WIP GAME!
Thank you @howdyrat for the tag! You’re amazing and I can’t wait to see the results of your poll!
Soooo technically I have quite a few works in progress but maybe this will spur me on to finish some stuff!
I’m trying to be more positive about my writing. I’m going to try my best and not get down on myself! Goals for the Fall!
I think @hangmanbradshaw (side note- everyone should check out HER AMAZING STORIES) had the amazing idea of writing a sentence for each vote, winner or not, so that’s my dream. Let’s try it guys!
All of you guys are so amazing and I can never thank you enough (or apologize enough) for the long waits and basically story teasing I do to you all. Writing will always be such a passion to me but my limit definitely falls in the talent department. Trying to be better for you all and give you stories you deserve 💗💗

5 RPG maker recommendations for people that like Omori.
I like to think of Omori as a gateway for people to enter this weird genre of games. I'm trying to pass on the most popular ones so it's not that "cliche" and you can find something of value even if you're already a bit into this genre... (Also every single game listed is free, you have no excuse)
.flow:
We all know that Yume Nikki was a big inspiration for black space, and .flow is one of its most famous fangames. Everything is what you'll expect of a YN fangame, but there is a little twist...This game is a lot scarier, centered on nightmares. Be aware that even if pixelated this game has plenty of body horror, that's exactly its hook.
(Also if you're a theory enthusiast you're going to love this. There is clearly a story being told through metaphors and oniric worlds, and it's very VERY hidden...)
Fleshchild:
Another YN fangame, this time on a sad, never-ending hiatus. in this game you're the body horror personified, as you control an alien meat blob trying to become human. As soon as you collect a brain you'll start to experience a key component of the human species: dreams. That's when the YN part of this game kicks in. Very beautiful pixel art and soundtrack, I'm just sad it'll never be finished.
The huntress of the hollow:
If you're starved after Fleshchild you still have this game, a very short turn-based RPG by the same creator. There isn't much here to compare it to Omori other than game genre... It's only 1 hour long...

Re: Kinder:
Kids dying the RPG maker game. As with Omori, this game touches on heavy subjects like depression and other mental illnesses, but unlike it, Re:Kinder is very heavy-handed with it, there is plenty of dark humor to complement...
This is not the prettiest of games, it uses a lot of RPG Maker premade assets, but what it lacks in visuals it has in charisma, that charisma being its main antagonist Yuichi. Not much more to say other than this game is very weird, it also has turn-based battles for the comparison checklist...
(I was reminded of this game thanks to a Hazel video, go check it out, it gives a lot more info along with the how/why this game can be considered a cult classic)

End roll:
"Exploring the protagonist's guilt through dreams" this is a synopsis that can be applied to both, End roll and Omori. Other than that the story is very different, Russell is a criminal sentenced to death in a rehab program called "happy dream". I like to say he is the extra bastard edition of Sunny, if that attracts you go for it, it's a great game...
(Be aware that it treats the same heavy subjects as Omori, be careful. I could even draw more comparisons, but I prefer you to find them out :) )

im sorry but the trend of all the hashira with tanjiro snapping to side which spoils whether they live or die in the op is a goofy visual to me, are they gonna cram all of them in the final op and have no tension whatsoever?

I've visited my first art gallery (at least first since I've grown enough to appreciate art properly) and uh. Oh uh. Digital photos of the paintings really don't do them justice, huh.
The transparency, the texture!!!! The layers upon layers of paint!!! The extremely smooth oils delicately layered in dozens and dozens until the portrait pops out of the picture and basically takes up a 3d space!!!
The sheer mastery and patience present in those giant canvases that take up a whole wall!!! The size of them!!!
The way abstract art mesmerizes you! How it, with a few knots in string and lights shining upon it, conjures the shape of a soul leaving a body if you look at it at just the right angle? The shape and flow of color, the missing paint on a dark canvas that shows the hints of underlying tones?
How sculptures capture the softness and warmth of flesh in its contours. The figurines with harsh, blocky shapes that conjure joy of dance better than refined lines would.
What I'm trying to say is. Maybe I should get a bit more wild with my art, try other things.
