summary A few weeks after first meeting Eddie and Christopher things with you and Eddie start getting serious. However when Christopher realizes, he doesn't react the way you'd expected.

a/n yall know how in episode 8 season 4 Eddie tells Chris he's seeing someone and Chris gets rlly mad and runs away to Buck (adorable btw)? When he explained that he's scared that people he cares about leave I realized this could be a good continuation to this! It's gonna have a happy ending and fluff don't worry 🫶🏻

Christopher is preparing salad with Eddie at his side while you supervise Liam as he slowly chops a cucumber. His tongue is peeking out in concentration as he holds the knife the way you'd shown him and slowly slices the cucumber.

When he's done you ruffle his hair and hold your hand up for a high-five which he eagerly gives. “You did great! When dinner is done well call you - go and play a little more with Chris?” He nods and hops off the chair (his feet couldn't reach the floor when he sat so he had to hop down a little- it makes you coo every time he does) before grabbing Chris by his arm and dragging him to the living room.

Eddie and you watch as they settle on the couch and pick their game of uno back up.

“They're adorable,” you smile and lean back against the counter, your arms crossed over your chest. Eddie hums and sneaks his right arm around your waist, looking down at you with a content grin.

You tilt your head at his look and turn around to finish up the salad, “What are you looking at, señor?”

In your peripheral you see both his eyebrows raise as he makes a ‘huh’ sound and shifts to lean against the counter with his hip. “You speaking Spanish now?”

That makes you laugh and you shake your head, “You'd like that, wouldn't you?” He raises his shoulders as if he didn't know but the smirk on his face tells you what you need to know.

You lean in as if you'd tell him a secret and rest your hand on his waist before basically whispering, “Go and set the table.”

He groans and gently pushes you away as if he was mad, “Yes, ma'am.” He bows exaggeratedly and you watch him with a deadpan look. He looks around the corner into the living room before quickly kissing your cheek and then your lips, squeezing your hip before letting go.

You grin and bite your lip as you watch him go to set the table, distantly hearing him ask the boys who's winning the game and starting a discussion about uno rules.

Later when dinner is ready and served Liam is telling Eddie about his day while Christopher sits next to you. He's pushing the food around on his plate with his fork and you discreetly nudge his elbow with a questioning look.

He doesn't just look up but full on glares at you, dropping his fork noisily. “I don't need your help.”

You flinch back in surprise and furrow your brows. Eddie is looking up now too, making you shrug in confusion.

“Christopher, talk nicely.” He says in his warning dad tone and you watch a little uncomfortably - did you cause this? What did you even do? “No!” Chris bangs his fist on the table and pushes the plate off the table and onto the floor, the loud noise making Liam shriek and look around with wide, scared eyes.

Before you can reach out Eddie shushes him and puts a hand on his back, allowing the eight year old to calm down a bit. Chris however is the opposite. This time he directs his words at you, “We don't need you! You will leave!”

Your eyes go wide and you send a panicked look to Eddie, who looks just as confused. “Chris, what's going on? You like her.” Instead of an explanation he slides off his chair and glares at you again, “You will leave.”

He then hurries to his room and slams the door behind him, causing the dam to break and Liam to star bawling in confusion at the confrontation.

There's an unspoken agreement between you and Eddie as you stand and pick Liam up, letting him cry into your shoulder as you stroke your palm over his back. “I'll see what's up with Christopher. I'm really sorry about what he said,” Eddie mumbles and kisses your temple, at the same time he brushes his hand through Liams hair once.

“I think you need to talk to him,” Eddie comes around the corner and looks at you and Liam settled on the couch with the latter fast asleep in your arms. “I don't really think he wants to see me, maybe we should just go home…” you sigh.

“That's exactly what he doesn't want.” Eddie starts and sits next to you, reaching out and taking your hand in his. “I've told you about Shannon... He's scared you'll leave too. He doesn't want to miss you and Liam.”

You frown, “Oh, no. I'll go and try to make him understand we're here to stay.” He nods gladly and kisses the back of your hand and letting you carefully place your son in his arms. Liam wakes up momentarily and when he recognizes Eddie he cuddles up into him and goes back to sleep.

You watch the two with a fond expression and inhale deeply before going to Christophers room and knocking twice.

There's no response so you slowly open the door. He's laying in his bed and when he sees you he frowns again, turning around too slow to hide the tear tracks and red eyes.

You sigh sadly, “May I sit here?” You pat the space on the bed next to his legs and see him shrug under the blankets.

“Listen, I understand you're scared of Liam and me leaving. A lot of people have left you. But, Chris, we're here to stay. I really, really like your dad and I really like you, too. Liam does too.”

It's visible that you're getting through to him when he slowly shifts onto his back and looks at you with a pout and a frown. “Promise?” You smile and nod.

“Pinky promise, even.” You take his hand and wrap your pinky around his.

He smile too now and yawns but surprises you once again tonight as he moves around until his head is laying on your thighs. “You want to go to sleep?” He nods and you pull the blanket up to his shoulders to wrap him in them entirely, carding your hand through his hair to calm him.

Ten minutes later and he's fast asleep, softly snoring as you look down at him. You hear the door creak and see Eddie come in, a relieved and fond expression on his face as he sees you two.

“I see you saved the day?” Rolling your eyes you flip him off and he laughs behind his hand. “Liam is asleep too. I pulled out the couch so he can sleep there without a problem.” he whispers.

“Thank you.” He waves it off and comes close enough to soothe his hands over your shoulders and kiss your head.

Happiness and love is the only thing you feel as you think about those three boys that posed utter chaos together but you loved nevertheless. It's a surprise to no one when you wake up to find Liam and Christopher snuggled in the latter's bed the next morning.

The three weeks that passed after Wooyoung's incident was rather hard on you but it was severely... bland.

Mind you, there was nothing in particular that happened but between finding out you were pregnant with a child you didn't even know how your cheating husband would feel about and finding out the person your husband cheated with was his staff member, you couldn't tell if your morning sickness was mostly caused by your pregnancy or as a physical reaction to your current marital situation. Not to mention your daughter had been severely opinionated regarding your care of her father.

Despite everything, you still took care of Wooyoung well. That day you left after finding out that Wooyoung was with a bitch who had some audacity to make big claims about her status, and you came back not two hours later with Wooyoung's things. Upon your arrival, Wooyoung was visibly tense, as if he was being wary and you assumed that the nurse said something about the whore he was with not being his wife and he panicked because how was she supposed to know that? You didn't make things easier for him either when you showed up all calm and collected unlike how a wife usually would react upon finding out that her husband had been hospitalized. He knew how you would usually fuss over him when he was ill so your behaviour struck to him as abnormal and concerning. Or well, something to be concerned about, it's not like he would be concerned over you at this point, right? Though, you excused yourself as being out of it and he just bought the lame excuse. Luckily, his mom soon came and later when you brought your children to visit him, your behaviour became less of a concern and the next two days he was under observation went by smoothly.

But still, the turmoil you felt didn't die down, it stayed stagnant within you and you were at a point where you were feeling too much but couldn't exactly let anything out. Except for puking, that's non-negotiable.

"You need to check that stomach bug out," Wooyoung said as he poured himself a glass of coffee upon hearing your footsteps nearing the kitchen. You had gotten into the habit of ignoring him because you didn't know what you would do or say to him if you opened your mouth. So you simply let out a hum of acknowledgement, not even bothering to answer him completely, not after you just emptied your stomach. "Did you drink any wine last night?" Wooyoung asked, now leaning on the counter to look at you who had situated yourself on the stove to prepare your children some breakfast before they had to go to school. But of course, you simply shook your head whilst turning the electronic inductor on and placing a pan over the surface.

