I like researching info lately if that counts? Like I want to have my own plants except I also want to know abt them for writing purposes & witchcraft/what they can be used for, so I look up certain types & keep notes. & I like to find youtube vids/online courses (site rec: Udemy.), like one YouTube Rec I have is Mintfaery, who makes vids on witchcraft & her experiences with faery spirits, & one online course I took was on the Akashic Records.

Carron House Doocot, Carronshore.
There's no definite date for this, but the house was built in 1779, it's only natural that the doocot would have been around the same time, the Buildings at Risk web site says 18th century but I question that as there are a lot of bricks lying around each bearing the name Callendar, further investigation online tells me that the Callendar Brick And Fireclay Works did not exist until after 1820.
The Docoot sits near the River Carron, very close to the new footbridge, in Abbotshaugh Community Woodlands, Falkirk which I will cover in another post.
Carronshore was once a bustling port, importing and exporting goods to and from the Carron ironworks. In the mid to late 18th century, Carronshore boasted a dry dock and cranes at its harbour.
The river itself is a lot quieter nowadays, I've walked about it a wee bit further east a few times and have not seen any traffic at all, there is a lock connecting it to the Forth & Clyde Canal at The Kelpies but having visited it countless times I have never seen a boat use the lock there. The Carron is a tidal river and I am not keen on them, they look great when in full flow at high tide, but when the tide is oot rivers like this look a muddy mess, and The Carron is no different. I did take a few pics of it, I will get round to posting them in the next few days. It empties into the Forth near Grangemouth.
Right, the doocot, or as the English would say, The Dovecot.  Basically it is a structure intended to house pigeons or doves, they were common for large houses and castles at the time,  and were if possible, built by the river to supply the house with pigeon meat and indeed Dove meat!. This one has been termed a pavilion type octagonal brick dovecot is fairly unusual. It's in a bit of a state now, roofless and damaged by vandals but it's category B listed building by Historic Scotland. B listed means it is of regional or local importance, a major example of a particular style or period, the thing is if it is in private hands and of no use to the property owners B listed buildings are often left to rot, the doocot here is a prime example.
The are around this wee building was once a park called Dovecot Park and was used by among others by Carronshore Sunday School for their sports days.
I particularly like the wee windows, described as oeil-de-boef, it seems a previous visitor also likes them and decided to show his appreciation by adorning it with his name- well done Roy!
It's not just Roy though, there is a lot of graffiti and the structure is in a dilapidated stated, years of neglect taking it's toll. Inside many of the pigeonholes where the birds once enjoyed nesting have disappeared.  There is a pile of wood in the middle, some charred, and the usual debris of empty cider cans and one of "Dragon Soup"

11 Anticipated Books By Trans/Non-Binary Authors

11 Anticipated Books By Trans/Non-Binary Authors
Tumblr media
Young-adult hype is all about fighting for your own identification, chasing the dream of the individual you want to be — and no one needs those stories over trans and non-binary teenagers. Especially right now, with so many claims rushing to pass laws towards providing healthcare to trans youth, and so many parents aiming to “protect” their kids from reading through about transness .
The good news? Trans and non-binary authors like Akwaeke Emezi, Cory McCarthy, plus Kacen Callendar have been using young-adult fiction by surprise.
Just 5 years ago, there were only a number of YA novels by self-identified trans/nb authors, but since then your floodgates have opened. You can find at least two dozen EN ESTE MOMENTO books by trans/nb writers coming in 2021, and many of those books also represent various other identities that have been sorely with a lack of teen reads, including BIPOC authors. “The breadth plus depth of genres, narratives, and representation in these textbooks are even more important compared to mere presence of gender-nonconforming authors, ” says writer Ray Stoeve, who keeps a list of books for younger readers by trans/non-binary writers.
Here are some of the very most exciting young adult textbooks coming in 2021:
Can’t Take That will Away by Steven Salvatore (March 9)
Carey is a genderqueer student who gets ensemble in the lead female part in their high school’s creation of Evil — yet after they face discrimination from the bigoted teacher and the school’s clueless administration, they must fight. Each chapter heading is certainly intentional by letting visitors know which pronouns Carey is using throughout the book.
Dropped in the Never Woods by Aiden Thomas (March 23)
Thomas made a huge dash with their debut, Cemetery Boys , and today they’re back with this Philip Pan retelling. It’s been 5 years since Wendy plus her brothers went lacking, and Wendy turned up by itself with no memory of so what happened — now kids are usually disappearing again, and a mystical boy named Peter might hold the key to conserving them.
Between Perfect plus Real by Beam Stoeve (April 13)
Dean sees that he’s a trans man — but he’s just out as a lesbian, for the time being. He’s not ready to changeover until he gets solid as an “unconventional” Romeo within the school’s production of Romeo and Juliet . This one is for all of the theater kids who discovered their true selves simply by playing a role on stage.
Satisfy Cute Diary simply by Emery Lee (May 4)
The trans boy named Noah Ramirez creates a blog the Meet Cute Diary, filled with perfect love stories to give lonesome trans folk hope for their very own romances. After an online kobold exposes the fact that all the tales in the Meet Cute Journal are fake, Noah attempts to save the day by making his own picture-perfect romance having a boy named Drew.
Might the Best Man Win by Z. R. Ellor (May 18)
Jeremy has been coping with bigots and a clueless college administration since he was released as trans—but he is just not let them ruin his mature year. He decides to operate for Homecoming King, yet there’s just one problem: their opponent is his ex-boyfriend, Lukas. And as the competition becomes vicious when they realize they might still have feelings for each some other.
The Witch King by H. E. Edgmon (June 1)
Wyatt is a trans witch, who fled the particular fae realm after a marvelous disaster, in this dark fable debut. Now Wyatt is certainly living among humans till he’s pursued by a fae prince named Emyr, who he was engaged in order to marry. Emyr insists which he and Wyatt must get married, for the good of the fairy realm, but Wyatt desires to fight for his freedom. Earlier readers have praised this particular book’s queer found as well as sensitive handling of misuse.
