I wanted to add some 'The Originals' ships but I'm only on season 2 so I'll do a second part when I'll end the series.

Also I had 3 songs in mind for Klaroline it was hard to choose just one lol.

And the song I chose for Bonnie and Enzo was so crystal clear in my mind, when I listen to 'lover' I immediately think about them.

Katherine breaks up with Jack two weeks after the events of the musical. She realizes that their relationship was very toxic, so she decides to end that relationship and started going out with Davey.

Jack, although hurt, respects her decision. He then starts going out with Davey’s sister, Sarah (who sadly never made it in the musical, but should have!)

Why do you ship Damon with Nova so much?

I have been so excited to answer this question - sorry it took so long to get to!

Damon is not a great guy, we know this, I don't water him down at all - but at the same time, he got shit on the entire show when it came to relationships.

His father was abusive, Damon did his best to shield his little brother from it, but that left him taking the brunt throughout their childhood. This also meant Stefan was the golden child, he did everything right while Damon was a constant fuck up - mostly due to the abusive upbringing.

Kaherine was his first love, and as much as she loved him back, the magic of the doppelganger draw would always win out to Stefan's favor. Damon sensed this from the beginning, which made him jealous and possessive of her, it was another situation where he would be second best no matter what he did. I think this made him love her harder than Stefan, to Damon love was not a feeling to just enjoy, it became devotion which was an all consuming action. it made Katherine and his love for her and his desire to be with her his entire personality. It was almost as if he was trying to out-love his younger brother and in this he would earn Katherine's affections. Damon does not feel worthy of being loved otherwise.

Damon stayed devoted to Katherine long after Stefan moved on and 'grew up.' He took her death harder and filled in the gaping hole with sex, drugs, alcohol, and any other depressive/manic self sabotaging thing he could find. He even took it out on his brother, probably because Stefan had the ability to move on and he didn't. That was a betrayal to the woman they both loved and that Damon knew loved his brother more.

For the Novamon verse, I do have Katherine going a little harder on Damon than we see canonically. In 1864 with her seeing him more as a toy to play with and Stefan even more obviously the one she loved. His devotion is almost Stockholm like in that case.

Then comes Elena, she's everything he desperately wanted Katherine to be. Sweet, kinda, innocent - taking a genuine interest in his emotional wellbeing even while he's punishing and pushing her away for looking like Katherine. He falls in love with her that first time he spends 10 minutes alone with her. In the middle of once again trying to hurt his brother, she stops him in his tracks and sees him for who he is - a man in deep agonizing pain with no one to turn to due to his own self sabotaging nature.

And once again it's Stefan. It will always be Stefan.

I ship Delena and I ship Datherine, despite the fact that both of them are terrible and toxic in their own ways. They will never be healthy relationships for him, but they are the ONLY ONES he wants. It's the only thing that could ever hope to make him happy (or at least LESS miserable).

For Novamon, we canon diverge around S3 or S4, I can't remember the specifics but there's a point where both of the brothers openly want Elena, and Elena may have even kissed Damon at least once, but the boys agree that whoever she picks the other one will leave town. Elena was never going to pick Damon.

Nova sees Damon for who he is in the same way Elena did, as a broken man just looking for some validation of his pain. Nova also is a strong enough personality to handle him (unlike Elena), she has some of the same control issues as Katherine, but she's not making him vie for attention in the same way. She won't put up with his bullshit, puts him in his place, but takes care of his emotional and physical needs as much as she can. Damon is a bratty subby sub, but so was Elena and Katherine in their own ways - Nova is really his first time with a healthy-ish dominant relationship.

Novamon isn't perfect by any means, they are both fucked up in their own ways. Nova has control issues and struggles to allow herself to open up to him, to truly care about him, and might never fall in love with him the way he loves her.

But for Damon, she's exactly what he needs at that point in his life. A space to heal, a space to learn to be vulnerable in safety (even if she can't let herself return the favor, she does make herself safe for him), and a space where he's not competing with his brother. Having someone like Nova accept his love and devotion and gives him security in it is what makes him happy. Damon is filled with so much love, emotions in general really, and has never had a good outlet for it.

And for Nova, even if she has her own hang ups and problems, I think being with him is slowly healing a few old wounds as well. It's nothing dramatic, but I think he makes her happy when she lets him, and sometimes that's all you really need.

I wanted to ask you did you watched the originals and do you ship klaroline or klamille and what do you think of steroline?

i was a klamille girlie (and halijah :( i'm never over it) through and through, and i love cami so, so dearly and never totally forgave/recovered from what they did to her. my brave girl. i loved the originals a lot and at its best still think it was the superior show, as much as i loved tvd too. the cast (joseph and daniel always get singled out specifically, and for good reason, but charles, leah, claire, phoebe, yusuf!!! et al were all so great) , the insane mikaelson dynamics, the setting in new orleans, the lean in to the grander mythology and gothic horror...catered to me very specifically.

i also don't hide that i was shamelessly a diehard stelena (and to a lesser degree datherine and forwood), i adored stefan and caroline as friends but never enjoyed their dynamic romantically please don't hate me, so the joke was on me because i lost on every single one of these? 😂 though i should note i also mostly quit tvd once elena left and have never entirely watched those last couple of seasons, so i'm sure there are vital aspects i didn't see with how they developed that.

i miss both shows terribly though, i often toy with the idea of a rewatch!