It seemed like Wooyoung had taken note of your odd behaviour and while normally you would be glad that your husband had taken interest in you, all you felt was just sick to the pit of your stomach. It was as if his attention no longer mattered knowing that he shared that with someone else. Someone who hadn't done anything for him for years only to be betrayed yet someone worth risking his marriage and vows to you for.

Wooyoung huffed and pushed himself off the counter to go over to you, leaning on the countertop close to you to take a good look at your face. "I'm worried. You seem like you haven't been yourself for quite a while now," boy did you want to whack him and claw his eyes out for saying that because how dare he act like he cared when you knew he had something going on with a cheap side piece. But you held it in as best as you could, balling your hands tight that the spatula in your hand almost snapped and just shrugged, "d'know what you're talking about," you muttered lowly, trying to avoid as much interaction with him as you could. With a sigh, Wooyoung tried to push some hair out of your face but for some reason your body moved involuntarily out of the way as if revolted by his touch which surprised Wooyoung who stood aghast, staring at you with wide eyes as you stared him back with nose twitching. Knowing you (ironically), you would not avoid his touch or act as if he was going to hurt you because (to his knowledge) he had never hurt you nor does he have shown any inclination that you should be afraid of him. Both of you just stood there in the kitchen, Wooyoung in surprise at your reaction and you in annoyance and once you finally took a good look at him, you glared at him in anger and boy did Wooyoung took notice of that.

"What?" He asked, stupidly, you might add. "What?" You answered back, returning to scooping breakfast to your children's plates. "Okay, sure, act like you haven't been avoiding me these past three weeks, (y/n). Did something happen when I was in the hospital?" yes, you got hurt but you were as fine as a peach because your mistress was there, "Are you mad that you had to take care of me these past three weeks?" no, but I am mad that your whore claimed to be your wife to the nurses and even had the gall to visit you while I was right there against my will, pregnant and all, "Did I do something wrong?" and that was when you snapped your head and crossed your arms at Wooyoung, "I don't know, Wooyoung, you tell me. Did you do something wrong?" though he wanted you to answer him, the tone of your voice surprised him greatly to the point that he straightened up. "Hm? Tell me Wooyoung, is there something you think that you know is VERY wrong that you wish to tell me right here right now?"

How you wished you had a camera to capture just how stupid Wooyoung looked. It was obvious to him, or made obvious to him, that you knew that something was up but there was no way Wooyoung could confirm that you knew that he had been cheating on you with his subordinate out of all people. As much as it was the most logical answer to your sudden hostility, Wooyoung didn't want to accidentally confirm his suspicion much to your dismay.

The moment he heard footsteps rushing to the kitchen was the moment Wooyoung believed that God existed because he knew the conversation was coming to an end. "Morning!" Woohyun chirped, throwing his book bag by the doorway before rushing to give you a hug, completely unaware of the tense situation or even the stare-off you were having with your husband. With one final glare, you shifted your attention from the cheating bastard Wooyoung to Woohyun, smiling to cover up your annoyance, "Morning Woodonnie," it had been a while since Woohyun grew out of his lisp phase but the nickname stuck and he liked that you had a special name for him, "Slept good?" he nodded with a wide grin, "Want food?" his grin widened and his nod was firmer. "Dayoung, do you want food?" you asked your daughter, who was too busy grinning on her phone to actually look at you, "Hey, Dayoung?" You called out again, sighing after carefully handing Woohyun his plate of eggs and half a toast.

Realizing that Dayoung was ignoring you, Wooyoung huffed and snatched Dayoung's phone, causing her to let out a 'hey!', "Your mother was talking to you, Dayoung," he stated, unimpressed with his daughter's blatant disregard for you (for once). Dayoung rolled her eyes and turned to you, "Yeah, I want breakfast, if not I wouldn't have come here now, would I?" Wooyoung was about to scold her but he was stopped when he saw you visibly gag, halting everyone's activities. Then you gagged once more before dropping the spatula on the counter and rushing to the toilet without saying anything else.

"She hadn't thrown up on those eggs, did she?" Dayoung asked, cringing at the thought of you doing something to her breakfast. Wooyoung snapped his head to Dayoung and glared at her, "Can you not? Your mom is sick and the last thing she needed was for you to act disrespectful to her," he scolded which surprised Dayoung because, to her knowledge, Wooyoung hadn't been that defensive of you for a long while.

"Is mom okay?" Woohyun asked, worry visible on his face and he was about to get off his chair to go to you when Wooyoung patted him on his head, "Don't worry about mom, okay? She'll be fine and she'll be even finer if she sees you eating," he smiled, trying to assure Woohyun which thankfully work as Woohyun began eating his breakfast with so much gusto Wooyoung had to tell him to slow down.

When Wooyoung got to you, you were getting out of the bathroom, looking pale and sweaty. He immediately approached you with a small towel he grabbed from the linen closet when he was getting to you, "Really, (y/n), you need to go to the hospital and get this checked out. I'll go with you today, okay? You definitely can't go anywhere yourself right now, I-" you simply snatched the towel from his hand and pat your mouth dry, refusing to look at him as you turned away, "I'm fine, Wooyoung, I can manage myself," it was the first time that you hoped he would just shrug and go back to not caring but of course, Wooyoung didn't come through when you desperately needed him to. Instead of leaving you be like you wanted, Wooyoung grabbed your shoulders gently and turned you around, "(y/n), please stop being stubborn and let me help you, okay? You're clearly unwell and whatever it is, we can get rid of it and you'll be better!"

You knew that he didn't mean it like that because you knew that he didn't know about the growing person inside of you. But still, with your current state both physical and emotional, you were hurt and you couldn't help but think that his words meant that he didn't want the child that he helped create.

Balling your fists, you used the tension in your hands to stop yourself from rushing over and punching Wooyoung in the face. Instead, you pushed his hands off of you. "Like I said, I can manage myself. Shouldn't you be worried about work? You know, with people at work that you need to give more attention to?" you tried pushing past him to tend to your children but he effectively blocked your path with his body, frowning down at you, "What's with you? I'm trying to help here, (y/n), I'm worried about you!" "Well, maybe you've been ignoring me too much too long to the point that right now I'm so used to doing things myself without your help, Wooyoung. You've been very absent from me and I'm sorry to say this but it has come to the point that your presence is actually making me feel annoyed and I don't know if it was because of you in general or if it's because of this very uncharacteristic shift in your behaviour that's making me wonder if you're compensating for something or if you genuinely want to be there for me now."

Though you had managed to not physically hit him, your words stung worse than any slap you could deliver to him. Wooyoung was painfully aware of how distant he had been with you since your miscarriage and what he thought was his attempt to give you space had instead caused a rift in your marriage. He never meant for things to go this far, heck he never thought that he was capable of cheating on you but when another woman approached him when he was crying in the practice room to offer him a shoulder to cry on, he felt like his own pain was being acknowledged. After all, the loss didn't just happen to you, it happened to him too. While you were in your zombie state, Wooyoung manned the ship and put himself on the back burner, not even letting himself falter and stupidly not letting himself process the pain. He wasn't justifying his infidelity whatsoever, he knew that it was beyond wrong and he was disgusting for committing to it for so long. But it felt nice to let his vulnerability taken care of even if it ended up with him using someone he had no affection for as a mean to get some form of twisted connection because he was too ashamed of himself to touch you again.

Wooyoung stood there silent, not knowing how to react, or more like not knowing what to react to first. So you simply shook your head and walked past him, this time successfully.

Soon, Wooyoung heard Dayoung and Woohyun saying (yelling) their goodbyes which was then followed by the front door shutting.

