The characters looked GREAT already from the initial piece, but I felt like there needed to be something behind them aside from just a white background with text... so I made my own cover 😎

I followed the Dragon Ball/One Piece manga cover design cause they make a neat “POPPING OUT” effect for their characters; which I really liked.

Looking back at this piece now, I realized the colors I chose kinda makes an interesting retro effect. Like it kinda looks like sumn you’d see from a 90s/00s magazine, but it just needs more grain or texture. I didn’t mean to do that, but in retrospect, still looks VERY VERY COOL 😲

Same as the last post I did, but with more background 🖼 ✨

The characters looked GREAT already from the initial piece, but I felt like there needed to be something behind them aside from just a white background with text... so I made my own cover 😎

I followed the Dragon Ball/One Piece manga cover design cause they make a neat “POPPING OUT” effect for their characters; which I really liked.

Hey y’all, Happy (Belated) New Year! 🎉

Starting this year off with my FIRST ever piece of digital fanart (not including doodles or OC inserts)! From this piece onward, it’s gonna be more fanart-focused content now. Just wanna bring my impressions up 🤷‍♂️

Anyways, here’s a Soul Eater piece! Watched it probably a year or two ago and been meaning to offer an art tribute, so here we are. I got inspired to make it like an original manga cover so I can make my piece less empty 🙂

Traditional version!

DISCLAIMER ⚠️:

The following doodles were MOSTLY TRACED and the only input I have done is the change in Usopp’s pose, Luffy’s arm and shoulder, Zoro’s lower body (doodle on right most side), and the coloring. I did NOT do the doodles on my own and HEAVILY relied on the screenshots I used

Now with that said, the PURPOSE of these doodles was to practice digital and traditional coloring AND... finally make some fanart.

If anyone asks how I did these doodles, I made the line art (TRACED FROM SCREENSHOTS) on my art program, lowered the opacity to ~30%, made the background transparent, then printed a couple copies to finish with pen and marker! Now I had a coloring page with little risk if I messed up!

Regardless, it was still pretty stressful doing the lineart and coloring. From my first and second attempts, I’ve learned that my pens can blot if stuck in too long in the same position, leave a gross trail if colored without letting the lineart to DRY, and that my colors can escape the lineart if too close to the edge

Still, pretty fun to do and test out some markers for once. Looking forward to doing this again for more practice! If anyone wants to take anything from this, just look what I had to say in the last paragraph and NOT do that

I did NOT make these doodles by myself, rather HEAVILY trace what I can, then figure the rest of the drawing myself OUTSIDE of the screenshot. PURPOSE:

I wanted to be able to practice coloring both digitally and traditionally (with markers). The traditional version has been posted on my side, so check it out here if you want to know more details about it. Also also, gotta make fanart now. Nobody really checks my OC shit anymore on here 🤷‍♂️

With that said...

HOLY SHIT, IM GETTING INTO FANART NOW, OK GUYS, JEEEEEZ 😡

As far as my One Piece experience... I GET IT NOW GUYS. REALLY likable main cast, ADORABLE dynamics, SURPRISINGLY good writing, the comedy actually HITS... it’s PEAK. I just started watching it cause my sis wanted me to and the arc I was watching for Shippuden was DOOKIE, so I needed a pallete cleanser. And man... I didn’t just get a pallete cleanser, I got a FULL COURSE MEAL. Rn, I’m only in Drum Kingdom and I’m still pretty early in the show... but I think it is SO much better than Naruto.

Looking forward to drawing more fanart, and MUCH more so for One Piece fanart 🏴‍☠️✨

I only used the Caliart markers for my OC, Inid, and for some colors for the Soul Eater doodle, but for the most part, I used the Creative Expert marker set... mostly because I bought it myself 😌

Personally, I think the set is PRETTY sweet. Bright colors, decent skin tones, and MOST IMPORTANTLY... grabbed for a STEAL!

Like... $12-15 steal (can’t remember the price exactly but it was around that much I believe). I found it randomly lying around a Ross and gotta say... VERY glad I found them and HIGHLY recommend them if you find some 😎👍

“I’m Old Now LOL”

Yep, I’m 20. And I have BEEN 20 for 5 days. Due to bad time manegement and general laziness, I was unable to post this on the ACTUAL birthday. Man... I been trying to post things on certain days and I couldn’t even post a B-Day piece on the actual day? I was late to my OWN birthday party?!? 🤡

Anyways, it’s done now.

I’m just tryna do more now that I’m 20. Meaning HOPEFULLY more art and just doing more important adult... things. So far I have done some important adult things, and I feel very cool about it😎

“What’cha Doin’ Down There?”

THIS TOOK FOREVER TO MAKE 😩💀

Fun Fact: This and the “Dollhouse” piece (the one I did on Halloween) were initially created a YEAR ago 😳

I didn’t actually work on it for a whole year, just putting it off and procrastinating for a very long time for before I said, “Oopsie, me forgor 🤡”

Anyways, I’ve FINALLY finished it and happy to say that this makes the first RENDERED piece I’ve made. I’m very new to making BGs and rending clothes, but it’s my first time trying and I’ve got a LOT to learn.

I’m generally happy with the results, but as I’m aware about the mistakes, I’m willing to learn. So please, leave some art tips below if you’d like! I’d love to get some criticism to build upon my work 😁

“Dollhouse”

Here’s a Junji-Ito inspired piece because his work SLAPS 😎👍

I tried capturing his style but of course, with some of my artistic liberties

I figured this would be a good time to post this with the release of Uzumaki hopefully coming next year (also, of course, SPOOKY SEASON). Reading the manga was REALLY good so I hope the show/movie will be able to capture it’s essence just as good. I am SUPER hyped to watch it 🍥✨

For those who have been keeping up with the @majorleagueamateur and @mla-doodlez lore, content has been CONSISTENTLY been slow and absent. To no surprise, it’ll probably be like that for the future chapters of this constantly changing story (from what I have heard 👂)
