Hi, dear all... long time no see...share my new discovery from Nov. 1988 PLAYBOY Magazine. It says:"James Wilby trifles with his Cambridge schoolmate Hugh Grant."..Merry Christmas!!
When will people realise that The Secret History was so popular and so well loved because of its ability to create an artificial "idyllic" aesthetic and sound fake deep while actually satirizing Western academic elitism and just how far rich white people are willing to go for their stupid ideologies? The books being marketed as dark academia nowadays end up romanticising the genre and add nothing new to the platter except for pretentious quotes and the superficial aesthetic. But the real factor that made TSH so powerful was its satire, and its successors don't realise that; they just blindly copy the aesthetic, and are pitched as the next Donna Tartt or whatever.
I’m really sorry that I’m such a bad texter!!!! And a bad e-mailer, call-backer, Skype IMer, discord IMer, tumblr chatter, twitter DMer, Facebook messenger, Friendster friend, friend in general, lover, writer, blogger, farmer,
latin professor tried to explain the difference between ille/illa/illud and iste/ista/istud by saying “If you say ‘illum’ you mean ‘that man’, but if you say ‘istum’ you mean that motherfucker’ before gasping, covering his mouth, and whispering “I forgot I can’t say that that until I get tenure”