When the silence of the empty house settled in on him, he found himself slumped on the couch, emotionless as your words kicked him all over. His chest burned with hatred for himself and his fingers became tingly from anxiety. He couldn't help but think of the ways he had failed as a husband and perhaps as a father considering how his daughter treated you. It dawned on him how mad he was when Dayoung disrespected you earlier, how he hated seeing you, who had always treated Dayoung with a lot of consideration, to be treated that way. And while he felt justified for chastising his daughter for her action, it was almost laughable how he didn't do the same when what he had been doing was a hundred, if not a thousand times more disrespectful. He was a hypocrite. You didn't deserve this.

Negative emotions welled inside Wooyoung, creating turmoil that almost made it hard for him to breathe.

Unfortunately, despite his realization, Wooyoung found himself driven to an action he had repeatedly done like a sick act of compensation when he was feeling bad. His hand fished the phone out of his pocket and his fingers moved as if on their own, immediately finding the contact that he didn't even bother to fake because he trusted that you wouldn't snoop because you were not that kind of a person.

"Hey, I know you're not busy until later in the evening, can I come?"

And the self-hate repeated itself.

But how much can he hate himself when he is being distracted by shallow, unfulfilling "pleasure" instead of dealing with his true feelings? How much more pain should he give you before he could finally take the first step to stopping and coming clean?

Maybe this was the last time he did it.

Maybe.

Episode 1 plot summary (+complete list of scenes) and more details about later episodes

SPOILER WARNING SPOILER GOOD OMEN SPOILERS BELOW i'll leave my inbox open in case anyone has specific questions about season 2 eps

Scene 1: star creation scene Crowley needs help building constellations so he calls out at a shooting star-shape that turns out to be Aziraphale, who materializes in front of him. He asks Aziraphale to hold up an open scroll with schematics for the galaxies. When Aziraphale does so, Crowley pokes the center of the scroll with his hand crank device and twists it, so that nebulae shoot out. Yes there is a scene where Crowley says "look at that, gorgeous" and Aziraphale gets flustered. They watch in awe until Aziraphale tells Crowley "you do know after 6,000 years it'll be gone right? I read about it in the Great Plan". Crowley gets upset and protests, questioning the almighty, how there should be a suggestion box where they can put suggestions, and Aziraphale advises him not to say such things. Crowley says it's not like asking questions gets you into trouble. They watch the galaxies bloom and Crowley veils Aziraphale with his wing as shooting stars fall toward them, similar to the Garden of Eden scene but in reverse. Scene 2 aziraphale goes to record shop Aziraphale gets a note in the bookshop that says there's a matter of great "ugrency" (misspelled). He visits Maggie in the record shop and she's crying because she can't pay rent, so she's prepared to move. Aziraphale says if she gives him the records he requested, that'll be equivalent to the rent she owes. Maggie asks how he can forgive her and he says "I'm all about forgiveness, actually" and leaves.

Scene 3: crowley talks to shax this is the one posted on youtube, though it's a lengthened scene that includes the beginning where a spy tries to talk to crowley on the bench and he redirects him to the guy feeding ducks. those are the guys crowley is yelling at later. there is also a part where shax implies that crowley owes her specific information? it's very vague but it's probably why she's giving him updates on hell. yup, crowley does say he hasn't seen aziraphale in a while but it's clearly a lie lol Scene 4: michael mentions book of life

in heaven, michael is arguing with someone on the phone about the book of life, i thought at first it was beelzebub on the other end but it's probably uriel

Scene 5: gabriel appears on earth maggie visits nina who remembers her coffee order (skinny latte). then they're distracted by the commotion outside wherein gabriel shows up naked carrying a box. aziraphale is listening to the records but gabriel knocks on the door of his bookshop. there's a huge crowd outside and the moment aziraphale opens the door, gabriel says "I know you! :D" and hugs him in front of everyone while still naked LOL. aziraphale gets really embarrassed and brings gabriel inside. the rest of the scene is the one on youtube where gabriel explains he doesn't remember who he is. Scene 6: muriel finds matchbox short scene where muriel finds the matchbox with Job's passage on the floor of Heaven. you can see a bit of this in the trailer

Scene 7: crowley throws mail and meets shax again Crowley is in a random street throwing the mail shax gave him into a garbage can. Suddenly shax calls and crowley picks up, snapping at her that she shouldn't call and appear suddenly at the same time. shax appears behind him and says "why not?" this is the pic where both shax and crowley are on the phone -- theyre actually talking to each other lmao. shax tells crowley there are rumors of gabriel being missing and crowley is happy. she leaves. Scene 8:

aziraphale is talking to gabriel and we get the whole trailer scene ("you know that feeling where...") but in the real ep aziraphale's reaction is SO ANIMATED, with him standing up and saying "No! definitely not! I have no idea!" LMAO it's so funny, he's so in denial. We hear FLIES when it cuts to gabriel btw so maybe beelzebub is spying? HOW SUSPICIOUS. At one point Gabriel says "I love you" out of nowhere to Aziraphale and Aziraphale says "I..." and Gabriel smiles, looking like he's expecting an i love you back but Aziraphale just says "hmm". People were laughing so hard at this.

Aziraphale calls crowley and asks to meet at the coffee shop. Crowley informs him that gabriel is missing.

Scene 9: short scene where michael and uriel argue because michael said now with gabriel gone, someone has to be in charge...

Scene 10: Maggie brings Nina a record but Nina doesn't have a record player. Nina reveals she has a partner (Lindsay) and Maggie gets disappointed and leaves. She bumps into Crowley and Aziraphale on the way out and tells Aziraphale "you're an angel" lmao.

Scene 11: Crowley is PISSED PISSED PISSED the whole time, in fact the whole ep he looks like he's about to explode. We get the coffee shop scene HOWEVER right before that Crowley asks Aziraphale "what's wrong?" and Aziraphale says "why do you think something's wrong?" all nervously and Crowley says "you only ever call for 3 reasons: one, you're bored, two, you accomplished something and want to brag about it, and three, something's wrong. And you're using your 'something's wrong' voice." YUP THIS IS THE NEW 'i know what you smell like!'. we then get the naked man convo and crowley realizes immediately that aziraphale is stressed and says "is it something i can help with?" and aziraphale nods and THEY IMMEDIATELY GET UP and go to the bookshop with a plate of eccle cakes lmao. once crowley sees gabriel he and aziraphale start fighting. crowley gets mad at aziraphale and tells him he didn't command gabriel to answer properly. He yells at gabriel "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE BOOKSHOP?!" and uses his hypnotism but gabriel just says "I'm dusting" and does the passive-aggressive feather duster motion. we get the "carved out for ourselves" convo .aziraphale says "fine, i would love for you to help, but if you won't, then feel free to leave". crowley says "i'm not helping" and storms off. he goes out into the street and says to himself "dont do anything rash... wait 10 seconds before doing anything..." but he's already emmitting smoke. We get a funny convo between nina and maggie who are watching crowley from the coffee shop. Nina's all "the man who drank six expressos! He's smoking!" and maggie says "well of course, he needs to calms down!" and nina says "no i mean actually smoking!" Crowley does the lightning thing (maggie thinks he was actually struck by lightning) and it ends up locking Maggie and Nina in the shop and killing their phones. Scene 12:

seroquel and muriel show michael and uriel the matchbox. It has "The Resurrectionist" on it. They are baffled that something material has made its way into heaven. We get the "Gabriel, I think he's gone to earth" line.

