"why are you here?"
the january cold may have been harsh on suna's skin, but your words were harsher on his heart.
he's standing at the doorstep of your apartment, and in front of an irriated and groggy looking you, who he may have awoken at three am in the middle of the night.
you cross your arms and lean on the doorway frame, waiting for his answer.
he may have expected a bit of a warmer greeting, though he's not sure if his expectations are valid β not anymore, not since you've broken up with him.
"i, uhm," he trails off and pauses, looking around everywhere but at you, "i need somewhere to stay at."
you frown at him, "suna, are you drunk?"
you might as well have taken a knife and stabbed it in his heart when you used his last name as he replies, "no. maybe βΒ a little bit."
you know he's lying, you've known him for three years to know when he is, and you've known him for three years to know when he's drunk β and the red that taints his cheeks say that he may have had more than his fair share of drinks.
"can i come in?" he asks, finally looking at you, you can see the way he slightly shivers with the chill that stings in the air.
you don't know what to say, you don't know if you should let him in β no, you know that you shouldn't let him in and he knows that he shouldn't be asking this question, he knows he shouldn't even be here in the first place, and yet here he stands at the doorstep of your apartment.
you stay silent, for a moment, and then two before you finally answer him, "i guess i can't just leave you at the mercy of the january cold." you say quietly as you step away from the doorway and let him in β it's a snowy and crisp night, and you can't send him out on the streets where the biting winds would get him.
and besides, against your bitter will, you may have missed him.
suna navigates his way around your apartment as though it's his second home, you presume that it is or at least it used to be as you watch him make his way to the couch and slump on it.
"make yourself comfortable, i guess." you mutter under your breath before you disappear into your room.
suna knows that he shouldn't be here, not when he's intoxicated and drunk on martinis, not after he went to the bar to do so just to get his mind off of you, and yet he still found himself circling back to you, first with a phone call, then two, then three, all which you didn't notice until he decided to finally go to your place, his feet dragged him there as though it was second nature and it might as well have been his lucky day when you let him in even though your break up ended with you saying that you didn't want to have anything to do with him.
but suna can't help it, he really can't, he can't get his mind off of you and his heart still longs for you but he thinks he's exaggerating, at least now he does with the alcohol settling in his system, his mind a daze with the only thought on it being you and the fact that he's at your apartment, and his eyelids now feel heavier.
and so when you come back with a pillow and comforter for him, you find him laying on the couch, head facing the ceiling.
a small smiles stretches at your lips as you make your way over to him, "sleepy already? i guess you've had too much to handle." you chide as you begin to cover him with the comforter, his eyes are still open but droopy.
"y/n," he calls out your name and you can't help but pause at it as you answer him, "yes?"
"i love you." he says, it's quiet, a bit intimate and almost innocent as he looks at you, waiting for your answer.
you may have not noticed how eloquent his tone was, how heartfelt his words actually were, or maybe you did, maybe you just chose to ignore it or maybe you just didn't believe him no matter how honest he actually was because you frown at him with a slight pout at your lips.
you say quietly, "you're too drunk, suna."
you tuck him in, your heart beating dully in your chest, maybe you can't hear his heartbeat but you can see the way his eyes dim as his chest throbs at your words.
the january cold may have been harsh but you don't realize how much harsher your words are to him as you speak once more,
"maybe tell me that when you're sober."

You looked through the small window, watching as another plane took off, disappearing into the sky just a bit later. The plane you were sitting in was also about to take off in a few minutes. You knew you should be happy that you're going to get an opportunity to start everything in a new country with the love of your life, but something inside you felt wrong.
You sighed, looking around to see all the passengers were finally seated. The pilots announced that the plane will be taking off, and it sent shivers down your spine. Leaving the country you grew up in and were familiar with just felt so bad.
Your leg shook slightly, and you moved uncomfortably in your seat. This didn't go unnoticed by Akira.
"it's gonna be okay." He muttered, looking away from you. It's as if he didn't want to be caught being all soft and caring. He gently put a hand on your leg, stopping it from shaking.
You raise your eyebrows, you didn't hear him over all the chatter in the plane. "Huh?"
Akira scooted closer to you, holding your hand tightly. He repeated what he said, loud enough for you to hear this time. "It's gonna be okay, yeah? I'll be there, I always am."
Even whilst being slightly regretful about everything that was happening, you can't help but put a weak, but genuine smile on your face.

