its my birthday

I dont usually celebrate my birthday, im not a huge fan of it, but-

I wanted to say that (now that this blog is a year or so old now its also my blogs birthday give or take a few days) the greatest gift ive gotten has been all of you. My followers and the people who have stuck by me from the beginning and also new comers who have supported me especially in the rough patches.

You guys make me happy, and while i am known for being competitive, first and foremost my follower count has always been important to me bc its the number of people who want to see me on their dash. It means a lot to me, and there is a lot of you. So I wanted to take a second and thank every single one of my followers, even if we aren't mutuals- you mean something to me. A lot to me actually.

So thank you, for being here, sticking around, and picking me.

I am eternally grateful for your presence.

She wont say it because shes being a moody brat right now, but Katherine is also glad youre all here.

The greatest gift i have ever recived is all of you.

Well look at that it's 2024, and my new years resolution is to stay an unbothered icon queen, and hope the hater's die mad. But I also thought I'd take a second to shout out to the people who make the shit show of a year 2023 bearable, and even enjoyable in some cases.

As trash as the rpc has a tendency to be there are still a lot of you that make this place more than worth it. I clearly cant shout out to all 900 something followers but I can highlight some of you. If you're not listed don't worry I still appreciate you immensely for being here, these are just the people that have really impacted my time here so far.

@unsettledspirits / @zoomingupthathill what can i say that I already haven't. There's 3 months worth of daily reasons to love you. You built the one ship that beat Steferine with me, honestly it was a surprise to everyone. Happy to see you back on Max ruling over your ST kingdom.

@hybrid-royalty-main Damon you piece of shit, I hate you the absolute most, and I'm so glad youre here with all the boys tbh. You bring such a unique quality to each one of them. Especially were-jer, it has been an absolute HOOT watching you take on the challenges of a teenaged were pup.

@baby-royalty My sired child with loyalty so unwavering you make the sire bond in the show look tame lmfao. The universe pulled us together the second I stepped foot into this hellsite again and I have enjoyed watching you grow into the person and writer that you are now. I'm proud of you.

@klaeus Kiki I adore you sm, you and your knock off brand doppelganger and scruffy mutt hybrid (affectionate) I love talking about the show and dynamics and honestly just about everything with you. You try, and thats more than most people do for me. Plus your grafics are just chefs kiss.

Ok, I'm gonna be really real with this one since it's the last one in my inbox... AND it's been bothering me for weeks...

Excessive validation/interaction seeking... is not a good look. Like I get it, you have down days you need reassurance on your portrayal or maybe some validation for an OC.... but daily talk about how no one want's to rp with you, constant negativity on the dash, begging for compliments- and I dont mean on occasion... I mean like... literally daily...

That's not a good look. Begging for interaction and complaining constantly is more likely to get you followers lost than followers interacting. A lot of people do want to write with you, but don't want to feed into the behaviors you're putting on the dash. Send asks, make starters and tag people. But if most of your posts are ooc and you make no effort to actually write with the people who reach out... or like... idk if people give you validation and you just turn around and keep begging for more? You're only making the people that stepped up for you feel like they don't matter.

Its OK to feel down, it's OK to need to seek validation every now and then- but guilt tripping your dash is not how you get MORE interaction. Its how you burn your current followers and nuke your ability to get new ones. People who are here to write, want to WRITE they don't want to baby you every day just on the off chance you'll reply. LISTEN to the people that hype you up. Bc the more people you shoot down, the less people will come back to hype you up the next time you need it.

The fact that people follow you, means they want to write, and if they want to write it means they think you're good enough. If you need validation RB a portrayal meme every other week or so, tag the positivity and save them to look at the next time youre feeling down. Filling up dashes with ooc begging posts wont get you more interaction... sorry but it wont.

I see this from a LOT of new/recent blogs as of late and it makes me cringe every time. Just relax guys. It's not that serious. Love the followers you have, write with them, let them hype you up... you'll grow as a writer and a person. I promise. Excessive attention seeking will only LOSE you interaction.

PSA: Regarding threads

I'm going to have to go back to reinforcing my thread limit rule for my own peace of mind- So the rule will be as follows:

Mains/exclusives: 2 threads per blog

Multis and regular moots: 1 thread per blog/muse.

So if youre a multi we can have a thread for more than one muse and it doesn't count for the one limit. It's one thread per muse in the case of multis.

I know a lot of people don't like thread caps but my thread count be up there with Egyptian cotton sheets atm and its getting overwhelming. I don't want to be one of those ppl that drops every thread I have every month because it's too much and I let them build up... so! Thread limit for the time being till either some of them end or whatever.

You are still welcome to send in ask trains I don't mind those either.