Scene 13:

Crowley's in his car and flies start buzzing. beelzebub appears in his car and teleports them both to hell using flies. This is the pic in the poster where beelz and crowley are sitting on chairs side by side. crowley is disgusted and spits some flies out lmao. beelzebub says he can come back and work for hell (and even get a promotion) if he finds gabriel, and that according to heaven, anyone involved in hiding gabriel will be erased from the book of life. crowley is teleported back to his car and begins panicking. Scene 14: nina and maggie bond while locked in the coffee shop. maggie doesn't drink wine and didn't party, nina opens up some wine and drinks it out of a teacup. she says her girlfriend makes her text if she's late by 10 minutes and that she must be freaking out right now. they see someone walking outside and try to ask her to help free them but she doesn't notice them.

Scene 15:

Crowley is mad in his car, speeding, doing the usual etc. Good Old-fashioned lover boy is playing!!!! Scene 16: Crowley arrives and Nina and Maggie catch his attention. They signal for help and he just goes "oh" and snaps his fingers, unlocking the coffee shop and bringing back the electricity. He walks off lmao. Nina and Maggie are weirded out, Nina groans because her phone is bombarded with texts from Lindsay asking where she is. Crowley enters and we get the "I'm back" scene. Aziraphale says he has to do the apology dance and Crowley is all "no way" at first but Aziraphale says "I had to do it in 1861, 1942..." and Crowley says fine and dances.

IT'S REALLY HILARIOUS. HE ENDS IT WITH A BALLERINA BOW LIKE THIS LMAO

So we get the "we need to hide him" convo and they decide to each use half a miracle so that their miracles wont be detected by heaven/hell. crowley will hide gabriel from heaven and aziraphale will hide gabriel from hell. they do the hand-holding thing (like in the pic). theyre not sure if it worked but crowley tests it by standing on a chair and poking at the space above gabriel LOL and there's a hint of a shield so he says it worked, and that he's sure heaven or hell didn't detect a thing. Gabriel is all "now i have two friends :D" and crowley says "We are not friends >:(" Scene 17: an alarm is blaring in heaven because CLEARLY they noticed the half miracle ahahahaha. michael, uriel and seraquel go to the globe and see purple smoke streaming out of the UK. they 'zoom in' and realize it's coming from aziraphale's bookshop.... (interesting that michael refers to aziraphale as a 'former angel' here)

End episode Soon I will summarize ep 2! Some hints for future eps too: -There's a big rain scene -There's an epic scene in the bookshop that took several weeks to film! (youve seen some hints in the trailer) -There are at least 3 jokes about aziraphale and crowley having sex that are scattered throughout the season LOL one of them is nina noticing crowley grumpy and saying "you look like mr. fell didn't let you top last night" and crowley's reaction is amazing. I'll say no more (for now)

My substitute teacher ships bunny no way?!?!

so not that long ago my class had a substitute teacher and the sub we had teaches our class often and I'll call him mr S. So me and my friend were sitting next 2 each other and we were meant 2 be doing work right but b4 I had told my friend abt how I did a sp ship tierlist 💀 and than she went on2 teirlist maker and started doing a sp ship tierlist, than mr S comes up behind us and is like "what r u ment 2 be doing" or smt I cant remember and my friend switches tabs 2 her work and she says "im just doing my work" and he says "no go back 2 the tab u were on" so she gos back on2 the tierlist and he says smt like "oh is that sp?" then my friend says "yeah I'll start doing my work now" than mr S gos "nah screw ur work" than he just clicks the tab w/ the tierlist me and my friend r just in shock and im holding back tears than he says 2 me and my friend and says like "so r these relation ships or friendships?" and my friends says "friendships" and im just sitting there wondering wtf was going on and looking @ my other friends on the table and they also look really confused and he starts going through the tierlist and see's the ship @ the very top in OTP and hes like "wats that ship?" and my friend says "its called dip" i think she said that or smt i dont know nad than he starts talking abt creek and he says "didnt that jittery kid and um stan like hav a relation ship in that 1 episode" and me and my friend were really confused 4 a second than 1 or us says "do u mean tweek and craig?😭" than he instantly says "yeah" and i thought he was gonna be like agenst the gays or smt but aparently not than he gos back 2 talking abt the ship tierlist and he surprizingly says "i really like uh butters i think and kenny" and me and my friend just stared @ eachother and btw he wasnt talking abt him liking the characters individuly he was talking abt them like as a relationship me and my friend started bursting out laughing and he just looked @ and said smt along the lines of "wats so funny?" and i maneged 2 say through tears "its nothing its just and inside joke we hav" or smt i dont know than the my other friends on my table started laughing than he said "ok get back 2 ur work now" than he walks away than we end up doing our work and a bit later while were eating lunch my friend that was also sitting on the table asks him "wats ur fav sp quote?" and he says "my fav quotes gotta be screw u guys im going home" and the whole table starts looking @ me and 1 of my friends says "hah thats wat (my name) says when they log of discord" and than my friend that asked wat his fav sp quote was says "my fav quote is oh my god they killed kenny u basterds!" and i just look at my him like u just said basterd in front of the teacher dude wtf and i thought mr S was gonna say smt abt my friend saying basterd but he didnt say anything and than we all just went on with our day and now my school just started having our schoo holiday for 2 weeks but next term were gonna hav him as a teacher for the first 4 weeks and now me and my friend that was doing the tierlist call him the bunny shipper but ot 2 his face. So that's the story of how I found out that my sub teacher watches sp and Ships Bunny and Creek 10/10.

Ok Andy this had been on my mind for a while now and I really want to hear your thoughts on this!

So we all know that Shouto is pure husband material, the kinda guy you'd be proud to introduce to your parents! But yk all those years of abuse and trauma (our poor bby ;-;) would definitely take a big toll on anyone, right?! So I was reminiscing about the earlier episodes where he is all closed off and cold to everyone, and that really got me thinking... what would dating Shouto REALLY be like.

How much of his behavior in a relationship really be affected by his past? Obviously nobody is perfect and even though our princess man comes close what do you think his shortcomings are as a person/partner? What do you think his toxic traits would be? What could be some of his bad habits? How would he react during an argument? I used to hc that he would be really calm and passive but then I remembered this scene

Ofc us being his partner would change things, but he DOES lash out at times. The police officer hadn't yelled at them, he was just explaining what they did was wrong according to the law (which could be unfair but thats his job) and he straight up called him a slur 💀 (well yk in this society where so many ppl have animal related quirks it probably is a slur? Idk tho). He was sorry later but still. I was so shocked when I internalized the fact that Shouto does infact have quite a temper, even when he's not rude/ aggressive about it. It doesn't make him bad or anything because 9/10 times it's well warranted and I am just a pussy who doesn't handle other's anger well but yk...

WHO WOULD EXPECT A TEMPER FROM THIS LIL FACE?!

I am really wanna take his character and study him under a microscope and I am really interested to see your pov on this. Also don't feel inclined to agree with anything I said if you dont, I asked you precisely cuz I wanted a different way of looking at him from mine.

Btw none of this is to paint him as a bad person or partner because of a few shortcomings or his trauma. We all know he's too precious for that and that would be hypocritical of me especially since I have many of my habits and unhealthy ways of dealing with stuff that I dislike, but I also feel like he has so much angst potential in issues that aren't necessarily rooted in his family but moreso his own personality. Healing is often a "one step forward and three step back journey" and while I hate to watch him struggle, his perseverance gives me a lot of strength. Also obviously people change over the course of time and character development and all that, but we see even after the MASSIVE amounts of character development Bakugo has he still retains a lot of his previous qualities and obviously still struggles with a few things. I wonder if it's similar for Shouto. I wonder what he struggles with 🤔 (idk why I am scared but I don't want ppl to take these dumb sleepy thoughts of mine the wrong way yk lol)

I support my mans rights, his wrongs and everything in between :>

(p.s. I am so sleepy rn I don't even know if any of this is coherent cuz the points are flying all over the place but I hope you get a gist of what I am trying to ask. I love myself some sweet angst when it comes to all my blorbos but when I think of Shouto nothing obvious comes to mind. Also whenever I write even an ask or question like this my respect for writers keeps increasing tenfold! How do you guys write fics at like 4 am and it's still a masterpiece and I can barely string my thoughts together... )

Yes!!! I have so many thoughts about this, particularly as someone who also has daddy issues and a hot temper but actively works to be better as well lol.

