Game night, some random middle ground they'd come to for mother daughter bonding. Of course Katherine was all for it, because she's highly competitive and stuck as a human now she wanted some kind of upper hand. Some kind of win in life- even if that was just a game.

"It's called being good at stuff. You should try it some time." Of course, being competitive means she's mean and smack talks. Oh yea her daughter is not at all exempt from the shit talking.

It's amusing to her when people banter with this fox. She's always twice as witty and cunning as most people assume she would be. When you've been around for 500 years and played both the victim and the villain you grow a certain type of spine that doesn't buckle easy no matter what the weight.

Fun little mind games like these are her favourite. Testing the sensibilities and moralities of her prey. She is after all, a predatory animal only doing what she needs to, to survive. This game however is for her own entertainment. The man by the dumpster would be the easiest prey. The quickest secured and no one would know the wiser.... but the prey still standing? The prey that won the fight for his life? That's the prey she finds more interesting to hunt.

He feels strangely like a baby gazelle in the Serengeti, with her pacing. Green eyes don't quite stop watching her, as he dabs at his nose with a black long sleeve. "Shitty work day, I'm a mortician and sometimes the dead aren't so grateful."

"Are you a serial killer?" sometimes his intrusive thoughts win, a vague motion at the crumpled body by the dumpster. "That dipshit tried to jump me...I think I broke his arm."
