I like to think Cater likes both coffee and tea so when people ask "Are you a coffee person or a tea person?" he'd answer both.
I'm aware Cater has a strong dislike for anything sweet, but I also like to think he isn't really bitter-tolerate. So, when he has his tea or coffee, he'd put in about a teaspoon or two of sugar just to balance out the flavour of both drinks.
He isn't really one for creamy (?) coffee or tea me thinks, so the only added thing he'd add in those two drinks is sugar that's just enough so it doesn't taste too bitter for him to swallow.
Maybe later down the line he'd like black coffee perhaps? But well, I've had this headcanon for a long while so I'm sticking with him liking his coffee and tea with a bit of sugar.