I do think for the most part we've really seen Shouto move past who he was in those earlier episodes. That is not to say he still doesn't have those feelings, but he arguably manages them in a more regulated way. He has the temper but now he also has the tools and the perspective to better articulate himself.

I think generally Shouto would work hard to be calm and patient during an argument, but as with any human being, mistakes will be made and tempers will spike. I think during particularly bad arguments he'd get more closed off, like in those earlier episodes, would try to go off by himself so that he doesn't explode with that white-hot rage.

I do think, thankfully, that Shouto's ability to show empathy and compassion even in the middle of what we know are the most emotionally trying times of his life (the fights with Dabi), bodes well for his future ability to communicate and regulate himself on the whole. I do not see him as the kind of man who would yell or break things; I see him as the kind of man who now does everything in his power not to be like that.

And also with a face like that, would we not just let him win any argument anyway?? LOL

Kuro Neko Rant

Kuro Neko was definitely an episode where Ladybug was being unfavorable. We can follow her to how being guardian and shouldering all this responsibility can be really overwhelming for someone so young as her and how it affects her relationship with her partner Chat Noir. Chat/Adrien is evidently a comfort character of mine but I can understand where Ladybug is coming from! Marinette has made so many sacrifices to hold the title as Ladybug and bear the responsibility as guardian of the miraculous.

Throughout Season 4, Chat Noir has been showing signs of being angry and excluded from the loop. Examples being, Scarabella's first appearance, The entire episode of Rocketear, and in general, not receiving any explanation from Ladybug...building up to the point that Chat Noir feels that his presence isn't needed to save the day. To the actual episode, Kuro Neko is supposed to be the episode where Chat Noir finally says enough after being neglected by Ladybug as a core member of the team, THEIR team. The episode begins with Ladybug answering a curious news reporter about the Chat Noir's lack of appearance during these akuma fights and to this she responds "He's a partner like any other. We must pick the best superheroes for each mission, with or without Chat Noir." The very last bit hits Adrien as he's watching this on the news particularly to the heart. The worst part is that there's just no reason as to why Chat Noir wouldn't be considered the best for the mission as these are all akumas that THEY'VE FOUGHT BEFORE. Hell if they can defeat Mr. Pigeon 72 times and more in the span of less than 10 minutes, why would Ladybug recruit 4 heroes to immobilize the same baby villain they've fought before with ease. Before, Passing out miraculouses meant they needed one or two specific powers to help fight a certain villain instead of recruiting 4 to serve the same purpose. Plus! Ladybug has defeated villains by herself before. The problem with this is that she needs to recruit 4 superhereos to compensate for Chat Noir's position in the team. Chat Noir goes to help Ladybug and friends to defeat another akumatized villain but as soon as he gets there he realizes that the mission is over and Ladybug already fixed everything. He meets up with them either way but they are all in a rush to go to their rendevous points, especially ladybug who increasingly becomes agitated with Chat Noir trying give a helping hand and finally snaps at him, "If you want to save me time, stop wasting it in the first place!" and zips off. Chat Noir's last thread snaps and he shouts at her that she can take his miraculous when she's done to which she angrily dismisses before realizing the implication later and coming back to find that she's too late, with the Black Cat miraculous on the roof without Chat Noir in sight. (Which btw, how the hell did adrien get down LMAO nobody saw Adrien Agreste supermodel dangle on the roof of a glass building trying to get down???) Plagg comes to his defense when Ladybug says, she didn't do anything, of course Plagg metions how Chat Noir has been neglected for other heroes but drops the ball at Ladybug's defense where she states that, Chat Noir should be happy he has more time off. WHEN LITERALLY I FEEL LIKE HE MENTIONS OFTEN HOW MUCH HE LOVES BEING A SUPERHERO!! AND!! In one episode he says, "The times where I have the most fun is when i'm here with you" something like that. but Plagg drops the ball at implying that Chat Noir doesn't want time off because he's in love with Ladybug.🤦‍♂️ Ladybug then feels guilty about this fact, saying that Chat Noir being in love with her is the problem and they should split. This being dwiddled down into a love problem irks me because yes while there could be some jealousy involved, Chat Noir feels neglected as a PARTNER. Being Chat Noir, grants Adrien a freedom to do whatever he wants considering his restrictive lifestyle. Chat Noir is his escapism...not a suit to flirt with Ladybug. Anyways, Plagg then goes to trick Ladybug into thinking there were two candidates for the holder of his miraculous so he could give back the miraculous to Adrien who is rotting in his room tbh. Plagg convinces Adrien to become Chat Noir again but this time, a Chat Noir that can meet all of Ladybug's expectations as the perfect partner. Making a whole new personality to fit, Plagg recommends that Adrien should simply behaves how he does when he's with his father or Natalie. Thus, Cat Walker is born.

Aside from his amazing design...Cat Walker turns out to be the perfect partner. The akumatized villain, Ladybug impulsively mistook for Chat Noir was actually a Sentimonster. Cat Walker was simply just "too perfect" to fit as the new holder because Ladybug almost instantly becomes infatuated with him and can't focus on how to apply the lucky charm. She ends up saving the day by herself and Cat Walker is to give the ring to Plagg so that the original Chat Noir can return. ... ⬇️ THIS IS ACTUALLY JUST THE CORE OF THE RANT ⬇️ What made me upset was how easily Ladybug fell for Cat Walker, considering Cat Walker is just the superhero version of Adrien's public image. I'm not saying Chat Noir is who Adrien really is but he's a part of him and seeing that part of him blatantly rejected, is disheartening. Plus, the implications that Adrien was willing to act like his public image from that point on just to be recognized and put on the team, to not be neglected, just sucks! His public image leaking into his superhero life, the life that is supposed to be his escape of all the expectations placed on him. LIKE LET THIS BOY BE GOOFY AND MAKE PUNS. Worst of all, Ladybug does not apologize and demotes Chat Noir to being a partner like any other but it's okay! Because he is her "favorite". 🙄 They had a better apology at the end of the season than in this episode where Ladybug actually acknowledges all the shit she was putting Chat Noir through.

No problems were solved in this episode and it was really just filler to show off a nice design and ruin my day.

Honestly, I would delete most of this rant but I spent too much time on it. 🥲

No actually, time can't pass differently in the never realm.

Sorry Doc, but now that you're the one making lore tweets, you get the prolonged tumblr rants from me.

To be fair, he does seem to be handling things in a way I much prefer to tommy. Cryptic self deprecation at a (maybe?) mistake is always a better look than doubling down, so this is all incredibly light hearted, but here we go:

If time does in fact work differently, then I have to assume that means time is moving more quickly in the never realm. Zane gets sent to the Never-Realm, and in the time it takes for the ninja to follow, sixty years passes in the never. Great.

In show it seems like it takes maybe a day or two for the ninja to realize what's happened and follow after him. For some easy math, let's just round it out to about 6 days, meaning that each day in ninjago is a decade in the never.

Problem is, we see pix and wu waiting for the ninja to return. We have at least 2 incidents in ninjago taking place on separate days (The Absolute Worst and Kaiju Protocol), meaning at minimum, the ninja are gone for 2 days ninjago time, which would imply the ninja were in the never realm for 2 whole decades which... can not be true.

