parasyte + cult of the lamb au:

god-marked: pure black areas with optional extra eyes, stands out from the rest of the color palette/styling

the gods: pretend to be mortal npcs until true god form is revealed. represent but do not embody the 7 sins.

shinichi (The Lamb): nearly sacrificed to a god, lost his arm and had it replaced with a nascent god. the protagonist.

migi (the arm): takes over shinichi's arm. very obviously not part of him, being colored pure black in the god-marked way. eventually revealed to be the newborn god of sloth and an offshoot of the god of wrath. the resilient one. possibly an ant in true form

satomi (dog): very loyal to shinichi, appears harmless unless he's under threat. first of possible party members.

ae (unseen): former god of sloth. implied to have been killed by the god of envy. only heard about in lore hints.

shimada (shark): god of (blood)lust (as in lack of self control). the decisive one. first that shinichi encounters as a god; accidentally revealed from mortal form due to desire for followers and/or god empowering trinkets. antagonistic to shinichi due to direct competition. black gills and fin. fight is pretty basic, mostly chase attacks that must be dodged

tamura/tamiya (cobra): god of envy. the cunning one. appears to be several different reptile npcs with different roles (leaf-tailed gecko, crocodile, cobra, possibly turtle) all with distinct black god-markings. can be revealed as secret quest but cannot be fought. can take a new identity every time she sheds her skin. may or may not have adopted an orphan child. true form has extra two blinking eyes on cobra hood

kusano (mantis): god of greed. the proficient one. hides as a hooded character whose blades stick out from robe sleeves ever so slightly. his greed only appears when his power is threatened by shinichi or tamura, otherwise he acts like a normal if wary shopkeeper with unique wares and buyable information. black blades. boss battle has two powerful underlings attacking with him, must kill them before killing him

miki (bird (shrike)): god of gluttony. the compelling one. hides as a mortal who recruits followers who turn out to be sacrifices to his godly identity. prior to reveal, is very charming and can give shinichi boosts to find allies with the right dialogue paths. will mirror shinichi's mood and dialogue choices. black stripes around eyes, black beak. boss battle has trap clones player must hit-and-run to find the real god

gotou (wolf): god of wrath. the powerful one. doesn't actually display wrath until breaking point; is otherwise calm despite being chained up. only seen in true form as masked wolf with black fur and 5 eyes until post-game. final boss. basic-seeming boss with powerful hits that can nearly one-shot, actually marathon boss with at least 2-3 boss stages

hirokawa (The Ram): foil to shinichi. priest of the godly sins. impossible to recruit, pure black wool and face as if completely god-marked. noted to be hard to read expressions unless exaggerating or teeth showing. implied to be the 7th sin of pride, but revealed to truly be mortal. not fought; may sacrifice himself to free the god of wrath