You and Shoyo were friends since what felt like forever.
You remember doing everything together. Riding bikes to school together, falling asleep while binge watching volleyball matches, buying ice cream after school without any of your parents knowing β¦ your high school years with Shoyo really were the days you cherish, even now.
Your friendship with him was special. He was just another kid in the neighborhood, and within a few months, he became your best friend. You felt safe with him, and he did anything to keep you close. Shoyo was one of the most important people in your life, he was like a brother.
Well, what's the problem? Somewhere along the lines of spending hundreds of hours with you, Shoyo fell in love.
He first noticed it in his first year of college. He noticed how every little thing you do makes him more nervous about what you think of him. You would hand him a cup of water, and he'd think for just a second about how he should take it. Should he grab it and smile brightly at you β¦ or take it normally and utter a sweet 'thank you'? He's never over thought this much in his life!
At first, he wanted to tell you straight away, but something inside him kept telling him not to. He was scared that your friendship might fall apart, or maybe you'd move away, and just all the bad things.
But luckily, you two stayed friends even after college. You even became the reporter for MSBY Black Jackals. You were so happy that you got to spend even more time with Shoyo, but not more happy than he was.
Shoyo was hopeful that maybe this was a sign that you two might end up together, just like he wanted. But, not everything goes the way you want them to go, do they?
Within just a few weeks, a player caught your eyes. A player who wasn't Shoyo. But instead, Kiyoomi Sakusa.
Did Shoyo notice that? Of course he did, but he denied believing it. He didn't wanna think about it too much, as long as you were still friends with him.

Today was your birthday. A day that Shoyo has remembered for almost two decades. It's one of his favorite days of the year. Well, why wouldn't it be? Everyone loves picking gifts for their loved ones.
It was an early morning, way before practice even started. You always came to practice early before everyone else, and he knew that. He wanted to be the first one to say happy birthday to you, like he always did.
He slowly creeped into the gymnasium, trying to make as less sound as possible. His eyes wandered around the huge gym, looking for you. He walked further into the gym, and tried knocking on the door of the storage room. If you were in there, it probably wouldn't have been locked. He furrowed his eyes a bit, seeming confused. Did you just not come yet? Was he too early?
He walked out of the gym, and started texting you: "(y/n) !! are you awake yet? good morning :)"
he stared at the text for a minute, no reply. Maybe you really were still asleep. He sighed, about to head to his car, thinking it was way too early to be at practice, until he heard giggling from a distance. It sounded way too much like your voice.
His head jolted around to look back at the gym. He starting walking slowly towards where the sound was coming from. It seemed like the back of the gym.
As he got closer, the chatter got more audible. He was convinced that this was your voice. But he had never heard you laugh like that with anyone but him. So, who was it? He was desperate to find out.
He got to the back of the gym, peeking his head through, just enough for him to see what was going on. And there you were, with his teammate, Sakusa. Your hand was on his shoulder, and he didn't even try to move it away.
Shoyo slowly walked away with his head down, the small gift box about to fall from his hands. In the back of his mind, he knew that this day would come, but he just didn't know it would be so soon.
As he was about to open the door to his car, he looked back at the gymnasium one more time. All the memories of you and him flooding back in his eyes.
And in that moment, he realized that from now on, he'd never be able to be the first person to say happy birthday to you, he'd be the second.

matching outfits.
kotaro has never been the best with fashion, but with the help of you and his teammates, he has gotten better at dressing his son up
like imagine there's just a whole section in the closet just for matching father-son outfits.
He's gonna spend thousands on clothes for the family. sometimes all of you go out wearing the same colour outfit or something
matching jerseys too, little Ichiro always goes to his father's games wearing an identical, but smaller jersey <3
his son is gonna be a total daredevil, sometimes even kotaro surprisingly gets worried.
the kid is gonna have little star printed bandaids all over his little hands and legs, but I guess people learn from their mistakes, don't they?
he's gonna love being the center of attention, clinging to his dad whenever he's getting interviewed. He just wants the world to know that a star player like his dad has a star son like him!
overall, Bokuto gets an A for being an adept father.

in conclusion, Ayaka's life as the daughter of worldwide famous kodzuken is something a lot of people would want

Whilst I deeply love mean Tsukki who teases and (consentually) bullies you, god am I weak for soft needy Tsukki π©
I am a firm believer in clingy!Tsukki, who likes to pretend heβs not, or even better claim that youβre the clingy one.
But oh no, if heβs not in your arms within 5 minutes of being alone best believe that he will Pout. Heβll be dead silent but I swear his pout is audible.
He definitely listens to music on his headphones with his head under your shirt.
If he canβt do that then heβll have his hands on your skin, some way some how.
Will spoon with his hand tucked under your shirt (If heβs the little spoon he is holding your hand!)
Man is a straight up feline when it comes to affection - If youβre doing something in a different room he will act like itβs a complete coincidence that heβs there too
Or he wont, but believe he will claim itβs cause he canβt trust you to do it properly which is why you need his close, hands on supervision.