So, maybe I did some estimating wrong. What if it took the ninja a solid month to grieve their loss, and then realized there was hope and go after Zane? That takes the ratio down to about 2 years in the never for every ninjago day. 4 years is still an insanely long time which does not map up to what we see in the never realm. In MotM, the ninja refer to this and other missions as all happening within the span of "weeks", implying that not only do all these missions happen immediately back to back, but that their time in the never realm was no more than a couple weeks. Now, they may be referring to the time that passed in Ninjago alone, but the way it's phrased seems to imply the time experienced by the ninja themselves. It's phrased as a reminder that they haven't been home in a while, which they obviously wouldn't need to be reminded of, if they had spent more than a month or so away, nevermind 4 years.

But say that we assume the never adventure took place over the course of a full month in never time, the most I am willing to conceed before later statements don't make sense. That leaves us with a 1/15 ratio, meaning the gap between Zane being blasted away, and the ninja following after him is 4 years. That... can not be true. There is no chance it took Wu 4 years to go and visit aspheera for the first time. There is no way everyone looks the same, the team hasn't split up, and Pixal just happens to still be having plot relevant nightmares. There is no way the time skip between episodes 14 and 15 of season 11 is 4 times as long as between seasons 14 and 15.

All of this is not to mention, we're still using our extremely conservative estimate of the ninja being gone for 2 days ninjago time, which not only assumes that the absolute worst and Kaiju Protocol happen back to back, but also that the news broke to the papers that the ninja had left, it was printed, and a paper was discarded close enough to blow over prison walls, in less than a day.

So, unless "time passed differently" means that time literally started passing differently when the ninja entered into the realm, normalizing it to ninjago time... I do not see what this could possibly mean. We see a montage of time passing in episode 17 that shows us a day in the never is just about as long as we would expect, if not maybe longer. The only way I can think that this might make sense is if people in the never realm refer to a day as a year- meaning Zane was corrupted for maybe 2 months max. And that kinda undercuts the drama a bit, don't it?

Btw, any way you slice it, formlings definitely age differently. Akita's tribe gets frozen as winter comes to the never realm, when she's a child, and 60 years later, she is a teenager seeking revenge. Which for those who care (me, I'm saying this for me), means if you like the 'Lloyd has life extending Oni blood like his dad' HC, Akita may be a decent choice to ship.

I do appreciate his attempts to make this the canon answer, as it does feel less stupid than the time travel thing. The 60 year blast from tommy feels inherently random and without purpose, and so comes across as a plot hole filler more than anything else. Unfortunately, this explanation is pretty impossible unless you want to introduce some MAJOR time skips to the timeline, or change the 60 year timeframe all together.

Anyway, the consistent time difference is impossible, and Akita has a very long expected life span. Unless they explicitly decide to kill her off, there is no reason to believe she is dead.

jigokuraku modern au headcanons pt 1

TW: violence, assault, and many more related themes you think this au will not have the same drama as they had in canon? this au will still have it regardless bcos I am angsty like that. btw imma do this per character so it's elaborated hehe

gabimaru

used to become a part of the yakuza, particularly the top hitman of the Iwa family (see my reference there)

his parents were both hitmen who tried to run away from the yakuza but were killed by osa, later on adopted him legally and made him yui's fiance at birth

contrary to canon, he's been interacting with yui a lot before their formal engagement ceremony so yeah they be closer than ever but they weren't obviously close

ran away with yui from the yakuza bcos he wanted the two of them to live normal lives so they stayed at a rundown apartment for like a few days, hiding from the yakuza constantly

that is until he was forced to confront osa and kill him mercilessly by disembowelling him and shooting his head 10 times

his last act as the hollow involved killing 4 to 5 men with a helmet and scissors after they almost harassed yui

stayed at a crime and rehabilitation center owned by the yamada clan afterwards since they were both minors plus yui was dealing with ptsd episodes

he and yui are still part of the iwa family tho but the yakuza part of the clan is not after them anymore

was still able to continue school bcos of jikka's interference (uhh let's just say he became the gabiyui caretaker) so yeah he transferred school midway in his term

people are still sht scared of him bcos of his reputation as a delinquent

none of the yakuza underdogs from other clans fight him anymore after receiving news of his defect from the iwa clan (shija just gives him criminal offensive side eye tho)

he is actually yui's kouhai in their school tho so he was always around the second years' building waiting for her during lunch and after school hours

he is classmates with toma tho (who gives him criminal offensive side eye bcos he fought with chobe once and it ended up with chobe almost dying, well gabi too but still)

constantly getting recruited by martial arts and other related clubs but he turns them down bcos he doesn't wanna deal with any sort of fighting

actually helps yui during her library committee duties (but is still not a member)

sometimes, he part-times as a delivery guy from a logistics company just so he can have his own allowance to buy things

is actually so smart in academics but is so rude like if you ask him abt a subject he would say "why don't you get this? it's easy" but he just means well (accdg to him at least)

goes to school riding a motorbike with yui sitting behind him (and yes that spot is reserved for her only)

girls don't usually pay attention to him until he starts showing off his athletic skills or when they see him without a shirt and they're like "I didn't know Gabimaru-kun is so hot"

yes, especially when he wears glasses 🥵🥵🥵

as a child, she wanted a normal life like she didn't want the yakuza part of the family to be bestowed on her

yeah until osa slapped her face and beat her up so she would know her place as a woman of the iwa family

the smile left her since then, which saddened gabimaru to some extent since he has always known her for her life and beaming happiness

she and gabimaru got closer as they age but they mostly meet in private and it wasn't until gabimaru opened up abt not wanting to kill that they cemented their relationship into "more than just two people in an arranged marriage"

so they ran away, only for osa's men to catch her being alone in a rundown apartment, then they tried to harass her

even burned her face, a reminder of the yakuza's imprint on her

yui healed after being taken to a crime and rehabilitation center, accepting everything that has happened and finally being able to live with gabimaru in peace

now that she is a normal high school girl, you would think yui's life is rainbows and colorful butterflies

nah, she only got nasty rumors abt her being a spoiled yakuza princess and the scar might be an appeal for pity

fun fact: yui is in the same year as tenza, sagiri, and yuzuriha but sagiri and yuzu are from different class

one time tenza was helping yui with class duties bcos there were a lot of heavy materials and girls think she was two-timing gabimaru

so they confronted her abt it at the back of the school building, even threatened to do something to gabimaru, and the next thing yui broke the bones on their wrists (you think yui can't? she can. it's canon that she can crush chestnuts with bare hands)

and it was widespread around school to a point where people constantly avoided being involved with the gabiyui couple at this point

she's a member of the library committee which made all students wary bcos yeah bone-breaking incident

has actually high grades but not enough to make her an honor student (it's almost at par with gabi)

her cooking skills are on-point tho that some of her classmates go to her for cooking tips especially when it's time for their cooking class

But also I'm gonna take the chance to give the Shadows points for inclusivity because they seemed to have no problem mixing the team up even before this tournament

I wonder if there was a taboo against that due to the flux wars not being that long ago, I mean the teams are already like our national football teams so most would only want to play for their planet, but it's gotta be even weirder if you switch teams and there are still tensions between your people. So this mixed flux tournament could have been a big political moment if the show explored that side more.

Ok the shading on the characters is bothering me, was it always so dark in the previous seasons? They look like they're always standing infront of a bright light.

I have already spoken about this moment here on this post but I'm gonna bring it back because I feel like no one appreciates it enough.

Hyung JK in action. Bon voyage season 4 episode 6.

