As much as I love bsd wan I am afraid I can never forgive the grave offense of portraying Akutagawa as a Dazai fanboy which subsequently lead a lot of bsd fanmade content to add that in as a genuine character trait of his and not just his admiration for and emotional attachment to Dazai being played up for comedic value.

i'm still recovering from the podcast but what hits hard for me is daniel saying people in his life telling him he's glowing again, he looks lighter again and it makes me just sooo mad because he is someone who's given me so much joy from simply being who he is and to think he was at such a low point that people around him have to tell him he looks good again, like normal daniel again and its just soo

And personally I like the idea that the people of Rydell, that weren't close to the zdunowskis, didn't really know for sure about the situation, they just noticed she wasn't there anymore and rumors spread around it, Cynthias dad pretended she never existed outside of the house and Cynthia tried to do the same

But since Cynthia was close with the t-birds (tho they weren't called that yet) they knew the truth, and through that olivia.

The other (not yet) pink ladies did not, but both had obviously heard the rumors, therefore there came a point were Nancy and Jane had to ask........

aggretsuko is quickly turning into one of those "had a lot of early potential" type shows. Like, the setup is neat, i would like more shows about characters hating their shitty jobs and being loud about it, but it just also gets bogged down with shitty het romance and never capitalizes on its actual appeal to me. Particularly season 2 felt just so, so conservative to me, it's the most romance-heavy season by far and god these animals just do not stop talking about monogamous breeder relationships

Yall ever think about how actually fully horrific Richies death was? Like I think about it a lot, and I don’t mean because he thought he was finally safe from Max or cause he was starting to love his life or cause what happened to max wasn’t even his fault. I mean because he got his nipples ripped off his body and then drowned in toilet water. What the fuck. Like I get the joke of it but also if I had to pick the most painful way to die that would be up there. Like ik these are horror stories but sometimes they catch me off guard for how abruptly brutal they can be. I would call it about on-par with Hey Melissa! for how much the violence disturbed me. This is probably just due to my vivid imagination combined with the way I empathize, but uh yeah. What the fuck

I still hate that the mystery around Cassian’s mom was crushed so easily just by saying she was dead 😭. Like bro. I get it. But come on. I really wanted Cassian to be tracking down his heritage, up against the other Illyrians who won’t tell him anything and actively despise him so they actively try to thwart him at every turn. I wanted Cassian to talk about his mom to Nesta and them bonding over absent/lost parents and the dream of having people that care about them.

And I eventually wanted him to find his mom but… maybe when Nesta and Cassian’s romance was still new and budding or just barely solidified. So the person whom his mom attaches to is maybe more Nesta. Just out of culture and a woman’s role. I want Cassian’s mom thinking that she’s both the perfect person for her son as in she checks off all the boxes of what’s expected and phenomenally. Her son is truly blessed in that sense. But also I wanted her to think that she’s also maybe not anything that she’s expecting because Nesta’s a rule breaker. She doesn’t fit any mold. If anything she is dangerous to their world that doesn’t like change. That doesn’t like non compliant women. She’s loud and chaotic and angry and emotional and most of all she’s not silent. She screams. Even when she’s quiet, she roars.

And I wanted Cassian and mom bonding, but also mom and Nesta bonding because Nesta realizes that moms are suppose to be loving and her mom’s attention made her bitter. But Cassian’s mom is like you’re my daughter now so I’m your mom too. And Damn it!!!! I wanted family vibes.

Scholarly Acquaintances

“What do you want, Lupin.” Regulus sings monotonously, his gaze never once deviating from the pages of the astronomy book in his hands.

Remus doesn’t waste energy wondering how Regulus knew it was him, that’s Blacks for you, as he draws out a chair across from Regulus and sits himself down. “What?” Remus questions casually, throwing his school books onto the table. “Can’t a man simply sit and read with his friend?”

“I am not your friend, Lupin.” Regulus retorts, tightening his grip on the cover. “And you’re certainly not a man.”

Remus snickers at his response, not expecting anything less. “Alright, then. How about a scholarly acquaintance?” Regulus starts drumming his fingers against the book. “A study buddy?” His lips curl in annoyance. “A fellow literature enthusiast?”

Regulus huffs in annoyance. He slowly tears his gaze off the page, as if the act itself is a laborious chore, before meeting Remus’ eyes with his own silvery blue. He looks Remus up and down. “I find it hard to believe we have similar taste.”

“I think you’d be surprised.” Remus smiles, pulling up his book bag from the floor and sliding it against the polished desk. Regulus peaks down at the worn leather, raising an eyebrow at Remus before tentatively peeling the bag open and examining its contents.

Remus waits for a flicker of emotion, a change of demeanor, the smallest slip of a mask, or really anything at all. But as Regulus’ eyes scan the pile of Remus’ collection of muggle classics, books he has accidentally caught the Slytherin reading, he finds nothing. Regulus simply purses his lips, drops the bag as if it was filled with multiple contagions, and wipes his hand on his robes for good measure.

Regulus looks at the bag for a few moments more, before his gaze catches Remus’ once again. Regulus lifts his hand from the table and for a brief moment, Remus thinks Regulus might actually slap him, before he recognizes the gesture for what it truly is.

A handshake. A truce.

“Scholarly acquaintances it is, then.” Regulus concedes.

Remus’ smile could rival the devil’s in that moment, as he reaches to shake Regulus’ hand. He thinks he can see a faint glint of amusement flickering in Regulus’ eyes, but he’s gone before Remus can check, standing up from his seat and taking his books with him in one swift motion.

Remus stays still for a moment, allowing the reality of the situation to catch up to him. He chuckles to himself at the absurdity of it all as he lets his hand fall to the table from where it was still suspended in air. He wipes a hand down his face tiredly, and laughs. “Scholarly acquaintances it is.”