Btw this was a satellite Jimin moment. He was on the other side then went to sit between JK and Suga. Anyway. Members are done eating and are just hanging by the fire. They then start discussing where they will sleep. Jimin says while looking at JK:

The night before he slept in the RV. So this night he wanted to sleep in the tent. Get the experience. So he turns to JK and says that 👆🏽 JK replies:

But then Jimin is like; babe, I don't think you understand, I will be in that tent with Suga

But JK super unbothered and very casual is like; go ahead, its cool. Sounds good

Like I mentioned before, JK doesn't have an issue with all Yoonmin moments. And he had no problem with the sleeping in the tent together.

What gets me about this though is how Jimin is clearly asking for permission here. Because he knows how JK feels about Suga. If that wasn't the case he wouldn't have specified he would be sleeping in the tent with Suga. But he did not want to upset bae and so he wanted to make sure JK was okay with it before he did anything.

The power JK holds y'all. Yeah, Jimin is in charge always but there are moments where JK pulls his hyung card and I'm sorry but that is just so 🔥 to me. The power the Jungkonda JK holds.

However, something else happens later that made me go ❓❓❓❓❓❓

When Hopekook go to bed Jimin comes inside the RV and hovers.

Like dude just stands there doing nothing. Like go watch and see, he stands there for a while doing nothing as Jhope and JK settle in.

I didn't understand why he did this. Like it could be a million things. This season Jimin really takes care of JK, pays more attention to him than usual because JK had been through alot. So it could be he was ensuring JK was settled before he left? Could it be he wasn't convinced JK was okay with the tent situation? Or, option 3 given to me by a friend, could it be that he was making sure JK was indeed sleeping with Jhope and not V who likes to cuddle people in his sleep? (We all know what happened in BV Malta when Taekook were cuddling and Jhope found them and couldn't wait to tell Jimin) Or option 4 was he there to make sure Jhope too doesn't cuddle JK in his sleep? I mean this is how Hopekook slept after all

They could have been avoiding the sun though. But still... I was sus 🧐🧐🧐

sokka’s treatment in lok was astonishing tbh but i’m actually glad he was dead by the time the series started bc toph being a cop??? aang being an awful dad???? they would’ve ruined him and suki’s characters lbr.

as far as any possible kids go idk we didn’t meet suyin till book 4 we barely saw izumi i think they just didn’t want to make the new series be a atla reunion plus lok was only meant to be one season so they were making that shit up as they went along lmao. and back in 2012-14?? they didn’t know themselves what happened to sukka lmao.

sokka and suki are definitely the type to break up bc of long distance but then find their way back to each other a few years later especially as they settle into their roles in life.

while bryke definitely neglect suki and sokka to some capacity also they do have a soft spot for suki after bringing her back. many don’t consider her to be team avatar but they’ve stated they do so idk ! she shows up a lot in the comics which have obv been created post-lok and it’s been said that they’ll utilise it’s plots and characters in shall see in future projects (crane fish town becoming republic city maybe??? where suki currently is working?? and sokka later lives!!)

i’m p sure suki will be in it at some capacity anyway and that there’ll stick with jennie as she’s one of the few asian og va’s. she’s doing a lot of work atm for avatar studios.

also random but i literally found out today that it’s not bryke-confirmed that mai and zuko end up together. it was a comment on a panel by the old comic writer. it’s not technically canon. izumi is the spit of mai anyway but hmm! interesting!!

btw btw suyin’s father was def a sandbending outlaw who toph had a secret relationship with that couldn’t be public bc of her role as police chief x

oo big ask ok let me break this up into different paragraphs …

fist point - one thing i will admit about lok is that it fell short in incorporating the original characters into the new series in an interesting way with enough verisimilitude (realistic-ness) that it didn’t feel like they were just throwing a popular character into an episode for the sake of it. such as the whole ‘aang is a bad dad’ thing because they under-utilised him as a mentor figure to korra and instead focused on his supposed favourite son (i have thoughts on this re. aang NOT being a ‘Bad’ dad but i will make another post on it if u are interested (or have i alr made one? i’ll make another one.))

i have to agree that they would’ve probably done something shitty to sokka or suki if they were included. especially with the entire first season of lok being about bender/non-bender equality… i can just imagine they’d make sokka say something dumb about the equalist movement being 100% Bad instead of him actually supporting some of their completely valid arguments. idk. i’m sad there’s no sukka but at the same time…. quit while ur ahead yk.

second point - sukka long distance relationship is so real ESPECIALLY during their first few years together. i can see them just kinda calling it off because of commitment issues due to their work, etc. but not ever really losing feelings. they’d be endgame tho🥰

i can absolutely see suki being in upcoming projects! especially since she and the other kyoshi warriors expanded their reach across the nations - it would be hard to ignore them completely if we’re assuming they’re including comic canon into the universe. i hope jenny returns!!

third point - yeah! how crazy that maiko as izumi’s parents isn’t canon confirmed… though she’s so clearly mai’s daughter. i wonder if mai’s role will be expanded in upcoming projects / if she’ll be featured more. hmmm.

fourth - would honestly prefer this to the theory sokka is her father lol. it kinda baffles me that TOPH became a cop.. not bc she opposes authority - there’s something different about enforcing it than there is having to follow it. i can see toph in authoritative positions, and she fits them well. but i think it baffles me moreso because why would toph even work as a COP? isn’t that boring as hell for her?? go do something awesome like probending or professional underground fighting (adult blind bandit anyone?? this would make a good fic) or literally just construction idk i feel like toph isn’t a Hard Worker type that would want to be stuck in such a rigid career.

It seems like the Hazbin Hotel series has been usually doing a lot more telling than showing, and one of the things that especially suffers from this is Angel's path to healing.

Episode 4 marks the start of the process; Angel starts to talk to and confide to others about his personal problems.

Episode 6, however, tells us "yeah, he's doing pretty good btw". They even show us him standing up to Valentino and shit.

Which, don't get me wrong, I'm always happy to see people giving Val the ass-kicking he deserves but like-

h o w ?

We barely see any progression of Angel Dust resolving his personal issues. Again, he learns to talk to others about his problems in Episode 4, but that's about it. And Episode 6 wants us to believe that he's been pretty good breaking his old habits (it's supposed to serve as proof for the angels in heaven that "yes, sinners can change and get better.")

Angel has been dealing with his personal addiction since even before his death (reminder that he died from an overdose in 1947). He's even chosen to name himself after a drug.

Drug rehabilation is a very slow and gradual process. Addiction to drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc. isn't something you can just turn off with the flick of a switch. It's not a habit you can easily break within a week or even a month. People say that they're going to quit, but they don't. Because they can't quit. Not without a steady rehabilation process and therapeutic/medical help.

We don't know how much time passes between each episode of the show. No matter how long the time gap between episodes 4 & 6 is, the fact remains that we're only seeing the beginning of a healing process (episode 4) and either a "third act" or the ending to that process (episode 6.)

The series shows us the beginning of the pathway to healing but then suddenly jumpcuts to a much later point.

It's like giving us a book with 80% of the pages missing.

When I say like a crow ; he literally gets you some things you might like and gives you it on your doorstep. It's weird when he doesn't tag it from himself...

Let's get one thing straight; He can't swim, both because of his childhood and because of his arms. So if you go to the beach or pool, he'll just be watching you.

His arms and eyes are a difficult topic for him, even for you. So he probably won't tell you until he's ready. (Since he's had these arms and eyes during the flashback of party)

But he does have depersonalization episodes due to it, having to remember it and just hating it and not remembering that it's himself. He'll need comfort but they hardly happen anymore

He does also talk about how his parents always wanted him to be in RMU and were pretty much strict and unloving. You and Vincent are the only people who know....

He loves sharing the cats with you! And sharing anything with you, wether it be talking sharing or clothes.

He does try to quit his smoking for you if you're uncomfortable with it... He will always make sure you're comfortable and okay!

Well I adore all the seasons but my ranking goes a little weird. There are first and second halves bc I can't decide full seasons lol

Season 1 is the best obviously. The classic class dynamics, the characters being babies and just starting off their development, the Cohens accepting Ryan and the beginning of Ryissa and Sethmer/the core four. I remember watching the first two episodes being like- yeah they always fight and burn shit down, this show seems like my thing. Thank you @closetfascination for recommending it xD. The Oliver storyline was so intense and all of the conflicts in that season is so entertaining and dramatic, even though there were ones that didn’t age well- like Luke's gay dad or Hailey's stripping.

Then I'd say Season 2B. Mostly because Seth and Summer and Ryan and Marissa coming back together as couples and as the core four. The Mallpisode was great! The whole "save Trey" drug bust storyline was cool too- I basically gasped when Seth and Ryan are talking in the kitchen and Seth is like, are you disappointed Trey is selling drugs after everything you did for him? And Ryan is like he isn’t, he only confessed to the police to protect Marissa. Seth asks how do you know? Ryan says, because I was about to do the same. It was painful to see the SA storyline and how it impacted Ryissa. Loved Marissa and Alex's relationship in the beginning but didn’t like how they treated them later on- I get that they were getting homophobic backlash but they didn’t have to casually homophobic too :( Julie and the revenge porn situation was so icky although I did like that she was about to kill Caleb for money but saved herself from doing it but he died anyways lol. The comic book storyline was so ridiculous it was funny. And of course, Kirsten's deterioration was the hardest but it made so much sense.

Season 3A. I love how the season starts off them facing external battles (expulsion, scrutiny) but internally going strong. The core four was ride and die for each other! Sethmer planning to go to college together was so cute, and I like that despite being horrible to Ryan, Julie stayed loyal to Kirsten and protected her and the town from Charlotte's scam. It ends with the core four successfully getting Marissa back into Harbour which is very sweet! I didn’t like the Taylor/Dean Hess storyline but him getting kicked out was satisfying and even though Taylor started out annoying, I grew to like her when she started befriending and helping them. I even liked Marissa's public school storyline until the Johnny thing became too depressing.

Season 2A. Loved Seth and Ryan being back but the whole season is Kirsten and Sandy slowly facing issues and it was so painful to watch :( Marissa had it rough with her mom and Ryan leaving and DJ, but her dynamic with Alex started off really fun. I liked Lindsay's character and her relationship with Ryan and the reveal that she was Caleb's daughter but the aftermath was painful as expected. Sethmer started off kinda flaky and shaky but they got better eventually.

Then 4. It starts off dark but I'm glad they took the time to honour Marissa. It feels like a different show but I loved it. Ryan and Taylor's entire relationship is so funny and sweet and I love that Ryan got to be a little lighter this season. Sethmer getting engaged was funny but also a little frustrating. This season would've been higher because I was mostly happy and carefree watching it but it's so low because Frank's introduction was so suspenseful and fun but they ruined it for me by making it another "let's forgive abusive parents for doing the bare minimum". I loved the ending though- Julie getting her degree, Sandy and Kirsten having another baby, independent Summer, Sethmer married and Ryan helping that kid. It was also funny when Chris Pratt was in love with Seth for two seconds lol

Season 3B. It's the last one because it is the most painful lol (Ryissa breakup, everything about Johnny, them being in random relationships especially Marissa and Volchok ew and her eventual death) but I really love it too. Summer and Marissa officially becoming sisters was cute. The post-breakup friendship between Ryan and Marissa came naturally to them without the romantic expectations. Ryan's jealousy arc with MV was so fun- I always howl in the scene where Ryan and Sadie are hooking up in the poolhouse and Seth yells from outside that Marissa is hooking up with Volchok and the scene cuts to Ryan letting Sadie out because "the mood is ruined"- and ofc the prom and the aftermath. Ryan learning about Theresa's baby and putting up boundaries with Jess was cool to watch. Sethmer breaking up over college was frustrating and sad but glad they got back together and Seth smoking weed and burning down Sandy's office was so funny. Kirsten almost relapsing was sad and I'm glad Sandy finally prioritized family over the hospital.

As promised, more screenshots! This time from Episode 3. Of all episodes, this was one of the slowest for me, but not by much!! There are so many things to like about this episode (but comparatively, Episode was more exciting). This episode marks the beginning of Usopp's recruitment to the Strawhats. So, good things I liked from this episode (a complete series overview review later, including some hiccups I didn't love, but wasn't a dealbreaker for me):

Not just for this episode, but I loved the music. As someone who has always been primarily manga over anime, I really enjoyed the take on the music for this entire series! It's literally been stuck in my head all week... Even more, I really did enjoy the themes and motifs for each character! We even get a hint of We Are or Overtaken at crucial moments in the live action!! (One of which was the introduction to Going Merry!) It's interesting, I loved the moments when these appeared, but did not immediately catch that they were versions of the Anime OST, because evidently, I don't watch the anime as often...

Helmeppo. Have I said it yet? Even if I have, I'll say it again. Aidan Scott does such an amazing job as Helmeppo. He's a complete ass, yet he's become a likeable ass (and no!! I don't mean that literal scene from Episode 1! Some days I wonder if the choice to include was like a metaphor for his character...it probably wasn't but still!) Nonetheless, this guy has so many facial expressions and pretty damn perfect for Helmeppo. I like that we get to see more of him (and Koby and Garp) as we get to see how they grow from their roots to post-timeskip in the manga.

Nami, Zoro, Luffy. Again, Episode 3 gives us more development of their dynamic as a crew. They're still not together yet, but this is also one of the reasons I really enjoy Episodes 3 and 4. You can't have the Nami, Zoro, and Luffy of live action as they are in Episodes 7 and 8 without these two episodes. Because it's in 3 & 4 that we really get to know each one and they each get to know each other. There are so many great moments. Like when Luffy is idealistically optimistic about how to get a ship, and Nami is characteristically cynical, with Zoro totally agreeing with her. And like those two moments between the three: 1) Nami asking for Luffy and Zoro's opinion on her outfit (they just don't get it), and 2) Nami and Luffy making a bet (I love this moment because we get such a lovely conclusion of it in the next episode.)

Usopp, and almost immediately we get strong Usopp and Luffy camaraderie. Which was fantastic. You can see they're almost cut from the same cloth.

Btw, have I mentioned yet how awesome Mackenyu is at Zoro. Right from the get go, I was super happy that he was cast as Zoro (despite people's complaint that Taz's hair was too short and Mackenyu was too pretty).

Inaki is great at Luffy. His Luffy isn't exactly the same as Luffy in the manga, but we're looking at two different mediums here. In essence though, he makes a wonderful Luffy. He has all the core values of Luffy, loves and hates, and seriously, Inaki gives Luffy some really wonderful faces throughout the live action!

At first, I was a bit hmmm over Klahadore's costume. it felt a bit much. But the more I watched the actor act him out, the more I forgot about the costume and focussed on the man. And well, I can say I was fully convinced.

Kaya's mansion. I do love the idea that we see events taking place at the mansion, rather than on the hill in the manga. I mean I adore that fight in the manga too, because it has many funny moments, but the live action variation does a great job bringing a different location alive. (And I love that I now know that there's electricity in One Piece... which was a question the Production designer Richard Bridgland had asked about.) I love Kaya's wardrobe. It's insane, but so wonderful to look at. Her bedroom is adorable. Her dining room tells a story. The kitchen is definitely a kitchen. And so on.
